Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vor kurzem habe Euch ja schon eine Karte mit der Cafetiera-Stanze von HeroArts gezeigt, heute folgt eine weitere. Und mit der holen wir uns Italien ins Haus. Denn auch wenn Cafetieras inzwischen überall auf der Welt genutzt werden, ich muss bei ihrem Anblick einfach immer an Italien denken.

A little ago I've shared a card with you, on which I used the Stovetop Espresso die by HeroArts, today I have another one. And with this one, we're bringing Italy into our home. Of course those Cafetieras get used all over the world, but whenever I see one I think of Italy. 

 

Auf dieser Karte habe ich Produkte diverser Firmen kombiniert. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus helltürkis farbenem Cardstock, in den ich mit der Woodgrain Texture Stanze von WaffleFlower eine Holzmaserung geprägt habe. Dann habe ich die passenden Stencils aufgelegt und die Texture mit Distress Ink Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke und Scorched Timber aufgewischt. Ich wollte, dass es so aussieht, als hätte jemand eine Wand aus altem Treibholz gebaut. Das Meer ist ja nicht weit. 

Und passend zum Kaffee-Thema habe ich dann noch den Coffee Drinks Stencil von SimonSaysStamp aufgelegt und mit Scorched Timber die Kaffee-Worte aufgetragen. Gerade so, als hätte jemand seine Treibholzwand in der Küche mit einem Stencil dekoriert. 

 

I combined several brands on this card.

The background is made from light aqua cardstock. I cut the Woodgrain Texture by WaffleFlower into it, then used the matching stencils and Distress Ink Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke and Scorched Timber to add the details to the stitched pattern. I wanted it to look like someone covered the wall with old drift wood. The ocean isn't that far away...

And going with the coffee theme of the card I used the Coffee Drinks stencils by SimonSaysStamp and Scorched Timber to add the words. Just like someone decorated their drift wood kitchen wall with the words.

 

Aus der Mitte des Hintergrunds habe ich ein Rechteck geschnitten und dahinter eine Landschaft in der Toskana gesetzt. Die ist einfach mit Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean und Rustic Wilderness auf weißen Cardstock gewischt. Dann habe ich Copic genommen und ganz rudimentär ein paar Zypressen mit einem Weg dazwischen aufgemalt.  

Dann habe ich den Window Frame von LawnFawn dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und von zwei der Fenster nur Teile benutzt. Die habe ich alle mit Copics schattiert und dann aufeinander- und um die Landschaft geklebt. Nun kann man aus dem Küchenfenster die Landschaft und das Meer sehen.

 

From the center of the background I cut a rectangle and put a scene behind it, going for the look of Tuscany. I simply inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Rustic Wilderness. Then I brought out my Copics and added some cypresses with a path inbetween, just drawing them on in a very simple way.

Then I cut the Window Frame by LawnFawn three times from white cardstock, from two of them I just used parts. I shaded them all with Copics, then glued them on top of each other and put the landscape scene behind it. Now you can see the landscape of Tuscany and the ocean throug the kitchen window. 

 

 Die Cafetiera, deren Deckel sich diesmal nicht öffnen lässt, habe ich aus silbernem Schimmer-Cardstock gestanzt, Griff und Knopf am Deckel sind aus schwarzem Cardstock. Ich habe die silbernen Teile mit Hickory Smoke gewischt und später noch ein paar dunkle Schatten mit Copics hinzugefügt.

Auch die Tasse, ebenfalls aus dem Stovetop Espresso Stanzenset von HeroArts, habe ich wieder dreimal gestanzt, so zugeschnitten, dass sich die Teile layern lassen, und alles mit Copics schattiert. Außerdem habe ich mit einer Stanze von MarianneDesign einen kleinen Kekes aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics coloriert und auf den Unterteller gelegt. 

Weil Tasse und Cafetiera nicht in der Luft vor der Wand schweben können habe ich aus dem grauen Woodgrain Cardstock von LawnFawn einen Streifen abgeschnitten, die Struktur mit Hickory Smoke und etwas weißer Stempeltinte hervorgehoben, und ihn entlang des unteren Rands der Karte auf den Hintergrund geklebt. 

Rund um die Cafetiera habe ich einige Kaffeebohnen verteilt.  

Der Text ist aus dem La Dolce Vita Banners Stanzenset von Spellbinders.  Ich habe ihn aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt und ein wenig mit Tumbled Glass gewischt, um das Blau des Himmels nochmal aufzugreifen. Dann habe ich unterhalb des Fensters quer über die Karte geklebt.

 

I die cut the cafetiera - the lid doesn't open this time - from silver shimmer cardstock, the handle and knob are cut from black cardstock. I shaded the silver pieces with Hickory Smoke and later added some darker shadows with Copics. 

Again I die cut the cup, that's also from Stovetop Espresso by HeroArts, three time, cut it to be able to layer it and shaded the pieces with Copics.  I also used a die by MarianneDesign to cut a little cookie, colored it with Copics and put it onto the saucer.

And since the cup and cafetiera can't float in front of the window I cut a strip from the grey woodgrain cardstock by LawnFawn, brought out the texture a bit more with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke and some white pigment ink and glued the strip along the bottom edge onto the background.

I added some coffee beans around the cafetiera.

The text is from the La Dolce Vita Banners by Spellbinders.  I cut it from light blue cardstock and shaded it with Tumbled Glass, bringing in the blue of the sky in the window again. Then I adhered the text banner across the card, right under the window.

 

 Die Cafetiera habe ich mit dünnem, Tasse und Text mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Dann habe ich noch ein paar weiße Herzen als Deko auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I backed the cafetiera with thin, the cup and text banner with thick foam tape. Then I added some white clay hearts as decoration and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

LawnFawnatics Challenge #202

Für die LawnFawnatics Challenge #202 gibt es eine Farbkombi als Aufgabe - und man kann sich sowohl als auch vom Bild und/oder der Farbkombi inspirieren lassen. Und weil Bilder mehr sagen als ich mit meiner Schreiberei hier, zeige ich Euch die Inspiration einfach:

The theme for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #202 is a color combo - and you can either take inspiration just from the colors or/and from the picture. And since it doesn't make sense for me to try explaining the theme I just show you the inspiration picture:

 

 Wie Ihr schon seht, habe ich nur die Farben in meiner Karte integriert. Und die haben mich ehrlich gesagt wirklich herausgefordert. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich diese Farbkombi von selbst für eine Karte ausgewählt habe. Aber auf der Karte gefällt sie mir wirklich gut.

