Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich eine Hochzeitskarte machen könnte - die Details habe ich erst später erfahren. Nun, es stellte sich heraus, dass die Hauptfarbe der Karte schwarz sein sollte. Finde ich für Hochzeitskarten ja eher schwierig, aber ich habe mich der Herausforderung gestellt. Rausgekommen ist dann diese Karte und ich finde sie doch schön geworden.

I was asked if I'd make a wedding card - and hadn't known anything about the details yet. Well, turned out that the main color of the card should be black. This is not the first color that comes to my mind when I think wedding card but I took on the challenge. This is what I came up with and I actually like the result.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock zugeschnitten und mit silberner Folie den Twist Pattern von PinkFreshStudio auffoliert. Der ist ja wieder in amerikanischem A2 Format. Also habe ich links und rechts ein wenig weggeschnitten und die fehlenden Millimeter in der Höhe mit schwarzer Paste, die ich rundum auf den Rand aufgetragen habe, überdeckt.
For the background I cut a piece of black cardstock and then foiled on the Twist Pattern by PinkFreshStudio with silver hot foil onto the cardstock. The hotfoil plate is in the american A2 size. To make it fit a german standard card I cut off a strip on both sides and covered the missing millimeters on the top and bottom with some black paste, that I dabbed on along the edge of the card panel.
Aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock habe ich dann erst eines der Elegant Rectangle Stax von MFT ausgetanzt und eine Größer kleiner wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock.
Auf das Label aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich mit weißer Tinte den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund von Create a Smile aufgestempelt und dann auch hier auf die Ränder schwarze Paste aufgetragen.
Aus Vellum habe ich dann noch das kleinste der Stitched Scallops von TheGreetery ausgestanzt und alle drei Label aufeinander geklebt.
Die Initialen des Brautpaares habe ich dann aus schwarzem Spiegelcardstock und salbeigrünem normalem Cardstock gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt. Verwendet habe ich dafür das Impact Alphabet von MFT. Dazwischen habe ich dann ein Ampersand, gemacht mit einer Stanze von SU aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock, gesetzt. Quer über alles kam dann ein kleines weißes Label, auf das ich mit Stempeln von Kulricke schwarz "zur Hochzeit" aufgestempelt habe.
Als Deko für das silberne Label habe ich noch aus grünem Cardstock Girlanden mit der Christmas Garland Stanze von LawnFawn ausgestanzt und kleine Blümchen von Magnolia, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. Zwei der Blümchen zieren auch die Buchstaben in der Kartenmitte. Auf die Girlande am unteren Rand des Labels habe ich ein Herz aus schwarzem Spiegelcardstock aufgeklebt. Und in als Blumenmitten habe ich kleine silberne Perlen verwendet.
From silver mirror cardstock I die cut one of the Elegant Rectangle Stax by MFT and cut the next smaller size from black cardstock.
Onto the black label I stamped the Freude und Jubel background by Create a Smile using white pigment ink, then again dabbed black paste onto the edges.
From vellum I cut the smallest of the Stitched Scallops by TheGreetery and glued all three labels onto each other.
I die cut the initials of the bride and groom from sage colored cardstock and black mirror cardstock and stacked them. I used the Impact Alphabet by MFT for these. Between the two letters I put an Ampersand, cut from silver mirror cardstock using a die by SU. Across all three letters I glued a white strip of cardstock that I stamped on a "for your wedding" with black ink.
As decoration for the silver label I cut some garlands from sage cardstock using the Christmas Garland die set by LawnFawn, then put small white flowers, made with dies by Magnolia, onto them. I also added two flowers to the letters in the center of the card. Onto the garland at the bottom of the label I glued a heart, cut from black mirror cardstock. And as flower centers I used small silver pearls.
Hier kann man das Herz aus schwarzem Spiegelcarsdstock besser sehen. Es ist gar nicht so einfach, das zu fotografieren, noch dazu mit dem Glanz des silbernen Spiegelcardstocks.
Unter die Label habe ich dann noch einen weißen Cardstockstreifen aufgeklebt, auf den ich einen Glückwunschtext, wieder aus dem Stempelset von Kulricke, schwarz aufgestempelt habe.
Here you can see the black mirror cardstock heart a bit better. It really is hard to take pictures of that, even harder with the shine of the silver mirror cardstock.
Under the labels I adhered a strip of white cardstock, that I stamped a greeting onto using black ink.
Das Vellum-Label mit den Buchstaben und das silberne Label habe ich jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Hinter den Textstreifen am unteren Ende der Karte habe ich dickes 3D Tape gesetzt. Außerdem habe ich auf dem folierten Hintergrund noch einige weitere silberne Perlen als Deko aufgeklebt.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
I backed the vellum label with the letters and the silver label with thin foam tape, the text strip at the bottom of the card I adhered with thick foam tape.
I also added some more silver pearls as decoration to the foiled background.
Then I glued the card panel onto a white note card.
