Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Meine Mom hat im Mai Geburtstag und früher habe ich ihr immer einen Flieder-Strauß geschenkt, als Kind oftmals von einem Baum auf dem Schulweg "geklaut". Wir haben wirklich Unmengen von Fliederbüschen in unserem Garten. Aber inzwischen blüht er so früh, bereits Ende April, so dass er bis zum Geburtstag verblüht ist. Trotzdem ist der Flieder immer noch eine Blume, die uns verbindet. Also habe ich diesmal eine Fliederblüte auf ihre Muttertagskarte gesetzt.

My mom's birthday is in may and back then I always made her a bouquet of lilacs - as a kid often "stolen" from a tree that I passed on my way to school. We really have tons of lilac bushes in our garden. But it blooms so much earlier than it used to - this year it was end of april - so there's no left on her birthday. Still lilacs are a flower we both have  a soft spot for. So this year I put some lilacs on her mother's day card.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mich farblich am Schmetterling auf dem Motiv orientiert und ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Fired Brick und Aged Mahogany gewischt. Dann habe ich erst einige Wassertropfen und später gelb-goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem Strahlenstencil und weißer Pigment Tinte ganz softe, hellere Strahlen auf den Hintergrund gewischt. Die Mitte der Strahlen befindet sich dabei hinter dem O des Wortes Mom.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann das Gittermuster, das mich ein wenig an ein Rankgitter erinnert, ausgestanzt. Die Stanze  stammt aus einem kompletten Set, das verschiedene Lagen stanzt, die dann kombiniert werden können. Ich war mich nicht sicher, ob ich eine weitere Lage mit versetzten Linien wollte, das war mir aber zu viel. Da ich das Teil aber bereits gestanzt hatte, habe ich aus diesem Stanzteil die Mitte herausgeschnitten und nur den gestitchten Rand oben auf das andere aufgeklebt.

 

For the background I went with the colors I had used for the butterfly and inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Scattered Sraw, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany. Then I added some water droplets on top and later also splatters of yellow-gold metallic watercolor. I also used a rays stencil and white pigment ink to add some subtle lighter rays to the background. The center of the rays is behind the letter o of the word mom.

From white cardstock I die cut a lattice frame, that reminded me of a trellis. The die is part of a set that creates different layers, that can be combined. I wasn't sure if I wanted to add another layers with offset lines, but that just felt like too much. Since I had already die cut said frame I cut out the center and only used the stitched frame on top of the other die cut. 

Das tolle Fliedermotiv samt Schmetterling ist von WhimsyStamps und heißt Lilacs and Butterfly. Ich habe es mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Da der Schmetterling etwas untergegangen ist - ich müsste unbedingt mal mein schwarzes Stempelkissen nachfüllen - habe ich die Linien mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. So sticht der Schmetterling auf jeden Fall hervor.

Der Text neben dem Motiv ist aus einem Stempelset von SU und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

The great lilac images with the butterfly is by WhimsyStamps and is called Lilacs and Butterfly. I colored  it with Copics and cut it out with my scissors. Since the butterfly got a bit lost - I really have to re-ink my black ink pad - I used a black Glaze Pen to trace the stamped lines. This really makes the butterfly pop.

The text next to the image means "I am so lucky to have you"  and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. 

Den Text meiner Karte habe ich oben über dem Motiv aufgeklebt. Er besteht aus einem aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztem Wort Danke - gemacht  mit einer Stanze von Kulricke - und einem ausgestanzten Wort Mom, für das ich eine Stanze von MFT benutzt habe. Das Wort Mom besteht aus zwei Lagen schwarzem Cardstock und obenauf, etwas versetzt, einer Lage aus matte-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock.

 

I placed the text above the image onto my card. It's made  from a die cut word thanks, cut from black cardstock, and a die cut word mom, that I used a die by MFT for. The word mom is made from two layers of black cardstock and on top, a bit offset, a layer cut from matte gold metallic cardstock.

 

 Die Elemente der Karte sind natürlich mit 3D Tape zusammengesetzt. Den Stiel des Flieders habe ich hinter den Rand des Gitterrahmens gesteckt und das 3D Tape hinter dem Flieder aufgedoppelt, so dass die Blüte - neben dem embossten Text - das höchtes Element der Karte ist.

Auf die Blütenmitten des Flieders habe ich kleine Tropfen Glossy Accents aufgetragen, den Schmetterling habe ich mit Stickles beglittert.

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine weißer Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course I used foam tape to put the elements of this card together. I tucked the stem of the lilacs behind the trellis frame and doubled up the foam tape behind the lilac so this - and the embossed text - are now the most raised pieces on the card.

I added small drops of Glossy Accents to the flower  centers and used Stickles to glitter up the butterfly. 

As decoration I scattered some white clay hearts over the card, then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Eine Hochzeitskarte

Der Mai ist da - und das merkt man auch daran, dass die Hochzeitssaison wieder losgeht. Und so zeige ich Euch heute eine Hochzeitskarte.

May is here - and you can also tell that from the fact, that wedding season is back. And so I am sharing a wedding card with you today. 

 

Diese Karte ist in ganz soften Tönen gehalten. Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, in den ich mit der Dotted Starburst Debossing Cover Stanze von Altenew  ein Muster eingeprägt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann eine der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile gestanzt und aufgeklebt.

 

I kept the card in very soft colors. The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock, that I cut the Dotted Starburst Debossing Cover by Altenew into. Then I added splatters of white acrylic paint.

From white cardstock I cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile and glued it on top.

