Craft Roulette Episode #334

 

Hallo  Ihr  Lieben!

Am Freitag lief Episode #334 von Craft Roulette und auch dieses Wochenende habe ich es geschafft, eine Karte zu werkeln. Und wie so oft war mein erster Gedanke "da bin ich raus" und dann habe ich mich doch drangesetzt. Diesmal war das ATC, das eingebaut werden sollte, Schuld an dem Gedanken. Mit denen kann ich einfach nichts anfangen. Liegt wohl daran, dass ich eine "mehr ist mehr" Bastlerin bin und der Platz auf den kleinen Karten doch sehr  limitiert ist....

Friday episode #334 of Craft Roulette was aired and also this weekend I managed to make a card. And as quite often my first thought was "this week I am out" - and then I sat down to make my card. Guess it was the ATC, that has to be included  this week, this time. I just don't like making them. Most likely because I am a "more is more" kind of crafter and space is pretty limited on these little cards...

This week's parameters are:

Ich hatte dann tatsächlich mehrere Ideen, geworden ist es dann diese Halloweenkarte. In lila... Ihr wisst ja, nicht gerade meine Lieblingsfarbe. Aber zu Halloween mache ich gerne  eine  Ausnahme!

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hell-lila farbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion und Black Soot gewischt habe.

Dann habe ich aus lilafarbenem Cardstock den Birch Tree Background  von ScappyTails gestanzt. Ich habe die Bäume leicht  mit Wilted Violett schattiert und dann mit Alkoholmarkern das Rindenmuster aufgemalt. 

 

I acutally had several ideas, then decided to make this Halloween card. Purple... You know, not really my favorite color. But when it comes to Halloween I am making an exception!

The background is made from light purple cardstock that I inked with Distress Ink Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot.

From purple cardstock I die cut the Birch Tree Background by ScappyTails. I shaded the trees with Wilted Violett and then used alcohol markers to add the bark pattern to the trees.

 

 In der Mitte meiner Karte befindet sich das ATC. 

Ich habe die Artist Trading Card von MamaElephant aus schwarzem Cardstock und aus lilafarbenem Spielgecardstock gestanzt. Aus dem lilafarbenen Teil habe ich den unteren Trennsteg herausgeschnitten und dann aus helltürkis farbenem Cardstock noch die komplette ATC gestanzt. Die habe ich mit Broken China, Uncharted Mariner und ein klein wenig Black Soot gewischt. 

Dekoriert habe ich mein ATC dann mit allem, was  so zu Halloween dazugehört: einem Geist  von Spellbidners, Sonnenblumen, Herbstblättern, Candy Corns und einem großen Kürbis von LawnFawn sowie einigen kleinen Spinnen von MemoryBox. Die sind  aus scharzem Glossy Cardstock gestanzt, damit sie optisch nicht untergehen. Ich habe alle Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und leicht  mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. 

Oben in den schmalen Streifen des ATC habe ich dann noch "october 31" weiß embosst und dafür Stempel aus dem Plan On It Calendar Set von LawnFawn verwendet. 

Farblich habe ich mich von Kürbis, Mais, Pastinake und Aubergine aus der "Obst- und Gemüseabteilung"  inspirieren lassen. 

 

In the center of my card I placed the ATC.

I die cut the Artist Trading Card die by MamaElephant from black cardstock and purple mirror cardstock. From the purple piece I cut out the strip, that divides the lower area into two pieces. From light aqua cardstock I die cut the solid piece from the die set and shaded that with Broken China, Uncharted Mariner and a bit of Black Soot.

Then I decorated my ATC with everything you need for Halloween: a ghost by Spellbinders, sunflowers, colorful leaves, candy corns and a large pumpkin by LawnFawn and a few small spiders by MemoryBox. I die cut these from black Glossy Cardstock so they don't get lost. I cut all elements from colored  cardstock and shaded them with alcohol markers.

Into the small areas at the top of the ATC I white heat embossed an "october 31", made using stamps from Plan On It Calendar by LawnFawn. 

 I picked pumpkins, sweet corn, parsnip and  eggplant from the product isle as the colors of my card.

 

 Oben rechts habe ich einen großen runden Mond, gemacht mit einer Stanze von LawnFawn, hinter die Bäume geklebt. Auch ihn habe ich schattiert und er bildet einen der drei Kreise, die auf der Karte untergebracht werden müssen. Die anderen beiden sind die Blumenmitten der Sonnenblumen... 

Zwischen den Birkenstämmen leuchten zudem einige Augen hervor. Die habe ich gelb coloriert, damit sie schön herausstechen. Gemacht sind sie mit den Augen der Katze aus dem selben Set, aus dem auch der Geist stammt. 

 

In the top right  of my background I added a large moon, made with a die  by LawnFawn, behind the trees. I shaded it, too, and it counts as one of the three circles that have to be included, the other two are the flower centers of the sunflowers....

Between the birch trees I placed some glowing eyes. I colored them yellow to make them pop. They are made with the eyes of the cat from the same set the ghost comes from, too. 

 

 Entlang des unteren Rands meiner Karte habe ich dann den Text aufgeklebt. Ich habe dafür ein Alphabetset von Whiff of Joy verwendet und die Buchstaben aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe sie passend zu Geist und Mond schattiert und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

 

Along the bottom edge of the card I added the text. I used an alphabet die set by Whiff of Joy to cut out the letters from cream colored cardstock, then shaded them to go with the ghost and moon  and glued them onto the background.

 

 Mit  einem klaren Glitzer-Gelstift habe ich dann kleine Punkte als Sterne zwischen die Birken und auf den Hintergrund des ATC aufgemalt. 

Als Deko habe ich drei lilafarbene Herzen auf die Karte geklebt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a clear glitter gel pen to add some stars, made from tiny dots,  between the trees and onto the background of the ATC.

I added three purple clay hearts as decoration and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Und hier ist noch der übliche Parameter-Check:

Include an ATC: es befindet sich als Hauptelement mittig auf meiner Karte

Produce Aisle Colors: inspiriert von Kürbis, Mais, Aubergine und Pastinake - alles schön herbstlich und bis auf vielleicht die Aubergine Gemüse, dass ich auch wahnsinnig gerne esse.

