Gestern hatte ich Euch eine Karte gezeigt, um die mich eine Bekannte gebeten hat. Nun, sie hat auch noch diese Karte bei mir "bestellt". Es ist ewig her, daß ich eine Criss Cross Card gemacht habe. Aber sie paßte perfekt zum Sketch von Just Christmas and Birthday Cards:

Yesterday I showed you a card a friend asked me to make for her. Well, actually she needed two cards. It´s ages ago that I made my last Criss Cross Card but it matches so perfectly this sketch at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards:



Bei ISB-Challenge gibt es die Wahl zwischen zwei Farbkombis:

weiß - schwarz und eine zusätzliche Farbe
oder
türkis - lila - weiß.

At ISB-Challenge they have two color combos to choose from:

white - black and one aditional color
or
turquoise - violet - white.

Und auch bei Incy Wincy Designs gibt es die Farbkombi schwarz - weiß und eine weitere Farbe.

Dies ist meine Karte zum neuen Thema von A Spoon Full Of Sugar, das da heißt "monochrom". Hurra, ein schöneres Thema gibt es ja kaum!
Außerdem habe ich die Karte nach dem neuen Sketch von Just Christmas And Birthday Cards gemacht:

Leider ist mir nach Fertigstellung der Karte aufgefallen, daß ich den gewellten Rand irgendwie übersehen habe. Naja, geht auch ohne, oder?
Das Motiv ist aus der neuen Christmas Collection II von Belles´n´Whistles und heißt "Two Turtle Doves", passend zu dem Song "The 12 Days Of Christmas". Aber ich finde, dieses Motiv kann das ganze Jahr über verwendet werden.
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und My Mind´s Eye, die "Briefmarke" by Stampin´Up. Darauf habe ich etwas Diamond Glaze verteilt, über dem Motiv liegt eine Schicht UTEE.

After finishing my card I realized that I missed that scalloped square somehow. Well, I think it´s okay like this as well.
The image is from the new Christmas Collection II by Belles´n´Whistles and is called "Two Turtle Doves", matching the song "The 12 Days Of Christmas". But I think this cute image can be used all year long.
Papers are by Magnolia and My Mind´s Eye, the "stamp" is by Stampin´Up. I put some Diamond Glaze on it, the image is covered with two layers of UTEE.

Bei Project Tuesday ist die Aufgabe diesmal, einen Post-It Holder zu basteln - die Anleitung dazu ist dort ebenfalls verlinkt. Ich habe nur die Maße etwas angepaßt.
Er paßt auch zu der neuen Challenge bei Stamp With Fun, wo es diesmal ganz einfach "Weihnachten" heißt.
Außerdem habe ich den Post-It Holder nach dem aktuellen Sketch bei Just Christmas And Birthday Cards verziert:

Das Motiv ist wieder von Whiff Of Joy - ich finde diese Elfen total süß. Das gestreifte Papier ist von Magnolia, der "notes"-Stempel von Stampin´Up.

Und das ist die Innenansicht: Ich habe auf der rechten Seite die Post-Its und den Bleistift - danke Ikea - angebracht und auf der linken Seite zusätzlich noch einen kleinen Block mit normalen Zetteln.

Und bei Stamp With Fun gibt es diese Woche eine Color Challenge: braun und türkis. Eine tolle Kombi wie ich finde.
Ich habe eine sitzende Tilda verwendet, um das runde etwas zu unterbrechen. Den Schnörkel habe ich mit meiner Cricut geschnitten und mit ein paar türkisfarbenen Blümchen dekoriert. Der Charm war eigentlich goldfarben und ich bin mit brauem Chalk darüber, damit er nicht gar so rausleuchtet.

And at Stamp With Fun they have a color challenge this week: brown and turquoise. A great combo!
I used a sitting Tilda to interrupt the round look a bit. The flourish is cut using my Cricut and I´ve added a few turquoise flowers. The charm was once golden but I´ve covered it with some brown chalk so it won´t be that bright.