 

 Hauptelement auf der Karte sind die Namen des Brautpaares, die ich jeweils aus drei Lagen zusammengesetzt habe. Die oberste Lage besteht aus weißem Perlmutt-Cardstock, dahinter eine Lage normalen weißen Cardstocks und dahinter, leicht versetzt, eine Lage hellgrauen Cardstocks.

Die Buchstaben sinnd mit Stanzen von SU und Craft Emotions gemacht. Auf die Buchstaben habe ich Higlights mit einem klaren Glitzerstift aufgemalt.

Die Grußtexte sind von Kulricke und jeweils weiß auf hellgrauen Cardstock embosst. Das Datum habe ich mit einem Dymo und silberfarbenem Band gemacht, das passte ganz gut dazu.

Als Deko habe ich dann winzige blaue Blümchen, teilweise mit hellgrünen Blättern hinterlegt, und silberne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt. 

Main element on my card are the names of the bride and groom, that I created each frrom three layers. There's a layer cut from white pearlescent cardstock, behind it a layer cut from regular white cardstock and behind that a layer of light grey cardstock, adhered a bit offset. 

I used dies by SU and CraftEmotions to cut the letters, then I added highlights with a clear glitter gel pen.

The texts are white heat embossed onto light grey cardstock. I used my Dymo and silver tape to create the date, it fits pretty well to the grey cardstock strips.

As decoration I added tiny blue flowers, partly with light green leaves, and silver pearls.

 

 Die Textstreifen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterelgt, die Namen sind ja durch die drei Lagen bereits etwas erhöht.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thin foam tape behind the text strips, the names are already raised a bit due to the three layers I created them from.

As a last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

2 Gutschein-/Geldgeschenk-Verpackungen

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Eine meiner Töchter zieht Ende des Monats um und hat sich um Geburtstags Geld bzw. Möbelhaus-Gutscheine gewünscht. Da ich auch das Geldgeschenk meiner Mutter überreicht habe, habe ich zwei Verpackungen gemacht. Die sind beide mit dem  Box in Scheckkartengröße-Set von Farbton gemacht.

One of my daughters is moving end of the month and for her birthday she asked for money and/or gift cards for a swedish furniture store. I also had to give her the birthday money from my mom so I made two packages to put the money and giftcard into. Both boxes are made using a die set by Farbton.

 

 Die erste Verpackung habe ich aus blauem Cardstock mit Leinen-Muster gestanzt.

In die Box kann man ein Fenster stanzen und einen zurückversetzten Boden einsetzen - den habe ich aus hell-türkis farbenem Cardstock gemacht und außerdem etwas ausgestanztes Gras eingeklebt.

Aus dem Fenster wächst dann eine Pusteblume. Sie ist mit der Make a  Wish Stanze von  Sizzix aus weißem Cardstock gemacht, dann habe ich sie mit Copics coloriert. Als Deko habe ich eine Schleife aus weißem Twine an den Stiel gebunden und außerdem ein kleines weißes Herz auf die Blumenmitte geklebt. 

Im Boxenstanzenset sind außerdem verschiedene Texte, die genau in das Fenster passen, enthalten. Zur Pusteblume fand ich "wünsch Dir was" ganz passend. Der Text ist aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt.

 

The first box I made from blue cardstock with a linnen pattern.

You can die cut a window into the front of the box and put a kind of box behind it - that I cut from light aqua cardstock. I also glued a strip of die cut grass into it. 

There's a dandelion growing out of the window of my box. I made it from white cardstock using the Make a Wish die by Sizzix, then colored it with Copics. I added a bow made from white twine to the stem and also glued a small white clay heart onto the flower head. 

In the box die set there are also several texts, that fit exactly into the window. I liked "make a wish" in combination with the dandelion. The text I cut from white cardstock.

 

 Das Gras im Fenster habe ich mit 3D Tape auf die zurückversetzte Box geklebt und auch die Mitte der Pusteblume ist mit 3D Tape hinterlegt.

 

I glued the grass with foam tape onto the box behind the window and also put tape behind the center of the dandelion.

 

 Die zweite Box habe ich aus altrosa-farbenem Cardstock, ebenfalls mit dem Leinenmuster, gemacht.

Die Box hinter dem Fenster ist diesmal aus hellgrünem Designpapier mit Sternchendruck gemacht. Als Text habe ich mich für  ein "Für Dich" entschieden und ihn jeweils einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock und einmal aus silberfarbenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt.

Und für die Deko habe ich mich hier für Geburtstagskerzen entschieden. Die sind aus dem Set Lovely Layers Cupcake and More von HoneyBeeStamps und aus grün-weiß gestreiftem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Flammen bestehen wider aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock.

The box behind the window I cut here from light green cardstock with small white stars. And for the text I went with "for you", cutting it once from black cardstock and once from silver mirror     cardstock. 

And as decoration I decided on candles here. Those are made using dies from Lovely Layers Cupcake and More by HoneyBeeStamps and green and white striped cardstock. The flames I cut from silver mirror cardstock.

 

 Die mittlere Kerze habe ich wieder mit einer Schleife aus weißem Twine dekoriert und auf der Box drei kleien weiße Sternchen verteilt.

 

I decorated the candle in the middle with a bow made from white twine again and glued three white clay stars as decoration onto the box.

 

CaS Weekend Challenge

Als ich am Sonntag letzter Woche den Post der Weekend-Challenge mit dem Thema Wasser gemacht habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich Euch die Karte der letzten Weekend-Challenge bisher vorenthalten habe. Vor einiger Zeit gab es eine Farbchallenge in frühlingshaften Pastellfarben und die Zusatzoption Ostern. Und das ist die Karte, die ich danach gewerkelt habe.  Die reiche ich nun hier verspätet nach.