 

As you can see, I only used the colors on my card. And those were a real challenge to me. I don't think I'd pick them for a card on my own. But I really like how they came together on the card.

 

 

 Ich habe für meine Karte die Riverside Backdrop Landscape Stanze benutzt und das bedeutet auch, dass ich eine Szene gestaltet habe. Diesmal mit Enten. 

Ich habe den Himmel aus einem Stück Designpapier aus dem Gleeful Gradients Paper Pad gestanzt und von oben her mit Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire etwas abgedunkelt. 

Dann habe ich den Hintergrund einmal aus grünem und einmal aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt. Das grüne Stanzteil habe ich mit Shabby Shutters und Peeled Paint, den braunen Weg mit Scorched Timber gewischt. Auf das Gras habe ich Peeled Paint und Ground Espresso, auf den Weg Ground Espresso und weiße Acrylfarbe und auf den Himmel nur weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

I used the Riverside Backdrop Landscape die and that means, I created a scene. This time with little ducks.

I cut the sky from a sheet from the Gleeful Gradients paper pad and darkened it from the top down with Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire.

Then I die cut the background once from green and once from brown cardstock. I shaded the green one with Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint, the brown path with Scorched Timber. Then I splattered Peeled Paint and Ground Espresso onto the grass, Ground Espresso and white acrylic paint onto the path and onto the sky just white acrylic paint.

 

Im Hintergrund habe ich kleine ländliche Szene gestaltet. Hier stehen der Zaun und die Scheune aus Hay There. Daneben befinden sich Bäume. Die sind, genauso wie die Grasbüschel auf der Karte, wieder mit Stanze aus dem Riverside Backdrop Set gemacht. 

Die Baumstämme habe ich aus braunem Cardstock, die Blätter aus Designpapier aus dem Spiffy Speckles Paper Pad gestanzt. Die Stämme habe ich wieder mit Ground Espresso, das Laub mit Abandoned Coral schattiert. Und auf den Grasbüscheln kam ein wenig Peeled Paint zum Einsatz.

 

In the background I created a kind of farm scene. There are some fences and the barn from Hay There, next to them some trees are growing. Those, and also the die cut grass, are again from Riverside Backdrop.

I die cut the tree trunks from brown cardstock, the leaves from a piece of paper from Spiffy Speckles. I shaded the tree trunks with Ground Espresso, the leaves with Abandoned Coral and onto the grass I put a bit of Peeled Paint.

 

 Und ganz vorne/unten laufen die Enten über den Weg. Mutter Ente hat heute mit ihren Kleinen einen Ausflug gemacht und ihnen ein wenig von der Welt gezeigt. Jetzt wird es langsam dunkel und sie sind auf dem Heimweg - die kleinen Enten noch immer neugierig aber auch müde von all dem Aufregenden, das sie heute gesehen haben.

Die Enten sind aus den Sets Rub-a-Dub und Rub-a-Dub FlipFlop. Die kleine Ente direkt hinter der Mutter habe ich dabei per Mirror Stamping gespiegelt, damit auch alle brav in die selbe Richtung laufen. 

Die Enten-Mutter trägt einen Hut aus dem Set Dad and Me, den ich mit einer Blume aus Garden Mouse dekoriert habe. Und weil sie natürlich Proviant für ihre Kinder dabei hatte - der ist allerdings längst gegessen - trägt sie noch einen Korb. Hier musste ich ein wenig tricksen, die Körbe in meinen Stempelsets waren alle entweder zu groß oder zu klein. Also habe ich eine der Gondeln des Riesenrads aus Wheely Great Day benutzt, braun coloriert und das Innenteil herausgeschnitten.

Die kleine Entenmädchen haben Schleifen aus Hay There. Und damit der Entenjunge nicht ganz nackig ist, habe ich ihm ein Halstuch verpasst. Auch hier musste ich um die Ecke denken und habe letztendlich einfach einen Wassertropfen aus Beary Rainy Day verwendet. 

Die vordere Ente hält eine weitere Blume in der Hand, das hintere Mädchen zieht eine kleine Spielzeugente aus Holiday Helpers hinter sich her. Und der Entenjunge sieht neugierig zu einem Vogel hinauf, der über seinem Kopf fliegt. Dieser und auch die beiden anderen Vögel auf meiner Karte sind aus It's a Bird.

 Ich habe alle Motive mit Copics coloriert und der Schere ausgeschnitten. 

 

And in the very front/bottom the ducks are crossing the path. Mother Duck took her little ones on a fiel trip today to show her a bit of the big world. Now it's getting dark and they are  on their way back home - the little ducklings still curious but also tired from all the exciting things they've seen this day.

The ducks are from Rub-a-Dub and Rub-a-Dub FlipFlop. I had to do some mirror stamping with the duckling directly behind mother Duck to make them all go the same direction.

Mother Duck is  wearing a hat from Dad and Me, that I decorated with a flower from Garden Mouse. And since she made sure to have some snacks for her children - that of course is long eaten by now - she's carrying a basket. I had to think outside the box here because the baskets in my stamp sets were either too large or too small. So I used one of the gondolas from the Wheel from Wheely Great Day, colored it brown and cut out the inner piece.

The little duck girls are wearing bows from Hay There on their heads. And to make sure the duck boy isn't running all naked I gave him a bandana around his neck. Again I had to be creative here and last but not least simply used one of the water droplets from Beary Rainy Day for it.

The first little duck is holding another flower, the girl at the end of the row is pulling a little duck toy on wheels. And the duck boy is looking up to a bird, that's flying above his head. This and also the other two birds are from It's a Bird.

I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors. 

 

Ich war ja sehr versucht, hier eine flache Karte zu machen, war mir aber sicher, dass ich am Ende nicht zufrieden sein würde. Also habe ich zumindest die Enten und die Vögel mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Direkt auf den Himmel habe ich dann meinen Text weiß aufembosst. Auch er ist aus Rub-a-Dub FlipFlop. 

Aus einem hellgelben karierten Bogen aus dem  Bitsy Blooms Paper Pad habe ich dann noch einen der Rectangle Frames gestanzt und den dann mit dickem 3D ape aufgeklebt. An die Rückseite des Rahmens habe ich das große Grasbüschel, das ich mittig halbiert habe, angeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I was very tempted to make a flat card, but knew, that I wouldn't be happy with it in the end. So I put thin foam tape at least behind the ducks and birds.

Directly onto the sky I white heat embossed the text. It's again from Rub-a-Dub FlipFlop. 

