Eine kleine Hexe...

Ab morgen gibt es die Oktober-Neuheiten von Scrapbook Forever. Ich zeige Euch heute schon mal eine Karte mit Stempeln eines der Sets. Ich finde die kleine Hexe im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes zauberhaft!

The october release by Scrapbook Forever will be available tomorrow. Today I am giving you a sneak peek with this card that I've used stamps from one of the sets. I just love this little witch!

Für die Karte habe ich den Hintergrund mit Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire, Hickory Smoke und Black Soot gestaltet. Die Terrassentür ist mit einer Fensterstanze von Joy Crafts gemacht. Den Bereich hinter dem Fenster habe ich ausgeschnitten und mit schwarzem Carstock hinterlegt.

For the card I've created a background using Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. The door is made using a cutting die by Joy Crafts. I've cut out the area behind the door and put some black cardstock behind it.

Hier ist die süße Hexe mit ihrem schwarzen Kater. Die Motive sind mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund aufgeklebt.

Here's the cute witch with her black cat. The images have been colored with Copics, cut out and glued onto the background with dimensionals.

Aber was wäre eine Hexe, wenn sie nicht zaubern könnte?

What's a witch that can't do magic?

Natürlich kann das die Hexe auf meiner Karte. Und mit einem einfachen Zauberspruch fallen glitzernde Sterne draußen vor dem Fenster zu Boden.

Of course my witch can. And with a simple spell she's letting glittering stars tumble down to earth in front of her window.

Hier seht Ihr die Karte nochmal mit gezauberten Sternen. Hinter der Karte befindet sich ein einfacher Slider. Zieht man am Tab unten an der Karte, fährt das schwarze Cardstockteil nach unten und gibt den Blick auf die Funkelsterne frei. Für die Sterne habe ich den Sternenregenstempel aus dem Stempelset Ein kleiner Wunscherfüller mit silber-glitzerndem Embossingpulver auf den Hintergrund embosst.
Oh, und den Text, den ich einfach ins Fenster hineinragen habe lassen, findet Ihr auch im neuen Zauberset.

Here you get a look at the card with the stars showing. There's a simple slider mechanism included in this card. When you pull the tab at the bottom of the card the plain piece of black cardstock slides down and reveals the one with the stamped on stars. The stars have been heat embossed using a glittery silver embossing powder.
The saying is glued down so it overlaps with the window and means "magical moments".

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 28. September 2019

Beim Stempeleinmaleins haben wir heute eine neue Sketch-Inspiration für Euch. Und das ist meine Umsetzung dazu.

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we have another sketch inspiration for you. And this is my take on it.

Ich habe mir das Bookworm Stempelset von Mama Elephant gegönnt. Das finde ich einfach zu süß! Und weil die Stempel eingeweiht werden wollten, habe ich meine Karte rund um das Thema Buch, Lesen, Text aufgebaut.

Zu bunte Karten sind ja nicht so meins. Ganz monochrom wollte ich aber auch nicht bleiben. Also habe ich mir ein Designpapier ausgesucht - hier türkisblau mit aufgedrucktem Text, und diese Farbe mit Grau sowie Schwarz und Weiß kombiniert.

Unten auf der Karte habe ich ein aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanztes Happy mit weißem Untergrund aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich ein Stanzenset von Sizzix verwendet.

I recently bought the Bookworm stamp set by Mama Elephant. It's just too cute! And since the stamps wanted to see some color I've made a card about books, reading, texts. 

I have a hard time making too colorful cards but didn't want to go completly monochrome. So I went through my designer's papers and found this turquoise-blue one with a printed on text. I've picked the turquoise and combined it with greys, black and white.

To the bottom of the card I've glued a die cut happy, cut from black carstock and with some white matting. I've used a die by Sizzix here.

Und hier sind nun die süßen Motive. Die riesigen Brillen finde ich einfach klasse! Hier habe ich gleich 8 Stempel aus dem Set verwendet. Sie sind teilweise an-/aufeinander maskiert. Ich habe alle ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape aufeinander gesetzt. Der Bücherstapel ist eine Lage, die Bücher mit Hase und Schwein eine zweite und all die Tiere auf dem Buch die dritte. Da ich, wie gesagt, nur Grautöne zu dem Türkis verwenden wollte, ist das Schweinchen hier grau. Aber ich finde es trotzdem süß. 

Aus dem Hintergrundpapier habe ich einen Kreis ausgestanzt und die Ränder mit weißem Gesso bestrichen. Dann habe ich es weiß hinterlegt und auf das Hintergrundpapier geklebt.  

Der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Our Story von MFT. Ich habe ihn auf zwei Banner aus schwarzem Cardstock weiß embosst, weiß hinterlegt und ebenfalls mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar türkisfarbene Enamel Accents auf der Karte verteilt, alles schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße Grundkarte geklebt.

And here are the cute images. I just love their huge glasses! Here I've used 8 different stamps from the set. Partly they are stamped together, doing some masking. I've cut all of them out and used dimensionals to put the scene together. The stacked books are one layer, the standing books with the bunny and pig another one and the last one is made of all those animals on the open book. As mentioned I only combined greys with the turquoise, so also the piggy is grey. But I still think he's a real cutie.

I've die cut a circle from the designer's paper and put some white Gesso onto the edges. Then I've matted it white and glued it onto the card.

The saying is from the Our Story stamp set by MFT. I've white heat embossed it onto two strips of black cardstock, matted them white and glued them onto the card using dimensionals again.

In the end I've added some turquoise Enamel Accents, matted the whole panel black and glued it onto a white card base.

Eine Box zu Halloween

Mir war schon wieder nach Halloween - und so zeige ich heute diese Box auf dem Kulricke-Blog.