Tree(s): der Hintergrund ist ein ganzer Birkenwald

3 Kreise: der Mond und die beiden Kreise in den Sonnenblumen müssen hier gelten.

Craft Roulette Episode #332

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Es ist schon wieder ein neues Wochenede und somit Zeit für eine neue Episode von Craft Roulette. Nun, eigentlich war ich mir sicher, diese Woche keine Karte fertig zu bekommen, denn wir hatten ein Familientreffen geplant. Aber es ist eine besondere Episode, die von Craft Roulette Life. Und gerade die wollte ich dann nicht aussetzen. Es war tatsächlich so, dass ich vormittags ein kleines Bastelfenster schaffen konnte. Und die Parameter dieses Mal fand ich auch sehr einfach:

It's weekend again and that means there's a new episode of Craft Roulette. Well, I was sure that I won't be able to make a card this week because of a familiy get together. But it's a special episode that I didn't want to sit out: Craft Roulette Life. And I really was able to make a bit of free time in the morning to make a card. Also,  this week's parameters immediately gave me an idea:

element: country

random: frame(s).

 

Hier ist meine Karte. Sie hat die Maße 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" und ist somit eine Ardyth's Square. Ich habe ein Stück türkisfarbenen Cardstocks in 4"  4" zugeschnitten und mit einem Holz-Embossingfolder von SU das Holzmuster hineingeprägt. 

 

Here's my card. It is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and that means it's an Ardyth's Square. I cut a piece of aqua cardstock to 4" x 4" and dry embossed it with a woodgrain embossingflolder by SU.

 

 Bei den Parametern Rahmen und Country musste ich sofrt an die Postage Collage Windows und die dazugehörigen Silhouette-Stempelsets von WaffleFlower denken. 

Ich habe erst die Postage Collage Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und drei der Briefmarken ausgeschnitten. Für die habe ich dann weißen Cardstock mit der Postage Collage Blocks Stanze ausgestanzt und sie dann mit Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade und Crackling Campfire gewischt. Orange und türkis ist für mich auf jeden Fall eine aufregende Farbkombi. 

Auf die Rechtecke habe ich dann mit Stempeln aus dem Set Postage Collage Autumn Sunset und Versafine Clair Nocturne verschiedene Szenen aufgestempelt. Die habe ich dann auf die Briefmarken geklebt und die passenden Fensterrahmen, gemacht aus weißem Cardstock mit der Postage Collage Windows Stanze, aufgeklebt.

 

When I saw the parameters frame(s) and country I immediately had the Postage Collage Windows and the silhouette stamps by WaffleFlower in mind.  

I first die cut the Postage Collage die from black cardstock and cut out three of the postage stamps. For those I cut the matching toppers from white cardstock using the Postage Collage Blocks die. I inked these rectangles with Distress Ink Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire. Orange and teal is for sure an exciting color combo to me.

I used the Postage Collage Autumn Sunset stamp set and Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp different fall scenes onto the rectangles. I glued them onto the postage stamps and put the matching window frames, made from white cardstock with the Postage Collage Windows die, around/onto them. 

 

 

 Für meinen Text habe ich ein Fall Blessings aus dem Set Autumn Blessing von MFT weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Dahinter befinden sich ein Ahornblatt, Eicheblätter und ein paar Eicheln, alle aus dem Fall Leaves Backdrop von LawnFawn Set. Ich hatte ein Rechteck mehr gewischt und die Blätter daraus ausgestanzt. Die Eichelnstiele sind aus schwarzem Cardstock, die Eicheln aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. 

 

For my text I white heat embossed a Fall Blessings from Autumn Blessings by MFT onto black cardstock and cut it out with my scissors. Behind it I put an acorn leaf, some oak leaves and two acorns, all  made using dies from Fall Leaves Backdrop by LawnFawn. I had inked an additional Postage Collage Blocks rectangle and cut the leaves from that.  The acorn stems I have cut from black cardstock, the acorns from matte gold metallic cardstock. 

 

 Ich habe die Briefmarken auf den Hintergrund geklebt und auf die freie Stelle unten links den Text angbracht, auf der sich auch super eine vierte Szene gemacht hätte. Den habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe  ich einige goldene Perlen auf der Karte verteilt, den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und zum Schluss alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

I glued the postage stamps onto the background and placed my text in the bottom left in the free space, where you could add another scene, too. The text I backed with thin foam tape.

 I added some gold pearls as decoratin, matted the aqua cardstock black and then glued everything onto a white card base.

 

Und hier noch der Parameter-Check:

Square Card: ich habe eine Ardyth's Square Karte gemacht.

Excited Colors: orannge und türkis - wegen des Kontrast super aufregend für mich

Country: Hinter meinen Fensternn gibt es verschiedene, ländliche Herbstszenen.

Frame(s): Um jeder der kleinen Szenen befindet sich ein Rahmen in Form eines Fensters.

Craft Roulette Episode #331

 

Hallo Ihr  Lieben!

Bei den Vorgaben, die das Rad für die Episode 331 von Craft Roulette ausgegeben hat, war ich ja erstmal der Meinung, dazu würde mir nie was einfallen und ich setze diese Woche aus. Das muss ich aber schon nächste Woche tun. Und außerdem - Komfortzone verlassen etc.... Und nach ein wenig überlegen, fiel mir dann doch etwas ein.

Die Vorgaben diese Woche sind:

When I heard about the parameters, Mr. Wheel had brought up for this week's episode of Craftt Roulette I was tempted to sit this one out because I had no idea how to combine these. But I already have to skip next week's episode. And also - leaving the comfort zone etc... And after a bit of thinking I really had an idea.

The parameters this week are:

project: 4" x 8" card

colors: excited

element: cold or chilly

random: stitches. 

 

Na, wäre Euch dazu was eingefallen? Ich habe dann erstmal überlegt, was den so ungfähr die Dimensionen/Größenverhältnisse einer 4" x 8" Karte hat - und das zum Thema Kälte passt. Eine Winterkarte war für mich ausgeschlossen. Und dann fiel mir ein Kühlschrank ein. Ta-Da, da war meine Idee! Unter der Farbvorgabe "excited" konnte  ich mir nicht wirklich was vorstellen - was ist eine aufregende Farbkombi? Also habe  ich Goog.e befragt und der meinte "orange und pink" oder auch "türkis und orange". Na, das passte doch zu dem Retro-Kühlschrank, der mir vorschwebte.

Den habe ich dann aus einem Stück 10 x 20 cm großen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks gemacht und  Falzlinien gezogen und so die Kartenfront in 3 Teile geteilt: ein Tiefkühlfach, die Kühlschranktür und den Unterbau. Die Falzlinien habe ich dann noch mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt.

Die oberen beiden Ecken des Cardstocks habe ich dann mit  einem Corner Punch abgerundet. Und aus dem unteren Teil habe ich links und rechts einen schmalen Streifen  herausgeschnitten und mit einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks so hinterlegt, dass er auch unten ein kleines Stück sichtbar ist. 
Die einzelnen Bereiche habe ich dann ein wenig mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers schattiert. 

