Schönen Dienstag Euch allen!
Heute gibt es, wie jeden Dienstag, eine Sugar Nellie Karte für Euch. Und weil endlich der Sommer herausgekommen ist, ist sie besonders sommerlich ausgefallen.

Today as every tuesday I am sharing a Sugar Nellie Card with you. And since summer seems to finally have arrived it is a summer-ish one.

Butterflies and Pigtails ist der Name des Stempels. Und ich finde ihn perfekt passend zu einem Sommertag, an dem die Schmetterlinge durch den Garten fliegen.
Farblich bin ich eher bei gedeckten Tönen geblieben, als die knallig-bunten Sommerfarben auszupacken. Aber ich finde, das macht gar nichts.
Um eine Verbindung zwischen Motiv und Karte zu erreichen, habe ich die Schmetterlinge aus dem Motiv aufgegriffen und sie in gestanzter Form auf der Karte wiederholt. Genauer gesagt ist dort nur ein Schmetterling zu finden, dieser dafür aber besonders schön. Ich habe ihn einmal aus blauem Cardstock gestanzt, den ich dann mit Stickles überzogen habe, und anschließend noch einmal aus weißem Vellum, auf das ich in gelb einen Schmetterling gestempelt habe.

Butteflies and Pigtails is the name of this stamp. And I think it's showing the perfect summer day, on which those butterflies are fluttering around.
Colorwise I went with some muted tones instead of those bright summer colors. But I don't think that isn't summer-ish enough.
To get a connection between the image and the card I repeated the butterflies on the image as an embellishment on my card. Therefor I punched a butterfly from blue cardstock that I covered with Stickles afterwards, and also punched another one from white vellum on which I stamped a butterfly with yellow ink before.
The saying is by Whiff Of Joy.

Hallo und schönen Dienstag!
Wie jede Woche, zeige ich Euch auch heute eine Karte mit einem der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie. Und diesmal habe ich "I Grant You One Wish" verwendet. Auch wenn Sommer ist, die Schneeflocken und der frostige Look haben mich zumindest etwas abgekühlt.

As every week I am sharing a card using one of those cute stamps by Sugar Nellie. And this week I went with "I Grant You One Wish". Even if it's summer outside - those snowflakes and the frosty look cooled me down a bit.

Ich habe das Motiv hier zweimal gestempelt - einmal nur die Flügel in blau-grau-grün, und darüber dann den Rest des Motives mit schwarzer Farbe. Vorher habe ich so genau wie möglich die schwarze Tinte von allen Flügel-Linien abgewischt. Ich gebe zu, ich brauchte zwei Versuche, aber das Ergebnis war es wert!
Natürlich durften ein paar große Schneeflocken und Eiskristalle als Deko nicht fehlen.

I stamped this image twice - first I only inked up the wings with a blue-grey-green-ish color and then added the rest of the image with black ink. Before I removed as acurat as possible all the black ink from the wings' lines. I admit, I needed two tries but the result was definately worth it!
Of course I had to add some snowflakes and sparkling ice crystals as decoration.

Heute zeige ich Euch wieder eine Karte mit einem der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie.

As every tuesday I share another Sugar Nellie creation with you today.

Der Stempel auf meiner Karte ist in Wirklichkeit ein Digi, designed von Diane Duda und heißt Best Buds. Ich finde dieses Motiv einfach großartig und auch wenn Jungenkarten wohl eher weniger weit oben auf der "Dinge-die-ich-gerne-mache"-Liste stehen, dieses Motiv hat es mir wirklich leicht gemacht. Es ist wunderbar zu colorieren - und wenn ich es anschaue muss ich grinsen.
Dekomäßig habe ich mich zurückgehalten - etwas Cheesecloth, ein Knopf, zwei Sterne und etwas Distressing müssen reichen. Dafür gibt der schwarze Cardstock einen schönen Kontrast.

The stamp I used here is actually a digi designed by Diane Duda. It's called Best Buds. I just love this image and even if those boys' cards aren't on top of my "things-I-love-to-make"-list, this image made it easy. It's so great to color in and whenever I look at it I just have to smile.
I didn't add a lot of decoration - some cheesecloth, a button, two stars and some distressing had to do it. But the black cardstock I used for the matting really adds to the card.

Ich habe hier den Apfel im Motiv aufgegriffen und ihn sozusagen zum roten Faden der Karte gemacht - die Apfelform im Hintergrund, das Apfelpapier, der Apfelcharm....

I picked up the apple as my guiding line through the whole card - the apple shape on the card, the designer's paper and the charm...

Das Motiv habe ich auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Wenn Ihr wissen möchtet, wie genau, dann schaut doch auf dem Copic Marker Europe Blog vorbei. Dort zeige ich Euch in einem Tutorial Schritt für Schritt wie's geht.

I stamped the image on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copics. If you want to know how to do color on kraft cardstock please hop over to the Copic Marker Europe Blog where I have a step by step tutorial up for you.

