Teil 2 des Elfs

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Die Inspiration zu dieser Karte kam von einem Reel auf Instagram, wo Christbaumanhänger gezeigt wurden, die aus einer großen Glitzerschleife mit herabhängenden Nikolausbeinen zeigten. Das gäbe doch auch eine schöne Karte, war mein Gedanke. 

Vor einigen Tagen habe ich Euch ja eine Karte mit einer Elfenmütze gezeigt. Nun, hier seht Ihr jetzt weitere Körperteile des Elfs, denn statt der Nikolaus- habe ich Elfenbeine an die Schleife gehängt.

I got the inspiration for this card from a reel on IG, where they were showing christmas ornaments made from a large glittery bow with Santa legs dangling down from it. I thought, this would make a nice card, too.

A few days ago I shared with you a card with an elf's hat. Well, today I brought his legs on a card because instead of Santa's legs I've hung some elf legs from my bow.

 

 Den Hintergrund für meine Karte wollte ich ein wenig wie Geschenkpapier aussehen lassen. Also habe ich einfach 3/4" breite Streifen aus schwarzem und weißem Cardstock geschnitten und abwechselnd aneinander geklebt. Dann habe ich den Hintergrund etwas kleiner als meinen Kartenrohling zugeschnitten.

 

I wanted the background of this card look like some simple wrapping paper. So I cut 3/4" wide strips from black and white cardstock and glued them together, interchanging the colors. Then I cut the background a bit smaller than my card base.

 

 Die Schleife ist mit dem Big Beautiful Bow Stanzenset von TheGreetery gemacht. Ich habe die Teile aus hellerem und dunklerem roten Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt und sie dann mit Copics ein wenig schattiert. Der hellste Copicton hat dann vom hellroten Glitter-Cardstock die Farbev abgelöst, so dass aus den Schatten eher silbrige Highlights geworden sind. Aber irgendwie passt es trotzdem und mir gefällt die Schleife so immer noch.

Bei den Elfenbeinen habe ich etwas um die Ecke gedacht - denn da habe ich tatsächlich keine Stanzen für. Aber ich habe das Everything but the Broom Set von MFT. Das ist eigentlich für Halloween und enthält gestreifte Hexenbeine samt Stiefeln. Die Beine habe ich ausgestanzt und per Partial Diecutting ein wenig verlängert. Auch bei den Schuhen habe ich Partial Diecutting angewandt, diesmal, um den Absatz der Stiefel nicht mit auszustanzen.  Die Ferse habe ich dann mit der Schere geschnitten und für die Zipfel am oberen Rand den Kragen eines Pullis eines Stanzensets von Action zweckentfremdet.

Ich habe alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

An die Spitzen der Zacken habe ich kleine rote Glitzersteine, auf die Spitzen der Schuhe jeweils einen roten Glitter-Bommel geklebt.

 

The bow is made using the Big Beautiful Bow die set by TheGreetery. I cut the pieces from light and dark red glitter cardstock and shaded them a bit with Copics. The lightes red Copic took the color from the lighter glitter cardstock, so the shadows turned into some kind of silver-ish highlights. But it still looks nice and I like how the bow turned out.

For the elf's legs  I had to think outsid the box because I don't have a die for those. But I have the Everything but the Broom set by MFT. It's a Halloween set with striped witch's legs and her boots. I cut the legs out and made them a bit longer by doing some partial die cutting. I did more partial die cutting with the boots, this time to remove the heel. I then cut the heel with my scissors. For the decoration along the top I used the collar from a sweater die set by Action. 

I cut all pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics.

I glued little red rhinestones to the tips of the decoration and little red glitter pompoms to the tip of each shoe.

 

 Und weil wir alle wissen, wie zappelig kleine Elfen sind, können die Beine da nicht einfach so lasch nach unten hängen!

Ich habe oben aus den Beinen kleine Kreise ausgestanzt und runde Plastikteile auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Löcher in den Beinen habe ich darüber gelegt und dann die Schleife nur auf den beiden Platstikteilen befestigt. So können die Beine frei und elfen-haft hin- und herschwingen. 

 

And because we all know, that little elves are very fidgety, those legs can not just hang down from that bow!

I cut little circles from the top of the legs and glued little plastic circles onto the background. I've tung the legs onto those plastic pieces and then glued the bow to them. Now the legs can move freely and very elf-ishly from left to right. 

 

 Den Text habe ich ganz unten auf der Karte angebracht. Er ist eine Mischung aus gestanzten und gestempelten Worten.

Das Holly Jolly ist mit Stanzen von Alexandra Renke gemacht. Eigentlich gibt es nur das Wort Jolly als Stanze, ich habe es zweimal aus dem heller roten Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt, das J von einem der Worte abgeschnitten und stattdessen ein Ho - Teil des Wortes Home einer anderen Stanze - auf das O geklebt. So wurde aus "jolly" ganz schnell "jolly".

Der Rest des Textes ist aus dem Stempelset Henry's Build a Sentiments Winter Set von LawnFawn und mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

 

I put the text to the bottom of the card - it's a mix of stamped and die cut words.

