Heute möchte ich Euch wieder eine Sugar Nellie Karte zeigen - und entstanden ist eine Geburtstagskarte in rot und rosa.

Hey there everyone!

today I want to share another Sugar Nellie card - and I made a birthday card in pink and red.

Birthday Princess ist der Name dieses süßen Stempels. Ich finde das Motiv einfach wunderbar und es war super zu colorieren.

Da ich schon ziemlich unruhige Papiere verwendet habe, habe ich mich mit der Deko zurückgehalten und nur ein klein wenig Spitze und ein paar Rosen verwendet. 

Birthday Princess is the name of this cute stamp. I love this image and it was wonderful to color.

Since I used some designer's papers that are very dark and with a lot of pattern I didn't add many embellishments to not overload the card. So I went just with a little lace and a few flowers.

Like every monday also this one starts off with a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. This week we have a sketch for you:

Auf meiner Karte heute darf ich Euch eine kleine Vorschau auf gleich zwei neue Motive von Whiff Of Joy geben: Racing Henry und Racing Car. Die anderen Motive zeigen wir Euch bei unserem Blog Hop am Mittwoch...

Die beiden Motive mussten natürlich kombiniert werden - wobei sie auch einzeln super zu verwenden sind. Und wie wohl den meisten kam auch mir das Ferrari-Rot als erstes in den Sinn. Damit sich Henry gut vom Flitzer abhebt, habe ich seinen Anzug in weiß coloriert. 

Klar, dass er mit diesem schnellen Wagen das Rennen gewinnt - und so habe ich die Siegerschleife gleich mit auf die Karte gepackt. 

On my card I am able to not only show you one but two new images by Whiff Of Joy that will be available soon: Racing Henry and Racing Car. We will present the other images during our blog hop on wednesday...

Of course I had to combine those two images - though they would also be great to be used singulary. And like most of us also I had to think of the Ferrrari red first. I colored Henry's clothes in white to make him and the car different in color.

With this fast car Henry of course would win the race - so I put the ribbon for the 1st place already on the card.

Magnolia Down Under - surprise for Louise

Herzlich willkommen an diesem Sonntag Morgen!

Es gibt wieder eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under - und diese Woche ist sie ganz besonders. Unser liebes DT-Mitglied Louise erwartet jeden Tag ihr zweites Kind. Wir alle würden gerne bei ihr sein, um eine Babyparty für sie zu schmeißen. Aber da das nicht möglich ist, geben wir eine virtuelle Babyparty auf dem Magnolia Down Under Blog! Und als Thema haben wir daher diesmal ein Inspirationsfoto und das Thema "Baby" ausgewählt.

There's a new challenge up over at Magnolia Down Under - and this week it is a very special one. Our wonderful DT member Louise is expecting her second baby any day now. We all would love to be with her and throw a baby shower for her. But since it is impossible we are doing a cyber baby shower over at Magnolia Down Under! As our new theme we picked an inspiration picture and the theme of "baby".

Ich habe eine Box verziert. Da Louise ein Mädchen erwartet, habe ich mich natürlich an die klassische rosa-weiß Kombi gehalten. Oben auf der Box prangt Summer Flower Tilda.

I decorated a box for her. Since Louise is expecting a baby girl I went with the classical white and pink theme. On top of the box is Summer Flower Tilda.

 

Neben Blumen, Spitze und Band habe ich mit den Buchstabenperlen von Whiff Of Joy das Wort BABY auf die Box geklebt. Und eine schöne Deko-Ecke aus Metall durfte auch nicht fehlen.

Beside some flowers, lace and ribbon I used those pearls by Whiff Of Joy to write the word BABY. And I also added a wonderful corner embellishment.

Die Seiten der Box habe ich mit Bordüre und gekräuselter Spitze verziert, geschlossen wird sie mit einem Organzaband.

The sides of the box are decorated with a border and some crinkled lace. The box gets closed with some organza ribbon.

