Jeden Monat geben wir ein Thema vor und jeder aus dem DT werkelt, was ihm dazu einfällt.

Das Juni-Thema ist "side step card".

Another month has passed and so it's time for the monthly project over at the Whiff Of Joy World of Ideas Blog.

Every month we pick a new theme and each of the DT members creates whatever comes to his mind about it.

Our June theme is "side step card".

Ich habe eine Babykarte gemacht:

I made a baby card:

Ich habe schon einige solcher "Kommodenkarten" im Netz gesehen und wollte die unbedingt selbst ausprobieren.

Dafür habe ich diesen süßen Willow Stempel verwendet, der Bär ist aus dem Maya Stempel "I will take care of you" - darum schaut er auch etwas bedröppelt.

Außerdem habe ich einen der Texte aus dem Set "Kleiner Sonnenschein" sowie die Baby-Body-Stanze aus dem Set "Süßer Fratz" verwendet. 

I've seen quite a few of these type of cards and just had to try one myself.

I used this older Willow stamp, the bear is cut out from the Maya image "I will take care of you" - that's also why he looks a bit sad.

I also used one of the round text of the german text set "Kleiner Sonnenschein" and the baby onesie die from the "Bundle of Joy" die set.

It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under - and this week Debbie picked the theme. She choose "sepia colored image"....

 Ich habe mein Motiv mit Distress Inks coloriert und auch den Rest meiner Karte in Brauntönen gehalten. Die Ränder habe ich teilweise gewischt, teilweise mit Crackle Paint überzogen. Und so ist die Karte entstanden.

I colored my image with Distress Inks and also went with browns for the rest of the card. I inked up some of the papers, some have been covered with Crackle Paint. And this is how this card was made.

Das Tutorial diese Woche stammt von mir und ich möchte Euch zeigen, wie Ihr diese kleine Box werkeln könnt.

It's time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins!

This week's tutorial is written by me and I am going to show how to make this little box.

Die Box ist nicht sonderlich groß, darum habe ich zum Dekorieren eine Mini-Magnolia verwendet.

Natürlich bekam auch der Rücken etwas Deko...

This box is quite small and so I used a Mini Magnolia to decorate it.

And of course also the side got some decoration...

Das Besondere an der Box sieht man, wenn man sie öffnet. Sie hat keinen normalen Deckel, sondern eine zweite Schachtel innen eingearbeitet und vorne befindet sich eine kleine Öffnung, aus der man den Inhalt entnehmen kann.

You can see what's special about this box once you opened it. It has no normal lid but inside there is a second box included. This has a little opening to take out the content.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge # 157

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

2 Wochen sind vergangen und somit gibt es ab heute eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy!

Diesmal lautet unser Thema "Babykarte".

Hello everyone!

Another 2 weeks have passed and so there is a new challenge starting today over at  Whiff Of Joy!

Our theme for this fortnight is "card for a baby".

Ich habe mal wieder eine Baby-Body-Karte gemacht, diesmal für ein Mädchen.

Das Motiv auf dem Body war mal ein Spezial-Stempel von Whiff Of Joy, den es nur im Zusammenhang mit einer Bestellung gab. Aber ich finde ihn mit dem süßen Motiv und dem Text "created with love and care" einfach wunderbar für eine Babykarte.

Dem Mond habe ich nur rote Bäckchen gegeben und ihn mit Stickles überzogen, ebenso die Sterne. Den Hintergrund um den Stempel habe ich mit einem farblich zum Designpapier passenden Buntstift leicht angemalt.

"Geschlossen" ist der Body mit einer Sicherheitsnadel aus dem Stanzenset "Süßer Fratz".

I made a baby onesie card once again, this time for a girl.

The image on the body was a special stamp by Whiff Of Joy that was only available as a gift with your order.  But I think this image together with the saying "created with love and care" is just too perfect for a baby card!

I gave the moon some red cheeks and covered him with Stickles, so did I with the stars. The background around the moon has only been colored lightly with a pencil, that matches the color of my designer's paper.

The onesie is "closed" with a safety pin, one of the 3 dies coming with the "Bundle of Joy" pack of dies.

This week we have Nicolchen joining us as a guest designer and she's showing how to make her favourite box.

Beim ersten Durchlesen der Anleitung dachte ich, dass die Box wohl eher klein wird, aber dann habe ich doch gestaunt, wie groß sie ist. Und wieviel da reinpaßt!

