Eine Tasche Winterzauber

Kleine Verpackungen kann man immer gut gebrauchen, nicht nur zu Feier- oder Festtagen. Und eine solche Verpackung im winterlichen Look zeige ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog.

Little gift bags and boxes are always handy, not just for holidays or other celebrations. Today over on the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing such a gift bag in a wintery look. 

Damit die Tasche an sich schon mal einen winterlichen Look hat, habe ich die Teile mit der Taschen-Stanze aus einem der Bögen aus dem 12" Paper Pack 1 ausgestanzt. Das hellblaue Papier mit den weißen Schneeflocken ist wunderbar dezent und frostig. 

Den oberen Teil mit dem Henkel habe ich noch vier weitere Male aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, nur die Henkel abgeshnitten und jeweils von vorne und hinten auf die Henkel der Tasche geklebt. Das macht sie nicht nur stabiler, sondern setzt sie auch farblich ab. 

To give the bag itself a wintery look I die cut the gift bag using the Tasche die from one of the sheets of the 12" Paper Pack 1. The light blue paper with the white snowflakes is wonderful soft and frosty.

I die cut the top of the bag four more times from white cardstock, cut off the handles and attached them to the handles of the bag. That does not only make them stronger, it also adds a nice touch with their different color.

Für die Deko habe ich die Schneeflocke S von Farbton aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Die kann man ja mittig halbieren, so dass sie flacher sind. Gleichzeitig hat  man so mit nur einmal kleben gleich zwei Schneeflocken. Um sie in der Größe unterschiedlich zu machen, und weil mir zwei Schneeflocken zu groß für die Tasche waren, habe ich von einer einfach die äußeren Strahlen mit der Schere weggeschnitten und so eine kleinere Schneeflocke erhalten. Beide Schneeflocken habe ich in der Mitte mit etwas Wasser und Distress Ink Spray Prize Ribbon besprüht, nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann in die Mitter der Schneeflocken eine matt-silberne Pailette sowie eine weiße Perle aufgeklebt. An der Rückseite habe ich jeweils ein Stück weißes Twine angeklebt und die Enden, um die Henkel gewickelt, zu einer Schleife gebunden. Zusätzlich habe ich die Schneeflocken auf der Tasche angeklebt, damit sie schön gerade hängen.

Für den Text habe ich die neue Winterzauber-Stanze aus dem November-Release verwendet. So ist der Text auch schön neutral, so dass die Tasche auch für ein spontanes Geschenk verwendet werden kann. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und von unten mit Prize Ribbon gewischt. Dann habe ich zwei weitere weiße Stanzteile als Verstärkung dahinter geklebt und für den  I-Punkt einen kleinen Glitzerstein aufgeklebt.

To decorate the bag I used the Schneeflocke S die by Farbton to create the snowflakes from white cardstock. By cutting them apart, you can not only make the snowflake more flat, you also end up with two in just one step. To get two different sized snowflakes, and also because two of the large ones were too much for the bag, I cut off the outer tips of one of the snowflakes using my scissors. I sprayed a bit of water and some Distress Ink Spray Prize Ribbon onto the center of each snowflake, after they had dried I placed a matte silver sequin and a white pearl in the center. I glued a piece of white twine to the back of each snowflake, wrapped the other end around the handle and tied it to a bow. And to make sure the snowflakes are hanging down straight I also glued them to the bag.

For the text I die cut the word "magic of winter" from white cardstock - it's a wonderfully neutral text and so it can be used for any occasion. I die cut it from white cardstock and inked the bottom with Prize Ribbon. Then I backed it with two more die cut words, attached it to the bag and added a little clear rhinestone as the tittle.

In die Tasche habe ich dann nach dem Befüllen oben dunkelblaue Papiershredder gefüllt, die ich aus der Tasche habe herausschauen lassen. 

Da ich den rechten Schlitz für das Band zum Verschließen der Tasche mit einer der Schneeflocken überdeckt habe - und eine weitere Schleife hier doof ausgesehen hätte - habe ich mir einen anderen Verschluss überlegt. Dafür habe ich einen Kreis aus dem selben Designpapier gestanzt und zwei parallele Falzlinien über ihn gezogen. Das eine Ende habe ich hinten an die Tasche geklebt, an den vorderen Teil und innen in die Tasche habe ich einen Magneten geklebt, der die Lasche und Tasche geschlossen hält.

After I had filled the bag I filled the top with some dark blue shredded paper that I let hang out of the top of the bag.

Since I had covered the right slid for the ribbon to tie the bag closed with one of the snowflakes - and also because another bow would have looked strange here - I came up with a different way to close the bag. I die cut a circle from the same patterned paper I had used for the bag and scored two parallel lines into it. One end I glued to the back of the bag, behind the other end and inside the bag I glued small magnets, that hold the flap and the bag closed.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch einige matt-silberne Pailetten vorne auf die Tasche geklebt.

To finish the bag I adhered some matte silver sequins to the front as decoration.

Merry Christmas in grün, weiß und silber

Heute habe ich mal eine etwas andere Weihnachtskarte. Ich habe diese Merry Christmas Textstanze von Tim Holtz/Sizzix schon seit Jahren, und für jede Karte war er zu groß. Also habe ich diesmal einfach eine Karte rund um den Text gestaltet.

Today I have a bit of different kind of christmas card for you. I have this Merry Christmas text die by Tim Holtz/Sizzix since years, but it was too large for every card I tried it on. So this time I simply created the card around the text.

Meine Karte besteht aus zwei Teilen. Zuerst habe ich den großen Tannenbaum von Magnolia aus einem weißen Stück Cardstock gestanzt, allerdings so, dass die linke Kante nicht mit gestanzt wird. Dort habe ich dann eine Falzlinie gezogen und den überstehenden weißen Cardstock für die Rückseite meiner Karte verwendet.