I felt like doing some Halloween crafts again - and so I am sharing this box over at the Kulricke Blog today.

 Ich habe hier die Schoko-Ei Box aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit der kleinsten der Nesting Rectangle Small Stanzen ein Fenster in die Vorderseite gestanzt. Außen habe ich die Box ein wenig mit weißer Tinte betupft, innen habe ich Designpapier mit Zickzack-Muster in Halloween-Farben aufgeklebt.

Here I've used a box die and cut it from white cardstock. I've added a small rectangle cut out off the front as a window. I've used a white ink pad on the outside of the box and glued some designer's paper with a zig zag pattern in Halloween-ish colors to the insides.

Vorne habe ich die Box mit dem kleinen Zauberer aus dem Stempelset Felix Zauberhaft Minis sowie dem kleineren der Kürbisse dekoriert. Eigentlich hat der Kürbis ja die Skyline von Köln als Gesicht. Da ich selbst mit Köln jetzt  nicht so viel zu tun habe, habe ich diesen Teil des Stempels einfach herausgeschnitten und stattdessen ein traditionelles Halloweengesicht per Hand dazugemalt. 

Hinter Felix und Kürbis habe ich noch das Gras aus dem Schattenbox Stanzenset geklebt.

Gefüllt ist die Box übrigens mit einem Lutscher mit tollem Knochenhand-Stiel sowie ein wenig Cheesecloth.

To the front of the box I've glued this little magician penguin and a Jack-O-Lantern. This one originally has the skyline of Cologne as the face. Well, I am in no way connected to Cologne so I've simply cut out this part of the stamp and handdrew a traditional Jack-O-Lantern face. 

Behind the pumpkin and the penguin I've added some grass, cut from yellow cardstock.

By the way, the box is filled is a lollipop with a wonderful spooky boney hand stick and some cheesecloth.

Oben an die Verschlusslaschen habe ich noch das Wort Boo auf einem Banner geklebt. Dafür habe ich das ABC Banner Stanzenset benutzt, das gleichzeitig Banner und Buchstaben stanzt. Die Buchstaben-Ausschnitte habe ich mit demselben Designpapier hinterlegt, das ich auch für die Verkleidung der Innenseiten verwendet habe. 

Um die Box zu schließen habe ich durch die Löcher in den Laschen ein Stück orangefarbenes Garn gezogen und zur Schleife gebunden.

To the front top flap I've glued the word boo on a banner. I've used the ABC Banner dies by Kulricke which die cuts banners and letters at the same time. Behind the letter cut outs I've glued some of the same designer's paper I've also used to cover the inside of the box.

To close the box I've put some orange twine through the holes in the flaps and tied it to a bow.

Heute darf ich wieder auf dem Stampcorner Blog posten. Und ich musste einfach das süße    Freunde #2 Stempelset nochmal verwenden. Die Motive sind so zuckersüß!

It's my turn to post over at the Stampcorner Blog again. And I just had to bring out those cute elephants. Those images are so adorable!

Auch hier habe ich wieder eine One Layer Card gemacht. Ich finde, zu den zarten Motiven passt das einfach prima.

Auf den oberen Teil eines Stücks weißen Cardstock habe ich die Szene gestaltet, auf den unteren Teil den tollen Spruch aus dem Set gestempelt. Die beiden passen so perfekt zusammen.

Dann habe ich den Cardstock gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Again I've made a One Layer Card. I think these are perfect for those images because they really are the focus on the card.

On the upper part of a piece of white cardstock I've created the scene, on the lower part I've stamped a saying. It means something like "you can achieve anything with a good friend". 

Then I've matted the whole piece and glued it onto a white note card.

Und hier seht Ihr die komplette Szene.

Zuerst habe ich Elefant und Hase gestempelt, sie dann maskiert und im Hintergrund mit dem Scene Builder Set von MFT die Hügel, Bäume und Büsche aufgestempelt. Ebenso das Gras mit den Gänseblümchen unter dem Elefanten. Auch diese Motive habe ich abgedeckt und dann mit goldenem Embossingpulver die Hälfte des Strahlenkreises aus dem Say it in a Starburst von MFT aufgebracht. Dann habe ich mit Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass und Mowed Lawn die großen Flächen eingefärbt.

Die Motive habe ich anschließend mit Copics coloriert und ein paar Highlights mit einem weißen Gelmarker hinzugefügt.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch zwei kleine Wolken an den Himmel geklebt.

And here you see the complete scene.

First I've stamped elephant and bunny, then covered them with masking tape and added the background by stamping the trees, bushes and hills from the Scene Builder stamp set by MFT. This is also when I stamped the grass with the flowers underneath the elephant. Then I've covered those images as well and used golden embossing powder to add the rays from the Say it in a Starburst stamp set by MFT. To fill in the areas I've used Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn.

Then I've colored the images with my Copics and added a few highlights with a white gelly marker. 

At the end I've also glued two small clouds to the sky.

Auch wenn es der Posttitel den Anschein erwecken mag, wirklich verrückt ist meine Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, gar nicht. Aber es passte so schön zu Text und Motiv.

Even if the title of this post may give the impression - the card that I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today isn't at all nuts. But it goes great with the image and text.

Hier kam das Stempelset Squirrel! von MFT zum Einsatz. Ich finde die Motive alle so goldig und hätte sie am liebsten alle auf die Karte gepackt. Das geht aber natürlich nicht. Und so habe ich weißen Cardstock mit der Eichel aus dem Set bestempelt und mit No-Line Coloring coloriert. 