The Holly Jolly is made using dies by Alexandra Renke. There's only the word Jolly in the set. I cut it twice from the lighter red glitter cardstock, then cut off the J from one of the words. I then replaced it with a Ho - part of the word home from another set -, glueing the Os on top of each other. And voila, jolly was turned into holly.

The rest of the text is made with stamps from Henry's Build a Sentiment Winter by LawnFawn. I stamped those with black ink directly onto the background.

 

 Als Deko habe ich einige goldene Stern-Konfetti auf der Karte verteilt und zudem einen Rahmen mit einem goldenen Gelstift aufgemalt.

Zum Schluss  habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I added some gold star confetti as decoration and also drew a frame with a gold gel pen.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Ein großer Nussknacker

Im September hatte ich Euch ja von unserer "Mission Nussknacker" auf dem Stempelmekka erzählt. Als CreativeDepot dann Ende Oktober einen Cut-and-Emboss-Folder  eben dieses Nussknacker herausbrachte, war "Mission Nussknacker 2.0" geboren. Wobei es diesmal mit einer simplen Bestellung ganz einfach, ihn zu bekommen. Und er darf diese Karte zieren.

Back in september I told you about our "mission nutcracker" at Stempelmekka. When CreativeDepot released a cut-and-emboss folder of exactly that nutcracker, "mission nutcracker 2.0" was born. But with just ordering it online it was very simple to get my hands on him. He's the main focus on this card.

 

Ich wollte einen Hintergrund für meinen Nusssknacker und habe wieder die Capsule Basics von TheGreetery benutzt. Ja, die kommen momentan recht häufig zum Einsatz, was aber daran liegt, dass die komplette Bestellung noch auf meinem Tisch liegt. Ich habe mir ja angewöhnt, Sachen, die ich noch nicht benutzt habe, so lange liegen zu lassen, bis sie zum Einsatz kamen. Und hier ist es eben die komplette TheGreetery Bestellung, weil alles so toll zusasmmem passt. 

Ich habe das kleinere der gewellten Ovale aus dem Set aus blau-grünem Cardstock gestanzt und es dabei per Partial Diecutting etwas verlängert. Der Nussknacker ist so groß, der brauchte mehr Platz, von der Breite her war aber genau dieses Oval perfekt.

Auf das Oval habe ich dann mit dem Rosemal Reflections Stempelset ein Muster aufgestempelt. Der Stempel war natürlich für das verlängerte Oval zu kurz und ist von der Breite her auf ein größeres Oval ausgelegt. Also habe ich jeweils nur ein Viertel gestempelt und dann das Oval gedreht bzw. den Stempel versetzt. In der Mitte überlappen die Motive ein wenig, aber das wird ja vom Nussknacker verdeckt. 

Die Blumen habe ich mit zwei Blau- und einem Grauton gestempelt, da sie Layering Stempel sind. Außerdem habe ich die leicht gebogene Punktelinie jeweils außen an die "Ecken" gestempelt.

 

I wanted a background for my nutcracker and used the Capsule Basics die by TheGreetery again. Yes, I use these quite often lately, but they are still on my desk and so right in reach. I started to let new things lay on my desk until I used them. And here I let out the whole order because the things go together so wonderfully.

I die cut the smaller scalloped oval from blue-green cardstock and made it a bit longer by doing some partial diecutting. The nutcracker is so large that it needed more space and the width of the oval  was just perfect.

I used the Rosemal Reflections stamp set to stamp the pattern onto the oval. The stamp, of course, was too short for the elongated oval and is originally made for a larger oval. So I only stamped a quarter of the pattern, then turned the oval or moved the stamp. The images overlap slightly in the center, but these areas get covered by the nutcracker.

I used two tones of blue and one grey to stamp the flowers, they are layering images. I also stamped the slightly curved dotted line outside the pattern into the "corners".

 

 Den Nussknacker habe ich in/aus weißem Cardstock gegprägt und geschnitten. Dann habe ich ihn mit Copics und Polychromos coloriert. Er sollte ein wenig vintage werden, ist dann aber irgendwie doch kräftiger ausgefallen als geplant. 

Die gold colorierten Elemente habe ich dann mit einem goldenen Gelstift beglittert, die Augen mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. 

Die Schleife und die Ilexblätter, mit denen ich den Nussknacker dekoriert habe, sind aus dem Ornamental Tag Stanzenset von TheGreetery.

 

I cut and embossed the nutcracker from white cardstock, then colored him with Copics and Polychromos. I wanted him to look a bit vintage, but it turned out brighter than I had planned.

I used a gold gel pen to add some glitter to the gold colored elements, the eyes I covered with a black Glaze Pen.

The bow and the holly leaves, that I used to decorate the nutcracker, are from the Ornamental Tag die set by TheGreetery.

 

 Am unteren Ende, hinter die Füße des Nussknackers habe ich noch einige Zweige und zwei weitere Ilex-Blätter geschoben. Auch sie sind aus dem Ornamental Tags Set. 

 

At the bottom of the card I tucked some greenerey and more holly leaves behind the nutcracker's feet. They are again from Ornamental Tags.