Dann habe ich aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock ein Rechteck zurechtgeschnitten, das genauso groß ist, wie die Rückseite meiner Karte. Diesen Cardstock habe ich dann mit dem Christmas Stars 3D Embossing Folder von NellieSnellen geprägt und anschließend vorsichtig ein weißes Stempelkissen darübergezogen. Den grünen Cardstock habe ich dann nur an die Rückseite des weißen Baumes geklebt. So lässt sich die Karte aufklappen. Oben auf den Tannenbaum habe ich noch einen halben Stern, den ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt habe, aufgeklebt.

Anschließend habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

My card is made from two parts. First I die cut the large tree by Magnolia from a piece of white cardstock, making sure that the straight edge on the left doesn't get cut. Instead I made a score line there and used the left over white cardstock as the back of my note card.

Then I cut a rectangle the same size as the back of my note card from dark green cardstock and dry embossed it with the Christmas Stars 3D embossing folder by Nellie Snellen. I carefully dragged a white ink pad over the cardstock and attached the green cardstock just to the back of the tree. This way the card can be opened. As a tree topper I added half a star, cut from matte silver metallic cardstock, to the tree.

Then I added spatters of white cardstock on top of everything.

Das Merry Christmas habe ich aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und das Wort Christmas zusätzlich mit vier Lagen weißem Cardstock hinterlegt. Dann habe ich beide Worte auf die Karte geklebt und mit einigen Ilex-Blättern dekoriert. Die habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und Beeren aus silbernen Perlen dazugeklebt.

Unter dem Haupttext habe ich mit 3D Tape noch ein Happy Holidays aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich einen Stempel aus dem Bitty Holiday Wishes von MFT silbern auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

The merry christmas I die cut from matte silver metallic cardstoc and cut four additional layers of just the word christmas from white cardstock to stack them. Then I adhered both words to the cardstock and decorated it with a few Holly leaves. I die cut those from light green cardstock and added a few silver pearls as berries.

Under the main text I attached a little happy holidays. I silver heat embossed the stamp from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set by MFT onto black cardstock and adhered them with foam tape.

 

 

 Oben rechts in der Ecke habe ich zwei weitere Ilex-Blätter sowie eine Weihnachtsstern-Blüte aufgeklebt. Die Blüten habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ein wenig mit grüner Tinte eingefärbt. Ich liebe weiße Weihnachtssterne, gerade wegen dem Grün in den Blüten. Auch hier habe ich ein paar silberne Perlen in die Blütenmitte geklebt.

Und weil die Elemente auf der Karte ein wenig verloren wirkten, habe ich noch zwei dünne Streifen aus dem Metallic Cardstock geschnitten und an die obere und rechte Kante meiner Karte geklebt.

To the top right of the card I added two more Holly leaves and a poinsettia. I die cut the poinsettia from white cardstock and lightly inked them with green ink. I love white poinsettias because of those green and white blooms. Again I used a few silver pearls in the flower center.

And since the elements on the cards looked a bit lost I cut two thin strips from the metallic cardstock and glued them along the top and right edge of my card.

And here's the obligatory picture taken at an angle - this way all the metallic elements and the embossing are way better noticable.

Eine florale Weihnachtskarte

Vor einiger Zeit schon habe ich mir den  Winter Floral Mix von SimonSaysStamp gegönnt. Ich liebe florale Hintergrundstempel - und hier habe ich ihn endlich eingeweiht.

Some time ago I ordered the Winter Floral Mix by SimonSaysStamp. I love florale background images - and here I finally used it on a card.

Ich war ein wenig unsicher, wie ich den Stempel colorieren wollte - mit Watercolors, einfach Wischen oder so richtig mit Copics. Ich habe mich dann für letztere Alternative entschieden. Erst habe ich den Hintergrund mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Zwischenräume habe ich dann mit einem schwarzen Marker gefüllt.

Anschließend habe ich die Stempellinien nochmal mit Versamark gestempelt - dem Misti sei Dank problemlos an die selbe Stelle - und habe sie gold embosst. Ich mache das gern nach dem Colorieren, so muss ich nicht aufpassen, die embossten Linien anzumalen. 

Dann habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe auf den Cardstock gespritzt.

I wasn't sure how I wanted to color the image - with watercolors, just blending on some ink or actally color it with Copics. I went with the last opetion. First I stamped the background with black ink onto white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I then filled the space between the florals with a black marker.

Then I stamped the stamp lines again with Versamark - thanks to the Misti easily perfectly onto the black lines - and gold heat embossed them. I prefer doing the embossing after I finished the coloring so I don't have to take care to not color one of the embossed lines.

Then I also added some spatters with white acrylic paint.

Ich habe dann meinen Text gestempelt und gestanzt - und der ist auf dem doch recht intensiven Hintergrund total untergegangen. Also habe ich den Hintergrund nochmal gold auf ein Stück Vellum embosst und so zugeschnitten, dass die Mitte des Hintergrundes verdeckt ist. 

Außerdem habe ich auf alle Blütenmitten der Weihnachtssterne goldene Stickles aufgetragen.

I stamped and die cut my text - and on the quite intense background it really got lost. So I gold heat embossed the background again onto a piece of vellum and cut it, so it covers the center of my colored image.

I also added gold Stickles to the center of each poinsettia.

Für den Text habe ich ein merry ausgestanzt - viermal aus weißem Cardstock, einmal aus matt-goldenem Metallic-Cardstock. Die Teile habe ich aufeinander geklebt und im oberen Drittel des Vellums aufgeklebt.

Darunter befinden sich zwei gestempelte Texte. Sie sind aus den Sets Bitty Holiday Wishes und Itty Bitty Holidays von MFT. Ich habe sie jeweils gold auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und mit dünnem 3D Tape unter dem merry auf das Vellum geklebt.