Außerdem habe ich einen neuen Magnolia Challenge Blog entdeckt: "Magnlia Down Under Challenge". Dort gibt es für die Challenge # 16 eine Farb-Aufgabe. Man kann zwischen einer dieser Farbkombis wählen:
- rosa, braun und creme/weiß
- orange, braun und creme/weiß oder
- blau, braun und creme/weiß.
Für mich war klar, daß es die erste sein muß!LOL
Ich habe mich für diese süße Tilda mit ihrem dicken Lebkuchenherz entschieden. Dazu kam etwas geraffte Spitze, ein paar Schnörkel und recht viel mehr war gar nicht nötig, um meine Karte so aussehen zu lassen. Mir gefällt sie sehr gut.

And then I discovered a new Magnolia challenge blog called "Magnolia Down Under Challenge". They have a color combo posted for their challenge # 16. Choose one of these combinations:
- pink, brown and creme/white
- orange, brown and creme/white or
- blue, brown and creme/white.
Well, for me it was clear to follow the first one.LOL
I used this cute Magnolia image with Tilda and her hear shaped gingerbread. I added some lace and flourishes and there wasn´t much more needed to make my card look like this. I like, how it turned out!

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards # 36 und Stamp with Fun # 11

"Punkte" ist, was Stamp With Fun für das Thema der 11. Challenge gewählt hat. Da nirgendwo definiert ist, daß Punkte unbedingt rund sein müssen und ich doch so gerne eine meiner heute eingetroffenen Magnolias aus der Pet Collection verwenden wollte habe ich im Hintergrund ein Giraffenmuster verwendet und hoffe, das gilt.
Und den Sketch # 36 von Just Christmas and Birthday Cards habe ich ebenfalls als Vorlage genommen - wieder mal gedreht:

"Dots" are what Stamp With Fun has choosen for their challenge´s # 11 theme. Since dots don´t have to be really round and I so hardly wanted to use one of my Magnolia stamps from the brand new Pet Collection 2009 (they just arrived today) I decided to go with a giraffe patterne in the background, hoping it counts.
And I followed sketch # 36 at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards - once again turned around:



Mein Motiv heißt "Dschungel-Tilda", im Hintergrund habe ich ein paar stehende Dschungelblätter verwendet. Der Spruch auf dem "Schild" ist mit dem Computer geschrieben und dazu habe ich noch ein paar blühende Lianen gebastelt.
Die Farben auf dem Foto kommen irgendwie nicht so ganz rüber - vielleicht weil heute draußen alles so grau ist und nicht wirklich viel Licht durchs Fenster kommt. In Wirklichkeit sind die Farben viel kräftiger und das grün geht viel mehr ins oliv. Hoffentlich kann ich das Bild bald durch ein besseres ersetzen.

The image is called "Jungle Tilda", I stamped a few Tip Leaves behind her. The sentiment on the hanging sign is computer generated and I created a few blooming vines all around.
The colors look quite different on the photo - probably because there is so much grey outside today and not a lot of light is coming inside. In reality they are much brighter and the green is more an olive tone. Hopefully I will be able to post a better one soon.

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge # 34 und Stamp With Stampavie # 45

Noch eine letzte Challenge, bevor wir für ein paar Tage zu meiner Mutter nach München fahren. Zum Basteln werde ich dort nicht kommen.
Diese Karte habe ich nach dem wirklich tollen Sketch der Challenge # 34 auf Just Christmas and Birthday Cards gemacht:

Und außerdem habe ich noch das Thema der Challenge # 45 auf Stamp With Stampavie aufgegriffen: schwarz und gelb. Ich muß zugeben, daß ich zuerst nicht sonderlich begeistert war und Bienen das einzige war, was mir zu diesem Thema einfiel. Aber dann kamen meine Sugar Nellie Stempel und mit dieser schönen und wohl sehr vielseitig einsetzbaren Lady habe ich es dann versucht. Der Text ist ein Stempel von Stampin´Up, die große schwarze Blume ein die und ich wollte damit die Blume im Haar der Schönheit ein wenig aufgreifen.

And I also used the theme from challenge # 45 at Stamp With Stampavie: black and yellow. I have to admit that I wasn´t very impressed with this theme first - and bees were the only things that came to my mind. But then my Sugar Nellie stamps arrived and with this beautiful - and for sure very versatile - lady I decided to give it a try. The sentiment is by Stampin´Up, the big black flower is mady using a die and I wanted to repeat the flower in the beauty´s hair.