When I made my post with the card for the water themed weekend challenge by Create a Smile I realize, that I never shared the card that I made for the last one. A while ago they did a weekend challenge providing a spring-ish color combo in pastels and the optional theme of easter. This is the card I made for it. And  I am sharing it with you (a bit) belated.

 

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock für den Hintergrund benutzt und mit blauer Tinte und einem Wolkenstencil eine große Wolke in die Mitte gewischt. Darunter befindet sich eine Lage Gras, gemacht ebenfalls mit einem Stencil und grüner Tinte. Die beiden Farben entsprechen den Tönen in der Farbvorgabe.

Quer auf das Gras habe ich dann viermal den Zaun aus dem Set Aus meinem Garten aufgeklebt, die Nahtstellen werden von den Motiven darauf verdeckt.

  

For the background I inked a large cloud onto the center of a piece of white cardstock using a cloud stencil and light blue ink. Under it I added a layer of grass, again using a stencil and green ink. The two colors are according to the tones in the color chart for the challenge.

Across the grass I put four oft he fences from Aus meinem Garten, the seams are covered by the images on top.

 

 

Die Hühner und Eier sind aus dem Set Kikeriki. Und hier fing mein Dilemma an - zuerst hatte ich einen der Hasen aus dem Set Hasenparade zwischen den Hühner sitzen. Vor die Hühner hatte ich hellgelbe Eier gesetzt, das Ei vor dem Hasen war natürlich bunt. Aber so sah es so aus, als würden die Hühner sich nicht über die Farbe des  Eis, sondern über den Hasen wundern. Also habe ich den Hasen entfernt und das bunte Ei vor eines der Hühner gestellt. Gedacht war es wie „nachts war der Osterhase da und hat eines der Eier ausgetauscht“. Aber wenn ich im Nachhinein darüber nachdenke, schaut es für mich eher so aus, als hätte das Huhn eine Affäre mit dem Osterhasen gehabt und legt  nun bunte Eier…. Ich habe ein paar Freundinnen gefragt und es ist gut möglich, dass meine Gedanken da etwas verquer sind, denn sie haben das nicht so gesehen, aber ich bringe die Idee einfach nicht mehr aus meinem Kopf.

Zwischen die Hühner, vor den Zaun, habe ich dann noch ein paar kleine Grasbüschel geklebt, denn das gewischte Gras war fast komplett vom Zaun verdeckt. Und unter die Füße der Hühner habe ich jeweils ein kleines grünes Oval, gemacht mit der Shadows and Flower Stanze, als Boden geklebt, da das Gras hier recht hell gewischt war und die Hühner irgendwie zu schweben schienen.

Unten auf der Karte habe ich dann meinen Text direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Er ist aus dem Set Schöne Ostern.

 

 The chickens and eggs are from Kikeriki. That’s where my problems started. Originally I had placed a bunny from Hasenparade between the chickens. I put a light yellow egg in front of each chicken, in front of the bunny I had placed the colorful egg. But that looked like the chickens aren’t wondering about the color of the egg but about the bunny sitting between them. So I removed the bunny and placed the colorful egg in front of one of the chickens. The story in my head was like the easter bunny paid a visit during the night and replaced a regular egg with a colorful one. But when I look at the card now it more looks to me like the chicken had an affair with the easter bunny and is now laying colorful eggs…. I asked some friends and no one else saw it like this, so it might be my twisted brain but I just can’t get that idea out of my head anymore.

Between the chickens I placed some patches of grass because the stenciled on grass was nearly covered completly by the fence. I also put a small oval, cut from green cardstock with the Shadows and Flower die, under each chicken. The stenciled on grass is pretty light here and the chickens somehow seemed to float.

Across the bottom of my card I stamped the text, that means „greetings from the easter bunny“.

 

Oben auf den Wolken habe ich kleine Gedankenblasen aus dem Liebesmöwen-Set aufgeklebt. Das Herz darin habe ich vor dem Stempeln herausgeschnitten und dann nur in einer Gedankenblase abgestempelt. In die anderen habe ich Fragezeichen aus dem Set Klein und Fein gestempelt. Und bei den Schmetterlingen, die ich zwischen die Gedankenblasen gestempelt habe, bin ich dann fremdgegangen, sie sind von LawnFawn. Die Schmetterlinge in den Create a Smile Sets waren mir alle zu groß und das Set mit den Schäfchen, in dem sich ein kleiner Schmetterling befindet, habe ich nicht.

 

Onto the cloud I adhered three thought bubbles. I cut the heart out of  the stamp so I was able to stamp one bubble with the heart and two without. Into those empty ones I stamped a question mark. And then I wanted some small butterflies fluttering between the thought bubbles but didn’t have such a small one by Create a Smile, so I used some by LawnFawn instead.

 

 

Die Hühner samt Eiern und die Gedankenblasen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich den Hintergrund schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Ein Blick in die Karten...

Heute habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte für Euch, die einen Blick in die Karten wirft...

Today I have another birthday card to share with you.

 

Der Hintergrund auf der Karte ist - ungewollt - sehr unruhig geworden und ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich den nochmal neu machen soll. Aber mein Mann fand ihn gut so, also habe ich seiner Meinung mal vertraut.

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Ink Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany und Black Soot gewischt. Anschließend habe ich einen Strahlenstencil von MFT aufgelegt und erst mit weißer Pigment-Tinte Strahlen aufgewischt, der Mittelpunkt der Strahlen liegt hinter den Spielkarten.