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar rote Perlen aufgeklebt. 

Hinter den Texten und den Perlen sowie den goldenen Stickles habe ich dann den Kleber versteckt, mit dem ich das Vellum auf den Hintergrund geklebt habe.

For the text I die cut a merry - four times from white cardstock, once from matte gold metallic cardstock. I stacked the pieces and attached it onto the upper thirds of the vellum.

Under it I placed two stamped texts. They are from the Bitty Holiday Wishes and Itty Bitty Holidays sets by MFT. I gold heat embossed them onto black cardstock, cut them out and adhered them to the vellum with thin foam tape.

As decoration I added a few red pearls.

And behind the texts and pearls and the gold Stickles I've hidden the glue that I used to attach the vellum to the background.

Auch wenn das Vellum einiges des Motives verdeckt. gefällt es mir wahnsinnig gut.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Even with the vellum covering quite a lot of the image, I still really love this card.

I matted the cardstock black and attached it to a white note card.

LawnFawnatics Challenge #161

Es gibt wieder eine neue LawnFawnatics Challenge - diesmal mit dem Thema "Christmas Critters". Oh je, da ist die Auswahl ja riesig. Und trotzdem habe ich wieder zu den süßen Mäusen gegriffen.

There's a new LawnFawnatics challenge - this time with the theme of "christmas critters". Oh well, there are so many to choose from! And still I went with the cute mice again.

In Mausstadt sind alle Bewohner ganz aufgeregt. Santa ist zu Besuch und nun stehen die kleinen und großen Mäuse an, um ihm ihre Weihnachtswünsche zu veraten...

Ich habe hier eine Platform Pop-Up Karte gemacht. Die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und nach dem Zusammenkleben die äußeren Ränder mit Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness gewischt. Tja, das hätte ich mal lieber vorher machen sollen, dann hätte man die Kleberbatzer nicht so gesehen.... Aber ich dachte wirklich, weiß würde mir die Box am besten gefallen. Naja, so sieht es aus wie ein paar Schneeflecken. ;)

Für die Zimmerwand im Hintergrund habe ich die Platform Pop-Up Add-On Stanze aus einem Bogen aus dem Snowday Remix gestanzt. Der sieht ein wenig wie weihnachtliche Tapete aus.

Everyone in Mousetown is very excited. Santa came to visit and now all the small and big mice are standing in line to meet him and tell him their secret christmas wishes...

I made a Platform Pop-Up Card here. I die cut it from white cardstock and after glueing it together I inked the outside with Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness. I probably should have inked that before putting it together, then those areas I smeared some of my glue onto wouldn't have been noticable. But I really thought I'd like the box white best. Well, at least it kind of looks like snow.... ;)

For the wall of the room I die cut the Platform Pop-Up Add-On from a sheet of the Snowday Remic paper pad - it looks like a christmas-sy wallpaper.

Durch die verschiedenen Lagen wirken die Platform Pop-Up Karten so wunderbar realistisch! Da ich die Außenseiten grün gewischt habe, hat mir auch der weiße Boden nicht mehr gefallen. Also habe ich aus einem Bogen aus dem Spiffier Speckles Paper Pad die Oberseite der beiden Platform-Teile noch zweimal ausgestanzt und aufgeklebt. (Und weil meine Box ja schon samt T-Stücken zusammengebaut war, musste ich die grünen Teile hier mittig längs teilen, um sie aufkleben zu können.)

With all those layers the Platform Pop-Up cards look so wonderfully realistic! Since I had inked the outsides green I didn't like the white floor anymore as well. So I die cut the top of the the Platform piece again twice from a sheet from the Spiffier Speckles paper pad and glued them down. (And since I had already put my boxes including the t-shaped pieces together I had to cut the floor pieces in half lengthwise to be able to adhere them.)

Auf diesem Bild sieht man die hinterste Lage ganz gut. Dort befindet sich ein Kamin, an dem bereits einige Weihnachtssocken hängen. In ihm brennt ein gemütliches Feuer, dekoriert ist er mit einer großen Schleife. Auf dem Kaminsims stehen eine Uhr und zwei Kerzen. Alle Motive hier sind aus dem Stempelset Christmas Dreams. 

Und weil der Weihnachtsmann schon ein paar Geschenke dabei hat, steht nebem dem Kamin eine Spielzeug-Lok aus dem Holiday Helpers Stempelset. 

Alle Motive auf der Karte sind mit Copics coloriert.

On this picture you can see the back layer pretty good. There's a fireplace where some mice already hung up their stockings. A cozy fire is burning in it and it's decorated with a large red bow. On the mantle there's a clock and two candles. All these images are from the Christmas Dreams stamp set.

And since Santa already brought a few presents, there's a toy train from the Holiday Helpers set standing next to the fireplace.

All images in the card are colored with Copics.

Star der Karte ist natürlich Santa in seinem großen Sessel! 

Für den Sessel habe ich das Sofa aus dem Stempelset Window Scene: Winter etwas abgewandelt. Ich habe erst den mittleren Teil des Sofas gestempelt, dann die linke und rechte Lehne darangestempelt. Außerdem habe ich die Füße etwas gekürzt, die sahen so nah beieinander einfach zu hoch aus. 

Santa ist eigentlich ein Gnom aus dem Stempelset Oh Gnome. Aber ich brauchte unbedingt ein sitzendes Motiv, das ich in einen Weihnachtsmann abändern konnte. Ich habe ihn einfach im Weihnachtsmann-Look coloriert und seine Zipfelmütze durch die Mütze des Elfenmädchens aus dem Holiday Helpers Stempelset ersetzt. 

Der Sessel mit Santa steht noch auf einem roten Teppich, ebenfalls aus dem Christmas Dreams Set und am äußeren Rand dieser Lage sitzt ein kleiner Teddybär.