When I first read her tutorial I thought the box would be kind of small but then I was very surprised how big it turned out. And how much you can fit in there!

Meine Box habe ich mit einem Motiv von Mo Manning dekoriert. Der kleine Marienkäfer ist aber auch zu süß! Passend dazu schweben dann noch ein paar Wölkchen herum - und Spitze und Zierdeckchen durften nicht fehlen. Der Text ist von SU.

It's such a great image, full of happiness and joy of life - and a dream to color in. And "you are fabulous" is also the saying that comes with this stamp, this one and 3 others! ;)

Ich habe vor kurzem von einer lieben Freundin einen Gutschein für meinen Lieblings-Coffee-Shop bekommen. Und der war in so einem Tumbler verpackt. Die Idee habe ich aufgegriffen und eine Banderole für einen Tumbler gebastelt. Der ist dann mit Strohhalm und Kaffeebohnen gefüllt und darin steckt der Gutschein...

Some time ago a dear friend gave mit a giftcard for my favourite Coffee Shop. And this was put in such a tumbler. I loved that idea and copied it for today's project, adding a wrapper for the tumbler. This is filled with a straw and some coffee beans and of course the giftcard....

Die Banderole habe ich aus weißem Cardstock geschnitten, mit blauen Punkten bestempelt und dann das süße Herz mit Pfeil noch darauf verteilt. Dieses Herz und der Text sind ebenfalls im brandneuen deutschen Textset enthalten.

Und der schmale Pfeil stammt aus dem Die-Lights Set "Pfeile". 

I made my wrapper from white cardstock, stamped blue dots allover and then added the heart with arrow several times. This heart and the saying come also in the brand new german sentiments set.

And that thin arrow is another one from the new Die-Lights set.

Whiff Of Joy Sneak Peak 2

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute darf ich Euch eine Vorschau auf ein weiteres der süßen neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben, die ab morgen erhältlich sein werden.

Hello everyone!

Today I am able to give you another sneak at one of the cute new images by Whiff Of Joy that will be available tomorrow.

Neben den tollen neuen Manga-Motiven und Henry ist auch Maya wieder mit von der Partie. Und dieses Motiv heißt "Call me maybe" - und zusammen mit dem Motiv kommt auch der tolle Spruch mit.

Beside the new and great Manga images and Henry there's also Maya included in this new release. This image is called "Call Me Maybe" - and the saying comes together with the image.

Ich finde dieses Motiv einfach grandios - auch wegen dem so schön nostalgischen Telefon... ;) And die Telefone mit Wählscheibe kann ich mich noch so gut erinnern!

I love this image - also because of the great vintage looking phone... ;) I so remember these! LOL

Das Telefon auf der Vorderseite meines Umschlags habe ich mit einem der neuen Dies ausgestanzt, die es auch ab morgen geben wird. Und die Pfeile sind mit im Textset, aus dem ich Euch bereits am Samstag eine Vorschau gegeben habe.

The die cut phone on the front of my envelope is cut out using one of the new dies that will be available tomorrow as well. And the arrows come in the german sentiment set, that I have been showing a part of on saturday already.

Wie gesagt, habe ich einen Umschlag gestaltet.

Und so sieht die Rückseite aus:

Und, entdeckt Ihr die nächste Neuheit? Es ist der Pfeil - ebenfalls eine Stanzschablone, in der neben diesem Pfeil noch viele weitere in verschiedenen Formen enthalten sind.

So, do you see the next new item? It's the arrow - coming in another new set of cutting dies that contains this one and also lots of other arrows.

Meinen Umschlag habe ich übrigens aus cremefarbenen Cardstock geschnitten, mit einem Freundschafts-Textstempel sowie dem Canvas Background, beide von SU, bestempelt.

I cut out the envelope from cream cardstock and used a friendship text and a canvas background stamp, both from SU, to decorate it.

Früher gab es ja die Karten im Scheckkartenformat, auf denen man den Aufladecode für sein Handy freirubbeln mußte. Heute bekommt man ja nur noch einen ausgedruckten Kassenbon mit dem Code... Also habe ich diesen auf einen Streifen Cardstock geklebt, mit einem Tab versehen und so paßt er wunderbar in den Umschlag. Und SO läßt er sich dann auch guten Gewissens verschenken - passend zum Motiv!

