Stampcorner Juli-Release Sneak

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Diesmal ist irgendwie der Wurm drin - die Stempel kamen etwas verspätet, wir hatten die Handwerker im Haus und dann hatte ich Anfang der Woche noch eine Zahn-OP. Und so habe ich nur ein Sneak auf das Juli-Release von Stampcorner geschafft. Dafür findet Ihr hier gleich zwei der neuen Produkte.

This month didn't go as planned - the stamps arrived a bit delayed, we had workers in the house for several days and beginning of the week I had to get a dental surgery. And so I only managed to make one sneak card for the july release by Stampcorner. But I am sharing two of the new products on this one card.

Ja, es wird wieder maritim (aber nicht nur)! Ich habe hier für den Hintergrund den Wavy Coloring Book Background von MFT mit Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock gestempelt und anschließend etwas hellgoldene Metallic Watercolor darüber gespritzt. 

Yes, it's getting maritim again (but not only that)! For the background I stamped the Wavy Coloring Book Background by MFT with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass onto a piece of white cardstock, then spattered some gold metallic watercolor on top.

Die süße Maus mit dem Papierboot ist eines der neuen Motive. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich sie an den Strand gestellt. Den habe ich mit dem Beach Sunset Stencilset von LawnFawn und Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean und für den Sand etwas Gathered Twigs gemacht. Die Vögel sind mit Black Soot aufgewischt, für die Reflektion auf dem Meer habe ich das Yeti Ink von LawnFawn benutzt. 

Am Himmel sind auch noch zwei weiße Wölkchen, gemacht mit einer Stanze von MFT, unterwegs.

Die komplette Szene habe ich dann mit einem der Briefmarken-Rechtecke, die es ebenfalls ab 1. Juli geben wird, hinterlegt. Den habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestsanzt - und man kann es hier nicht so toll erkennen, aber neben dem Briefmarkenrand stanzt die Stanze auch noch einen tollen gestitchten Rand innerhalb der Briefmarke. Den Aufleger habe ich so zugeschnitten, dass dieser Rand noch sichtbar bleibt. 

The cute mouse with his paper boat is one of the new images. I colored him with Copics and cut him out. Then I sent him to the beach. I created that with the Beach Sunset stencil set by LawnFawn and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean and for the sand a bit of Gathered Twigs. I added the birds with Black Soot and used the Yeti ink by LawnFawn for the reflections on the water.

In the sky there are two white clouds, made with a die by MFT, floating around. 

I put the complete scene onto a rectangle with a postage stamp edge, made using a new die set, that will be available july 1st as well. I cut it from black cardstock - and the great thing about it (that you can't see that clearly here) is, that besides the postage stamp edge it also cuts a stitched rectangle into the cardstock. I cut my scene so this stitched edge is still visible.

Natürlich durfte auch ein Text nicht fehlen. Den findet Ihr ebenfalls in dem neuen Stempelset. Ich habe ihn auf eines der Banner, das ich aus craft farbenem Cardstock gestanzt habe, gestempelt. Dabei habe ich den Text ein klein wenig gebogen, so dass er sich der Form des Banners anpasst. 

Hinter das braune Banner habe ich ein weiteres aus schwarzem Cardstock geklebt und dann beide mit dünnem 3D Tape auf der Karte befestigt. Hinter die linke Ecke habe ich noch zwei Muscheln, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock und ganz leicht mit Squeezed Lemonade gewischt, geschoben.

Of course my card needed a text. This one means "sound of the sea" and is also part of this new stamp set. I stamped it with black ink onto a banner cut from kraft cardstock. I bent the text a bit so it follows the shape of the edge.

Behind the brown banner I put another one, cut from black cardstock, and then attached both to the card with thin foam tape. Behind the left corner I tucked two little sea shells, cut from white cardstock and lightly inked with Squeezed Lemonade.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich alle Teile auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt und als kleinen Akzent die Reflektionen auf dem Wasser noch mit Stickles hervorgehoben.

To finish the card I adhered everything to a white note card and then added some Stickles to the reflections on the water to highlight them a bit.

Für meinen heutigen Post auf dem Stampcorner Blog habe ich mal ein Stempelset von MFT benutzt. Das fiel mir zufällig in die Hände und ich dachte mir, das könnte auch mal wieder Tinte vertragen.

For today's post over on the Stampcorner Blog I used a stamp set by MFT. I found this in my boxes when looking for a different set and decided, it could use some ink again.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Salty Ocean und einer Wolkenstencil mit vielen fluffigen Wolkenreihen versehen. Dann habe ich noch blaue Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Nachdem alles getrocknet war, habe ich daraus die Hintergrundstanze von Stampcorner gestanzt.

For the background I inked some rows of fluffy white clouds onto a piece of white cardsock using Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and a cloud stencil. Then I flicked some blue metallic watercolor on top. After everything had dried, I cut the background die by Stampcorner from it.

Den inneren Teil des Hintergrunds habe ich dann direkt auf ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks geklebt, den äußeren Teil mit 3D Tape.