Für die Innenseite habe ich das "Negativ" meines großen Apfels als Basis genommen und mit kraftfarbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Schreiblinien bestempelt habe, unterlegt. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

For the inside of the card I used the leftover piece of cardstock that was left from cutting the apple for the front and put some kraft cardstock underneath that I stamped school lines on. The saying is by Stampin'Up.

Das Motiv, das wir Euch heute präsentieren dürfen, heißt "Cat Sitting". Es wird, zusammen mit allen anderen neuen Motiven, ab Freitag bei Funkykits erhältlich sein.

The image we are going to showcase today is named Cat Sitting. This and all the other new stamps will be available friday at Funkykits.

Ich habe das Motiv verwendet, um einen Türhänger zu machen. Do not disturb - was gibt es schöneres, als mit einer schnurrenden Katze auf dem Bauch in den Tag hinein zu träumen...? Auf diesem Türhänger konnte ich auch endlich mal den Pfoten- und den Fischgräten-Tag verwenden, die mit eine Die geschnitten sind. Und die ausgeschnittene Fischgräte habe ich gleich unten noch als Deko mit angebracht.

I used this image ot make a door hanger. Do not disturb - can there be anything better than having a purring cat lying on your belly and then dream the day away...? I also finally used those tag dies with the paw and the fish on this hanger. The cut out fish has been used as well, next to the paw.

Wegen des Whiff Of Joy Blog Hops etwas verspätet - meine Sugar Nellie Karte für diese Woche. Auf dem Sugar Nellie Blog gab es sie bereits gestern zu sehen...

Because of the Whiff Of Joy blog hop I am one day late showing you this on my blog - my Sugar Nellie card of this week. It was posted on the Sugar Nellie Blog yesterday.

Enstanden ist eine Muttertagskarte mit Jungenmotiv. Nathan heißt es und es ist aus der Simply Adorable Reihe. Ihr lobt mich ja oft wegen meiner Coloration - diesmal gebührt mir diese Ehre nicht. Denn die Motive aus dieser Reihe sind so toll gezeichnet, dass das Colorieren wie von allein geht. Einfach dunkle Farbe auf die dunklen Stellen im Motiv, mittleren Farbton auf die hellgrauen Bereiche und den hellsten Farbton auf die weißen Stellen auftragen - und Schatten, Licht, Falten und Haarsträhnen entstehen wie von Zauberhand!

I made a mother's day card using this boy's image. It's called "Nathan" and it's from the Simply Adorable range. I often get comments about my coloring skills - but this time I don't really deserve these. The images from this range are drawn so wonderfully that coloring is as easy as 1-2-3. Put the darkest tone on the dark areas of the image, a middle tone on the light grey areas and the lightest color on the white areas of the image and shadow, light, pleats and hair come out perfectly!

As every tuesday I am sharing a card with you using one of the cute Sugar Nellie stamps also today.
For this card I went with

Ich liebe dieses Motiv und seine Ausstrahlung. Wie sich Bär und Junge aneinander klammern... Für die Karte habe ich mich für eine blau-weiß Kombi entschieden, zum Matten habe ich dunkles Grau verwendet. Das schafft etwas Kontrast.
Der Text "Ich bin da für Dich - egal was ist" ist von Stampin'Up und paßt hier einfach super.
Die Ränder der Papiere habe ich mal wieder mit Crackle Paint eingefärbt.

I love this image and its atmosphere. How boy and bear holding each other.... For this card I went with a blue and white combo, for the matting I went with a dark grey. This adds some contrast.
The saying "I'm here for you - no matter what" is by Stampin'Up and it's like made for just this image.
I used Crackle Paint on the edges of the papers.

Every tuesday it's Sugar Nellie time here on my blog - and today I want to share a card that I made using Belle, one of the cute Ribonitas, the newest addition to the Sugar Nellie family.

Als diese Karte entstande, schien draußen die Sonne und es herrschte wunderbares Frühlingswetter. Und das hat mich dazu inspiriert, richtig fröhliche Farben zu benutzen. Und darum habe ich zu blau und rot gegriffen. Mit dem kurzen Kleidchen scheint Belle aber auch geradewegs von einer Sommerwiese zu kommen...

When I made this card the sun has been shining and the weather was warm and spring-ish. And that inspired me to use bright and happy colors. So I picked red and blue.
With her short dress Belle seems to come from a blooming summer meadow....

Naja, auch wenn die Sonne hier momentan nicht so richtig scheinen will - Frühling liegt ganz eindeutig in der Luft. Und darum gibt es heute von mir eine Frühlingskarte zu sehen.

Well, even if the sun isn't shining here at the moment you can feel it: spring is in the air. And so I have a spring card to share with you today.

Ich habe dafür Hippie Chick verwendet - einer der allerersten Simply Sassy Stempel, die ich mir gekauft habe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmotive. Farblich bin ich diesmal im blau-grün Bereich geblieben und passend zu den leicht rötlichen Haaren habe ich der Süßen mit einem Copic Fine Liner 0.5 in Sepia kleine Sommersprossen verpaßt.

I used Hippie Chick here - one of the first Simply Sassy Stamps I ever bought and still one of my favourites. I used blue-greens for my coloring and matching the slightly red hair coloring I used a Sepia Copic Fine Liner 0,5 to add little spreckles to this cutie's face.