From a light yellow sheet from the Bitsy Blooms paper pad I die cut one of the Rectangle Frames and adhered it with thick foam tape. To the back of this frame I glued the large grass, that I cut in half lengthwise. 

In the end I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Bad to the Bone

Heute habe ich eine weitere Halloween-Karte für das WhimsyStamps Halloweeners Designteam für Euch. Und heute machen wir einen Ausflug auf den Friedhof...

Today I have another Halloween card for you, made for the Halloweeners Designteam by WhimsyStamps. And today we are taking a trip to the cemetry...

 

Meine Karte ist eine Slimline Card geworden. Das hatte sich bereits dadurch ergeben, dass ich die Slimline Decripit Grave Stanze verwendet habe. Aber später habe ich dann ganz spontan noch den Slimline Broken Web Embossingfolder herorgeholt und noch einen Hintergrund hinter den Grabstein gesetzt.

Ich habe das Muster des Embossingfolders in ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock geprägt und dann ein weißes Pigment-Stempelkissen vorsichtig auf den Cardstock gedrückt. So werden hauptsächlich die erhabenen Stellen eingefärbt. Ein klein wenig ist auch zwischen die Spinnennetzlinien geraten, aber das macht nichts - besonders nicht auf einer Halloween-Karte. Und dadurch, dass ich das Kissen nur von oben aufgedrückt habe, ist die Farbe auf den erhabenen Stellen ein wenig fleckig geworden, aber der Effekt gefällt mir super.

 

I made a slimline card. I already knew that I would end up with this format because I used the Slimline Decripit Grave die. But later I brought out the Slimline Broken Web embossing folder and created a background to put behind the gravestone.

I dry embossed a piece of black cardstock with said embossing folder and then carefully pressed a white pigment ink pad onto the cardstock. This way mainly the raised areas get inked up. I ended up with a bit of ink between a few of the spiderweb lines but it doesn't bother me - especially not on a halloween card. And because I only pressed the ink pad down and didn't do any swiping the color turned out a tiny bit splotchy, but I really like the effect. 

 

 Der große Grabstein, den man aber auch problemlos in der Höhe kürzen kann, füllt fasst den kompletten Hintergrund aus.

Ich habe den Grabstein einmal aus hell- und einmal aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und aus dem hellgrauen Teil die ebenfalls im Set enthaltenen Innenteile herausgestanzt. Die hellen Teile - aus dieser Cardstockfarbe habe ich auch die beiden Quersteine unten gestanzt - habe ich mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone und Scorched Timber, den dunklen mit Scorched Timber und Black Soot schattiert. Anschließend habe ich auf alles silberne und schwarze Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt und die beiden Hauptteile mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt.

 

The large gravestone, that can also easily be make shorter to fit onto a regular sized card, covers nearly the whole background.

I die cut the gravestone once from light and once from dark grey cardstock and cut the inner pieces, that also come in the set, from the light grey gravestone. The light pieces - I also cut the two bottom pieces from this color - I inked with Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Scorched Timber, the dark one with Scorched Timber and Black Soot. Then I added fine splatters of silver and black metallic watercolor onto all the parts and put the two main pieces on top of each other using foam tape.

 

Unten auf dem Grab sitzt das Hauptmotiv meiner Karte: ein Skelett, das gemütlich auf einem Schild lehnt, das ein Zombie aus einem Grab hält. Die beiden Sets, die ich verwendet habe, sind vom Stil her eigentlich grundverschieden, aber schon als ich sie das erste Mal sah, wusste ich, dass ich sie genau so kombinieren wollte. 

Das Skelett ist aus dem Set No Bones About It  - die Füße sind ein extra Stempel. Die brauchte das Skelett aber unbedingt - der freie Bereich unter dem Schild sah sonst eigenartig aus.

Das Schild samt Hände und auch der Text darauf sind aus Scream Time. 

Ich habe alle Motive mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

Über dem Skelett war dann noch Platz für einen weiteren Text - nur der auf dem Schild war etwas wenig. Die Texte sind wieder aus No Bones About It und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

At the bottom of the gravestone I placed the main image of my card: a little skeleton, that's leaning on a sign that a zombie is holding out of the grave. The two sets I used  are completly different in style but when I saw them the first time I knew that I wanted to combine them just like I did here.

The skeleton  is from No Bones About It - the foot is an extra stamp. But the skeleton really needed the feet here, the empty area under the sign look strange without them.

The sign and the text on it are from Scream Time.

I colored all images with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.

Above the skeleton's head there was room for another text - just the one on the sign just was't enough. So I white heat embossed those two from No Bones About It onto black cardstock. 

 

 Im Decipit Grave Stanzenset sind auch Stanzen enthalten, mit denen man den Grabstein dekorieren kann. Ich habe die gekreuzten Knochen, den Totenkopf und das RIP aus leicht rötlich-goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt. Totenkopf und Knochen habe ich dann in den oberen, das RIP auf den unteren Teil des Grabsteins geklebt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einige feine Linien auf den Grabstein gemalt, um ihm ein paar Risse zu verpassen.

Und dann habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Bat Reveals Set noch ein paar Fledermäuse gestanzt. Sie sind einfach aus normalem schwarzen Cardstock, die Augen habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelstift aufgetupft.

 

The Decipit Grave set also contains some dies to decorate the gravestone. I die cut the crossed bones, the skull and the RIP from some reddish-gold mirror cardstock. I glued the bones and the skull into the upper, the RIP onto the lower part of the gravestone. I also used a black fineliner to draw some fine wonky lines onto the gravestone to make it look a bit weathered and cracked.

And then I also brought out the Bat Reveals die est to cut some bats. I simply cut them from black cardstock and added eyes using a gold gel pen.

 

 Auch beim Aufkleben der übrigen Teile kam wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz, und zwar sowohl dickes als auch dünnes. Die Fledermäuse habe ich auf der Karte verteilt und dann auf den Hintergrund einige rot-goldene Pailetten geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling im Slimline-Format befestigt.

 

I used foam tape again to adhere all the elements to the gravestone - I used both thin and thick tape here. I picked some nice spots for the bats and added some reddish-gold sequins to the background to decorate it a bit. Then I attached the card panel to a white slimline card base.