Some years ago there were those gift card like cards that you had to scrub and then you got the code to put money on your cellphone. Today you only get the printed paper from the cashier... So I glued this down on some cardstock, added a tab and now it fits wonderfully the envelope. And like THIS you can also give it to someone as a gift - matching the image on the front!

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 08. Juni 2013

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es ist mal wieder Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Und seit langem habe auch ich es wieder geschafft, die Anleitung nachzubasteln und einen Beitrag zu leisten. Die Bendi Fold Karte ist aber auch genial!

It's time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. And since a long time I finally made it to make my own card following the tutorial. That Bendi Fold Card is just too great!

Habt Ihr Euch gefragt, was das für ein tolles Motiv ist? Es ist eines der neuen von Whiff Of Joy, die wir Euch seit gestern in einer Vorschau zeigen und die es dann ab nächste Woche zu bestellen gibt. Die Haare zu colorieren war ein Traum!

Und auch der Spruch ist aus einem neuen Text Set von WoJ.

Did you wonder what's that great image? It's one of the new ones from Whiff Of Joy that we are pre-viewing since yesterday and that will be available next week. Coloring those hair was just too much fun!

And also the saying is from a new german text set by WoJ.

Wenn man die Karte öffnet, entsteht eine immer größere Szene. Hier habe ich die vorderste Lage zur Seite geklappt...

If you open the card you get a bigger scene each time. Here I opened up the first layer...

Und so sieht meine Szene dann komplett geöffnet aus. Leider habe ich nicht daran gedacht, dass das Motiv von hinten ja weiß ist, aber so schlimm ist das jetzt auch nicht, oder?

And this is my scene completly opened. Unfortunately I didn't think of the fact, that the back of the image will be white but it isn't that bad, right?

Mit den beiden Grüntönen habe ich das Gras mit Airbrush eingefärbt.

I used those two greens to airbrush the grass.

So, jetzt wünsche ich allen ein tolles Wochenende!

2 kleine Impressionen....

Hallo Ihr Lieben! 

Entschuldigt, dass es hier so ruhig ist.... ich arbeite daran!

Bei uns löst derzeit eine Baustelle die nächste ab, und für Basteln ist kaum Zeit noch Muse. Aber: ich bin gerade dabei, mein Bastelzimmer einzuräumen! Das habe ich eigentlich nur meinem Mann und meinen Kindern zu verdanken. Die haben nämlich als Muttertagsüberraschung alle Möbel in meinem Zimmer aufgestellt - als ich einen Tag Auszeit mit Freundinnen nahm, genau einen Tag vorher. Und so bin ich, zumindest basteltechnisch, auf dem Weg back to normal!

Aber vorerst zeige ich Euch nur kurz zwei Werke, die in den letzten Tagen entstanden sind:

Sorry for being that quiet at the moment... I am working on it!

We still start one renovation after the other and there is hardly time for crafting. But: I am working on putting all my stuff back into my craft room at the moment! This is just because my husband and my kids put up all the furniture in my new room the day before mother's day as a special surprise for me. Lucky me I was out with friends the day before. And so I am back to normal, at least craft wise!

But for today I am going to share two projects I made the last days:

Diesen Monat haben wir einen Notizblock verschönert...

The Project of the month of the Whiff Of Joy designteam has already been shared at the Whiff Of Joy World of Ideas Blog last weekend. Well, I was in Italy then... ;)

This month we altered a notebook...

Ich habe ein Smash Book, das mir die liebe Tanja geschenkt hat, verziert.

Es ist in einer Klarsicht-Hülle und daher etwas schlecht zu fotografieren, und so habe ich die Deko vorher noch ohne Buch fotografiert:

I decorated a Smash Book the dear Tanja sent me.

It's protected in a transparent cover and that made it hard to get a picture of it. So before glueing it down I took a picture of just the front:

Lazy Summer Days, das ist der Name dieses Motives. Und ich fand die Idee, in auf ein Notizbuch zu setzen, super. Dazu habe ich dann noch Schildchen wie "to do", "important", "don't forget" etc. ausgedruckt und drumherum verteilt. 

Da das Cover ja in die Hülle passen soll, war kein Platz für hohe Dekorationen. Also habe ich auf zwei Büroklammern und etwas Spitze zurückgegriffen. Und ein paar Klammern mit ins Cover getackert.

Lazy Summer Days is the name of this image. And I liked the idea of putting it on the front of a notebook. I also added some labels like "to do", "important", "don't forget" etc that I printed with my home printer.