Ich möchte noch etwas sehr trauriges mit Euch teilen: Gestern haben wir unseren Kater Asrael unter unserem Trampolin liegend gefunden. Er liebt es, dort im Schatten zu liegen, aber gestern gab er komische Laute von sich. Als wir schauen gingen fiel uns als erstes eine große Stelle am Rücken auf, bei der das Fell wie abrasiert aussah. Er hat dann versucht aufzustehen, konnte aber seine hinteren Beine nicht bewegen, das komplette Hinterteil fiel von links nach rechts. Wir sind dann sofort zum Tierarzt und der bestätigte unsere Vermutung, daß er wohl unter ein Auto kam. Das Becken ist mehrfach gebrochen und ob ein Hüftgelenk ebenfalls beschädigt ist, kann er nicht sagen. Bitte denkt an uns, wenn wir in heute morgen einschläfern lassen müssen... Danke.

I also wanted to share a really sad story: yesterday we found our cat Asrael under the trampoline. He loves to lie there because there´s always some shadow for him. But yesterday he was giving some strange sounds. We went to check what´s wrong with him and the first thing we realized was a big area on his back where the fur was like cut off. He then tried to stand up but wasn´t able to move his back legs, the whole back was falling from one side to the other. We brought him to the pet doctor and he agreed with us that he was hit by a car. His hips are broken several times and the doc wasn´t able to tell if a joint was damaged also. Please think of us when we´ll have to set him asleep this morning... Thank you.

Schon wieder 3 Challenges in einer Karte...

Project Tuesday postet jede Woche eine neue Challenge, in der es gilt, ein tolles Projekt abseits der normalen Karten zu gestalten. Und die Anleitungen sind auch jeweils dazu gegeben. Wirklich tolle Sachen gibt es dort! Und diesmal ist es diese tolle "Pop-Up Accordion Card".

Project Tuesday is giving a new challenge every week where they are asking us to make a great project beside the normal cards. And there are also the tutorials posted with every challenge. There are really great ideas posted there! And this week it is this wonderful "Pop-Up Accordion Card".

Und dann gibt es auf Papertake Weekly das simple aber geniale Thema "scraps". Benutzt einfach Papierreste, von denen sicher jeder eine große Schublade voll zu Hause hat. Da ich fast immer mit Resten arbeite (zumindest versuche ich es) könnte es gut sein, daß ich diese Woche mehr Karten fertige, die zu dieser Challenge passen.

And at Papertake Weekly they have choosen this simple but great theme "scraps". Just use some of the paper scraps surely all of us have a bunch of somewhere in their stuff. Since I nearly everytime use scraps on my cards (at least I am trying to) it could be that I´ll make more cards this week that could fit this challenge.

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge # 28

Meine Zwilling werden am Sonntag 8 Jahre alt und fragen schon seit Wochen, ob sie von mir auch "so eine schöne Karte" bekommen. Wie könnte ich nicht! Da kommt mir der Sketch für die Challenge # 28 auf Just Christmas and Birthday Cards genau recht und ich habe damit zumindest eine der beiden Karten gebastelt. Ich habe nämlich beschlossen, daß sie dieses mal unterschiedliche Karten bekommen.

My twins will turn 8 next sunday and are asking me since several weeks to make them "such a cute card" also. How could I resist?! So this weeks sketch for challenge # 28 at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards comes right in time to make at least one of the two cards. I decided to make different ones for them this year - for the very first time.



Ich habe meinen neuen "make a wish"-Stempel von Sugar Nellie verwendet und da Pia´s Lieblingsfarbe schon immer blau war die Karte ganz in dieser Farbe gestaltet. Ein paar unterschiedliche Lagen, ein paar Embellishments, ein verstecktes "haben dich lieb" und noch ein celebrate-Stempel drumherum and fertig war diese Karte, die ich jetzt gut verstecken werde - und hoffe, daß meine Mädels sich die nächsten Tage nicht für meinen Blog interessieren!LOL
Natascha´s Karte werde ich später oder auch morgen posten...

I used my new "make a wish" stamp from Sugar Nellie and since Pia´s favorite color since ever is blue I used this as the main color of the card. A few layers, a few embellishments, a hidden "we love you" and a celebrate stamp placed around the image and this card was done. I now will hide it hopefully good enough - and hope my girls won´t be interested in my blog for the next days!LOL
Natascha´s card will be posted later or tomorrow...