Heute habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte mit Cocktail, die absolute Sommerlaune verbreitet. Ich selbst bin ja Ende Dezember geboren und hätte immer gerne im Sommer Geburtstag gehabt. Und genau so, wie die Karte aussieht, stelle ich mir die perfekte Sommer-Geburtstags-Gartenparty vor.... ;)

Today I have a summer birthday card with a cocktail to share, that radiates summer vibes to me. I myself am born end of december and I always wanted my birthday to be in summer. And this card presents, what I imagine the perfect summer-birthday-garden-party... ;) 

 

Hier kam wieder etwas aus dem neusten Release von LawnFawn zum Einsatz: die  Build-a-Drink Margarita Add-On Stanze. Kombiniert habe ich sie dann mit Produkten diverser Firmen.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück Designpapier aus dem ebenfalls neuen Gleeful Gradients Paper Pad von LawnFawn. Die Papiere haben einen tollen Farbverlauf und ich habe mich für einen Bogen, der von Gelb in Grün übergeht, entschieden. Auf ihn habe ich goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

Again I used something from LawnFawn's latest release here: the Build-a-Drik Margarita Add-On die set. I combined it with products from different brands.

The background is made from a piece of patterned paper from the also new Gleeful Gradients paper pad by LawnFawn. Those papers have a beautiful color shift and I went with a sheet, that changes from yellow to green. I splattered some gold metallic watercolor onto it.

 

 Auf einer Geburstagskarte darf natürlich Partyausstattung nicht fehlen. Ich habe hier das Pinwheel Stanzen -und Stencilset von TheGreetery benutzt und gelbe und grüne Rosetten kreiert. Die sind mit Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade und Mustard Seed sowie Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn auf weißen Cardstock gemacht, dann habe ich sie mit einer der Stanzen ausgestanzt. In die Mitten der Rosetten habe ich dann noch jeweils einen kleinen Kreis geklebt. Die habe ich mit Handstanzen aus grünem und goldenem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt.

Aus den selben Metallic-Cardstocks habe ich dann noch drei Girlanden aus dem Twisted Crepe Stanzenset, ebenfalls von TheGreetery, gestanzt und quer über den Hintergrund aufgeklebt.

 

Of course there has to be some party decor on a birthday card. I used the Pinwheel die and stencil set by TheGreetery and created some yellow and green pinwheels. I made those with Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed as well as Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn on white cardstock, then cut them out with one of the dies. In the center of each pinwheel I put a small circle, cut from green and gold metallic cardstock.

From the same metallic cardstock colors I cut three garlands from the Twisted Crepe die set, also by TheGreetery, and glued them across the background.

 

 Für den Cockatil kam, wie schon erwähnt, das Build-a-Drink Margarita Add-On Set zum Einsatz. Auch die Limettenscheibe am Glasrand ist aus diesem Set. Die anderen Elemente wie der Strohhalm, die Eiswürfel und das Cocktailschirmchen sind aus anderen Build-a-Drink Sets. Fragt mich nicht, aus welchen genau - ich habe die alle auf einer großen Magnetplatte und dort sind sie wild durcheinander gewürfelt. 

Das Glas habe ich aus hell-türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Salvaged Patina leicht schattiert. Alle anderen Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann eingefärbt. Die Flüssigkeit im Glas habe ich mit Antique Linen und Shabby Shutters gewischt und dann Wasser aufgesprüht, so dass die Farben schön verlaufen. Die anderen Elemente sind wieder mit Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade und Mustard Seed gemacht. Auf den Strohhalm habe ich mit Mowed Lawn und ein wenig Rustic Wilderness Streifen aufgewischt. Die Eiswürfel sind aus Vellum gestanzt.

Und natürlich braucht so eine Margarita einen Zuckerrand am Glas. Im Set ist eine Stanze dafür vorhanden, ich wollte den Zucker aber komplett um den Glasrand herum. Also habe ich einfach dick Flüssigkleber aufgetragen und dann Rock Candy Distress Glitter aufgestreut. Der Kleber trocknet klar und der Zuckerrand sieht super realistisch aus.

Unten am Glas habe ich noch eine halbe Limette von MFT - wieder aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit den bereits erwähnten Farben gewischt - angebracht und als Deko kleine weiße Blüten angeklebt. Die sind aus dem Zesty Lemon Stanzenset von LawnFawn. 

Hinter dem Cocktail habe ich dann noch Strahlen auf den Hintergrund gewischt - der war mir ein wenig zu langweilig. Ich habe dafür die Focal Point Stencil von Create a Smile und Distress Ink Salvaged Patina benutzt.

 

For the cocktail I used the Build-a-Drink Margarita Add-On, as I said already. Also the lime on the brim of th glass is from this set. The other elements, like the straw, the icecubes and the little cocktail umbrella, are from other Build-a-Drink sets. Don't ask me, which ones exactly - I have them all on one large magnetic sheet and they are not really sorted on it.

I die cut the glass from light aqua cardstock and lightly shaded it with Salvaged Patina. All the other elements I cut from white cardstock and inked them. The liquid in the glass I made with Antique Linen and Shabby Shutters, then sprayed the ink with water so the colors run into each other. To color the other elements I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed again. I inked  some stripes onto the straw with Mowed Lawn and a bit of Rustic Wilderness. The icecubes I cut from vellum. 

And of course a margarita needs a sugared brim. There's a die in the set to cut one from paper, but I wanted it to go all around the brim. So I applied a thick layer of liquid glue and covered it with Rock Candy Distress Glitter. The glue dies clear and the sugar brim looks amazingly realistic.

I added a half of a lime - again cut from white cardstock and inked with the colors already mentioned, using a die by MFT - to the bottom of the glass and also two small white flowers. Those are from Zesty Lemon by LawnFawn.

Behind the cocktail I inked  some rays onto the background - it just was missing something. I used the Focal Point stencil by Create a Smile and Distress Ink Salvaged Patina for it.

 

 Für den Text habe ich die Cheers-Stanze von MFT benutzt und das Wort einmal aus weißem Cardstock und einmal aus grünem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt. Die beiden Teile habe ich leicht versetzt aufeinander- und dann leicht überlappened neben das Glas geklebt. Eine weitere weiße Blume dient als Deko. 

Der Rest des Textes is aus S'More the Merrier und mit Mowed Lawn direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

 

For the text I used the Cheers die by MFT and cut it once from white cardstock and once from green metallic cardstock. I stacked both words a bit offset and then glued them next to the glass, overlapping it slightly. Then I added another small white flower.

The rest of the text is from S'More the Merrier and stamped with Mowed Lawn directly onto the background.

 

 Den Drink samt der angebrachten Deko habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Oben rechts sahen die Rosetten irgendwie nackig aus, also habe ich zwei türkisfarbene Herzen darauf geklebt und noch drei weitere davon auf der Karte verteilt - eine davon in die Mitte der Limettenscheibe am Rand des Glases.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the drink and attached decoration with thin foam tape. 