Für die Griffe musste ich ein wenig kreativ werden. Ich habe sie dann mit dem Stiel der Schaufel aus einem der Build-a-House AddOn  Sets von LawnFawn gemacht und dabei  erst nur den oberen Teil, weiter unten den unteren um 180 Grad gedreht aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und die beiden Linien dann mit dem Cutter verbunden.  

Und wie wohl viele, ist auch unser Kühlschrank mit Postkarten, Zetteln, Magneten und allem möglich anderem geschmückt. Das durfte natürlich auch auf meinem Kühlschrank nicht fehlen.  

 

Would you have had an idea for these parameters? I first thougth about things that have about this size/size ratio of a 4" cx 8" card - and goes with the cold or chilly theme. I didn't want to make a winter card. And then I thought of a fridge and voila - there was the idea I was looking for. I really didn't know what an "excited" color combo is so I asked Goog.e. It said "orange and pink" or "aqua and orange". Well, that went perfectly with the retro fridge I had in mind.

I created it from a 10 x 20 cm piece of aqua cardstock - that is about the size of 4" x 8" - and added three score lines across the paper to create three areas on my card: the freezer door, the fridge door and the bottom. I used a black fineliner to make the score lines a bit more noticable.

I used a corner punch to round the top two corners. And from the bottom area I cut off small pieces on the left and right side and backed those with a piece  of black cardstock, making sure a small part of it is also visible at the bottom.

I used Distress Ink Peacock Feathers to lightly shade the three areas. 

For the handles I had to get a bit creative. I used the handle of a spade from one of the Build-a-House AddOn sets by LawnFawn, die cutting the top, then the bottom turned 180 degrees from silver metallic ardstock and then connecting the two parts with my paper cutter. 

And as many also in our house we use the front of the fridge to pin a lot of stuff like postcards, notes, magnets etc to it. That's what inspired me for the decorations here.

 

 Die Tür des Tiefkühlfaches ist mit Magneten dekoriert: einer in Eisform, gemacht mit einer Stanze von Gummiapan, zwei orangefarbenen in Sternform und einem grünen Enamel Dot. Das Eis passt natürlich auch super zur "cool or chilly" Voragbe. Die Sterne habe ich mit Glossy Accents  überzogen. Zwei der Magnete halten Zettel. Dafür habe ich einfach einen Streifen hellgrünen Cardstocks ausgestanzt und in mehrere Teile gerissen. Der Text darauf ist mit einem schwarzen Fineliner gemacht. 

Darüber befindet sich ein Schild - Typenschild, Herstellerschild - was auch immer. Dafür habe ich ein Treat Yourself aus einem Set von MFT schwarz auf cremefarbenen Cardstock gestempelt, einen schwarzen Rahmen drumherum gemalt und dann alles auf matt-silbernen Metallic-Cardstock geklebt. Außerdem habe ich vier Schrauben mit einem silbernen Gelstift aufgemalt.

Damit alles auf dem Kühlschrank schön plastisch wirkt, habe ich um alle kleinen Elemente einen Schatten mit einem Alcoholmarker in einem dunkleren Ton als die Tür aufgemalt. 

 

The door of the freezer is decorated with some magnets - one in the form of an ice cream cone made using a die by Gummiapan, two orange star shaped ones and a green Enamel Dot. The ice cream cone also goes with the "cool  or chilly" parameter.  I covered the stars with Glossy Accents. Two of those magnets are holding some notes in place. For these I just die cut a strip from bright green cardstock and tore it into pieces. The text on them is made with a black fineliner.

Above the magnets I added a label - freezer type, brand, whatever.  I stamped a "treat yourself" from a set by MFT with black ink onto a piece  of cream colored cardstock, drew a thin frame around it and then glued it onto a piece  of matte silver metallic cardstock. I also added some screws with a silver gel pen. 

To make sure everything looks a bit more dimensional on those doors I used an alcohol marker, a bit darker than the aqua shade of my fridge, and drew a shadow around each of the elements.

 

 Am unteren Ende des Kühlschranks habe ich ein Abluftgitter angebracht. Die ist mit einer Stanze von Magnolia - eigentlich ein Grillrost - gemacht. Ich habe es aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt, schwarz hinterlegt und aufgeklebt.

 

At the  bottom of the fridge I added a ventilation grille. I made that using a die by Magnolia - originally part of a BBQ grill - from silber metallic cardstock, then put some black cardstock behind it.

 

 Auf der Kühlschranktür befindet sich dann ein weiterer Text: you're so cool. Das "you're so" ist wie das Label auf dem Tiefkühlfach gemacht. Die Buchstaben für das Wort cool habe ich aus schwarzem und aus orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und die orangefarbenen Buchstaben mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade etwas schattiert. Dann habe ich sie etwas versetzt aufeinander und unter das kleine Label geklebt. 

Drumherum befinden sich dann noch mehr Magnete und Notizen, außerdem ein Flaschenöffner, eine Postkarte und ein Polaroid, das von einem Magneten in Form eine Limettenscheibe gehalten wird. Auf der Postkarte befinden sich übrigens die Stitches, die in die Postkarte eingestanzt werden.

 

On the fridge door there's another text: you're so cool. The "you're so" is made just like the label on the freezer. The letters for the word cool I die cut from black and orange cardstock and shaded the orange ones with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade. I stacked the letters a bit offset, then glued them onto the fridge door, just under the label.

Around this text there are more magnets and notes and also a bottle opener, a postcard and a polaroid, that is held in place by a magnet in the shape of a lime slice. On the postcard there are the stitches, that the die cuts into the paper. 

 

 Ich habe alle Elemente direkt  auf die  Kartenfront geklebt, die unteren Ende der Notizen habe ich mit den Fingern etwas nach oben gebogen. 

 

I adhered all the elements dirctly onto the card front, the bottom ends of the notes I bent a bit upwards using my fingers. 

 

Nun, hier hätte ich meine Karte eigentlich für fertig erklären können.  Hätte.... Mir fehlte noch das besondere Etwas. Deswegen:

 

This is the point where I could have stopped. Could.... It felt like the card was just missing something. So I added this:

 

 Ich fand, der Kühlschrank sollte sich öffnen lassen. Dafür muss er natürlich gefüllt werden. Leider fehlte mir die Zeit, Motive für den gesamten Kühlschrank zu colorieren - mit Colaflaschen, Eiern, Fleisch, Gemüse und Co hätte das bestimmt gut ausgesehen. Also habe ich nur den oberen Teil des Kühlschranks modifiziert und das Tiefkühlfach lässt sich öffnen. Und darin befindet sich natürlich Eiscreme!

