Ostern naht...

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine weitere Karte, die ich als Gast-Designer für The Stampstop gemacht habe. Und weil Ostern ja quasi schon vor der Tür steht, habe ich eine Osterkarte gemacht und dafür diverse Stanzen aus dem Februar-Release von WaffleFlower kombiniert.

Today I have another card I made as a guest designer for The Stampstop. Easter is nearly here so I made an easter card, combining different die sets from the february release by WaffleFlower. 

 

Der Hintergrund der Karte besteht aus einem Bogen aus dem Spiffy Speckles Paper Pad von LawnFawn - hellgrün mit etwas dunkleren Spritzern. Da auf der Karte motiv-mäßig recht viel los ist, wollte ich den Hintergrund eher dezent halten. Nur eine Fläche war mir aber dann doch zu langweilig. Also habe ich ein Postage-Rechteck aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf ein weiteres Stück des selben grünen Designpapiers aufgeklebt. Der Rahmen macht die Karte interessanter ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. 

 

The background of my card is made using a sheet from the Spiffy Speckles paper pad by LawnFawn - light green with slightly darker speckles. There's quite a lot going on on my card so I wanted a more quiet background. Just a - kind of - solid background seemed too boring. So I die cut a postage rectangle from white cardstock and glued another piece of the same green patterned paper onto it. The white frame adds interest without taking over the design.

 

 Auch wenn es nicht so wirken mag - für meine Motive kamen nur 4 eher kleine Stanzensets zum Einsatz. 

Der Korb samt den Tulpen ist aus Basketful Base, der Hase aus Basketful of Bunny Duo, die Karotten und das Gras aus Postage Collage Bunny Silhouettes und alle anderen Motive aus Postage Collage Egg Hunt Icons, alle von WaffleFlower. 

Ich habe die jeweiligen Motivteile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Für den Hasen habe ich weißen Cardstock, für die Ostereier und den Stoff im Körbchen jeweils Designpapier von LawnFawn verwendet. 

Die Schleife am Ohr des Hasen ist eigentlich als Schleife um die Ostereier gedacht - ich habe das überstehende Stück sowie die herunterhängenden Band-Enden weggeschnitten und so passte er perfekt für den Hasen.

Im Basketful of Bunny Duo Set gibt es neben einem identischen, in die andere Richtung schauenden Hasen auch einen passenden Stencil zum Colorieren, mit dem sich zudem Flecken ins Fell des Hasen wischen lassen. Ich wollte aber einen weißen Hasen, da der besser zum Grün und Pink der Karte passt. Die Augen und Nase des Hasen habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze-Pen gemacht und den Mund mit einem grauen Fineliner nachgemalt.  

Die Grasbordüre habe ich für das Gras im Korb in der Mitte geteilt und dann in verschiedenen Höhen ganz vorne und ganz hinten in den Korb geschoben. Dazwischen befindet sich die Tulpen, Karotten und Ostereier.  Zwei weitere Gras-Bordüren habe ich vor und hinter den gestanzten Motiven aufgeklebt und habe dabei die hintere Bordüre aufs Gesicht gedreht, damit das Gras leicht unterschiedlich aussieht. 

 

Even if it might not look like that - for my images I only used four, quite small die sets.

The basket and tulips are from Basketful Base, the bunny from Basketful of Bunny Duo, the carrots and grass border from Postage Collage Bunny Silhouettes and all the other elements are from Postage Collage Egg Hunt Icons, all by WaffleFlower.

I die cut the different pieces from colored cardstock and shaded them with Copics. For the bunny I used white cardstock, the easter eggs and  fabric in the basket I cut from patterned paper by LawnFawn.

The bow on the bunny's head is originally a die, that creates a bow that's wrapped around the easter eggs - I cut off the overhanging piece of ribbon and the ribbon ends and then it fit perfectly on the bunny's head.

Besides a second and identical bunny, that's just facing the other direction, there's also a coloring stencil included in the Basketful of Bunny Duo set. With this stencil you can add some spots to the bunny's fur. But with the mainly pink and green I thought, a white bunny goes best. 

I used a black Glaze pen to add the eyes and nose and traced the cut in lines for the mouth with a grey fineliner. 

I cut one of the grass borders into two pieces and tucked them in different heights into the basket - one in the very front, one in the very back. Inbetween I put the tulips, carrots and easter eggs. I added two more grass borders behind and in front of the images, turning the one in the back face down to make the grass look slightly different. 

 

 Für den Text auf meiner Karte blieb mir dann gar nicht mehr viel Platz - nur ganz unten auf der Karte war ein Streifen frei. Dort habe ich dann einen Text aus dem Egg-Straordinary Easter Add-On Set von LawnFawn angebracht, der durch seine Länge die  komplette Breite der Karte füllt. Ich habe ihn mit grau-brauner Tinte auf rosafarbenen Cardstock gestempelt.

 

There wasn't much space left on my card for the sentiment - only  a strip at the bottom of the card. I added this text from Egg-Straordinary Easter Add-On by LawnFawn, that uses the whole width of the card. I stamped that with grey-ish brown ink onto pink cardstock. 

 

 Durch die vielen kleinen Motive im Körbchen ist das relativ dick geworden. Ich habe daher die Teile des Hasen, die nicht auf dem Korb aufliegen, mit 3D Tape hinterlegt. Damit habe ich auch den Text angeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich noch drei kleine Schmetterlinge, ebenfalls aus dem Postage Collage Easter Egg Hunt Icons Set, auf der Karte verteilt und drumherum einige kleine weiße Perlen aufgeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt. 

 

Since I filled the basket with so many smaller images it turned out quite thick. So I put some foam tape behind the parts of the bunny, that don't lay on top of the basket. I also used foam tape to adhere the text strip.