Innen in das Loch habe ich dann den kleinen Hasen in seinem Flugzeug aufgeklebt. Er ist aus dem Stempelset High-Flying Adventure von MFT und mit Copics coloriert, ebenso die Wolken aus dem selben Set. Die Wolken habe ich dann rund um den Ausschnitt verteilt aufgeklebt und dabei für einige wieder 3D Tape verwendet.

I adhered the inner piece of the background directly to a piece of black cardstock, to attach the outer part I used foam tape.

Into the cut out I put the little bunny in his plane. It's from the High-Flying Adventure stamp set by MFT and colored with Copics, as are the little clouds from the same stamp set. Then I glued the small clouds around the cut out, using foam tape for some of them. 

Vielleicht habt Ihr es schon wegen des Tabs an der rechten Seite der Karte erkannt - es ist eine interaktive Karte. Zieht man am Tab, fliegt der Hase aus dem Loch heraus quer über die Karte. 

Für den Mechanismus habe ich einen etwa 0,5 cm breiten Schlitz in den schwarzen Cardstock geschnitten und zwei U-förmige Cardstockstücke hindurchgeschoben. Daran habe ich dann das Flugzeug festgeklebt. Um sicherzustellen, dass es auch aus dem Loch herausfliegt - und nicht hinter dem äußeren Teil des Hintergrunds verschwindet, habe ich etwas dickeres 3D Tape unter dem Flugzeug auf den Hintergrund geklebt, durch das es beim Herausziehen leicht nach oben gedrückt wird. 

Maybe you could already tell from the tab on the right side of the card - this is an interactive card. When you pull the tab, the bunny is flying out of the cut out and across the card.

For the mechanism I cut a slit into the black cardstock and put two u-shaped strips of cardstock through it. To these I attached the plane. To make sure, that it really flys out of the window - and doesn't slide behind the outer part of the background - I put a small piece of thicker foam tape behind the plane, that now pushes it up a bit when the tab is pulled.

Und hinten am Flugzeug befindet sich dann noch ein Fähnchen mit einem Gruß. 

Das Fähnchen ist aus dem Stempelset Plane and Simple von LawnFawn. Ich habe es mit Copics hellblau coloriert und darauf das Hallo aus dem Stempelset Kleine Worte von Stampcorner gestempelt. Dann habe ich es ausgeschnitten und hinten an das Flugzeug geklebt.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch zwei kleine rote Herzen oberhalb des Flugzeugs auf den Wolkenhimmel geklebt.

At the rear of the plane there's a little banner with a greeting.

The banner is from the Plane and Simple stamp set by LawnFawn. I colored it a light blue with my Copics and then stamped a hello onto it, before attaching it to the rear of the plane.

To finish the card, I glued two small red hearts above the plane onto the cloudy sky.

Create a Smile Juni Sketch Challenge!

Heute startet die Juni-Sketch Challenge von Create a Smile. Und sofort als ich den Sketch sah, hatte ich eine Slimline Card im Kopf. Ehrlich gesagt habe ich erst später gemerkt, dass die Karte im Sketch gar kein Slimline Format hat. Der lange, schmale Streife quer über die Karte hat mich wohl in die Irre geleitet. Aber jeder Sketch kann für eine Slimline Card passend abgewandelt werden, oder?

Today the june sketch challenge by Create a Smile is starting. And as soon as I saw the sketch I had a slimline card in mind. Actually I only realized later, that the sketch isn't drawn in a slimline size. Guess the long, thin strip across the card messed with my brain. But can't any sketch be changed to fit on a slimline card?

Für meinen Hintergrund habe ich die Wimpelkette-Stencil verwendet und die Wimple mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers und Lumberjack Plaid auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock gewischt, das ich zuvor mit der kleineren der Double Stiched DinLang Stanzen ausgestanzt habe. Der Stencil ist ja nur 15 cm breit, mein Cardstock aber 20 cm. Ich habe einfach die entsprechende Reihe nach dem Aufwischen einer Farbe am Ende angesetzt und so verlängert. Damit auch unten rechts auf dem Cardstock Wimpel zu sehen sind, habe ich hier den Stencil einfach nach unten gedreht. Das geht super und man bemerkt gar nicht, dass die Wimpelkette nicht so geplant war. Aber in meinem Fall sind die Nahtstellen sowieso vom Aufleger mit dem Motiv verdeckt. 

Mit einem schwarzen Fineliner habe ich die Wimpel jeder Kette oben verbunden. Dann habe ich noch blaue Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

For my background I used the Party Banner stencil and Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Lumberjack Plaid to stencil the party banners onto a piece of white cardstock, that I had die cut with the smaller of the Double Stitched DinLang dies. Since the stencil is only 15 cm wide, but my cardstock is 20 cm, I simply put the beginning of each banner to its end and added more banners to fill the whole background. I also turned the stencil about 90° degrees when stenciling the bottom row to have some banners in the bottom right area of my cardstock. It really is easy to enlarge the banners invisbly - but in my case the seams are also hidden under the cardstock with the image.

I used a black fineliner to connect the banners, then also flicked some blue metallic watercolor onto the background.

Die Langen Freunde sind natürlich perfekt für eine Slimline Card - und auch auf meinen kleineren Aufleger passen sie super. 

