Es ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Diesmal haben wir "Masking" als Thema gewählt.

Hello everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under. This fortnight we picked "masking" as our theme.

Ich habe hier den Summerhill Background, Napoleon und Sneaky Tilda zu einer Sommerszene zusammengesetzt. Außerdem habe ich zwei der neuen Papiere verwendet und der Zaun, der Wegweiser, die große Form, mit der ich die Kartenform gestanzt habe, und die Blätter sind 4 der neuen Cutting Dies.

Der große Schmetterling ist eine Stanze von Whiff Of Joy.

Ansonsten habe ich nur ein paar Blumen und etwas breite Spitze verwendet und die Karte war fertig.

I used the Summerhill Background, Napoleon and Sneaky Tilda to create this little summer scene. I also used two of the new papers and the fence, the sign, the big shape that I used to cut the card shape, and those leaves are 4 of the new cutting dies.

The big butterfly is a cutting die by Whiff Of Joy.

Then I only added a few flowers and some wide lace and the card was done.

Schon wieder ist eine Woche vergangen und das bedeutet, es ist schon wieder Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins!

Diesmal zeigen wir Euch diese Karte - aber es ist nicht nur eine Karte. Ein Teil der Front ist als Hängerchen gearbeitet und lässt sich abnehmen. So ist das Karte und kleines Geschenk in einem.

Another week has passed and that means it's already time for another issue of Stempeleinmaleins! This week we show you this type of card - but wait, it's not just a card! A part of the front is made extra and can be taken off and used as a sign. So this is a card and a little gift all in one.

Ich habe eine Babykarte gemacht - und das Hängerchen kann dann als Türschild fürs Kinderzimmer verwendet werden.

Darauf sitzt Tilda mit Dexter the Dragon - bei dem Motiv finde ich sogar die Knubbelfüße süß... ;)

I made a baby card - and the sign can be used on the door of the child's room later.

I used Tilda with Dexter the Dragon here - and with this image I even like those clumpy feet... ;)

So sehen Karte und Hängerchen "getrennt" voneinander aus.

Unter dem Hängerchen ist dann Platz für einen Gruß.

Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy! Und passend zur Jahreszeit und dem Wetter heißt es diesmal "Frühling".

Time for a new challenge at  Whiff Of Joy. And right for this time of year and the sunny weather outside we picked the theme of "spring" for you.

Ich habe hier einen der neusten Stempel von Whiff Of Joy verwendet: "Frühlings Bienen" aus der Einfach-Nur-Maya-Reihe. Ja, wenn man die ersten Bienen draußen fliegen sieht, dann ist der Frühling da! 

Kennt Ihr das - Ihr habt ein bestimmtes Ding seit Ewigkeiten und es fristet ein einsames Dasein ohne verwendet zu werden bis dann der eine Moment kommt, an dem genau dieses Ding die perfekte Wahl ist? So ging es mir mit den Honigwaben im Hintergrund. Eigentlich ist es ein Hasendraht-Die und ich hatte ihn in 2 Jahren nicht ein einziges Mal verwendet. Bis zu dieser Karte, denn hier ist er als Honigwaben-Hintergrund perfekt!

Außerdem kamen die Petaloo Wine Sprays in Creme zum Einsatz.

I used one of the newest stamps by Whiff Of Joy: Spring Bees from the Simply-Maya-Range. Yes, when I see the first bees flying around I know spring is here!

Do you know that - you have a crafting item lying around since ages and it is totally neglected - until this day when just this one item is the perfect choice for you project? This is what happened to me when making the card. The background is usually a chicken wire die and I hadn't used it since the 2 years I have it. Until today because I think it is just the perfecct honey comb background!

Saying and matching punch are by SU.

Zeit für die  neue Challenge beim Stempeleinmaleins - wie immer mit einem Sketch für Euch...

Hello everyone!

Time for the new challenge over at Stempeleinmaleins - as always with a sketch for you to follow...

Meine Mädels werden heute 13 Jahre alt - oh Gott, wo ist die Zeit hini?! - und ich habe den Sketch verwendet, um ihre Geburtstagskarten danach zu werkeln. 

Die süße Schnecke ist von Lelo-Design - süß und trotzdem nicht zu verspielt, denn die Karte soll ja dem Teenager-Alter gerecht werden. ;)

My twin girls are turning 13 today - oh my god, where does time go?! - and I used the sketch to make their birthday cards.