I wanted the book to fit the acrylic cover and so there was no room for high embellishments. Instead I went with 2 pins and some lace.

Sie ist relativ simple ausgefallen, aber das süße Motiv spricht doch für sich, oder? Und je größer man es druckt, desto schöner kann man es colorieren, richtig?

The card turned out quite simple but that cute image is all you need for a cute card, right? And the bigger it is printed out, the nicer it can get colored in...

Baby Butterfly 2 ist der Name dieser Süßen, und sie ist brandneu von Mo Manning. Da konnte ich nicht widerstehen!

Baby Butterfly 2 is the name of this cutie and she's brand new by Mo Manning. I just couldn't resist!

Und weils so schön paßt, möchte ich mit der Karte auch an meiner ersten Challenge seit langem teilnehmen: Summer is coming auf dem DP2 Challenge Blog.

And because it really fits great I want to join my very first challenge since ages with this card: the Summer Is Comming challenge at the DP2 Challenge Blog.

Okay, ich bin dann mal wieder streichen, oder bohren, oder sägen, oder.... Bis bald!

Whiff Of Joy New Release Day

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute ist es soweit - es ist "New Release Day" bei Whiff Of Joy. Das heißt, ab heute gibt es neue Digi Stempel im Shop von Whiff Of Joy zu bestellen.

Today's the day - it's new release day at Whiff Of Joy. From today on there are new digi images up for ordering.

Wir haben Euch in den letzten Tagen ja schon so einige Vorschauen gegeben.

Und ich habe für heute ein Werk mit dem Stempel "I want 2 talk 2 you" gemacht.

Passend zum Motiv habe ich ein Büchlein verziert, in dem wichtige Telefonnummern immer griffbereit sind.

Hier ist eine Nahaufnahme des Motivs für Euch:

During the last days we already gave you a preview of the new images.

And for today I made a creation using "I want 2 talk 2 you".

Matching the image I made a little notebook where I can write down important phone numbers to have them at hand all the time.

Ist es nicht zu süß?

Isn't it too cute?

Ich habe das Digi wie immer auf Brunnen Universalpapier und meinem HP Laser Jet Printer gedruckt und anschließend mit Copics coloriert. Diese Kombination funktioniert super - kein Trocknen, kein Fixieren nötig.

As always I printed the digi on Brunnen Universalpapier and my HP Laser Jet printer and then colored it in with Copics. This combination works best for me - no drying or fixing needed.

Da ich mein Büchlein in meine Handtasche stecken möchte, habe ich auf sehr hohe Dekorationen verzichtet. Die wären in Null Komma Nix zerstört. 

Darum habe ich einen Streifen Cardstock mit Zahlen bestempelt, eine Metallecke und etwas Spitze sowie eine Blume als Verzierung genommen und alles in Kombination mit etwas Designpapier verwendet.

Since I want to put that notebook in my handbag I didn't use any thick embellishments. Those would be destroyed in just a few days.

So I stamped some numbers on a piece of cardstock, added a metal corner and some lace and a flower and combined it all with some designer's paper.

Nun, wir konnten Euch sicher einige Inspiration geben. Und da es sich ja um Digi-Motive handelt, könnt Ihr gleich im Whiff Of Joy Shop zuschlagen und sofort loslegen... Viel Spaß!

Whiff Of Joy Preview - Little Fisherman

Wir stecken nach wir vor mitten in der Umbauphase - und offenbar kann ich schon nur noch an Werkzeuge und -kästen denken. Denn für meine Vorschau auf eines der neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy habe ich eine "Tool Box" gewerkelt.

We are still in the middle of changing rooms and do some construction works - and it seems like all I can think of is tools and toll boxes. So for my preview of one of those amazing new images by Whiff Of Joy I made a tool box.

Da wird der kleine Fischer aber staunen, wenn er am See ankommt und im ein kleiner Hund an den Haken gegangen ist... Aber das kann ihm die gute Laune auf keinen Fall verderben, das sieht man auf den ersten Blick!

This little fisherman will be surprised when he arrives at the lake and finds out he has a little dog on.... But this won't bother him at all, that's what you can tell from the first look at him!

Da der Focus auf dem Motiv liegen soll, habe ich dieses vorne auf die Mitte gesetzt, hinterlegt mit einem Stück Fischernetz - auch bekannt als Zitronennetz :) 

Passend dazu habe ich einen Text mit dem Computer gedruckt, einen Fischcharm am Henkel angebracht und noch zwei Angelhaken aus Draht gebogen. Auch der Aufdruck ist mit dem PC geschrieben.