I added three small butterflies, again from  Postage Collage Easter Egg Hunt Icons, and put some small white pearls around them. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge im März

Das Thema der SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im März ist "monochrom". Nun mag es zwar fast ein wenig offensichtlich sein, da eine Trauerkarte zu machen, denn schwarz/weiß bzw. Grautöne ist ja meist das erste, das einem da in den Sinn kommt. Aber nach einem Todesfall in der Familie fühlte es sich für mich richtig an.

The theme of the march IG challenge by SimonSaysStamp is "monochrome". It may be a bit obvious to make a sympathy card as the entry,  because black and white or shades of grey is the first thing that might come to mind. But after the death of a familiy member it just felt right to me.

 

Ich habe hier ein Stück  hellgrauen Cardstocks für den Hintergrund verwendet und darauf dann mit hellgrauer Tinte einen Trauertext von Efco  aufgestempelt. Ich habe ihn zweimal nebeneinander gestempelt, die Naht wird von der Deko verdeckt.

Dann habe ich schwarze Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

Here I used a piece of light grey cardstock for the background and stamped a sympathy text onto it using light grey ink. I stamped it two times next to each other, the seam is covered by the decorations. 

Then I added fine splatters of black acrylic paint.

 

Die Deko habe ich mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Ich glaube, es war letztes Jahr, als Kelly Taylor eine Osterkarte gemacht hat, für die sie aus den Holzteilen des Wood Frame Builder Sets von HoneyBeeStamps ein Kreuz zusammengesetzt hat. Die Idee hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich sie hier nachgemacht habe. Ich habe die Holzteile aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Dann habe ich einen weißen Polychromo flach über den Cardstock gerieben, so dass die Maserung besser hervorkommt, und alles zu einem Kreuz zusammengesetzt.

Hinter das Kreuz habe ich einen runden Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock gesetzt, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock mit einer der Stitched Circle Frames von Create a Smile.

Außerdem habe ich ein schwarzes Band über das Kreuz gehängt. Das habe ich aus - etwas gekürzten - Teilen des Vorhangs aus dem Take the Stage Set von MFT aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Ohuhus schattiert. 

 

I attached the decorations centered onto the background. I think it was last year, that Kelly Taylor made an easter card where she used  the wooden pieces from Wooden Frame Builder by HoneyBeeStamps to put together a cross. I liked that idea so much that I copied it formy card. I cut the wooden pieces from grey cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. Then I used a white Polychromo and dragged it flat over the cardstock to bring out the pattern more and glued everything together to form the cross.

Behind the cross I put a round frame, cut from black cardstock using one of the Stitched Circle Frames by Create a Smile. 

I also draped some black "fabric" over the cross. I created that from some - a bit shortened - pieces from the curtains from Take the Stage by MFT, cutting them from dark grey carstock and shading them with Ohuhu again.

 

 Das Kreuz habe ich dann mit Lilien dekoriert, die ich in echt nicht wirklich mag. Nicht wegen Ihrer Form, sondern wegen des Geruchs. Trotzdem sind sie, neben Callas, die absoluten Trauerblumen für mich. 

Hier habe ich den Flower Lilly Stempel von WhimsyStamps benutzt und die Blüten nach dem Colorieren einzeln ausgeschnitten. Ich habe  sie  mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt, das lässt die Motive weicher erscheinen, und sie dann fast No-Line mit Ohuhus coloriert. 

Der Text darunter ist aus dem With Sympathy Stempelset von AveryElle. Mir  ist klar, dass ich hier deutschen Text im Hintergrund und englisch für  den eigentlichen Text gemischt habe. Aber mir macht das nichts, und so kleine deutsche Trauertexte fehlen mir. Die finde ich alle zu groß. Ich habe den Text hier weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I decorated the cross with lilies, that I don't really like in real life. Not because of their look but their smell. And still, besides Calla they are the perfect sympathy flowers to me.

Here I used the Flower Lilly stamp by WhimsyStamps and cut the flowers out individually after coloring them. I stamped them with grey ink, that makes the images softer, and then colored them with Ohuhu  markers. They nearly look like No-Line coloring.

The text underneath is from With Sympathy by AveryElle. I know that I mixed a german text in the background with an english main text. But it doesn't bother me, and I am really  missing small  german sympathy texts like that. These are all too large  for my taste. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock.

 

 Ich habe das Kreuz mit 3D  Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann auch die Blumen damit auf  dem Kreuz befestigt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige schwarze Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the cross with foam tape to the background and then also backed the flowers with foam tape. I added some black pearls as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Holy Aperoli

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Mein Mann hatte Geburtstag. Als ich ihn vor einiger Zeit fragte, was er sich denn wünsche,  war er wie so oft ideenlos. Weil ich aber nicht losgelassen habe, kam dann irgendwann "Sonnenschein und einen Aperol" zur Antwort. Nun, das mit dem Aperol lässt sich umsetzen, fürs Wetter kann ich nichts. Aber so war die Idee für seine Geburtstagskarte geboren.

My husband celebrated his birthday a few days ago. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday as so often he doesn't have any idea. I didn't let the question fall and so after some time I got "sunshine and an Aperol Spritz" as the answer. The Aperol Spritz is no problem but I have no control of the weather. But at least I got the idea for his birthday card from all of this.

 

Ich habe hier aus der Mitte eines Stücks türkisfarbenen Cardstocks  ein Rechteck ausgestanzt und außerdem ein weiteres Stück des selben Cardstocks zugeschnitten. Das größere Stück habe ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner gewischt und auch den Rahmen ein wenig damit gewischt. Auf den größeren Cardstock habe ich dann noch weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Den Rahmen habe ich mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

I die cut a rectangle from the center of a piece of turquoise cardstock and also cut another piece from the same color of cardstock. I inked the solid piece with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner and also added a bit of ink to the edges of the frame. Then I splattered white acrylic paint onto the larger piece of cardstock.

I adhered the frame with foam tape to the background.

