Ich habe hier ein weiteres der süßen neuen Maya Motive von Whiff Of Joy verwendet: Fliegenpilze Sammeln. Naja, und das Fliegenpilz-Thema habe ich dann natürlich auch auf den Rest der Karte übertragen. Im Hintergrund habe ich dunklere, grüne Papiere genommen, schließlich sind die zwei im Wald unterwegs.... 

Here I used another one of the cute new Maya stamps by Whiff Of Joy: Fliegenpilze Sammeln. I kept with the mushroom theme on the rest of my card. In the background I used some darker green papers - tried to give the impression of this cutie being out in the woods...

Time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins - and this week we have a tutorial for this swing card. I know, when you usually google swing card you get  a different one than this but well, how to name it? LOL With this technique you can let your whole image or just a part of it swing/rock.

Auf den nächsten beiden Bildern könnt Ihr den Effekt prima sehen - und wenn Ihr schnell zwischen den beiden Motiven in Großansicht hin- und herschaltet, dann schaukelt das Mädchen wirklich.

On the next two pictures you can see the effect of this card - and if you click on the picture, you get the full view. Now you can switch between the two cards and if you do it fast enough the little girl on her horse really rocks.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich es schon mal erwähnt habe - aber mein Mann ist Polizist. Und als ich diesen Stempel sah, wußte ich, damit gestalte ich etwas für ihn... Und so ist nun ein Namensschild für seinen Schreibtisch entstanden - ganz nach dem Vorbild aus den amerikanischen Serien. ;)

I don't know if I mentioned it here before but my husband is working as a police officer. So when I saw this new stamp I knew I had to make something work-related for him... And so I made him a name tag to put on his desk like you see it in all those american serials all the time. ;)

In Deutschland ist man sich über die Farbe der Polizeiuniformen ja derzeit nicht wirklich einig aber in Bayern gibt es (aus meiner Sicht leider) immer noch die grün-beige Variante für alle Beamte. Und natürlich mußte ich meine Coloration entsprechend gestalten.
Der Spruch "Mein Freund, Dir helf ich!" ist angelehnt an "die Polizei Dein Freund und Helfer" und natürlich mit einem zwinkernden Auge zu sehen.
Passend habe ich einen Polizei-Aufnäher als Deko gebastelt und sogar an kleinen Handschellen habe ich mich versucht.... ;)
Und als nächstes verziere ich, glaube ich, den Strafzettelblock... ;)

Well, here in Germany the different States have either blue or green and beige uniforms for their policemen. We in Bavaria still have the old green and beige ones (and I am really not happy about this LOL) and of course I had to make my coloration match.
Here we speak of the police as our "friends and helper" and that's what inspired me to the saying which means "I am going to help you, my friend". But it's also a common way to say "if you're not going to do what I want you to do I will make you do it!". ;)
I made a little police patch and also tried to make some little handcuffs as embellishments.
And the next thing I am going to decorate will be the ticket block I guess.... ;)

Cute Card Thursday - punch drunk

Einen schönen Donnerstag Euch allen!
"Punch Drunk" heißt es diese Woche bei Cute Card Thursday - keine Angst, Ihr müßt Euch nicht betrinken. Stattdessen möchten wir etwas gestanztes auf Euren Karten sehen.

"Punch drunk" is our new theme over at Cute Card Thursday - don't worry, you don't have to get drunk for this. Just use something punched.

Seit langer Zeit habe ich mal wieder ein Motiv von Hanglar verwendet. Das Matrosenmädchen paßt aber auch wunderbar zum Sommer. Ganz traditionell habe ich sie in blau und weiß coloriert und auch den Rest der Karte so gehalten.
Für den Kompass habe ich einen Stempel von Stampin Up verwendet, einen ausgestanzten Ring darüber gelegt und das ganze mit Glossy Accents aufgefüllt. Und auch die Anker-Stanze ist mal wieder zum Einsatz gekommen.

I used on of my Hanglar images on this one, haven't used them in ages. But this sailor girl is perfect for summer time. I went with the traditionell blue and white to color her in and also went on with these colors for the rest of my card.
For the compass I used a stamp by Stampin'Up, added a punched ring over it and filled the inner part with Glossy Accents. And I also used my ancor punch here again.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute möchte ich Euch ein Preview auf eines der neuen Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben: Apron Full Of Flowers. Der Stempel ist aus einer ganz neuen Reihe, die "Simply Maya" heißt und von der Designerin Gina Elerion gezeichnet wurde.

Alle neuen Motive werden wir Euch bei unserem Blog Hop am 15., also am Freitag, zeigen.

