Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich schon ein paar Tage lang keine maritime Karte mehr gezeigt hahe - das ändere ich mit diesem Post!

I realized  that I  haven't shared with you an ocean themed card since a few days - I am changing that with this post!

 

Auf dieser Karte habe ich einfach alles an Marken wild durcheinander gemixt - so lange, bis mir die  Szene gefallen hat.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus hellblauem Cardstock, den ich etwa ab  der Hälfte aufwärts mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean gewischt habe. 

Darauf habe ich dann zwei Lagen Wellen geklebt: eine aus grün-grauem Cardstock, eine aus Vellum. Die oberen Kanten habe ich jeweils mit Wellenstanzen von MFT ausgestanzt. 

Den grünen Cardstock habe ich mit Faded Jeans und Evergreen Bough, die Rückseite des Vellums mit Peacock Feathers eingefärbt, dabei aber jeweils ein Stück der Originalfarbe sichtbar gelassen. 

Zwischen die beiden Wellen-Lagen habe ich dann noch drei Holzboller gesetzt. Die sind aus dem Set Layering Pelicans von ScrappyTails. Ich habe die Boller per Partial Diecutting so ausgestanzt, dass die untere Kante nicht gestanzt wird und alles dann mit der Schere verlängert, so dass die Boller auch wirklich den unteren Rand meiner Karte erreichen. Das Holzmuster habe ich mit Ohuhu Markern und einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt.

 

On this card I did a wild mix  of brands - adding stuff until I liked the scene.

The background is made from light blue cardstock, that I inked from about the center upwards with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. 

 On top of that I put two layers of waves: eine cut from grey-ish green cardstock, one cut from vellum. To cut the waves along the top edge I used wave border dies by MFT. 

I inked the grey-ish green cardstock with Faded Jeans and Evergreen Bough, the back of the vellum with Peacock Feathers, making sure a portion of the original color is still visible at the top.

Between the two layers of waves  I put some wooden logs. Those are from the Layering Pelicans by ScrappyTails. I did some partial diecutting to not cut the bottom edge, then cut the rest with my scissors to make sure those reach the bottom of my card. I added the wooden pattern with Ohuhu markers and a white gel pen.

 

Zwischen und auf die beiden Wellenlagen habe ich dann Seegras, gemacht mit Stanzen von WaffleFlower und Action, gesetzt. Das habe ich mit Peeled Paint und Forest Moss gewischt. Außerdem habe ich auf die Cardstock-Lage mit Verafine Clair Very Peri einige Fisch-Silhouetten von WaffleFlower aufgestempelt. Die sieht man nur durch das Vellum so gut wie gar nicht mehr. 

Die Fische sind von WaffleFlower und HeroArts. Ich habe sie aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon, Broken China und Abandoned Coral scahttiert. 

Ich habe die Fische auf das Vellum geklebt und dann den Kleber, mit dem ich das Vellum befestigt habe, hinter den Fischen versteckt. 

Hinter die Seile, die um die Holzstämme gewickelt sind, habe ich noch einen Seestern gesetzt, der wieder aus dem Layering Pelicans Set ist. Den habe ich mit Abandoned Coral schattiert. 

 

Between and onto the waves layers I added some sea grass, made using dies by WaffleFlower and Action. I inked them with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I also stamped some fish silhouettes by WaffleFlower onto the cardstock layer using Versafine Clair Very Peri, but those are hardly visible anymore through the vellum.  

The fish are made using dies by WaffleFlower and HeroArts. I cut them from colored cardstock, then shaded them with Prize Ribbon, Broken China and Abandoned Coral.

I glued the fish onto the vellum and then hid the glue to adhere the vellum onto the cardstock behind the fish. 

Behind the ropes, that hold the wood logs together, I tucked a star fish, that's again from the Layering Pelicans set. I shaded it with some Abandoned Coral.  

 

Auf die Holzstämme habe ich dann grünes Moos gesetzt. Das wird bei den Stanzen eingestanzt, ich habe sie einfach nochmal aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, diese Teile herausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt.

Oben auf den Stämmen steht eine kleine Möwe, die versucht, sich ihr Abendessen zu fangen. Die Möwe ist aus einem der Club Kits von Spellbinders von letztem Jahr. Ich habe nur die Möwe mit Alcohol Markern schattiert, die anderen Elemente habe ich wieder mit Distress Inks schattiert. 

