Belles'n'Whistles Challenge "sparkle"

Und nochmal hallo - hier bin ich wieder.
Auch bei Belles'n'Whistles gibt es eine neue Challenge. Diesmal war ich an der Reihe, ein Thema zu wählen. Und passend zur Jahreszeit habe ich mich für "Glitzer" entschieden.

Hello again, here I am back again. Also at Belles'n'Whistles we have a new challenge up for you. It was my turn to host the challenge and I picked "sparkle" as the theme of this fortnight.

Ich habe hier den süßen Stempel "Brooke's 1st Christmas" verwendet. Unter dem Motiv habe ich eine Rosette platziert und auch wenn sie nicht ganz rund geworden ist (waren wohl zu viele Falten) finde ich, daß es einen tollen Effekt auf der Karte gibt.

I used Brooke's 1st Christmas here.
Underneath the image I put a paper rosette and even if it didn't really turn out round (guess I made too many pleates here) I think it adds a nice look to the card.

Zusammen mit blauen Farbtönen, Schnee aus der Tube und Perlen ist so eine winterliche Karte entstanden.

The cute Tilda is another special stamp - they seem to be famous this year - and the lovely Tanja got it for me. Thank you so much hun!
Using this, blue colors, snow and pearls a winter-ish card was made.

Right, friday means Simply Sassy day. But only 2 more times, then we'll have a christmas break...

Für meine Karte heute habe ich Cinderella verwendet. Ein tolles Motiv und durch die vielen Falten im Kleid leicht zu colorieren. 

Ich habe mich für blau, schwarz und weiß entschieden, denn ich wollte etwas elegantes machen. Denn auch wenn das Motiv auf den ersten Blick eher etwas für Kinder zu sein scheint, mit der richtigen Farbe paßt es überall. 

I used Cinderella on this card. A beautiful image and it's so easy to color due to all the pleats in her dress.

I went with a blue, black and white combo since I wanted to make something more elegant. Even if the image seems to be for a child at first look - using the right colors will make this fit for everyone.

Well, christmas time is the busiest of the year and so I didn't have a card to share with you the last two days. But today there is a new challenge starting over at Cute Card Thursday and so here I am back again! Our theme of this week is "numbers".

Andrew's Christmas Stocking heißt der süße Stempel, den ich hier benutzt habe und er ist aus der neuesten Kollektion von Belles'n'Whistles. Ich finde ihn zu süß und er wäre fast ein Grund, die Tradition der Weihnachtsstrümpfe einzuführen. Aber er paßt bestimmt auch prima zu Nikolaus! Trotzdem habe ich mich für die 24 entschieden, und nicht für die 6....

Andrew's Christmas Stocking is the name of this cute image and it is from the newest collection of Belles'n'Whistles stamps. He's just too cute and since we don't have the tradition of hanging up the christmas stockings - looking at him makes me want we'd do. But he also fits great for St. Nick's Day here in Germany!

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei  Stamps&Fun=Creativity. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "distressing".

It's time for a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity - and the theme of this week is "distressing".

 Ich habe diesen knuddeligen Elf von Mo Manning ausgedruckt - ich glaube, so viel Spaß hätte ich als Elf auch! Und ich weiß auch schon genau, wer diese Karte bekommt... ;O)
Die Kugel ist dick mit Glitzer überzogen, die Fellränder an der Kleidung mit Samtpulver. Und die Schnur der Kugel habe ich nachgestickt und mit einer dicken Schleife versehen.

I printed this cute Mo Manning digi elf - I guess I'd have as much fun if I was an elf! And I also know exactly who will get this card because it's perfect for her.... ;O)
The ornament is covered with a thick layer of glitter, the fur on his dress and hat are covered with velvet flock. I used some linnen thread to stitch and a big bow to hang up the ornament on the edge of the card.