Here I've used the Squirrel! stamp set by MFT. I just love all those images from the set and it was hard to pick one. But since putting them all on one card is impossible I had to make a decision. So I've used the acorn and stamped it all over a piece of white cardstock and then colored it with the No-Lines Technique.

Aus dem fertigen Hintergrund habe ich dann das mittlere der Sechsecke aus dem Blueprints 33 Stanzenset ausgestanzt, die Ausstanzung dunkelbraun hinterlegt und wieder so aufgeklebt, dass die Motive wieder zusammenpassen, nur durch den braunen Rand unterbrochen. 

Da die Eicheln auf dem Sechseck etwas zu sehr zu sehen waren und somit hier sehr vom Rest der Deko abgelenkt haben, habe ich das Sechseck nochmal aus Vellum gestanzt und über das andere geklebt. Den Kleber habe ich unter den Buchstaben versteckt. 

Den Text aus demselben Set habe ich zweigeteilt und auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst. Das Nutty habe ich hier ganz weggelassen. Stattdessen habe ich es aus craftfarbenem Cardstock mit den Impact Alphabeth Stanzen ausgestanzt. Um für mehr Kontrast zu sorgen habe ich sie ebenfalls aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgestanzt und versetzt hinter die einzelnen Buchstaben geklebt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem weißen Gelmarker Highlights hinzugefügt. Die Buchstaben habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf das Sechseck geklebt, das Y musste ein wenig nach oben rutschen, da es sonst zu sehr verdecktk worden wäre. Passt hier aber, finde ich.

Auf die Buchstaben kamen dann die beiden Eichhörnchen, die sich hier kleine Verrücktheiten zuflüstern. Daneben habe ich noch die Pilze gesetzt. Auch diese Motive sind mit der No-Line Technik coloriert.

Neben das kleine Eichhörnchen habe ich noch die Sprechblase aus dem Peek-a-Boo Wheel Stanzenset aufgeklebt und darauf mit dem Birdie Brown Alphabet das Wort PST... gestempelt. Was die beiden da aushecken ist ja schließlich geheim!

Zum Schluss habe ich den weißen Cardstock dunkelbraun gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.

From the background with the colored acorns I've die cut the middle sized hexagon from the Blueprints 33 die set, matted it with some dark brown cardstock and glued it back in place making sure the images fit together, just broken up by the dark brown edge. 

Since the acorns on the hexagon were a bit too bright and took too much attention from the rest of the decorations here I've cut another hexagon from Vellum and put it on top of the colored one. The glue is hidden under the letters I've added on top.

The saying from the same stamp set is divided into two parts and white heat embossed onto dark brown cardstock. I've left out the Nutty and replaced it with a die cut one, cut from kraft colored cardstock using the Impact Alphabet die set. To add some contrast I've die cut the letters once again from black cardstock and glued them slightly off behind the craft letters. I've also added some highlights with a white gelly marker. Then I've glued the letters onto the hexagon, using dimensionals. The Y had to move up a bit since it would have been covered too much by the image. But I think that fits perfectly right here.

Onto the letters I've added those two squirrels that seem to share some funny secrets here - of planning to do someone a trick. I've also added the mushrooms here. All images were again colored with the No-Lines Technique.

Next to the smaller squirrel I've added one of the speach bubbles from the Peek-a-Boo Wheel die set and since what they are saying is a secret I've stamped a PST... onto it using the Birdie Brown Alphabet stamp set.

At the end I've matted my card panel with some dark brown cardstock and glued it onto a white card base.

Und nochmal Rudolph

Heute habe ich nochmal eine Karte mit dem neugierigen Rudolph von Scrapbook Forever zu zeigen.

Today I have another card with the curious Rudolph by SF Stamps to share.

Diesmal schaut er ganz frech aus einem Kamin heraus! Ich weiß ja nicht, ob das geplant war, dass er dort hineinrutscht - die Weihnachtsdeko des Hauses hat auf jeden Fall ein wenig gelitten. 

Hier habe ich Schneeflocken weiß auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst. Für das Dach habe ich mehrere Streifen roten Cardstocks mit gewelltem Rand versetzt übereinander geklebt und ein wenig mit Schnee - gemacht mit Strukturpaste - dekoriert.

This time he's looking out of a chimney. I'm not sure if it was the plan for him to get down the chimney - the house's christmas decorations for sure took some damage.

Here I've white heat embossed some snowflakes onto a piece of dark blue cardstock. For the roof I've glued several strips of red cardstock with a scalloped border on top of each other and decorated it with some snow - using modelling paste for it.

Für den Kamin habe ich braun-roten Cardstock verwendet und mit einer Schablone und Distress Oxide Fired Brick die Mauersteine aufgewischt. Oben quer habe ich mit 3D Pads einen weiteren Streifen aufgeklebt und den mit eine per Hand zugeschnittenen Schneebordüre beklebt.

Rudolph ist wieder mit Copics coloriert. Die Lichterkette, die sich in seinem Geweih verheddert hat, ist von LawnFawn.

Unten quer über das Dach habe ich noch ein Banner mit dem Bald ist Weihnachten Text aus dem Hippo-Weihnachtsstempelset aufgeklebt.

For the chimney I've used some reddish brown cardstock and added a brick pattern with a stencil and Distress Oxide Fired Brick. Across the top I've added another strip of cardstock with the brick pattern, glueing it down with dimensionals. Here I've also added a handcut snow border.

Rudolph is again colored with Copics. The string of lights that got caught between his antlers is by LawnFawn.

Across the roof I've also added a banner with a "christmas will be here soon" saying.

MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar Contest - Innovation Master

Heute habe ich endlich meinen Beitrag für die Kategorie Innovation Master des 2019 Card Design Superstar Contest auf dem MFT-Blog fertiggestellt. Nicht ganz so, wie geplant, denn DHL hat mir einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Aber ich konnte improvisieren. Und so ist diese herbstliche Szene aus dem Wald entstanden.

Today I finally finished my entry for the Innovation Master category of the 2019 Card Design Superstar Contest over at the MFT Blog. It's not completly how I had planned it because German Post decided to not move my parcel and deliver it on monday instead. But I was able to improvise. And so I've made this fall-ish scene from the woods.

Der Hintergrund ist mit Distress Oxides Salty Ocean, Broken China, Tumbled Glass und Bundled Sage gestaltet. Darunter befindet sich noch eine Lage Gras, das ich mit Mowed Lawn und der Gras Schablone von MFT gemacht habe.

For the background I've used Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Bundled Sage. There's also a layer of grass made using Mowed Lawn and the grass stencil by MFT.

Der süße Bär ist aus dem Joyful Heart Bears Set. Ich habe den Eimer voller Herzen, den er eigentlich in der Hand hält, weggeschnitten und durch den Laubrechen ersetzt. Der ist ebenso wie die Blätter und der Korb aus dem Piles of Fun Stempelset. 

Die Bäume sind der Teil, bei dem ich improvisieren musste. Ich hatte mir die Birch Trees Stanzen bestellt, aber die Post hat entschlossen, mein Paket nicht weiter zu transportieren und es statt dessen am Montag zu liefern. Das wäre leider zu spät. Also habe ich einfach ein paar weiße Papierstreifen geschnitten und mit Copics im Baumstammlook coloriert. Die Bäume sind auf den Hintergrund aufgeklebt, davor befindet sich noch eine Lage Gras, die mit einer der Grassy Hills Stanzen gemacht ist.

Der dicke Baumstamm im Vordergrund ist ebenfalls mit der Hand geschnitten.

Warum sich auf den Blättern im Korb Kekse und Kaffee befinden, verrate ich Euch gleich.

The cute bear is from the Joyful Heart Bears stamp set. I've cut off the basket of hearts he's originally carrying and replaced it with the leaf rake. That and the leaves and the basket are from the Piles of Fun stamp set.

The trees are the part I had to improvise. I had ordered the Birch Trees die set by MFT but as mentioned, German Post will deliver my parcel on monday. That will be too late. So I've simply cut some strips of white paper and used my Copics to color them with a tree trunk pattern. The trunks are glued onto the background, then I've added a layer of grass in front of them, made using one of the Grassy Hills dies.

The big trunk in the foreground is also hand cut.

I will tell you soon why there are cookies and coffee on top of the leaves in the basket.

Beim Basteln von Karten - vor allem interaktiven - läuft es bei mir meist so ab: ich habe eine generelle Idee zur Karte und während des Bastelns entsteht dann in meinem Kopf eine Geschichte dazu. Bei dieser Karte lautet sie so:
Der Bär ist schon drei Stunden damit beschäftigt, die von den Bäumen gefallenen Blätter im Wald zusammenzurechen. Die kleine Maus beobachtet ihn seit geraumer Zeit und ist ihm sehr dankbar für seine Arbeit. Denn mir ihren kurzen Beinen ist es für sie sehr beschwerlich, über all die Blätter hinwegzuklettern. Also hat sie beschlossen, ihm eine kleine Überraschung als Dank zu bereiten. Während der Bär mit dem Rücken zu ihr gearbeitet hat, hat sie ihm heimlich einen Teller selbstgebackener Kekse und eine Tasse warmen Kaffee auf die bereits aufgesammelten Blätter gestellt - und sich schnell wieder versteckt. Aber neugierig wie sie ist, will sie seine Reaktion natürlich doch sehen. Und so lugt sie nun kichernd hinter einem dicken Baumstamm hervor und freut sich, weil der Bär sich freut.

When making cards - especially interactive ones - it's mostly like that: I have a general idea about the card in mind and while working on it a story is building in my head. With this card it goes like this:
Since three hours the bear is working on raking all the fallen leaves in the woods. The little mouse is watching him for some time now and she's very grateful for his work. With her short legs it's really hard to crawl over all those leaves on the forest floor. So she's decided to do a RAK and surprise as a thank you. While the bear was working with his back to her, the mouse put a plate filled with homemade cookies and a cup of hot coffee on the leaves he'd already piled up in the basket - and quickly she's hidden. Well, she's a very curious mouse and wants to see his reaction. So she's peeking out from behind the big tree she's hiding behind, giggling - and being happy about the joy showing in the bears face.

Die Maus ist ebenfalls aus dem Piles of Fun Stempelset. Um sie hinter dem Baum hervorlugen zu lassen habe ich die Meet in the Middle Stanzen verwendet - aber nur einen der "Arme" angebracht.
Der Kaffeebecher ist aus dem Friends at first Sip Stempelset - hier hat die Größe einfach perfekt gepasst, die Kekse sind eigentlich für Santa und aus dem Secret Santa Stempelset.

The mouse is also from the Piles of Fun stamp set. To make her peek from behind the tree I've used the Meet in the Middle die set - only attaching one of the "arms".
The coffee cup is from the Friends at first Sip stamp set - it just was perfect in size compared to the cookies. Those originally belong to Santa and are from the Secret Santa stamp set.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 21. September 2019

Heute zeigen wir Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins eine Flip-Flap Card (ich mag ja die englischen Bezeichnungen immer lieber). Und ja, ich habe schon wieder eine Halloweenkarte gewerkelt. ;)

Over at Stempeleinmaleins we are sharing a Flip-Flap Card with you today. And yes, I've made another Halloween card.