Ich habe hier das Krokodil verwendet und ihm zwei Luftballons ins Maul gegeben sowie einen weiteren an seiner Schwanzspitze angebunden. Die Luftballons sind aus dem Set Verrücktes Huhn. Außerdem trägt das Krokodil noch ein kleines Geschenk aus dem Set Tierisch Vielseitig auf dem Kopf. Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert. 

Nach dem Colorieren habe ich das HB2U mit Stanzen aus den Sets Cherry Uppercase und Cherry Numbers über dem Krokodil ausgestanzt.

Hinter die ausgestanzten Buchstaben habe ich Folie geklebt und den Cardstock schwarz gemattet. Aus der Mattung habe ich mittig ein Rechteck geschnitten, so dass die man durch die Buchstaben hindurchschauen kann. Dann habe ich 3D Tape auf die Rückseite des Cardstockstücks gegeben. Dabei habe ich einen Rahmen rund um die Buchstaben gebildet, um diesen Teil der Karte in einen Shaker zu verwandeln. 

Of course the Lange Freunde images are perfect for a slimline card.

Here I used the crocodile and put two balloons in his mouth and also tied a third one to the tip of his tail. The balloons are from the Crazy Chicks stamp set. I also stamped the small gift from the Tierisch Vielseitig stamp set onto the corocdile's head, then colored all images with Copics.

After I had colored the images I die cut the HB2U from the cardstock, right above the crocodile, using dies from the sets Cherry Uppercase and Cherry Numbers.

Behind the cut out letters I adhered a piece of acetate and matted the cardstock black. From the mat I have cut a rectangle so the letters are still see through. Then I put foam tape to the back of the cardstock, creating a closed frame around the letters  to turn this part of the card into a shaker. 

 

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück grünes Designpapier mit weißen Punkten an die Stelle geklebt, über der sich später die Buchstaben befinden. Dann habe ich kleine grüne und helltürkisfarbene Kügelchenin den Shaker gefüllt und beide Cardstockstücke aufeinander geklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch einen kleine Text am unteren Rand des Shaker-Panels angebracht. Der Text ist die obere Zeile eines Stempels aus dem Set Ein ziemlicher Knaller und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

I attached a piece of green patterned paper with small white dots to the background with the banners, placing it so that it can be seen through the cut out letters. I filled the shaker with green and light aqua micro beads and glued the two cardstock pieces together. 

Then I added a little subtext to the bottom edge of the shaker panel. It is white heat embossed onto black cardstock and means "I'm so happy, you were born" (a line from a german kids' birthday song).

Um die Karte fertig zu stellen, habe ich alles ebenfalls schwarz gemattet und dann auf eine weiße Slimline Card geklebt.

To finish the card, I matted the cardstock black and attached everything to a white slimline card base.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 24. Juni 2023

Es ist der letzte Samstag im Monat - und somit gibt es heute beim Stempeleinmaleins einen neuen Sketch. Und das ist meine Karte danach.

It's the last saturday of the month - and that means, there's a new sketch over at Stempeleinmaleins. This is the card I made with it.

 

 Da ich mir mit so extrem "eckigen" Sketchen immer etwas schwer tue - und schräg geht bei mir in den seltensten Fällen, und das gilt für alle Bereiche, also z. B. auch Wohnungseinrichtung - habe ich den Hintergrund eher dezent gehalten.

Mit dem Dotty Circles Embossingfolder von Altenew habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock embosst, rundum etwa 1 cm kleiner als die Kartenfront zugeschnitten und dann schräg geteilt. Anschließend habe ich beide Teile mit hellrosa farbenem Cardstock gemattet und auf den weißen Kartenrohlilng aufgeklebt.

Since I always have a hard time with many angular elements - and slanted doesn't work in most cases, that counts for all areas of my live, also things like furniture - I kept my background kind of simple. 

I used the Dotty Circles embossing folder by Altenew to dry emboss the pattern into a piece of white cardstock, cut about 1 cm smaller on each side than my card front, then cut from one corner to the opposite one. I matted both pieces with some light pink cardstock and attached them to a white card base.

Als Deko habe ich eine Hand, die eine Rose hält gewählt. So fing eigentlich auch die Idee zu der ganzen Karte an. Von den Händen, gemacht mit dem Crafty Hands Stanzenset von MFT, hatte ich nämlich für eine andere Karte einige ausgestanzt, sie aber dann doch nicht verwendet. Genauso wie die Rose aus einem der Trauersets von CraftEmotions, habe ich die Hand zuerst mit Copics coloriert und dann einpaar Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt. 

Die Rose habe ich dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und so einige Teile wie die Blüte und auch das nach unten zeigende Blatt in 3D Technik aufgeklebt.

Als Hintergrund für das Motiv habe ich Vellum gewählt, da es einerseits schön dezent ist, andererseits aber den embossten Hintergrund hinter dem Motiv etwas abschwächt.

Der kleine just wanted to say Text ist aus dem Stempelset Reveal Wheel Sentiments von LawnFawn und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

As the image on this card I used a hand holding a rose. That's actually how the whole idea for this card started. I had a few of the hands, die cut with the Crafty Hands die set by MFT, on my table. I had cut them for another card but then ended up not using them. Just like the rose, cut with a die from one of the sympathy sets by CraftEmotions, I colored the hand first with Copics and then added some details with Polychromos.