Das Netz ist aus dem Set Twinkle Twinkle von MFT - und eigentlich hält es ein Bär. Es zeigt dabei auch in die andere Richtung. Also habe ich das Netz einmal mit dem Mirror Image von MFT gespiegelt und auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Hiervon habe ich nur die Holzteile übernommen. Außerdem habe ich das Netz auch noch einmal mit schwarzem StazOn auf Acetate gestempelt. Das konnte ich dann einfach umdrehen, so dass sich das Motiv auf der Rückseite befindet. Die Holzteile habe ich entlang der gestempelten Linien ausgeschnitten und auf das Acetate geklebt. So kann man durch das Netz hindurchsehen. ;)

Der Text auf der  Karte ist mit Stempeln von LawnFawn gemacht: das Wort "fish" mit Buchstaben aus dem Henry Jr.'s ABCs, der kleine Texte darunter mit diversen Henry's Build a Sentiment Sets. Dabei musste ich ein wenig kreativ werden - für das Wort "here" z. B. habe ich den mittleren Teil des Wortes "there's" benutzt. Die Texte sind mit Versafine Clair Twighlight direkt auf den Hintergrund gestemmpelt. Mit einem dünnen weißen Gelstift habe ich rechts und oben ein Highlight neben die Buchstaben gemalt. Ich fand den Text einfach toll zu der Szene. 

Außerdem habe ich auf dem Himmel noch einige Wolken verteilt, die mit den Puffy Clouds von MFT gemacht sind - meine absoluten Lieblings-Wolken. 

 

I added some moss to the wood logs. When die cutting them, the lines for these get cut into the cardstock. I simply cut them again from green cardstock, cut those areas out and glued them onto the brown pieces. 

On top of those logs there's a seagull, that's trying to catch his dinner.  The seagull is from one of last year's club kits.  I only shaded the bird with Ohuhu markers, on the other elements I used Distress Inks again. 

The net is from Twinkle Twinkle by MFT - and originally a bear is holding it. It also faces the wrong direction. So I used the Mirror Image stamp to mirror the image onto white cardstock - I only used the wooden parts here. I also used black StazOn to stammp the net onto acetetae. I could simply turn this face down, having the stamped image on the backside. I cut the wooden pieces out right along the stamped lines and glued those onto the acetate. Now you can see the sky through the net. ;)

The text on the card is made using stamps by LawnFawn: the word "fish" using letters from Henry Jr.'s ABCs, the small words underneath with different of the Henry's Build a Sentiment sets. I had to get a bit creative here - the word "here" ie is made using the center letters of the word "there's". I stamped the texts directly onto the background using Versafine Clair Twighlight. Then I added a thin highlight along the top and right of each letter.  I just loved this text with the scene.

I also added some small clouds to the sky using the Puffy Clouds by MFT - my absolute favorite cloud set.

 

 Beim Zusammenkleben der Szene habe ich dann kein 3D Tape benutzt, damit man die Elemente hinter dem Vellum noch erkennen kann.

Ich habe die Fische ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I didn't use any foam tape when putting the scene together, so the elements behind the vellum are still visible through it.

I added some Stickles to the fish, then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Heute mal Orangen...

Ich habe dieses Jahr ja schon mehrere Karten mit Zitronen gemacht. Nun, für die heutige Karte habe  ich mal  Orangen als Motive verwendet. Ehrlich gesagt wollte ich nicht schon wieder eine Karte mit gelb und blau machen. Und blau und orange sind ebenso sommerlich. Und so sieht die Karte heute fast ein wenig wie ein Stilleben aus dem Urlaub in Griechenland aus (und falls nicht: zu meiner Entschuldigung sei gesagt, dass ich dort noch nie war).

I have shared several cards with lemons so far this year. Well, for today's card I used oranges as my images. To be honest, I didn't want to make another blue and yellow card.  And blue and orange are as much a summer-ish color combo. This card looks a bit like a photo taken at a vacation in greece (and if not, I have to admit that I haven't been there yet). 

 

Als Hintergrund habe ich aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks mittig die Outline des Fensters von Create a Smile gestanzt und ihn dann mit einem Mauer-Embossingfolder von SU geprägt.  Mit einem Schwämmchen habe ich ein wenig Distress Ink Lost Shadow auf die erhabenen Mauerteile aufgetragen. Dann habe ich mit Wasser verdünntes Hickory Smoke und anschließend weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt, um der Mauer etwas Struktur zu geben. 