 

 Ich habe dünnes 3D Tape verwendet, um den Nussknacker auf den Hintergrund zu kleben, und die Karte mit einigen goldenen Perlen dekoriert. 

 

I used thin foam tape to adhere the nutcracker to the background and decorated the card with a few gold pearls.

 

 Den Nussknacker kann man nach oben aufklappen, im Inneren dieser Klappkarte habe ich meinen Text untergebracht.

Eigentlich schneidet der Cut-and-Emboss-Folder eine seitlich zu öffnende Klappkarte, ich wollte aber unbedingt, dass meine Karte nach oben zu öffnen ist. Also habe ich vom Nussknacker, den ich coloriert habe, den seitlichen Teil abgeschnitten. Den habe ich dann noch zweimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und bei einem der Teile oben einen schmalen Steg mit einer Falzlinie abgetrennt. Nur oberhalb der Falzlinie habe ich dann erst den zweiten Kartenteil und darauf dann den colorierten Nussknacker befestigt. Aus allen Lagen habe ich dann mit einem Cuttermesser die Teile zwischen Arm und Rumpf herausgeschnitten.

Der Text im Inneren ist mit Stempeln aus dem A Little Nuts Stempelset von HeroArts gemacht. Ich habe sie mit blaugrauer Tinte aufgestempelt und zwischen die beiden Textteile zwei weitere Ilexblätter, die ich übrig hatte, sowie drei goldene Perlen geklebt. Außerdem habe ich  mit einem goldenen Gelstift einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

 

 The nutcracker can be folded up, inside this card I stamped my text.

The cut-and-emboss folder originally creates a side folding card, but I wanted a top folding one. So I cut off the solid part off the side of the colored nutcracker and cut just this part two more times from white cardstock. On one of the pieces I added a score line, just a bit under the top edge of the nutcracker. Just above that scoring line I first glued on the other solid nutcracker, than glued the colored one on top. I used a cutting knife to cut out the areas between the chest and arms on all layers of my card.

The text inside the card is made using stamps from A Little Nuts by HeroArts. I stamped them with greyish-blue ink and put two more holly leaves, that I just had left over, and three gold pearls between the sentiments. I also used a gold gel pen to draw a frame on the inside of the card.

 

Tunnelkarte mit Laterne

Der Posttitel sagt es schon - heute habe ich eine weitere Tunnelkarte für Euch. Die ist mal eher edel-elegant - die Stanzen luden einfach dazu ein...

The title of this post already says it - I have another tunnel card to share with you today. This one turned out more elegant - the dies were just perfect for that...

 

Hier kamen wieder Stanzen aus dem letzten Release von ScrappyTails zum Einsatz. Ich möchte zumindest die Weihnachtsstanzen, die ich bestellt habe, noch in diesem Jahr nutzen. Die Winterstanzen zeige ich Euch dann nach Weihnachten. ;)  Und auch wenn es nicht so aussehen mag - hier habe ich tatsächlich nur drei Sets benutzt. 

Basis war hier diesmal das Poinsettia PopUp Tunnel Card Set. Ich habe die Basis mit dem ovalen Fenster drei Mal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf zwei der Lagen den ovalen Rahmen, gestanzt aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock, um das Fenster geklebt. Die dritte Basis habe ich dann mit grauem Schimmer-Cardstock überzogen, den ich an den Rändern mit Distress Ink Black Soot abgedunkelt habe. 

Auf diese hinterste Lage habe ich auch meinen Text gestempelt. Der ist aus dem Elegant Christmas 2 Stempelset von WaffleFlower. Ich habe ihn so gebogen in mein Misti geklebt, dass er zur Rundung des Fensters passt und ihn dann weiß aufembosst. 

 

Again I used dies from the latest release by ScrappyTails for this card. I want to use at least the christmas die sets I ordered before christmas is here. There will still be a lot of winter left to use he winter related sets after christmas... ;) And even if it might not look like it - I only combined three die sets on this card.

 The base was made with the Poinsettia PopUp Tunnel Card set. I cut the base with the oval window three times from black cardstock and glued the oval frame, cut from silver glitter cardstock, around the window on two of those panels. The third base I covered with some grey pearlescent cardstock, the edges I have inked with Distress Ink Black Soot.

Onto this back layer I stamped my text. It's from Elegant Christmas 2 by WaffleFlower. I glued it bent in my Misti so it goes with the shape of the oval, then white heat embossed the sentiment onto the cardstock.

 

Das Haupt-Dekoelement meiner Karte, die Laterne, habe ich auf die mittlere Lage der Karte gesetzt. Darüber habe ich ein Stück eines Ilexzweigs aus dem Set Winter Birds AddOn sowie einen Weihnachtsstern so aufgeklebt, dass sie in den Rahmen hineinragen. 

 

The main decoration on my card, the lantern, I adhered to the middle layer of my card. 

Above it I glued a holly branch from Winter Birds AddOn and a poinsettia onto the layer, making it go into the window.

Die Laterne ist aus dem Set Poinsettia Lantern AddOn. Aus ihm kommen auch die kleinen Weihnachtssternblüten. 

