Achtung, es wird wieder gruselig! Naja, so richtig furchteinflößend sind die kleinen Gnome nicht, auch wenn sie sich noch so viel Mühe geben....

Caution, this is another spooky post! Not really, those little gnomes aren't as scary as they think they are, no matter how hard they try...
Diese Karte war eigentlich anderes geplant, aber der Hintergrund, den ich für die Gnome gemacht habe, hat mir dazu so gar nicht gefallen. Den bekommt Ihr dann wahrscheinlich demnächst auf einer anderen Karte zu sehen. Für diese Karte habe ich ganz kurzentschlossen einen neuen gemacht.
Der besteht aus rotem Cardstock, den ich von außenher mit Distress Ink Scorched Timber und Black Soot gewischt habe. Dann habe ich die Nested Webs aus dem Cardstock gestanzt.
I had planned this card completly different, but the background I had made for those gnomes was just too busy for them. So I guess you'll see that on a future card. For the gnomes I just went ahead and made a different one.
I made it from red cardstock, that I inked from the outside in with Distress Ink Scorched Timber and Black Soot. Then I cut the Nested Webs from it.
Ich hatte die Stanzen noch nicht voneinander getrennt, deswegen habe ich beim Ausstanzen verschieden große Spinnennetz-Ringe erhalten. Zwei davon habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf ein Stück dunkelgrünen Cardstock geklebt. Den Cardstock hatte ich vorher ganz leicht mit Black Soot schattiert. Auf den Bildern sieht er fast schwarz aus, in Wirklichkeit kann man das Grün viel besser erkennen.
Um aus den Ringen nun ein Spinnennetz zu machen, habe ich auf der Rückseite des großen Cardstockstücks Stücke von weißem Twine zwischen den Spitzen der Ausstanzung gespannt und dieses Cardstockstück dann mit dickem 3D Tape auf den dunkelgrünen Cardstock geklebt. Nun schweben die Schnüre über den roten Ringen.
In der Mitte des Spinnennetzes hat sich ein "Poof" verfangen. Das habe ich mit dem Poof Word Stanzenset aus hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Und die Sterne, die ebenfalls im Set enthalten sind, habe ich aus champagnerfarbenem Glitzercardstock gestanzt.
Vom Poof aus wegfliegend habe ich dann noch ein paar Fledermäuse aufgeklebt, so als hätte man sie gerade hergezaubert. Die sind mit Stanzen aus dem Bat Revealers Set gemacht. Ich habe jeweils eine Fledermaus aus hellgrauem Cardstock und eine aus champagnerfarbenem Glittercardstock etwas versetzt aufeinander geklebt und Augen mit einem schwarzen Glaze-Pen aufgemalt.
Am oberen Rand der Karte war dann Platz für ein wenig Text. Ich habe die zweitkleinste der Nested Webs - dafür habe ich sie dann auch voneinander getrennt - aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und zwei Texte aus dem selben Set, in dem auch die Gnome enthalten sind, mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. Dann habe ich die "Blasen" auf den Hintergrund geklebt und die überstehenden Teile abgeschnitten.
I hadn't cut apart the dies yet, so when I cut out the spiderwebs I ended up with several rings. I adhered two of them onto a piece of dark green cardstock using thin foam tape. The green cardstock I had inked lightly with Black Soot. I looks nearly black on the pictures, but in real life the dark green is visible a lot better.
To turn those rings into a spiderweb I glued pieces of white twine onto the back of the large red cardstock background, connecting two opposite ends of the cut out with each piece of twine. Then I glued the cardstock onto the dark green piece with the rings, using thick foam tape here. Now the twine is floating above the red rings.
A "poof" got trapped in the center of the spiderweeb. I die cut that from light green cardstock using the Poof Word die set, then shaded it with Copics. And the stars, that come in the same set, I cut from champagne colored glitter cardstock.
I let some bats fly off of the card, just like someone just made them appear with that "poof". I used the Bat Reveals die set to cut the bats from both light grey cardstock and champagne glitter cardstock, then glueing one of each onto each other a bit offset. Then I added eyes with a black Glaze pen.
Along the top edge of the card I had room for a bit of a text. I cut the second smallest of the Nested Webs from light grey cardstock, and of course cut the dies apart to do so. Then I stamped two texts that come with the gnomes with black ink onto those "bubbles". I adhered them to the background and cut off any overhang.
Erwähnt habe ich sie im Post ja schon öfter, hier könnt Ihr sie endlich in voller Pracht sehen: die Halloween-Gnome aus dem Set GnomeOWeen. Die sind aus dem August-Release von WhimsyStamps und somit brandneu. Ich habe sie mit Copics coloriert und mit der Schere ausgeschnitten.
Beim Colorieren war grün ja wegen des Frankenstein-Gnoms und rot wegen des Blutes im Glas des Vampir-Gnoms vorgegeben. Somit stand auch das Farbkonzept meiner Karte, das vielleicht nicht ungedingt klassisch Halloween ist, aber ich finde, es passt perfekt.
Das Wein- äh, Blutglas und die Zaubertrankflasche habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen, der Dreizack und die Schrauben an Frankensteins Kopf sind metallisch beglittert.
I have mentioned them several times in this post, now you finally get a good look at them: the Halloween gnomes from GnomeOWeen. They are from the august release by WhimsyStamps and that means, they are brandnew. I colored them with Copics and cut them out with my scissors.
For my coloring green was a give because of the Frankenstein gnome and red because of the blood in the glass of the vampire gnome. With just those two elements the color scheme for my card was set. It may not be a classic Halloween combo but it's just perfect here.
I covered the wine - em, blood glass and the potion bottle with Glossy Accents and put some metallic shimmer onto the trident and the screws in Frankenstein's head.
Auch die Gnome sind wieder mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt und bilden den höchsten Punkt meiner Karte. Auf weitere Deko habe ich verzichtet und nur mit einem Glitter-Gelstift einen feinen Rahmen auf den roten Cardstock gemalt.
Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Again I used foam tape to adhere the gnomes, they are the most raised images on my card.
I drew a thin frame with a glitter gel pen all around the red cardstock and decided against any further decoration.
Then I attached the card panel to a white note card.