 

For the background I die cut the outline of the Fenster by Create a Smilie from the center of a piece of white cardstock and then dry embossed it with a brick wall embossing folder by SU. I used a sponge to apply some Distress Ink Lost Shadow onto the raised areas. Then I added splatters of watered down Hickory Smoke and later als white acrylic paint to add some texture to the wall.

 

 Aus dunkelblauem Cardstock habe ich dann das Fensterkreuz des Fensters gestanzt und den Cardstock hinter den Ausschnitt in der Mauer geklebt.

Durch das Fenster sieht man blauen Himmel und das tiefblaue Meer, außerdem ragen einige Zweige von Orangenbäumen mit grünen Blättern und weißen Blüten in das Fenster.  

Himmel und Meer bestehen einfach aus zwei Streifen von verschiedenen Tönen blauen Carstocks. Das Meer habe ich von oben her ein wenig mit Salty Ocean gewischt. Außerdem habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift, den ich mit dem Finger verwischt habe, einige Wellen aufgetragen und sie dann mit Stickles beglittert. 

Am Himmel habe ich einige kleine Wolken, gestanzt aus Vellum, aufgeklebt.

Die Orangenbaumzweige sind mit dem Lemon Vine Border von LawnFawn gemacht. Ich habe sie aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Rustic Wilderness schattiert. Die kleinen weißen Blümchen sind aus einem Stanzenset von MarianneDesign - die Blumen im Lemon Vines Border Set waren mir hier einfach zu groß. 

 

From dark blue cardstock I die cut the inner part of the window and glued the cardstock behind the cut out in the wall.

Through the window you can see a blue sky and the deep blue ocean, there are also some orange tree branches with green leaves and white flowers hanging down in front of the window. 

Sky and ocean are simply  made from   two strips of two different  shades of blue cardstock. I inked the ocean from the top down with a bit of Salty Ocean. I also used a white gel pen to draw some waves onto the water, using my finger tips to smudge the ink a bit to the left and right, and then put Stickles on top of them. 

To the sky I glued some tiny clouds, die cut from vellum.

The orange tree branches are made using the Lemon Vines Border by LawnFawn. I die cut it form green cardstock and shaded it with some Rustic Wilderness. The tiny white flowers are from a die set by MarianneDesign - the ones in the Lemon Vine Border set felt too large for my scene. 

 

Unten links habe ich die schon erwähnten Orangen vor das Fenster gelegt. Ich esse Orangen wirklich nur selten und kaufe sie meist, um sie in meinem Aperol zu versenken... Aber hier auf der Karte schauen sie zum Anbeißen aus! 

Ich habe eine recht alte Stanze von MemoryBox verwendet und die Teile aus drei verschiedenen Tönen orangefarbenen Cardstocks gestanzt. Die habe ich dann mit Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade und Crackling Campfire schattiert und Highlights sowie Details mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Zwischen die Orangen habe ich dann noch einige übrige Blätter und Blüten gesteckt. 

 

Onto the bottom left I laid the oranges in front of the window. I rarely eat oranges and mostly buy them to throw them into my Aperol Spritz... But the ones of this card look yummy enough for even me wanting to eat them!

I used a quite old die by MemoryBox and die cut the different parts of the oranges from three shades of orange cardstock. Then I shaded  those with Dried  Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire and added highlights and details with a white gel pen. 

I tucked some left over leaves and blossoms behind/between the oranges.

 

 Oben rechts habe ich dann ein Banner mit meinem Text angebracht. Das ist aus dem Set La Dolce Vita Banners von Spellbinders. Ich habe das Banner einmal aus mittel- und einmal aus dunkel-orangefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, beide ein wenig schattiert und in das hellere dann den La Dolce Vita Text eingestanzt. Damit man es besser lesen kann, habe ich die Buchstaben mit einem feinen, hellbraunen Stift nachgefahren. 

 

Onto the bottom right I adhered a text banner. I made that using the La Dolce Vita Banners set by Spellbinders. I cut the banner from both middle and dark orange cardstock, shaded both slightly and then cut the La Dolce Vita text into the lighter one. To make it better legible I traced the letters with a fine, light brown marker. 