Ich habe das Tiefkühlfach von der Kartenfront abgeschnitten, und hinter den Kühlschrank weißen Cardstock geklebt, den ich ebenfalls oben abgerundet habe. Hinter dem weißen Cardstock habe ich einen Streifen gefalteten türkisfarbenen Cardstocks angebracht, der als Scharnier dient und mit dem die Türe befestigt ist. Das Scharnier habe ich mit dem Ink Blending recht gut kaschieren können. 

 

I liked the idea of the fridge opening up. Of course it needed to be filled then. Unfortunately I didn't have time to color elements for the whole fridge. I would have been great filled with soda bottles, eggs, meat, veggies etc. So instead I only did that for the freezer part and of course it is filled with ice cream!

I cut off the freezer of the card front and put some white cardstock on top of the fridge, rounding the corners, too. Then I put a strip of aqua colored cardstock behind the white cardstock, folding it and using it as a hinge to hold the freezer door. I was able to mask that pretty well with my ink blending. 

 

 Onto the back of the freezer door I adhered three more orange stars and another text, again designed like a label, saying "you deserve this". 

Außerdem habe ich hier auf beide Teile nochmal eine Naht aufgemalt - sicher ist sicher. Die Stitches auf der Postkarte waren schon sehr minimal.

I also added some more stitches to both inner parts of the freezer - just to be safe. The ones on the postcard were very minimal. 

 

 Den weißen Teil hinter der Tiefkühltür habe ich dann wie das Innere eines Tiefkühlfachs coloriert. Darin befinden sich dann drei große Eisbecher. Die sind aus dem Set Treat Yourself von LawnFawn. Ich habe sie farblich passend zum Äußeren des Kühlschranks coloriert. 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt, der genau die selbe Größe und abgerundete Ecken wie der Kühlschrank hat, so dass er nicht sichtbar ist. 

 

I colored the white part behind the freezer door like the inside of a freezer.  Then I glued three boxes of ice cream "inside" it. These are from Treat Yourself by LawnFawn and colored using the same colors that I also used on the outside. 

In the end I glued everything onto a white card base, that has the exact same size and shape as the fridge and isn't visible when the card is closed. 

 

Und jetzt noch der obligatorische Parameter-Check:

4" x 8" card: 20 x 10 cm - also fast. Aber so passt sie noch in ein deutsches DinLang Kuvert.

Excited colors: Laut Goog.e fällt die Kombo aus türkis und orange in diese Kategorie.  

Cold or chilly: das sollte es in einem Kühlschrank und Tiefkühler sein, sonst gibt es ein Problem.

Stitches: befinden sich auf der Postkart auf der Kühlschranktür sowie im Inneren des Tiefkühlfachs.

Am Freitag gab es wieder eine neue Episode von Craft Roulette und ich habe den gestrigen Samstag dazu genutzt, ein Werk mit den Parametern dieser Woche zu machen. Es ist keine Karte geworden, sondern ein großer Tag. Und weil ich zu einem der Parameter tatsächlich nichts da hatte, war die Episode eine Herausforderung für mich. Aber ich habe einen Weg gefunden.

Die Parameter diese Woche lauten:

Friday a new episode of Craft Roulette aired and I used yesterday to make my project with the new parameters. I didn't make a card but a large tag. And because there's one of the parameters that I didn't  have anything for this episode was a real challenge. But I found a way.

This week's parameters are:

project: tag with pocket

colors: trick or treat

element: robot(s)

random: three strips of paper.

And yes, I really was at a loss in the first moment.

 

Im Endeffek habe ich einen großen Tag gestaltet, den ich mit einer Stanze von Sizzix aus Designpapier mit Weltallmuster gestanzt habe. Die Lage aus weißem Cardstock dahinter habe ich dann per Hand zugeschnitten und beide Teile aufeinander geklebt.

 

Finally I decided to make a large tag, die cutting it with a die by Sizzix from patterned paper with a space pattern. I cut the white layer behind it with my paper cutter and glued both pieces together.

 

 Für die Tasche, die  auf dem Tag enthalten sein soll, habe ich die Money Pocket Stanze von LawnFawn benutzt. Da die wie eine Jacken- oder Hosentasche aussieht,  habe ich sie aus blauem Papier mit Jeansmuster ausgestanzt. Das Blau passt auch super zum Designpapier im Hintergrund. Die Teile habe ich mit Alcoholmarkern ein wenig schattiert. 

Ich habe den Knopf aus orangefarbenem Hologramm-Cardstock gestanzt, die hintere Lage, die tatsächlich eine Tasche ist, aus olivgrünem Cardstock. So bekommt mein Werk auch gleich Halloween-Farben. Durch die Löcher im Knopf habe ich schwarzes Twine gezogen. 

Und hier habe ich dann auch die drei Papierstreifen, ein weiterer Parameter, untergebracht. Dafür  habe ich je einen orangefarbenen Hologramm-Cardstock- und einen silbernen Glittercardstock-Streifen quer über den Tag und auch die olivgrüne Tasche geklebt. Den dritten Streifen habe ich benutzt, um meinen Text unterzubringen. Der Streifen ist aus schwarzem Cardstock, ich habe einen Text aus dem You're Clawsome Stempelset von LawnFawn weiß darauf embosst.  

Und weil es so schön zum Thema Roboter passt, habe ich mit Stanzen von Sizzix einige Zahnräder aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und im unteren Teil als Deko auf den Tag geklebt.

 

For the pocket, that had to be included, I used the Money Pocket die by LawnFawn. Since it looks like the pocket of some trousers or a jacket I die cut it from blue paper with a jeans pattern. The blue also goes perfectly with the patterned paper in the background. I shaded the pieces with alcohol markers.

The button I die cut from orange holographic cardstock, the back layer, that is actually a pocket, from olive green cardstock. This way I was adding the Halloween colors. I put some black twine through the holes in the button.

And here I also added the three strips of paper that were one of the parameters. I cut one strip from orange holographic cardstock, one from silver glitter cardstock and glued both across the tag and also the olive green pocket. The third strip I used to add my text. I cut the strip from black cardstock and white heat embossed a text from You're Clawsome by LawnFawn onto it.

And because it goes perfectly with the robot theme I used dies by Sizzix to die cut some gears from matte silver metallic cardstock and added those to the bottom of the tag.

 

 Und dann musste ich kreativ werden. Das einzige Roboter-Motiv, das ich habe, ist von LawnFawn und war viel zu klein für meine Karte. Also habe ich überlegt, was sonst passen könnte und mir sind die Roboter-Arme aus dem Galaxy Transport Stanzenset von StudioLight eingefallen. Aus denen und der Kuppel des Ufos habe ich dann einen Roboter gebastelt. Ich habe ihn aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und mittig aus dem Gesicht ein Fenster herausgeschnitten. Um das habe ich einen dünnen Rahmen aus grünem Metallic-Cardstock geklebt und es mit orangefarbenem Hologramm-Cardstock hinterlegt. Das ist der Bildschirm mit den Augen. Die bestehen aus grünen Wackelaugen, außerdem habe ich zwei rosafarbene Backen aufgeklebt. Oben am Kopf befindet sich eine grüne Antenne, die ebenfalls aus dem Galaxy Transport Set ist. 

