Dezember-Challenge bei AltairArt

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei AltairArt. Und ja, auch wir sind in Weihnachtsstimmung - unser neues Thema ist "the magic of christmas". 

Hello everyone!

Today we are starting our december challenge over at AltairArt - and yes, also we are in a christmas mood. So we picked "the magic of christmas" as our new theme.

Ich habe eine Karte in Buchform gemacht - natürlich mit vielen Seiten, denn bei diesem kalten Winterwetter gibt es nichts schöneres, als mit einem dicken Buch vor dem Kamin zu sitzen. Alle Papiere, die ich verwendet habe, sind aus der Festive Bells Kollektion.

Zwischen die Seiten habe ich ein paar Sterne und Cheesecloth geschoben. Die aufgeschlagenen Seiten sind mit dem süßen Socken von Magnolia, einer Bordüre und kleinen Holzsternen dekoriert.

I made a book shaped card - of course with lots of pages because with the cold winter weather there's nothing better than sitting in front of the fireplace reading a book. A thick book! All papers I used are from the Festive Bells collection.

I've put some stars and cheesecloth inbetween the pages. The top one is decorated with this stocking image by Magnolia, a border and small wooden stars.

Und natürlich war auch Platz für ein paar Blumen. Dazwischen befindet sich zusammengeschobenes Organzaband und auch ein Beerenpick.

And of course there was also room for some flowers. There's some fringed organza ribbon and a berry pick amongst them.

November-Challenge bei AltairArt

Heute starte die neue Challenge bei AltairArt, diesmal mit dem Thema "metal embellishment or pendant".

Today we are starting our new challenge over at AltairArt and our new theme is "metal embellishment or pendant".

Ich habe eine weitere Weihnachtskarte zu zeigen - gemacht nur mit Papieren aus der neuen Festive Bells Kollektion. Es sind typisch weihnachtliche Farben - und trotzdem muss die Karte nicht unbedingt klassisch rot-grün werden. Die Farbkombi geht bei mir nämlich gar nicht. Stattdessen habe ich mich für viel Rot mit Beige, braun und weiß entschieden.

I made another christmas card - made using papers from the new Festive Bells collection only. Those papers are made using all the classical christmas colors - and still the card doesn't have to be the typical red and green. That's a color combination I hate to work with! Instead I went with a lot of red combined with beige, brown and white.

Das Papier mit dem Orangendruck finde ich super. Ich hatte sofot den Duft von mit Nelken gespickten Orangen in der Nase. Hier habe ich es als mittlere Lage verwendet, darunter dunkelrot mit leichter Holzoptik und dann noch eines mit weißen Punkten. Etwas braune Wellpappe passte prima dazu und war die perfekte Unterlage für meinen goldenen Glöckchen-Charm.

Die Zahlen - genauso wie der HoHoHo-Text - sind übrigens auch auf eines der Papiere gedruckt. Mein erster Gedanke war "Adventskalender", aber hier habe ich es einfach als Hintergrund verwendet und mein Motiv daneben gesetzt.

The paper with the oranges print is great. I immediately had the smell of oranges and cloves in my nose. Here I used it as the middle layer with a dark red with a slightly wooden print underneath and a dark red one with white dots on top. Some brown corrugated paper also fitted in great and was the perfect base for my golden bells charm.

The numbers - as well as the saying - are also printed on one of the papers. My first thought was "advent calendar" but here I just used it as a background and put my image next to it.

Und hier noch mein Motiv. Eigentlich wollte ich einen Weihnachtsmann verwenden, aber glaubt es oder nicht, bis auf ein paar eher im Comic-Stil gezeichneten oder zwei Stempel mit Kindern o. ä. drumrum habe ich doch tatsächlich alle meine Weihnachtsmänner verkauft! Naja, wie das so ist - sie liegen ewig im Schrank und wenn man sich getrennt hat, dann wären wie genau richtig. Stattdessen habe ich also diesen süßen Jungen von BnW verwendet. Ich wollte ihn passend zu meiner Vintage angehauchten Karte machen und habe ihn daher eher hell und mit wenig Farben coloriert.