I cut the rose three times from white cardstock and then did a 3D technique for some of the parts like the flower and one of the leaves.

As the backdrop for the image I used a piece of vellum. It's very subtle and at the same time tones down the pattern of the dry embossing a bit.

The small just wanted to say hi text is from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments set by LawnFawn and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

Für den Haupttext habe ich die Thanks Stanze von MFT verwendet und sie einmal aus schwarzem und dreimal aus dem pinkfarbenen Cardstock, den ich auch für die Mattung der Dreiecke verwendet habe, gestanzt. Die oberste pinke Lage habe ich dann mit einem dunkleren Pinkton von unten her gewischt, so dass das Wort besser zur Rose passt.

Darunter befindet sich ein weiterer kleiner Text - diesmal aus dem Scripty Bubble Sentiments von LawnFawn. Eigentlich ist der leicht wellenförmig, da er aber so klein ist, kann man ihn problemlos gerade gebogen ins Misti kleben. Auch dieser Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstosck embosst.

For the main text I used the Thanks die by MFT and cut it once from black and three times from the same pink cardstock, that I also used to mat the triangles. I inked the bottom of the top pink layer with a darker pink ink to make it match the rose better.

Under the thanks I added another small text - this time from the Scripty Bubble Sentiments by LawnFawn. This originally has a slight wavy shape, but since it's so small, it's very easy to bend it straight when putting it in the Misti. Again I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

Ich habe alle Teile auf den embossten Hintergrund geklebt und dann um das Thanks drei schwarze Enamel Dots gesetzt.

I attached all elements to the dry embossed background and than added three black Enamel Dots next to the word thanks.

Urlaubsgrüße aus den Tropen

Thematisch bleibe ich mit meiner Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, im Sommer. Diesmal schickt der Hippo Urlaubsgrüße aus den Tropen.

I stick to the summer theme, I've been making cards for a lot lately, also with the card, that I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today. Today this little hippo is sending greetings from a tropical island.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Tropical Floral Background von WhimsyStamps verwendet. Den habe ich mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce und Broken China auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Ich habe mit den helleren Farben angefangen, jeweils einen Bereich des Stempels eingefärbt und abgestempelt. Dann habe ich das selbe mit den dunkleren Farben, diesmal kleinere Bereiche, wiederholt. Da die Farben immer ein wenig überlappen, ergibt sich automatisch ein gewisser Farbverlauf. 

Dann habe ich noch pinkfarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

For the background I used the Tropical Floral Background by WhimsyStamps. I stamped it with Distress Ink Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce and Broken China onto a piece of white cardstock. I started with the lighter colors, inked an area of the stamp and stamped it onto the cardstock. Then I did the same with the darker colors, this time inking up smaller areas. Since the colors overlap a bit, you automatically end up with some kind of blended stamping.

Then I flicked some pink metallic watercolor onto the cardstock.

Das Motiv auf der Karte ist der süße Hula-Hippo aus der Feder von OmaPlott. Ich habe hier allerdings den Hula Hoop Reifendurch ein Blätterröckchen ersetzt. 

Dafür habe ich einige Bläter aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Auch den Hippo habe ich damit coloriert und dabei oberhalb der Bauchlinie einen grünen Streifen als Rock-Bund hinzugefügt. Den Reifen habe ich dann einfach weggeschnitten und die Blätter an den grünen Streifen geklebt.

Hinter das Ohr habe ich dem Hippo noch eine Hibiskusblüte geschoben. Die ist aus dem Stanzenset Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On von LawnFawn, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder mit Copics eingefärbt. Auf alle Motive habe ich Highlights und Details mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

The image on this card is the cute Hula-Hippo, drawn by Oma Plott. I just replaced the Hula Hoop with a skirt made from leaves.

I die cut a few small leaves from white cadstock and colored them with Copics. I also used those to color the hippo and added a green strip above the hippo's belly as the top of the skirt. I simply cut off the Hula Hoop and instead glued the leaves to the green strip.

Behind his ear the hippo is wearing a hibiscus flower. I die cut that from white cardstock using a die from the Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On die set by LawnFawn and again colored it with Copics. With a white gel pen I drew some highlights and details onto all the images.

Der Text ist wieder mal eine Kombi aus gestanztem Wort und gestempeltem Text.

Die kleineren Texte sind aus den Stempelsets Kleine Worte und Kleine Worte 2 und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

Das gestanzte Auszeit ist mit der Auszeit-Stanze von Stampcorner gemacht - ich habe es viermal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile aufeinander geklebt.

The text is once again a mix of a die cut word and a stamped text.

The smaller texts mean "hip hip hooray" and "a wonderful vacation to all of you". I white heat embossed them onto strips of black cardstock.

The die cut words means "time out". I die cut it three times from black cardstock and stacked the pieces.

Den Hippo und die Textstreifen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, das gestanzte Wort direkt darauf. Dann habe ich noch ein paar pinke Enamel Dots als Deko hinzugefügt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohing geklebt.

To attach the hippo and the text strips I used some thin foam tape, the die cut word is adhered directly to the background. Then I added a few pink Enamel Dots as embellishments. To finish the card, I matted the background black and adhered it to a white note card.