Vielleicht könnt Ihr es vor allem unten rechts etwas erkennen, die Distress Inks haben die weiße Tinte hellrosa/-rot verfärbt. Aber das fand ich nicht schlimm. Nun wollte ich die Strahlen noch etwas hervorheben und habe die silber-glitzernde Astro-Paste von SimonHurley aufgetragen - ganz dünn und nicht vollflächig, eher fleckig. Tja, ich hätte es von den weißen Strahlen schon erahnen können, aber so schlau war ich in dem Moment nicht. Denn die Paste hat natürlich auch hier die Distress Inks wieder angelöst und so sind meine Glitzerstrahlen nicht silber, sondern rot verfärbt...

Anschließend habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt, und auch die wurde dann eher rosa. Ich hatte die Distress Inks einige Zeit trocknen lassen und ´zusätzlich mit einem Heißluftfön getrocknet, offenbar nicht gut genug, und Rot hat ja immer so seine Eigenheiten. 

 

Totally unplanned, the background on this card turned out very busy and I really wasn't sure for a long time if I should make a new one. But my husband liked it as it was and so I trusted his opinion on that and stuck with it.

I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot. Then I put a ray stencil by MFT on top and applied white pigment ink through it, the center of the rays is behind the playing cards.

It's pretty good visible at the bottom right, that the Distress Inks colored the white ink a light pink/red, but it didn't bother me. Then I wanted  to bring out the rays just a bit more and applied silver glitter Astro Paste by SimonHurley - very thin and not a solid layer, more splotchy. Well, I should have known it from the white ink, but I just didn't think of it at that moment. Of course the paste re-activated the Distress Ink and they turned the silver glitter into red...

I also added splatters of white acrylic paint and again, it turned out a soft pink. I really let the Distress Ink dry for quite some time and also heat-set it with a heatgun, but it seems like the ink still wasn't dry enough. And red always has its own ideas.

 

 Die Karte sollte eine Geburtstagskarte werden und ich wollte unbedingt Freundschaftsbänder mit einbauen. Da die nicht so in der Luft schweben können, musste natürlich eine Hand/ein Arm eingebaut sein, die die Bändchen tragen. Und die Hand sollte dann auch etwas halten, am besten etwas, das ich mit Zahlen versehen kann. So ist das Design dieser Karte entstanden.

Ich habe aus weißem Cardstock eine der Hände aus dem Heart in Hand Stanzenset von Spellbinders gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Eigentlich gefiel mir die andere Hand im Set auf den ersten Blick besser, aber als ich dann die Karten einbauen wollte, ergab die Handhaltung so überhaupt keinen Sinn. Für mich geht die irgendwie insgesamt nicht zusammen, also habe ich die flache Hand benutzt, die hat dann mit den Karten funktioniert.

Die Karten sind einfach Rechtecke aus weißem Cardstock, die ich an den Ecken abgerundet habe. Damit sie etwas interessanter wirken, habe ich mit weißer Folie und der Zen Circles Hotfoil Plate von HeroArts ein Muster auffoliert und nur die unteren Ränder der Karten ein wenig mit Distress Ink Lost Shadow schattiert.

Mittig auf jedes Rechteck habe ich dann zwei weitere Rechtecke aufgeklebt - ein schwarzes und ein minimal kleineres weißes. Das bildete den Hintergrund für die Geburtstagskerzen - zwei Stück auf der Karte mit dem Wert 2, 5 für die Karte mit dem Wert 5.  Jawohl, die Karte ist für einen 52. Geburtstag entstanden. Die Kerzen sind mit Stanzen aus dem Set Lovely Layers Cupcake and More von HoneyBeeStamps gemacht. Außerdem habe ich jede Karte noch mit Zahlen und einigen Pik-Symbolen versehen, ein großes davon habe ich jeweils auf die Kerzen gesetzt. Hier kamen Stanzen aus den Sets Pip and Rank von Spellbinders sowie Lovely Layers Playing Cards von HoneyBeeStamps zum Einsatz.

Um die Spielkarten habe ich später noch Luftschlangen gewickelt. Die habe ich aus dem Curly Q Background Stanzteil von TayloredExpressions ausgeschnitten und mit Copics coloriert. Außerdem habe ich sie schwarz hinterlegt.

 

This card was planned as a birthday card and I really wanted to include some friendship bracelets. Since they can't just float around in the air I had to add a hand/arm to wear the bracelets. And those hands should hold something, preferrably something that I could put some numbers on. That's how the idea for this card was born.

I die cut one of the hands from Heart in Hand by Spellbinders from white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I originally wanted to use the other hand from the set, but once I tried to let it hold the cards it just didn't work out. Somehow the anatomy of this hand just doesn't make sence. So I skipped to the open hand from the set, that worked with the cards.

The cards are simple rectangles cut from white cardstock and where I rounded the corners. To make them more interesting I used white foil and hot foiled the Zen Circles by HeroArts onto them, then inked just the bottom of each card with a bit of Distress Ink Lost Shadow. 

Onto the center of each card I adhered two more rectangles - a black one and a slightly smaller white one. Those create the background for some birthday candles - two for the card with the value 2 and five for the other one. Yes, I made this card for a 52nd birthday. I cut the candles using dies from Lovely Layers Cupcake and More by HoneyBeeStamps. I also added numbers and spades to each card. For those I used dies from Pip and Rand by Spellbinders and Lovely Layers Playing Cards by HoneyBeeStamps. 

Later I wrapped some streamers around the cards. I cut those from the Curly Q background by TayloredExpressions and colored them with Copics. Then I also backed them with black cardstock.

