Heute startet die aktuelle Challenge bei Create a Smile. Ich finde die Moodboards ja immer wahnsinnig inspirierend, aber das Juli-Moodboard ist ja mal so 100 Prozent meins. Und so war die Idee für meine Karte innerhalb Minuten im da.

Today the new challenge by Create a Smile goes life. I just love their moodboards and always find them extremly inspiring, but the july moodboard is completly my style. And so the idea for this card was in my head within minutes.
Na, wie findet Ihr es? Ich liebe türkis und weiß - und die grauen und grünlichen Farben passen so wunderbar dazu. Da ich das Moodboard doch sehr elegant findet, ist diese blumige Karte entstanden:
What do you think about it? I love turquoise and white, and the grey and green bits of color go wonderfully with those other two. Since I think this moodboard is quite elegant I created this flower card for the challenge:
Fragt mich jetzt nicht, warum die Karte hier etwas grauer wirkt, im oberen Bild etwas grünlicher. Ich habe die Fotos direkt nacheinander geschossen, gleiche Kameraeinstellungen. Manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, der Hintergrund verändert die Farben etwas.
Ich habe hier türkisgrauen Cardstock genommen und mit der Cloud Pattern Stencil und Distress Oxide Iced Spruce die Wolken aufgewischt. Ich habe ein paar kleine Wolken in die Zwischenräume geschummelt, da genau die nach dem Auflegendes Motivs sichtbar waren. Dann habe ich türkisfarbene Metallic-Watercolor über den Cardstock gespritzt, alles dunkeltürkis gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Don't ask my why the card looks more grey-ish on this and more green-ish on the above pic. I took both directly after each other, same camera settings. Sometimes I think different backgrounds change the colors a bit.
Here I used some turquoise-grey cardstock and added clouds with the Cloud Pattern stencil and Distress Oxide Iced Spruce. I added a few of the small clouds because after I put the images on top the empty spaces were what was left visible. Then I spritzed some turquoise metallic watercolor onto the cardstock, matted it dark turquoise and glued it onto a white note card.
Als Motiv habe ich - passend zu einem der Bilder im Moodboard - Eukalyphuszweige gewählt. Die sind aus dem Set Einatmen Ausatmen und ich habe sie mit Fade-Out Ink von InkOn3 auf Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit ZIG Markern und Polychromos in No-Line Coloring coloriert. Dann habe ich sie per Hand ausgeschnitten.
Zwischen die Eukalypthuszweige habe ich dann noch zwei Blumensilhouetten aus dem Set Wildflowers gesteckt. Die sind einfach mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten. Die Stiele habe ich per Hand verlängert, so dass sie schön weit oben zwischen den Zweigen sitzen.
Die Pflanzen habe ich mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt und darunter noch einige Kreise, gemacht mit dem Stitched Circle Frames Set aus weißem Cardstock, darunter gesetzt. Sie sorgen für mehr Kontrast zwischen dem Hintergrund und den Motiven.
For the images I picked some eucalyptus branches - just like on one of the pics on the moodboard. They are from the Breathe In Breathe Out stamp set and stamped with Fade-Out ink by InkOn3 onto watercolor cardstock. Then I colored them in with a mix of ZIG marker and Polychromos doing the no-lines technique and cut the images out by hand.
Beetween the branches I've put some more plants from the Wildflowers stamp set. They are simply stamped onto white cardstock with black ink and also cut out by hand. I used a black fineliner to make the stems longer so these plants sit niceley and high up in the eucalypus branches.
I used foam tape to glue the different plants on top of each other and put some circles, cut from white cardstock using the Stitched Circle Frames die set, under the branches. That adds some more contrast between the background and the images.
Jetzt brauchte meine Karte noch einen Text. Eukalyphus steht ja für Stärke und Wohlergehen - da passt ein "die besten Wünsche" doch perfekt.
Ich habe eines der Useful Banners aus grün-grauem Cardstock gestanzt und dann den Text aus dem Set Wunschkonzert weiß darauf embosst. Dabei habe ich die einzelnen Worte ein wenig gebogen, so dass sie sich der Form des Banners anpassen.
Unter das Banner habe ich dann noch ein weiteres aus dunkel-türkis farbenem Cardstock gelegt und durch beide ein kleines Loch gestanzt. Durch das habe ich etwas weißes Twine gezogen, zur Schleife gebunden und dann denTag ans untere Ende der Zweige geklebt.
Als Deko kamen dann noch ein paar mattsilberne Perlen zum Einsatz.
Now my card needed a text. Eucalyptus is the flower that stands for strength - so a "best wishes" seemed the perfect sentiment.
I've die cut one of the Useful Banners from grey-green cardstock and then white heat embossed the text onto it. To make the text follow the shape of the banner I've bent the stamps slightly before stamping them.
I glued another banner cut from dark turquoise cardstock under the one with the text, then punched a small hole through both of them, put some white twine through the hole and tied it to bow. Then I glued the banners to the bottom of the flower stems.
To embellish my card I added a few matte silver pearls.
