Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Von Spellbinders gibt es dieses Jahr die "13 Days of Craftoween" Box und seit letzter Woche gibt es offizielle Videos. Und die haben mich inspiriert, meinen Kalender auch zu benutzen - geöffnet hatte ich ihn schon. ;)
Momentan ist nur so viel anderes, dass ich einfach nicht hinterher gekommen bin. Und dann kam mir die Idee, mit dem Inhalt jedes Tages - und nur dem - ein eigenes kleines Kärtchen zu werkeln. Ich kann ja mit ATC oder MDC nicht wirklich was anfangen und fand schon als Kind Sammelkarten doof. Die Artist Trading Card von MamaElephant musste ich trotzdem haben. Und hier war sie die perfekte Basis. Die kleinen Kärtchen werde ich dann als Deko auf Halloweentütchen packen.
Heute zeige ich Euch die ersten vier Mini-Karten:

This year Spellbinders came out with the "13 days of Craftoween" box and they started revealing the content last week. That inspired me to use my calendar as well - and I admit that I had already opened it as soon as I got it. ;)
There's so much going on at the moment and I didn't have the time make a card daily. So I had the idea of making a small card with the content of each day - and only that. I am not one who's into ATCs or MDCs and even as a kid I didn't like trading cards. But of course I had to have the Artist Trading Card die by MamaElephant. And this was the perfect base here. I will use those little cards as decoration of Halloween treat bags.
Today I am sharing my first 4 cards:
In Tag 1 war ein süßer Vampir enthalten. Außerdem gab es in der Box noch ein Stempelset mit passenden Texten und eine Tüte Pailetten in schwarz, orange und lila.
Hier habe ich den Hintergrund aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Lumberjack Plaid und Black Soot gewischt. Dann habe ich nur auf den mittleren Bereich silberne Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.
Den Vampir habe ich aus hellblauem Cardstock für das Gesicht, schwarz für die Basis und das Shirt. Die Basis habe ich außerdem einmal aus rotem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. Von diesem Stanzteil habe ich Kopf und Beine weggeschnitten, so dass die Innenseite des Umhangs schön glitzert.
Ich habe die Stanzteile ein wenig mit Polychromos schattiert und Kreide für die roten Backen benutzt.
In den schmalen Bereich oben auf der Karte habe ich ein "Stay Spooky" mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Den Stempel habe ich dann in meinem Misti gelassen und auf jede Karte, auf der es vom Motiv her passte, den Text dort aufgestempelt.
Im Bereich ganz unten habe ich dann einen weiteren Text aus dem in der Box enthaltenen Stempelset weiß aufembosst. Zu jedem Motiv gibt es einen Text, meistens habe ich mich an den Vorschlag gehalten.
Und weil ich nicht so recht wusste, was ich in die kleine Box oben rechts auf dem Kärtchen kleben sollte, habe ich hier einfach zwei kleine Wackelaugen aufgeklebt. Gehen an Halloween doch immer, oder?
The die set of day 1 was this cute vampire. The box also comes with a stamp set and a bag of black, orange and purple sequins.
Here I die cut the background from light grey cardstock and inked it with Distress Ink Lumberjack Plaid and Black Soot. Then I splattered silver metallic watercolor only onto the center area of the little card.
I used light blue for the vampire's face, black for the base and the shirt. I also die cut the base once from red glitter cardstock. I cut off the head and legs from this glitter base so only the inside of the cape is glittery.
I lightly shaded the pieces with Polychromos and added some red cheeks with chalk.
Into the thin frame at the top of the card I stamped a "stay spooky" with black ink. I left the stamp in my Misti and added the text to each card, at least when the image didn't cover it.
In the frame at the very bottom I white heat embossed one of the texts from the stamp set, that comes in the box. There's one text for each day and most of the times I went with what they suggested.
And since I didn't know what I wanted to put into the small box at the top right I simply glued two small googly eyes into/onto it. Those are always great for Halloween, right?