Ich habe die Laterne aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert, dann habe ich sie mit einem silbernen Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert, damit sie wie aus Metall aussieht. Die Basis sowie den oberen Teil habe ich ein weiteres Mal gestanzt und coloriert und mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Auch die Schleife habe ich so gestaltet. 

Den Bügel habe ich aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock gemacht. Und das Glas habe ich aus einer Lage Acetate vor und einer Lage Vellum hinter der Kerze gestaltet. 

Im Set sind zwei verschiedene Kerzenarten - eine normale Kerze sowie ein Teelicht. Ich habe ich für die normale Kerze entschieden. 

Im unteren Bereich habe ich die Laterne dann mit einer weiteren Weihnachtsstern-Blüte sowie einem Tannenzweig dekoriert. 

 

The lantern is from Poinsettia Lantern AddOn. From this set are also the poinsettia blooms.

I cut the lantern from white cardstock and colored it with Copics, then added some silver Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen on top to give it a metallic look. The bae and the top I cut and colored again and glued them on with foam tape. I created the bow the same way.

The handle I cut from silver mirror cardstock. And the glass inside the lantern I made with a layer of acetate in front of and a layer of vellum behind the candle.

There are two different types of candles in the sets - a regular one and a tealight. I went with the regular candle here.

I decorated the lantern base with another poinsettia bloom and a pine branch. 

 

 

 Den unteren Teil der vordersten Lage meiner Karte habe ich mit mehr Weihnachtssternen, Ilex- und Tannenzweigen sowie Kerzen dekoriert. 

Die Weihnachtssterne habe ich alle aus cremefarbenen Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics nur einen leichten hellgelben Schatten auf einigen Stellen aufgemalt. Die Spitzen der Blütenblätter habe ich ganz leicht mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage gewischt. 

Auch die Zweige habe ich aus dem cremefarbenen Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Hinter die Ilexblätter habe ich dann jeweils noch Blätter, die ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt habe, hinterlegt und kleine weiß-irisierende Perlen als Beeren aufgeklebt.

Nach dem Aufkleben aller Elemente habe ich dann überall auf der Karte kleine Holz-Sternchen aufgeklebt. Aueßrdem habe ich auf die Ilexblätter und Weihnachtsstern-Blüten an einigen wenigen Stellen etwas Kleber aufgetragen und etwas Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Ranger aufgestreut.  

 

Onto the bottom of the front layer I adhered more pionsettias, holly and pine branches and candles.

I cut the poinsettias from cream colored  cardstock and just added a hint of a light yellow shadow in a few areas. The tips of the petals I lightly inked with Distress Ink Bundled Sage.

I also cut the branches from cream cardstock and colored them with Copics. I glued some holly leaves, cut from matte silver metallic cardstock, behind the green holly leaves and added some white iridescent pearls as berries.  

After glueing down all the elements I added small wooden stars as decoration in different spots all over the card. I also applied a bit of liquid glue to a few areas of the poinsettias and holly leaves and sprinkled some Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter by Ranger into the wet glue.

 

 Und weil der obere Teil der Karte irgendwie zu leer wirkte, habe ich dort einen Zweig mit Vögelchen angebracht. Der ist aus dem Set Winter Birds AddOn.

Auch dieses Motiv habe ich aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Da die Karte farblich genau so war, wie ich es geplant hatte, wollte ich keine weitere Farbe ins Spiel bringen. Deswegen habe ich auch den Vogel in Grau-, Gelb- und Grüntönen coloriert. Dahinter habe ich ein weiteres kleines Sternchen angeklebt, so dass es so aussieht, als würde der Vogel es im Schnabel halten. 

Auch hier habe ich silberne Blätter und weiße Perlen an die Ilexblätter geklebt. Den Ast habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

 

And becaues the top of the card looked a bit too plain to me I added a branch with a bird here. It's from Winter Birds AddOn.

Again I cut the image from cream colored cardstock and colored it with Copics. And because the card was exactly how I had pictured it colorwise I didn't want to bring in another color and used greys, yellows and greens to color the bird, too. I glued a small wooden star behind the beak so now it looks like the bird is carrying it. 

I also added the silver leaves and white pearls to the holly branch here. Then I glued the branch onto the card front using thin foam tape.

 

 Ganz zum Schluss habe ich dann noch mit einen silbernen Gelstift einen Rahmen auf die Vorderseite der Karte gemalt.

Und weil Laternen nunmal nur eine Aufgabe haben - leuchten - musste ich einfach ein Licht mit in die Karte einbauen. Es gibt im Winter doch nichts schöneres als sanft und warm leuchtendes Kerzenlicht.... 

 

At the end I used a silver gel pen to draw a frame onto the card front.

 And because a lantern has just one job to do - shine - I just couldn't resist and included a little light in this card. There's nothing cozier than a softly and warm shining candle light...

 

Ich bin wirklich happy damit, wie die Karte aussieht. 

Natürlich ist hier keine echte Kerze verbaut. Ich habe vielmehr ein kleines Ballonlicht in einen Streifen Cardstock gerollt und den hinten auf das Unterteil der Laterne geklebt. Man kann das Licht herausziehen und die Karte dann immer noch flach zusammenlegen.  