Today I want to give you a preview of one of the new images by Whiff Of Joy: Apron Full Of Flowers. The stamp is one of 3 from a brand new line called "Simply Maya" and has been designed by Gina Elerion.

We will present you all of the new images during our blog hop on friday, 15th of june.

Ich finde das Motiv einfach wunderbar und die Designs sind einfach toll zu colorieren. Ich selbst arbeite ja mit Copics aber ich bin sicher, dass diese Motive mit jedem Medium toll zu colorieren sind. Hier ist eine Nahaufnahme:

I love the new image and those new designs are great to color. I use Copics for my coloring but I'm these will be fun to color in with any kind of pens, markers or watercolors. Here's a close up:

Da das Motiv ja "Eine Schürze voller Blumen" heißt, lag es nahe, eine Schürzenkarte zu machen. Hinter das Motiv habe ich etwas Zaun und Gras gesetzt, dazu ein paar Schnörkel und Blumen und oben über dem Motiv, für den Schürzenlook, ein ovales Emblem mit Herz, passend zur Schürze von Maya. 

Since the image is called "Apron Full Of Flowers" making an apron shaped card was something that came up to my mind immediately. I put a fence and some grass behind the image, added a few flourishes and flowers and on top of the card, for the apron look, an oval with a heart, matching Maya's apron.

Ja, eigentlich gehen wir ja mit großen Schritten auf die Sommerferien zu und Schulkarten stehen wohl eher unten auf der To-Do-Liste. Aber der Winking Student von Sugar Nellie kann auch für andere Karten verwendet werden...

I know, we are all looking forward to the summer holidays and so school stuff may be way down on your to do lists. But this Winking Student can be used for non-school-ish cards as well...

Ich habe hier den Apfel im Motiv aufgegriffen und ihn sozusagen zum roten Faden der Karte gemacht - die Apfelform im Hintergrund, das Apfelpapier, der Apfelcharm....

I picked up the apple as my guiding line through the whole card - the apple shape on the card, the designer's paper and the charm...

Das Motiv habe ich auf kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Wenn Ihr wissen möchtet, wie genau, dann schaut doch auf dem Copic Marker Europe Blog vorbei. Dort zeige ich Euch in einem Tutorial Schritt für Schritt wie's geht.

I stamped the image on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copics. If you want to know how to do color on kraft cardstock please hop over to the Copic Marker Europe Blog where I have a step by step tutorial up for you.

Für die Innenseite habe ich das "Negativ" meines großen Apfels als Basis genommen und mit kraftfarbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Schreiblinien bestempelt habe, unterlegt. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

For the inside of the card I used the leftover piece of cardstock that was left from cutting the apple for the front and put some kraft cardstock underneath that I stamped school lines on. The saying is by Stampin'Up.

Urlaub und Ferien sind vorbei, der Alltag hat uns wieder - und ich habe mir als Urlaubssouvenir meine erste Grippe seit Jahren mitgebracht. Darum könnte es sein, dass dieser Post etwas kürzer ausfällt...
Auch dieser Montag startet mit einer Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal gibt es eine Farbkombi: lila und grün.

Holidays and vacation are over, everyday lilfe is back - and as a special souvenir I got sick the day after we turned home from Italy. So probably this post may be a bit shorter...
Also this monday starts with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we have a color combo for you: purple and green.

Oh nein, war mein erster Gedanke zu dieser Kombo, denn auf meiner Favoritenliste ist sie doch ziemlich weit unten angesiedelt. Aber ich habe ein sehr rauchiges Lila und ein nicht allzu leuchtendes Grün verwendet und das Ergebnis gefällt mir doch sehr gut!
Das Motiv, das ich hier verwendet habe, ist ein Freebie von Saturated Canary und wunderbar zu colorieren!
Die Lace habe ich mit Copics und Airbrush farblich passend eingefärbt.

Oh no - that's what I thought when I read that color combo because on my list of favourites it is way down to the end. But then I went with a smokey purple and a not too bright green and I really like the result!
The image I used is a freebie by Saturated Canary and so wonderful to color!
The lace has been airbrushed with Copics to make it match in color.

Magnolia Down Under - Winter

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich weiß, eigentlich sollte ja Sommer sein. Aber Magnolia Down Under wurde in Australien gegründet - und dort hat nun der Winter begonnen. Und darum haben wir dieses Thema für unsere neue Challenge gewählt. Und ganz ehrlich - es hat richtig Spaß gemacht, einen der Winterstempel zu verwenden!

I know, it's meant to be summer now. But Magnolia Down Under has been founded by a groupy of ladies from Australia - and there winter has startet now. And that's why we picked this theme for our new challenge. And to be honest - it was a lot of fun to use a winter stamp!

