Magnolia Down Under - banners & flags

Schönen Sonntag Morgen!
Irgendwie ballt sich dieses Wochenende alles... Macht nichts, dafür gibts mehr zu sehen! Diesmal nun mein Beitrag zu unserer neuen Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under. "Banners & flags" ist unser neues Thema. Und darum habe ich diese Girlande gemacht.

I have a bunch of cards to show you this weekend, right? But it's okay, so you don't get bored. LOL This time I am sharing my creation for our new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. "Banners & flags" is the theme - and so I made this boy banner.

Man, das ist ganz schön schwer zu fotografieren - entweder war der Hintergrund hässlich (soll ja nicht all zu sehr vom Motiv ablenken), oder es war zu dunkel zum Fotografieren, oder... Das oben ist noch das beste Bild, das ich vom hängenden Banner hinbekommen hab. Darum hier nochmal eines liegend auf dem Tisch (wenn Ihr auf das Bild clickt, dann könnt Ihr es größer sehen):

Oh boy, this was so hard to get a picture of - either the background was ugly (don't want it to take all the attention from the banner), or it was too dark to take a picture, or... The one above was the best I could take from the banner hanging. So here I have another one of it lying on the table (if you click on the picture you'll get a larger view):

Endlich habe ich den süßen Edwin mit dem Flugzeug verwendet - und ganz jungs-typisch in blau/türkis und weiß coloriert. Etwas kräftiger als geplant, aber das paßte dann ganz gut zu den Papieren. Die Buchstaben sind mit der Cricut geschnitten und mit kleinen Punkten von Stampin'Up bestempelt.
Also Kai, ich hoffe, es wird ein Junge! ;)

I finally used the cute Edwin with his plane - and colored him typical boy-ish in blue/turquoise and white. It turned out a bit brighter than planned but it matched great with the papers. The letters have been cut with my Cricut and I stamped little spots by Stampin'Up on them.
So Kai, I hope it will be a boy! ;)

The card I am going to share now was made for the Copic Marker Europe blog.

Ich wollte die süße Jester Tilda von Magnolia schon längst verwenden, aber irgendwie war immer etwas anderes oder sie paßte nicht zum Thema oder.... Aber jetzt!
Da ich nicht weiß, ob es eine "offizielle" Farbkombi für Hofnarren gibt, es mit zu quietschigen Farben ja eh nicht habe, habe ich grün und blau kombiniert. "Grün und Blau ist dem Hanswurst seine Frau" hieß es immer, das kann für einen Hofnarren doch nur passen, oder?
Dazu habe ich etwas gelb-gold kombiniert, sogar zwei farblich und thematisch passende Glöckchen habe ich mit auf die Karte gepackt. Der Text ist dann mit dem Computer geschrieben.

I wanted to use the cute Jester Tilda by Magnolia since ages but well, I had to use something else or it didn't match the theme or... But now I did!
I don't know if there is any "official" color combo for a Jester's costume but since I don't like too bright color combinations I went with green and blue. Here we have a saying that I can't translate but it says that green and blue are only worn by "simple people". So this can't be bad for a jester, right?
I added some golden yellow to those colors and also included two little golden jingles on the card. The saying has been printed with my computer.

Jetzt ist es nämlich doch noch passiert - da hatte ich doch glatt die falsche Karte für die Challenge hochgeladen. Der Sketch paßte ja auch gar nicht... Ihr werdet die andere Karte also bald wiedertreffen. Darum hier nun die richtige, und die Beschreibung habe ich auch "verbessert". LOL

"Wir sind eine Familie" ist der Name dieses süßen Stempels und er ist so voller Freude, erweckt Erinnerungen an gemeinsame Familienunternehmungen. Ich liebe ihn einfach.
Und der Text von Studio G war da natürlich perfekt.

"We are Family" is the name of this stamp and it is so full of happiness, bringing so many occasions and family activities back to my mind. I love it.

We at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge up for you - "spring flowers" is the theme for this week.