 

 Für den Aperol habe ich einfach ein Weinglas aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und mit Copics und Polychromos coloriert. Dabei habe ich die Eiswürfel mit hineincoloriert. Der Strohhalm und die Orangenscheibe sind mit Stanzen von LawnFawn gemacht. Die habe ich zur ihrer Position im Glas passend coloriert und anschließend aufgeklebt. Die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

 

For the Aperol Spritz I just cut a wine glass from white  cardstock and colored it with Copics and Polychromos. I added the ice cubes during the coloring. The paper straw and the slice of orange are made using dies by LawnFawn. I colored them accordingly to their position in the glass and then glued them on. For the highlights I used a white gel pen.

 

 Hier seht Ihr den oberen Teil des Glases besser.

Auf den Cardstock hinter dem Rahmen habe ich ein paar kleine Wolken aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich mit einer Stanze von MFT eine Sonne ausgestanzt, sie mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade gewischt  und mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter den Rahmen gesetzt.

I glued a few small clouds onto the cardstock under the frame. Then I cut a sun using a die by MFT, shaded it with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade and glued it with thin foam tape behind the frame, too. 

 

 Auch an den Fuß des Glases habe ich ein Stück Orangenscheibe geklebt. Und weil für mich einfach salzige Chips zu Aperol dazugehören, durften ein paar auch auf der Karte nicht fehlen. Sie sind aus dem Snack Attack Stanzenset von HeroArts und mit den dazugehörigen Stencils coloriert. 

Für den Text habe ich mit einem Alphabetset von Create a Smile die Buchstaben aus hellorangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Wild Honey und Rustic Hinge gewischt. Die habe ich dann auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Der kleine Text darunter ist aus dem Itty Bitty Birthday Set von MFT. Ich habe ihn schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und dabei zwischen den Worten Your und Birthday eine Lücke gelassen, die später vom Glas verdeckt wird. Den Textstreifen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

 

I glued another slice of orange to the bottom of the glass. And because for me there just have to be some salty chips to go with an Aperol I needed to add some to the card, too. I made those with dies from  Snack Attack by HeroArts and colored them with the matching stencil.

For the text I used an alphabet set by Creat a Smile and cut the letters from light orange cardstock. Then I inked them with Distress Ink Wild Honey and Rustic Hinge, then adhered them to the background.

The small text under it is from Itty Bitty Birthday by MFT. I stamped it with black ink onto white cardstock, leaving a gap between the words your and birthday. This is where the stem of the glass will lay on top and cover it. I glued the text strip with thin foam tape onto the background, just under the die cut letters.

 

 Das Glas habe ich dann ebenfalls mit 3D Tape schräg auf die Karte geklebt und als Deko einige hellorange-irisierende Glitzersteine auf der Karte verteilt. Die erinnern mich ein wenig an Blubberblasen. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used foam tape again to glue the glass onto the card, adhering it a bit slanted. As decoration I added some light orange  iridescent rhinestones, that remind me of bubbles.

Then I glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Toi, Toi, Toi!

Inzwischen haben wir ja so einige Feste aus den USA - und anderen Teilen der Welt - übernommen, St. Patrick's Day wird für mich aber nie dazu gehören. Trotzdem haben mich all die Kleeblätter, die man momentan auf Karten sieht, inspiriert und ich habe sie auf diese frühlingshafte Karte gepackt.

We in Germany have taken in quite some holidays from the US - and other parts of the world. But to me St. Patrick's Day will never be one of them. But I still got inspired by all the shamrock cards I've seen lately and put some on this spring card.

 

Als Basis diente hier ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock, dessen Mitte ich per Ink Shmooshing mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean hellblau eingefärbt habe. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich einVideo gesehen, ich weiß nicht mehr von wem, in dem eine Art Knödel aus Zewa gemacht wurde, der dann in Folie gepackt wurde. Die Enden werden zu einem kleinen Griff gedreht. Damit wurde dann die mit Wasser verdünnte Tinte aufgetragen, was dann viel kontrollierter geht, als auf die herkömmliche Art. Ihr wisst ja, ich bin ein Kontrollfreak. Aber so macht auch mir das Ink Smooshing super viel Spaß - und 100 % kontrollierbar ist es trotzdem nicht.

Auf den hellblau eingefärbten Bereich habe ich nach dem Trocknen noch hellrosa Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I used a piece of watercolor cardstock as the base here and colored its center a light blue by doing ink smooshing with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. A while ago I saw a video, and once again I don't remember who made it, where they made a ball from a paper towel and covered that with thin plastic. The ends were twisted and formed some kind of small handle. This was used to apply the watered down ink and that was so much more controllable than the usual way of doing ink smooshing. You know me, I am a control freak. But done like that even I can enjoy it, and it's still not completly controllable.

After the background had dried I splattered some light pink metallic watercolor onto the blue area.

 

 Die Wiese samt dem Klee habe ich dann mit dem Lots of Luck Stempelset von SimonSaysStamp gestaltet. Ich habe alles mit verschiedenen Stempelkissen von MFT und SU auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Und weil das Gras nicht ganz bis an den Rand der Karte reichte, habe ich rechts und links noch etwas davon direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

Und dann fiel mir das 4 Leaf Clover Stempelset von ColoradoCraft in die Hände. Der kleine Hamster, der stolz das gerade gefundene vierblättrige Kleeblatt in die Luft reckt, war doch das perfekte Motiv für meine Wiese. Ich habe es mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt umd mit Copics coloriert. Ich wollte lieber eine kleine Maus statt eines Hamsters, also habe ich Grautöne gewählt und beim Colorieren die Ohren minimal vergrößert. Für die Details habe ich dann Polychromos eingesetzt, die Highlights auf allen Motiven sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Auch dieses Motiv habe ich ausgeschnitten und die Kleewiese, in der der Hamster eigentlich sitzt, dabei weggeschnitten. 

 

I created the meadow with the clovers using the Lots of Luck stamp set by SimonSaysStamp, stamping it with different inks by MFT and SU onto white cardstock. Then I cut the image out by hand. And because the grass didn't reach to the edge of my background I simply stamped some more of it directly onto the watercolor cardstock. 