The cute snail is by Lelo-Design - cute but not too baby-ish because the card should fit their teen-age. ;)

Bei uns war es von Anfang an so, dass Natascha alles in rot und Pia alles in blau hatte. So konnten wir bereits im Babyalter Dinge wie Schnuller etc. unterscheiden. Und das ist bei manchen Dingen bis heute geblieben. So ist also Natascha's Karte in rot und rosa gehalten. Mit rotem Gras... künstlerische Freiheit! Dahinter versteckt sich noch ein filigraner Zaun.

In our house it has always been that Natascha got red things and Pia blue ones. This way we were able to know who things like pacifiers etc. belonged to. And it's still like this with some things. And so Natascha got a red and pink card. With red grass... well, it's art! LOL Behind the grass there is an elegant fence.

Und Pia hat eine fast gleiche Karte in blau und türkis bekommen.

And Pia got a quite similar card in blue and turquoise.

Ist es nicht faszinierend, wie der gleiche Sketch mit den selben Verzierungen in anderen Farben doch ganz anders aussehen kann?

"Close Knit Friendship" ist der Name dieses Motives - und ist es nicht goldig? Ich liebe den Gesichtsausdruck des Schafes!

"Close Knit Friendship" is the name of this image - and isn't it adorable? I love the expression on the sheep's face!

Ich habe Maya ins Gras gesetzt und dementsprechend auch dahinter eine Grasbordüre sowie dieses hohe "Gras" mit den Herzen obenauf als Deko verwendet. 

Der Text ist ebenfalls von Whiff Of Joy - aus dem schon etwas älteren Textset "You are my Hero".  Aber der Text passt so schön zum Motiv.

I drew some grass around Maya and the sheep and so I also added a grass border behind the image and that tall "grass" with the hearts on top as decoration.

The saying is by Whiff Of Joy also - from an older sentiment set "You are my Hero". I just thought it fit the images wonderfully.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 19. April 2014

Diese Woche zeigen wir Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins eine Anleitung für diese süße Faltschachtel mit Klappdeckel, für die Nicola heute unser Gastdesigner ist.

This week we at Stempeleinmaleins show you a tutorial for this box with a flap, that Nicola agreed to be our guestdesigner for.

Die Box ist schön klein und somit ideal für alle Arten von Süßigkeiten.

Vorne habe ich einen Schmetterling und einen Text von SU aufgebracht. Der Schmetterling passt so schön zum Designpapier.

The box is kind of small and so it's perfect for any kinds of sweets.

On the front I added a butterfly and a saying by SU. The butterfly fits so great the designer's paper I used.

 

Ich habe auch noch einen Griff oben angebracht - nicht unbedingt zum Tragen geeignet, aber zum Öffnen des Deckels. 

To the top I added a handle - not really for carrying the box but for opening it more easy.

Und wenn man die Klappe oben öffnet, dann erscheint eine zusätzliche Klappe, hinter er man dann schon einen Blick auf den Inhalt erhaschen kann.

And if you open the flap there is an extra front. Behind this you can get a peak at the content of the box.

Von den Boxen werde ich auf jeden Fall noch mehr machen, denn die passen immer!

I will defintely make more of these because they fit any occasion!

Osterdeko...

Heute möchte ich Euch noch die Osterdeko zeigen, die ich mit Schneiddateien von SVGCuts gemacht habe. Ich weiß, Ostern ist schon fast vorbei, aber ich möchte sie Euch nicht vorenthalten. Und außerdem  möchte ich damit bei der Frühlings-Challenge von SVG Cuts mitmachen, die am Freitag endet...

Today I want to share the easter decoration I made using cutting files from SVGCuts. I know, easter has nearly gone but I just wanted to share this. And I also want to join the spring challenge from SVG Cuts that will end on friday...

Wir haben viele weiße Möbel im Vintage Look in unserem Haus und so habe ich auch für meine Deko hauptsächlich weiß verwendet. Aber im Frühling muss etwas Pastell schon auch dabei sein und so habe ich rosa und gelb dazu kombiniert.

We have a lot of white vintage looking furniture in our house and so this is the color that I used mostly for my project. But for spring I just had to add some pastell pink and yellow.

Ich habe aus Birkenzweigen aus dem Garten ein kleines Nest geflochten, dekoriert mit zwei Federn. Und darin haben dann die beiden Eier und der süße Hase Platz gefunden.