Magnolia Down Under # 124

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben - und wunderschönen 1. Advent!
Heute heißt unsere  Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under "let it snow".
Wirklich zufrieden bin ich mit meiner Karte nicht, aber nachdem unsere Katze von einem Auto angefahren wurde, nicht sicher war ob sie überhaupt überlebt und wir jetzt einen 100%igen Pflegefall zu Hause haben war an Basteln wie gewohnt nicht zu denken. Wir hoffen auf jeden Fall, dass sich alles doch noch zum Guten wendet!

Hello dear ones - and a happy 1st of advent!
Our new theme over at Magnolia Down Under is "let it snow".
I am not really happy with how my card turned out but our cat was hit by a car last friday, for several days we were unsure if she'll survive and now we have her home but she needs 24/7 care - so crafting like usual wasn't possible. But we hope that everything will turn to good!

Ich hatte diese schöne Tür noch nie benutzt und nachdem bei TOMIC das Thema u. a. hieß ein Magnolia-Tier zu benutzen, kam mir die Idee die beiden süßen Vögelchen mit der Tür zu kombinieren. Keine Tilda, kein Edwin heute, aber trotzdem eine Magnolia-Weihnachtskarte.
Die Papiere sind von Magnolia und von Papercrafts Scandinavia.

I hadn't used this cute christmas door scene yet and since the theme at TOMIC was also to use an animal by Magnolia I got the idea of combining the two birds with the door scene. No Tilda, no Edwin but still a Magnolia christmas card.

Hello dear ones - and welcome to a new challenge at Stempeleinmaleins. It's the last saturday of the month and so we have this sketch up for you:

 

Außerdem lautet die Option dieses Mal "Weihnachten".

And the optional extra of this challenge is "christmas".

Ich habe eines der Motive von Sugar Nellie verwendet - der Engel ist so vielseitig einsetzbar und ich finde ihn traumhaft. Außerdem paßt er wunderbar zu den einmalig schönen Papiere von Papercraft Scandinavia. Die warmen, dunklen Rottöne und dazu das beige - ein Traum und vom Design her genau das Meine.

Auf einen Text habe ich heute mal verzichtet, egal wo ich ihn platzieren wollte, er störte irgendwie nur den friedlichen Eindruck....

I used one of the images by Sugar Nellie - this angel can be used in so many different ways and I just love it. And it also is perfect to be used with the beautiful papers by Papercraft Scandinavia. The dark and warm reds and that beige - just wonderful and the design is exactly what I love.

I didn't add a saying here - no matter where I placed it it just didn't look good anywhere.

It's friday again and it will be the 1st sunday of advent this weekend. Cookies are made, the decoration is out - only some snow is missing. So I am inviting the snow fairy today - on the card I made for today's inspiration post over at the Simply Sassy blog.

I used the exclusive stamp that was only available during the last weekend and as a special gift when ordering the whole set. I think it was sold out really quick. And I totally love it!

Ich mußte einfach einen weiteren der süßen neuen Simply Sassy Stempel verwenden: Book Club. Und sie schreit geradezu nach kräftigen Farben. Diesmal für mich ganz unüblich in Türkis und Pink... Steht ihr, oder? Ansonsten bin ich irgendwie der Meinung, hier fehlt was. Aber ich kann nicht sagen, was, darum habe ich die Karte so gelassen wie sie ist.

I just had to use another of the cute Simply Sassy images: Book Club. And to me she's screaming for bright colors. This time I picked tuquoise and pink which are totally unusal for me.... Fit her, right? 

Well, I think something's missing on this card but I wasn't able to figure out what it was so I just let it the way it is.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Die Weihnachtsdeko ist endlich beinah fertig (natürlich stellt sich immer heraus, daß die ein oder andere Lichterkette den Geist aufgegeben hat) und auch die Plätzchen sind fast alle fertig. Weihnachtsstimmung! Und so ist es kein Wunder, daß auch für die neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy eine Weihnachtskarte entstanden ist. Unser Thema dort lautet "pins and lace".