Today I have a card to share - just because and using an older but wonderful stamp by Sugar Nellie: Faraway Thoughts (and at the moment this one is on offer at Funkykits!).

Ich habe für meine Karte den Sketch aus dem Sugar Bowl verwendet und auch die Option "kraft" umgesetzt. Dazu habe ich das Motiv auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt, was prima zum Design paßt. Die Stanze von Magnolia erinnerte mich an Wellen... Der Text ist mit dem Computer geschrieben. Als Deko habe ich 2 der kleinen 3D-Sternchen gefaltet.

I used the sketch from the Sugarbowl Challenge here and also included the optional extra of "kraft". Therefor I stamped the image on kraft cardstock which is great with the designs of the stamp. The die from Magnolia reminded me of waves..., saying is computer generated. As decoration I made 2 of those cute 3d stars.

Zur Feier des Tages gibt es eine Valentinskarte in nicht ganz so klassischen Valentinstagsfarben für Euch...

Happy Valentine's day everyone!
Today I have  valentine's card to share that is not made using the typical colors of red, white and pink...

Okay, ganz ehrlich - ich konnte diese Farbkombi einfach nicht mehr sehen. Dafür kam diesmal die Copic-RV-Gruppe zum Einsatz. Ich glaube, ich kann an einer Hand abzählen, wie oft ich die verwendet habe... Dabei macht sie sich echt prima, vor allem in Kombi mit blau (schließlich darf es bei mir ja nicht zu bunt werden).

Okay, to be honest - I was so sick of this color combo... Instead I used my Copics RV colors here. I really only used these a few times so far. But it looks great and I like it to be combined with blues (well, you know me, I don't do bright colors or color combos too often).

Ich habe hier eines der süßen Simply Sassy Motive von Sugar Nellie verwendet: Call Me. Oh, das Motiv ist so wunderbar für Teenie-Karten - nicht nur für Valentin oder liebesbezogen. Ich glaube, jeder erinnert sich an Stunden, die man mit der besten Freundin am Telefon gehangen hat... (am besten werden sich wohl unsere Väter daran erinnern, oder?).
Ich habe hier den Text "ich denke an Dich" - 24 Stunden am Tag, 7 Tage die Woche auf die Karte gebracht. Man in Deutsch hätte das wohl nie auf die Karte gepaßt. LOL

I used one of the cute Simply Sassy images by Sugar Nellie: Call Me. This image is so wonderful for teen's card - not only for valentine's or love related. I guess all of us remember those hours we hang on the phone with our best friends... (most of us our dads will remember, don't they?).
I added the text of "thinking of you - 24/7" to the card.

Just in time also this thursday we at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge up for you. Buttons and bows is our new theme.

Ich habe mich für dieses süße Motiv von Sugar Nellie entschieden und es ganz nostalgisch in Sepia-Tönen coloriert. Und auch für den Rest der Karte habe ich hauptsächlich braun und beige/creme verwendet. Das Band der großen Schleife habe ich etws gekräuselt, die Knöpfe sind aus Herz-Stanzern selbst gemacht.

I went with this cute image by Sugar Nellie and colored it in sepia tones. Also for the rest of the card I mainly used browns and beige/cream. I ruffled the ends of the big bow, the buttons are made using a heart punch.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Es ist Samstag und somit wieder Zeit fürs Stempeleinmaleins.

Hello dear ones!
It's saturday and that means there is a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins.

Nur noch 1 Woch bis Weihnachten.... Da dürfte unsere Geschenktüte gerade recht kommen. Schnell gemacht, persönlich und eine tolle Sache für eine Kleinigkeit.

It's only one week left til christmas... So this gift bag may come in handy. It's fast and easy made, handmade, personal and great for putting in little gifts.

Ich habe hier einen Stempel von Sugar Nellie verwendet, ihn auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und nur mit Copics in W-Tönen schattiert. Später habe ich dann für den Kontrast noch etwas Opaque White aufgetragen sowie den Schneemann mit Stickles beglittert.
Und farblich passend zum Motiv habe ich dann auch die wunderschönen Papiere von Papercrafts Scandinavia zum verzieren verwendet.

I used a Sugar Nellie stamp here, stamped it on craft cardstock and only used some W-tones Copics to add some shadow. Later I also added some Opaque White for a little contrast and covered the snowman with Stickles.
To make the papers and image match I used some of those beautiful papers by Papercrafts Scnadinavia again to decorate my bag.

Mein Mädels haben auf dem Mekka solche Schrumpfies gemacht, die dann mit einem unter UV-Licht aushärtenden Epoxy-Gel überzogen wurden. Naja, Ihr kennt mich, das Gel mußte her. Und es mußte gleich ausprobiert werden. Es ist auf jeden Fall haltbarer und kratzfester als Glossy Accents!

My girls made some charms from shrink foil while we were at Stempelmekka and those got covered with a special gel that hardens under UV light. Well, you know me, I had to have it. And I had to try it. It's super strong and glossy and way more scratch resistent than Glossy Accents!