The pinwheels in the top right corner seemed a bit plain so I glued two turquoise clay hearts on top and then added three more to the card, one of them onto the center of the lime on the glass.

Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Das Thema der SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im August ist "runde Karten". Puh, erst war ich ein wenig überfragt, hatte dann aber doch eine Idee. Und weil die Karte so viel Spaß gemacht hat, habe ich gleich noch eine zweite gewerkelt. Und die zeige ich Euch beide in diesem Post.

The theme of the august SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge is "circle shaped cards". Well, I was a bit at a loss at first because that's not a theme I expected. But then I had an idea, and since making this card was so much fun I made a second one right afterwards. In this post I am sharing both of them with you.

 

 

Das hier war die erste Karte, die ich gemacht habe. Auf der Suche nach etwas rundem, das ich auf eine runde Karte machen könnte, fiel mir "Weltkugel" ein. Na, da habe ich doch was passendes in meinem Stanzenfundus...

Ich habe hier die World Window Stanze von HeroArts genommen und damit meine Weltkugel gestaltet. Ich habe sie einmal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und einmal aus blauem. Wobei das hier nicht ganz stimmt - für die blaue Weltkukgel habe ich eine Platte aus meiner Big Shot entfernt, so dass ich hier die Stanzlinien nur in den Cardstock geprägt hatte. 

Die grünen Landteile habe ich mit Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness und Forest Moss gewischt und anschließend Ground Espresso aufgespritzt. Die blaue Weltkugel habe ich von außen mit Salty Ocean schattiert. 

Ich habe die grünen Land-Teile auf die blaue Weltkugel geklebt und konnte mich dabei an den in den Cardstock geprägten Linien orientieren. Dann habe ich alles rund ausgeschnitten (die Weltkugelstanze stanzt die runde Außenlinien nur entlang des Wassers, nicht aber entlang der Landmassen). 

This is the first card I made. When thinking about something round to put on a circle shaped card I had "earth" in mind. Well, of course I have something in my die stash here...

I used the World Window Die by HeroArts to create my earth.  I cut it once from green and once from blue cardstock, allthough cutting isn't the right term for the second one. I removed one shim from my Big Shot when running the die through with the blue cardstock, so I ended up with just indented lines in the cardstock.

I inked the green land pieces with Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness and Forest Moss and then splattered Ground Espresso on top. The blue water I shaded from the outside in with Salty Ocean.

I glued the green land masses onto the blue earth and was able to use the indented lines in the blue cardstock as a guide where to put which piece. Then I cut everything out in a round shape (the world window die only cuts the outlines around the water but not the land parts). 

 

 Als Motiv habe ich mich für die Maus im Papierflieger aus dem Just Plane Awesome Set von LawnFawn entschieden. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Das Glas der Fliegerbrille habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Den herzförmigen Trail hinter der Maus, der aus dem selben Set ist, habe ich weiß auf Vellum embosst und ebenfalls ausgeschnitten. 

Der Text ist aus dem Set Feel Better von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

 

As the image I picked this mouse in a paper plane from Just Plane Awesome by LawnFawn. I colored her with Copics and cut her out. I put a layer of Glossy Accents onto the glasses she's wearing.

The heart shaped trail behind the mouse, that comes in the same set, I white heat embossed onto vellum and cut it out, too.

The text is from Feel Better by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Auf der Karte habe ich dann einige winzige Wolken verteilt und einige davon mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Das befindet sich auch unter den beiden Textstreifen.

Die Maus samt Trail habe ich dann mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich einige rote Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und so das rot im Schal nochmal aufgegriffen. Und um den Kreis der Karte ein wenig zu unterbrechen, habe ich aus Vellum mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Weather Set von Create a Smile eine Sonne gestanzt und de hinter die Weltkugel geklebt. Ich weiß, eigentlich ist die Sonne gelb, aber ich wollte keine weitere Farbe auf die Karte bringen.

Zum Schluss habe ich dann meinen runden Kartenaufleger auf eine runde weiße Kartenbasis geklebt und auch hiefür wieder dünnes 3D Tape benutzt.

 

I glued a few tiny clouds all over my earth, putting thin foam tape behind a few of them. I also used that to adhere the text strips.

The mouse and trail I adhered with thick foam tape.

I scattered some red hearts over the card, picking up the red in the scarf again. And to break up the circle shape a bit I die cut a sun from vellum, using a die from the Weather die set by Create a Smile. I glued it behind the earth. And yes, I know that the sun is yellow, but I  really din't want to bring in another color. 

As the last step I attached my cound card panel to a round white card base, using thin foam tape again.

 

Und weil ich noch die Materialien der Karte, die ich Euch vorgestern gezeigt habe, auf dem Tisch hatte, habe ich dann auch noch eine maritime runde Karte gemacht - einmal angefangen, fiel mir so viel "Rundes" ein, das perfekt für diese runden Karten wäre. Ein Bullauge war eine dieser Ideen, die ich dann auch hier eingebaut habe:

 

And since I still had the material from the card, that I shared with you  two days ago, on my desek I also made a round maritime card - once I had started thinking about "round stuff" to use on these round cards I had so many ideas. A porthole was one of them and that's what I included in this second card:

 

 

 Hier habe ich für den Hintergrund den Streaming Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp benutzt - diesmal horizontal - und damit einen Kreis aus helltürkis-farbenem Cardstock geprägt. Den habe ich dann von unten her mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner gewischt und weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Das Bullauge habe ich mit einer der Porthole Frames von LawnFawn aus silbernem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und kleine Schrauben aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock auf die Löcher geklebt. Die Schrauben sind mit einer Stanze von MarianneDesign gemacht.

Hinter den Rahmen habe ich dann eine Lage  Folie geklebt. 

 

Here I used the Streaming embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp again to create my background - this time using it  horizontally - and dry embossed a circle cut from light aqua cardstock with it. I inked the circle from the bottom up with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner and splattered white acrylic paint onto it.

I cut the porthole from silver mirror cardstock using one of the Porthole Frames by LawnFawn, then glued small screws onto the holes. I cut those from matte-silver metallic cardstock using a die by MarianneDesign.

Behind the frame I put a layer of acetate. 

 

 Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann wieder Wasserpflanzen geklebt - Korallen aus hellrotem und Seegras aus grünem Cardstock. Die habe ich mit Distress Ink Abandoned Coral und Rustic Wilderness gewischt. 

Hinter den Pflanzen links schwimmt noch ein kleines U-Boot, gemacht ebenfalls aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock mit einer Stanze von Gummiapan. 