In der Reihe hinter Santa steht ein Elf, denn Santa ist natürlich nicht alleine unterwegs. Der Elf hält die Liste der braven Kinder - äh Mäuse - in der Hand (und schreibt heimlich die Wünsche mit). 

Of course Santa in the big green armchair is the star of the show!

To create the armchair I changed the couch from the Window Scene: Winter a bit. First I stamped the center of the couch, then stamped the arm rests to the left and right. I also cut the legs a bit shorter - this close together they looked a bit weird in their original size. 

This Santa is originally one of the gnomes from the Oh Gnome set. I really needed a sitting image that could be turned into Santa. I simply colored him in a Santa look and replaced his gnome hat with the hat from the elf girl of the Holiday Helpers set.

The armchair with Santa is standing on a red carpet, also from the Christmas Dreams set and on the very right of this row there's a little teddy sitting.

In the row behind Santa there's a little elf, because Santa never travels alone. The elf is holding the list of the nice children - um, mice - and is secretly noting down the mice's wishes.

Ich wünschte wirklich, ich würde diese tolle Kartenform besser auf ein Foto kriegen!

Auf Santas Schoss sitzt die kleine Maus aus dem Hay There Hayrides Mice Add-On Set. Und drumherum stehen weitere Mäuse, die - mehr oder weniger geduldig - darauf warten, auch mit Santa reden zu dürfen. Die Mäuse sind aus den Sets Elephant Parade, Fly High, Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy und Christmas Before 'n Afters.

Hinter dem Sessel, in der selben Reihe wie der Elf, steht ein geschmückter Weihnachtsbaum, vor dem eine Trommel liegt.

I really wish taking good pictures of this great card type would be easier!

The little mouse from the Hay There Hayrides Mice Add-On set is sitting on Santa's lap. And around them there are more mice, waiting - more or less patiently - for their turn to speak with Santa. The mice are from the sets Elephant Parade, Fly High, Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy and Christmas Before 'n Afters.

Behind the armchair, in the same row as the little elf, there's a decorated christmas tree put up, with a little drum laying under it.

 

 Auf der vordersten Reihe der Platform-T-Stücke befindet sich eine kleine Maus, die sich bereits eine Weihnachtssocke geschnappt hat.

Und dort steht auch ein Schild, auf dem "triff Santa" geschrieben steht. Das Schild ist aus dem Set Penguin Party, den Text habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner per Hand draufgeschrieben. Ich habe die weißen Teile der Stange, die Christbaumspitze, die Flammen der Kerzen sowie die Fellränder der Weihnachtssocken mit Stickles beglittert. Vor dem Schild sitzt eine weitere Maus. 

Das Äußere der Platform-Karte habe ich dann mit der Schleife, die ebenfalls im Set kommt, dekoriert. Die habe ich wieder aus dem selben grünen Designpapier gestanzt, das ich auch für den Boden verwendet habe.

Darunter befindet sich noch ein Text. Mögen all Deine Weihnachtswünsche wahr werden - den fand ich einfach perfekt für die Szene. Er ist aus dem Set Joy to All und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen roten Designpapiers mit feinen weißen Schneeflocken aus dem Snowday Remix Paper Pad aufembosst.

 

On the very front row of the platform t-shaped pieces there's another little mouse that already snatched one of the christmas stockings.

And there's also a sign standing, saying "meet Santa". The sign is from the Penguin Party stamp set, I wrote the text on it with a black fineliner. I covered the white pieces of the pole, the tree topper, the candle flames and the brims of the stockings with Stickles.  

The outside of the platform I decorated with a bow, that also comes in the Platform Pop-Up die set. I die cut it from the same greem patterned paper that I had used for the floor.

Under it I attached my text. "May all your christmas wishes come true" seemed perfect for my little scene. It's from the Joy to All stamp set and I white heat embossed onto a strip of a red patterned paper with thin snowflakes from the Snowday Remix paper pad.

Auf dieser Karte habe ich endlich einige der Stempel aus dem letzten Release von Create a Smile eingeweiht. Irgendwie sind die Tage momentan zu kurz, um alles unterzukriegen.

On this card I finally used some of the products from the lastest release by Create a Smile. Somehow the days don't have enough hours lately for all the things I want to do.

Kennt Ihr das - Ihr habt eine Idee im Kopf, aber wenn die Karte dann fertig ist, dann ist sie doch irgendwie anders und Ihr seid nicht 100 % zufrieden? So geht es mir ein wenig mit dieser Karte, auch wenn sie mir insgesamt recht gut gefällt.

Erst habe ich mit den Schneeflocken aus dem Set Filigrane Schneeflocken einen Rahmen auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und weiß embosst. Dann habe ich den Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire und Black Soot gewischt und anschließend weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Does it happen to you, too - you have an idea in your head and once the card is done it looks somehow different and you're not 100% happy with it? That's what happened to me with this card, even if I like it in general.

First I used the stamps from the Filigrane Schneeflocken set to stamp a frame onto a piece of white cardstock and white heat embossed them. Then I inked the cardstock with Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot and added spatters with white acrylic paint.

Der Stempel Winterpost ist schon älter, durfte aber erst jetzt bei mir Einziehen. Ich habe ihn erst mit heller Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Dann habe ich ihn mit Stempeln aus dem Set Schneemann-Bausatz winterlich aufgehübscht. Da ist ein Geweih, ein kleiner Vogel, ein Schal und Handschuhe. Die habe ich mit Copics coloriert. Erst danach habe ich das Wort Winterpost nochmal aufgestempelt und mit silbernem Glitzer-Embossingpulver embosst. Auf diese Art habe ich mir das Maskieren des Textes beim Stempeln der Accessoires gespart. Damit man den Text besser lesen kann, habe ich noch mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nur oben und links der Stempellinien eine feine Linie gezogen.

