Mit dem heutigen Sketch verabschiedet sich das Stempeleinmaleins in die Sommerpause - am letzten August-Samstag sind wir mit einem neuen Sketch wieder für Euch da. Aber zuvor haben wir natürlich auch ein paar Inspirationen zu heutigen Sketch für Euch. Bei mir wird es wieder floral - und farblich recht leuchtend. Passt doch super zum Sommer, oder?

With today's sketch Stempeleinmaleins is taking its summer break - we'll be back with another sketch the last saturday of august. But before we wave our good byes of course we have some inspirations using today's sketch. My card turned out floral again - and pretty bright when it comes to the color choices. I think, it's perfect for summer.
Ich habe hier ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock mit Distress Spray Stain Twisted Citron eingefärbt und dabei viel Wasser mit verwendet. Ich wollte da gar keine großartige Struktur oder so im Farbauftrag haben, einfach die leuchtende Farbe an sich hatte es mir angetan.
Über die getrocknete Farbe habe ich dann mit dem Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Stempel von MFT und Distress Ink Mowed Lawn die kleinen Punkte darauf gestempelt.
Here I used a piece of watercolor cardstock and heavily sprayed it with water and Distress Spray Stain Twisted Citron. I wasn't after a special effect or structure, it was just the bright green color that I wanted for this card.
After the cardstock had dried I used the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots stamp by MFT and Distress Ink Mowed Lawn to stamp the tiny dots down.
Ich liebe die Farbkombi grün und blau bzw. türkis. Deswegen habe ich meine Blume - eigentlich ja eine Pfingstrose, aber so genau nehmen wir es nicht - mit Copics in türkis-blau coloriert. Das Motiv ist der Peony Perfection Stempel von MFT. Die Coloration ist hier recht rudimentär, denn ich wollte auch hier wieder die kleinen Punkte aufstempeln. Inspiriert dazu hat mich ein tolles Video von Jennifer McGuire, in dem sie zeigt, wie man verschiedene Stempel, Stanzen und Stencils combinieren kann. Und die Looks sind wirklich toll. Hier habe ich die Punkte mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers auf das blau bzw. Rustic Wilderness auf die Blätter aufgestempelt. Anschließend habe ich die Blume ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf einen Kreis aus türkisblauem Cardstock geklebt. Auf den habe ich zvor mit türkisfarbener Folie und einem der Hotfoil Kreise von MFT den Ring auffoliert. Der changiert auch noch toll im Licht.
Den Kreis habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf den Hintergrund aufgeklebt.
Für den Text habe ich das Doppelte Happy von Create a Smile Stamps verwendet. Der Schatten ist aus schwarzem, das Wort an sich aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Auf das grüne Stanzteil habe ich dann ebenfalls mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn Punkte aufgestempelt. So passt das Wort besser zum Rest der Karte. Unter da grüne Wort habe ich noch vier Lagen, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, gesetzt und es dann zuerst auf den Schatten, dann auf die Karte geklebt.
Das Wort Birthday ist mit der Sweet Birthday Wishes Hotfoil Plate von Ultimate Crafts und wieder der türkisblauen Folie auf türkis-blauen Cardstock foliert. Da ich das sweet darüber abdecken musste, war mein Sandwich ein wenig dicker und ich hatte ein wenig Overfoiling. Aber das konnte ich einigermaßen wieder wegradiere und so habe ich das Wort trotz der Imperfektion benutzt. Auch das habe ich schwarz gemattet und mit 3D Tape unter das happy geklebt.
I love the color combination of green and blue or turquoise. So I colored my flower - which is actually a peony but I think it also looks great on a summer's card - in a blue-ish turquoise. The image is the Peony Perfection stamp set by MFT. I didn't put too much effort into the coloring because I had planned to stamp more dots on top of the flower. I got the inspiration for that from a video by Jennifer McGuire, in which she combines different staps, dies and stencils. And the effects look amazing! Here I stamped the dots with Distress Ink Peaock Feathers onto the blue/turquoise parts and Rustic Wilderness onto the leaves and stem. Then I've cut the flower out and glued it with foam tape onto a circle cut from turquoise cardstock. Before I had foiled the ring onto it, using one of the Hotfoil Circles by MFT and some turquoise foil. It even glimmers in the light.
I matted the circle black and glued it onto the background.
For the text I used the Double Happy by Create a Smile. The shadow is cut from black cardstock, the word from green cardstock. Onto the green word I stamped more dots, again using Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. This way the word fits better into the overall design. I put four die cut words cut from black cardstock under the green one and then glued it onto the shadow and onto the card.
The word birthday is made with the Sweet Birthday Wishes hotfoil plate by Ultimate Crafts and the same turquoise foil I had used for the circle. Since I had to cover the sweet above the words birthday wishes my sandwich seems to have been a bit too thick and I ended up with some overfoiling. I was able to remove most of it with an eraser and so I decided to use it, despite its imperfection. I matted the word black again and then glued it down with foam tape.
Hier ist mal wieder der Versuch, den Schimmer der Folie einzufangen....
Als Deko habe ich noch einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift auf den grünen Hintergrund aufgemalt und einige türkisfarbene Pailetten als Deko in einer Linie schräg über die Karte aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich alles türkisfarben gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Once again here's the attempt to show the shimmer of the foil....
To decorate this card I've added a frame, made with a white gel pen, onto the background and then glued a few turquoise colored sequins in a line across my card. Then I matted everything with some light turquoise cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.
