Auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog startet heute die Challenge des Monats Mai. Und naheliegenderweise haben wir uns für Vater- oder Muttertag als Thema entschieden. Mein Vater lebt leider nicht mehr, deswegen habe ich eine Muttertagskarte gemacht. Wobei mir Karten für Frauen ja eh leichter fallen...

Over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog the may challenge ist starting today. And we picked mother's or father's day as our theme, since both of these days are in may. My dad sadly passed away two years ago so I made a mother's day card. But cards for women are always easier to me....
Ich habe eine cremefarbene Grundkarte genommen und ein Stück weißen Cardstock etwas kleiner zugeschnitten. Dann habe ich verschiedene Stempel aus dem Stempelset Bold Blossoms quer über die Karte gestempelt. Ich habe Gelb-, Orange- und Pinktöne sowie ein wenig Türkis verwendet. Ich habe die Mini Dye Ink Pads von MFT benutzt.
I've used a cream colored card base and cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller. Then I stamped different stamps from the Bold Blossoms stamp set across the white cardstock. I've used different tones of yellow, orange and pink and added some turquoise. I used the Mini Dye Ink Pads by MFT here.
Dann wurde es frickelig. Zuerst habe ich das MOM aus dem weißen Cardstock ausgestanzt und dann das Herz. Das Herz habe ich noch drei weitere Male aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und an derselben Stelle wie beim bestempelten Herz das Mom auch aus dem weißen Cardstock ausgestanzt. Das Mom habe ich dann noch 6 mal aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich die bestempelten Teile mit den weißen unterlegt und wieder in die Karte gesetzt. So habe ich drei Lagen mit fortlaufendem Motiv: die bestempelte Karte ganz unten, das Herz als mittlere Lage und das Mom als oberste.
Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch ein Banner oben über das Herz geklebt, auf das ich einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset All About You aufgestempelt habe, und ein paar Glitzersteine.
Then it got tricky. First I've die cut the MOM from the cardstock I've stamped the flowers on, then I've cut out the heart from it. Then I've cut three more of the heart from white cardstock and from those the Mom in exactly the same spot. The Mom was also cut 6 more times from white cardstock and then I've layered the white die cuts with the stamped on layer on top and put everything back in the card. That made me end up with three layers with a continueing image: the stamped on white base, the heart als the middle layer and the Mom as the top one.
In the end I've added a banner to the top of the heart on which I've stamped one of the texts from the All About You stamp set and a few rhinestones.