 

 Wie schon erwähnt, mussten Freundschaftsbändchen auf die Karte. Ich habe die Bestie Alphabet Beads von Spellbinders mit schwarzer Folie auf silbernen Metallic-Cardstock foliert und dann mit der entsprechenden Stanze ausgestanzt. Das mag aufwändig klingen, es sind aber 2 Pressplates im Set enthalten, die alle Buchstaben des Alphabets - größtenteils mehrfach - und einige Symbole gleichzeitig prägen/folieren. Und die Stanze aus dem Set stanzt dann alle Teile einer PressPlate auf einmal aus. Mit den Buchstabenperlen, die ich für die Karte nicht brauchte, habe ich die verwendeten Perlen hinterlegt, so dass jede nun aus vier Lagen besteht. Die habe ich dann an den Arm geklebt und damit einen Geburtstagsgruß geschrieben.

 Nun war der Text doch recht klein und rechts daneben noch jede Menge Platz auf der Karte. Also habe ich mit einem Stempel aus dem Abracadabra von MFT die Brücke von Spielkarten zu Geburtstag geschlagen. Den Text habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

As mentioned already did I want to include some friendship bracelets in this card. I black hotfoiled the Bestie Alphabet Beads by Spellbinders onto silver metallic cardstock and then cut them out with the matching die. It might seem time consuming but there are two press plates in this set, that press/foil all the letters of the alphabet - most of them more than once - and also some symbols in just one pass. And the die cuts out all the elements of one the press plates. I used the beads, that I didn't need  for this card, to add dimension to the ones I used, each of them is made from four layers now. Then I glued the beads to the arm and wrote a birthday greeting with them.

Well, that text was pretty small and there was a lot of empty space left on the bottom right of the card. So I used a die from Abracadabra by MFT to connect the playing cards with the birthday theme. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock. 

 

 Die Hand samt Spielkarten und Luftschlangen habe ich mit dünnem, den embossten Text mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Auf dem Hintergrund habe ich noch einige silberne Stern-Konfetti verteilt (war ja noch nicht genug los dort!), dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I backed the hand with the playing cards and streamers with thin, the embossed text with thick foam tape. Then I added  some silver star confetti to the background (there wasn't enough going on there already!) and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Tochter-Geburstagskarte No. 2

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute zeige ich Euch Karte für Tochter Nr. 2. Für sie sind es Eulen, die irgendwie überall, wo die Tochter ist, vollkommen unerwartet auftauchen: als Bilder an der Wand, Deko auf Geschirr, in Form kleiner Figuren im Regal.... Und natürlich gibt es auch hier ein gemeinsames Bild von Karte und Schoko-Tier. 

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you the card for daughter no. 2. For her it's owls, that seem to appear everywhere where she is or goes: as pictures on a wall, decoration on china, as little figures on a shelf.... And of course I also have a picture of the card and chocolate animal together.

 

 Für diese Karte war die Party-Eule aus dem Set Eule von Stampcorner perfekt!

Der Hintergrund besteht wieder aus weißem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire und ein wenig Black Soot gewischt habe. Ich wusste bereits, dass ich einen Mond in den Hintergrund setzen wollte, also habe ich den Bereich um dessen geplanten Platz am hellsten gewischt.

Anschließend habe ich weiße Acylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Mit dem All Star Burst Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp habe ich dann die Strahlen und Sterne in den Cardstock geprägt. Und um die etwas mehr hervorzuheben, habe ich mit eine Schwämmchen goldene Gilding Paste nur auf die erhabensten Stellen aufgetragen.

 

For this card the party owl by Stampcorner was perfect.

The background is again made from a piece of white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Black Soot. I already knew that I wanted to put a moon in the background so I kept the area around it's planned placement the lightest.

Then I added splatters of white acrylic paint.

Using the All Star Burst embossing folder by SimonSaysStamps I dry embossed the rays and stars into the cardstock. To bring them out a bit more I used a sponge to apply gold Gilding Paste just onto the most raised areas.

 

Den Mond habe ich mit der  Over the Moon Stanze von MFT aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert.

Von beiden Seiten der Karte wachsen Äste in die Szene. Die habe ich mit Zweig-Motiven aus verschiedenen Stempelsets von LawnFawn gemacht. Dabei habe ich einen der Zweige beim Abziehen von der Folie zerrissen. Das ist mir noch nie passiert, zum Glück lässt er sich so zusammensetzen, dass beim Stempeln keine Nahtlinie oder ähnliches zu sehen ist. Komisch finde ich es trotzdem.

Die Zweige habe ich mit Lampions aus Licht An von Create a Smile und Luftschlangen, die ich aus dem Curly Q Background von TayloredExpressions ausgeschnitten habe, dekoriert. Auch diese Teile sind alle mit Copics coloriert.

 

 The moon I cut from cream colored cardstock using the Over the Moon die by MFT, then shaded it with Copics.

From both sides of the cardstock I let branches come into the scene. I used branch images from different stamp sets by LawnFawn here - and while pulling one off the clear carrier sheet I ripped it apart. That has never happened to me before but luckily I was able to put it together for stamping and there's no seam visible. I still think it's odd. 

The branches I decorated with paper lanters from Licht An by Create a Smile and streamers, that I have cut from the Curly Q Background by TayloredExpressions. All the pieces I colored with Copics. 

Die Eule aus dem Stempelset Eule von Stampcorner kommt schon in Partyausstattung - ich habe ihr nur noch den Luftballon aus Sweet Bee von Impronte d'Autore unter den Flügel geklemmt. Auch die Eule ist mit Copics coloriert, die feinen Details sind mit Polychromos und einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Die Eule hat einen Mund, in dem die Partytröte steckt - an sich ja etwas eigenwillig, denn eigentlich reicht ja der Schnabel... Da der Mund aber eigentlich nur eine Art O ist und die Eule so etwas traurig aussah, habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen lächelnden Mund daraus gemacht. 