Ich habe hier ein Stück weißen Cardstock als Basis verwendet und mit der Brick Wall Stencil von MFT und Distress Oxide Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke und Black Soot ein Mauerwerk aufgewischt. 

I've used a piece of white cardstock as the base and added the wall pattern with the Brick Wall stencil by MFT and Distress Oxide Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.

Für das (erste) Motiv habe ich das Fenster von SU aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und es ebenfalls mit denselben Distress Oxide  ein wenig auf alt getrimmt. 

Hinter das Fenster habe ich zuerst die Vorhänge, gemacht mit der Take the Stage Stanze von MFT und lilafarbenem Designpapier mit Spinnennetzdruck, geklebt, dahinter kam schwarzer Cardstock. In die unteren Felder habe ich dann noch die süße Katze und die Kürbislaterne aus dem Best Witches Stempelset von MFT geklebt. Oh, und oben am Fenster krabbelt eine kleine Spinne - aus dem Fa-BOO-Lous Friends Stempelset, aus dem auch die Spinnennetze sind.

For the (first) image I've die cut the window by SU from white cardstock and used the same Distress Oxides to make it look at bit worn.

Behind the window I've glued the curtains, made using the Take the Stage die by MFT and purple designer's paper with a spiderweb pattern, then put some black cardstock behind it. Into the lower parts of the window I've glued the cute cad and Jack-O-Lantern from the Best Witches stamp set by MFT. Oh, and there's a spider crawling across the top of the window - from the Fa-BOO-Lous Friends stamp set, from which are also the cobwebs.

Unter das Fenster habe ich ein Banner mit einem Trick or Treat? Text aufgestempelt. Der Text ist von SU, ich habe ihn nur auf eine einzelne Zeile abgestempelt. Das Fragezeichen habe ich von einem Stempel von Magnolia abgeschnitten und hinter den Text gestempelt. So weiß man nicht, ob es Süßes oder Sauers gibt, wenn sich das Fenster öffnet.

Das tut es, wenn man am Streifen seitlich zieht.

Under the window I've added a banner with a Trick or Treat? text stamped on. The text ist by SU, I've just put the words in one line. The questionmark is cut off of a stamp by Magnolia and stamped behind the words. Well, now you don't know if there are tricks or treats waiting for you when the card opens. 

That happens when you pull the strip at the side of the card.

Und natürlich gibt es Süßes! Der süße Fuchs aus dem Friendly Foxes Stempelset von MFT hat sich einen Hexenhut aufgesetzt - ausgeliehen bei einer der Hexen aus dem Best Witches Set - und hält bereits einen Lutscher parat. Der ist ebenfalls aus dem Fab-BOO-Lous Friends Set und ich habe ihn hier hineinmaskiert. Ich wollte das zweite Motiv so aussehen lassen, als ob der Fuchs das Fenster geöffnet hätte. Darum habe ich die Vorhänge auch hier aufgeklebt und einen Fensterrahmen um das Motiv herumgesetzt. Das ist natürlich kleiner als das Fenster, das aufklappt. Aber sonst hätte man das zweite Motiv bereits bei geschlossener Klappe gesehen.

Außen ans Fenster habe ich noch einen ausgestanzten Besen gelehnt sowie ein paar weitere Spinnennetze auf die Karte gestempelt.

And of course there are treats! The cute fox from the Friendly Foxes stamp set by MFT put on his witch's hat - borrowed from one of the witches from the Best Witches stamp set - and is already holding a lollipop, ready to give it to you. The lollipop is also from the Fab-BOO-Lous Friends stamp set and I did some masking to make the fox hold it. I wanted the second image to look like the window got opened so I've added the curtains here as well. I've also added a window frame around the scene. Of course this is smaller than the original window - otherwise you'd been able to see it when the flap is closed. 

I've die cut a broom and glued it to the front of the card, making it look like it's leaning against the window frame, and added a few more cobwebs.

MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar Contest - Coloring Virtuoso

Hier ist meine zweite Karte für den Card Design Superstar Contest 2019 auf dem MFT-Blog. Vielleicht sieht man es schon - diese habe ich für die Coloring Virtuoso Kategorie gemacht, in der es natürlich rund ums Thema Coloration geht.

Here's my second card for the Card Design Superstar Contest 2019 over at the MFT Blog. And maybe you can already tell from the look of the card - this one's made for the Coloring Virtuoso category where it's all about coloring.

Die Karte ist generell recht dunkel ausgefallen, aber ich wollte einen "Winterabend-Look" erzielen. Für die Tapete habe ich zuerst meinen weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ganz leicht eingefärbt, dann mit derselben Farbe den Knitted Sweater Background aufgestempelt. Von außen her habe ich dann noch ganz vorsichtig Black Soot aufgetragen, so dass es aussieht, als wäre das Feuer im Kamin die einzige Lichtquelle. Das erzeug einen so schön warmen Look.

Der Boden ist ähnlich gearbeitet. Erst habe ich ihn mit Distress Oxide Walnut Stain leicht eingefärbt und dann die Kante des Kissens einige Male quer direkt über das Papier gezogen - so entsteht das Muster im "Holz". Dann habe ich auch hier von außen her Black Soot aufgetragen.

Unten auf den Boden habe ich noch ein Banner aus hell kraftfarbenem Cardstock aufgeklebt, auf das ich mit weißem Embossingpulver einen Text aus dem Stempelset Sweater Weather on Safari aufembosst habe.

The card is quite dark in generall but I wanted to create a "winter night look". 

For the wallpaper I've used Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke to lightly color my white cardstock, then used the same ink to stamp the Knitted Sweater Background on top. From the edges I carefully worked inwards with Black Soot to make it appear that the fireplace is the only source of light. That makes my scene look warm and cozy. 