And then I came across the 4 Leaf Clover set by ColoradoCraft. This little hamster, that's proudly holding up the shamrock he just found, was the perfect image for my meadow. I stamped it with the NoLine ink pad by InkOn3 and colored it with Copics. I wanted a mouse instead of a hamster, so I went with greys and made the ears a tad bit larger. For the details I brought in my Polychromos, the highlights on all the images are made with a white gel pen. I cut this image out with my scissors again, cutting off the field of clovers this hamster is originally sitting in. 

 

 Für die Texte kamen dann Produkte von Create a Smile zum Einsatz.

Der gestanzte Text ist mit dem Set Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten gemacht. Ich liebe die Bordürenstanze, deren Kante der oberen Linienführung der gestanzten Worte entspricht. Ich habe sie hier aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf dann die Worte, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. 

Die gestempelten Texte sind aus dem Set Glücksbringer und jeweils weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst. Einen dieser Texte habe ich unter den gestanzten Text, den anderen oben links auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

For the texts I used products by Create a Smile.

The die cut text is made with the Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten set. I love the border die, that matches the top edge of the die cut words. I cut it from white cardstock and glued the individual words, cut from green cardstock, onto it.

The stamped texts are from Glücksbringer and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I adhered one of them under the die cut words, the other one to the to left of the background.

 

 Die Wiese mit dem Klee ist direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Maus ist mit dünnem, der Cardstockstreifen mit dem gestanzten Texte mit dickem 3D Tape angebracht. Beim Kleeblatt, das die Maus hochhält, habe ich  nur die Blätter mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, so dass das etwas weiter hervorsteht. Und auch den Text oben auf der Karte habe ich damit aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich dann ein paar kleine rosafarbene Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the meadow with the clover directly onto the background. I backed the mouse with thin, the cardstock strip with the die cut text with thick foam tape. I put a piece of that just behind the shamrock, the mouse is holding, to make it stand up a bit more. And I also put thick foam tape behind the text strip in the top left of the card.

I added some pink clay hearts as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Winter und Frühling...

Anfang Dezember hatte ich Euch eine PopUp Tunnel Card mit einer Szene in der winterlichen Großstadt gezeigt und schon damals erwähnt, dass es mich reizt, diese Szene für jede Jahreszeit zu machen. Gesagt, getan - heute habe ich die Frühlingsvariante für Euch.

Beginning of december I shared with you a PopUp Tunnel Card with a scene from the wintery city and I already mentioned back then, that it would be fun to make the same scene for each season. Well, said and done - today I have the spring version of the card for you.

 

 Hier habe ich mal beide Karten nebeneinander fotografiert. Und Ihr seht schon, die Stadt hat sich ein wenig verändert. Nicht nur ist der Frühling eingezogen - offenbar wurden auch die großen Tannen gefällt, der Holzzaun vor dem Pfad abgebaut und sogar der Briefkasten wurde neu gestrichen... 

Aber ich wollte ja nicht meine eigene Karte nachbauen und ein wenig Veränderung darf da schon sein - und für den Sommer habe ich auch schon eine Idee, da wird dann noch mal umgestaltet...

 

Here I have a pictures of the cards side by side. You can see, that the city changed a bit. Not only has spring arrived - seems like they took down the large pine trees, the  removed the fence along the path and even the mailbox was re-painted...

But I didn't want to copy my own card and made those changes to the design. I also already have an idea for my summer version and there will be some more changes...

 

 Ich habe hier einige verschiedene Stanzensets von ScrappyTails kombiniert. Für einige Details habe ich ein wenig "um die Ecke gedacht", und weil ich keines der Ostersets von ScrappyTails habe, sind die Ostereier und die Hasen von anderen Firmen. 

Für die Basis kam das Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card Set zum Einsatz - diesmal habe ich die Teile aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Fast alle Teile auf der Karte sind mit Copics schattiert bzw. coloriert, größtenteils habe ich sie aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt. Nur die Vögel, die Hasen und die Birken habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht und komplett coloriert. 

Vom Grund her ist die Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card eher winterlich gehalten. Um meinen Birken einen Hauch von Frühling zu geben, habe ich die Pflanze aus dem Library Window PopUp Card Set verwendet. Die passt, in Teile geschnitten, super hinter die Äste der Birken, einige Stanzteile habe ich dabei aufs Gesicht gedreht. 

 

I combined several sets by ScrappyTails for this card. I did some thinking outside the box for a few of the details, and because I don't own any of their easter sets I had to use dies by another brand for the bunnies and the easter eggs.  

For the base I used the Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card set - this time I cut the pieces from light blue cardstock. 

I shaded/colored most of the pieces on this card, most of them I cut from colored cardstock. Only for the birds, the bunnies and birch trees I used white cardstock and colored them in completly. 

The design of the Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card is more wintery. To give my birch trees a spring-ish look I used the plant die from Library Window PopUp Card. Cut in pieces it fits perfectly behind the branches of the trees, some of the die cut pieces I had to turn face down to make them fit.

 

 Und natürlich habe ich die Tiefe der PopUp Card wieder voll genutzt. Da ich die Seitenteile aus dem Poinsettia PopUp Tunnel Card Set benutzt habe, die etwas breiter sind als die im anderen Set, hatte ich noch mehr Platz. Allerdings hätten die schmaleren für die drei Innenlagen auch problemlos gereicht. Ich selbst mag es so aber lieber. 

 

And of course I used the depth of the PopUp Card completly, again. I used the side pieces from Poinsettia PopUp Tunnel Card, they are a bit wider than the ones in the other set. That left me with more room. But the thinner ones would have be enough for the three inner layers I added. I just like it better this way, which is just a personal preference. 

 

 Die Szene mit der Großstadt im Hintergrund ist eventuell nicht unbedingt das, an was man bei einer typischen Osteridylle denkt, aber ich mag die Karte wirklich sehr.

