Nach einem Tag Pause möchten wir Euch heute den letzten Stempel aus der neuen Reihe vorstellen: Water Lily. 

After a day of pause we want to present you the last stamp of this new release today: Water Lily.

Diesmal hat sich die kleine Meerjungfrau an die Oberfläche getraut und genießt die warmen Sonnenstrahlen und den Duft der Seerosen.

Pink war meine erste Wahl - schon allein wegen der Seerosen... Und so sind auch Papiere und Embellishments, neben etwas weiß und blau und braun, hauptsächlich pink ausgefallen.

Und natürlich durften Glitzer und Perlen auch diesmal nicht fehlen.

Today the little mermaid took a trip out of the water and is now enjoying the warm sun and the smell of the water lillies.

Pink was my first choice of color here - also because of the water lilies. And so also my papers and embellishments are mainly pink, beside some white and blue and brown.

And of course glitter and pearls were a must also here.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Erstmal Entschuldigung - wir bekommen neue Fenster und mit dem Blog Hop gestern bin ich einen Tag später dran als gewöhnlich, Euch meine Karte für die neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy Challenges zu zeigen. Unser Thema dort lautet "hearts and kraft", also Herzen und packpapierfarben.

First of all I have to say sorry - we are getting new windows and with the blog hop yesterday I am one day late showing you my card for our new challenge over at Whiff Of Joy Challenges. 

Our new theme is "hearts ans kraft".

Ich habe hier einen älteren Stempel von Whiff Of Joy verwendet: "Melinda Blowing Kisses". Auch er ist einer meiner all-time-favourites. Ich habe das Motiv auf kraftfarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und mit ein wenig Copic ganz leicht und nur an den Rändern coloriert. Für die Flügel habe ich Stickles verwendet.

I used an older stamp by Whiff Of Joy here: Melinda Blowing Kisses. Even this is one of my all time favourites. I stamped the image on kraft cardstock and just used a bit of color at the outer edges to color the image. I put some Stickles on her wings.

Auch heute möchten wir Euch wieder eine Meerjungfrau präsentieren:

We want to present you another mermaid today:

Das ist Aqua Marina. Und auch wenn sie heute alleine unterwegs ist, hat sie sich schick gemacht. 

Die Perlen in den Haaren glitzern und auch die Flosse hat eine extra Ladung Glimmer abbekommen und funkelt mit den Diamanten auf der Karte um die Wette. 

Türkis war hier für mich die naheliegendste Farbe und so habe ich verschiedene Papiere in diesem Ton herausgesucht. Und auch die Deko mußte passen, nur etwas Weiß lockert das ganze auf.

This is Aqua Marina. And even if she hasn't brought a friend today, she thought dressing up wouldn't hurt. So the pearls in her hair are shimmering and her fishtail got an extra load for glitter and is now shining like the diamonds on the card.

Turquoise was my first choice of color for this image and so I went with different papers of this color. And also the decoration needed to be turquoise, I just added some white.

Auch dieser Stempel wird ab Freitag bei Funkykits erhältlich sein.

Wie bereits gestern gesagt, dreht sich ja alles um Meerjungfrauen. Und das heutige Motiv heißt "Ocean's Gift":

As I said yesterday, all those new images are about mermaids. And today's image is called "Oceans's Gift":

Man kann die Aufregung über den tollen Fund und die Spiegelung des Glitzerns der Perle in den Augen der kleinen Meerjungfrau sehen. Ist das Motiv nicht toll - und das Seepferd ist einfach zu süß. Klar, dass die Nixe die Aufregung über den Fund teilen muß. 

Ich habe auch hier etwas Unterwasser-Feeling in in meine Coloration eingearbeitet. Sandiger Boden, Wasserpflanzen und die Strahlen des Lichts, das von der Wasseroberfläche hinunterscheint. 