Ich habe alles ausgeschnitten und außerdem noch die runde Nase aus dem Schneemann-Bausatz mit rotem Glitzer-Embossingpulver gestempelt und gefüllt. Die habe ich dann ausgeschnitten und auf den I-Punkt zwischen den beiden Geweihen aufgeklebt.

Die Texte sind aus dem Set Kleine Weihnachtsgrüße und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Den Text "kalte Nase, warmes Herz" habe ich dabei von zwei- auf einzeilig geändert.

 

The stamp wintermail is an older one, but I just bought it recently. I first stamped it with light ink onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I used stamps from the Schneemann-Bausatz set to dress it up winterish. There are antlers, a little bird, a scarf and mittens. I colored these with Copics, then stamped the word wintermail again and heat embossed it with silver glitter embossing powder. This way I was able to save me from masking the text to stamp the accessoires. To make the text a bit easier to read I used a black fineliner and drew a line only on the top and right of the stamped lines.

I cut everything out and also heat embossed the round nose from the Schneemann-Bausatz set with some red glitter embossing powder. I cut that out, too, and glued it on top of the tittle of the i and between the antlers.

The texts are white heat embossed onto strips of black cardstock. 

 

Das winterlich dekorierte Winterpost und die kleinen Textstreifen habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

Box im Nikolaus-Look

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Meine Kinder sind inzwischen alle außer Haus - zumindest die meiste Zeit - und an Nikolaus werden auch keine Stiefel mehr vor die Tür gestellt. Aber eine kleine Nikolausfeier mit Glühwein und Plätzchen gehört trotzdem dazu. Die findet inzwischen meist am Wochenende nach Nikolaus statt, wenn die Mädels Zeit haben, nach Hause zu kommen. Und da gehört für mich eine süße Tischdeko dazu. Dieses Jahr werden diese Boxen, die ich heute auf dem Kulricke Blog zeige, wohl die Teller zieren. Und lecker befüllen kann man sie auch. 

Hello everyone!

My kids have all moved out now - at least mostly - and they also don't put a boot outside the door anymore for Nikolaus to fill them. But we still do a little Nikolaus party with Glühwein and cookies each year. Most times we do it the sunday after Nikolaus day, which is december 6th, so the girls have time to come home. And of course I want some cute treats on the table. I think, this year it will be these boxes, that I'm sharing over on the Kulricke Blog today. And they can even be filled with some yummy christmas chocolates.

 

Für meine Nikolausbox - noch ist ja erst eine als Prototyp fertig - habe ich die Spitztüten-Stanze mit der Lichtbox-Stanze kombiniert. Die passen nämlich fast perfekt aufeinander und der Übergang ist unter dem "Pelzrand" der Nikolausmütze versteckt. 

For my Nikolaus box - right now I've only finished this one as a test - I combined the Spitztüte die and the Lichtbox die. They fit on top of each other nearly perfectly and the seam is hidden behind the brim of Nikolaus' hat. 

Für das Gesicht habe ich alle Teile der Lichtbox aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Aus einer der Seiten der unteren Box habe ich dann den drittgrößten Kreis aus dem Nesting Stitched Kreise Set gestanzt und das Fenster von hinten mit rosafarbenem Cardstock hinterlegt. So kann ich hier nicht nur die  Nase und den Schnurrbart befestigen, der Cardstock verschließt auch die Box, so dass nach dem Herausnehmen der inneren Box der Inhalt nicht durch die Öffnung herausfällt. 

Meine Box sollte nach Nikolaus, aber nicht zu kindlich aussehen. Deswegen habe ich das Gesicht nur mit Nase und Schnurrbar gestaltet. Die Nase ist einfach aus einem kleinen rosafarbenen Kreis gemacht, den Schnurrbart habe ich mit der Schnurrbart-Stanze aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Mit hellrosa Kreide habe ich Backen auf den rosafarbenen Cardstock gewischt und auch den unteren Teil der Nase etwas abgedunkelt. Dann habe ich die Nase mit dünnem, den Schnurrbart mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

For the face I die cut all the pieces of the Lichtbox die from white cardstock. From one side of the outer box I die cut a circle and put some light pink cardstock behind it. This does not only give me a place to adhere the face to but also keeps the content of the box from falling out of the circle window, once the inner box is pulled out.

I wanted my box to look like Nikolaus, but didn't want it to look childish. So I only added a nose and mustache to create a face. For the nose I simply cut a small circle from light pink cardstock. The mustache I made with the Schnurrbart die from white cardstock. 

I used light pink chalk to add some cheeks onto the pink cardstock and also to shade the bottom of the nose. Then I attached the nose with thin, the mustache with thick foam tape.

Für den Hut habe ich die Spitztüte aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt. 

Vor dem Zusammenkleben habe ich ein Stück weißes Band durch die Spitze gesteckt. Das habe ich vorher zur Schlaufe gelegt und einen kleinen Gruß darauf aufgefädelt. Dafür habe ich mit roter Tinte ein "zum Nikolaus" auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und einen Stempel aus dem Set #Weihnachten benutzt. Das Zum ist aus einem älteren Geburtstagsset. Dann habe ich den Text mit dem Fishtail-Streifen aus dem Set Streifen ausgestanzt, passend gekürzt und am Ende ein Loch hineingestanzt, durch das ich das Band gezogen habe. 

Da das Banner sich immer drehen wollte - ich hätte wohl am Cardstock einen Knoten machen sollen - habe ich später noch ein Stück weißes Twine direkt am Banner um das Band gewickelt und zu einer kleinen Schleife gebunden.