Um den Roboter etwas mechanischer aussehen zu lassen, habe ich rechts und links des Kopf zwei Schrauben aus silbernem Hologramm-Cardstock angebracht, die mit einer Stanze aus dem Build-a-Toolbox Set von LawnFawn sind. Aus dem selben Cardstock habe ich dann noch einige kleine Schrauben ausgestanzt und auf dem Roboter verteilt. 

Ich habe den Roboter hinter die blaue Tasche geklebt. Über ihm befindet sich dann noch eine Sprechblase. Sie ist aus schwarzem Cardstock, auf den ich weiß einen Text aus dem Set Retro Game von HeroArts aufembosst habe. 

 

And then I had to get creative. The only robot image I have is by LawnFawn but it was way too small for my card. So I tried to find something I could build a robot from - and came across the robot arms from Galaxy Transport by StudioLight. I used these and the top of the UFO to create my robot. I die cut the pieces from silver glitter cardstock and cut a window from the center of the face. I put a thin frame, cut from green metallic cardstock, around it and backed it with orange holographic cardstock. This makes the screen with the eyes. For the eyes I used some green googly eyes. I also added some pink cheeks. And on top of  the head I glued a gren antenna, that is again made using a die from Galaxy Transport.

To make the robot look a bit more mechanically I glued a screw behind the left and right of the head, made from silver holographic cardstock using a die from Build-a-Toolbox by LawnFawn. From the same cardstock I also cut some small screw heads and glued those onto the robot.

I tucked the robot behind the blue pocket. Above it I added a speech bubble. I made that from black cardstock, that I white heat embossed one of the texts from Retro Game by HeroArts onto.  

 

 In die grüne Tasche kann man dann auch eine Geschenkkarte stecken. Damit die auch problemlos reingeschoben/rausgezogen werden kann, habe ich die Sprechblase an einem Streifen Acetate geklebt und das andere Ende hinter dem Roboter angeklebt. So schwebt sie quasi über dem Tag.

 

You can put a giftcard into the green pocket. To make sure it can easily be put in and taken out I glued it to a strip of acetate and adhered the other end to the robot's back. This way it's kind of floating on the tag.

 

 Zum Schluss fehlte noch etwas am oberen Ende des Tags.

Ich habe den Lochverstärker durch ein weiteres Zahnrad ersetzt und ein kleineres daneben geklebt.

Dann habe ich aus olivgrünem Cardstock eine der Regency Bow No 1 Schleifen von TheGreetery ausgestanzt, ein wenig mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert und oben auf den Tag geklebt.

 

In the end the top of my tag was missing some decoration.

I replaced the hole reinforer with another gear and glued a smaller one next to it. Then I die cut one of the Regency Bow No 1 dies by TheGreetery from olive green cardstock, lightly shaded it with alcohol markers and glued it to the top of the tag.

 

 Da die olivgrüne Tasche bereits etwas erhöht ist, habe ich den blauen Aufleger und auch den schwarzen Textstreifen jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Alle anderen Teile sind direkt auf den Tag geklebt. 

 

Since the green pocket is alreay a bit raised I only backed the blue pocket and the black text strip with thin foam tape. All the other pieces I glued directly onto the tag.

 

Und dies ist mal wieder ein Werk, das ich so garantiert nie gemacht hätte. Aber genau das mag ich an Craft Roulette - es holt einen definitiv aus der Komfortzone!

Machen wir noch den Parameter-Check:

Tag with Pocket: Ich habe einen großen Tag gemacht und sogar zwei Taschen darauf angebracht.

Trick or Treat Colors, also Halloween: dunkelblau, orange, olivgrün und silber gehören für mich definitiv in diese Kategorie.

Robot(s): hinter der blauen Tasche schaut ein - selbstgebauter - Roboter hervor.

Three strips of Paper: ein orangefarbener und ein silberfarbener Streifen quer über den Tag und die Tasche, der dritte Streifen darüber enthält meinen Text. 

 

And this is once again a project I would never have made like this on my own. But that's what I love about Craft Roulette: it definately makes you leave your comfort zone!

Auch dieses Wochenende habe ich es geschafft, eine Karte nach den Vorgaben der Episode #329 von Craft Roulette zu machen. Manchmal bin ich mir da im Vorfeld nicht so ganz sicher, aber bis jetzt hat es doch immer geklappt.

Also this weekend I managed to make a card after the parameters of episode #329 of Craft Roulette. I am not always sure if I'll make it, but it worked out every weekend so far.

This episode's parameters are:

colors: roadside market

element: plant(s)

Diesmal hat es wieder ein wenig gedauert, bis ich eine Idee zur Karte hatte, urpsrünglich wollte ich ein Gewächshaus als Hauptelement einbauen. Aber dann habe ich mich spontan umentschieden.

Die Book Binding Card hat mich auf die Idee gebracht, gleich ein ganzes Buch - natürlich samt dem geforderten Streifen, neben dem die Karte aufgeklappt wird - als Karte zu machen. Die Have a Spine Stanze von TheGreetery erledigt da fast  die komplette Arbeit. ;)

Ich habe das Cover aus hellbeigem, den Buchrücken aus hellgrünem Cardstock und die Buchseiten unten aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Im Inneren ist die Karte weiß. 

Zwischen die goldenen Seiten am unteren Ende des Buches, habe ich ein rotes Fähnchen als Lesezeichen geschoben. Das ist aus dem Have a Spine Short Story Set, der kleinen Schwester des Have a Spine Stanzensets. 

Den Buchrücken habe ich mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage, das Cover mit Antique Linen und ein wenig Frayed Burlap gewischt. Dann habe ich auf das Cover mit dem Canvas Stempel, einem alten Hintergrund von SU, eine Leinenstruktur aufgestempelt. Die ist ja quasi ein sehr enges Grid. Zum Aufstempeln habe ich wieder Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap verwendet. 

Auf den Buchrücken habe ich mit Versafine Clair Pinecone einen Text aus dem Itty Bitty Thanks  Stempelset von MFT aufgestempelt, den ich aus zwei Stempeln des Sets zusammengesetzt habe. 

 

This time it took me a bit again until I had an idea for my card. Orginally I was thinking about adding a greenhouse as the main element. But then I changed my mind.