 

 

Beim Zusammensetzen der Karte kam dann wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz. Ich habe die Mauer mit dickem Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die Orangenzweige sind mit dünnem Tape hinterlegt. Das befindet sich auch zwischen den Orangen, der Text ist wieder mit dickem Tape hinterlegt.

Ich habe hellorange-irisierende Glitzersteine als Blumenmitten aufgeklebt und dann noch ein paar weitere davon auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the card together I used foam tape again. I adhered the wall with thick tape onto the background and put thin tape behind the orange branches. The thin tape is also put behind the oranges, the text banner I adhered with thick tape.

I used light orange iridescent rhinestones as flower centers and added a few more of them as decorations. Then I glued  the card panel onto a white note card.

Heute machen wir einen Kurztrip an einen tropischen Strand. Startpunkt für die Karte war tatsächlich das Fähnchenset von Spellbinders - der Rest hat sich dann irgendwie so ergeben...

Today we are going on a day trip to a tropical beach. The starting point for this card was actually the banner die set by Spellbinders - the rest "just happened"...

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich erst mit der Beach Scene Builder Stanze von MFT die Wasserlinie  und den Sand davor aus hell-türkis farbenem Cardstock und Graspapier gestanzt. Das Wasser habe ich dabei durch Partial Diecutting etwas höher gemacht.

Dann habe ich weißen Cardstock mit Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade und Crackling Campfire gewischt und dann einige Wassertropfen daraufgespritzt. Das  Wasser habe  ich mit Salvaged  Patina und Uncharted Mariner gewischt, auf den Sand ein wenig Antique Linen und Scorched Timber eingefärbt. 

Ich habe die Cardstockstücke zusammengeklebt und auf die Wasserlinie mit einem stumpfen, trockenen Pinsel etwas weiße Paste aufgetupft. Das sieht dann aus wie der Schaum auf Wellen.

 

For the background I first used the Beach Scene Builder die by MFT to cut the water line and the sand from light aqua cardstock and grass paper. I did  some partial die cutting to make the water area a bit taller. 

Then I inked a piece  of white cardstock with Distress Oxide  Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Cammpfire, then splattered some drops of water onto it. The ocean I shaded with Salvaged Patina and  Uncharted Mariner, the sand with Antique Linen and Scorched Timber. 

Then I glued the pieces together and used a dry brush to dab some white paste onto the  line where water and sand meet. It looks like the foam on waves.

 

 An der oberen linken Ecke der Karte habe ich zwei Zweige aufgeklebt, die wie Palmblätter wirken. Sie sind aus dem Set Palmblätter von Charlie und Paulchen. 

Die Zweige - und alle weiteren Elemente auf der Karte, habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert.

Auf den Himmel habe ich dann noch einige kleine Wolken, die ich aus Vellum gestanzt habe, verteilt und außerdem drei Vögel aus Life  is Good von LawnFawn mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt. 

 

I added two branches to the top left corner of the background, they reminded me of palm leaves. The are from the set Palmblätter by Charlie und Paulchen.

I die cut the branches - and all the other elements on this card - from white cardstock and colored them with Ohuhu markers.

I glued a few small clouds, cut from vellum, onto the sky and also stamped some birds from Life is Good by LawnFawn onto it using black ink.

 

 Die beiden Fähnchen mit den Texten sind aus dem Say Cheese Flags and Banners Set von Spellbinders. Die dritte Fahne mit dem "the" darauf habe ich hier nicht benutzt. Ich liebe es, wie die Fähnchen in der zarten Brise am Strand zu wehen scheinen...

Für die Deko darunter habe ich dann einen wilden Mix an Stanzen verschiedener Hersteller kombiniert. Das Blatt links ist aus dem Set Wild Greenery von MFT,  das Monsterablatt daneben aus Blätter 2 von Noor!Design. 

Davor befindet sich ein Cocktail, der, genauso wie das Cocktailschirmchen, die Blume und die Orangenscheibe, aus dem Set Woodland Critter Huggers Summer AddOn von LawnFawn sind. Das Schirmchen  habe ich in den Sand gesteckt - es hat beim Trinken wohl gestört.

Die beiden kleinen Muscheln daneben sind wieder aus dem Beach Scene Builder Set von MFT. Und den Sandhügel, in dem alles steckt, ist aus einem Slimline Set von Action. 