Die Spitze der Spitztüte habe ich ein wenig nach unten geknickt und dann mit Heißkleber einen weißen Pompom aufgeklebt. So eine Nikolausmütze braucht einfach einen Bommel! Dann habe ich die rote Spitztüte auf die innere Box der Lichtbox geklebt. Wenn man hier statt Kleber zwei Magnete verwendet, die die Box sowohl geschlossen als auch auf der kleinere Box fest halten, bietet der Nikolaus noch mehr Platz für Süßes... ;)

Um, wie schon erwähnt, den Übergang der beiden Boxen zu kaschieren, habe ich einen "Fellrand" aus weißem Cardstock gemacht. Ich habe hier eine alte Handstanze verwendet, um einen langen Streifen zu kreieren. Einfacher wäre es gewesen, den Griff des Picknickkorb-Sets zu verwenden und mit Partial Diecutting zu verlängern. Naja, manchmal kommen die besten Ideen erst zum Schluss. 

Den Fellrand habe ich dann mit dickem 3D Tape am oberen Rand der inneren Lichtbox angeklebt, so dass er in die rote Spitztüte hineinragt. 

Dekoriert habe ich den Fellrand noch mit etwas Ilex - gemacht wieder mit der gestitchten Blüte aus dem Blumen Set, von der ich ein Blütenblatt weggeschnitten habe. In die Mitte habe ich drei Beeren aus roten Perlen gesetzt. 

 

For the hat I die cut the Spitztüte from red cardstock. 

Before I glued the sides closed I put a piece of white ribbon through the top. I had built a loop from it and attached a little white banner with a "for Nikolaus day" text stamped onto it with red ink.  

Since the banner wanted to turn around all the time - guess I should have made a knot with the ribbon there - I later wrapped a piece of white twine around the ribbon right next to the banner and tied it to a small bow.

I crushed the top of the Spitztüte a bit and then attached  a white pompom using hot glue. A Nikolaus hat just needs a pompom! Then I glued the Spitztüte on top of the inner box of the Lichtbox. If you use a magnet that both holds the Spitztüte closed and fixed on top of the inner box then there's even more room for candy.... ;)

As mentioned did I add a fur brim to the hat to cover the seam of both boxes. I used a good old hand punch to create that from white cardstock, then adhered it with thick foam tape to the top of the inner Lichtbox, letting it cover the bottom of the red triangle box.

I decorated the brim with a holly leave with three berries made from red pearls put in the center.

Um die Box zu öffnen, kann man ganz bequem an der Nikolausmütze ziehen und sie samt innerer Box anheben. Und so sieht die Box dann geöffnet aus.

Sneak auf das Dezember-Release von Stampcorner

Heute zeige ich Euch ein Sneak auf die neue Stanze, die es ab 1. Dezember bei Stampcorner geben wird. Weitere Sneaks wird es nicht geben, denn größer ist das eigentliche Release nicht. Aber der Dezember wäre nicht der Dezember, wenn es nicht täglich eine Überraschung geben würde.... Mehr sage ich nicht!

 

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a sneak of the die, that will come to the Stampcorner store on december 1st. There won't be any more sneaks because the release isn't any larger. But of course december wouldn't be december if there wouldn't be a surpise each day.... I'm not going to tell more!

 

Die Stanze ist eine weitere Hintergrundstanze mit einem ausgestanzten Fenster, diesmal mit einem gewellten und gestitchten Rand und das Fenster ist ein großer "Klecks". Sorry, ein anderes Wort fällt mir dazu gerade nicht ein. Aber dieser "Klecks" hat mich sofort an einen an einer Fensterscheibe zerplatzenden Schneeball erinnert - wahrscheinlich, weil ich im Bastel-Wintermodus bin. Aber so war die Idee zu dieser Karte geboren.

Ich habe erst die neue Stanze aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt und den gewellten Rand samt den Stitches weggeschnitten. Das geniale ist, dass der äußere Rand identisch mit dem der A6 Wave Stanzen ist. Also habe ich die größte davon eine aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und damit später meinen Cardstock mit Fenster hinterlegt.

Zuvor habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver und dem Snowfall Background von MFT Schneeflocken auf den hellblauen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich ihn von außen her mit Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans und Chipped Sapphire gewischt.

 

 The new die is another background die with a window that's getting cut from the center, this time it's a big "splotch" - sorry, I just don't find another word that matches this shape - with a stitched line and wavy outer edges. This "splotch" reminded me of a snowball, that just landed on your window - most likely because I am in full winter mode craftwise. But that's how the idea for this card came to my mind.

First I die cut the new die from light blue cardstock and cut off the stitched lines and the wavy edges. The great thing about this die is, that the outer shape is identical to the A6 Wave dies. So I die cut the largest one  from white cardstock and used that behind the window later. 

First I covered the light blue cardstock with snowflakes, made using the Snowfall Background by MFT and white embossing powder. Then I inked the cardstock with Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire.

Dann bin ich auf die Suche nach zu einem Schneeball passenden Motiv gegangen und auf das Snowball Fight von LawnFawn gestoßen. Die Schneeballschlacht-Mäuse sind doch einfach perfekt. Also habe ich zwei davon auf der Karte verwendet. Sie stehen natürlich im tiefen Schnee und die rechte Maus hat hinter sich einen ordentlichen Haufen Schneebälle vorbereitet. Ich fürchte nur, vor lauter Vorbereitung hat sie den Kampf ganz vergessen und wird gleich ein eiskaltes Erwachen erleben....

Ich wollte meine Mäuse passend zum Schnee und dem frostig-blauen Hintergrund halten. Deswegen sind es Schneemäuse mit blauen Mützen und Schals geworden. Die habe ich ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Der Text darunter und auch das Happy Winter sind aus dem selben Stempelset. Ich habe sie weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und wieder mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Dann habe ich alles, wieder mit 3D Tape, auf den weißen Hintergrund geklebt. Mitten in den "Klecks" habe ich dann mit hellblauer Tinte einen fliegenden Schneeball gestempelt, den die linke Maus gerade geworfen hat. Außerdem habe ich innerhalb der Form des Kleckses einige Linien mit Stickles auf den weißen Cardstock aufgetragen. So sieht das Fenster nicht zu langweilig aus und der Glitzer passt super zum Winterlook. 