Den Rahmen für dieses Kärtchen habe ich aus schwarzem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt, der glänzt so toll.
Ich habe den Vampir mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt und dann noch ein paar silberne Sternchen als Deko auf der Karte verteilt.
I die cut the frame of this card from black glossy cardstock because I thought, it goes great with a vampire image.
I adhered the vampire with foam tape and then added a few silver star confetti as decoration.
An Tag 2 wurde es etwas gruseliger: es gab eine Totenschädel mit Krähe. Die ist mit Zylinder, Fliege und Monokel ausgestattet.
Meine Kärtchen ähneln sich natürlich alle etwas, aber ich finde das eigentlich ganz schön - man erkennt, dass es eine Art Serie ist. Deswegen erwähne ich Schritte wie das Schattieren der Motive mit Polychromos, die ich bei jedem Motiv gemacht habe, nicht bei jedem Kärtchen.
Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus hell-lila Cardstock, den ich mit Villainous Potion und Black Soot gewischt habe. Auch hier habe ich wieder silberne Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.
Den Körper des Raben habe ich aus dem schwarzen Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt, die Fliege und das Band am Hut aus lila, den Totenkopf aus weißem Glitter-Cardstock.
Bei dieser Karte bin ich etwas fremdgegangen - ich habe den Mond aus dem Spooky Forest Backdrop von LawnFawn mit drauf geschummelt. Aber die Karte brauchte oben links noch etwas, der kleine Text passte hier nicht, da der Rabe auf dem Totenschädel zu hoch war.
Auf meinem Schreibtisch hatte ich noch etwas Vellum liegen - das habe ich einfach in unregelmäßige Streifen gerissen und die als Nebelschwaden hinter den Raben gesetzt.
An Text war hier nur Platz für ein Boo!, das ich wieder weiß in das Feld am unteren Rand der Karte embosst habe.
The content of day 2 is a bit more spooky: we get a skull with a crow. The crow is dressed up with a top hat, a bow tie and a monocle.
Of course all my cards are similar, and I really like that because it shows that this is some kind of series. But I am not going to mention steps like shading the images with Polychromos, that I did on each of my cards, every time.
Here I made the background from light purple cardstock that I inked with Villaoinous Potion and Black Soot, then flicked silver metallic watercolor onto the center area.
I die cut the crow's body from black glossy cardstock, the bow tie and band on the hat from purple, the skull from white glitter cardstock.
Here I had to add an element from a different brand - the moon from Spooky Forest Backdrop by LawnFawn. My card needed something in the top left, the small text didn't work here because the crow on the skull was too tall.
I had some small pieces of vellum laying on my desk - I simply tore that into uneven strips and glued down a few as fog.
Here I only had room for a little Boo!, that I white heat embossed into the frame at the bottom of the card.
Der Rahmen ist hier aus normalem schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, wieder kamen kleine silberne Sterne als Deko zum Einsatz. Und die Krempe des Huts habe ich extra von einem weiteren ausgestanzten Hut abgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf den kompletten Hut geklebt.
I die cut the frame from regular black cardstock and used small silver star confetti as decoration again. I cut off the bottom of the hat from another black die cut and adhered that with foam tape for some dimension.
Das Set im Tütchen Nr. 3 habe ich dann erstmal ausgelassen. Nicht, weil mir die Giftflasche nicht gefällt. Sie ist einfach zu groß für diese kleinen Kärtchen. Da das nicht das einzige Set, werde ich damit eine reguläre Karte machen und dabei evtl. ein oder zwei weitere der großen Sets integrieren. Ich habe da schon eine Idee, nur die Zeit fehlt mir gerade.
Deswegen machen wir jetzt mit dem Inhalt von Tag #4 weiter:
The set of day 3 I had to skip. Not because I don't like the potion bottle. It's simply too tall for these small cards. It's not the only taller image so I am going to make a regular card with it, maybe combining two or more of those larger images on it. I already have an idea but hadn't had the time to turn it into a card yet.
