Wunschpunkte!

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
For every dot you get a wish - and I have lots of these for you today. And no, this is not a special advertisement or something like that, I'm talking about the ladybug on this card, that I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today.

I made a Pocket Front Card today. The front of a note card gets folded so it creates a triangle shaped pocket in the upper half. There's room for decorations above the pocket and you can also put things into it.
My card is made from light blue cardstock. The front of the pocked and also the lower part of the card - which is on the inside and will be visible when it's opened  - are covered with a dark grey patterned paper with tiny light blue dots. That way I've "hidden" even more "wish dots" as we call them here in Germany on the card.
The text means "every dot a wish for you". I've white heat embossed it onto black cardstock, matted it red and replaced the i- and j-dots with small die cut hearts. Then I've glued it to the triangle shaped pocket only.

And here's the star of the card: the lady bug. I've colored him in with Copics and used a black Glaze Pen to cover the dots. That makes them darker and adds a beautiful shine.
Behind the pocket and also onto its top edge I've glued a layer of grass that I used the grass die from the Slim Window Dressings die set by MamaElephant for. And since I didn't want my card to turn out too colorful I simply used white cardstock to cut the grass.
The flowers that grow between the grass are also from the stamp set with the ladybug. I've colored them with Copics also, cut them out and glued them between the grass.
When you use slim strips of acetate you can add some elements that float above the top edge of the card. Here I glued some clouds, made with the Simple Puffy Clouds dies by LawnFawn and the Petit Clouds by MFT, to a few acetate strips. And since the strips are only glued to the inside of the pocket the clouds move a bit forth and back which adds a beautiful and happy touch. And since I liked that so much I decided to add also a few hearts here. Some are glued to the same acetate strips as the clouds, for some I added extra strips. I used the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die by LawnFawn to die cut the hearts since this die makes a bunch of hearts in different sizes with just one turn through the die cutting machine.