Ich habe hier die süße Tilda mit dem dicken Blumenstrauß verwendet. Sorry, den Namen des Stempels habe ich gerade nicht parat. Irgendwie verliert man den Überblick. LOL

Farblich bin ich für mich ganz ungewohnte Wege gegangen - pink und lila zusammen. Und auch wenn die Farben ganz zart sind - eigentlich ein No-Go für mich. Aber manchmal überkommt es mich doch.

I used this cute Tilda with her flowers here. Sorry, I don't know her name at the moment. I guess I am loosing track on all those Tildas with flowers. LOL

I went with a very unusal color combo for me - pink and purple. And even if the color tones are very light, most times this is a no-go for me. Well, but there are those days where I pick it though...

It's time for a new challenge at Whiff Of Joy - and this fortnight we have this sketch for you to follow:

Ich habe eine Kommunionkarte gemacht und dafür das Motiv "Willow mit Weihnachtskerze" verwendet. Die Ilex-Girlande auf dem Kopf und um die Kerze habe ich mit kleinen Punkten coloriert, so dass es ein wenig wie ein "normaler" grüner Kranz aussieht. Außerdem habe ich mit einem Perlenpen kleine weiße Perlen gesetzt.

I made a kommunion card using "Willow with Christmas Candle". I colored the holy leave borders on her head and around the candle with little dots to make them look like a wreath from normal green leaves. I also added some tiny white pearls using a pearl pen.

A coffee mug sleeve

Heute gibt es wieder einen Sugar Nellie Post von mir - und ich habe diesmal einen "Coffee Mug Sleeve" gemacht. Gibt es dafür ein deutsches Wort? Kaffebecherüberzug? Wie auch immer, dekorativ und praktisch ist er.

It's time for a new Sugar Nellie post by me - and this week I made a coffee mug sleeve to show you. It's nice and handy.

Als Motiv habe ich wieder eines der Simply Sassy Girls verwendet: Luv A Latte. Sie ist perfekt für so einen Überzug. Der Überzug an sich ist aus Wellkarton gemacht und mit einem Spellbinder's Label dekoriert.

As image I went with Luv A Latte from the Simply Sassy range. She's perfect for such a sleeve. The sleeve itself is made from cardstock and decorated with a Spellbinder's label.

Zwischen Karton und Spellbinder's habe ich ein Stück weißes Organzaband mit eingearbeitet.

Between the cardstock and the label I added a piece of white organza ribbon.

Auf der linken Seite habe ich das Band zu einer Schleife gebunden und mit einem Löffel-Charm verziert.

On the left of the image I made a bow from the organza and added a spoon charm.

Der Sleeve kann natürlich abgenommen und wiederverwendet werden.

Of course the sleeve can be removed and used again.

Einen wunderschönen Ostermontag, Ihr Lieben! Ich hoffe, Ihr konntet gestern alle im Kreise Eurer Lieben das Osterfest feiern und habt auch alle Eier gefunden...
Auch wenn Feiertag ist - bei Stamps&Fun=Creativity gibt es natürlich trotzdem eine neue Challenge. "Schmetterlinge" lautet unser neues Thema.

A very happy monday to all of you! I hope you had a lovely easter day yesterday with all your loved ones - and no hidden egg was forgotten...
Even if today's another holiday here in Germany - we at Stamps&Fun=Creativity have a new challenge up for you as every monday. "Butterflies" is our new theme.

Kommt Euch meine Karte irgendwie bekannt vor? Ja, ich habe nochmal den Sketch von The Sketchy Challenge verwendet und auch nochmal das süße Motiv von Kirsta Smith/Saturated Canary. Aber die Farben sind anders, und schon wirkt auch die ganze Karte anders. Aber so ist es perfekt für meine Zwillinge, nicht gleich, aber auch nicht zu unterschiedlich... Und es war schon immer so - Natascha hatte "das Rote", egal was, und Pia "das Blaue". Darum habe ich auf Pia's Karte mehr blau, hier darfür zusätzlich rot verwendet. Und die Haarfarbe meines Motives habe ich den Haaren meiner Mädels angepaßt.
Schmetterlinge findet Ihr auf dem Papier von Magnolia im Hintergrund und auch links neben dem Motiv flattert einer.

