Heute habe ich was Süßes für Euch! Allerdings hat das dann doch einen etwas gruseligen Touch und ich bin mir nicht so sicher, ob da jeder zugreifen will. Aber es ist schließlich eine Halloween-Karte, da gehört sich das so!

Today I have some treats for you! But they definately have a spooky touch to them and I am hot entirely sure everyone wants to grab one. But since this is a Halloween card, it is kind of required, right?
Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück cremefarbenes Designpapier mit grauen Spinnennetzen zugeschnitten und dann von außen her eingefärbt. Damit das Muster nicht komplett überdeckt wird, habe ich statt den Oxides die Distress Inks verwendet. Die sind zwar schwerer zu verblenden, dafür kann man das Muster dahinter noch sehen. Ich habe hier Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge und etwas Black Soot verwendet. Dann habe ich schwarze Metallic Watercolor und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.
Hauptelement ist natürlich die Etagere. Die habe ich mit der 2 Tier Tray Stanze von Spellbinders aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Oxide Black Soot gewischt und dann etwas mit silbernem Gilding Wax überzogen.
For the background I picked a piece of cream patterned paper with a spiderweb pattern and inked it up from the outside in. To not cover the pattern completly I went with Distress Inks instead of Oxides. Those are a bit harder to blend, but they are translucent and you can still see the spiderwebs through the ink. I used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge and a bit of Black Soot. Then I flicked some black metallic watercolor and some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.
Of course the tray is the main element on my card. I die cut it from dark grey cardstock using the 2 Tier Tray by Spellbinders, darkened a few areas with Distress Oxide Black Soot and then dabbed a bit of silver Gilding Way onto a few areas.
Die beiden Tabletts der Etagere habe ich mit Bonbons, Augäfpeln, Candy Corns und Knochen gefüllt. Dafür habe ich Stanzen aus dem Halloween Wonder Set von Spellbinders sowie aus den Sets Toil and Trouble sowie A little Spooky von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt. Die Augäpfel sind aus einem No-Name Stanzenset.
Am Griff der Etagere befindet sich noch eine Fledermaus, vom Griff zu den Bonbons hat eine Spinne ein Netz gesponnen, unten am Tablett hängt ein Boo-Banner und hinter dem Tablett schaut ein Geist hervor. Die Teile sind alle entweder mit Distress Ink oder mit Copics ein wenig schattiert.
I filled the trays with bonbons, eyeballs, Candy Corn and some bones. I used dies from the Halloween Wonder set by Spellbinders and the Toil and Trouble and the A little Spooky sets by HoneyBeeStamps. The eyeballs are by a no name brand.
I attached a bat to the handle of the tray, a spider has woven a web from the handle down to the candies, there's a little boo banner hanging from the tray and from behind it a little ghost is watching you. All the pieces are either shaded with Distress Ink oder Copics.
Das untere Tablett ist mit den selben "Leckereien" gefüllt. Dieses Tablett habe ich einmal aus schwarzem und einmal aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt, vom grauen die Füße weggeschnitten und das schwarze mit dünnem 3D Tape dahinter geklebt. So sind die Füße etwas zurückversetzt.
Unten vor dem Tablett sitzt eine große Spinne, die sich noch nicht entscheiden kann, auf welche Süßigkeit sie gerade Lust hat. Sie ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Spiders and Webs Set von WhimsyStamps aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt.
Das Schild hinter der Etagere wollte ich eigentlich vorne links aufstellen, aber dort hätte es zu viel der Etagere verdeckt. Also habe ich es dahinter platziert. Ich habe es mit einer Stanze von Gummiapan aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Black Soot fleckig gewischt und dann auch hier etwas des silbernen Gilding Waxes aufgetupf. Den Text aus einem Stempelset von SU habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und von hinten in das Schild geklebt.
The lower tray is filled with the same "treats". I die cut this tray once from black and once from grey cardstock, cut off the legs of the grey one and layered both pieces with thin foam tape. This way the feet are a bit pushed in the background.
A big black spider is sitting in front of the tray, still indecisive which treat she wants. I die cut her from black cardstock using a die from the Spiders and Webs set by WhimsyStamps.
I originally had planned to place the sign at the bottom left in front of the tray, but it simply would have covered too much of it. So I placed it behind the tray. I die cut it from yellow cardstock using a die by Gummiapan, made it look old with Black Soot and then again dabbed some of the silver Gilding Wax onto it. The text by SU I white heat embossed onto a piece of black cardstock and placed that behind the sign.
Um die Elemente auf den Hintergrund zu kleben, habe ich 3D Tape benutzt. Mit dem ist auch die Spinne aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.
To attach the elements to my background I used foam tape. That's also what I used to adhere the spider. As the last step I put everything onto a white note card.