 

I am really happy with how this card turned out.

Of course there's no real candle lightning up the card. I wrapped a small balloon light into a strip of black cardstock and adhered that to the back of the lantern base. You can pull out the light and then are still able to fold the card flat.

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #210

Coffee, Tea and Treats - das ist das Thema der aktuellen LawnFawnatics Challenge. Und weil ich immer noch tief im Weihnachtsmodus bin - und das Thema da natürlich perfekt passt - habe ich eine weihnachtliche Karte zu dem Thema gemacht.

 

Hello evereyone!

Coffee, Tea and Treats - that's the theme of the current LawnFawnatics Challenge. And because I am deep in a christmas mood - and the theme goes perfect with christmas - I made another christmas card as my entry.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück Designpapier aus dem Spiffier Speckles Paper Pad. Ich habe die Ränder leicht mit Memento Olive Grove, das farblich super passt, abgedunkelt. 

 

I made the background from a piece of patterned paper from the Spiffier Speckles Paper Pad. I darkened the edges with a bit of Memento Olive Grove, that fits the soft green perfectly.

 

 Für den ersten Teil des Themas habe ich einen weihnachtlichen Kaffeebecher gestaltet. 

Dafür habe ich den Kaffeebecher aus dem Build-a-Drink Bubble Tea AddOn aus rotem, den Becherrand, der eigentlich zum Deckel gehört, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Außerdem habe ich einen Teil des Bechers aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und mit der Schere zugeschnitten, so dass ich damit einen Gürtel um den Becher legen konnte. 

Oben in den Becher habe ich die Sahnehaube aus Build-a-Drink Root Beer AddOn, einen Strohhalm aus dem Build-a-Drink Mason Jar AddOn, eine Zuckerstange aus Cute Candy Canes und ein Pfefferminzbonbon aus Peppermint Border gesteckt. 

Die Schleife, die ich an den Becherrand geklebt habe, ist aus dem Set Build a Barrell Apple, zwischen die Lagen habe ich eine Glocke aus Christmas Stocking gesetzt.

Ich habe alle Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Die Glocke und die Schnalle am Gürtel, für die ich dann tatsächlich fremdgegangen bin - sind aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gemacht.

 

For the first part of the theme I created a christmas-sy coffee cup.

I die cut the cup from Build-a-Drink Bubble Tea AddOn aus red, the brim, that originally goes with the lid from the set, from white cardstock. I also cut a part of the cup from black cardstock and cut it with my scissors to create a belt around the cup.

At the top I tucked the cream puff from Build-a-Drink Root Beer AddOn, a paper straw from Build-a-Drink Mason Jar AddOn, a candy cane from Cute Candy Canes and a peppermint from Peppermint Border into the cup.

The bow, that I glued to the brim of the cup, is from Build a Barrell Apple, between the layers I stuck the bell from Christmas Stocking.

I die cut all pieces from colored cardstock and shaded them with Copics. The bell and the buckle on the bell, that's the only piece that is not by LawnFawn, I cut from gold mirror cardstock.

 

 Nun fehlen noch die Treats aus dem Thema - und die kommen hier in Form von weiteren Pfefferminzbonbons und einem süßen Lebkuchenmann. 

Der Lebkuchenmann ist der kleinere aus dem Set Gingerbread Friends. Ich habe ihn aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt, ein wenig mit Distress Ink Gathered Twigs gewischt und mit einem braunen Fineliner ganz kleine Punkte aufgetupft. Die weißen Zuckerguss-Deteails sind aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Augen und die Knöpfe habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich dem Kleinen rote Bäckchen aufgemalt und ein rotes Herz als Deko aufgeklebt.

Rund um Kaffeebecher und Lebkuchenmann habe ich weitere Pfefferminzbonbons aufgeklebt und auf der rechten Seite noch einen Ilexzweig hinter den Becher geschoben. Der ist wieder aus dem Set Cute Candy Canes.

Meinen Text habe ich ganz unten auf der Karte angebracht. Das Wort sweet habe ich einmal aus dem etwas dunkler grünen Papier mit goldenen Spritzern aus dem Spiffier Speckles Paper Pad und einmal aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und dafür die Scripty Sweet Stanze benutzt. Beide habe ich leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. 

Der Rest des Textes stammt aus dem Stempelset Cheery Christmas und ist weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst.

 

Now the treats from the theme were missing - and I added those in form of some more peppermints and a cute gingerbread man.

The gingerbread man is the smaller one from Gingerbread Friends. I cut him from light brown cardstock, shaded it with a bit of Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and used a brown fineliner to add a lot of tiny dots to him. The white icing details I cut from white cardstock, the eyes and buttons I drew on with a black Glaze Pen. I also colored his cheeks a soft pink and added a red heart as decoration.

Around the cup and the gingerbread man I added some more peppermints and on the right side I tucked some holly leaves behind the cup. These are again from Cute Candy Canes.

The text I adhered to the very bottom of the card. I die cut the word sweet once from the slightly darker paper with gold speckles from the Spiffier Speckles paper pad and from dark green cardstock using the Scripty Sweet die. I stacked them slightly offset.