 

The two banners with the texts are from Say Cheese Flags and Bannners by Spellbinders.  I left out the third banner with the "the" on it. I love, how those banners seem to softly move with the summer breeze at the ocean...

For the decorations under those banners I used a wild mix of dies by different brands. The leaf on the left is from Wild Greenery by MFT, the monstera leaf next to it by Noor!Design.

In front of them there is a cocktail that's from Woodland Critter Huggers Summer AddOn by LawnFawn - as are the little umbrella, the flower and the orange slice. I stuck the umbrella into the sand - seems like it was in the  way while drinking.

The small seashells are again from Beach Scene Builder by MFT, the pile of sand is from a slimline die set by Action. 

 

 Die Zweige oben habe ich nur entlang der Oberkante angeklebt, die kleinen Teile stehen dadurch von selbst ein wenig nach oben. Auch die Blätter unten sind direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Die Fähnchen  habe ich mit dünnem, die Deko samt Sandhügel mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Auf das Wasser sowie den Strohhalm, das Schirmchen  und die Blumenmitte habe ich Stickles aufgetragen und dann als Deko ein paar orange-irisierende Gliterzsteine auf der Karte verteilt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The branches  at the top of the card are only adhered to the background along the  top edge - that makes the rest stand/curl up a bit. Also the leaves at the bottom of the card are glued directly onto the background. 

I backed the banners with thin, the decoration and sand with thick foam tape. 

I applied some Stickles onto the water and the paper straw, the umbrella and the flower center. Then I added some orange iridescent rhinestones to the card as decoration.

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine Karte, auf der ich das Motiv aus dem Set Freundeskreis von CreativeDepot verwendet habe. Und das bot sich geradezu für eine Geburtstagskarte von mehreren Personen  an.

Today  I am sharing with you a card that I used the image from Freundeskreis by CreativeDepot on. And it was perfect to make a birthday card that will be handed  over together from a few friends.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus drei verschiedenen Tönen türkisfarbenen  Cardstocks. Auf alle habe ich an selber Stelle den Birthday Background von MFT aufgestempelt und dafür jeweils eine Tinte einen Tick dunkler als  die Farbe des Cardstocks gewählt. 

Das Cardstockstück im dunkelsten Ton habe  ich einen Ticken größer zugeschnitten als die beiden anderen, so dass ich einen schmalen dunklen Rahmen um die Karte habe.

 

The background is made from three different shades of aqua cardstock. I stamped the Birthday Background by MFT onto each, placing it in the same spot on each piece  of cardstock and using ink a bit darker than each cardstock color.

I cut the darkest piece in the background a bit larger than the other two so I ended up with a thin dark frame around my card.

 

 Aus den beiden helleren Cardstockstücken habe ich dann jeweils einen der Essential Arches von Spellbinders gestanzt und sie per  Partial Diecutting ein bisschen nach unten verlängert. Auf den sichbaren Rand des mittleren Cardstocks habe ich dann mit schwarzer Tinte ein Celebrate Today! aufgestempelt. Das ist aus dem Sending Good Vibes Stempelset von TheStampMarket und nur  einTeil eines der ovalen Textes. 

Zwischen/auf die Lagen habe ich dann jeweils eine kleine Wolke, gestanzt aus weißem Cardstock, geklebt.

 

I die cut one of the Essential Arches by Spellbinders from the two lighter cardstock pieces, making them a bit taller by doing partial die cutting. Onto the visible part of the medium colored cardstock I stamped a Celebrate Today! using black ink. The text is from Sending Good Vibes by TheStampMarket and just part of one of the oval texts from the set.

Between/onto the cardstock layers I then glued some small clouds, cut from white cardstock.

 

 Und hier ist das süße Motiv aus dem anfangs erwähten Stempelset. Ich habe die Motive mit Copics coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Den Elefant habe ich mit einem  Papierhut aus Fette Überraschung von Create a Smile versehen, auf der linken Seite habe ich ein Fähnchen aus Elphie Selphie von LawnFawn angebracht. Auf das habe ich dann ein Überraschung aus Kleine Sprüche von Create a Smile aufgestempelt.

Der Elefant pustet eigentlich ein kleines gestempeltes Herz in die Luft. Ich habe es durch einige Herzen, gestanzt aus rotem Cardstock, ersetzt und die übrigen unten links neben den Panda geklebt.