I used some birch branches from our garden to wave this little nest that I also decorated with two feathers. And inside this the two eggs and the cute bunny found their place.

Die Eier sind mit Designpapier beklebt, zusätzlich habe ich etwas Spitze und eine Schleife aus Papier aufgesetzt - die selbe, die auch der Hase um den Hals trägt.

The eggs have been covered with designer's paper, I also added some lace and a box from paper which is cut using the same file like for the bow the bunny is wearing.

Der Hase bekam Augen aus schwarzen Brads. Außerdem hbe ich ihm noch einen Mund aufgemalt und aus silberfarbenem Draht Schnurrhaare hinzugefügt. 

Ohren, Bauch und Füße sind mit rosafarbenem Polka Dot Papier verzert.

The bunny got some eyes from black brads. I also drew him a mouth and used silver wire to add some whiskers.

Ears, belly and feet have been covered with light pink polka dot paper.

Um den Rand des Tortenständers habe ich etwas rosafarbene Spitze gewickelt und mit einer Schleife geschlossen. Die beiden Banner mit dem Texts sind gestempelt, mit der Hand zurechtgeschnitten und zusammen mit einigen Blumen oben am Vogelkäfig angebracht.

I used some pink lace to decorate the cake stand and closed it with a bow.

The two banners on top have been stamped and hand cut and together with some white flowers gone on top of the cage.

In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Euch allen verspätet aber nicht weniger herzlich fröhliche Ostern!

So, here's wishing all of you  little belated but from the heart a happy easter!

Hier bin ich wieder mit der angekündigten zweiten Vorschau auf ein neues Whiff Of Joy Motiv.

Here I am back with the promised second preview on those new Whiff Of Joy images.

Ist die Eule nicht süß? Ich finde sie super für Jungs-/Männer-Karten. Da tut man sich ja manchmal etwas schwer mit der Motiv-Auswahl. Aber mit "Freund Eule" sollte man immer richtig liegen!

Isn't this owl a real cutie? I think it's great for those boys/men in our lives. Picking the right image for men cards is sometimes tricky. But with "Cherished Friend Owl" I guess you're always on the save side!

Aber nicht nur das Motiv ist eine Vorschau - auch der Tag, auf dem ich sie aufgebracht habe! Es ist die größte Stanzschablone in einem Set von 5 Tags, die sich auch super übereinander kleben lassen. Und mal ehrlich, Tags braucht man doch immer, oder?

But not only the image is a preview -  also the tag that I put the owl on! It's the largest die of a set of 5 that can be put on top of each other. And honestly, a tag is something we always need, right?

Today starts the new Whiff Of Joy challenge with the theme "use lace". If you use a lace border or a doily is up to you...

Ich habe mich für beides entschieden und diese kleine Box damit gefertigt. Solche Verpackungen kann man nie genug auf Vorrat haben.

I used both and made this little box. I think you can never have enough of those little gift boxes ready for last minute gifts.

Und auf meiner Box gebe ich Euch gleich noch eine Vorschau auf einige der neuen Produkte, die es ab 20. April bei Whiff Of Joy geben wird: der Text und natürlich das Motiv!

And on my box I also give you a sneak peak on some of the new products that will be available from april 20th over at Whiff Of Joy: the saying and of course the image!

"Für immer zusammen Kitty + Maya" heißt dieses süße Motiv. Und ich finde, es passt für so viele Gelegenheiten - und nicht nur für Katzenliebhaber.

Es ostert sehr...

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ja, Ostern steht vor der Tür - und deshalb habe ich für meinen heutigen Post auf dem Copic Marker Europe Blog ein Osternest gebastelt.

Das süße Motiv ist wie unschwer zu erkennen ist von Saturated Canary und heißt Egg-stra Special. Die Süße hat noch einige zu tun, die weißen Eier alle bunt zu bemalen, aber das wird sie schon rechtzeitig hinbekommen. ;)

Yes, easter is close - and so I made an easter basket for my post over at Copic Marker Europe Blog today.

The cute image is - I know you knew it when you first looked at it - by Saturated Canary and is called Egg-stra Special. 

This little cutie will be busy to color in all those white eggs in time, but I'm sure she will do it in time.