The rest of the text is from Cheery Christmas. I white heat embossed it onto dark green cardstock.

 

 Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann zuerst einen der Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Windows, den ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt habe, aufgeklebt. Die sind ja auf das amerikanische Kartenformat ausgelegt, ich habe meine Karte aber im deutschen Format gebastelt. Deswegen ist der Rahmen nicht gleich weit von den Kanten des Hintergrunds entfernt, was mich aber nicht stört. 

In den Rahmen habe ich dann meine Motive gesetzt, die natürlich an einigen Stellen über den Rahmen hinausgehen. Einige der Teile habe ich dabei mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt. 

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar mehr rote Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

First I glued one of the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Windows, that I cut from white cardstock, onto the background. These dies are designed to work with the american card format, I cut my background to fit a german card base. That's why the distance to the edges isn't identical on all sides, but I don't mind that.

I arranged my images inside the frame, letting them go outside the frame in a few spots. I put thin foam tape behind some of the elements.

As decoration I added a few more red hearts and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute gibt es - zur Abwechslung - mal eine Weihnachtskarte von mir... ;) Ich habe noch so viele Ideen und Weihnachten ist doch schon so bald. Die Karte heute steht ganz im Zeichen des Elfs - farblich und auch sonst.

 

Hello everyone!

For a change I have a christmas card to share with you today... ;) I have so many more ideas and christmas will be here so soon. Today's card is pretty elf-ish - colorwise and also the image and text.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück Designpaper aus dem Spiffier Speckles Paper Pad von LawnnFawn. Es ist elf-grün mit goldenen Sprenkeln, ich habe es von außen mit grüner Tinte ein wenig abgedunkelt.

Darauf kam dann, quasi als Rahmen für meinen Text, der Ribbon Frame von TheGreetery. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die Enden der Schleife oben rechts mit der Schere weggeschnitten. Ich habe den Rahmen mit Copics in Grautönen schattiert und auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

The background is made from a piece of patterned paper from the Spiffier Speckles paper pad by LawnFawn. It's an elf-ish green with gold speckles. I darkened it from the outside in with a bit of green ink.  

On top, as a frame for my text, I adhered the Ribbon Frame by TheGreetery. I cut it from white cardstock and cut off the ends of the bow in the top right. I used grey Copic markers to shade the frame, then glued it onto the background.

 

 

 Auf dieser Karte sind Text und Motiv quasi eins - man könnte es auch einen dekorierten Text nennnen. 

Das große Merry ist mit der Chunky Merry Stanze von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Ich habe die Schattenlage aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Versafine Clair Shady Lane und dem Bold Diagonal Stripes Background von MFT Streifen aufgestempelt. Da das E ja ein wenig gekippt ist, habe ich das nochmal ausgestanzt und die Streifen dort passend aufgestempelt.

Die Buchstaben/Outlines habe ich dreimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und gestackt auf die Schattenlage geklebt. Das extra gestanzte E habe ich dann eingesetzt und das E mit Glossy Accents aufgefüllt, so dass es sich noch etwas mehr von den anderen Buchstaben unterscheidet. Ich finde es super, dass es das E ist, das im Text gedreht ist - E steht schließlich für Elf, richtig?

Für die Highlights auf den Buchstaben habe ich einen goldenen Gelstift benutzt. 

Aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock habe ich das Wort Christmas aus dem Christmas Season Set von Altenew gestanzt. Ich habe drei weitere Lagen aus weißem Cardstock dahinter gesetzt und den I-Punkt durch ein kleines goldenes Sternchen ersetzt. 

Um den Text zu komplettieren habe ich ein "have yoursELF a" aus dem Holiday Helpers Stempelset von LawnFawn mit weißem Embossingpulver direkt auf den Hintergrund embosst. 

 

On this card, text and image are one - you could also call it a decorated text.

The large merry is made with the Chunky Merry die by SimonSaysStamp. I cut the shadow layer from white cardstock and stamped the stripes on using the Bold Diagonal Stripes Background by MFT and Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Since the E is slightly slanted I die cut it again and stamped the stripes matching the orientation of the E onto it.

The letters/outlines I cut three times from black cadrstock and glued them stacked onto the shadow layer. I put in the extra E and filled it with Glossy Accents, to make it look even more different than the other letters. I love, that it is the E that's slanted, because E stands for elf, right?

For the highlights on the letters I used a gold gel pen.

From gold mirror cardstock I die cut the word christmas from Christmas Season by Altenew. I put three white layers behind the word and replaced the dot on the I with a gold star confetti.

To complete the text I white heat embossed a "have yoursELF a" from Holiday Helpers by LawnFawn directly onto the background.

 

 Auf der linken Seite habe ich dem Text einen Elfenhut aufgesetzt. Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Krempe des Huts habe ich dann erst mit Punkten aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock dekoriert und mit 3D Tape auf den Hut geklebt. Außerdem habe ich mit weißem Twine ein kleines goldenes Glöckchen an die Hutspitze gebunden und ein paar Ilexblätter mit goldenen Perlen/Beeren angeklebt.

