back from vacation - and back to school

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ja, ich bin endlich aus den Ferien zurück! Und ich möchte meine "Sommerpause" mit meinem Werk für den Whiff Of Joy Tutorialblog beenden. Wie schon der Posttitel sagt - zurück aus den Ferien und zurück zur Schule. Naja, 2 Wochen haben wir noch, aber die gehen so schnell rum...

Hello dear ones!

Yes, I am finally back from our summer vacation! And I want to end my summer break with this Box I made for my post today over at the Whiff Of Joy Inspiration blog. Like the title of this post says - back from vacation and back to school. Okay, we have another 2 weeks left but well, I know they will go over way too fast...

Vor etwa einem Monat habe ich mir die Cameo gegönnt, und dies ist eines meiner ersten Projekte damit. Die Schneidevorlage ist von SVGCuts.com - aber es gibt im Netz auch freie Anleitungen, wie Ihr eine ähnliche Box machen könnt. 

Die hier verwendeten Stempel sind von Whiff Of Joy - "Ich liebe die Schule" und der Text von "Pünktlich zum Unterricht".

Und coloriert habe ich mit meinen neuen Distress Markern - die nach 3,5 Monaten endlich von den USA nach Deutschland gefunden haben. Ich muss noch etwas üben, aber ich bin hin und weg!

About one month ago I bought myself a Cameo and this is one of my first projects using it. The cutting fiile is by SVGCuts.com - but out there in blogland there are free tutorials for how to make a similar box.

The stamps used are by Whiff Of Joy - "I love school" and the saying from "In Time For Class".

Coloring has been done using my new Distress Marker - after 3,5 months they finally found their way from the States to Germany. I still have to practice, but I love to use them!

Wunderschönen Samstag!
Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge für Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins - und dann gehen wir erstmal in einen wohlverdienten Urlaub. Weiter geht es dann erst mit der August-Challenge, die dann ein klein wenig verspätet am 1. September starten wird.
Aber hier erstmal unser neuer Sketch:

Today we at Stempeleinmaleins have a new challenge up for you - and then we will have a little summer break. We will go on with our august challenge that will start a little delayed on september 1st.
But here is our new sketch:

In der Arbeit meines Mannes brauchten sie eine Baby-Karte. Klar, dass es eine Mädchen-Karte sein mußte, wo ich doch lauter Jungskarten hier auf Vorrat habe. ;)
Ich habe hier das süße Motiv Sweet Dreams von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet.
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia, die Buchstaben-Perlen und die Body-Stanze von Whiff Of Joy. Und auch etwas Glitzer durfte nicht fehlen.

At my husband's work they needed a baby card. Of course it had to be a girly one - since I have tons of boys ones laying around. ;)
I used the cute image Sweet Dreams by Belles'n'Whistles.
Papers are by Magnolia, letter pearls and onesie die are by Whiff Of Joy. And of course I had to add a bit of glitter as well.

Diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr diese Blumen-Easel-Card machen könnt.

Hello and welcome to a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins!

This week we are going to show you how to make such a flower-easel-card.

 Mit meiner Karte darf ich Euch auch eine Vorschau auf eines der Motive geben, das im Herbst-Stempelkit von Whiff Of Joy enthalten sein wird. Das Kit könnt Ihr jetzt vorbestellen, der Inhalt ist, bis auf zwei Vorschaumotive, geheim. Aber da es nicht sicher ist, ob es die Stempel einzeln geben wird und Ihr außerdem im Vergleich zum Einzelkauf richtig Geld sparen könnt, lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall! Auch der Schriftzug "cheers to love, life and happiness" wird im Set enthalten sein.

With this card I can also give you a sneak peak of one of the images that will come with the secret stamp kit by Whiff Of Joy. The kit can now be pre-ordered, the content is secret except those two images the DT is sharing with you at the moment. But since it isn't sure that those images will be available as single stamps and since you really save a lot of money compared to the prize of those single stamps ordering your set is really worth it! 

Also the text "cheers to love, life and happiness" will be included in the set.

In die Mitte der Blumen habe ich einen runden Text mit einem Knopf in Herz-Form gesetzt, außerdem habe ich neben die Blüten noch zwei Blätter gegeben. Der Textstreifen ist unter der kleinsten Blüte befestigt.

I put a round text and a heartshaped button in the middle of the smallest flower, I also added some leaves next to the flower. The strip with the text is put under the smallest flower.

Time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins - and this week we have a tutorial for this swing card. I know, when you usually google swing card you get  a different one than this but well, how to name it? LOL With this technique you can let your whole image or just a part of it swing/rock.

Auf den nächsten beiden Bildern könnt Ihr den Effekt prima sehen - und wenn Ihr schnell zwischen den beiden Motiven in Großansicht hin- und herschaltet, dann schaukelt das Mädchen wirklich.

On the next two pictures you can see the effect of this card - and if you click on the picture, you get the full view. Now you can switch between the two cards and if you do it fast enough the little girl on her horse really rocks.

