Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog diese Karte mit dem neuen Stempelset designed von Oma Plott. Und ich zeige Euch damit, dass ein wenig "Um-die-Ecke-Denken" es möglich macht, auch nicht-weihnachtliche Stempel für eine Weihnachtskarte zu verwenden. Wobei meine Karte dann eher eine Weihnachts-Katastrophen-Karte ist...

Today I am sharing this card using a new stamp set by Stampcorner over at the Stampcorner Blog. And I'm showing, that with some outside the box thinking you can use non-christmassy images for christmas cards. Well, in this case it's more a christmas catastrophy card...
Als ich das Monster das erste Mal sah, hat mich sein erschrocken-unschuldiger Blick sofort angesprochen. Und mir kam die Idee, diesen Blick auszunutzen. Und so wurde er hier auf frischer Tat ertappt, wie er wohl alle Weihnachtsplätzchen aufgefuttert hat. Auch wenn er es vehement leugnet, die Krümel, der angebissene Lebkuchenmann und seine noch vollen Backen verraten ihn. Und das einen Tag vor Heilig Abend! Aber kann man so einem kleinen Kerl böse sein?
Für den Hintergrund habe ich mir erst eine Maske mit der große Sprechblase aus dem Comic Speech Bubbles Stanzenset von WhimsyStamps geschnitten. Damit habe ich den oberen Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstocks abgedeckt. Den Rest habe ich mit Distress Oxide Cracked Pistacchio, Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot gewischt und ein wenig Wasser darüber getropft. Die Sprechblase habe ich an den äußeren Rändern mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke gewischt.
In die Sprechblase habe ich den Text "welche Kekse?" - mit vollem Mund natürlich "welfe Kekfe?" gesetzt. Dafür habe ich die einzelnen Buchstaben mit dem Mini Alphabet and Numbers Stanzenset von CCDesings aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und in die Sprechblase geklebt. Ein Fragezeichen gibt es in diesem Set nicht - ich habe einfach den unteren Querstrich der 2 weggeschnitten, sie etwas höher als den Rest der Buchstaben aufgeklebt und darunter einen kleinen Kreis geklebt.
Die Highlights auf den Buchstaben habe ich mit einem weißen Gelpen gemacht.
Unten auf der Karte habe ich einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks geklebt, auf den ich den Rest meines Textes mit weißem Embossingpulver aufembosst habe. Das "echt jetzt?!" ist aus dem gleichnamigen Stempelset von Stampcorner, ebenfalls von Oma Plott designed. Der Text darunter ist aus dem nicht mehr erhältlichen Set Advent, Advent - aber der passte hier einfach so wunderbar, dass ich den Stempel trotzdem verwendet habe.
When I saw this monster for the first time I was totally drawn in by his frightened and innocent look. And I had the idea of using this look. So it looks like he just got caught eating all the christmas cookies. He's denying it vehemently, but the crumbs, the half eaten gingerbread man and his full cheeks are giving him away. And this just one day before Christmas Eve! But who could be angry with this cute little guy?
For the background I first die cut a mask with the big speech bubble from the Comic Speech Bubbles die set by WhimsyStamps. I used it to cover the top of a piece of white cardstock. Then I inked up the rest of it with Distress Oxide Cracked Pistacchio, Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot and spritzed some water onto it. I used Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke to darken the edged of the speech bubble a bit as well.
Into the speech bubble I glued a "which cookies" - of course it sounds more like "witf fookies" when your mouth is that full. I've die cut the individual letters from black cardstock with the Mini Alphabet and Numbers die set by CCDesigns and glued them into the speech blubble. There's no question mark in this set, so I simply die cut the number 2 and cut off the line at the bottom. I glued it down a bit higher than the rest of the letters and added a tiny circle under it.
For the highlights on the letters I used a white gel pen.
To the bottom of the card I glued a strip of black cardstock, onto which I white heat embossed the rest of my text. The first line means "Really?" and the smaller one says "well, then - merry christmas".
Und hier seht Ihr das bedröppelte Monsterchen. Ich finde es einfach zu knuffig!
Ich habe es mit der Keksdose aus dem Set Milk and Cookies, sowie dem angebissenen Lebkuchenmann und den Krümeln aus dem Set Tiny Gingerbread, beide von LawnFawn, kombiniert. Auch um den Mund herum habe ich ein paar Krümel gestempelt.
Coloriert habe ich alle Motive mit Copics. Beim Colorieren habe ich die Backen des Monsters noch etwas voller gemalt. Die kleinen Punkte im Gesicht habe ich mit dunkel- und hellgrünen Finelinern gemacht.
And here's the little monster in the crime scene. I just love it!
I combined the monster with the cookie jar from the Milk and Cookies set, and the half gingerbread man and the crumbs from the Tiny Gingerbread stamp set, both by LawnFawn. I also stamped a few crumbs around his mouth.
I colored all images with Copics. While coloring the face I made the monster's cheeks a bit fuller. For the fine dots in his face I used a light and dark green fineliner.