So I am going on with the die set of day #4:
Der kleine Geist ist einfach zu süß! Ich habe ihn aus weißem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt, den Schatten aus helltürkis-farbenem Cardstock. Und ich fand es einen lustige Idee, den Kürbis auf den Kopf des Geistes zu setzen.
Der Hintergrund hier besteht aus helltürkis-farbenem Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt habe. Diesmal habe ich dann orange-goldene Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt, das passt super zum Orange des Banners und des Kürbisses.
Auf dieser Karte wiederholen sich einige Elemente bereits: die Nebelschwaden aus Vellum, die kleinen Sterne, diesmal in türkis, und auch das "stay spooky" im schmalen Rahmen oben. Das habe ich diesmal mit schwarzer Tinte gestempelt.
Den Text im großen Rahmen unten habe ich weiß aufembosst.
This little ghost is just too cute! I die cut it from white glitter cardstock, the shadow layer from light aqua cardstock. And I thought it a fun idea to place the Jack o' Lantern on the ghost's head.
The background is made from light aqua cardstock, that I inked with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. Here I added splatters of orange-gold metallic watercolor, it goes great with the orange of the banner and pumpkin.
On this card I am already repeating a few elements: the fog made from vellum, the small star sequins - this time from turquoise stars - and also the "stay spooky" in the small frame at the top. This time I stamped that with black ink.
The text in the large frame I white heat embossed.
Den Rahmen habe ich für diese Kärtchen aus türkisfarbenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt.
On this card I used turquoise mirror cardstock to cut the frame from.
Und auf der letzten Karten für heute befindet sich diese süße Spinne.
Hier habe ich ein Stück Designpapier von Magnolia für den Hintergrund benutzt, das Spinnennetze und Fledermäuse in schwarz auf lila aufgedruckt hat. Ich habe einen Bereich mit Spinnennetz gewählt, bei dem ich die Fledermäuse einigermaßen gut verdecken konnte. Die obere linke und untere rechte Ecke habe ich mit Black Soot abgedunkelt.
Der Körper der Spinne ist aus grün-braunem, der Hut aus lilafarbenem Cardstock. Und das Hutband habe ich aus silbernem Glitter-Cardstock gestanzt. Ich finde diese Spinne mit ihren vielen Augen einfach klasse! Die Lage mit den schwarzen Kreisen für die Augen habe ich wieder aus schwarzem Glossy-Cardstock gestanzt.
Auch hier habe ich die Krempe des Huts noch ein weiteres Mal ausgestanzt und mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Außerdem habe ich einen dünnen silberner Faden von der Spinne nach oben zum Rand der Kante gespannt.
Ich habe weiße Acrylfarbe auf den mittleren Bereich aufgespritzt und die Texte in den beiden Rahmen weiß aufembosst, in die kleine Box oben rechts auf der Karte habe ich wieder zwei Wackelaugen geklebt.
And on the last card for today there is this cute spider.
I used a piece of patterned paper by Magnolia here as the background. It has spiderwebs and bats printed black onto purple cardstock. I picked an area with a spiderweb where I could hide the bats pretty well. I inked the top left and bottom right corner of the paper with Black Soot.
The spider's body is cut from greenish-brown, the hat from light purple cardstock. The band on the hat I cut from silver glitter cardstock. I love this spider with her many eyes! I die cut the layer with the black of the eyes from black glossy cardstock again.
And again I die cut the bottom of the hat again and adhered it with foam tape. There's also a piece of thin silver thread attached behind the spider, the other end I folded over the top edge of the card.
I splattered white acrylic paint onto the center of the background and white heat embossed both texts into the frames. In the small box at the top right I glued down two googly eyes again.
Für den Rahmen habe ich hier silbernen Holografik-Cardstock benutzt. Die Deko besteht aus einem lilafarbenen Herz am Hut der Spinne und einigen der lilafarbenen Pailetten, die ebenfalls in der Box enthalten sind.
For the frame I used silver holographic cardstock here. The decoration is made from a purple heart at the spider's hat and some of the purple sequins, that come in the box.