Louise hat ja bereits eine Tochter - Signe. Und da ich als selbst große Schwester weiß, wie schwer es sein kann, wenn sich plötzlich alles um das neue Baby dreht, habe ich für sie eine passende kleine Box mitgemacht. Auch hier habe ich die Summer Flower Tilda verwendet, allerdings als Mini. Und dazu den Text "Glückwunsch, dass Du eine große Schwester geworden bist" mit dem Computer geschrieben.

Louise already has a daughter - Signe. I am a big sister on my own and I know how it can feel if everything is about the new baby so I made Signe a small matching box. I also used Summer Flower Tilda for it, but used the Mini here. The text "congrats on becoming a big sister" has been computer generated.

Auch diese Box wird mit einer Organzaschleife geschlossen.

Diesmal zeigen wir Euch, wie Ihr diese Blumen-Easel-Card machen könnt.

Hello and welcome to a new issue of Stempeleinmaleins!

This week we are going to show you how to make such a flower-easel-card.

 Mit meiner Karte darf ich Euch auch eine Vorschau auf eines der Motive geben, das im Herbst-Stempelkit von Whiff Of Joy enthalten sein wird. Das Kit könnt Ihr jetzt vorbestellen, der Inhalt ist, bis auf zwei Vorschaumotive, geheim. Aber da es nicht sicher ist, ob es die Stempel einzeln geben wird und Ihr außerdem im Vergleich zum Einzelkauf richtig Geld sparen könnt, lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall! Auch der Schriftzug "cheers to love, life and happiness" wird im Set enthalten sein.

With this card I can also give you a sneak peak of one of the images that will come with the secret stamp kit by Whiff Of Joy. The kit can now be pre-ordered, the content is secret except those two images the DT is sharing with you at the moment. But since it isn't sure that those images will be available as single stamps and since you really save a lot of money compared to the prize of those single stamps ordering your set is really worth it! 

Also the text "cheers to love, life and happiness" will be included in the set.

In die Mitte der Blumen habe ich einen runden Text mit einem Knopf in Herz-Form gesetzt, außerdem habe ich neben die Blüten noch zwei Blätter gegeben. Der Textstreifen ist unter der kleinsten Blüte befestigt.

I put a round text and a heartshaped button in the middle of the smallest flower, I also added some leaves next to the flower. The strip with the text is put under the smallest flower.

There's a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday. And this week we have come up with a sketch for you:

Nun, das Schuljahr neigt sich dem Ende entgegen und es heißt, von so manchem Lehrer Abschied zu nehmen. Meine Große hat Ihre Ausbildung zur Kinderpflegerin beendet und bevor es jetzt weiter auf die Fachakademie für Erzieherinnen geht, muss auch sie sich von Lehrern und den Erzieherinnen und Kindern in "ihrem" Kindergarten verabschieden. Und dies ist eine der Karten, die ich dafür gemacht habe.

Das Motiv ist von Hänglar und ich habe es mit Distress Markern coloriert. Meine eigenen sind leider immer noch nicht eingetroffen (ich hoffe, sie sind nicht auf dem Weg aus den USA verloren gegangen, denn immerhin sind sie schon 2 Monate unterwegs), aber ich durfte nochmal die Marker der lieben Helga benutzen. 

School year is nearly over here in our part of Germany and so it's time to say goodbye to some teachers. This is a card I made for my oldest's teacher.

The image is by Hanglar and I colored it with Distress Markers. I am still waiting for my own ones (hope they didn't lost during their way from the States because they are on their way since 2 months now) but I was able to use my friends' ones again.

Eine Eisfee im Sommer

Hallo und schönen Dienstag!
Wie jede Woche, zeige ich Euch auch heute eine Karte mit einem der süßen Stempel von Sugar Nellie. Und diesmal habe ich "I Grant You One Wish" verwendet. Auch wenn Sommer ist, die Schneeflocken und der frostige Look haben mich zumindest etwas abgekühlt.

Hello and happy tuesday!
As every week I am sharing a card using one of those cute stamps by Sugar Nellie. And this week I went with "I Grant You One Wish". Even if it's summer outside - those snowflakes and the frosty look cooled me down a bit.