Als Deko  habe ich dann noch einen Sternenhintergrund und 3D Sterne aufgeklebt. Ist es peinlich zuzugeben, dass ich erstmal googeln musste, wie man die Dinger zusammensetzt? Ich dachte, die kleinen Klebelaschen sind dazu da, die Strahlen der Sterne zu verbinden - und das ging natürlich nicht. Zum Glück gab es da ein Video - und es fiel mir wie Schuppen von den Augen. Aber wenn man den Denkfehler erstmal drin hat... ;)

And here's the image I used. I had a Santa in mind but, believe me or not, except for a few ones drawn more in a comic style and two stamps with Santa in a scene I really sold all my Santa stamps! Well, that's how it goes - they are unused for ages but once you sell them they'd be the perfect image for your card. So I went with this cute boy by BnW instead. Matching my a little vintage looking card I only colored him in with light and only little colors.

For decorations I went with a star background and two three dimensional stars. It's kind of embarrasing but I have to admit that I had to google how to put those together. I thought those little notches were meant to glue the tips of the star together - and of course that didn't work. Lucky me there was a video on how to put them together - and of course once I saw it it was just logical. But well, if you're on the wrong track it's hard to see the obvious... ;)

Oktober-Challenge bei AltairArt

Heute startet auf dem AltairArt Blog die neue Challenge und wir haben diesmal ein Mood-Board für Euch. Und ja, es ist, passend zur Jahreszeit, ein Herbst-Moodboard. Ich habe mich von den Farben inspirieren lassen - davon bietet der Herbst ja jede Menge!

Today we are starting our new challenge over at the AltairArt Blog and this month we have a mood board for you. And yes, matching the time of the year, it is a fall mood board. I got inspired by the colors - fall has plenty of them!

Ich habe ganz viele verschiedene Papiere verwendet - Braun-, Orange- und Rottöne, kombiniert mit etwas blau. Und das Papier mit der Holzoptik passt einfach perfekt.

Auch ein passender Text musste her - hier der Herbst DieCut von Kulricke. Mit weißem Gelstift habe ich ein paar Highlights aufgemalt.

I used a lot of different papers in browns, orange and reds, combined with some blue. And the paper with the wooden print just goes perfectly with a fall theme.

I also needed a matching saying - and simply added a die cut word saying "fall". I've added a few highlights with a white Sharpie.

Auch das Motiv ist natürlich herbstlich. Ich habe dafür einen Stempel von Belles'n'Whistles verwendet. Den kleinen Zauberer, der der Vogelscheuche ein Bonbon reicht, habe ich einfach nicht mit abgestempelt. Coloriert habe ich wie immer mit Copics.

Of course also the image had to be fall-ish. So I used this stamps by Belles'n'Whistles. The little magician that is holding out a treat to the scarecrow was left out here. As usual I did the coloring with Copics.

Auf diesem Bild könnt Ihr einige der Papiere besser erkennen. Zuerst hatte ich die Befürchtung, dass alles zu unruhig werden könnte. Aber das Blau hat alles etwas runtergeholt.

Oben am Motiv habe ich noch einen Gitterkreis sowie zwei Pflanzen angebracht.

On this picture you get a better look at some of the papers. I was afraid that everything would look too messy with all the different colors and patterns but the blue really toned it down.

To the top of the image I've added this circle and two plants.

Und das ist die Deko unten am Motiv. Hier kamen ebenfalls verschiedene Pflanzen, zwei Blüten, eine Beere und die kleinen roten Perlen zum Einsatz.

And this is the decoration at the other side of the image. Here I used different die cut plants again, two flowers, a berry and those red "pearls".

September-Challenge bei AltairArt

Auf dem Blog von AltairArt startet heute unsere neue Challenge. Das Thema diesen Monat lautet "monochrom".

Over at the AltairArt Blog we are starting our new challenge today. And this month's theme is "monochrome".