The book binding card parameter gave me the idea of giving my whole card the look of a book - of course including the spine, next to which the card gets opened up. The Have a Spine die by TheGreetery nearly does the whole work here. ;)

I die cut the cover from light beige, the spine from light green cardstock and the pages at the bottom from matte gold metallic cardstock. The inside of the card I kept white.

Between the gold pages at the bottom of the card I tucked a red banner as a bookmark. It's from Have a Spine Short Story, the smaller version of the Have a Spine die.

I inked the spine with Distress Ink Bundled Sage, the cover with Antique Linen  and a bit of Frayed Burlap. Then I used the Canvas stamp, a really old background by SU, to stamp some kind of linen texture onto the cover. It is a very tight grid, right? To stamp the grid on I used Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap again.

Onto the spine I stamped a text from Itty Bitty Thanks by MFT, using Versafine Clair Pinecone and putting the text together by combining two stamps from the set.

 

 Auf ein Stück etwas dunkler-beigen Cardstocks habe ich dann den Rahmen aus dem Set Fall Harvest von PapertreyInk gold aufembosst. Bei diesem Stempel habe ich den gefüllten unteren Bereich mit der Schere herausgeschnitten, so kann ich ihn in einer anderen Farbe abstempeln. Ich habe hier wieder Bundled Sage verwendet. Wiederum mit Versafine Clair Pinecone habe ich dann den Fall Harvest Text aus dem selben Stempelset aufgestempelt.

Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich mit Frayed Burlap gewischt und den Bereich in der Mitte herausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich alles mit dunkelgelbem Cardstock hinterlegt. Den habe ich in der Mitte ebenfalls  mit Frayed Burlap abgedunkelt. Die vier kleinen Blätter  im Rahmen habe  ich mit  einem grünen Polychromo ausgemalt.  

 In die Mitte des Labels habe ich dann viele herbstliche Motive gesetzt, mit denen sowohl das Parameter Plant(s) als auch Roadside Market Colors abgedeckt sind. An so einem Marktstand entlang der Straße bekommt man ja allerhand an Gemüse und Blumen in allen Farben - bei mir ist passend zum Text natürlich schon der Herbst eingezogen. 

Die kleinen Motive sind alle aus verschiedenen Sets von LawnFawn. Im einzelnen habe ich die Sets Make Lemonade (Obstkiste), Happy Harvest (Sonnenblumen), Veggie Happy (Tomatenpflanze, Salat, Karotte,  Rübe), Garden Mouse (Blumentopf) sowie Spring Basket AddOn Fall (Füllung  der Obstkiste und Schnecke) verwendet. Alle Motive sind mit Alcoholmarkern coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Ebenfalls aus dem Have a Spine Short Story Set von TheGreetery habe ich noch die Buchecke viermal aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und rund um das Label auf dem Buchcover angeklebt. Dazwischen habe ich feine Linien mit einem braunen Fineliner gezogen.

Und  unter dem Label habe ich noch einen weiteren Text aus dem Set Autumn Blessing von MFT angebracht. Der ist weiß auf braunen Cardstock embosst. 

 

 Onto a piece of a bit darker beige cardstock I gold heat embossed the frame from Fall Harvest by PapertreyInk. With this stamp I have cut out the solid area at the bottom - carefully with my scissors - so I can stamp that in a different color. I used Bundled Sage again, then stamped the Fall Harvest text from the same set on top with Versafine Clair Pinecone. 

In inked the edges of the cardstock with Frayed Burlap and cut out the area in the center. Then I matted the label with dark yellow cardstock, that I have darkened with Frayed Burlap again in the center. The four tiny leaves on the frame I filled with a green Polychromo.

Into the center of the label I stamped a lot of fall images, that do not only cover the Plant(s) parameter but also the  roadside market colors. On a market stand along the  road you can buy all kinds of vegetables and flowers in all colors - matching the text on my card I went with fall produce.

The small images are all from different sets by LawnFawn. I used Make Lemonade (crate), Happy Harvest (sunflowers), Veggie Happy (tomato  plant, lettuce, carrot, beet), Garden Mouse (flower pot) and Spring Basket AddOn Fall (crate content and snail). I colored all images with alcohol markers and cut them out with my scissors. 

Also from Have a Spine Short Story by TheGreetery I die cut the corners four times from matte gold metallic cardstock and glued them around  the  label onto the cover. Between them I drew lines with a brown fineliner. 

Under the label I added another text from Autumn Blessings by MFT, white heat embossing it onto brown cardstock. 

 

 Das beige Label habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den gelben Cardstock darunter geklebt, die kleinen Motive sind alle mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige goldene Perlen auf das Buchcover geklebt.

 

I used thin foam tape to glue the beige label onto the yellow cardstock behind it, the small images I backed with thick foam tape.

Then I glued a few gold pearls as decoration onto the book cover. 

 

 Und hier zum Beweis, dass das tatsächlich eine Book Binding Card ist - und für alle, die - wie ich - mit dem Begriff  nichts anfangen können - noch ein Bild davon, wie sich die Karte öffnen lässt. Es klappt hier nur der Bereich rechts des Buchrückens nach oben. 

 

And here as proof that this really is a book binding card - and for all of you that might not know this type of card, just like me - a pic of how the card opens. Only the part to the right of the spine opens up.

 

Zum Schluss dann noch der obligatorische Parameter-Check:

 Roadside Market Colors: ich habe all die leuchtenden Farben verwendet, die die Herbsternte bietet: orange, gelb, grün, rot und ein bisschen dunkels pink. 

Plant(s): Auf meiner Karte findet sich eine Tomatenpflanze, zwei Sonnenblumen und auch das Gemüse fällt unter die Pflanzenkategorie.

Grid: Die Leinenstruktur auf meiner Karte ist ein enges Netz.

Craft Roulette Episode #328

Inzwischen habe ich es mir zu einer Art Routine gemacht, samstags eine Karte nach den Vorgaben von Craft Roulette zu machen. Das läuft ja immer Freitag nachts unserer Zeit... Diese Karte ist für Episode #328 und die Vorgaben, die das Rad ermittelt hat, waren diesmal:

Since a few weeks I have made it some kind of routine to pass the saturday with making a card after the parameters ofr Craft Roulette. The show runs friday night my time.... This card I made for episode #328 and the parameter the wheel has brought up are:

project: A2 card

colors: tutti frutti

element: container

random: unusual color(s).

 

Nun, Container lässt wieder viel Freiraum für Ideen und auch Auslegungen. Da ich das Farbschema  Tutti Frutti nicht unbedingt mit Früchten kombinieren wollte, habe ich alles wie Schüsseln, Einkauftaschen, Körbe etc. für mich ausgeschlossen und kam ziemlich schnell auf eine Sardinenbüchse. Der Rest hat sich dann beim Basteln von selbst ergeben.