 

On the left side I put an elf hat onto the text. I cut the pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. The brim of the hat I decorated with some dots cut from gold mirror cardstock, then adhered it with to the hat with foam tape. I also used white twine to tie a small gold bell to the tip of the hat and glued some holly leaves with gold berries/pearls to the brim.

 

 Ich habe den Text mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und alles mit weitere goldenen Sternchen verziert. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used foam tape to adhere the text to the background and added more gold star confetti as decoration. As the last step I glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Weihnachtskarte mit Schleife

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich weiß nicht, woher das kommt, aber es gibt so gewisse Zeiten, in denen ich mich auf einmal für ein bestimmtes Motiv begeistere. Neben Häusern, wie ich Euch ja bereits erzählt habe, sind das momentan Schleifen. In allen Größen und Formen. Nun, als CreativeDepot Ende Oktober den Gestreifte Schleife Embossingfolder herausgebracht hat, ist der irgendwie in meinem Warenkorb gelandet.... ;) Und auf dieser Karte habe ich ihn das erste Mal benutzt.

I have no idea why, but there are phases, where, all of a sudden, I am all into special images. Besides houses, I already told you that a little ago, I am all into bows lately - in all sizes and shapes. When CreativeDepot released their Gestreifte Schleife - striped bow - embossing folder back end of october it magically ended up in my basket... ;) And on this card I used it for the first time.

 

Eine Karte, die wie ein großes Geschenk aussieht, hatte ich ja erst gemacht. Trotzdem sollte die Schleife hier im Mittelpunkt stehen. Also habe ich einfach einen Sternhintergrund mit silberner Folie auf schwarzen Cardstock foliert. Der bildet einen tollen, nicht langweiligen aber auch nicht zu aufdringlichen Hintergrund für meine Schleife. 

 

I just made a card that looked like a large present. But I wanted the bow to be the main focus. So I simply hotfoiled a star background with silver foil onto black cardstock. It makes a great and festive background for the bow, that's not too plain but also not taking too much attention from the bow. 

 

 Die Schleife habe ich zweimal in weißen Cardstock geprägt und mit Copics sowie Polychromos in rot und weiß coloriert. Aus einer der Schleifen habe ich dann die Schleife sowie die beiden optisch oben liegenden Teile der Enden herausgeschnitten, die andere Schleife habe ich komplett ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich die Teile mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt. So bekommt die Schleife gleich noch mehr Tiefe. 

 Auch von CreativeDepot sind die Ilexblätter, nämlich aus dem Stempelset Weihnachtsbaum. Ich habe sie mit Jellyfish Ink von LawnFawn abgestempelt und ebenfalls mit Copics und Polychromos im NoLine Look coloriert. So passen sie optisch zur Schleife. Ich habe sie ausgeschnitten und hinter die Schleife geschoben.

Zusätzlich habe ich noch einige Zweige aus dem Ornamental Tag Stanzenset von TheGreetery aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Polychromos schattiert und ebenfalls hinter die Schleife geschoben.

 

I embossed the bow two times into white cardstock and colored them red and white with Copics and Polychromos. I used my scissors to cut out one complete bow, from the second I just cut out the bow and the raised areas of the ribbons. Then I glued them together with foam tape. This way the bow looks even more dimensional.

The holly leaves are also by CreativeDepot, from their Weihnachtbaum stamp set. I stamped them with Jellyfish ink by LawnFawn and used Copics and Polychromos again to color it in a NoLine look. This way it goes perfectly with the bow. I cut the leaves out and tucked them behind the bow.

I also die cut some more greenery from light green cardstock using dies from the Ornamental Tag die set by TheGreetery, then shaded them with Polychromos and put them behind the bow, too.

 

 Die Schleife habe ich zusätzlich mit zwei Glöckchen dekoriert. Sie sind mit der Glockenschnur-Stanze von MyPaperProject gemach. Die Schnur aus schwarzem Cardstock, die Glocken aus silbernem Spiegel-Cardstock. Da ich die Schnur etwas gekürzt und nur zwei der eigentlich vier Glocken benutzt habe, habe ich von den übrigen beiden das quer verlaufende Teil ausgeschnitten und auf die Glocken aufgeklebt. 

Der Text auf der Karte ist wieder von TheGreetery, aus deren Rosemal Reflections Sentiments Set. Ich habe ihn silber auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und weiß gemattet. Außerdem habe ich das Banner zwischen den Worten zerteilt.  Die beiden Enden habe ich dann hinter eines der Glöckchen geschoben und quer über den Schleifenenden aufgeklebt.

 

In addition to the greenery I added two bells to the bow. They are made with the Glockenschnur die by MyPaperProject. I cut the string from black cardstock, the bells from silver mirror cardstock. Since I shortened the image and only used two of the original four bells I cut out the center line of the two remaining bells and adhered them to the ones I put onto my card. 

The text is again from TheGreetery from their Rosemal Reflections Sentiments set. I silver heat embossed it onto black cardstock, cut it out and matted it white. I cut the banner apart between the two words, then tucked the ends under one of the bells and adhered the banners across the ribbons of the bow.