Bei uns hier in Bayern hat ja diese Woche die Schule wieder begonnen - also habe ich mich für eine Einschulungskarte entschieden. Meine Große ist ja schon länger raus, die Zwillinge fangen gerade die Kollegstufe an. Aber ich habe trotzdem jemanden gefunden, dem ich sie schicken konnte. Auch wenn sie jetzt, themenbedingt, eher farblos ist...

Ich habe hier Papiere aus dem Paper Pack Tears in the Rain und aus dem Paper Pack Dreams Come True verwendet, jeweils in der 15 x 15 cm Ausführung. Da gefällt mir die Größe der Muster so prima. Alle Papiere sind mit schwarzem Cardstock gemattet.

Here in my part of Germany school re-startet this week so I made a first day of school card. And I still like it, even if it turned out quite dark, due to the theme. 

Here I used papers from the Tears in the Rain Paper Pack and the Dreams Come True Paper Pack, both the 6 x 6 versions. I really like the size of the print with those. All papers were matted using black cardstock.

Das süße Mädel ist von Lili of the Valey, die Tafel und der Text von Scrapbook Forever. Die Buchstaben und der Stern auf der Tafel - die Buchstaben habe ich einfach auseinander geschnitten - und der Text sind weiß embosst. 

Als Deko habe ich etwas schwarze Spitze, Blumen und ein paar silberne Pailetten verwendet. Und oben habe ich noch eine sternförmige Büroklammer untergebracht.

The cute girl is by Lili of the Valley, the chalk board and the saying - have fun at school - from a german brand. The letters and star on the board and the saying were heat embosssed using white embossing powder. 

For decorations I went with some black lace, flowers and a few silver sequins. And I also put in a starshaped paper clip.

August-Challenge bei AltairArt

Na, genießt Ihr die Ferien und den Sommer? Passend dazu haben wir uns für die neue Challenge bei AltairArt für das Thema "Summer Fun" entschieden. Und das war das perfekte Thema, um diesen süßen Stempel von Belles'n'Whistles mal wieder rauszuholen.

So, are you enjoying your summer break and summer itself? To go with this we picked "summer fun" as our theme for the new challene over at AltairArt. And that was the perfect one to dig out this cute stamp by Belles'n'Whistles again.

Ich habe hier Papiere in verschiedenen Blau- und Grüntönen verwendet und mit weißer Mattung aufeinander geschichtet. Eine gestichelte Wolke sowie etwas ausgestanztes Schilf fanden auch Platz. Generell aber ist die Karte eher einfach. Ich denke, das liegt am vielen Weiß auf der linken Hälfte des Motivs. Ich habe versucht, es mit den drei Vögeln etwas zu überstempeln, aber so ganz hat das nicht geklappt.

I used papers in different tones of blues and greens and put them on top of each other adding some white matting. A stitched cloud and a die cut grass also found their places on this card. But in generell it is more simple. I guess that's because of all that white on the left side of the image. I tried to cover at least a part of it with those birds but it didn't really work out.

Das Motiv ist mit Copics coloriert. Irgendwie scheint sich der junge Mann noch nicht sicher zu sein, ob das mit dem Baden eine tolle Idee ist... ;)

The image has been colored in with Copics. And somehow this young man seems a little unsure about his idea of taking a swim... ;)

Juli-Challenge bei AltairArt

Heute startet die neue Challenge bei AltairArt. Diesmal haben wir das Thema "mit floralem Stempel" für Euch. Und ich habe dazu diese Strohhalmtasche gemacht.

Today we are starting our july challenge over at the AltairArt Blog. Our theme this month is "with a floral stamp". And I made this paperstraw gift bag.

Die Tasche hatte ich im WWW gesehen, habe aber keine Anleitung dazu gefunden. Also habe ich sie kurzerhand nach meinen eigenen "Vorstellungen" gemacht. Ist gar nicht kompliziert. 

Die Tasche selbst habe ich aus einem Papier der Tears in the Rain Serie gemacht. Da die Papiere von AltairArt alle doppelseitig sind, sieht die Tasche auch innen schön aus. Außen habe ich die Seite mit dem Holzmuster verwendet, das grau-grün passt auch perfekt zu meinem Motiv.

