Das Haus des Schreckens?

Hallo  Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Halloween is the end of this month and I still have so many ideas that I want to turn into cards. Today I have a haunted house to share with you. But it looks like the ghost is the one that's scared the most...

The background of my card is made from a simple piece of black cardstock, that I just inked in the top right corner with a bit of Distress Oxide Lost Shadow to lighten up the  area around the moon a bit.
The moon is made using the Vault Wicked set by Sizzix. I die cut it from some cream colored cardstock that has a hint of grey in it, and glued it onto the background.
From vellum I die cut the Cloud Background by WaffleFlower and glued it onto the background, too. The glue is hidden by the house. In only needed part of the width of the die cut and cut off the rest. That separated the rows of clouds from each other and due to that I was able to glue them on a bit further apart.
The stars in the sky I simply drew on with a glitter gel pen.

I created the house from white cardstock. I simply cut a rectangle with my paper cutter and then inked it blotchy with Distress Inks Tea Dye and Pumice Stone. I also splattered on white acrylic paint and reddish-brown metallic watercolor.
With a stencil and a grey fineliner I sketched on the bricks onto the wall. They seemed too light to my so I re-drew them with a black fineliner, offsetting the lines slightly on purpose. I also drew some cracks into the wall using the black fineliner again.
At the top of the house I added an edge made with a Postage Edge die by Stampcorner and grey cardstock.

The windows of ym house are made using the Postage Collage Windows die by WaffleFlower. I stacked two layers of white cardstock and then glued them onto a rectangle, cut from black cadrstock. At the top edge of each window I again adhered a grey postage edge and put a thin strip of the same cardstock under each window. There's also a grey bat above each window.
Out of the large window, that I put onto the top of the house, there's a curtain from Postage Collage Window AddOn, cut from vellum, flying in the wind. There's also a pumpkin from one of the 13 days of Halloween Box by Spellbinders sitting in the middle of the window. And out of the right part of the winow a ghost is flying out. It looks more like he's fleeing from something. I die cut  him from vellum again, using  a die from Ghosts by Impression Obsession. I put some black cardstock behind the eyes and the mouth.
There are also some tiny eyes blinking out of the dark behind the window. I used the eyes from one of the aliens from the UFO set by WhimsyStamps here, drew on the black dots and glued those tiny eyes onto down.
On the roof of the house there's a crow sitting, that's again from the Vault Wicked set. I cut it from black glossy cardstock so it stands out more from the black background.

In the lower half of the house there are two small windows. Behind one I put a curtain from vellum, again from Postage Collage Window AddOn, and another pair of eyes. In the other window I placed a black cat. It's from Wicked Whispers by WhimsyStamps. I cut it from black cardstock and, after adhering it, I used a fine white gel pen to trace its outlines. There's another pair of eyes in this window, too.
Between the two windows I've hung up a banner with a cut in boo. It's again from the Spellbinders set, that also the pumpkin comes in.
Between the window on the top and the ones on the bottom of the house I added a Halloween greeting. It's made using a stamp from Itty Bitty Boos by MFT, white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

I used thick foam tape to adhere the house to the background, the thin text strip I glued on with thin foam tape.
In the end I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Welcome to our Neighborhood

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Today I have a different card to share with you - even if it still has some wintery vibes.

I wanted to use the little decoration elements and arrange them on a shelf. Since I didn't want to have that on a white "wall" I dry embossed a pattern with an old embossing folder by Cuttlebug across a piece of light grey cardstock. To be able to only emboss that strip across the cardstock I used an Embossing Diffuser  by Sizzix.
To bring out the pattern even more I pressed a white pigment ink pad onto the raised areas.

The decoration is made using two die sets by CreativeDepot: Jutebeutel und Tannengrün and Kamindeko Häuser. I had ordered these before christmas, together with the dachshund stamp set, but they were delivered beginning of january. I wanted to use them nontheless and tried, to not make this card look christmas-sy. But like a friend of mine always says: you can always do houses. And she's right here.
I die cut all pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. Onto one of the houses I adhered a small rose colored heart.
The shelf under the decorations is from the Laboratory die set by Sizzix and originally made to hold a bunch of old apothecary bottles.. I think it also works great with the decorations. I cut it twice, colored one shelf completly and from the second one just the upper part. I cut the bottom off of this second shelf and adhered it to the full shelf using foam tape.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a "welcome home" card or a welcome card for a new neighbor. Finally I decided to do the card for the neighbor, mostly for design reasons.
The "welcome" is made using a die from Welcome Home by Altenew. I cut off the flourishes on both ends, this way the word fit better on the card. I stacked four pink die cuts here.
The "to our neighborhood" underneath I put together using different stamps from Anything but Basic Friendship by MFT, stamping it grey onto white cardstock.
As decoration I added two more hearts next to the text.