Nora mit Frühlingsvögelchen heißt der Stempel, den ich hier verwendet habe. Er gehört nicht mir, sondern eine meiner Töchter hatte ihn sich auf dem Stempel-Mekka gekauft. Aber ich mußte ihn einfach mal ausleihen...
Und auch der Text/die Banner sind von Whiff of Joy: Banner Texte. Ich finde die prima, denn sie passen irgendwie immer.

Nora with Singbirds is the name of this stamps. It's not mine - one of my daughter bought it at a stamp fair but I just had to borrow it...

Letztes Wochenende hatten wir Basteltreffen und ich durfte die Distress Marker von Helga ausprobieren. Ich war sehr skeptisch, denn mit Distress Inks, egal ob Kissen oder Reinker, komme ich ja so überhaupt nicht zurecht. Naja, um es kurz zu machen - das Set ist bestellt... Ich möchte meinen Copics nicht untreu werden, aber so zur Abwechslung zwischendrin sind die Stifte bestimmt prima und mit dem Ergebnis bin ich auch zufrieden. Fürs erste Mal...
Die Tilda ist einer der zwei neuen Specials: Bright Tilda. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

Last weekend we had a get together of some crafters and there I was able to test Helga's Distress Markers. I didn't expect too much since I so can not work with Distress Inks, no matter if it's the ink pads or the reinkers. But well - after trying them I had to order that set... Not that I want to stop using my Copics but just for a change every now and then those markers for sure are great. And I am quite pleased with the result - I mean, it was my first attempt...
This Tilda is one of the two new special stamps: Bright Tilda, saying is by Stampin'Up.

Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy und wir möchten eine Runde Bingo mit Euch spielen.

Ich habe mich für die untere Reihe entschieden: Blumen, Pins und Spitze.
Und auf meiner Karte darf ich Euch eine Vorschau auf eines der neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben, die es ab 28. April im Shop zu bestellen geben wird. Es ist aus der neuen Sympathy Stamp Collection von Elisabeth Bell und heißt "Geteilter Schmerz". Auch wenn es eine Trauer-Kollektion ist - ich finde das Motiv toll für jede Gelegenheit, zu der man jemanden Aufheitern möchte.
Der passende Text ist von Stampin'Up. Es wird von Whiff Of Joy auch eine Stempelkollektion, in deutsch und auch in englisch, mit passenden Texten geben, die habe ich aber noch nicht bekommen und somit habe ich auf diesen Text zurückgegriffen.

And on my card I am giving you a preview of one of the new images that will be available at the Whiff Of Joy store from april 28th. It's from the new Sympathy Stamp Collection by Elisabeth Bell and is called "Sharing In Your Sorrow". Even if this is a sympathy collection, this image can be used on any card you want to give someone to cheer him up.
The saying I used is by Stampin Up. There will be a stamp set, in german and in english, with sympathy sayings from Whiff Of Joy as well but I didn't get mine yet and so I went with this text.

Auch wenn Feiertag ist - bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity gibt es natürlich trotzdem eine neue Challenge. "Schmetterlinge" lautet unser neues Thema.

Even if today's another holiday here in Germany - we at Stamps&Fun=Creativity have a new challenge up for you as every monday. "Butterflies" is our new theme.

Kommt Euch meine Karte irgendwie bekannt vor? Ja, ich habe nochmal den Sketch von The Sketchy Challenge verwendet und auch nochmal das süße Motiv von Kirsta Smith/Saturated Canary. Aber die Farben sind anders, und schon wirkt auch die ganze Karte anders. Aber so ist es perfekt für meine Zwillinge, nicht gleich, aber auch nicht zu unterschiedlich... Und es war schon immer so - Natascha hatte "das Rote", egal was, und Pia "das Blaue". Darum habe ich auf Pia's Karte mehr blau, hier darfür zusätzlich rot verwendet. Und die Haarfarbe meines Motives habe ich den Haaren meiner Mädels angepaßt.
Schmetterlinge findet Ihr auf dem Papier von Magnolia im Hintergrund und auch links neben dem Motiv flattert einer.

Does this card look kind of familar to you? Yes, I used our Sketch from The Sketchy Challenge again and also the cute image by Krista Smith/Saturated Canary. But I changed the colors - and this makes the whole card look different. But it's perfect for my twins - kind of the same but still different. And since Natascha always got the "red stuff" - no matter what - and Pia the blue one I used more of the blues on Pia's card and added some red to Natascha's. I also made the hair coloration match my girls.
Butterflies can be found on the background paper by Magnolia and there is one fluttering on the left of the image.

Sonnigen letzten Wintertag, Ihr Lieben! Morgen ist es endlich soweit, der Frühling ist da! Passend dazu gibt es heute schon eine "sonnige" Karte...

Sunny last day of winter everyone! Tomorrow spring will finally be here - and I am already sharing a sunny card with you today...

Letzte Woche drehte sich auf dem Sugar Nellie Blog ja alles um Ribonita - diese Woche ist nun Sherbet Pips dran. Jeden Tag gibt es eine neue Karte, mit einem neuen Sherbet Pips Motiv.

Last week it was all about Ribonita, this week we at the Sugar Nellie blog are sharing a new Sherbet Pips card everyday.

 Chicky Pips ist der Name dieses süßen Motives.