 

The scene with the city skyline might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a classical easter scene, but I really love this card. 

 

 Die Lage mit den Häusern ist mit dem NYC Skyline AddOn Set gemacht. Ich habe die Häuser aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen grauen Cardstocks, die Dächer aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Häuser habe ich dann von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone bzw. Hickory Smoke gewischt und alle Fenster mit hellblauem Cardstock hinterlegt. Dann habe ich die Häuser auf die vollflächige Innenlage mit den Seitenlaschen, die ich aus schwarzem Cardstock  gestanzt hatte, geklebt. 

Davor befindet sich dann eine Lage mit Bäumen und einer Laterne, die ich mit dem Central Park Skaters AddOn Set gemacht habe. Ich habe die dreimal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Bei zweien habe ich die Bäume etc. weggeschnitten - eines der Stanzteile habe ich direkt auf/vor die Häuser geklebt, damit der schwarze Cardstock hier nicht sichtbar ist. Das andere habe ich nach dem Aufkleben der einzelnen Tannen und Laterne aufgeklebt. Alle Graslagen auf der Karte sind übrigens mit Distress Ink Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn gewischt. Außerdem habe ich ganz feine Spritzer hellrosa-farbener Metallic-Watercolor als Wiesenblumen aufgetragen. 

Die Tannenbäume habe ich ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert und außerdem die einzelnen Bäume im Set aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt. Diese dunkelgrünen Bäume habe ich dann leicht nach unten versetzt hinter die colorierten Bäume geklebt, so dass sie voller wirken. Außerdem befindet sich auf dieser Lage ein Laubbaum - eigentlich ist der kahl. Ich habe einige restliche Teile der Pflanze, die ich bereits für die Birkenblätter benutzt habe, aufgeklebt und als Blüten winzige rosafarbene Perlen aufgeklebt. 

 

For the layer with the houses I used the NYC Skyline AddOn set. I cut the houses from two different shades of grey, the roofs from dark grey cardstock.  I then lightly shaded the bottom of the houses with Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke and put light blue cardstock behind all the windows. Then I glued the individual houses onto the full layer with the side flaps, that I had cut from black cardstock. 

The next layer is the one with the trees and a lantern that I made with the Central Park Skaters AddOn Set. I die cut that three times from green cardstock and cut off the trees etc. of two of them. One I glued directly under/onto the houses to cover the black cardstock, the other one I glued onto the tree layer after adhering the individual die cuts. I shaded all grass layers with Distress Ink Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn and added fine splatter of light pink metallic watercolor. Those look like small flowers blooming in the meadow. 

I shaded the pine trees with Copics and also cut the individual trees from the set from dark green cardstock. I glued those dark green trees behind the colored ones, moving the dark ones a bit down to make them look fuller. There's also anothter tree on this layer - without leaves. I used some left over pieces of the plant I had also used for the birch leaves, glued them on and then added tiny light pink pearls as blossoms.

 

 Die nächste Wiesenlage ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Vintage Post AddOn Set gemacht - das hatte ich für den Briefkasten ja sowieso hervorgeholt. Bei den Büschen musste ich dann ein wenig kreativ weerden. In einem der Ostersets von ScrappyTails sind auch Büsche enthalten, das habe ich aber, wie schon erwähnt, nicht. Also habe ich einfach Pflanzen aus dem Set Swan Lake sowie den Rauch des Hauses aus dem Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card Set kombiniert. Fällt doch fast nicht auf, oder?

Und die vorderste Lage ziert dann der Briefkasten. Den habe ich diesmal aus blauem Cardstock gemacht, das passte farblich einfach besser in die Karte. Die Deko ist aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. 

Auf der Lage habe ich dann auch einige Gräser aus dem Swan Lake Set verteilt und auf einige hohe Grasbüschel Blüten aus dem  Books and Coffee Set. 

Vor dem Briefkasten sitzt ein kleiner Hase - und auf der Lage dahinter springt ein weiterer gerade hinter einen Busch. Wer von den beiden die blauen und rosafarbenen Ostereier auf der Karte versteckt hat, lässt sich wohl nicht so genau sagen... Die Ostereier sind aus einem Set von CreativeDepot, in dem Eier in verschiedenen, kleinen Größen enthalten sind. Ich habe die größeren Eier auf die vorderste Lage, einige kleinere vor die Büsche gesetzt. So passt es auch von der Perspektive her. 

 

The next grass layer is made using a die from Vintage Post AddOn, that I had brought out already because of the mailbox. For the bushes I had to get a bit creative. There are bushes in one of the easter sets by ScrappyTails, but, as mentioned, I don't have those. So I simply used plants from Swan Lake and the smoke of the house from Birch Tree PopUp Tunnel Card. You wouldn't have guessed that if I didn't tell you, right?

The very front layer is decorated with the mailbox. I cut it from dark blue cardstock this time, it just went better with the colors I had used for this card. The small decor details I cut from silver mirror cardstock. 

On this layer I also added some tall grass from Swan Lake and added little flowers from Books and Coffee on a few of the tallest blades. 

 There's a little bunny sitting in front of the mailbow - and on the layer behind it another one is caught jumping behind a bush. Which one of them has hidden all those blue and pink eggs might remain a secret... The easter eggs are from a set by CreativeDepot. It contains eggs in different small sizes. I adhered the larger ones to the front layer, the smaller ones in front of the bushes, to keep everything in perspective. 

 

 Zum Schluss habe ich noch die Vögel aus dem Vintage Post AddOn Set coloriert und auf den Briefkasten bzw. in die Birken geklebt. 

Und weil der Himmel etwas zu fad wirkte, habe ich hier noch "Sonnenstrahlen" aufgeklebt. Gelb wollte ich dafür nicht benutzen, also habe ich sie aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt. Und ich habe dafür einfach eine Stanze aus dem Valentine Playing Cards Set verwendet - eigentlich gedacht, um Spielkarten zu dekorieren. Sie sehen aber auch als Sonnenstrahlen super aus. 

