Gestern habe ich Euch meine Projekte zu den ersten drei Tagen der MFT Summer School gezeigt, heute folgen Tag 4 und 5.

Yesterday I've shared my projects for the first three days of MFT's Summer School 2020, today I'll show you the ones made for day 4 and 5.
An Tag 4 lautete das Motto "ombrè". Ich denke, das muss man nicht übersetzen. Ombrè kann man auf verschiedene Weisen umsetzen. Mit verschiedenen Stärken eines Farbtons stempeln, von hell nach dunkel wischen oder auch micht Papier. Ich habe mich für diesen Ombrè-Look entschieden:
The lesson on day 4 was about ombrè. This look can be achieved in different ways: stamping in different tones of one color, a background fading from dark to light or even by using different tones of cardstock. I've decided to do my ombrè this way:
Ich habe hier die Snow Drifts Cover-Up Stanze benutzt und aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich die inneren Teile aus Cardstock in verschiedenen Blautönen gestanzt - von ganz hell bis richtig dunkel. Die habe ich dann zurück in das Stanzteil, das ich schwarz gemattet habe, geklebt und schon war mein Ombrè-Look fertig.
I've used the Snow Drifts Cover-Up die and die cut it from white cardstock. Then I've die cut the inner pieces again from cardstock in different tones of blue - from a very light one to a really dark one. Then I've glued those back into the cut out areas of my cover up, that I've matted black, and my ombrè look was done.
Der fertige Hintergrund hat mich an Meer und Himmel erinnert. Deswegen habe ich eine große Wolke aus dem End of the Rainbow Stanzenset rechts aufgeklebt und den Teil, der überstand, weggeschnitten. Dahinter habe ich eine Sonne aus dem Stitched Rainbow and Sun Set geklebt. Die Sonne ist aus goldenem Glitzercardstock gestanzt.
Dazu passte natürlich das Wort sunshine perfekt. Auch das ist aus goldenem Glitzercardstock gestanzt und außerdem befinden sich hinter der goldenen Lage drei weitere aus schwarzem Cardstock.
Den Text habe ich dann nur noch mit zwei Stempeln aus dem Stempelset Label Maker Love ergänzt und außerdem ein paar goldene Pailetten aufgeklebt.
The finished background reminded me of the ocean and a sky. So I've die cut a big cloud from the End of the Rainbow die set, cutting off the part that went over the edge of my cover. Behind it I've glued a sun from the Stitched Rainbow and Sun set. The sun is cut from golden glitter cardstock.
The word sunshine was just perfect here. I've die cut it from golden glitter cardstock, too, and also glued three cut from black cardstock behind the golden layer.
I've finished the text with two stamps from the Label Maker Love stamp set and also added a few golden sequins.
And here I wanted to catch the shine of the cardstock but somehow that didn't work.
Und nun noch zu Tag 5, an dem die Aufgabe "white space". Es geht darum, eine relativ große Fläche auf der Karte weiß zu lassen. Das muss nicht rein weiß sein, es kann zum Beispiel ein leichtes Muster zu sehen sein. Aber weiß beruhigt eine komplette Karte und lenkt zudem den Fokus auf den/die dekorierten Bereich(e). Ehrlich gesagt, große weiße Flächen können angseinflößend sein. Aber wenn man sich darauf einlässt, dann ist das Ergebnis wirklich toll. Meines sieht so aus:
And now on to the final day 5: "white space". This lesson is about leaving a quite large area of your card white. It doesn't have to be pure white, i. e. you can add a soft pattern. But white calms down a card and also leads the eye to the decorated area(s). Honestly, white spaces can be intimidating. But once you go through with it the result is amazing. This is what my white space card looks like:
Nach zwei regnerischen Tagen brauchte ich definitiv Sonnenschein!
Ihr seht, ich habe wirklich nur einen Teil der Karte dekoriert und den Rest nicht angefasst. Der weiße Cardstock ist nur helltürkis gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.
After two rainy days I definately needed some sunshine!
As you can see I really only decorated a part of this card and left the rest untouched. The white cardstock is only matted with some light turquoise and glued onto a white note card.
Aus dem weißen Cardstock habe ich die Sunshine Shaker Stanze ausgestanzt und mit goldenem Glitzercardstock hinterlegt.
Quer vor der Sonne ist ein Ast zu sehen. Ich habe ihn mit der Tree Branch Stanze aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Blätter habe ich aus hell- und dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und an den colorierten Ast geklebt.
Auf dem Ast sitzt ein kleines Chamäleon. Es ist aus dem Stempelset Polynesian Paradise und mit Copics coloriert. Am Kopf habe ich eine tropische Blüte aus dem Set Sunshine and Friendship angebracht. Im Set Polynesian Paradise sind zwar auch solche Blüten enthalten, die waren mir für das Chamäleon aber zu groß.
Unter dem Ast habe ich ein aus türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanztes hello aufgeklebt und dann nur noch ein paar Pailetten auf die Karte aufgeklebt.
From the white cardstock I've die cut the Sunhine Shaker die and put some golden glitter cardstock behind the cut out areas.
In front of the sun a branch is growing. I've die cut the branch from white cardstock with the Tree Branch die and colored it with Copics. The leaves were cut from light and dark green cardstock and glued onto the colored branch.
On the branch there's a little chameleon sitting. It's from the Polynesian Paradise stamp set and colored with Copics. To its head I've attached a tropical flower from the Sunshine and Friendship stamp set. There are flowers like this included in the Polynesian Paradise set but those seemed too large for the chameleon.
Under the branch I've added a hello, die cut from light turquoise cardstock, and then only added a few sequins to finish my design.
Und nachdem ich hiermit die Schulwoche bereits abgeschlossen habe, bekomme ich noch einen "Abschluss". Und den poste ich dann auch.
And since summer school is already over with these 5 days/projects I am proudly posting my graduation "dipolma".