Unten auf der Karte befindet sich der Text - und auch hier habe ich auf ein "happy birthday" verzichtet. Stattdessen habe ich mit Stempenl aus Swan Soiree und So Owlsome von LawnFawn ein "have an owlsome day" zusammengesetzt und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

The owl from the stamp set Eule by Stampcorner already comes with the party accessoires, I only tucked the balloon from Sweet Bee by Impronte d'Autore under her wing. Also the owl is colored with Copics, the fine details I added with Polychromos and a white gel pen. This owl has a mouth, in which she is holding the blowout - that's a bit weird because there's also a beak... But the mouth originally is just some kind of O and it made the owl look a bit sad. So I used a black fineliner to turn that into a smiling mouth.

At the bottom of the card I added the sentiments - and again I didn't put a "happy birthday" onto the card. Instead I combined stamps from Swan Soiree and So Owlsome by LawnFawn to write "have an owlsome day" and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

 

 Der Luftballon ist mit Glossy Accents überzogen, die Pupillen habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. 

Die Äste, Luftschlangen, Lampions und der Text sind mit dünnem, die Eule mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The balloon is covered with Glossy Accents, the pupils I re-did with a black Glaze Pen.

I put thin foam tape behind the branches,  streamers, paper lanterns and text and thick tape behind the owl. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Tochter-Geburtstagskarte No. 1

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich weiß nicht, wie es schon wieder sein konnte, aber meine Zwillinge hatten Geburtstag. Gefühlt war der doch erst! 

Nunja, als ich vor Ostern in der Süßigkeitenabteilung eines Supermarktes unterwegs war, sah ich Schoko-Tiere einer bekannten Schokoladenmarke. Nun ist es so, dass jede meiner Töchter ein Tier hat, zu dem sie eine besondere Beziehung hat. Und was soll ich sagen, da saßen beide dieser Tiere nebeneinander im Regal. Die mussten für den Geburtstagstisch mitgenommen werden. Und mit den Tieren stand dann auch gleich ein Thema für die Geburtstagskarten fest. Die erste davon zeige ich Euch heute - und auf dem ersten Bild zusammen mit dem Schoko-Tier.

 

Hello everyone!

I don't know how it could happen again so soon, but it was my twins' birthay. It feels like it was just a few months ago. 

Well, when I was in a local grocery store a few days before esater I saw chocolate animals by a famous chocolate brand. Each of my daughters has one animal, that has a special meaning in their life. And guess what, both of those animals were sitting on the shelf side by side. I just had to buy them to sit them between the gifts. And with those animals I also knew right away, what I wanted  to put on their birthday cards. The first one I am sharing with you today - and on the first picture the chocolate animal can be seen also.

 

 Und hier ist die Karte dann solo - und klar habt Ihr es bemerkt, Tier Nr. 1 ist ein Bienchen. Wie gut, dass ich da erst auf der Stempelmesse die Bienen von Impronte d'Autore mitgenommen habe!

Der Hintergrund ist aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gemacht. Auf den habe ich zuerst mit goldener Glitter-Folie die Sonnenstrahlen auffoliert und dafür eine Hotfoil Plate von Carlijn Design benutzt. Die ist eigentlich im Querformat, allerdings von Haus aus größer als eine normale Karte. Also habe ich sie senkrecht benutzt, der unfolierte Streifen am unteren Ende der Karte wird von den Blumen verdeckt. 

Den Cardstock habe ich dann unten mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, oben mit Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt und außerdem etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

This is just the card - and of course you know it by now, animal no. 1 is a little bee. Luckily I just bought the bees by Impronte d'Autore at the stamp fair in april!

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. First I foiled some sunrays onto it using a glittery gold foil and a hotfoil plate by Carlijn Design. This is originally desinged in a landscape orientation but in generall a bit larger than a regular card. So I used it on a portrait card, the unfoiled strip at the bottom is covered by the flowers.

I inked the bottom of the cardstock with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, the top with Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and also added some splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 Hier ist die Biene in ganzer Pracht. Sie ist aus dem Stempelset Sweet Bee von Impronte d'Autore. Ich habe ihr einen Luftballon aus dem selben Set sowie den Partyhut und die Partytröte aus Party Time gegeben. Eigentlich trägt beides eine Maus, aber ich konnte die beiden Motivteile einfach abstempeln, maskieren und dann die Biene einfach drübersetzen - die Anordnung war quasi perfekt. 

Coloriert habe ich dann mit Copics, die Härchen am Körper sind mit Polychromos und einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. 

Rund um die Biene habe ich einige weiße Wolken, Konfetti aus Happy Headlines von Concord and 9th sowie einige kleine Bienenfreunde aus You're a Keeper von LawnFawn verteilt.

 

Here's the bee in full size. It's from Sweet Bee by Impronte d'Autore. I added a heart shaped balloon from the same set and a party hat and party blower from Party Time. Originally a mouse is wearing those two elements but I was able to simply stamp the two parts of the image, mask them off and then stamp the bee on top - the position was perfect. 

I colored the images with Copics, added the hair on the body with Polychromos and a white gel pen.

Around the bee I added some white clouds, confetti from Happy Headlines by Concord and 9th and some small bee friends from You're a Keeper by LawnFawn.