Als ich meine Karte gemacht habe, schien die Sonne durch das Fenster. Und so habe ich das gelb der Sonne und das blau des Himmels hier auf meiner Karte aufgegriffen. Das gepunktete gelbe Ei ist mit der Hand ausgeschnitten und die Federn dahinter schienen mit gut zum Thema zu passen. Das Holzlatten-Design auf dem Hintergrundpapier erinnert mich an einen Hühnerstall und zusätzlich habe ich noch eine Bast-Schleife auf die Karte gesetzt, sozusagen als "Heu".
Bei manchen Motiven mag ich lieber ein klares Design, trotzdem sollte die Karte nicht zu nackt wirken. Ich habe daher die Papiere mit der Nähmaschine aufgenäht - das füllt optisch ohne dabei überladen zu wirken.

When I made this card the sun was shining through my window. And so I picked up the sun and the blue sky colorwise. The dotted egg is hand cut and the feathers seemed to be the perfect add with the easter theme. The wooden blankeket design on the background paper reminds me of a chicken scoop and so I also used some raffia to add a bow - it reminds me of hay...
There are images that I like to be used on more clean cards but I also didn't like my card to look naked so I used my sewing machine on the papers - it adds to the card without overloading it.

Nun aber zu meiner Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Dort hält der Frühling Einzug...

But now on to our new challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Spring is in the air...

Ich habe hier eines der süßen Motive von Mo Manning verwendet. Zuerst hatte ich ein wenig Bedenken, dass die Farbe des Kleides und die Haut zu ähnlich sind und das Ganze komisch wirken würde, aber ich bin doch ganz zufrieden mit der Farbkombi. Auf jeden Fall frühlingshaft.

I used one of the cute images by Mo Manning here. First I was a bit afraid that the dress and skin colors were too close and so the colored image would look strange but I am quite pleased with the outcome of the colors here. At least they are screaming spring.

Hallo und willkommen an diesem ganz besonderen Tag!

Nur alle 4 Jahre gibt es einen 29. Februar - und wenn der dann auch noch auf einen Mittwoch fällt, dann müssen wir bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges dieses Thema einfach aufgreifen. Darum ist die Überschrift unserer neuen Challenge "LEAP"- englisch für Schaltjahr. Von diesem Wort haben wir die Buchstaben genommen und ein Thema daraus gebastelt:

There is a 29th of february only every 4 years - and if it also is a wednesday then we at Whiff Of Joy Challenges have to pick up the theme. So the title of our new challenge is "LEAP". We took the letters and made a very special theme for you:

L = lace/Spitze

E = easelcard

A = animals/Tiere

P = pink

Zugegeben, ziemlich hohe Anforderungen aber wir hoffen, Ihr macht mit!

We know, these are very specific things we ask for but we hope you'll join us!

Ich habe für meine Easelcard "Sei mein Freund" aus der neuen Frühlingskollektion verwendet. Außerdem habe ich mit dem Frühlingsbaum im Hintergrund und dem Herbstgras eine kleine Szene gestaltet. Das Gras/die Blumen im Inneren der Karte können aufgeklappt werden und so entsteht eine 3dimensionale Wirkung.

Die Form der Karte ist mit einem Punch Around The Page Stanzer von Martha Stewart gemacht, der Text ist von Catslife Press.

For my easelcard I used "Sei mein Freund (bee my friend)" from the newest spring collection. I also used the spring tree in the background and the autumn grass to create a little scene. The grass/the flowers on the inside of the card can be put up and so you get a 3D look.

The shape of the card was made using a Punch Around The Page punch by Martha Stewart, the saying is by Catslife Press.

Ich habe Cupid Henry verwendet und ein wenig geschummelt, denn zumindest die Backen sind hellrot/rosa geworden... Auch den Rest meiner Karte habe ich schwarz-weiß gehalten und nur mit rosafarbenen Röschen und dem Herz etwas Farbe ins Spiel gebracht.

Snow Fight heißt der Stempel, für den ich mich entschieden habe. Und für den frostigen Look habe ich natürlich viel weiß und eisblau verwendet. Und eine hellblaue Feder hat sich auch mit auf die Karte geschlichen.

Snow Fight is the name of this stamp that I used. For the frosty look I used a lot of white and ice blue. And there's also a light blue feather that I put on the card.

Nur noch 5 Tage bis Weihnachten - und ich brauchte eine Pause. Da kam es mir ganz gelegen, daß eine Freundin, deren Vater gerade ins Krankenhaus mußte, mich um eine persönliche Karte gebeten hatte. So habe ich diese Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity gearbeitet. "Lieblingskartenmateriel" ist unser neues Thema und Ihr könnt alles verwenden, was eine Karte für Euch unbedingt haben muss.

Only 5 days til christmas - and I needed a break. So it was right in time that a friend who's father has just been brought into the hospital, asked me to make a personal card for the hospital crew. So I made this card for our new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. "Favourite material on cards" is our new theme and so you can use whatever you think a card has to have.

Die Tilda ist zwar aus der Weihnachtskollektion, kann aber wunderbar für alle Anlässe verwendet werden. Der Text ist mit dem Computer geschrieben.