Ich habe das Motiv hier zweimal gestempelt - einmal nur die Flügel in blau-grau-grün, und darüber dann den Rest des Motives mit schwarzer Farbe. Vorher habe ich so genau wie möglich die schwarze Tinte von allen Flügel-Linien abgewischt. Ich gebe zu, ich brauchte zwei Versuche, aber das Ergebnis war es wert!
Natürlich durften ein paar große Schneeflocken und Eiskristalle als Deko nicht fehlen.

I stamped this image twice - first I only inked up the wings with a blue-grey-green-ish color and then added the rest of the image with black ink. Before I removed as acurat as possible all the black ink from the wings' lines. I admit, I needed two tries but the result was definately worth it!
Of course I had to add some snowflakes and sparkling ice crystals as decoration.

A new week - a new challenge at Stamps&Fun=Creativity. And our new theme is "summer".

Ich durfte mir beim letzten Stempeltreffen einen Abdruck dieses süßen Stempels von Lili of the Valley machen - und der ist einfach perfekt für das Sommerthema. Ich habe die beiden Süßen ins hohe grüne Gras gesetzt und oben zwei kleine ausgestanzte Wolken schweben lassen. Der Text ist von Whiff Of Joy.

At our last meeting of stampers I stamped this cute couple by Lili of the Valley - and it's perfect for the summer theme. I sat those two cuties in the green grass and added two punched out clouds. Saying is by Whiff Of Joy.

Es gibt wieder eine neue Challenge bei Magnolia Down Under - und diesmal soll sie "für Jungs" sein.

There is a new challenge over at Magnolia Down Under - and this week it's "one for the boys".

Ich habe so einige bisher nicht abgestempelte Edwins hier liegen und einen von denen wollte ich benutzen. Und somit ist es Super Edwin geworden. Und damit er nicht so allein da rumsteht, habe ich im Hintergrund den Planeten (Mond?) und das kleine Raumschiff von einem der Magnolia-Texte gestempelt. Der passende Text ist dann mit dem Computer geschrieben. 

Klar, dass Sterne nicht fehlen durften und der kleine Raumschiff-Pin hatte seit langen in meinem Vorrat gelegen und nur auf diese Karte gewartet.

I have a few Edwin stamps that I haven't inked up yet and I wanted to use one of these. And so I picked Super Edwin. I also use the planet (is it the moon?) and the little rocket from one of the sayings to create that little scene. The matching saying has been computer generated.

Of course I had to add a few stars and that rocket pin has been sitting in my stuff for ages, just waiting for this card.

Für meine Karte habe ich diesen süßen Engel Heavenly Angel von Sugar Nellie verwendet. Die Stempellinien der Flügel habe ich mit Glitter nachgezogen.

Die Kombo aus gold und weiß mit etwas blau fand ich prima und große goldene Sterne als Deko boten sich natürlich auch an.

For my card I used Heavenly Angel by Sugar Nellie. The stamped lines of the wings have been covered with some glitter.

I loved the combo of white, blue and gold for this image and those big golden stars as decoration were my first idea to pick up something from the image.

Einen schönen Donnerstag Euch allen!

Wie jede Woche gibt es auch heute eine neue Challenge bei Cute Card Thursday. Und diesmal dreht sich alles um den Garten - "gardener's world". 

A very happy thursday to all of you!

As every week there is a new challenge starting over at Cute Card Thursday also today. And this time it's all about our gardens - "gardener's world" is our new theme.

Es gibt ja viele süße Motive mit Blumen oder Figuren im Gras, aber der erste Stempel, der mir zu diesem Thema in den Sinn gekommen ist, ist der "Du hast einen grünen Daumen"-Henry. Denn das ist wirklich das perfekte Motiv für einen Gärtner.

Naja, durch die Tomaten waren die Farben grün und rot ja quasi vorgegeben - und bei den beiden bin ich dann geblieben. Das satte, dunkle Grün mit weiß, grau und dem Hauch rot finde ich prima.