 

 Die Blumenwiese am unteren Rand der Karte ist mit den Blümchen aus Heute wird Gut von Create a Smile gemacht. Ich habe die Dreiergruppe dafür mehrmals versetzt und ein wenig gedreht nebeneinander gestempelt und sie dann ausgeschnitten. Coloriert habve ich wieder mit Copics.

Und quer über die Blumen habe ich dann den Text angebracht. Eigentlich wollte ich auch ein "happy birthday" benutzen, aber ohne gefiel es mir dann tatsächlich besser. Also habe ich nur diesen Text, ebenfalls aus You're a Keeper, schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und ausgeschnitten.

 

The flowers at the bottom of the card are my using the flowers from Heute wird Gut by Create a Smile. I stamped the group of three flowers several times, moving and turning them a bit each time, then cut them out. For the coloring I used Copics again.

And across the flowers I placed the text. I originally had planned to also add a "happy birthday", but then I liked it better without. So I simply stamped this text, again from You're a Keeper, black onto white cardstock and cut it out.

 

 Die Flügel der Bienen habe ich jeweils mit Stickles beglittert, der Luftballon ist mit einer Schicht Glossy Accents überzogen.

Zum Zusammensetzen der Szene kam dann natürlich 3D Tape zum Einsatz - dünnes hinter den Bienen und dem Text, dickes hinter  den Blume. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used Stickles to add glitter to the bees' wings, the balloon I covered with a layer of Glossy Accents.

To put the scene together I used foam tape - of course. There's thin one behind the bees and the text and thick one behind the flowers. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

In den letzten Wochen war hier familienbedingt wahnsinnig viel los und so komme ich erst jetzt langsam dazu, meine auf der Stempelmesse Süd erstandenen Schätze einzuweihen. So auch auf dieser Karte, die zwar eher einfach ist, mir aber wirklich gut gefällt.

There was a lot happening in our family those last weeks and so I find the time just now to use all  those goodies I bought at the stamp fair beginning of april. One product I used on this card, that's more on the simpler side (at least for me) but I really like how it turned out.

 

Startpunkt für den Hintergrund war ein Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire sowie ein klein wenig Salvaged Patina gewischt habe. In der Mitte habe ich ein kleines Stück weiß gelassen.

Nur auf die äußeren, dunklen Bereiche des Cardstocks habe ich ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann noch zwei Wolkenbordüren gestanzt und wieder mit Salvaged Patina ein wenig gewischt.

 

I started my backgroud with a piece of white carstock, that I inked with Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Salvaged Patina. I left a small area in the center white.

Only onto the outer dark areas I splattered a bit of white acrylic paint.

From white cardstock I die cut some cloud borders and used Salvaged Patina again to shade them lightly.

 

 Und das neu erstandene Produkt, von dem ich gesprochen habe, sind diese kleinen geflügelten Schweinchen von Creative Depot. Es sind nicht etwas Stempel, sondern Embossingfolder, die die Motive gleichzeitig ausstanzen. Das kleine Schwein Mathilda finde ich absolut zuckersüß, aber das in einem Stempelset enthaltene Motiv war mir einfach zu klein. Also habe ich mich für den Embossingfolder entschieden. 

Ich habe beide Schweinchen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt/in weißen Cardstock geprägt und dann, ähnlich wie beim NoLine Coloring, mit Copics coloriert. Das hat erstaunlich gut geklappt!

Unter die Schweinchen habe ich jeweils noch ein hell-türkis farbenes Oval als Schatten geklebt.

 

And the new item, that I talked about, are  those little winged piggies by Creative Depot. They are actually not stamps, but embossing folder, that also cut out the images. I love this little pig named Mathilda, but the version, that was included in a stamp set, was just too small for me. So I went with the embossing folder instead.

 I cut/embossed both images from/into white cardstock and then colored them with Copics, pretty similar to no-line coloring. It worked surprisingly well!

Under the pigs I put a small oval, cut from light aqua cardstock, as the ground.

 

 Da die beiden Schweinchen an den gleichen Punkt am Himmel zu schauen scheinen, musste da natürlich etwas sein, das ihren Blick so auf sich zieht. Ich habe mich für einen Stern entschieden. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder mit Copics coloriert. 

Von der Stelle ausgehend, auf der sich der Stern befinden sollte, habe ich dann mit helltürkis farbener Kreide Strahlen auf den Himmel gewischt. 

Und zu der Szene passte dieser Text aus dem Set Wish Upon a Star von MamaElephant perfekt. Ich habe ihn einfach mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst.

 

Since those two piggies seem to look at the same spot in the sky I needed something to be there for them to look at. I went with a star. I die cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

Radiating from the spot, where I wanted to put the star, I added rays to the sky, using light aqua chalk.

And with that scene, this text from Wish Upon a Star by MamaElephant just worked perfectly. I simply white heat embossed it directly onto the background.

 

 Die Schweinchen habe ich mit dünnem, die vordere Wolkenreihe  mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Die Flügel der Schweine und den Stern habe ich mit Stickles ein wenig beglittert und außerdem mit einem weißen Gelstift einige Sterne/Glitzerpunkte um den Stern und an den Himmel gemalt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the pigs with thin, the top cloud layer with this foam tape. I added Stickles to the pigs' wings and the star and also added some stars/light reflections to the star and sky using a white gel pen.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

 

Seeds the day!

Unter "seize the day" - also in etwa Carpe Diem - versteht wohl jeder etwas anderes. Die Vögel und Eichhörnchen auf meiner Karte scheinen hier aber, jeder auf seine Art, recht erfolgreich den Vorsatz umzusetzen.

I think, seize the day means something different for everyone. The birds and squirrels on today's card seem to be pretty successful here, everyone in their own way.