Und natürlich habe ich das Nest für Euch gefüllt - bedient Euch, es ist genug für alle da! ;)

And of course I filled this basket with some yummy treats for you - feel free to grab some chocolat, there's enough for everyone! ;)

 So, und wenn wir jetzt schon beim Thema Ostern sind, möchte ich Euch noch die Kleinigkeit zeigen, die ich für meine Kollegen in der Arbeit gemacht habe. Ich gehe morgen das letzte Mal bevor es dann für ein paar Tage in einen wohlverdienten Urlaub geht.

And since we are talking about easter I also want to show the little easter treats I  made for my co-workers. I will be at work for the last time tomorrow before I will stay home for a few days of vacation.

Ich habe hierfür die Eier-Box vom Stempeleinmaleins gebastelt. Damit das echte Osterei auch gut aufgehoben ist, habe ich den Einsatz etwas niedriger gemacht.

Die Hasen- und Tulpenstanze sind Errungenschaften von der Stempelmesse in Stuttgart und den Hasen wollte ich noch unbedingt verwenden, bevor er wohl für das nächste Jahr erstmal in der Schublade verschwindet...

I made the egg box from our tutorial over at Stempeleinmaleins. To transport the real easter egg safely I made the inner part a little lower.

The rabbit and the tulip dies are two of the things I bought at the stamp fair in Stuttgart last weekend and I really wanted to use this rabbit because I think it will go in my drawer until next easter is coming close...

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 13.04.2014

Heute gibt es die neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Und diese Woche zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr die Card-in-a-Box machen könnt, die derzeit auf vielen Blogs zu sehen sind.

Today our new issue of Stempeleinmaleins goes life. And this week we show you how to make those Card-in-a-Box that are showing up everywhere in Blogland lately.

Da Ostern ja immer näher rückt, habe ich meine Karte mit einer als Osterhasen verkleideten Lelo-Schnecke dekoriert. Der 3D-Effekt der Karte ist genial - und ich habe im Hintergrund Zaun und Vögel sowie vorne und auf der vorletzten Lage Gras und kleine Tulpen angebracht. Und dazwischen schwirren noch zwei kleine Schmetterlinge, mit einem Streifen Transparency frei in der Luft schwebend aufgeklebt.

Die vordere Lasche enthält den Text.

Since Easter is coming close I used one of the cute snails by Lelo, dressed as an easter bunny. I love the 3D effect of these cards - and I used a fence and birds on the back panel, the first and third layers are decorated with grass and little tulips. And in between I added two little butterflies, that are flying around since I used a strip of transparency to add them.

The front flap holds the saying.

Auf die seitlichen Laschen habe ich nochmal Tulpen auf kleinen Kreisen angebracht.

Auf dem Bild oben sieht man die einzelnen Lagen - leider lässt sich diese Karte nicht so einfach fotografieren.

To the side flaps I added some tulips again, put on little circles.

On the picture above you can see the single layers - it's just that this type of card is not so easy to take a picture of.

Und hier sieht man die Karte noch zusammengeklappt - das ist nämlich das geniale daran, sie lässt sich komplett flach zusammen legen und passt so in einen ganz normalen Umschlag.

And here you can see the card put flat - that's the great thing about it. I can be folded flat and fits in an regular envelope.

Heute gibt es die neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. Diesmal mit einem Sketch und der Option "Easter Treats". 

Hello everyone!

Today there's the new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. This fortnight we have a sketch for you to follow and an optional extra of "easter treats".

Ich habe den Sketch diesmal auf diesem Display angewandt - wer sagt, dass Sketche nur auf Karten funktionieren? Vor einem großen Osterei sitzt Tilda verkleidet als Hase und wartet darauf, endlich Leckereien verstecken zu können. 

I used the sketch on this display - who said, sketches only work on cards? Tilda, dressed as a bunny, is sitting in front of a giant easter egg waiting to be able to hide some easter treats.

Naja, und weil es eben Easter Treats als Option gab, habe ich den Display auch mit was Leckerem gefüllt....

Farblich passt die Schoki so gar nicht zum Projekt, aber die Grünen waren aus! 

Das Display steht nun auf meinem Schreibtisch und wer vorbeikommt, darf sich bedienen... ;)

Well, and since the optional extra is easter treats I filled the display with some yummy treats...

I know, the chocolat so don't matches my color scheme but the green ones were gone when I wanted to buy them!

The display is now sitting on my table and whoever comes by can take some.... ;)
