Und ein letztes Werk zum Schulanfang

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
We here in Bavaria are in the middle of summer break. So first day of school is still a big theme here. But today over at the Kulricke Blog I am sharing my last project for this day for some time. There just needs to be a change now, right?

People start to celebrate the first day of school more and more. So today I have a set of party decorations to share.

The board, that comes as a complete set, could be used as a centerpiece.
First I've cut the whole board twice from brown cardstock. From one of those I've cut the middle piece and run this frame through my Big Shot using a wood pattern embossing folder to dry emboss the frame. I've used Distress Ink to add some more depth to the embossed lines.
Then I've cut those brown pieces on top of each other and put the middle part, cut from black cardstock, in the middle of the board. The letters, cut from red, blue and yellow cardstock, were glued into their cut outs in the black board.
To the bottom right I've added some stacked books. The black part of the board already has one of those kind of embossed into it but I wanted some books that pop out in color.
I've put some twine through the holes in the top middle, tied a bow and put some red ribbon in it.
I've punched a small hole in the top left corner and, like I did with the envelope I've shared two weeks ago, put some twine to it, attaching a piece of a regular kitchen sponge to it to create a board cleaning sponge.

The small gift boxes were made in matching colors. Those could be used as little gifts for your guests.
I've used the new triangle box here, cutting it from brown cardstock. Then I glued black cardstock and some designer's paper with printed on crayons to two sides of the box.
The pencil is also one of the new dies. Again I've used brown cardstock for the base and cut the pencil itself from yellow cardstock. The cut outs were filled with parts cut from red and light blue cardstock.
The tip of the pencil and the lines are handdrewn.
Then I've wrapped some twine around the box and used the ends to tie the pencil to the box. Since this isn't enough to hold the pencil in place where I wanted it to be I've used dimensionals to glue it down.

Here you get a better look at the shape of this box. I've decorated two sides, leaving the one where the box opens, undecorated and on the bottom of my box.