Oben an der Tasche habe ich einen kleinen Tag angebracht, unten kam nur etwas Cheesecloth und Spitze zum Einsatz.

I've seen something like that online but wasn't able to find instructions so I just made it "my way". It's really not that complicated to make.

The bag itself ist made from a sheet from the Tears in the Rain Collection. Sind all papers by AltairArt are doublesided the bag also looks nice on the inside. Here I used the side with the wooden print on the outside. And the greyish green - or greenish grey - goes great with my image.

I've tied a little tag to the top of the bag and added some cheesecloth and lace on the rest of the bag.

Und das ist mein florales Motiv. Ich habe hier einen Layering Stamp verwendet und die Hortensie in grün begonnen und mit Lila weitergemacht. Die haben in echt ja auch so tolle Farbspiele. Die beiden Stiele habe ich einfach mit der Hand gemalt. Rund um das Motiv habe ich noch ein paar Glitzersteine verteilt.

Das Motiv selbst habe ich auf die rosafarbene Seite des Blue Monday/Wild Geese Papieres aus der Foggy Dew Collection gestempelt. Das hat ein zartes Pink mit weißem/beigfarbenem Muster und so wirkt die Blume noch lebhafter. Durch die helle Farbe des Papieres braucht man auch keine Angst haben, dass das Motiv nicht gut zu erkennen wäre.

Im Hintergrund habe ich noch einen Streifen des pinkfarbenen Bogens aus der Ever and Always Collection angebracht.

And this is my floral image. I used a Layering Stamp here and started the hydrangea with green and continued with purple ink. They have such wonderful color changes in real life, so why not bring that on the card? The stems have just been hand drawn. I also put some rhinestones around the image.

The image is stamped onto the pink side of the Blue Monday/Wid Geese paper from the Foggy Dew Collection. It's a soft pink with a white/cream pattern and that makes the flower look even more vibrant. And since the color of the paper is so soft you don't have to be afraid to not be able to see the image clearly.

In the background I also added a strip of the pink sheet from the Ever and Always Collection.

Juni-Challenge bei Altair-Art

Heute startet die neue Challenge bei Altair-Art - diesmal mit dem Thema Chipboard. Ich selbst verwende es eher selten und musste erstmal in den Tiefen einiger Schränke wühlen, aber dann wurde ich doch fündig!

Today the new challenge over at Altair-Art goes live - and we've picked the theme "chipboard" for you. Honestly, I don't use it very often and had to dig through some drawers in my craftroom before I was able to find some, but I did!

Wie Ihr schon erahnen mögt, war ich basteltermin-technisch etwas voraus, denn das ist die Karte, die meine Mom dieses Jahr zum Muttertag von mir bekommen hat... Die süßen Mäuse von Lili of the Valley wollten einfach verarbeitet werden!

Well, I was a bit ahead craftwise because this is the card I made my mom for this year's mother's day... Those cute mice by Lili of the Valley were just screaming for ink!

Ich habe eine Shakercard gemacht und dafür grün und blau gemusterte Papiere von Altair-Art verwendet. Das grün ist schön dezent und so beißt sich nichts.

I made a shaker card and used green and blue designer's papers by Atair-Art. The green is very subtle and so the colors go great together.

Hier könnt Ihr das Motiv genauer sehen, mit all den Schüttelteilen in eine Ecke, damit auch nichts verdeckt wird. Ich habe das Motiv mit der No-Lines Technik gestempelt bzw. coloriert. War etwas aufwändiger, aber die Arbeit wert. Auf dem Pilzhut habe ich Wink of Stella Clear aufgetragen, die kleinen Herzen sind mit Stickles überzogen.

Here you get a closer look of the image, all those shaker pieces put into a corner so nothing is covered by sequins or pearls. I did the no-line coloring here. It wasn't that easy or fast done but definately worth the effort. I covered the mushroom with clear Wink of Stella and the hearts got a layer of Stickles.