Und ganz vorne befindet sich der große Krebs aus Happy Crabs von WaffleFlower. Den habe ich aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgrünen Cardstocks gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Bundled Sage (hintere Lage) sowie Peeled Paint und Forest Moss (obere Lage) gewischt. Auf die oberen, dunkleren Lagen habe ich dann noch etwas Ground Espresso gespritzt. Die Augen habe ich mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen ausgemalt. 

In der rechten Schere hält die Krabbe eine Muschel, die aus dem selben Stanzenset und mit Copics coloriert ist. 

Oben auf das Acetate  habe ich mit weißem StazOn meinen Text aufgestempelt - der Text ist aus Octopi Guys von WhimsyStamps.  Mein StazOn ist recht alt und ich fülle immer eine kleine Stelle nach, wenn ich es benutze, was recht selten vorkommt. Ich habe den Nachfüller wirklich lang sogar mit meinem Vortex-Mixer aufgeschüttelt, aber es scheint so, als ob sich die Farbe irgendwie verfärbt  hätte, fast als wäre sie vergraut. Deswegen ist mein Text nicht weiß, sondern eher beige-bräunlich. 

 

Again I adhered waterplants onto the background - corals cut from light red and kelp cut from green cardstock. I inked those with a bit of Distress Ink Abandoned Coral and Rustic Wilderness.

Behind the plants on the left there's a small submarine, made also from matte silver metallic cardstock using a die by Gummiapan.

And in the front there's the large crab from Happy Crabs by WaffleFlower. I cut it from two different shades of light green cardstock and inked those with Distress Ink Bundled Sage (bottom layer) and Peeled Paint and Forest Moss (top layer). I added fine splatters of Ground Espresso to the top layers, the eyes I covered with a black Glaze pen. 

The crab is holding a seashell in his right scissors. The die for it comes in the same set, I colored the seashell with Copics.

On top of the acetate I stamped my text - it's from Octopi Guys by WhimsyStamps. My white StazOn is pretty old and I only refill a small area when I want to use it, which happens very rarely. I really shaked the refill bottle very well, even using my vortex mixer but it looks like the ink has kind of changed color. So my text doesn't look white but has more of a creamy-brown color.

 

 Die Karte von der Seite zu fotografieren war echt schwierig und das Acetate spiegelt recht. 

Ich habe die einzelnen Lagen mit dünnem 3D Tape aufeinander gesetzt und das Tape hinter dem Rahmen aufgedoppelt.

Zum Schluss habe ich auch diese Karte auf einen runden Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I was pretty hard to take a picture of this card from an angle and the acetate is reflecting the light pretty much.

I glued the layers on the inside onto each other using thin foam tape and doubled up the tape behind the frame.

As the last step I mounted also this card to a white round card base. 

 

Sommer...

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Lasst uns über den Sommer reden - der ist dieses Jahr bis jetzt ja wohl ein Totalausfall. Zuerst dachte ich, das wird. Und es wurde - nämlich noch schlimmer. Zuerst habe ich geschimpft (tue ich immer noch), dann wurde ich wütend, dann resigniert und dann kam eine Eigenschaft von mir hervor, die mir schon als Kind des öfteren zum Verhängnis wurde: Trotz. Und wenn ich frierend mit dicken Klamotten und zwei Decken auf der Couch sitze,  dann hole ich mir den Sommer eben ins Bastelzimmer. Sommer ist schließlich das, was in deinem Kopf passiert, oder so. Und deswegen gibt es heute eine maritime Karte von mir, die mag ich nämlich auch nur im Sommer basteln....

 

Hello everyone!

Let's talk about summer - it has been a total fail this year so far. First I told myself it will change - and it did: it got worse. I grumbled (well, I still do), I got angry, I resigned and then a trait, that put me into trouble quite often when I was a kid, surfaced: defiance. So, when I am sitting on my sofa with warm clothes on, covered by two blankets I am at least bringing summer into my craft room. Because there's a german song that says "summer is what happens in your head". And so I am sharing with you a maritime card, because that's something I only like to do in the summer...

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus dunkel-türkis farbenem Cardstock, in den ich mit dem Streaming Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp Wellen eingeprägt habe. Die äußeren Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt. 

Am unteren Rand habe ich einen Streifen hellbraunen Cardstock als Sand aufgeklebt. Den habe ich mit Frayed Burlap gewischt und dann weiße Acrylfarbe sowie mit Wasser verdünntes Ground Espresso aufgespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece of dark turquoise cardstock, that I embossed waves into using the Streaming embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp. I inked the edges of the cardstock with Distress Ink Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot.

Along the bottom edge I glued  a piece of light brown cardstock as sand. I inked that with Frayed Burlap, then splattered white acrylic paint and some watered down Ground Espresso onto the brown cardstock.  

 

 Hinter dem Sand habe ich dann viele Unterwasserpflanzen angebracht. Ich habe Korallen aus hell-rotem sowie verschiedene andere Pflanzen aus hell-türkisem und grün-blauem Cardstock ausgestanzt und mit farblich passenden Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral, Speckled Egg und Evergreen Bough - etwas gewischt. Die Stanzen, die hier zum Einsatz kamen, sind eine wilde Mischung verschiedener Firmen.

Ich habe die Pflanzen aufgeklebt und dann über Hintergrund und Pflanzen weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Außerdem habe ich mit den Seashells von WaffleFlower noch drei kleine Muscheln ausgestanzt, mit Copic coloriert und vor die Pflanzen geklebt.

 

I added a bunch of water plants behind the sand. I die cut some corals from light red and different other plants from light aqua and green-blue cardstock, then shaded them in matching Distress Inks: Abandoned Coral, Speckled Egg and Evergreen Bough. The dies I used for those plants are a wild mix of all kind of brands.

I glued the plants onto the background and splattered white acrylic paint over everything.

I also die cut some seashells with the Seashells dies by WaffleFlower, colored them with Copics and glued them in front of the plants.

 

 Hauptelement der Karte ist die große Muschel mit Perle. Die ist aus dem Set Seashell Frame von WaffleFlower. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und wollte sie erst mit der passenden Stencil colorieren, habe mich dann aber doch für Copics entschieden. Den vorderen Rand habe ich dabei ein zweites Mal gestanzt und nach dem Colorieren mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Die Perle habe ich aus hellgrünem Perlmuttcardstock gestanzt, ein wenig mit Copics schattiert und dann dick mit Glossy Accents überzogen. 