Create a Smile Juni Moodboard Challenge Reminder

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich weiß nicht, wie es Euch geht - oft kommen mir Ideen für Karten einfach so "im Schlaf" (und manchmal ist das sogar wörtlich zu nehmen". Und an anderen Tagen brauche ich eine Inspiration. Deswegen mache ich so gerne Challenge Reminder Karten. Denn oft kommt mir, nachdem ich meine DT Karte gemacht habe, eine weitere Idee. So war es auch mit dieser Karte, die nach dem Moodboard der aktuellen Create a Smile Challenge entstanden ist.

I don't know if that counts for you as well - but often I suddenly have the idea for a card in my head (sometimes they even come while I'm sleeping). And on other days I need some kind of inspiration. That's why I love to make challenge reminder card. Often I get another idea after I have finished my DT card. That's how it went with this card as well, that I made after the moodboard of the current Create a Smile Challenge.

Hier habe ich ein Stück türkisfarbenen Cardstock für meinen Hintergrund verwendet und mit Distress Oxide Broken China und Uncharted Mariner sowie dem Ferns Stencil die großen Blätter oben auf den Cardstock gewischt. Anschließend habe ich rund um die Karte am Rand noch ein wenig Uncharted Mariner aufgewischt, um die harten Linien ein wenig abzuschwächen.

Oben links habe ich dann noch einige gestanzte Blätter, gemacht mit Stanzen aus dem Window Pocket Set und grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. Zuvor habe ich sie mit Polychromos etwas schattiert. 

Am unteren Rand der Karte habe etwas Sand aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich einen Streifen craft farbenen Cardstocks an der oberen Kante gerissen und dann ein wenig Distress Oxide Walnut Stain aufgewischt. Nach dem Aufkleben des Sands habe ich noch über den kompletten Cardstock etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Here I used a piece of aqua cardstock for my background and stenciled some leaves to the top of it using the Fern stencil and Distress Oxide Broken China and Uncharted Mariner. Then I added  hint of Uncharted Mariner to all four edges of the cardstock just to soften the harsh lines a bit.

Onto the top left corner I attached a few die cut leaves. I cut those using dies from the Window Pocket die set and green cardstock and shaded them a bit with Polychromos.

To the bottom edge of the cardstock I added some sand. I ripped the top of a strip of kraft colored cardstock and spritzed just a bit Distress Oxide Walnut Stain on it. After I had adhered it to the background I spritzed some white acrylic paint all over the cardstock. 

Das Moodboard ist so toll sommerlich, dass allein das Anschauen der Bilder mich in eine fröhliche Stimmung versetzt hat. Also kam mir die Idee, mittig auf der Karte einen "good vibes only" Text in fröhlichem Gelb aufzukleben.

Ich habe die Buchstaben mit dem Cherry Uppercase Stanzenset aus gelbem und weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Die gelbe untere Lage - die inneren Buchstaben habe  ich hier nicht herausgenommen, so dass die weißen dann später etwas erhöht waren - habe ich mit Copics etwas schattiert, dann habe ich die weißen inneren Buchstaben obenauf geklebt. Die Os im Text habe ich durch gestanzte Zitronenscheiben ersetzt. Die sind aus dem Lemon Numbers Stanzenset. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics sowie Polchromos coloriert. 

Die kleinen blau-weißen Blüten sind mit einer Stanze aus dem Cherry Lowercase Set gemacht.

The moodboard is put together from lots of summer-ish pictures and just looking at it put me in a happy mood. So I got the idea of placing a "good vibes only" text in a happy yellow in the center of my card. I die cut the letters with dies from the Cherry Uppercase die set - once from white and once from yellow cardstock. I used my Copics to shade the yellow letters - I left in the thinner inner letters on this layer so the white ones are a bit raised on the finished card. I also replaced the Os in the text with die cut slices of lemons. I die cut those from white cardstock using a die from the Lemon Numbers die set and shaded them with Copics and Polychromos.

The small white and blue flowers are made using a die from the Cherry Lowercase die set.

Nun war ja schon meine erste Karte nach dem Moodboard ohne ein niedliches Motiv ausgefallen - und dabei gibt es so viele süße Tiere von Create a Smile. Also habe ich mich durch meine Stempelsets "gearbeitet" und mich dann für den süßen Frosch aus dem Set Springen entschieden. Der passt nicht nur thematisch, das Grün fasst auch das Grün der Blätter am oberen Rand der Karte nochmal auf. 

Ich habe ihn mit Polychromos in No-Line Coloring Technik coloriert und ausgeschnitten. 

Unten in den Sand habe ich noch drei Muscheln aus dem Set Saumäßig gesteckt. Auch sie sind mit Polychromos und No-Line Coloring coloriert. 

The first card I made after the moodboard already didn't have a cute image - and Create a Smile has so many of them! So I went through my stamp sets and decided to add one of the cute frogs from the set Springen to this card. It not only goes perfectly with the theme, it also picks up the green of the leaves on the top edge of the card again. 

I used my Polychromos to color him no-line and cut him out.

Into the sand I also put three sea shells from the set Pig Out - also colored no-line with Polychromos.