Und hier könnt Ihr noch die Deko - und endlich auch das Chipboard sehen. Ich hatte nur graues Chipboard - in Herzform - das ich dann mit weißem Gesso bemalt habe. Auf die Ränder habe ich etwas Smokey Grey Distress Ink aufgetupft, so wirkt es plastischer. Übrigens befindet sich auf dem Rahmen über dem Shakerteil oben rechts noch ein weiteres Herz aus Chipboard. ;)

Dann kamen noch ein Schnörkel, Spitze und Blumen als Deko dazu und natürlich ein passender Text.

An here you can see the decorations - and finally some chipboard also. I only found some grey heart-shaped chipboard in my stuff so I've covered those with white Gesso and added Distress Ink Smokey Grey to the edges. Oh, and if you didn't notice, there's another just smaller heart like this on the top right corner of the frame I've put on top of the shaker. ;)

At the end I've added a flourish, some lace and flowers and of course a matching saying meaning "happy mother's day".

Challenge #4 bei AltairArt

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei AltairArt. Für diesen Monat haben wir das Thema "Butterflies" ausgewählt. Von AltairArt gibt es zwar auch Designpapiere mit Schmetterlingen, ich habe mich aber für verschiedene rosafarbene Papiere entschieden und das Thema eher bei der Deko, dem Motiv und dem Text umgesetzt.

Today we are starting a new challenge over at AltairArt. For this month we picked the theme of butterflies. There are papers with a butterflies print by AltairArt but I went with different pink papers and followed the theme with my image, decorations and saying.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mich für ein pink-weiß kariertes Papier aus dem 15 x 15 cm Block Signs of Love entschieden. Das Papier mit dem schön dezenten Rosendruck ist das Body &  Soul Papier #07, darüber kam noch ein Stück des Foggy Dew Papiers Wild Geese. Der Druck sieht fast aus wie Schmetterlinge... Und zum Matten habe ich dann noch einen Bogen aus dem Blue Rose Paperpad verwendet.

For the background I went with a pink and white checked paper from the 15 x 15 Signs of Love paperpad. The paper with the nice and soft roses print is the Body & Soul # 7 sheet, on top of that I've added a piece of the Foggy Dew Wild Geese paper. The print on this one nearly looks like butterflies... And for the matting I used a sheet from the Blue Rose paperpad.

Das Motiv von Elisabeth Bell passte perfekt. Es ist mit Copics coloriert. Neben dem Motiv hat neben ein paar Blumen und ausgestanzten Zweigen noch ein großer Schmetterling Platz gefunden. Der sieht auf dem Foto etwas schmutzig aus. Ich habe ihn mit Kreide leicht eingefärbt und anschließend den klaren Wink of Stella darüber verteilt, so dass er in echt schön glitzert.

The image by Elisabeth Bell goes great with the theme. It's colored in with Copics. Beside the image there was room for not only  a few flowers and die cut branches but also a large butterfly. It looks kind of dirty on the picture. I've inked it in slightly with some chalks and then covered it with the clear Wink of Stella so in real life it has a nice shine.

Rechts habe ich dann noch ein Stück Schmetterling-Bordüre sowie den Text von SU aufgebracht.

On the right side I added a piece of a butterflies border and this saying by SU. It means "luck is like a butterfly. If you try to catch it, it flies away. So sit down and it will come to sit on your shoulder".

April-Challenge bei AltairArt

Heute startet die neue Challenge bei AltairArt - unser Thema lautet "Embossing, wet or dry". Es stehen einige Hochzeiten an, und für eine davon habe ich diese Explosionbox gewerkelt.

The new challenge over at AltairArt goes live today - and our theme is "embossing, wet or dry". There are a few weddings coming my way and for one of them I made this explosion box.

Für die Außenseiten habe ich das Papier Invisible Love aus der Foggy Dew Collection verwendet. Es hat ein ganz dezentes weißes Muster auf cremefarbenem Hintergrund.