Das Innere der Muschel habe ich dann mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen beglittert, damit es ein wenig mehr wie Perlmutt aussieht. 

Hinter der Muschel habe ich noch ein paar kleine Teile einer Koralle, die ich diesmal aus helltürkis farbenem Cardstock gestanzt habe, angebracht und alles auf den Sand geklebt.

Und unter der Muschel war dann Platz für einen kleinen Untertext. Der ist aus dem Hey Lady Set von LawnFawn und weiß auf einen Streifen Vellum embosst.

 

Main element on my card is the large seashell with the pearl. It's from Seashell Frame by WaffleFlower. I die cut it from white cadstock and wanted to color it with the matching coloring stencil, but then decided to go with Copics instead. I die cut the lower edge again and adhered it with thin foam tape to the whole seashell.

The pearl I cut from light green pearlescent cardstock, shaded it with Copics and then covered it with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.

The inside of the seashell I covered with a clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen, to make it look a bit like mother of pearl. 

I glued some small coral pieces, this time cut from light aqua cardstock,  behind the seashell and glued both onto the sand layer.

Under the seashell there was room for a small sub sentiment. It's from Hey Lady by LawnFawn and white heat embossed onto a strip of vellum.

 

 Der Text auf meiner Karte ist aus dem Treasure Hunt Stempelset von WaffleFlower und wieder weiß auf Velllum embosst.

Darunter habe ich noch ein "friend" angebracht. Das ist aus dem Set Overlapping Hugs Additions Stempelset, das ich weiß auf eni Stück des grünen Perlmuttcardstocks, den ich auch für die Perle verwendet habe, embosst und dann mit der passenden Stanze ausgestanzt habe.

Under it I adhered a "friend". It's from Overlapping Hugs Additons. I white heat embossed it onto a piece of the light green pearlescent cardstock I had also used for the pearl, then cut it out with the matching die.

 

 Der Sand ist mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, hinter den oberen Teil der Muschel habe ich dickes 3D Tape gesetzt, so dass sich dieser ein wenig nach vorne biegt.

Als Deko habe ich einige klare Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt, die wie Luftblasen aussehen, dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the sand with thin foam tape and put a strip of thick foam tape behind the top of the seashell, so this part bends a bit upwards.

I added some clear sequins, that look like bubbles, as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Akku leer?

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Am Freitag gab es ein neues Release von Create a Smile und das Stempelset Akku Laden hatte es mir sofort angetan. Und weil die Bestellung gewohnt schnell da war - ich möchte wirklich wissen, welchen Deal Christine da mit der Post hat! - habe ich mich gestern Abend hingesetzt und ein schnelles Kärtchen damit gewerkelt. Ich kenne da nämlich jemanden, der öfter mal jammer, dass der Akku leer ist. Und beim nächsten Mal bekommt er dann diese Karte zusammen mit einem Schokoriegel vor die Nase gesetzt....

 

Hello everyone!

Friday there was a new release by Create a Smile and the stamp set Akku Laden was a must have to me. And since my order arrived as quickly as usual - and I really would love to know what kind of deal they have with the post office! - I  sat down yesterday evening and made this quick card with the set. I know someone, who likes to say that his battery is on low and the next time I will give him this card and some chocolate...

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mit einem Embossingfolder von Crafters Companion Strahlen in ein Stück hellgrauen Cardstocks geprägt. Dann habe ich ihn mit Distress Ink Pumice Stone, Scorched Timber und Black Soot gewischt. Und weil mir die Strahlen dann fast ein wenig zu wenig gut sichtbar waren, habe ich die erhabenen Strahlen mit einem Sanding Block bearbeitet und dabei den hellgrauen Cardstock teilweise wieder freigelegt. 

Auf den Cardstock habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

For the background I used an embossing folder by Crafters Companion to emboss rays into a piece of light grey cardstock. I inked the cardstock with Distress Ink Pumice Stone, Scorched Timber and Black Soot - and found, that the rays were a bit too much blended together. So I used a sanding block on the raised rays, revealing the light grey cardstock again partially. 

I splattered white acrylic paint onto the cardstock.

 

 Hier seht Ihr den großen Akku aus dem bereits erwähnten Stempelset. Die Ladebalken kann man - einzeln oder zusammen - selbst hineinstempeln. Ich habe die Batterie füllend auf das Display eines Handy gesetzt.

Das Handy ist mit dem Selfie Frames Set von LawnFawn gemacht. Das Handy selbst habe ich aus weißem Perlmutt-Cardstock gestanzt, den Home Button aus schwarzem Spiegelcardstock. Hinter das Fenster  habe ich Acetate geklebt und dahinter dann das Display mit der Batterie. Außerdem habe ich das komplette Handy noch mit einer Lage aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock hinterlegt, von dem nur ein schmaler Rand sichtbar ist.

Das Display habe ich aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf die Batterie geklebt. Den Umriss und den untersten Ladebalken habe ich weiß auf mittelgrauen Cardstock embosst und  alles entlang der Stempellinien ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich die restlichen Ladebalken mit Versamark aufgestempelt, so das sie dunkler wirken. Zum Schluss habe ich noch den Blitz weiß auf roten Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und alles auf den Cardstock des Displays geklebt.

Auch die Texte sind aus dem Stempelset und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dabei habe ich dann das Wort Pause nicht mit abgestempelt sondern mit gestanzten Buchstaben geschrieben. Ich habe die Buchstaben aus rotem Cardstock, die Schattenlage aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dafür das Set Lemon Alphas, ebenfalls von Create a Smile, benutzt. Die roten Buchstaben und auch das Handy habe ich ganz leicht mit Copics schattiert.

 

Here you can see the large battery from the set I already mentioned. The bars can be stamped inside - either individual ones or filling the whole battery with one stamp. I put the battery onto the display of a cellphone, filling it up completly with it.

The cellphone is made using the Selfie Frames by LawnFawn. I cut the cellphone from white pearlescent cardstock, the home button from black mirror cardstock. Behind the window I put some acetate and then the display with the battery. I also put a layer of matte silver metallic cardstock behind the cellphone, cutting it so that only a small frame is visible. 

The display I made from dark grey cardstock and glued the battery onto it. I white heat embossed the outlines of the battery and the bottom bar onto some middle grey cardstock and cut it out along the stamped lines. Then I stamped the other bars into the battery using Versamark, so they appear darker. I also white heat embossed the flash onto red cardstock, cut it out and glued everything onto the display.