Natürlich wollte ich viele Eisblau-Töne verwenden, Schneeflocken, weiß... Und rausgekommen ist dann diese Karte mit Tilda with Snowheart. Natürlich durfte auch etwas Schnee aus der Tube und Glitzer nicht fehlen und zum Schluss fiel mir dann noch diese Feder in die Hand - leicht wie Schnee und so schön flufflig...

Of course I wanted to use a lot of ice blue colors, snowflakes and white.... And this is the card I ended up with using Tilda with Snowheart. Of course I needed to add some snow and glitter as well and in the end I found this feather - light as snow and so wonderful fluffy....

Cute Card Thursday - water, water

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es gibt eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday: water, water.

Hello dear ones!

We at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge for you: water, water.

 Wir sind immer noch im Urlaub und darum dachte ich, ich schicke Euch eine Wassernixe vorbei um auch hier etwas Urlaubsgefühl aufkommen zu lassen. Und natürlich muss sie in einer schönen Unterwasserlandschaft umher schwimmen.

We are still on vactaion and so I thought I'd send a mermaid over to give you some vacation feelings as well. And of course she needs a nice under water area to swim around in.

Eigentlich ist die Karte ganz einfach gehalten, mit ein paar Muscheln und viel "Seegras" um das Motiv herum. Oh, und ein paar Wellen.

Acutally this card is quite simple, just a few seashells and some sea grass around the image. Andn a few waves...

Interessant wirkt die Karte wohl dadurch, dass ich sie 3dimensional aufgebaut habe. Vorm Urlaub habe ich keine Anleitung geschafft, aber ich verrate Euch nach meiner Rückkehr, wie ich es gemacht habe. Geht wirklich ganz schnell - und kann fürs Kuvert absolut flach gemacht werden.

I think what makes this card interesting is that I made it 3-dimensional. I didn't have time to write up a tutorial before we left but I'll tell you after we come back. It's really fast and easy to make - and to mail it in an envelope it can be made absolutly flat.

Nora mit Frühlingsvögelchen heißt der Stempel, den ich hier verwendet habe. Er gehört nicht mir, sondern eine meiner Töchter hatte ihn sich auf dem Stempel-Mekka gekauft. Aber ich mußte ihn einfach mal ausleihen...
Und auch der Text/die Banner sind von Whiff of Joy: Banner Texte. Ich finde die prima, denn sie passen irgendwie immer.

Nora with Singbirds is the name of this stamps. It's not mine - one of my daughter bought it at a stamp fair but I just had to borrow it...

Pipi Longsocks

Auch wenn wir gerade in Italien am Strand liegen - es soll doch wie gewohnt am Dienstag eine Sugar Nellie Karte geben.

Even if we are in Italy at the moment - of course I want to share a Sugar Nellie card with you on tuesday.

Für diese Karte habe ich Pipi Longsocks verwendet - und nicht nur der Name, auch das Aussehen erinnert an Pipi Langstrumpf.
Da mußten dann kräftige und fröhliche Farben her!

I used Pipi Longsocks for my card - and not only the name but also the look reminds of Pipi Longsocks.
So I had to use bright an happy colors!

Unter dem Motiv versteckt sich ein Erdbeer-Tag, auf den ich mit weißem Embossingpulver "hello" geschrieben habe.

Under the image there is a strawberry tag hidden on which I embossed the word "hello".

Also this week starts off with a new challenge over at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. "Bling bling" is our new theme, so make your card bling - just a bit or a lot that's up to you.

Ich habe wieder eines der Motive von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet: Ice Cream Butterfly. Ein tolles Motiv für den Sommer, darum auch der Text, den ich mit dem PC geschrieben habe.
Der Schmetterling hat eine Ladung Stickles abbekommen, außerdem habe ich den Glitzer-Brad und ein paar Glitzersteine mit verarbeitet.

I used one of the cute images by Belles'n'Whistles again: Ice Cream Butterfly. A great image for any summer-ish card so I printed a matching saying with my home printer.
I covered the butterfly with Stickles, added the rhinestone brad and a few small rhinestones as well.

Es ist Samstag und somit gibt es eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr diese Gießkanne machen könnt.

It's saturday and that means there is a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. This week we show you how to make such a watering can.

Ich habe dafür das Motiv Planting Some Love von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet, denn es paßt einfach perfekt. Die Gießkanne habe ich aus bedrucktem Cardstock gemacht, ein etwas Gras, ein paar Blätter, ein Schnörkel und ein Spaten-Charm reichten als Verzierung.

I used Planting Some Love by Belles'n'Whistles since this image is perfect for that little watering can. The watering can itself has been made from thick printed cardstock, as decoration just some grass, a few leaves, a swirl and a charm were enough.