Bevor ich das Papier auf die Box geklebt habe, habe ich es mit einem Prägefolder durch die Big Shot gedreht, so dass die Herzen de-bossed werden. Davor habe ich auf die Herzen Versamark aufgetupft, dadurch konnte ich die eingedrückten Herzen später mit goldfarbenem Embossingpulver hervorheben.

For the outside I used the Invisible Love paper from the Foggy Dew Collection. It has a very decent white pattern on a cream background.

Before glueing the paper to my box I run it through the Big Shot using an embossing folder in that way that the hearts get debossed. Before doing this, I patted a Versamark ink pad onto the hearts so I was able to heat emboss the hearts with a golden embossing powder afterwards. 

Oben auf dem Deckel habe ich eine große Papier-Rosette aufgeklebt, die ich aus braunem Cardstock gemacht habe. Darauf kamen Cheesecloth, ein gestrichelter Kreis und ein aus goldfarbenem Spiegelkarton gestanztes Ja.

Unter die Rosette kam ein Doily und ein Schnörkel.

Um den Rand des Deckels habe ich noch ein Band gewickelt und daran mit goldener Schnur etwas Tüll und goldene Glocken festgebunden.

To the lid I glued a big paper rosette made from brown cardstock. Then I put some cheesecloth, a stitched circle and a "yes" - the german way of saying I do - cut from golden mirror cardstock.

I've put a doily and a flourish underneath the rosette.

Around the lid I wrapped some brown ribbon and used golden twine to tie some tulle and a golden bell charm to it.

Und auch innen ist ordentlich dekoriert.

Hier habe ich das Papier First Butterfly verwendet. Es hat einen leicht dunkleren Farbton und einen Schmetterlingsprint.

Also the inside is decorated. I used the First Butterfly paper here. It is slightly darker in tone and has a butterflies print.

Die Mitte der Box ziert diese Hochzeitstorte. Die Blumen habe ich angebracht, um die Nahtstellen der Papiere zu überdecken. Kleine Perlen stecken dazwischen und in den Blütenmitten und natürlich steht die Torte auf einem weiteren Doily.

Mit einem Perlenpen habe ich noch etwas Tortendeko in Form von Girlanden hinzugefügt.

The middle of the box holds this wedding cake. I've added the flowers to cover the seams of the papers. There are a few pearls inbetween and in the middle of the flowers and of course the doily had to stand on another doily.

I used a pearl pen to add some garland decorations to the cake.

Jetzt kommen die Bilder der einzelnen Seitenteile. 

Auf diesem hier habe ich eine goldfarbene Ecke, Blumen und das Label Hochzeit von Kulricke verwendet.

Now I'll shar pictures of the inner sides.

On this one I added a golden corner, flowers and a text saying "heartfelt wishes for your wedding".

Auf der nächsten Seite habe ich einen Umschlag hinzugefügt, geschlossen mit Magneten. Und damit man auch gleich weiß, was drin ist, habe ich die Wunscherfüller-Stanze von Kulricke verwendet, um das Wort aus goldenem Spiegelkarton auszustanzen.

On the next side I've added an envelope that gets closed with magnets and added a text cut from golden mirror cardstock again. It says "fullfills a wish" - so you know there's money in this envelope.

Ein Hochzeitsrezept auf einem gemusterten Quadrat und Blüten zieren die nächste Seite.

A wedding recipe - like a guideline for a happy life together - on a patterened square and flowers were added to the next side.

Und auf der letzten Seite befindet sich dann noch eine kleine Einstecktasche mit einem Kärtchen, auf das noch persönliche Wünsche geschrieben werden.

And on the last side there is a little pocket with a small card to write some personal wishes onto.

Challenge # 3 bei AltairArt

Heute gibt es eine neue Challenge auf dem Blog von AltairArt. Und diesmal haben wir das Thema Spring Festival ausgewählt. Ihr könnt zu diesem Thema alles machen, was Euch zum Frühling einfällt. Das kann Ostern sein, Blumen, aber auch Hochzeit oder Kommunion.