 

 Hier sieht man, wie toll dreidimensional die Schleife durch das Layern mit 3D Tape wirkt. Außerdem habe ich die Enden der Schleife und der Bänder ein wenig nach oben gebogen. 

Hinter den Glöckchen und dem Textbanner befindet sich ebenfalls 3D Tape.

Als Deko habe ich ein paar weiße Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und einen Rahmen mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Here you can see, how dimensional the bow looks due to the layering with foam tape. I also bent the tips of the bow and ribbons up a bit.

I put more foam tape also behind the bells and the text bannner.

As decoration I added a few white pearls and drew a frame with a white gel pen. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Joyeux Noel

Diese Karte ist mein Beitrag für die SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im Dezember. Das Thema lautet Dazzlig Die Cuts und das passt, schließlich ist bei SimonSaysStamp Diecember, der Monat, in dem sich alles um Stanzen dreht.

 

Hello everyone!

Today's card is my entry for the SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge in december. The theme is "dazzling die cuts" and that's a perfect fit because SimonSaysStamp is celebrating Diecember, the month that's all about die cutting.

 

Ich habe hier die Poinsettia Cover Stanze von SimonSaysStamp als Basis benutzt und sie aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Ausstanzungen habe ich dann mit goldenem Glitter-Cardstock hinterlegt, die Beeren - oder Punkte - habe ich aus champagnerfarbenem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt, eingesetzt und dann mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

 

I used the Poinsettia Cover die by SimonSaysStamp as the base and cut it from black cardstock. I put gold glitter cardstock behind the cut out areas, the berries - or dots - I cut from champagne glitter cardstock, paper pieced them in and then covered them with Glossy Accents.

 

 Die Blütenblätter der Weihnachtssterne habe ich dann nochmal aus cremefarbenem, die Blätter aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und alles mit Copics schattiert.

Anschließend habe ich die Blütenblätter in den Perfect Poinsettia Embossingfolder von Altenew gelegt und so das Muster eingeprägt. Ich konnte für jedes Blütenblatt eine Stelle finden, an der sie komplett geprägt wurde. 

Die Spitzen der Blütenblätter und Blätter habe ich mit dem Finger ein wenig nach oben gebogen und sie dann auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Dabei habe ich die Blütenblätter etwas nach innen versetzt, so dass mehr vom goldenen Glitter-Cardstock dahinter sichtbar ist. Bei den grünen Blättern habe ich einen schmalen Rand außenrum mit der Schere weggeschnitten, um den selben Effekt zu erzielen.

Mit einem goldenen Gelstift habe ich einige winzige Punkte innen auf die Blütenblätter aufgetragen. Außerdem habe ich jeweils einige goldene Perlen rund um die Blütenmitten aufgeklebt. Die Highlights habe ich mit einem weißen Polychromo gemacht und dabei auch die eingeprägten Rillen in den Blütenblättern nochmal hervorgehoben.

 

I die cut the petals of the poinsettias again from cream, the leaves from green cardstock and shaded everything with Copics.

Then I put the petals into the Perfect Poinsettia embossing folder by Altenew and dry embossed the pattern into the petals. I was able to find a spot for each petal to get a completely embossed petal.

I bend the tips of the petals and leaves up with my fingers, then glued them onto the background. I moved the petals a bit inwards to make more of the gold glitter cardstock behind the cut outs visible. To get the same look with the leaves I cut a slim strip off around the edges.

I used a gold gel pen to draw some tiny dots to the inside of each petal. I also glued some gold pearls around the flower centers. To do the highlights I used a white Polychromo, also tracing the debossed areas on the petals.

 

 Der schräge freie Platz in der Mitte des Stanzteils lädt geradezu dazu ein, hier einen Text aufzubringen. Vom Design her hätte mir ein gerader Text fast besser gefallen, den konnte ich aber schlecht auf die aufstehenden Blütenblätter kleben. Also habe ich das Joyeux Noel, das mit der gleichnamigen Stanze von SimonSaysStamp gemacht ist, ebenfalls schräg aufgeklebt.

Ich habe die Worte je einmal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und leicht versetzt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Auf die Schleifen des J und des L habe ich dann jeweils ein kleines weißes Herz geklebt. Und um zumindest ein waagerechtes Element auf der Karte zu haben, habe ich aus goldenem Metallic Thread eine mehrlagige Schleife gebunden und sie über dem Joyeux aufgeklebt.

 

The empty area in the center of the die cut is screaming for the text to be glued onto it. Designwise I would have preferred a horizontal text, but with the bend up petals there was no space to glue it down. So I adhered the Joyeux Noel, made with another die by SimonSaysStamp, slanted as well.

I  die cut the words once from white cardstock and once from matte gold metallic cardstock and glued them down a bit offset. 

I added a small white clay heart to the loops of the J and the L. And to have at least one horziontal element on my card I tied a bow from gold metallic thread and glued it down above the Joyeux.

 

Mit dem goldenen Gelstift habe ich dann noch einen Rahmen auf den schwarzen Cardstock gemalt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used the gold gel pen again to draw a frame onto the black cardstock, then adhered it to a white note card.