Ich habe es endlich wieder geschafft, eine Karte für Just Christmas and Birthday Cards zu machen.
Diese Woche gibt es einen tollen Sketch von Rheannon - und es hat viel Spaß gemacht, damit zu arbeiten.

I finally made a card for Just Christmas and Birthday Cards again.
This week they have a great sketch created by Rheannon - and it was so much fun playing with it.



Ich habe wieder einen Annie-Stempel verwendet (okay, für die nächste Karte verwende ich mal wieder was anderes LOL).
Ich habe eine blaue Karte verwendet, die ich am Samstag auf einem Stampin´Up Workshop verstempelt habe - von dem Hintergrundmuster war ein Teil nicht gestempelt. Nun habe ich einfach das Motiv darüber geklebt. ;o)

Again I used one of my new Annie stamps (okay, I will use something else for my next card LOL).
I also used a blue card that I "ruined" at my Stampin´Up workshop last saturday by not stamping the background perfect. There was an area without any color on it - there I placed my image now. ;o)

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge #18

Ich habe auf den neuen Sketch von Just Christmas and Birthday Cards gewartet um damit die Geburtstagskarte für meine Älsteste, die nächste Woche 14 wird, zu machen. Sie ist derzeit für alles was lila und schwarz ist - da kam mir mein neuer Stampothique-Stempel gerade recht.
Ich mußte den Sketch etwas verändern da mein Motiv gar so groß war, ich es aber auch schlecht kleiner schneiden konnte.
Und merkt man vielleicht, daß ich gestern endlich herausgefunden habe, wie man Bottlecaps flach bekommt. Bisher habe ich mich da ziemlich angestellt, aber nun habe ich den Dreh raus und muß diese "neue" Technik auch verwenden!LOL

I waited for the new sketch at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards to make my oldest DD who will be 14 next week a birthday card. At the moment she loves everything violett and black - so my new Stampothique-stamp came right in time.
I had to move things around a bit on my card because my image was way too big for this sketch.
And can you see that I finally figured out how to flaten bottlecaps? So far I was quite dumb with this, but now I know how to do it and HAVE to use this "new" technique.LOL

Es gibt wieder einen tollen Sketch auf Just Christmas and Birthday Cards, dieses Mal kreiert von Mada. Es war einer der Sketche die ich sehe und sofort eine Idee im Kopf habe. Für mich hat es sich angeboten, die Hälfte der Vorderseite wegzuschneiden.

There is a new and great sketch at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards, this week created by Mada. It´s one of these sketches I see and have an idea in my mind immediately. For me it was sure that I want to cut off half the front.

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge #15

Auf Just Christmas and Birthday Cards gibt es eine neue Challenge. Sie war eine ziemliche Herausforderung für mich, denn der Sketch hat sehr viele Elemente und es dauerte einige Zeit, bis ich einen "Plan" hatte. Um so glücklicher bin ich mit dem Ergebnis.
Das Papier der Karte ist handgemacht - nicht von mir!LOL - und nicht begradigt. Ich mochte den bißchen schiefen Look.

At Just Christmas and birthday cards is a new challenge posted. It was a real challenge because the sketch had so many different elements and it took me some time and thinking until I had a clue how to make my card. But I am really happy with the result!
The paper I used for the card is handmade - not by me!LOL - and not cut straight. I liked this look for this card.

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge #14

Endlich habe ich es geschafft eine Karte für die Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Challenge zu machen. Auf diesem Challengeblog gibt es jede Woche ein Sketch, nach dem dann wahlweise eine Weihnachts- oder Geburtstagskarte gemacht wird. Da ich momentan ehrlich gesagt keine Weihnachtskarten mehr sehen kann habe ich mich für eine Geburtstagskarte entschieden.
Die Magnolia habe ich nur ganz leicht mit Wassermal-Stiften coloriert, der Schnörkel ist mit Watermark Ink gestempelt.

Finally I made a card for the Just Christmas and Birthday Cards challenge! On this challenge blog there is a new sketch every week and you follow this to create either a christmas or birthday card. Since I - honestly - can´t see any christmas cards anymore at the moment I decided to make a birthday card.
The Magnolia is colored using watercolor pens (only a small amount of color), the flourish is stamped using watermark ink.