There are a lot of cute images showing flowers or people/animals in the grass but the first stamp that came to my mind when I read the theme was "You have green fingers"-Henry. He's really the perfect image for any gardener.

Because of the tomatoes the colors of red and green were given - and I sticked to those. I really love this dark green  with the white and grey and hint of red.

Schönen Mittwoch - und happy 4th of July an alle Amerikaner!

Hello friends - and happy 4th of July to all americans out there!

Heute startet wieder eine neue Challenge bei Whiff Of Joy und passend zum heutigen Tag heißt unser Thema "stars and stripes".

Today a new challenge is starting over at Whiff Of Joy and matching the date our new theme is "stars and stripes".

Wie Ihr sehen könnt, muss es nicht unbedingt "amerikanisch" sein. Ich habe stattdessen dieses süße Wichtel-Motiv verwendet (im Shop kann ich es leider momentan nicht finden) und passen dazu einen großen Stern und etwas Sternenpapier verwendet. Und die Streifen findet man dann auf dem Papier im Hintergrund. Türkis und weiß finde ich eine prima Farbkombi für dieses Motiv und die Sterne habe ich dick mit Stickles überzogen.

As you can see you don't have to make anything "american" for this theme. I used this cute gnome image (sorry but I can't find it in their shop at the moment so I can't link it) and added a big star and some star printed designer's paper. And those stripes can be found on the paper in the background.
I love white and turquoise with this image and the stars on the image got a thick layer of Stickles.

Wunderschönen Dienstag - oder sollte ich lieber sagen zuckersüßen?

Heute möchte ich Euch wieder eine Sugar Nellie Karte zeigen. Seit letztem Freitag gibt es ja die neuen Motive, die wir Euch zuvor in Mini Blog Hops präsentiert haben. Aber dieses Motiv (Candy Heart) fehlt dort noch, denn auch das ist ganz neu erhältlich. Und es ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes süß!

Happy tuesday - or sould I say sweet tuesday?

Today I want to share another Sugar Nellie Card. There are some fabulous new images available since last friday and we were presenting those to you in some mini blog hops earlier. But this image (called Candy Heart) didn't get a blog hop -  but it's available as well. And it's literally sweet!

Diese großen Dauerlutscher müssen für mich einfach rot und weiß sein. Und weil nur rot und weiß für die Karte doch zu langweilig wäre, habe ich etwas gelb mit dazu verwendet. Oh, und Glitzer durfte dann natürlich auch nicht fehlen.

Beim Verzieren habe ich mit Draht und ausgestanzten Herzen versucht, die "herzigen Schnörkel" zwischen den Lutschern zu wiederholen und diese statt Blättern zwischen die Blumen gesteckt.

Those huge lollipops just have to be red and white for me. And since those two colors were a bit boring for the whole card I added a sunny yellow. Oh, and of course I needed some glitter as well.

While decorating the card I used some wire and punched out hearts to kind of repeat the "hearty flourishes" from between the lollipops of the image and put these between the flowers instead some leaves.

Schon letzte Woche hatte ich Euch ja eine Karte mit einem der süßen Matrosen-Jungs von Mo Manning gezeigt. Und das neue Thema war perfekt, um den nächsten zu colorieren. Farblich bin ich wieder beim matrosentypischen blau-weiß geblieben. Normalerweise fällt mir das Dekorieren von Jungs-Karte ja nicht ganz so leicht, aber hier war mit zwei Fähnchen, etwas Filmstrip, einem Sternenbrad und ein paar Blümchen und Schnörkeln die Arbeit schon getan. Und natürlich durfte auch die Crackle Paint nicht fehlen...

I already showed you one of the cute sailor boys by Mo Manning last week. And our new theme was the perfect one to ink up another one of them. Colorwise I sticked with the maritim blue and white.
Usually I have a hard time decorating boys' cards but here this job was easily done with two flags, some filmstrip, a star brad and a few flowers and flourishes. Oh, and of course I had to add some Crackle Paint again...