Then I looked for an image that will work with my snowball idea and came across the Snowball Fight set by LawnFawn. These mice making a snowball fight are just perfect. I used two of them on my card. Of course they are standing in big piles of snow and the mouse on the right has prepared a lot of snowballs. I only fear that she is so caught up in making snowballs that she has forgotten about the fight completly and will get a cold surprise in just a second....

I wanted my mice to match the snow and the frosty-blue background. So I turned them into snow mice with blue hats and scarfs. I cut them out and attached them with foam tape to the background.

The text underneath and the happy winter text both come in the same stamp set. I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock and adhered both with foam tape.

Then I used foam tape again to glue the blue cardstock onto the white background. With light blue ink I stamped a flying snowball, that the mouse on the left has just thrown, into the center of the splotch.

I also drew a few lines with Stickles inside the shape of the splotch. This way the big window doesn't look so plain and the glitter is perfect for the winter theme.

 

 Die Karte ist für mich eher einfach ausgefallen, aber ich mag sie sehr.

Damit der tolle gewellte Rand auch zur  Geltung kommt, habe ich diesmal einen blauen Kartenrohling verwendet.

This is one of my more simple cards, but I really like it.

To make sure the wavy border doesn't get lost I used a blue note card here.

Läuft, Geburtstagskind

Mit Männer-Geburtstagskarten tue ich mich meist immer noch richtig schwer. Jetzt brauchte ich wieder eine, aber hier hatte ich sofort eine passende Idee. Die Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner-Blog zeige, passt für das Geburtstagskind wie die Faust aufs Auge!

Most times I have a hard time making male birthday cards. Time has come that I needed one again, but this time I had the perfect design right in my mind. This card, that I'm sharing over on the Stampcorner Blog today, is just perfect for the birthday boy.

Zum Einsatz kam hier wieder das Stempelset Nasenbande aus dem November-Release. Damit habe ich auch den Hintergrund gestaltet. Im Set sind einige Sprechblasen enthalten. Die habe ich verwendet und ein Stück weißen Cardstock komplett damit bestempelt. 

Da ich auch für die Motive hauptsächlich schwarz und weiß verwendet habe, habe ich den Hintergrund mit einer Lage Vellum abgedeckt, so dass die Motive darauf etwas besser zur Geltung kommen.

I used the Nasenbande stamp set from the november release again. I also used it to create the background. There are several different speech bubbles included in the set. I used those to completly fill a piece of white cardstock.

Since I used black and white mainly for my images, too, I covered the background with a layer of vellum, so the images on top would be visible better. 

Das Zebra aus dem Set fand ich von Anfang an klasse - hier habe ich es in ein Irokesen-Zebra verwandelt. Zum Colorieren mit Copics habe ich Grau- und Rottöne verwendet und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Nun, der Begriff Zebra passt vielleicht nicht ganz genau, für mich sah es so aus. Aber nach dem Colorieren fiel mir auf, dass es ja gar keine Streifen hat! Die habe ich dann einfach mit einem schwarze Copic aufgemalt. 

Neben dem Zebra habe ich eine Sprechblase, mit weißem Embossingpulver auf roten Cardstock embosst und schwarz hinterlegt, aufgeklebt. Da die Sprechblase mit dem Wort Cool eigentlich in die andere Richtung zeigt, habe ich erst nur das Wort embosst und dann die Sprechblase des Wortes WOW darum gesetzt.

Außerdem wollte ich der Karte, neben dem Text, doch noch einen kleinen Geburtstagslook geben. Also habe ich den Luftballon aus dem Set Geburtstags-Ernst weiß auf Vellum embosst, von hinten mit einem roten Copic eingefärbt, einen kleinen schwarzen Stern aufgeklebt und alles mit Glossy Accents überzogen. Den habe ich dann so über dem Zebra aufgeklebt, dass es so aussieht, als halte es ihn.

 Right from the first moment I loved the zebra in the set - here I turned it into a mohican zebra. To color it in I used grey and red Copics and added some highlights with a white gel pen. Well, zebra might not be the right term for this image, it looked like one to me. But after I hald colored it I realized that it has no stripes. I simply used a black Copic to add some.

Next to the zebra I placed a speech bubble, white heat embossed onto red cardstock and matted with black cardstock. Since the speech bubble with the word cool has the tip to the other direction I only stamped the word, then put the speech bubble of the word wow around it.

Besides the text I wanted to add at least a bit of a birthday touch to my card.So I white heat embossed the balloon from the Geburtstags-Ernst set onto vellum, colored it with a red Copic on the back, glued a small black star onto it and then covered it with Glossy Accents. Then I attached it above the zebra, making it look like the zebra is holding it.

Unter dem Zebra habe ich das Wort Geburtstagskind, gemacht mit der Geburtstagskind-Stanze, aufgeklebt. Ich habe es dreimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, die Teile aufeinander geklebt und dann mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Darunter befinden sich zwei kleine Text aus dem Stempelset Kleine Worte. Die sind weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst. Und dann wollte ich noch irgendein Element über dem gestanzten Wort haben. Da fiel mir das Stempelset Mega in die Hände - ich finde, das "läuft" passt hier ganz gut, auch weil es genau zwischendie höheren Buchstaben B und K passt. Ich habe es rot coloriert, ausgeschnitten und neben dem Zebra in die Lücke im Wort Geburtstagskind geklebt.

Under the zebra I adhered a die cut word birthday boy across the card. I die cut it three times from black cardstock, stacked the die cuts and then covered the word with Glossy Accents.

Under it I added two subtexts. They mean "hip hip hooray, congrats" and are white heat embossed onto red cardstock. And then I wanted another element above the die cut word. I stamped it, colored it red, cut it out and adhered it next to the zebra and into the gap between the letters B and K of the die cut word. 