Does this card look kind of familar to you? Yes, I used our Sketch from The Sketchy Challenge again and also the cute image by Krista Smith/Saturated Canary. But I changed the colors - and this makes the whole card look different. But it's perfect for my twins - kind of the same but still different. And since Natascha always got the "red stuff" - no matter what - and Pia the blue one I used more of the blues on Pia's card and added some red to Natascha's. I also made the hair coloration match my girls.
Butterflies can be found on the background paper by Magnolia and there is one fluttering on the left of the image.

Ich habe hier seit langem mal wieder eines der süßen Motive von Hänglar benutzt. Ach, irgendwie hat man viel zu viele Stempel um allen gerecht zu werden...

Viel Deko braucht es für das Double Basket gar nicht, etwas Papier, ein Motiv und ein, zwei Blümchen reichen schon. Der Text ist von Stampin'Up.

Since a very long time I used one of the cute Hanglar images again. Well, I guess I have too many stamps to use them all as often as I should...

You don't need a lot of differente decorations for this double basket - some designer's paper, a stamped image and one or two flowers are enough. Saying is by Stampin'Up.

Hallo Ihr Lieben und schönen Gründonnerstag!
Es startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday - und diesmal lautet unser Thema "I want candy".
Ich liebe es, kleine Verpackungen für Süßigkeiten zu werkeln und darum ist für die neue Challenge diese Kleinigkeit entstanden. Ich muss gestehen, die Grundidee stammt nicht von mir. Sie ist von Stampin'T - und dort kann die Anleitung auch für 1 $ erworben werden. Da konnte ich nicht widerstehen. Das Nachbasteln hat total viel Spaß gemacht und durch die Abwandlung hat die Verpackung auch eine persönliche Note bekommen.

Today we at Cute Card Thursday have a new challenge up for you and our new theme is "I want candy".
I love to make little wrappings for candies and so I made this one for our new challenge. I have to admit that I didn't come up with this on my own - the idea is by Stampin'T and the tutorial can be downloaded from her blog for just 1 $. I couldn't resist and making this was so much fun and by making some little changes I also added my personal style to it.

Da Ihr alle wißt, wie groß ein Ferrero Rocher ist, könnt Ihr Euch sicher auch die Größe der Verpackung vorstellen. Und so war für viel Deko kein Platz. Aber ein kleiner Hase von Stampin'Up, ein Blümchen und etwas Schnur konnte ich dann doch unterbringen. Und nun wird dieses hier wohl mit ein paar Zwillingen am Sonntag den Ostertisch zieren...

Since you all know what size those Ferrero Rocher are I guess you can also imagine the size of this gift. And so there wasn't much room for decoration. But I was able to add a little bunny by Stampin'Up, a flower and some twine. And so I guess this and a few twins will be on our easter table on sunday morning...

Every tuesday it's Sugar Nellie time here on my blog - and today I want to share a card that I made using Belle, one of the cute Ribonitas, the newest addition to the Sugar Nellie family.

Als diese Karte entstande, schien draußen die Sonne und es herrschte wunderbares Frühlingswetter. Und das hat mich dazu inspiriert, richtig fröhliche Farben zu benutzen. Und darum habe ich zu blau und rot gegriffen. Mit dem kurzen Kleidchen scheint Belle aber auch geradewegs von einer Sommerwiese zu kommen...

When I made this card the sun has been shining and the weather was warm and spring-ish. And that inspired me to use bright and happy colors. So I picked red and blue.
With her short dress Belle seems to come from a blooming summer meadow....

Ich sollte eine Konfirmationskarte für einen Jungen machen. Oh je, mit 14 muss es doch cool sein! Und dann fiel mir dieses Digi von Kenny K in die Hände... Ich denke doch, das sollte passen, oder?
Ich habe mich für die Reihe schräg von oben nach unten rechts entschieden: Blumen, Spitze, Text. Und trotz der Blumen und der Spitze ist die Karte doch nicht zu verspielt für einen Jungen geworden.