The floor is made similar. I've covered the paper with a bit of Distress Oxide Walnut Stain, then used the edge of the ink pad and moved it across the paper several times - that's how I've added the pattern in the "wood". Then I've added Black Soot from the outside in here as well.

To the floor I've also glued a banner cut from light craft colored cardstock on which I've white heat embossed one of the sayings from the Sweater Weather on Safari stamp set.

Und hier ist meine Szene. Tiger und Elefant sind bereit für einen gemütlichen Abend vor dem Kamin!

Für den Kamin habe ich alle Teile der Fireplace Stanze aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Auf den Kamin selbst habe ich Steine gemalt, die Abdeckung oben ist mit Holzmuster versehen. Die beiden Teile des Feuers sind ebenso coloriert wie die Holzscheite und das Gitter im Kamin. Den Hintergrund im Kamin habe ich direkt auf den weißen Cardstock im Hintergrund gemalt, alle Teile des Kamins habe ich dann mit 3D Tape aufeinander gesetzt.

Tiger und Elefant sind ebenfalls aus dem Sweater Weather on Safari Stempelset. Ich habe beide neben-/hintereinander maskiert, dem Elefanten einen Kaffeebecher und dem Tiger einen Stock mit Marshmallow in die Hand gegeben - die sollen schließlich gegrillt werden. Für den Stock habe ich einen Teil eines der Modern Trees abgestempelt, der Marshmallow ist per Hand gemalt. Die Motive sind mit der No-Lines Technik mit Copics und Polychromos für die feinen Details coloriert, z. B. das Strickmuster auf den Pullovern.

Für den Teppich habe ich einen der Oval Shadows ebenfalls aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und coloriert. 

And here's a close up of my scene. Tiger and elephant are ready for a cozy evening in front of the fireplace.

For the fireplace I've die cut all the pieces from the Fireplace die set from white cardstock and then colored them with Copics. I did a stone pattern on the fireplace itself, the top part is colored with  a wooden look. Both pieces of the fire are colored as are the logs and the metallic thing that holds the logs in place. The background inside the fireplace was colored directly onto the white cardstock in the background .Then I've glued all pieces together with dimensionals for some depth.

Tiger and elephant are from the Sweater Weather on Safari stamp set as well. I've done some masking to make the elefant embrace his friend, gave the elephant a cup in his hand and added a stick with a marshmallow to the tiger. To stamp the stick I've simply used just one branches from one of the Modern Trees, the marshmallow is hand drawn. All the images are colored doing the no-line technique using my Copics and Polychromos for some fine details like the knitted pattern on the sweaters.

For the rug I've die cut one of the Oval Shadows from white cardstock and also colored it with Copics.

MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar - CAS

Es ist wieder soweit: der Card Design Superstar Contest auf dem MFT-Blog ist ausgerufen! Und ich kann einfach nicht anders.... Auch dieses Jahr gibt es wieder drei Kategorien. Dies ist meine Karte für die Kategorie "clean and simple".

It's that time of year again: the Card Design Superstar Contest 2019 over at the MFT Blog has started! And I just couldn't resist... Also this year there are three different categories. This one is my take on the "clean and simple genius".

Ich habe ein Stück weißen Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Etwa in die Mitte der Karte habe ich mit der Ray of Lights Schablone und Distress Oxide Scattered Straw ein paar Strahlen aufgewischt. Mit etwas brauner Farbe habe ich dann noch kleine dunkelbraune Spritzer darüber verteilt.

I've matted a piece of white cardstock black and then glued both layers onto a white note card. 

About in the middle I've added some rays using the Ray of Lights stencil and Distress Oxide Scattered Straw. To add the tiny dark brown splatters I've used some dark brown ink and a pencil.

Die tolle Mini Cafè all Day Stanze war Grundlage für den Kaffeebecher. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics ein wenig coloriert. Das selbe habe ich mit der Sahnehaube gemacht. Da ja die - wie ich finde - Unsitte verbreitet ist, Kakaopulver auf Cappuccinos und Co zu stäuben, habe ich das hier auch getan. Allerdings nur, weil es so besser aussieht. Dafür habe ich einen ganz feinen braunen Marker benutzt. 

Den Sleeve habe ich aus kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, ebenfalls mit Copics ein wenig coloriert und ein Label aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich die Kaffeebohnen aus dem Sweater Weather on Safari Stempelset auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und - weil ich von MFT keine Kreisstanzen habe - einfach eine der Kreisstanzen aus dem Meet in the Middle Stanzenset benutzt. Der war von der Größe her perfekt. ;)

Der Strohhalm ist aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt. Mit weißem Embossingpulver und dem Diagonal Stripes Background Stempel habe ich ein Muster auf den Strohhalm gestempelt. Dann habe ich ihn durch einen kleinen Schlitz, den ich in die Sahne geschnitten habe, gesteckt und hinten am Kaffeebecher festgeklebt.

Die Texte aus den Sets LLD Perk Up und Cup of Love sind auf dunkelbraunen Cardstock weiß embosst, zu Bannern geschnitten und unter den Strahlen aufgeklebt. Darüber kam der Kaffeebecher. Und ein paar Enamel Accents haben auch noch Platz gefunden. 

Ich denke, die Karte ist einfach genug.

The great Mini Cafè all Day die was used for the coffee cup. I've die cut it from white cardstock and added some shadows with my Copics. I did the same with the cream on top. And since everyone seems to enjoy cacao on his capuccino and co - something I really don't understand! - I've sprinkled some on my cream as well. But only because it looked good. I've used a very fine brown marker for it.