 

Hier habe ich für den Hintergrund ein Stück weißen Cardstock genommen und mit einem Wolkenstencil und Distress Ink Salvaged Patina Wolken aufgewischt.

Aus grünem Cardstock habe ich den Meadow Backdrop Portrait gestanzt und den oberen Hügel ausgeschnitten. Den habe ich später als unteren Grashügel aufgesetzt und dabei die größeren Pflanzenstiele herausgeschnitten. Die Graslagen habe ich mit Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn gewischt. 

Eigentlich wollte ich hier mal auf Farbspritzer verzichten. Später aber war mir der Himmel zu fad. Da die Motive bereits aufgeklebt waren und es somit zu spät zum Splattern war, habe ich einige Punkte mit einem weißen Gelstift auf den Himmel gemalt.

 

For  the background I used a piece of white cardstock and added clouds to it using a cloud stencil and Distress Ink Salvaged Patina.

From green cardstock I cut the Meadow Backdrop Portrait and cut off the top hill. Later I used that as the bottom grass layer, cutting off the larger flower stems. I inked the grass layers with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

Originally I had planned to not add any splatter to the card but later I found the sky too plain. Since I had already adhered the images and so it was to late for splattering I simply added some small dots with a white gel pen.

 

 Fangen wir bei dieser Karte mal von unten an.

Ich habe hier mittig die Mauer aus dem Simply Celebrate Hangout Set verwendet. Die habe ich per Maskieren erhöht, eigentlich hat sie nur drei Steinreihen. Ich habe einige zusätzliche Reihen angestempelt und die Mauer mit Copics coloriert. Außerdem habe ich it einem weißen Gelstift die Fugen nachgemalt, so finde ich die Mauer etwas realistischer.

In der Wiese vor der Mauer sitzen zwei Eichhörnchen, von denen eines dem anderen eine Geschichte vorliest. Und die beiden scheinen noch einiges vorzuhaben, denn hinter ihnen liegen noch zwei hohe Bücherstapel. Auf einem sitzt ein kleiner Bücherwurm und lauscht ebenfalls der Geschichte.

Die Eichhörnchen auf der Karte sind aus den Sets Let's Go Nuts, Little Woodland Library, Backyard Bird Feeder und Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. Die Bücherstapel sind aus Little Woodland Library und Little Woodland Library Friends. Aus dem ersten dieser Sets ist auch der kleine Wurm. 

In der Wiese habe ich noch einige Blumen aus Backyard Bird Feeder gepflanzt. 

 Und weil auf der Karte zum Schluss irgendwie kein Platz mehr war, habe ich meinen Text einfach mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf die Mauer gestempelt. Das war ein wenig ein Balance-Akt, denn ich hatte die Szene bereits komplett zusammengeklebt. Hinter der Mauer befindet sich natürlich 3D Tape, allerdings nicht vollflächig und so war ich mir nicht sicher, ob das mit dem Textstempeln hier funktionieren wird. Mit viel Druck hat es dann zum Glück geklappt. Der Text ist aus dem Set Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On.

 

Let't talk about the bottom of this card first.

To the center of the scene I adhered the brick wall from Simply Celebrate Hangout. I did some masking to make it taller, originally it only has three rows of bricks. I added some additional rows and colored the wall with Copics. I used a fine white gel pen to trace the mortar between the bricks, I think, it looks more realistic this way.

In front of the wall two squirrels are sitting in the grass, one is reading a book to the other one. Seems like those two have a few more books to go - there are two huge piles stacked up behind them. On one there's a little bookworm, also listening to the story.

The squirrels on this card are from Let's Go Nuts, Little Woodland Library, Backyard Bird Feeder  and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. The stacks of books are from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Friends. From the first set is also the little worm.

I planted some flowers from Backyard Bird Feeder in the grass.

And since there was no room for my text after I had put the scene together I stamped it directly onto the wall using black ink. It was a bit of a risk because I had used foam tape behind the wall, but not covering it completly and I wasn't sure if stamping onto it would be possible. Luckily it worked with some elbow greese. The text is from Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On.

 

 Ganz oben habe ich einen großen Ast quer auf den Hintergrund geklebt, auf dem ein Eichhhörnchen fröhlich herumspringt. 

Oben auf der Mauer steht ein Vogelfutterhaus voller leckerer Körner, die nicht nur den Vögeln schmecken. Eines der Eichhörnchen knabbert gerade genüßlich einen Sonnenblumenkern und ein anderes schaut hoffnungsvoll vom Fuß der Mauer nach oben. Einer der Vögel scheint sich nicht ganz sicher zu sein, was er von den nicht-gefiederten Gästen halten soll...

Die Vögel, das Vogelhaus und der kleine Körnerhaufen nebendem Haus sind genauso wie der Ast samt Blüten aus den Sets Backyard Bird Feeder und Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copic coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

At the very top of the scene I adhered a branch across the card, on that one little squirrel is jumping around happily.

On top of the wall there's a bird house full of yummy seeds, that are not only a treat to the birds. One of the squirrels is snacking on a sunflower seed and another one is looking up happily from the bottom of the wall. Seems like one of the birds isn't sure what to think about the additional guests...

The birds, the bird house and the little pile of seeds next to as well as the branch and flowers on it are all from Backyard Bird Feeder and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On. I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.

 

 Wie schon erwähnt - und wahrscheinlich nicht anders erwartet - habe ich 3D Tape zum Zusammensetzen der Szene benutzt. Außerdem habe ich einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und als Rahmen um die Szene gesetzt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

As already mentioned - and most likely also expected - did I use foam tape to put the scene together. I also die cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from white cardstock and put it around the scene.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.