Der Hintergrund ist ein mit Distress Inks Dried Marigold, Wild Honey und Picked Raspberry gewischtes Stück weißen Cardstockstocks. Um ihn etwas interessanter zu machen habe ich erst Distress Mica Spray in den Farben Antique Bronze, Winterberry und Cocktail Party aufgespritzt, die passen ganz gut zu den zum Wischen verwendeten Farben. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann mit weißer Pigment-Tinte den Scallop Stripes Background von MFT aufgestempelt. 

 

Well, container once again leaves a lot of freedom for ideas and ways to interpret that. I knew I didn't want to combine the tutti frutti colors with fruits an so I didn't want to use anything like bowls, shopping bags, baskets etc. I pretty quickly thought of a sardine tin. The other ideas just popped up in my head during the making of this card.

The background is a piece of white cardstock that I inked with Distress Ink Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Picked Raspberry. To make it a bit more interesting I first sprayed on some Distress Mica Spray in the colors Antique Bronze, Winterberry  and Cocktail Party. These match the colors I had used to ink the white cardstock pretty well. After the background had dried I used some white pigment ink to stamp the Scallop Stripes Background by MFT on top.

 

 Für meine Sardinenbüchse habe ich Stanzen aus dem Set Packed with Love von HeroArts mit der Sardine Tin und dem passenden Stempelset von Magnolia kombiniert. 

Ich dachte mir, wenn schon "unusual colors" dann soll sich das Thema auch durch die  komplette Karte ziehen. Der orange-pinke Wellenhintergrund hat den Anfang gemacht, meine Sardinenbüchse habe ich aus gelbem Cardstock gemacht. Die sind eigentlich ja eher blau oder türkis. Der Boden besteht aus einem etwas dunkleren Ton, den Deckel habe ich mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. Auf den Deckel habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte das "Deckelmotiv" von Magnolia  aufgestempelt, dann habe ich den oberen Teil weggeschnitten, die Kante aufgerollt und den "Schlüssel" hineingeschoben. Den habe ich, genauso wie die silbernen Ränder, aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks gestanzt, auf das ich mit doppelseitigem Tape vollflächig Alufolie - matte Seite nach oben - aufgeklebt habe. 

Den Rand der Büchse habe ich mit drei Lagen aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt, damit die Fische  etwas mehr Platz haben. Die Fische sind, genauso wie die Elemente für die Büchse, aus dem Packed with Love Stanzenset von HeroArts. Ich habe mich für pinkfarbene Fische entschieden - jeder Fisch besteht aus einem hellen und einem dunklen Fisch. Von den dunklen Fischen habe ich die Köpfe abgeschnitten und sie dann auf die helleren Fische aufgeklebt. Auch hier habe ich die Teile mit Alkoholmarkern schattiert. Außerdem habe ich Stickles auf die Fischschuppen aufgetragen. Und hier passten Wackelaugen, die ich sonst eigentlich nicht so gerne mag, einfach perfekt. Also habe ich die auf die ausgestanzten Augen aufgeklebt. 

Und weil Sardinen immer in Öl schwimmen, habe ich etwas Glossy Accents rund um die Fische  verteilt. 

Ich habe drei kleine rote Herzen, gemacht mit Stanzen von Create a Smile, über den Fischen verteilt. Außerdem habe ich hinter der oberen rechten Ecke der Sardinenbüchse einen kleinen Text angebracht. Der ist aus dem Sardine Tin Stempelset von Magnolia und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich ihn mit einer Kreisstanze ausgestanzt. 

 

For the sardine tin I combined dies from the die sets Packed with Love by HeroArts and Sardine Tin - and the matching stamp set - by Magnolia.

I thought, if I am going to use "unusual colors" than I them on my entire card. I started with the orange and pink wave background, the sardine tin I created from yellow cardstock. Usually they come in blues or aquas. I used a slightly darker shade for the bottom, the lid I shaded with alcohol markers. Onto the lid I stamped the "sardine tin lid image" by Magnolia, then I cut away the top, rolled the edge up and tucked the "key" into it. I die  cut that and also the silver brims of the tin from some white cardstock, that I had covered with some tin foil - matte side up - using wide doublesided tape. 

The brim of the tin I backed with three layers cut from black cardstock so my fish have a bit of room. The fish, and also the tin, are from Packed with Love by HeroArts. I decided to go with pink fish - each fish is made from a light and a dark layer. I cut off the head of the dark layers and then glued the body onto the fish cut from lighter cardstock. Again I shaded the pieces with alcohol markers. I also applied some Stickles to the fish' scales. And here some googly eyes - that I don't like with most images - were just perfect. So I glued some onto the eyes that get cut into the heads. 

And because sardines usually come in oil I applied some Glossy Accents around the fish.

I added three small red hearts, made using dies by Create a Smile. I also tucked a text under the top right corner of the tin. It's from Sardine Tin by Magnolia and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. Then I cut it out with a circle die. 

 

 Sardinen und Zitronen passen ja super zusammen, deswegen habe ich auch welche auf meiner Karte eingebaut. Die habe ich dann rot coloriert - gestanzt habe ich sie aus ganz hellrosa Cardstock. Die größere Zitrone ist aus dem Set Zesty Lemon von LawnFawn, die halbe Zitrone daneben von MemoryBox. 

Neben den Zitronen habe ich dann einen weiteren Text, wieder aus dem Set von Magnolia und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, angebracht. Außerdem habe ich ein weiteres Herz auf die ganze Zitrone geklebt.

 

Sardines and lemons go together so wonderfully that I decided to put some onto my card. I colored those red - after die cutting them from very light pink cardstock.  The larger of the lemons is from Zesty Lemon by LawnFawn, the half one by MemoryBox. 

Next to the lemons I added another text, again from the set by Magnolia and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I also glued another red heart onto the whole lemon. 

 

 Da die Sardinenbüchse ja durch den erhöhten Rand und den aufgerollten Deckel etwas höher ausgefallen ist, habe ich die Zitronen mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Perlen auf der Karte verteilt, dann habe ich den Kartenaufleger erst schwarz gemattet und ihn dann auf einen weißen Kartenrohling in A2 geklebt.

 Und nun noch schnell einen Parameter-Check:

Since the sardine tin with its tripled up brim and the rolled up lid did turn out a bit thicker I  backed the lemons with thick foam tape.

As decoration I added a few white peals, then I matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white card base in A2 size.