Die Meerjungfrau hat sich wieder mit Perlen im Haar hübsch gemacht - und natürlich brauchte die Perle und auch die Schwanzflosse wieder eine ordentliche Portion Glitzer.

You can see her excitement about this found and a reflexion of the sparking pearl in this mermaids eyes. Isn't this image great? And the little sea horse is just too cute. Of course the little mermaid has to share the excitement about her found with a friend.

I wanted to look this image like a real under water scene again. So I added a sandy ground, water plants and the beams of the sunlight coming from out of the water.

The mermaid put some shiny pearls in her hair again - and of course the big pearl and the fishtail needed some stickles to sparkle.

Und nun aber zum Motiv, das wir Euch heute zeigen möchten: "under the sea". Die ganze Reihe der neuen Stempel dreht sich ja rund um das Thema Meerjungfrauen und diese hier ist mit ihrem Freund, der Schildkröte, unterwegs, die Weiten des Ozeans zu erkunden.

But now here's the image we are going to present to you today: "under the sea". All the stamps of this new release are about mermaids and this one is out with her friend the turtle to explore the big blue sea.

Ich finde die Haare klasse, und die schönen Perlen sind genau die richtige Deko für eine Meerjungfrau. Und ordentlich Glitzer darf auf der Schwanzflosse natürlich nicht fehlen.

I love her hair and those pearls in her hair are the perfect jewelery for a little mermaid. And of course she needed some glitter on her fishtail!

Passend zum Thema habe ich die Karte in Türkitönen gehalten, verziert mit kleinen Perlen, etwas Glitzer, einer "Wellenbordüre" und für den Text die kleinen Buchstabenperlen.

Matching the mermaid theme I went with different tones of turquoise, decorated with some pearls, glitter, a "wave border" and some letter pearls for the text.

Die Stempel werden ab Freitag, 10.00 Uhr UK-Zeit, also 11.00 Uhr MEZ, zu bestellen sein - natürlich nur bei Funkykits.

The stamps will be on sale friday, 10 am UK time - of course at Funkykits only. And until then we will present you a new image each day.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 28. Juli 2012

Wunderschönen Samstag!
Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge für Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins - und dann gehen wir erstmal in einen wohlverdienten Urlaub. Weiter geht es dann erst mit der August-Challenge, die dann ein klein wenig verspätet am 1. September starten wird.

In der Arbeit meines Mannes brauchten sie eine Baby-Karte. Klar, dass es eine Mädchen-Karte sein mußte, wo ich doch lauter Jungskarten hier auf Vorrat habe. ;)
Ich habe hier das süße Motiv Sweet Dreams von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet.
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia, die Buchstaben-Perlen und die Body-Stanze von Whiff Of Joy. Und auch etwas Glitzer durfte nicht fehlen.

At my husband's work they needed a baby card. Of course it had to be a girly one - since I have tons of boys ones laying around. ;)
I used the cute image Sweet Dreams by Belles'n'Whistles.

Cute Card Thursday - distressing

Guten Morgen, Ihr Lieben!
Ein neuer Donnerstag - eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "distressing".

Happy hello everyone!
A new thursday - a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. And our new theme is "distressing".

 Eine ehemalige Klassenkameradin meiner Großen wird in Kürze 18 - und bekommt von Ihren Eltern und Großeltern ein Auto geschenkt. Ihre Mutter hat mich darum gebeten, eine Geburtstagskarte zu machen. "Irgendwas mit Auto"... Ich habe daraufhin Edwins Summer Car von Magnolia coloriert und diese Karte gewerkelt.
Ich habe hier gleich mehrere Distressing-Arten kombiniert: Crackle Paint, ein paar Papiere wurden mit Sandpapier bearbeitet und einige anderen an den Rändern aufgerauht.
Der Text ist mit dem PC geschrieben.