The trees I glued directly to the background, the stamped text and houses are backed with thin foam tape. I put some glue onto the top of the L from welcome and put tiny pieces of thick foam tape behind the larger areas of the rest of the word.
Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Yeti or not...

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
One of my daughters' boyfriend celebrated his birthday and today I am sharing with you the card I made for him.

The two often go hiking. And that's why I bought the Yeti Explorer stamp back in april when I attended a stamp fair - with just this occasion in mind. Now it finally got inked up.
Even if this card is pretty dimensional I didn't use many products here. Nearly the whole scene is made with the Christmas Tree Shadow Box die by Sizzix. I just added trees and some grass and small rocks by LawnFawn.

I die cut all pieces from colored cardstock and shaded only the trees and the mountains with a bit of Distress Ink.
In the background there's a layer of light blue cardstock for the sky, on top I placed two rows of mountains. I made one with a die by LawnFawn, the other one with a die by Action. I used my Copics to shade the snowcaps.
Next I adhred two layers of grassy hills and then the trees. I used the same die from the Sizzix die set and cut it from two tones of brown cardstock. I turned the darker one face down, this  way the trees look different.

In the lower half of the card I adhered some pine trees, that I added some details to with my Polychromos. In between the trees there are two more layers of grass. One of them I made using the bottom part of the Spooky Forest Backdrop by LawnFawn. From this set are also the small patches of grass and the rocks, that I glued to the bottom of the scene. I also added a layer of green cardstock between the pine trees. From that I had die cut the arched window from the Christmas Tree Shadow Box die set.
And in this wonderful mountain scene the little Yeti is hiking. I first colored him with Copics, then added the fur with Polychromos. He may have turned out a little darker than you might imagine a Yeti, but it's fall and he's still wearing his summer fur.
The texts on the card are from Yeti or  Not by LawnFawn and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I thought they were perfect for this card and also loved the play of words in the smaller text.

This scene is already put together from a lot of layers so I didn't want to put foam tape between them. On the other hand I was afraid that the scene might look too flat without. So I added one layer cut from black cardstock behind each layer. This adds exactly the right amount of depth - but makes the card event thicker. And this actually the very first card that my paper cutter - a large cutter by Fiskars with a rotating blade - refused to cut. So I used my scissors and truly fought my way through the cardstock layers. Luckily my paper cutter survived cutting the other 3 edges.
In the end I brought in a tiny bit of foam tape, just behind the texts and rocks.
I added some small green sequins to the upper half of the card, then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

A Halloween Hello

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
After yesterday's very colorful creation I am sharing an a lot more decent card with you today. I got the idea for the color combo when I was shown a shopping link to a shirt in social media. And I really like this combo for Halloween!

The background is made from some very light brown cardstock. It's by Bazzil and has little polka dots embossed into it. That made stamping the Ghoulish Greetings Background by MFT on top with white pigment ink a bit harder and then I also slightly moved my cardstock in my Misti and got some double stamping at the bottom of the cardstock, but that doesn't bother me at all on a Halloween card.
Then I added splatters of black metallic watercolor and inked the left/bottom with a bit of Distress Ink Black Soot.

This is once again a die cut heavy card and I used dies by all kind of brands for it. I die cut the pieces from colored cardstock, shaded/added details to some of them with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.
Onto the background I first adhered one of the spiderwebs from the Spiders and Webs set by WhimsyStamps.
The flower pot is from the Little Flowers set by LawnFawn, the tree in it made with a die by Magnolia. I put some orange cardstock behind the tree and then wrapped some thin silver metallic thread around it.
The broom and pumpkin are from the Vault Wicked die set by Sizzix. I cut the bottom of the broom twice, then glued them together back to back. The flourish o the pumpkin is by LawnFawn. I also added some tiny ovals as a face. Also by LawnFawn, from their Acorn House set, are the small leaves I placed at the bottom of the larger images. Then I put shadows, made with the Oval Shadows set by MFT, under everything.

I glued three bats, made with a die from the Bat Reveal Set by WhimsyStamps, to the sky.
For the text I used the letter dies from the Vault Coffin Box set by Sizzix to cut the word BOO. It's made from one orange layer, shaded with Copics, backed slightly off with three layers cut from black cardstock. Then I covered the letters with Glossy Accents.
The small stamped subtext is from the Itty Bitty Boos set by MFT and stamped black onto white cardstock.

I glued a few silver star confetti onto the card.
Then I matted the card panel black and glued it onto a white note card.