Today we are starting a new challenge over at the AltairArt Blog. And for this months we've picked the theme of "spring festival". You can make anything spring related like Easter cards, use flowers but also do wedding or communion cards.

Ich habe mich für eine Osterkarte entschieden. Genauso wie zum Frühling generell, gefallen  mir zu Ostern pastellige Farben. Davon gibt es bei AltairArt jede Menge. Ich habe hier die hellblaue Seite Blue Monday aus der Foggy Dew Serie verwendet - und der rosafarbene Bannerstreifen ist die Rückseite Wild Geese. Das tolle hellrosafarbene Papier mit den gräulichen Rosen ist das Papier Ever and Always Ecru und das hellblaue Papier mit dem Rosendruck darüber ist Body and Soul 05/06. 

I decided to make an easter card. Like for spring I love to use light colors for Easter cards. AltairArt has a bunch of these. Here I used the light blue Blue Monday from the Foggy Dew series for the background and the back of this sheet for the pink banner across. The great light pink paper with the grey-ish roses is the Ever and Always Ecru paper and the light blue with the pink roses printed on is named Body and Soul 05/06.

In der Mitte der Karte habe ich einen gewellten Kreis aus dem Ever and Always Grey Papierbogen ausgeschnitten und darüber dann den Text Frohe Ostern rund von Kulricke geklebt. In den Kreis habe ich einen - noch leeren - Osterkorb und ein süßes Küken gesetzt. Gelb hätte hier für mich überhaupt nicht gepasst, darum ist mein Küken weiß...

Oben links habe ich zwei Wolken auf die Karte gesetzt und hier einen der Schmetterlinge aus dem Butterflies 2 Papierbogen aufgeklebt. Der passte sowohl farblich als auch thematisch.

Einige Blumen und zwei große weiße Federn sorgen noch für etwas mehr Frühlingsgefühl.

In the middle I've put a scalloped circle cut from the Ever and Always Grey paper and then put a round Happy Easter text on top of it. Inside the circle I've place a basket and this sweet chicken. Since yellow wouldn't have worked with the colors on my card I went with white for my chicken.

To the top left corner of the card I've added two clouds and placed one of the butterflies from the Butterflies 2 paper. It fit here in color and went with the theme.

A few flowers and two large white feathers add some more spring to my card.

Challenge #2 bei AltairArt

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge auf dem AltairArt Blog. Diesmal lautet das Thema "love is in the air".

Hello everyone!

Today we are starting a new challenge over at the AltairArt Blog. The new theme is "love is in the air". 

Ich habe diesmal eine Box für 4 Merci gewerkelt. Sie ist aus packpapierfarbenem Cardstock geschnitten.

Auf der Vorderseite habe ich ein Quadrat  mit einem tollen Holz- und Spitzenmuster aus dem Papierblock Dreams Come True aufgeklebt und es mit gepunktetem Papier aus dem Block Blue Rose gemattet.

Ein paar Röschen, ein großes Herz, Cheesecloth und der Schriftzug Love, überzogen mit Glossy Accents, genügten als Deko.

I made a box that fit 4 Merci chocolat bars in. It was cut from craftcolored cardstock.

On the front I added a square with a beautiful wood and doily print from the Dreams Come True paper pad and used a blue dotted paper from the Blue Rose paper collection for matting.

A few roses, a heart, cheesecloth and the word love, covered with Glossy Accents, were all it took for decorations.

Innen habe ich wieder das blaue Papier mit den Punkten zum Matten verwendet und darauf ein Quadrat mit einem toll romantischen Print aus dem Bogen Body and Soul 05 gesetzt. Und wie Ihr jetzt seht, ist das Herz auf der Vorderseite einfach der herzförmige Ausschnitt für das Fenster im Innenteil der Box.

On the inside I used the blue paper with the white dots again for matting and then put a square with a great romantic print from the designer's paper sheet Body and Soul 05 on top of it. And as you can see - the heart on the outside of the box is the cut out for the window on the inside.