A former classmate of my oldest is turning 18 in a few days. This is the age when you are allowed to drive a car on your own. This girl is getting a car from her parents and grandparents and so her mom asked me to make a matching birthday card for her. "Just anything with a car".... So I colored Edwins Summer Car by Magnolia and made this card.
I used different kinds of distressing on this one: Crackle Paint, sandpaper and an edge distresser tool.
The saying is computer generated and means "congratulations ...and save driving".

a sassy tuesday

Schönen Dienstag Euch allen!
Heute gibt es, wie jeden Dienstag, eine Sugar Nellie Karte für Euch. Und weil endlich der Sommer herausgekommen ist, ist sie besonders sommerlich ausgefallen.

Happy tuesday to all of you!
Today as every tuesday I am sharing a Sugar Nellie Card with you. And since summer seems to finally have arrived it is a summer-ish one.

Butterflies and Pigtails ist der Name des Stempels. Und ich finde ihn perfekt passend zu einem Sommertag, an dem die Schmetterlinge durch den Garten fliegen.
Farblich bin ich eher bei gedeckten Tönen geblieben, als die knallig-bunten Sommerfarben auszupacken. Aber ich finde, das macht gar nichts.
Um eine Verbindung zwischen Motiv und Karte zu erreichen, habe ich die Schmetterlinge aus dem Motiv aufgegriffen und sie in gestanzter Form auf der Karte wiederholt. Genauer gesagt ist dort nur ein Schmetterling zu finden, dieser dafür aber besonders schön. Ich habe ihn einmal aus blauem Cardstock gestanzt, den ich dann mit Stickles überzogen habe, und anschließend noch einmal aus weißem Vellum, auf das ich in gelb einen Schmetterling gestempelt habe.
Der Text ist von Whiff Of Joy.

Butteflies and Pigtails is the name of this stamp. And I think it's showing the perfect summer day, on which those butterflies are fluttering around.
Colorwise I went with some muted tones instead of those bright summer colors. But I don't think that isn't summer-ish enough.
To get a connection between the image and the card I repeated the butterflies on the image as an embellishment on my card. Therefor I punched a butterfly from blue cardstock that I covered with Stickles afterwards, and also punched another one from white vellum on which I stamped a butterfly with yellow ink before.
The saying is by Whiff Of Joy.

Schon wieder geht eine neue Woche an den Start - und mit ihr natürlich auch eine neue Challenge bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal dreht sich alles um Wimpel.

Another week has started - and of course it started with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week it's all about banners.

Ich habe hier auf meinem Banner Henry am Schaukelpferd aus dem neusten Release von Whiff Of Joy verwendet. Auch wenn sich bei den neuen Stempeln alles um Jungs dreht, ich finde, dieses Motiv ist auch prima für Mädels geeignet. Ich habe mit Scrabble-Buchstaben das Wort Playtime geschrieben und weiter unten geht der Text mit "should be all the time" weiter. Auf das gestreifte Papier im Hintergrund habe ich mit hellbrauner Farbe noch kleine Elefanten gestempelt. Ich glaube, Ihr müßt das Bild durch einen Klick größer machen, um es zu erkennen.

I used Rocking Horse Fun from the newest release from Whiff Of Joy here. Even if the new stamps are all about boys, I think this image is also great for girls. I used those little wodden letters to write the word playtime and the text goes on with "should be all the time". I also stamped some little elephants on the striped background paper. I think you have to klick on the pic to make it larger to be able to see them.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Auch an diesem Sonntag-Morgen gibt es eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Paper doilies, also Papierspitzen, sollt Ihr diesmal bitte verwenden.

Also this sunday starts off with a new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. And this week we ask you to use paper doilies.

Ich habe eine Spitze als Grundgerüst für meine Karte verwendet und darum eine runde Karte gemacht. Natürlich ist noch eine runde Karte darunter...
Ich bin absolut urlaubsreif, habe aber auf der anderen Seite keine Ahnung, wohin unsere Reise diesmal gehen soll. Darum bin ich zumindest auf meiner Karte ein wenig um die Welt gereist. Und obwohl Vespas ja eher nach Italien gehören, habe ich im Hintergrund einen ausgestanzten Eifelturm gesetzt. Vielleicht auch deshalb, weil Poststempel und Briefmarke beide mit Paris beschriftet sind. Und bis aufs Motiv bin ich farblich bei schön nostalgischen Brauntönen geblieben.