Die meisten Elemente auf der Karte sind direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Für zwei der Zitronenscheiben sowie den Frosch habe ich aber dünnes 3D Tape zum Aufkleben verwendet. Außerdem habe ich auf die weißen Buchstaben des Textes jeweils eine dünne Linie klare Stickles aufgetragen - man kann es hier ein wenig erkennen. 

Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock nur noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Most elements on this card are glued directly onto the background, but for two of the lemon slices and the frog I used thin foam tape to adhered them.

I also put a thin line of clear Stickles onto the white letters of the text - you can see that here just a bit. To finish the card I just attached the cardstock to a white card base.

Juni-Challenge bei Stampcorner

Heute startet eine neue Stampcorner Challenge. Passend zum Sommer, der Urlaubszeit und dem warmen Wetter haben wir uns für das Thema "Meer/Wasser" entschieden. Ich mache ja gerne maritime Karten, aber nachdem ich davon in letzter Zeit doch so einige gemacht habe, brauchte ich mal eine Auszeit, und habe meine Szene kurzerhand ins Schwimmbad verlegt.

Today starts the new Stampcorner Challenge. Matching summer, vacation time and the warm weather we went with "ocean/water" with our theme. I love to make maritime cards, but since I made quite a few during those last weeks, I needed a break, and just changed to a pool scene for this card.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks verwendet und quer zwei Linien aufgemalt - die stellten meinen Wasserbereich dar. Den habe ich mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina leicht gewischt, dann die Stencil 31 von Stampcorner aufgelegt und mit Peacock Feathers leicht gewischt. So entsteht etwas Struktur auf dem Wasser.

Darunter und darüber habe ich dann frei Hand den Pool-Rand mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt und mit Copics coloriert. Außerdem habe ich mit einem Stempel aus dem aus dem Stempelset On Solid Ground von MFT zwei Fliesen-Reihen vor den Pool gestempelt und ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich oben und unten jeweils einen schmalen Streifen Gras mit Mowed Lawn sowie oben den Himmel mit Salty Ocean aufgewischt. 

Quer über den Pool habe ich dann noch zwei schwarze Linien gemalt und abwechselnd rote und weiße Kreise auf die Linie geklebt. So ist das Schwimmbecken in einzelne Bahnen unterteilt.

For the background I used a piece of white cardstock and drew two lines across it - the area between them is my water area. I inked it lightly with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, then put the Stencil 31 by Stampcorner on top and added a bit of Peacock Feathers through the stencil to add some structure to the water. 

Under and above the water I drew the edges of he pool with a black finerline and colored it with Copics. I also stamped two rows of tiles using a stamp from the On Solid Ground set by MFT under the pool and again used Copics to color it. Then I used Mowed Lawn to ink a small strip of grass to both sides of the pool and filled the rest of the top of the cardstock with Salty Ocean to create a sky.

To finish the pool I drew two black lines onto the water and glued small red and white circles onto the line. Now the pool looks like it has those seperates swimming lanes.

Als Motiv habe ich die geniale Möwe aus dem Set Sommer? gewählt. Die hatte sich anhand der Stellenbeschreibung als Bademeister als den coolen Kerl, braungebrannt und von jungen Mädchen umschwärmt am Pool stehend gesehen - und wurde ganz schnell von der Realität eingeholt. Nun muss sie sich mit den üblichen Problemen dieser Berufsgruppe rumschlagen. Regel Nr. 1: Springen vom Beckenrand verboten! So steht es auch auf dem Schild hinter der Möwe. Das ist aus dem Set Open Me von LawnFawn, den Text habe ich per Hand darauf geschrieben.

Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Oben über der Möwe habe ich eine Sprechblase, gemacht mit einer Stanze von MamaElephant, aufgeklebt, in die ich ein Echt Jetzt?! aus dem gleichnamigen Stempelset gestempelt habe.

As  my main image I've chosen this great seagull from the Sommer? stamp set. The poor guy read the job listing as a lifeguard and saw himself as the cool guy, standing bronzed and surrounded by beautiful girls next to the pool. But reality hit hard pretty quick and now he has to deal with all the usual problems, lifeguards have to face daily. Rule #1: don't jump into the water from the edge of the pool! That's also what's written on the sign behind him. The sign is from the Open Me stamp set by LawnFawn, I wrote the text on it by hand.

All images on this card are colored with Copics and cut out by hand.

Above the seagull I put a little speech bubble, die cut with a die by MamaElephant, that I had stamped a "Really?!" onto.

Und hier sieht man, auf was die Möwe so genervt reagiert: da ist doch jemand vom Beckenrand gesprungen! Klar hörbar durch ein lautes Platsch. Das  habe ich mit aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzten Buchstaben in eine gezackte Blase aus weißem Cardstock aufgeklebt und außerdem noch drei dicke Wassertropfen dazugeklebt.

And here you can see, what makes the lifeguard look that annoyed: someone dared to jump from the edge of the pool! Clearly audible with a loud SPLASH. I wrote that with individual letters, that I had cut from black cardstock, onto a white bubble and also added three thick drops of water here.