Auch die Innenseite des Deckels habe ich dekoriert, um den Magnet zu verdecken. Naja, das ist mir nur teilweise gelungen... Man hätte mal vorher genau messen sollen. Aber egal, hier könnt Ihr auf jeden Fall den Print auf dem Papier nochmal besser sehen.

Also the inside of the id got decorated to cover the magnets. Well, that was the intention, I just should have done more measuring before glueing the magnets down. Okay, it is what it is - and at least you can see the beautiful print on the paper again and better.

Challenge #1 bei AltairArt und eine Neuigkeit

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Diese Karte habe ich für die heute startende Challenge bei AltairArt gemacht. Und da kommen wir gleich zur Neuigkeit: ich darf im DT von AltairArt dabei sein! AltairArt ist eine Firma aus Polen, die ganz wunderbare Designpapiere herstellt. Ich hatte sie mir online angesehen und war begeistert. Als ich dann mein DT-Paket bekam war ich wirklich hin und weg. Die Prints sind wirklich toll und genau nach meinem Geschmack, alle Papiere sind doppelseitig und die Grammatur ist mit 250 g ebenfalls super. Ihr werdet also mehr davon sehen! 

Für meine Karte zum Challengethema "Gears and Wheels" habe ich Papiere aus der ganz neuen Serie "Tears in the Rain" verwendet. Die habe teilweise bereits Zahnräder aufgedruckt und passten somit super.

Hello everyone!

I made this card for the new challenge at AltairArt which starts today. And here are some great news: I am a member of the AltairArt DT! AltairArt is a company from Poland producing amazing designer's papers. I checked those online before applying their DT call and really loved them. And when I got the papers I was over the moon. The prints are wonderful and exactly what I love, they are all doublesided and have a weight of 250 g which is great, too. So be prepared to see more of these!

For the card I made for the challenge with the theme "gears and wheels" I used some papers from the brand new Tears in the Rain collection. Some of them already have gears printed on them and so they were the perfect choice.

Ich habe eines der 15 x 15 cm Papiere als Hintergrundpapier genommen, ein Quadrat mit einem soften Notenmuster schräg darauf gesetzt und darüber kam ein Kreis mit einem shabby Holz Design. Die Papiere habe ich weiß gemattet und die Ränder weiß eingestrichen.

I used one of the 15 x 15 cm papers for the background, put a square with a soft notes prints turned a bit on top of it and then added a circle with a shabby wood pattern. The papers have been mattet and I put some white Gesso on the edges.

Der Tag, den ich nicht auf der Karte festgeklebt sondern ihn nur zwischen die Lagen gesteckt habe, so dass er herausgezogen werden kann, kommt so ebenfalls aus dieser Papierreihe. Ich habe ihn nur ausgeschnitten, die Ränder mit Gesso bestrichen und etwas Spitze, Band und eine Blume hinzugefügt.

The tag, that I didn't glue on the card but put it inbetween those layers so it can be pulled out, is also from this collection of papers. I just cut it out, added Gesso to the edges again and then used some white string to tie the lace and flower to it.

Und auch der Dare to be a Dreamer text war schon fertig so. Ich habe ein Ticket verwendet, um ihn auszustanzen.
Den Kreis habe ich mit einem Zahnradkreis hinterlegt und darauf das DieCut mit der Uhr und den Zahnrädern gesetzt.
Unter dem Text sind noch ein paar Blumen, Perlenstränge und Organzaband.

And also the dare to be a dreamer saying came like this in the pack of papers. I used a ticket die to cut it out.
Behind the circle I've put a gear circle and then put a diecut watch with gears on top of it.
Under the text there are some flowers, pearl strands and some organza ribbon.

Natürlich durfte auch ein Motiv nicht fehlen. Ich habe dieses Gorjuss Mini mit der Taschenuhr genommen - die passte perfekt zum Thema.

Of course I also wanted to add an image and went with this Gorjuss mini with the watch because she just got great with the theme.

Ich hoffe, Ihr macht bei der Challenge mit - Ihr müsst dafür auch keine AltairArt Papiere verwenden, wenn Ihr keine habt!