 

At the end I colored the birds from Vintage Post AddOn and glued them onto the mailbox and the birch trees.

And the sky seemed a bit plain, so I added some "sunrays". I didn't want to add yellow to the card so I cut them from light blue cardstock. I simply used a die from Valentine Playing Cards - originally made to decorate some playing cards with it. But it makes some great sunrays, too.  

 

Happy Spring Day

Also so langsam dürfte der Frühling mal kommen, ich bin mehr als bereit und sehne mich nach Sonnenschein und wärmeren Temperaturen. Zur Einstimmung habe ich heute schon mal eine Frühlingskarte für Euch.

Spring could really make its appearance now, I am more than ready and yearn for sunshine and warmer temperatures. To get a bit in a spring mood I have a spring card for all of you today.

 

Der Hintergrund meiner Karte ist aus einem Stück blauen Cardstocks gemacht, den ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean gewischt habe. 

Da meine Hasen eine schöne Landschaft brauchten, hatte ich die Idee, eine Art "Tunnel" aus frühlingshaften Büschen zu machen. Ich kenne diese von Pflanzen überwucherten Gänge noch von früher. Wolkenstanzen boten sich da natürlich an. Ich habe die beiden großen Stanzen aus dem Cloudy Sky Scene Set von HeroArts aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgrünen Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics mit kleinen Punkten coloriert. Damit es auch aussieht wie Büsche habe ich dann noch einige feine Äste aus dem Branching Out Set von Memorybox aufgeklebt, hier reichten jeweils die Spitzen der Äste. 

 

I created the background for my scene from blue cardstock that I inked from the bottom up with a bit of Distress Ink Salty Ocean.

My bunnies needed a nice spring-ish landscape and I got the idea of creating some kind of "tunnel" from bushes. I remember those overgrown by plants ways from back then. Cloud dies seemed perfect. I used the two large ones from Cloudy Sky Scene by HeroArts and cut them from two different shades of light green cardstock. Then I colored them with Copics by just covering them with lots of little dots. And to make sure these look like bushes I added a few branches from Branching Out by Memorybox, only using the very tips of the branches.

 

Eigentlich wollte ich ein ganz anderes Motiv aus dem Schrank holen - die Karte damit zeige ich Euch demnächst - und bin dabei über die süßen Hasen aus dem Happy Day Set von ColoradoCraft gestolpert. Ganz spontan habe ich mich dann umentschieden... 

Ich habe sie mit dem Jellyfish Kissen von LawnFawn gestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Zum Schluss habe ich dann mit einem schwarzen Fineliner die Schnurrhaare und Augen aufgemalt und außerdem einige Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt.  

Das Gras hinter und neben den Hasen habe ich mit dem Greener Grass Set von ColoradoCraft gemacht. Ich habe die Hasen maskiert und die Grasbüschel direkt mit auf den selben Cardstock gestempelt. 

 

I wanted to bring out a completly different image - I will share the card I made with that a bit later in the month - and came across the cute bunnies from Happy Day by ColoradoCraft. That made me change my mind...

I stamped the images with the Jellyfish ink by LawnFawn and colored them with Copics. Then I used a black fineliner to add the eyes and wiskers and also added a few small details with Polychromos.

The grass behind and next to the bunnies is made with the Greener Grass set by ColoradoCraft.  I masked the bunnies off and stamped the grass onto the same piece of cardstock.

 

 Beim Abstempeln der Motive hatte ich noch nicht so genau im Kopf, wie die Karte dann am Ende aussehen sollte - und hatte unter den Motiven tatsächlich nicht genug Platz für meinen Text. Ich wollte unbedingt die Spring-Stanze aus dem Great Greetings Spring von HoneyBeeStamps benutzen und das braucht dann doch einiges an Platz. Also habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock noch eine Grasbordüre ausgestanzt und die als zusätzliche Lage unter die Motive gesetzt. Damit sie zum Rest des Grases passt, habe ich auch den Cardstock ein wenig mit Copics schattiert. 

Das Wort Spring ist einfach aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Das "happy" und das "day" habe ich dann weiß aufembosst, beides ist ebenfalls aus dem Happy Day Set. 

Und damit das Gras hier nicht so langweilig wirkt, habe ich noch kleine Osterglocken aus dem Small Daffodils in Pot Set von Gummiapan in die Wiese gepflanzt. Auch die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Blumenzwiebeln am unteren Ende habe ich einfach weggeschnitten. 

 

When stamping the images I didn't know yet, what exactly I wanted my card to look like - and didn't leave enough room for the text under them. I really wanted to use the spring word die from Great Greetings Spring by HoneyBeeStamps, and that needs quite some space. So I die cut a grass border from light green cardstock and added it as an additional layer under the images. To make this layer go with the rest of the grass layers I shaded the cardstock with some Copics.

The word spring I simply cut from white cardstock.  The words "happy" and "day" I then white heat embossed onto the cardstock, both words are from Happy Day, too.

The grass layer looked a bit plain with just the text on it. So I added some daffodils from Small Daffodils in Pot by Gummiapan. Again I cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics and cut off the bulbs at the bottom.

 

 Damit der Busch-Tunnel auch schön plastisch wirkt, habe ich die Wolken-/Buschlagen jeweils mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Die Hasen sind direkt auf dem Himmel befestigt, die extra Graslage habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch  drei kleine weiße Wolken am Himmel verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To make the tunnel of bushes dimensional I added the clouds/bushes with thick foam tape. The bunnies I glued directly onto the sky, the extra layer of grass I backed with thin foam tape.

At the end I added three small clouds to the sky and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #216

LawnFawn feiert diesen Monat seinen 16. Geburtstag - da lag es natürlich nahe, "Happy Birthday, LawnFawn" als Thema für die aktuelle LawnFawnatics Challenge zu wählen. Und das ist meine Umsetzung des Geburtstagsthemas.