I used a large paper doily as my background and so I decided to make a round card. Of course there is a round "real" card underneath the doily.
I am really ready for some vacation but we have no idea yet where to go this year. So I went on a little trip while making my card. And even if those Vespas belong to Italy I put a die cut Eifel Tower on the card. Maybe because both, the stamp and the postage stamp (he he, how do you make a difference in those in english?) have written Paris on them. And beside the image I went with a nostalgic range of browns.

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins - und diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr diese 3D-Karte fertigen könnt, die sogar flach zusammengelegt und in einen Umschlag gesteckt werden kann.

It's time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins - and this week we share a tutorial for how to make one of these 3D cards, that can even pulled flat and put in an envelope.

Ich mußte unbedingt die neuen Stempel von Magnolia einweihen und habe hier den Hiking Background und die Tilda with Daisy and Mushrooms kombiniert. Die Baumstanzen sind von Magnolia und Marianne Design, die Pilze von Joycrafts, die Gräser von Martha Stewart und Magnolia. Und der Adler ist eigentlich eine Taube von Whiff of Joy.

I just had to use some of the new Magnolia stamps and combined the Hiking Background with Tilda with Daisy and Mushrooms here. The tree dies are by Magnolia and Marianne Designs, mushrooms by Joycrafts, grass by Martha Stewart and Magnolia. And the eagle I added is made using the dove die by Whiff Of Joy.

Ich habe hier die Autumn Tilda with Pencils aus der neuesten Kollektion verwendet und eine Schulanfangskarte gemacht. Dafür habe ich nur Papiere mit Buchstaben oder Zahlen darauf benutzt. Für den Kontrast habe ich schwarzen Cardstock zum Matten verwendet.

I went with cute Autumn Tilda with Pencils from Magnolia's newest collectionhere and made a back to school card. I only used papers with letters or numbers on for this card and to add some contrast I went with black cardstock for the matting.

Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday und unser neues Thema lautet "fairy nice". Also, laßt die Feen flattern...

Hello and happy thursday!

It's time for a new challenge over at Cute Card Thursday and our new theme is "fairy nice". So let those fairies flutter around....

Ich hatte bei einem Workshop angefangen, diese Summer Flower Tilda zu colorieren und sie für diese Karte fertig coloriert. Eigentlich bin ich ja eher für die sanften Farben bei Feen aber das kräftige Türkis mit dem Grün finde ich prima. Ordentlich Glitzer auf den Flügeln durfte nicht fehlen und natürlich Blumen als Deko. Und damit sie nicht so alleine ist, habe ich ihr noch einen Schmetterlings-Freund an die Seite gestellt.

I started coloring this Summer Flower Tilda at a workshop recently and finished her for this card. Usually I love soft colors with fairies but that bright turquoise with the green is wonderfully for her as well. Of course I had to add a bunch of Stickles to her wings - and flower as decoration. And to not make her feel lonely I gave her a butterfly friend.

Ganz vornehm sitzt sie mit ihren Freunden am gedeckten Kaffeetisch und genießt eine Tasse heißen Tee. Bei dem Wetter draußen kann man den auch wirklich brauchen!

Ich habe rot und rosa mit etwas braun und weiß verwendet. Mir gefällt diese Kombi für das Motiv richtig gut. Und passend zum Motiv habe ich einen kleinen Teebeutel mit eingearbeitet...

Für meine Karte habe ich den neuen Sketch von Whiff Of Joy Challenges verwendet:

I went with a pink and red combo combined with some white and brown. I really like this combo for this image. And matching the theme I also added a tiny tea bag to the card...