I've die cut the sleeve from craft colored cardstock, again added some shading and details with my Copics and a label. For the label I've stamped the coffee beans from the Sweater Weather on Safari stamp set onto white cardstock and since I don't have any MFT circle dies I've used one of those from the Meet in the Middle die set. That was perfect in size. ;)

The paper straw was die cut from dark brown cardstock. Then I've used white embossing powder and the Diagonal Stripes Background to add the pattern to it. I've cut a little slit into the cream and then put the paper straw through it, glueing it down at the back.

The sayings from the LLD Perk Up and the Cup of Love stamp sets are white heat embossed onto dark brown cardstock, cut in a banner shape (did it by hand) and glued under the rays. Above them I've glued the cup.

There was also room for some dark brown Enamel Accents.

I think, this card is simple enough.

Hurra, der Herbst ist da!

Der Abschied vom Sommer fällt mir immer sehr schwer - aber sehen wir der Realität ins Auge: der Herbst ist da. Und wenn ich ehrlich bin, ist der ja eigentlich auch ganz schön. Und so habe ich diese fröhliche Herbstkarte gemacht, die ich heute auf dem Kulricke-Blog zeige.

Saying goodbye to summer is always hard for me - but to face reality: fall has arrived. And to be honest, it's a beautiful season as well. And so I've made this happy fall card that I am sharing over at the Kulricke Blog today. 

Ich habe hier aus einem Stück Designpapier von Faltkarten den Blätterkreis ausgestanzt und das Designpapier dann mit orangefarbenem Glitzercardstock hinterlegt. So bekommen die Blätter im Kreis gleich einen schönen herbstlichen Look.

Unten auf das Designpapier habe ich noch einen Text aus dem Stempelset Freunde 3 aufgestempelt.

Here I've used a sheet of very softly printed designer's paper and die cut the wreath from it. Then I've matted it with some orange colored glitter paper - now the leaves have a beautiful fall-ish touch.

To the bottom of this sheet of designer's paper I've stamped a saying meaning "so happy you exist".

An den unteren Teil des Kreises habe ich zwei der Ahornblätter aus dem Stanzenset Baum und Blatt aufgeklebt. Die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge und Barn Door eingefärbt. Darüber kam der Mistelzweig - auch der ist aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert.

Mittelpunkt der Karte ist der süße Felix auf dem Pilz. Die Blätter rund um das Motiv habe ich weggeschnitten, dafür ist dort ja der Blätterkreis.

Unten quer unter die Blätter und das Motiv habe ich noch ein ausgestanztes Herbst aufgeklebt. Das habe ich einmal aus schwarzem Cardstock und einmal aus goldenem Glitzer-Cardstock gestanzt und leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt.

To the bottom of the wreath I've added two maple leaves. Those were cut from white cardstock and colord in using Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge and Barn Door. Then I've added a twig on top. Also those were cut from white cardstock and colored with Copics.
Centerpiece of this card is the cute penguin on the mushroom. There are usually some leaves flying around him. I've cut those off since there's the wreath doing this job here.
Across the leaves, at their bottom, I've added a die cut word meaning "autumn". I've cut it once from black and once from golden glitter cardstock and glued them on top of each other, just a tad bit off.

Rudolph das Rentier

Wenn Ihr letztes Wochenende auf dem Mekka ward, dann kennt Ihr Rudolph bestimmt schon. Der  hatte sich nämlich als Neuheit mit unter die Stempel von Scrapbook Forever gemischt. Und auch bei mir ist er vorbeigekommen.

Last weekend Stempelmekka was held - one of the few stamp fairs in Germany, if not THE one. And this stamp set with Rudolph the Reindeer hid amongst the stamps by Scrapbook Forever as a surprise new release. He also came by my house that weekend.

Natürlich habe ich ihn gleich verarbeitet! Hier habe ich eine halbe Stalltür gewerkelt, über die Rudi neugierig drüber schaut. Für das Holz der Tür habe ich einfach ein Stück craftfarbenen Cardstock mit braunen Stempelkissen eingefärbt. So kann man ganz schnell einen Holzeffekt erzielen. 

An die Tür habe ich ein Namensschild, eine Ilex-Girlande mit goldenen Kugeln sowie eine Schleife gehängt.

Of course I needed to ink him up immediately! Here I've created half of a barn door with Rudi curiously peeking over the edge. For the wood I've simply used brown ink pads to add some texture/pattern to a piece of craft colored cardstock. This is a really fast way to create a wooden pattern.

To the door I've hung a name tag, a garland with some golden baubles and a bow.

Hier könnt Ihr Rudi besser sehen. Er ist mit Copics coloriert, auf die Nase habe ich eine dicke Schicht Glossy Accents aufgetragen.

Im Hintergrund, nur im oberen Teil der Karte, habe ich dunkelbraunen Cardstock aufgeklebt und darauf weiß das Bald ist Weihnachten aus dem Hippo-Weihnachtsset aufembosst.

Here you get a better look at Rudi. He's colored in with Copics, the nose is covered with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.

In the background, just to the upper part of the card, I've glued some dark brown cardstock and white heat embossed a "christmas will be here soon" saying onto it.

Die Karte ist so gearbeitet, dass man die Stalltüre mitsamt Rudi öffnen kann. Hier könnt Ihr auch sehen, wie weit ich den dunkelbraunen Cardstock aufgeklebt habe. So ist im unteren Bereich Platz für eine handgeschriebene Nachricht.

To open the card you open the barn door - including Rudi. Here you can see how the dark brown cardstock is only glued to the top. That leaves room for a handwritten message at the lower part of the card.