So let's do a quick parameter check:

In den letzten Wochen habe ich mir angewöhnt, den Bastel-Samstag für Craft Roulette freizuhalten. So auch diese Woche, und hier seht Ihr mein Ergebnis zu den Parametern:

A few weeks ago I have started to save my saturdays to make my entry for Craft Roulette. That happened also this week and here's my card that I used this week's parameters on:

 Ich finde es so faszinierend, wie schnell man tatsählich eine Idee zu den Vorgaben hat, die man im Normalfall wohl eher weniger zum Thema für eine Karte machen würde. Diesmal hat es ein wenig länger gedauert, allerdings lag das hauptsächlich daran, dass die Vorgabe "interactive card" so viele Möglichkeiten bot und ich mich erst für eine entscheiden musste. Geworden ist es dann eine Slider Card.

Der Hintergrund  besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

It's so fascinating to me how quickly I have an idea with the parameters, that I for sure would not combine/use on any other card. This time it took me a bit longer, the main reason for that was, that the parameter "interactive card" left so many possibilities and I had to decide on one first. I made a slider card in the end.

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock. I inked it from the bottom up with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon and added splatters of white acrylic paint. 

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte befindet sich eine Wildblumenwiese mit Gras. 

Ich habe die Graslagen aus verschiedenen Tönen grünen Cardstocks gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn und Peeled Paint gewischt. Nun war mir tatsächlich nicht klar, dass ink edging bedeutet, das Stempelkissen direkt auf den Rand des Cardstocks zu drücken. Das habe ich dann auf der hellgrünen Lage Gras nachgeholt um keine Vorgabe zu vergessen. Das Stempelkissen hat dem Gras zugleich etwas Struktur verliehen.

Die Blumen auf der Wiese sind eine wilde Mischung - nicht nur an Blumen sondern auch an Stanzen. Die beiden Blumenreihen sind mit einer Stanze von CC Designs gemacht. Ich habe einige der Blüten durch kleinen Blumen von LawnFawn sowie von Create a Smile ersetzt. Hinter der zweiten Reihe habe ich dann noch Sonnenblumen von LawnFawn sowie Glockenblumen von Magnolia gepflanzt. Ich habe alle Blüten aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Auf der hellgrünen Lage habe ich dann noch einen Text - oder Teil meines Textes - aus dem Henry's Build a Sentiment Honeybee Set von LawnFawn weiß aufembosst. 

 

In the lower half of my card I planted a wildflower meadow with grass.

I die cut the grass layers from different shades of green cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink Mowerd Lawn and Peeled Paint. Well, I honestly didn't know that ink edging means to press the ink pad directly onto the edge of your cardstock. I did that on the lightest layer of grass to not miss any of the parameters. The ink pad also added some texture to my grass.

The flowers on the meadow are a wild mix - not just flower wise but also of dies I used. The two flower rows are made using a die by CC Designs. I replaced some of the flowers with ones from LawnFawn and Create a Smile. Behind the second row of flowers I added some sunflowers by LawnFawn and lily of the valleys by Magnolia. I die cut all flowers from white cardstock and colored them with Copics.

Onto the light green layer of grass I white heat embossed a text - or part of my text - using stamps from Henry's Build a Sentiment Honeybee by LawnFawn.

 

 Oben über der Blumenwiese fliegt eine kleine Biene mit Gießkanne, mit der sie die Blumen auf der Wiese gießt, damit sie schön wachsen können. 

Die Biene und die Gießkanne sind aus dem Set Postage Collage Gardening Tools von WaffleFlower. Die habe ich aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und per Ink Blending etwas schattiert. Auf die Gießkanne habe ich mit Rusty Hinge zusätzlich ein wenig Rost aufgewischt. Vorne an der Gießkanne befindet sich ein kleines Dreieck aus Acetate, auf das ich einige Wassertropfen geklebt habe, die aus der Gießkanne kommen. 

Außerdem habe ich am Himmel einige kleine Wolken aufgeklebt.  

 

There's a little bee with a watering can flying over the meadow, watering the flowers and making sure they have everything they need to grow and bloom.

The bee and the watering can are from Postage Collage Gardening Tools by WaffleFlower. I die cut them from colored cardstock and did some ink blending to shade them. I also applied a bit of Rusty Hinge to the edges of the watering can to give it a hint of rust. To the "opening" - sorry, I have not idea what that part is called in english - I glued a small triangle cut from acetate and then glued some tiny water drops to it, that seem to look out of the watering can.

I also adhered some small white clouds to the sky. 

 

 

Ich habe ja schon erwähnt, dass ich eine Slider Card gemacht habe. Zieht man am Tab rechts an der Karte, fliegt die kleine Biene wirklich über die Blumenwiese und versorgt so alle Blumen mit Wasser.

Ich habe einen kleinen Tunnel in den blauen Hintergrund geschnitten. Dahinter befindet sich der grüne Tab, davor ein Streifen Acetate. An dessen oberen Ende habe ich die Biene angeklebt. Und damit sie sich frei bewegen kann, habe ich die Blumenwiese mit dickem 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt.

 

I already mentioned that I made a slider card. When you pull the tab on the right side of the card the little bee is actually flying over the meadow, making sure every flower gets watered.

I cut a little slit into the blue background. Behind that I put the green pull tab, on top I adhered a strip of acetate. To its top I glued the bee. And to make sure it can move freely I put thick foam tape behind the flowers.

 

 Wenn der Pull Tab herausgezogen ist, sieht man auch den Rest meines Textes. Den habe ich weiß darauf embosst und wieder Stempel aus Henry's Build a Sentiment Honeybee benutzt. 

 

When the pull tab is pulled out completly you can also read the rest of my text. I white heat embossed it onto it and used stamps from Henry's Build a Sentiment Honeybee again.

 

 Ich habe die Wassertropfen und die Flügel der Biene mit Stickles beglittert. Außerdem habe ich als Deko ein kleines weißes Herz auf die Gießkanne und einige weitere unten auf die oberste Graslage geklebt. Dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt. 

Und zum Schluss hier noch der Parameter-Check:

- Interactive Card: Slider Card

- summer colors: blauer Himmel, saftig grünes Gras und Blumen, die bunt blühen - sommerlichere Farben gibt es für mich nicht

- Here comes the bride: eine meiner Töchter war vor kurzem auf einer Hochzeit und der Brautstrauß bestand aus Wildblumen. Das hat mich hier inspiriert. 

- Ink Edging: eingebaut auf der hellgrünen Graslage.

 

I used Stickles to add some glitter to the water droplets and bee's wings. I also glued a white clay heart onto the watering can and four more onto the top most layer of grass. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

And last but not least, let's do a parametere check:
- interactive card: slider card

- summer colores: blue skies, green grass and flowers, that bloom in bright colors - there's nothing more summer-ish than those colors

 - here comes the bride: one of my daughters was at a wedding recently and the bride's bouquet was made from a bunch of wildflowers. That's what inspired me here.

- ink edging: done on the light green layer of grass.
