Auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige ich heute eine Herbstkarte mit einem Motiv aus dem neuen Stempelset Mia. Ich liebe die warmen Herbstfarben und habe sie hier richtig intensiv verwendet.

Over on the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing a fall card with an image from the new Mia stamp set. I love the warm colors of fall and used them quite intensly on this card.
Die Idee zu der Karte kam mir, als ich vor kurzem ein altes Foto von 2000 in die Hände bekam. Mein - jetziger - Mann und ich hatten einen Kurztrip nach Südtirol gemacht und da war diese riesige Sonnenblume. Auf dem Bild stehe ich daneben und die Sonnenblume ist etwa doppelt so groß wie ich. Und schon war die Idee zu dieser Karte geboren.
Als Hintergrund für meine Szene habe ich einige Lagen Gras sowie eine Reihe mit Bäumen aufgeklebt. Sie alle sind aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt - die Graslagen mit Stanzen von MFT und LawnFawn, die Bäume sind mit der Simple Stitched Tree Border von LawnFawn gemacht. Dann habe ich alles mit Distress Oxide eingefärbt. Da Felder und Wiesen im Herbst oft gelblich sind, habe ich hier hauptsächlich Gelbtöne sowie gelbliche Grüntöne benutzt und dabei im Hintergrund mehr gelb, vorne mehr grün verwendet. Ich habe Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint und Forest Moss benutzt. Mit den selben Grüntönen habe ich auch das Laub der Bäume eingefärbt, die Stämme habe ich mit einem alten Copic-Marker angemalt. Der ist fast ausgetrocknet, aber ich wollte nichts von den weißen Pigmenten, die in den Oxides enthalten sind, auf einen frischen Marker bringen und so evtl. die Spitze ruinieren.
Auch hier habe ich einige Wassertropfen auf die gewischten Cardstockstücke gespritzt.
I had the idea for this card when I came across an old photo from 2000. My - now - husband and me had taken a short trip to the north of Italy and there was this giant sunflower. On the photo I am standing next to it and the sunflower is about double my size. And there was the idea for this card in my head.
For my scene I used a few layers of grass and a row of trees. I die cut all of these from white cardstock - the grass layers using dies by MFT and LawnnFawn, the trees are made with the Simple Stitched Tree Border by LawnFawn. Then I inked them all with Distress Oxides. Since the fields and meadows have some tint of yellow in fall I mainly used yellows and some yellow-ish greens here, using more yellow in the background and more of the green on the front layers. I used Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. With the same greens I also inked the leaves of the trees, the trunks I colored with an old Copic marker. It's nearly dried out but I didn't want to bring any of the white pigment in the Oxides onto a fresh marker and maybe destroy the tip.
Again I spritzed some water onto the inked cardstock pieces.
Ich wollte einen Himmel in warmen Farben, der aber nicht nach Sonnenuntergang aussieht. Also habe ich den oberen Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Crackling Campfire und Lumberjack Plaid gewischt und etwas Wasser darauf gespritzt.
Einer der Texte aus dem Set passt perfekt über die noch geschlossene Sonnenblumen-Blüte. Ich habe sie mit Versafine Clair Pinecone direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Und damit der Himmel drumherum nicht so leer ist, habe ich noch die Vögel, die eigentlich über einem Text aus dem Stempelset Matrosenfreunde 2 fliegen, mit Versafine Clair Nocturne ein paar Mal aufgestempelt.
I wanted a sky in warm colors, but didn't want to make it look like a sundown. So I inked the top of a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, Crackling Campfire and Lumberjack Plaid and spritzed some water on top.
One of the texts from the stamp set fit perfectly over the still closed sunflower blossom. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Pinecone directly onto the background. And since I didn't want the rest of the sky to be empty, I stamped a few flying birds with Versafine Clair Nocturne onto it.
Das Mädel mit dem Kopftuch und dem kleinen Vogel in der Hand finde ich einfach zu süß. Ich habe es - sowie einige Blätter und einen weiteren Vogel aus dem selben Stempelset - mit Copics coloriert und anschließend ausgeschnitten. Die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.
Dahinter steht die große Sonnenblume, die Inspiration zu der Karte war. Ich habe dafür einen Stempel von Crealies verwendet, das Motiv ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
The girl with the bandana on her head and the little bird in her hand is just too cute. I colored her - as well as a few individual leaves and the larger bird from the same set - with Copics and cut her out. For the hightlights I used a white gel pen.
Behind her I placed the large sunflower, that was the inspireation for this card. I used a stamp by Crealies here, colored the image again with my Copics and cut it out.
Zum Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich wieder dünnes 3D Tape zwischen den einzelnen Lagen benutzt. Auf die gelben Wiesen im Hintergrund habe ich noch einige winzige rote Pailetten als Blumen geklebt.
Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.
To put the card together I used thin foam tape behind the individual layers. Onto the yellow fiels I glued a few tiny red sequins as flowers.
As a last step I attached my scene to a white note card.