Und weil ich diese Karte bereits am Sonntag geteilt habe, sie Euch hier aber nicht vorenthalten möchte, habe ich noch eine weitere Karte mit Rudi für Euch. Diesmal habe ich ein anderes Motiv aus dem Set verwendet:

And since I've already shared this card sunday but want to show it on my blog as well I also have a second card in today's post. This time I've used a different image from the set:

Hier habe ich den sitzenden Rudolph in den Schnee gesetzt. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Sterne klar auf weißen Cardstock embosst, den unteren Teil der Karte sowie den bereits aufgestempelten Tannenbaum abgedeckt und alles mit Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Chipped Saphire und Black Soot gewischt.

Here I've put the sitting Rudolph into the snow.

For the background I've clear heat embossed the stars onto some white cardstock, covered the lower part of the card and the already stamped christmas tree and used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Chipped Saphire and Black Soot to create the night sky.

Rudi scheint es im Schnee zu gefallen. Oder er freut sich so über den Weihnachtsbaum! Der ist aus dem Hippo-Weihnachtsset. Beide Motive sind wieder mit Copics coloriert.

Der Text ist ebenfalls aus dem Rudolph-Set. Ich habe ihn zweigeteilt abgestempelt - im oberen Bereich aufembosst, im unteren mit schwarzer Tinte gestempelt.

Rudi seems to enjoy the snow. Or he's just so happy about the decorated tree. Both images were colored with Copics again.

The saying means "merry christmas and lots of lucky stars for the new year". I've white heat embossed part of the saying to the sky, the other part was stamped with black ink to the lower part of the card front.

Und weil wir alle ja wissen, dass Rudolph mit seiner roten Nase leuchten kann, habe ich hier eine LED eingearbeitet. Drückt man auf den großen Stern neben dem unteren Text, dann strahlt sie leuchtend rot.

And since we all know that Rudolph is able to light up his nose I've included a LED here. When you push the big star next to the saying his nose is lightning in a bright red color.

Piles of Fun

Heute poste ich wieder auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog. Und da sich die Blätter so langsam zu verfärben beginnen und - oh welch Zufall - beim letzten MFT-Release Herbst-Stempel enthalten waren, habe ich die gleich eingeweiht und diese herbstliche Karte gewerkelt.

It's my turn to post over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today. The leaves are starting to change and since there were some autumn related stamps in the latest MFT release - who would have expected that?! - I got inspired to use those for this fall-ish card.

Hier ist meine Herbstkarte. Und ja, sie ist wieder interaktiv. ;) 

Im Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide gewischt. Dabei habe ich, von unten nach oben, folgende Farben verwendet: Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce,  Weathered Wood, Tumbled Glass und Broken China. Darauf kamen ein paar ausgestanzte Birkenstämme, die ich mit Copics ein wenig schattiert habe.

In the background I've used a piece of white paper and added the following Distress Oxide - from bottom to top - to add some color to it: Pumice Stone, Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce, Weathered Wood, Tumbled Glass and Broken China. On top I've glued some die cut birch trees to which I've added some shading with my Copics.

Unten an der Karte befindet sich wieder ein Tab - dahinter versteckt sich mal wieder die Double Slider Loop Slots Stanze verwendet. Die entwickelt sich langsam zu einer meiner absoluten Favoriten! 

Zieht man am Tab, tut sich was im Blätterhaufen...

At the bottom of the card there's a tab - and once again I've used the Double Slider Loop Slots die here. This is becoming one of my all time favorites!

If you pull the tab, something is moving in the pile of leaves...

... und siehe da, der kleine Igel hat sich darin versteckt und springt nun fröhlich daraus heraus. Dabei verteilt er natürlich auch ein paar Blätter. Die kleine Maus hat ihn unter all den Blättern gar nicht gesehen und muss jetzt ganz schön kichern - ist aber sicher froh, dass sie die Blätter bisher nur zusammengerecht hat. Aber sicher hilft der Igel später auch beim Wegräumen.

...and that's what happening: the little hedgehog has hidden in the leaves and is now jumping out of it. And of course he's also throwing some leaves in the air. The little mouse hasn't seen the hedgehog under all those leaves and is giggling really hard now - but I guess she's also glad to only have piled them up yet. I'm sure the hedgehog is going to give her a hand with putting them into the basket later.

Und hier ist das komplette Motiv in Großaufnahme. Alle Motive sind aus dem Piles of Fun Stempelset von MFT. Der Blätterhaufen ist oben entlang der Motive ausgeschnitten, unten bildet er zusammen mit der Wiese den unteren Abschluss der Karte und versteckt gleichzeitig den Slider Mechanismus. Die Blätter auf dem Kopf des Igels sind maskiert. Die einzelnen Blätter musste ich an Folienstreifen befestigen, damit sie sich auch aus dem Blätterhaufen ziehen lassen. Auf diesem Bild sieht man das ganz gut. 

Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert. Der noch zu füllende Blätterkorb, der eher wie ein Fass aussieht, ist schon ein wenig angerostet... 

Das Gras habe ich im oberen Bereich ein wenig mit Copics coloriert und dann von unten Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn aufgewischt. So bekommt man einen schönen Übergang.

And here's a close-up of the complete scene. All images are from the Piles of Fun stamp set by MFT. The pile of leaves is cut out along the top edges, at the bottom it continues into the grass, making the bottom of the card and also hiding the slider mechanism. The leaves on the hedgehog's head were added with some masking. I had to attach the single leaves to some acetate strips to attach them to the slider mechanism. You can see that pretty good at this photo.

All images are colored in with Copics. The still empty basket is already rusting a bit...

The grass was drawn with Copics directly under the leaves, adding some lighter green under it. Then I've used Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn, applying it from the bottom. That gave a nice and smooth blending into the Copic colors.