Since I wanted the image to be the focus I put it in the front middle and put some fish net - also known as lemon net - behind it :)

I printed a matching text with my computer, added a fish charm to the handle and also build two hooks from silver wire. Also the label on the box is computer generated.

So, hier geht es jetzt fleißig weiter! Habt einen tollen Tag!

Whiff Of Joy Challenge # 154

Schon wieder sind zwei Wochen vergangen und somit ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy. Diesmal möchten wir "anything but a card", also alles außer Karten sehen.

Another two weeks have passed and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy. This fortnight we are asking for "anything but a card".

Ich habe mal wieder meine Cameo bemüht - und eine weitere Schneiddatei von SVG Cuts verarbeitet. Der Cowboystiefel war wunderbar zu arbeiten und die "Kleberei" eigentlich einfach.

Once again I used my Cameo and cut another cutting file by SVG Cuts. This cowboy boot was great to work and glueing it together was way easier than I thought.

Paßt Henry als Cowboy nicht perfekt darauf? Das Digi bekommt Ihr im Whiff Of Joy Shop. 

Das tolle an Digis ist ja, dass man sie in der Größe an sein Projekt anpassen kann. Da ich meinen Stiefel etwas klein gearbeitet hatte, war ich wirklich froh, das Digi trotzdem passend drucken zu können. Und man glaubt kaum, dass es mit einer Breite von nur 5 cm gedruckt ist, oder? Das Colorieren war dann natürlich nicht mehr ganz so einfach... LOL

The great thing about digis is that you can match them in size to the project you want to use it on. Since I made this boot "a little" too small I was really happy to be able to print him in a size that he still fits on it. And if you look at the pic it's hard to believe that he is printed just 5 cm wide, right? Coloring was a little different then though... LOL

  Die Lederteile des Stiefels habe ich mit der Cuttlebug geprägt und anschließend mit Sandpapier bzw. Distress Ink bearbeitet, um die Prägung besser rauszubringen. 

Dekoriert habe ich dann noch mit einem "Lasso" und einem mit dem PC geschriebenen Text.

I embossed some parts of the boot and then did some sanding and inking with Distress Inks on them to make the embossing show up more.

For decoration I just added a "lasso" and a little saying printed with my Computer.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 194

Schönen guten Morgen!

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. "Buttons" würden wir diesmal gerne sehen, also Knöpfe. 

Very happy sunday morning!

Today there is a new challenge starting over at Magnolia Down Under. Buttons is our new theme - and what we want to see on your creations this week.

Ich habe eine Box gemacht - mal wieder unter Verwendung einer Schneiddatei von SVG Cuts. Oh, ich kann davon einfach nicht genug bekommen! Diesmal ist es eine Garnrolle geworden, und die paßt doch wie die Faust aufs Auge zum Thema, oder?

I made a box - once again using one of the cutting files by SVG Cuts. Oh, these are just amazing and I can't get enough of them! This time is a yarn roll and this is just perfect for the theme, right?

Ich habe die nähende Tilda auf einen Stuhl gesetzt und die Rolle damit vorne verziert.

I put the sewing Tilda on a chair and decorated the front of the roll with it.

Das Label habe ich mit dem Computer geschrieben und die Schrift "sew" mit kleinen Stichen umrahmt. 

Neben etwas Spitze habe ich hier auch noch einen Scheren-Charm und einen Holzknopf angebracht.

I printed the label with my home printer and put little stitches around the word "sew".

Beside some lace I also added a scissors charm and a wooden button on this side of Tilda.

Auf der anderen Seite habe ich zwei weitere Knöpfe, etwas Cheesecloth und zwei Pins untergebracht.

On the other side I added two more buttons, some cheesecloth and two pins.

Auch für die Oberseite der Garnrolle habe ich mit dem Computer ein Label gedruckt, schön vintage, und mit Distress Inks auf alt getrimmt. 

Also for the top of the roll I printed a label, looking quite vintage, and used Distress Inks to let it look old.

Und natürlich läßt sich die Rolle öffnen:

Sie ist noch nicht gefüllt, aber da fällt mir bestimmt auch noch etwas passendes ein...

It isn't filled yet but I know I fill find something matching...