Also the texts on this card are from this stamp set, it means "battery low - take a break". I white heat embossed the texts onto black cardstock and replaced the word break with die cut letters. I cut the letters from red, the shadow from white cardstock using the Lemon Alphas by Create a Smile. The red letteres and also the cellphone I shaded lightly with Copics.

 

 Das Handy habe ich mit dünnem, die Texte mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und als Deko einige rote Pailetten hinzugefügt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the cellphone with thin, the texts with thick foam tape and added some red sequins as decoration.  I also drew a thin frame with a black fineliner.

Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.

 

Ready for Halloween?

Heute starten wir gemeinsam die Gruselsaison - und weil es an Halloween ja bekanntlich um Tricks oder Treats geht, habt Ihr die Möglichkeit, etwas zu gewinnen. Im IG-Post jedes Halloweener-Teams ist ein Wort versteckt - die Links findet Ihr im entsprechenden Post in der WhimsyStamps Inspiration Gruppe auf FB. Sammelt die Wörter und setzt sie zum gesuchten Satz zusammen. Eure Antwort schickt Ihr dann per PM an Wendy. Das ist wichtig, kommentiert sie nicht unter einem unserer Beiträge! Hello everyone!

We are starting the spooky season together today - and since it's all about tricks or treats on Halloween you have the chance to win a surprise  gift. There's a secret word hidden in each of the Halloweeners team's IG posts - the links to all those IG posts can be found in the designated post over in the WhimsyStamps Inspiration group over on FB. Collect those words and put them together to find the sentence, then pm Wendy your answer. That's important, don't put it in the comments to not spoil the fun for everyone else! And here's my first card: 

 

 Und ich konnte nicht anders, als für meine erste Karte gleich in die Vollen zu gehen... 

 

And I just couldn't resist and went all spooky with this card...

 

 Im Hintergrund befindet sich hier ein Stück dunkelgrünen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness und Black Soot von außen her noch weiter abgedunkelt habe. So kommt all die grüne Deko darauf besser zur Geltung - so wie der Drippy Frame. Den habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Copics schattiert. 

Aus Vellum habe ich ein komplettes Spinnennetz sowie zwei weitere Teilstücke aus dem Spiders and Webs Set gestanzt. Ein Teilstück habe ich links unten auf den Cardstock geklebt, das komplette Netz mit 3D Tape hinter den Ausschnitt im Drippy Frame. Das letzte Teilstück habe ich dann später oben links auf dem Rahmen befestigt. 

 

In the background there's a piece of dark green cardstock, that I darkened from the edges in using Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot. This dark background makes all the green elements on top pop out eve more - like the Drippy Frame. I die cut that from light green cardstock and shaded it with Copics.

I die cut one whole spiderweb and two more partial ones from Vellum using the Spiders and Webs die set. I adhered one piece in the bottom left corner of the background, the complete web I adhered behind the Drippy Frame using foam tape. The last piece I glued in the top left on top of the frame later. 

 

 Hauptmotiv meiner Karte ist die Mumie aus dem Set Monster Close Ups. Die sind in einer Art Rahmen gestaltet, die geraden Kanten hätten sich aber mit dem Drippy Frame gebissen. Also habe ich mit dem Cutter ein Fenster in den dunkelgrünen Cardstock geschnitten und das Motiv - wieder mit 3D Tape - dahinter befestigt.

Auch die Mumie ist mit Copics coloriert, die Highlights sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Die Augen habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen, so leuchten sie zwischen all dem Grün noch mehr heraus. 

 

Main image on my card is the mummy from Monster Close Ups. Those images are put in some kind of frame, but the straight edges looked strange with the wonky Drippy Frame.  So I used my paper cutter to cut a window into the dark green background and put the image behind it, again using foam tape.

Also the mummy is colored with Copics, for the highlights I used a white gel pen. I put Glossy Accents onto the eyes, this makes them stand out even more from all the green around them.

 

 Oben rechts auf dem Rahmen habe ich ein großes EEK! aufgeklebt. Hierfür habe ich das Eek Word and Shadow Set benutzt - die Schattenlage ist aus Vellum, die Buchstaben aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Die Buchstaben habe ich mit Copics wieder schattiert, habe aber etwas andere Farbtöne als für den Rahmen benutzt. Bevor ich die Buchstaben dann auf das Vellum geklebt habe, habe ich sie mit drei Lagen aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt.

 

Onto the top right of the frame I glued a large EEK!. I used the Eek Word and Shadow set here - the shadow layer I cut from vellum, the letters from green cardstock. Then I shaded the letters with Copics again, using slightly different tones than I had used on the frame. Before glueing the letters onto the vellum I backed each with three layers cut from black cardstock.

 

 Unten rechts auf der Karte befindet sich dann eine große Spinne, ebenfalls aus dem Set Spiders and Webs. Ich habe drei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt und obenauf dann eine Lage aus schwarzem Spiegel-Cardstock gesetzt. Damit die Spinne für mein Design in die richtige Richtung schaut, habe ich die Stanzteile aufs Gesicht gedreht. Und weil die dunkle Spinne auf dem dunklen Hintergrund fast untergegangen wäre, habe ich eine weitere Lage aus weißem Cardstock leicht versetzt dahinter geklebt.

Wieder aus dem Set Monster Close Ups ist das kleine "it's alive", das ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst  habe. Ich bin mir ja selbst nicht ganz sicher, ob die Texte auf der Karte auf die Mumie bezogen sind, oder ob sie die Reaktion der Mumie auf die Spinne ist... Ja, auch Mumien fürchten sich! 

 

In the bottom right corner of my card I placed a large spider, again from the Spiders and Webs set. I stacked three layers of black cardstock and put a layer cut from black mirror cardstock on top. To make the spider look the right direction for my card design, I put the die cuts face down. And since the dark spider nearly got lost on the dark background I die cut another one from white cardstock and glued it behind the black one a bit offset. 

Again from Monster Close Ups is the small "it's alive" text, that I white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I am not sure myself if the texts on this card are a reaction to the mummy or if they are the mummy's reaction to the spider... Yes, mummys are afraid of spiders!

 

 Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte kam 3D Tape rund um die Mumie, hinter dem Rahmen und auch hinter der Spinne und dem embossten Text zum Einsatz.

Als Deko habe ich einige Stellen des Drippy Frames und den Körper der Spinne mit grünen Stickles beglittert und außerdem einige giftgrüne Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I used foam tape around the mummy, behind the frame and also behind the spider and the embossed text.

I used green Stickles to glitter up a few areas of the Drippy Frame and the spider's body and also added some bright green Enamel Dots to the card.

As the last step I attached the card panel to a white note card.