Als ich den Tropical Floral Background von WhimsyStamps gesehen habe, war ich sofort verliebt. Und auf dieser Karte darf er so richtig zur Geltung kommen.

When I saw the Tropical Foral Background by WhimsyStamps I immediately fell in love. And on this card it really is the star of the show.

Ich habe den Stempel schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Für die Blätter habe ich drei verschiedene Grünkombos verwendet, die Hibiskus sind pink, die anderen Blüten hellgelb und die Zwischenräume türkisblau coloriert. Einige Details und Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

I stamped the image with black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I used three different green combos for the leaves, the hibiscus flowers I did a bright pink, the other flowers a soft yellow and the areas between the flowers and leaves I filled in with a turquoise blue. To add some details and highlights I used a white gel pen.

Ja, ich gebe zu, den Hintergrund so zu colorieren, hat einige Zeit gedauert. Deswegen wollte ich auch nicht allzu viel davon verdecken - und auch der Text und das Motiv sollten nicht zu sehr davon ablenken. Deswegen habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock viermal das Aloha von LawnFawn gestanzt und aufeinander geklebt. Dann habe ich per Hand eine Shadow Layer aus Vellum geschnitten und dahinter gesetzt.

Da ich bei dem Hintergrund irgendwie sofort einen tropischen Cocktail im Kopf hatte, habe ich einen mit Stempeln aus dem Set Auf Uns von Create a Smile gemixt - äh zusammengesetzt. Den habe ich bewusst nicht coloriert und nur mit Stickles am Rand des Glases einige Linien gezogen, so dass es etwas glitzert. Dann habe ich es ebenfalls ausgeschnitten und hinter den Text geklebt.

Der kleinere Text darunter ist aus dem Spirited Sentiments Set von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

Yes, I admit that coloring this image took quite some time. That's also why I didn't want to cover too much of it - and also the text and image shouldn't take too much attention away from it. So I die cut the Aloha by LawnFawn four times from black cardstock and stacked the cut words. Then I cut a shadow layer from vellum by hand and put it behind the actual word.

Since I immediately had a tropical cocktain in mind when I saw the image, I mixed - äh created - one using the Auf Uns stamp set by Create a Smile. I decided to keep it black and white and only added a few lines of Stickles along the edges of the glass so it has a bit of glitter. Then I cut it out as well and put it behind the die cut word.

The smaller subtext is from the Spirited Sentiments stamp set by MFT and white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock.

Den gestanzten Text samt Schatten und den Cocktail habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, den Textstreifen darunter mit dickerem 3D Tape. Außerdem habe ich einige ganz zart türkisfarbene Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt und alles - ohne die bei mir fast übliche schwarze Mattung - auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I used thin foam tape to attach the die cut word with the shadow and the cocktail glass to the background, for the tex strip I used some thicker foam tape. Then I added a few very soft aqua colored Enamel Dots and attached everything to a white note card, skipping the black mat I usually do as well.

Geburtstagskarte für meine Mom

Während unseres Urlaubs in Italien, haben wir nicht nur den Geburtstag meiner Nichte gefeiert, sondern vor allem den meiner Mutter. Das ist inzwischen Tradition geworden - das sie Ende Mai Geburtstag hat, verbringen wir den, soweit irgend möglich, alle zusammen in Italien am Strand. So auch dieses Jahr. Und das ist die Karte, die ich für sie gemacht habe.

During our vacation in Italy, we did not only celebrate my niece's birthday, but also my mom's. It has become a tradition for us - her birthday is end of may and whenever possible, we celebrate her all together at the beach in Italy. It also happened this year. And this is the card I made for her.

Hier habe ich das Delicate Garden Kit von Altenew verwendet und eine Slimine Card gemacht. Ich habe die Blumen aufgestempelt und -gewischt - dazu gleich mehr - und dann den Bereich rund um die Blumen in türkis eingefärbt. Dann habe ich mit einem weißen Stempelkissen und einem feinen Blending Brush sowie einer Strahlenstanze von PinkFresh unregelmäßige weiße Strahlen, ausgehend von der Mitte des Cardstocks, aufgewischt. Die Blumen habe ich dabei mit Masking Tape abgedeckt, so dass die Strahlen hinter den Motive vorbeilzuaufen scheinen.

Here I used the Delicate Garden Kit by Altenew and created a slimline card. I stamped and inked the flowers onto the cardstock - more about that a little later in the post - and then filled the area around the flowers with turquoise ink. Then I used white pigment ink, a fine blending brush and a ray stencil by PinkFresh to ink some rays onto the background, radiating from the center of my cardstock. I had covered the flowers with masking tape when adding the rays, so they seem to go behind the flowers. 

In dem Stempelset sind drei verschiedene Blumen/Pflanzen enthalten. Ich habe hier zwei Stück kombiniert und die dritte auf die andere Seite des Cardstocks gestempelt. Zum "Colorieren" habe ich die dazugehörigen Layering Stencils verwendet. Die Pfingstrose habe ich in pfirsich und rot eingefärbt, die kleineren Blüten in blau, dazu kommt natürlich grün für die Blätter. Hier habe ich mich quer durch alle möglichen Ink Pad Hersteller gearbeitet - Distress Ink, SU, MFT, alle sind hier vertreten. 