We have nearly finished our christmas decoration (of course there is something not working as it should like every year so we need to fix this) and also our cookies are nearly done. Christmas time ahead! And so it is no wonder that I made  a christmas card for our new challenge at Whiff Of Joy. The theme is "pins and lace".

Ich habe ein weiteres der Motive aus dem Winter-Stempelkit verwendet. Ich liebe diesen "nordischen" Touch, den dieses Motiv ausstrahlt. Dafür habe ich es in nicht ganz so traditionellen Weihnachtsfarben coloriert. Die Papiere sind alle von Papercraft Scandinavia - und wenn ich endlich dazu komme sie einzustellen, dann gibt es sie auch endlich bei mir im Shop zu kaufen...

I used another image from this year's stamp kit. I love the nordic touch this image has to me. 

I went with some not so traditional christmas colors.

Also at Belles'n'Whistles we have  a new challenge starting today. The theme for the next two weeks is "christmas".

Natürlich mußte ich eines der neuen Weihnachtsmotive verwenden: Little Light. Es lädt geradezu dazu ein, eine Karte im Vintage-Look zu machen. Und so ist hier mal wieder alles versammelt, was dazu paßt: Spitze, Brauntöne, Blumen, Schnörkel...
Die tollen Papiere sind von Papercraft Scandinavia - und ein Traum!
Schnörkel, Blätter und Zweig sind mit einem neuen (zumindest für mich) Die von Sizzix gestanzt.

Of course I had to use one of the new christmas images here: Little Light. It's perfect for those vintage style cards. And so I put everything on this card that's typically vintage: lace, browns, flowers, swirls...
The great papers are by Papercraft Scandinavia - and I so love these!
Flourishes, twigs and leaves are made using a new die by Sizzix (at least it was new to me).

Meine Große und ihr Freund sind heute ein Jahr zusammen. Alles Liebe Ihr beiden!!!!
Er hat mich gebeten, eine Karte zu machen, die er meiner Tochter zum heutigen Tag schenken kann. Hm, natürlich sollte sie süß sein, trotzdem aber noch erkennbar von einem Jungen kommen. Darum habe ich zu Edwin mit der Rose gegriffen und statt großen Worten einfach nur ein Herz in einer Sprechblase als Text hinzugefügt.

My oldest and her boyfriend are celebrating their one year anniversary today. Congrats to the both of you!!!!
He asked me to make a card he could give my daughter today. Well, of course I wanted it to be cute but it should still be something that comes from a boy. So I picked Edwin with the rose and instead of a lot of words I added a little heart in a bubble.

Ihm hat sie gefallen - und ich denke, ihr auch ;)

Es ist wieder Samstag und somit Zeit für eine neue Ausgabe des Stempeleinmaleins. Diesmal gibt es ein "Gute-Besserung-Set" und jede von uns hat sich etwas eigenes einfallen lassen.

It's saturday again and time for a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins. This week we have a "get well set" and each of us made her own version of it.

Ich habe mich für einen kleinen Koffer im Vintage-Stil entschieden. Im  Leder-Look.

I went with a little suitcase made in vintage style. Has a leather look.

Oben am Griff habe ich mit etwas Mull und Leinenschnur die Genesungswünsche angebracht:

At the handle I fixed a little tag with cheesecloth and some linen thread:

Innen ist der Koffer mit kariertem Papier ausgeschlagen, soll ja authentisch aussehen, und mit Taschentüchern, Tee, Hustenbonbons und Lippenbalsam gefüllt. Um die Dinge an ihrem Platz zu halten, habe ich kleine Streifen Cardstock im Koffer angebracht, die oben mit Klett zu verschließen sind.

The inside is covered with checked paper - should look original - and filled with tissues, tea, cough drops and lipbalm. To keep these things in place I used little strips of cardstock that I fixed in the suitcase, wrapped around the items and closed them with velcro.