I have been asked to make a konfirmation card. Oh well, if you're a boy and 14 everything needs to be cool! And then I came across this digi by Kenny K... I knew, this is the right image.
On the bingo sheet I went with the row from the top left to the bottom right: flowers, lace, sentiment. And allthough I used flowers and lace the card is still not too girl-ish.

Es ist nur noch eine Woche bis Ostern - und passend dazu haben wir heute bei Magnolia Down Under das Thema Ostern gewählt.

It's only one week left til easter - and so we at Magnolia Down Under picked the theme of easter for our new challenge.

 Beim Surfen im WWW bin ich vor einiger Zeit auf eine dieser Karten gestoßen, bei der man durch ein Drehrad den Text in der Karte ändern kann - so ähnlich, wie wir es beim Stempeleinmaleins auch schon beim Advevntscountdown hatten. Dort war ein Link zu einem Video, das ich mir zum Glück gleich angesehen habe - und dann den Computer runtergefahren hatte. Nun weiß ich weder, wie diese Kartenart heißt, noch wo ich sie gesehen hatte oder wo ich das Video angeschaut hatte. Es war auf englisch, so viel weiß ich noch.... Aber zum Glück konnte ich die Karte aus dem Gedächtnis nachmachen - nicht ganz originalgetreu, aber sie funktioniert. Und so ist diese süße Osterkarte entstanden - wahlweise mit dem Text "somebunny special", "hop, hop, hop" oder "happy easter". Und daneben sitzt Tilda als Osterhase im Gras. Eigentlich recht einfach, aber mir gefällt sie prima.

When I was surfing the www some time ago I came across one of these cards where you can change the text by turning a wheel at the side - close to the advent countdown that we had at Stempeleinmaleins about 2 years ago. Where the card I saw was posted there was also a link to a video that I went and watched right away - and then shut down the computer. Now I don't know what that card is called, who posted the one at her blog or who made the video. I remember the video was englisch...

Lucky me I was able to make one from what I remembered from watching the video. Mine might be a bit different but it works. And so made this cute easter card with the saying of "somebunny special", "hop, hop, hop" or "happy easter", whatever you like. And beside it Tilda as a bunny is sitting in the gras. It's quite simple but I really like it.

Das ist der Sketch - und die Zusatzoption lautet diesmal "Ostern".

It's saturday again and so it's time for the new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. And since it's the last saturday of the month our new challenge is starting.
This is our sketch - and the optional extra theme is "easter".

Ich habe hier eines der Digis von Tidly Inks verwendet. Irgendwie sind Osterstempel bei mir rar. Und farblich habe ich mich, für mich ganz ungewöhnlich, für gelb und rosa entschieden... Frühling eben!
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und DCWV und etwas Tortenspitze durfte auch nicht fehlen....

There is a new challenge over at The Sketchy Challenge - and this is our new sketch:

Diese Woche werden wir von Saturated Canary gesponsert und Krista hat jedem aus dem Designteam ein Digi angeboten. 

Ich möchte schon jetzt die Geburtstagskarten meiner Mädels machen. Es ist zwar noch fast 4 Wochen hin bis zum Geburtstag aber mit Ostern vor der Tür und Verwandtenbesuchen, die sich angekündigt haben, bin ich lieber vorbereitet. Und da ist mir "Making Valentines" ins Auge gestochen. Ich finde das Motiv so süß und es ist auch super für alle anderen Feierlichkeiten. 

So zeige ich Euch heute schon die erste der beiden Karten. Die zweite ist ebenfalls fertig und folgt demnächst. Jetzt hoffe ich nur noch, meine Mädels schauen nicht ausgerechnet heute auf meinem Blog vorbei...

I wanted to make my girls'  birthday cards. There are nearly 4 weeks left until their birthday but easter is near and we will have guests for 1 full week - and so I prefer to be prepared.