Nach dem Einfärben der Motive und des Hintergrunds, habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe auf den Cardstock gespritzt.

There are three different flowers/plants included in the stamp set. I combined two here and stamped the third one onto the other end of the cardstock. To "color" the images in, I used the matching layering stencils. I went with peach and red for the peonie, blue for the smaller flowers and of course green for the leaves. I used ink pads by different brands here - Distress Ink, SU and MFT, they all came to use here. 

After I had colored the images and background, I flicked some white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

Für den Haupttext habe ich eine Happy Birthday Stanze verwendet, die auch eine passende Schatten-Lage hat. Diese Schattenlage habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt, die Buchstaben dreimal aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock. Ich habe sie aufeinander und dann auf das Vellum geklebt. Die I-Punkte habe ich durch zwei weiße Herzen ersetzt.

Für den kleineren Text darunter habe ich Stempel aus dem Set Kleine Worte von Stampcorner benutzt. Er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und - ebenso wie der große Text - mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

For the main text I used a happy birthday die, that also cuts a shadow layer. I cut the shadow layer from vellum, the letters three times from white shimmer cardstock. I stacked the letters and then adhered them to the vellum. Instead of the dots on the i I used two small hearts.

The subtext - all the best from the bottom of my heart - I white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut it out and then attached it to the background with foam tape and did the same with the large text.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko fünf weiß-irisierende Perlen um den Text verteilt und alls auf einen weißen Slimline-Kartenrohling geklebt.

To finish the card, I put five white iridescent pearls around the text and then put everything onto a white slimline sized card base.

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog diese Karte mit eingebautem Flat Shaker und natürlich einem der süßen Motive aus dem Juni-Release.

Over on the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing this card with a flat shaker and of course one of the cute images from the june release today.

Hier habe ich nicht nur ein Motiv aus dem Juni-Release verwendet, sondern auch die gestitchten Rechteck-Stanzen. Damit habe ich den schwarzen Cardstock für den Hintergrund ausgestanzt.

I did not only use one of the images from the june release but also the stitched rectangle dies. I used one of these to die cut the black cardstock in the background.

Auch den Cardstock für den Himmel habe ich mit einer dieser Stanzen gestanzt. Diesmal aus weißem Cardstock, den ich dann mit Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion sowie einem bisschen Black Soot eingefärbt habe. Anschließend habe ich einige Wassertropfen sowie etwas verdünntes Copic Opaque White aufgespritzt.

Der Mond ist ebenfalls aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Ich habe dafür die Over the Moon Stanze von MFT benutzt und ihn mit Copics coloriert. 

Damit habe ich auch den süßen Elefanten coloriert. Da ich etwas Dimension auf der Karte wollte, habe ich ihn zweimal gestempelt - einmal habe ich den Elefanten verwendet, einmal das Meer, das ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner in beide Richtungen verlängert habe, so dass es quer über den eingefärbten Cardstock passt. Diesen Teil des Motives habe ich mit Distress Oxide Stormy Sky und Faded Jeans gewischt und ebenfalls mit Wasser und verdünnter Copic Opaque White bespritzt. Um die eigentlich dunklen Punkte auf dem Boot weiß zu malen, habe ich einen weißen Gelstift benutzt.

I used another die from the same die set to die cut the cardstock for the sky. This time I cut it from white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and a bit of Black Soot. Then I flicked some Water and a bit of Copic Opaque White, mixed with a bit of water, onto the cardstock.

The moon is also cut from white cardstock. I used the Over the Moon die by MFT and colored it with Copics.

And I also used my Copics to color the cute elefant. Since I wanted some dimension on my card, I stamped the image twice - I used the elefant from one of the stamped images and the ocean of the second. I used a black fineliner to add some more waves so the cardstock fits all across my night sky. I used Distress Oxide Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans to ink the ocean, then again spritzed some water and white Copic Opaque White on top. To turn the dots of the black stamped image white, I used a white gel pen.

Nur aus dem Cardstockstück, auf das ich den Nachthimmel gewischt habe, habe ich dann einen Flat Shaker gemacht. Der ist mit kleinen, kupferfarbenen Sternchen gefüllt.

Den Mond habe ich dann direkt auf den Shaker geklebt, das Boot samt Elefant mit dünnem und anschließend das Meer mit dickem 3D Tape obenauf. 

Der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Sei Mutig. Ich habe ihn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und wieder mit 3D Tape auf das Meer geklebt. Als Deko habe ich dort auch noch zwei weitere Sterne angebracht.

I turned only the piece of cardstock, that I inked my sky onto, into a flat shaker, that I filled with little star shaped sequins in a copper-ish color.

I attached the moon directly to the shaker, then used thin foam tape to add the elefant in the boat and thick foam tape to add the ocean on top.

The text means "never stop dreaming". I white heat embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock and attached that across the ocean, using foam tape again.

Hier sieht man, wie schön die Sterne am Nachthimmel funkeln.

Zum Schluss habe ich den Shaker auf den schwarzen Cardstock und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Here you can see the nice shine of all those stars in the night sky.

To finish the card, I adhered the shaker to the black piece of cardstock and then put everything on top of a white note card.