LawnFawn is turning 16 this month - and so it's no wonder that "Happy Birthday, LawnFawn" is the theme for the current LawnFawnatics challenge. And this is the birthday card I made as my entry.

 

 Meine Karte ist recht pink-lastig, trotzdem finde ich sie nicht kitschig, was bei Rosa ja doch recht schnell passieren kann.

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Oxide Dried Marigold, Tea Dye, Saltwater Taffy und Picked Raspberry gewischt habe. Dann habe ich erst Wasser und nach dem Trocknen weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Um alles kam dann ein Rahmen. Ich habe den Big Blossom Backdrop Landscape aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und die Blätter und Stiele schattiert. Darauf habe ich dann einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, gesetzt.

 

My card is pretty pink, but I still think it isn't kitschy, what can happen pretty fast with pink.

In the background there's a piece of white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxide Dried Marigold, Tea Dye, Saltwater Taffy and Picked Raspberry. I then splattered water and, after that  had dried, white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

I put a frame onto that cardstock. I die cut the Big Blossom Backdrop Landscape from green cardstock and shaded the leaves and stems. Then I put one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames, cut from black cardstock, on top.

 

 Vor einiger Zeit habe ich bei Tedi Glitter-Cardstock mit Farbverlauf gefunden. Aus einem Bogen dieses Cardstocks, der von der Farben her perfekt zu meinem gewischten Hintergrund passt, habe ich das Giant Make a Whish gestanzt. Ich habe es leicht versetzt mit einem schwarzen Stanzteil hinterlegt und dann weiße Highlights auf die Glitter-Buchstaben aufgemalt. 

Dieser Text, der auch der einzige auf meiner Karte ist, bildet die Mitte der Karte.

 

A little ago I found some glitter cardstock in a gradient at a local dollar store. From one of these sheets, that goes perfectly with the colors I used to ink the background, I die cut the Giant Make a Wish, using the die with the same name. I backed it with a black die cut, offsetting that a bit, and then added highlights to the glittered letters using a white gel pen.

This text, that's also the only one on this card, is the center of my scene.

 

 Im unteren Bereich habe ich dann Blüten auf die Stiele gesetzt, wobei ich die teilweise etwas gekürzt habe, damit nicht zu viel des Textes verdeckt wird. 

Ich habe die Blüten aus hellrosa, die Blumenmitten aus orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich die Blüten mit Distress Ink Picked Raspberry und ein wenig Aged Mahogany gewischt, die Blütenmitten mit Crackling Campfire. 

Hier unten befindet sich ein Schmetterling mit Geschenk. Das Geschenk ist aus dem Geschenkestapel aus Tiny Birthday Friends ausgeschnitten. Außerdem habe ich zwischen den beiden Blumen rechts eine kleine Partygirlande aus Hive Five gespannt. 

 

In the lower are of the card I added the flowers to the stems, cutting some of them down a bit to not cover too much of the text.

I die cut the flowers from light pink, the flower centers from orange cardstock. I inked the flowers with Distress Ink Picked Raspberry and a bit of Aged Mahogany, the flower centers with Crackling Campfire. 

Down here there's a butterfly with a present. I cut the present out from a pile of presents from Tiny Birthday Friends. I've also hung a small party garland from Hive Five between the two flowers on the right side.

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Karte sind zwei weitere Schmetterlinge unterwegs. Sie alle sind aus dem neuen Set I Like Big Butterflies. Einem habe ich einen Cupcake, ebenfalls aus Tiny Birthday Friends, in die Hand gegeben, der andere bringt drei Luftballons zu Party mit. Die sind aus dem Set Bicycle Built for You. 

Ich habe alle Motive mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Auf die farbigen Teile der Schmetterlingsflügel und auf die Ballons habe ich mit Stickles ein wenig Glitter aufgetragen.

 

In the upper area of the card there are two more butterflies. All of them are from the new I Like Big Butterflies set. I gave one a cupcake, again from Tiny Birthday Friends, to hold, the other one brings three balloons to the party. Those are from Bicycle Built for You.

I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors. Onto the colored pieces of the butterflies' wings and the balloons I added a bit of glitter using Stickles.

 

 Ich habe nur hinter die Blumenmitten dünnes 3D Tape gesetzt und die Blumen damit auf die Stiele geklebt. Die Blütenblätter habe ich mit dem Finger ein wenig nach oben gebogen. Hinter den Schmetterlingen befindet sich dickes 3D Tape.

Als Deko habe ich fünf weiße Herzen auf der Karte verteilt, zwei davon als I-Punkte auf dem I von Wish. Dann habe ich noch einige hellorange-irisierende Glitzersteine auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put thin foam tape only behind the flower centers and used that to adhere the flowers to the stems. The petals I bent up a bit using my fingers. Behind the butterflies I put thick foam tape.

As decoration I added five white clay hearts, two glued down like dots on the I of the word wish. Then I scattered some light orange iridescent rhinestones to the background. 

As the last step I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Im März und April darf ich Gastdesigner für The Stampstop sein - ein Stempelshop in den Niederlanden, der viele tolle Marken im Sortiment hat und zu sehr fairen Versandkosten auch nach Deutschland liefert. Und dies ist meine erste Karte.

 

Hello everyone!

I was asked to be a guest designer for The Stampstop for march and april. It's a shop in the Netherlands, that has many great brands in their store. This is my first card.  

 

Eine der Marken, die The Stampstop vertreibt, ist The Sassy Club. Die habe ich tatsächlich vor etwa einem Jahr das erste Mal wahrgenommen, das erste Set dann aber erst Ende letzten Jahres gekauft. Damit kommt demnächst dann auch (nochmal) ein Werk. Für meine heutige Karte kam aber die News Print Stanze samt passenden Stempeln und das Stempelset Little Genius zum Einsatz.

Ich liebe die Zeitungsstanze. Sie wirkt wie eine dicke Wochenendausgabe, und so muss eine Zeitung für mich sein.

Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics ein wenig vergilbt coloriert. Zeitungspapier ist ja nie wirklich weiß, also passte das gut.

 

One of the brands, The Stampstop is selling, is The Sassy Club. I discovered this brand about a year ago but only bought my first set late last year. I will share another project with that set soon. But for today's card I used the News Print die and matching stamps and the Little Genius stamp set.

I love this newspaper die. It looks like a thick weekend edition, and that's what a newspaper has to look like for me.

I cut it from white cardstock and then shaded it with Copics, making it look a bit aged. Newspapers never are a bright white and so I think, that fits great.

 

 Als Mutter einer Biologie-Doktorandin bin ich für alles, was Labor etc anbelangt, recht anfällig. Und Beaker, den wimmernden Kerl mit den roten Haaren aus der Muppet Show, liebe ich sowieso. Also war das Little Genius Stempelset ein Muss für mich. Hier ziert eines der Motive aus dem Set - als Foto gestaltet - die Titelseite  der Zeitung.

Der Stempel ist eigentlich um einiges größer. Ich habe die Zeitung so maskiert, dass knapp unter  dem Titel ein Rechteck freigeblieben ist, und habe dort den Teil des Motivs, den ich auf der Karte haben wollte, aufgestempelt. 

Wiederum mit Copics habe ich dann das Bild coloriert. Früher waren Bilder in Zeitungen ja nur schwarz-weiß, und diesen Look wollte ich aufgreifen. Da ich aber für einige Elemente auf der Karte rote Tinte benutzen wollte, habe ich auch bei der Coloration ein wenig Rot mit eingearbeitet. Die Haare von Beaker gehören zu diesen roten Elementen, das musste einfach so sein!

Mit einem schwarzen Fineliner habe ich direkt um das Motiv einen Rahmen gemalt und dann einen weiteren, ein klein wenig außerhalb hinzugefügt. Das Bild habe ich dann entlang dieses äußeren Rahmens abgeklebt und mit einem Stencil und etwas Distress Ink Candied Apple Strahlen rechts und links des Motivs aufgewischt. 

Die übrigen Stempel sind aus dem Set News von The Sassy Club. Damit kann man die Zeitung für alle Gelegenheiten und ganz nach Lust und Laune gestalten. Es gibt mehrere Zeitungstitel. Ich habe mich für Daily Planet entschieden. Und weil mir das ein wenig zu kurz war, habe ich noch ein kleines The, das vor zwei weiteren Titeln aus dem Set steht, dazugestempelt. 

Das Extra! musste natürlich in rot gestempelt werden - es ist schließlich eine Sonderausgabe. Und das soll man auch gleich sehen. Ich habe alle roten Elemente mit dem Lobster-Stempelkissen von LawnFawn gestempelt. 

 

As the mom of a daughter, that is just getting a doctor degree in biology, I am very drawn to everything laboratory etc. related. And beaker, the whimpering red haired guy from Muppet Show, is one of my favorites. So the Little Genius stamp set was a must have for me. Here I used one of the images from this set - turned into a photo - on the front page of my newspaper.  

The stamp is quite larger originally. I masked off most of the cut out newspaper, creating a non-masked rectangle, then stamped the part of the image I wanted  to use into that rectangle.

Again using Copics I colored the image. When I was a kid, newspapers were mainly just black and white and that's the look I wanted to create. But I also wanted to use red ink for some elements on my card and so I used a bit of red also in my coloring. Of course Beaker's hair had to be among them!

I drew a frame around the image with a black fineliner, then added another, just a bit larger frame around it. I then masked off the image along that outer frame and added some rays to the left and right of the image using a rays stencil and Distress Ink Candied Apple.

The other stamps on my card are from the News set by The Sassy Club. It has all kind of stamps for you to create your newspaper any way and for any occasion you like. There are several titles for the newspaper. I went with Daily Planet. And since that was a bit too short for my taste I stamped a small The, that's part of some other titles from the set, before it. 

The Extra! had to be stamped in red - it's a special edition after all. And you really need to see that right away. I used Lobster ink by LawnFawn for all the red elements on my card.

 

 Den unteren Teil der Zeitung habe ich mit weiteren Stempeln aus dem Set News gestaltet. Nur das "little Genius" ist aus dem gleichnamigen Set, aus dem auch das Motiv ist. 

Außerdem habe ich das Congrats! und die Sterne aus dem Set Simply Celebrate Graduation von LawnFawn mit eingearbeitet. 

Die Texte You did it! und Congrats! sind wieder in rot gestempelt. Um die roten Worte noch etwas mehr hervorzuheben, habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Schlagschatten und mit einem weißen Gelstift Highlights aufgemalt. Vor allem das Congrats!, das ich über den kleinen Text gesetzt habe, sticht so viel besser hervor.

 

I created the bottom part of the newspaper using more stamps from the News set. Only "litte genius" is from the Little Genius set, that also the image comes from.

I also brought in the Congrats! and the little stars from Simply Celebrate Graduation by LawnFawn.

Again I used red ink to stamp the You did it! and Congrats! To bring out the red texts even more I added a drop shadow with a black fineliner and highlights with a thin white gel pen. Especially the Congrats!, that I stamped on top of the small texts, is way more noticable/legible this way.

 

 Als Deko habe ich dann auf die Strahlen neben dem Motiv einige rosafarbene Sterne aufgeklebt.

Die bestempelte Zeitung habe ich dann auf einen Kartenrohling geklebt, der ebenfalls die Form einer Zeitung hat. Ich habe die News Print Stanze einfach ein weiteres Mal aus einem gefalteten Stück weiße  Cardstocks gestanzt und dabei die linke Kante der Stanze ein wenig über den Falz hinausgeschoben. 

 

As decoration I glued some pink clay stars onto the rays next to the image.

Then I glued the stamped newspaper onto a newspaper shaped card base. I simply cut the News Print die again from a folded piece of white cardstock, moving the left edge of the die over a bit so it is just next to and outside of the fold in the card.