Zum Aufkleben des Zebras, des Luftballons und der roten Sprechblase habe ich dünnes 3D Tape verwendet. 

Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar silberne Enamel Dots aufgeklebt, dann habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

Die Dinos sind los!

Mein Enkel ist 3 Jahre geworden, eine selbstgemachte Karte von Oma war da natürlich Ehrensache! Wie alle Jungs liebt er Dinos und Autos, also habe ich die auf die Karte gepackt. Wie gut, dass er auch Wimmelbücher liebt - auf der Karte ist nämlich einiges los....

My grandson turned 3 - and of course grandma made him a special card. Like every little boy he loves dinosaurs and vehicles, so I combined both on this card. Luckily he also loves those hidden objects books, there's a lot going on on this card....

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs und Brushed Corduroy gewischt. Nur auf den braunen Bereich habe ich dann schwarze und champagnerfarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt, auf dem grünen Bereich habe ich ganz feine Wassertropfen verteilt.

I inked the background with Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs and Brushed Corduroy. Only onto the brown area I spattered some black and champagne colored metallic watercolor, the green area I misted with water.

Die Idee zu der Karte begann mit dem PickUp Truck aus einem der diesjährigen Weihnachtsstanzensets von Action. Und mir war ziemlich schnell klar, dass Dinos auch auf die Karte müssen. Die Dinos aus dem Little Dino Agenda Set von MamaElephant waren perfekt, ich habe sie zudem mit Partyhüten aus diversen Stempelsets von LawnFawn partytauglich gemacht.

Den PickUp Truck habe ich aus rostrotem Cardstock gestanzt und mit roter Distress Ink ein wenig schattiert. Die Fenster sind aus hellblauem Cardstock, die Metall-Details aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt. Außerdem habe ich eine hellblaue Partygirlande, beklebt mit kleinen Stern-Pailetten, am Wagen entlang gespannt. 

Eigentlich wollte ich den Truck mit einem Teil des The Birthday Bash Stempels von MamaElephant beladen, aber das passte nicht. Und dann kam das neue Deliver by Truck Stempelset auf den Markt. Eine der Ladungen war perfekt! Ich habe nur den Hund und das Huhn auf dem Stempel durch zwei der Dinos ersetzt und eine 3 in einen der Luftballons gestempelt. Coloriert habe ich alle Motive mit Copics. 

The idea for this card started with the PickUp truck die from one of this year's christmas die sets sold by Action, a german/dutch kind of Dollar Store. And I knew pretty quick that there had to be dinosaurs on the card. Those are from the Little Dino Agenda set by MamaElephant, I made them party-ready with some party hats from different stamp sets by LawnFawn. 

I die cut the PickUp truck from rust-red cardstock and shaded it a bit with Distress Inks. The windows I cut from light blue, the metallic parts from matte silver metallic cardstock. I also hung up a light blue party banner along the car.

I had planned to fill the bed of the truck with a part of the The Birthday Bash image by MamaElephant, but that just didn't work. And then they released the new Deliver by Truck stamp set - one of those loads was just perfect! I just exchanged the dog and chicken of this image with dinosaurs and also stamped a 3 onto one of the balloons. The coloring of all the images I did with Copics.

Wenn ich an prähistorische Landschaften denke, kommen mir immer Vulkane und Palmen in den Sinn. Also habe ich die in den Hintergrund meiner Szene gesetzt. Die Palmen sind aus dem Set Me and my Dinosaur von MamaElephant, der Vulkan aus dem Set Roarsome von LawnFawn. Der spuckt fleißig Konfetti - sie sind aus dem The Birthday Bash Set von ME und mit Metallic Markern ausgemalt. Ich habe die erst nach dem Wischen des Hintergrunds und Aufkleben des Vulkans aufgestempelt, die Metallic Marker sind deckend und so war das Einfärben kein Problem. Zwischen den Konfetti habe noch einige kleine Punkte mit einem silbernen Marker verteilt.

Am Himmel habe ich dann noch einige kleine Wolken aufgeklebt.

When I think of prehistoric landscapes I always think of volcanos and palm trees. So I used those for the background of my scene. The palm trees are from the Me and my Dinosaur stamp set by MamaElephant, the volcano is from the Roarsome set by LawnFawn. It's spewing confetti - made with a stamp from the The Birthday Bash set by ME and colored with metallic markers. I had stamped the confetti after inking the background and glueing on the volcano. The metallic markers are opaque and so covering the sky wasn't hard. I also made some little dots with a silver marker between and around the stamped confetti.

I also glued a few small clouds to the sky.

Und zum Schluss fand ich, dass, obwohl mein Enkel natürlich noch nicht lesen kann, ein Geburtstagsgruß doch noch auf die Karte gehört. Also habe ich mit Stempeln und Stempelteilen aus den Sets Kleine Worte und Kleine Worte 2 von Stampcorner ein "hurra, du hast Geburtstag" weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mittig an den unteren Rand der Karte geklebt.

And then I found that, even with my grandson not being able to read yet, a birthday greeting just had to go on the card. I white heat embossed a "hooray, it's your birthday" onto black cardstock and glued it centered along the bottom edge of the card.

Da ich zum Zusammensetzen des Trucks bereits teilweise 3D Tape verwendet hatte, musste ich das natürlich auch für den Rest der Karte benutzen. Dadurch ist sie zwar an einigen Stellen doch höher als geplant geworden, da ich die Karte aber ja nicht verschicken musste, war da überhaupt kein Problem. Als letzten Schritt habe ich dann alles noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Since I had already used foam tape behind some pieces of the truck I also had to use it to put the whole scene together. That's why the card turned out a bit higher than planned but since I didn't have to mail it that wasn't a problem.

As a last step I attached everything to a white note card.