 

And here's the cute image from the stamp set I mentioned at the beginning of this post. I colored the images  with Copics and cut them out with my scissors. I dressed up the elephant  with a paper hat from Fette Überraschung by Create a Smile, on the left side I added a banner from Elphie Selphie by LawnFawn and stamped a small "surprise" onto it.

The elephant  originally blows a little heart out of his trunk. I replaced that with a few more hearts, cut from red cardstock. The left over ones I placed at the bottom left of the card.

 

Die einzelnen Lagen habe ich dann mit dickem 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt, um der Szene etwas  Tiefe zu geben.  Anschließend habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used thick foam tape to put the card together, giving the scene some depth. Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.

Momentan bin ich den Stanzen von Spellbinders verfallen. Auf dieser Karte kamen die Sets Pink Lemonade Stand und das dazu passende Pink Lemonade Stand Tags Set zum Einsatz.

Lately I am in love with the die sets by Spellbinders. On this card I used the sets Pink Lemonade Stand and the coordinating Pink Lemonade Stand Tags. 

 

Wie Ihr seht, wird es auf dieser Karte schon mal sommerlich - nicht nur farblich, sondern auch vom Thema. Kalte selbstgemachte Zitronenlime an einem heißen Tag ist einfach super lecker. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks mit ein wenig Distress Ink Broken China gewischt. Dann habe ich aus gelbem Cardstock eine Slimline Sunrays Stanze von Action ausgestanzt, aufgeklebt und über beide Lagen weiße Acrylfarbe gespritzt.

Aus grünem Cardstock habe ich noch einen Streifen Gras als Boden gestanzt und an den unteren Rand des Cardstocks geklebt. 

 

As you can see, it's getting summer-ish today - not only because of the colors but also because of the theme. Is there anything better than cold homemade lemonade on a hot day?

For the background I inked a piece of light blue cardstock lightly with Distress Ink Broken China. Then I die cut a slimline sunrays die by Action from yellow cardstock and glued it on top. Over both layers I splattered some white acrylic paint.

From green cardstock I die cut a strip of grass and glued that along the bottom edge of the cardstock as the ground.

 

 

 Hauptelement des Stanzensets ist eine große Standtafel. Die Tafelfläche habe ich aus antrazit farbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich mit dem Finger etwas weiße Pigment-Stempelfarbe aufgerieben, weil so eine Tafel einfach nie absolut streifenfrei ist. 

Den Rahmen habe ich dann aus hellbraunem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Distress Ink Scorched Timber gewischt und an die Ränder das weiße Pigmentkissen gedrückt. So sieht die Tafel schon etwas verwittert aus. 

Mit der Schere habe am schwarzen Teil der Tafel den Bereich hinter dem Griffloch ausgeschnitten, so dass da hindurch der Hintergrund zu sehen ist. 

 

Main element of the die set is a large stand. I die cut the blackboard part from anthrazit cardstock, then rubbed some white pigment ink onto it using my fingers. Such a blackboard is never really completly clean. 

The frame I cut from light brown cardstock, inked it with Distress Ink Scorched Timber and pressed the white pigment ink pad  onto the edges. This way the wood looks a bit worn. 

I cut the area behind the hole out of the black cardstock as well using my scissors, now the background can be seen through it.  

 

 

Im unteren Bereich befinden sich auf der Tafel ein großer Krug frischer Limonade und zwei gefüllte Gläster. Die sind nicht nur mit der Limonade, sondern auch mit Zitronenscheiben gefüllt. Auch Strohhalme dürfen nicht fehlen. Außerdem befinden sich hier eine ganze Zitrone und zwei weiße Bülten. Ich habe alle Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink nur ganz wenig schattiert. Für alle Teile auf der Karte kamen Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Hickory Smoke, Broken China und Tumbled Glass zum Einsatz. 

 

On the lower part of the board I placed a pitcher of fresh lemonade and two  filled glasses. They are not only filled with lemonade but also some lemon slices. Of course there have to be some paper straws. I also added a whole lemon and two white flowers. 

I die cut all pieces from colored cardstock and very lightly shaded them with Distress Inks. For all the pieces on the card I used  Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Hickory Smoke, Broken China and Tumbled Glass.

 

 

 Im oberen Bereich der Tafel befindet sich weitere Deko und mein Text. 

Das hello sunshine habe ich aus Vellum gestanzt und mit Flüssigkleber aufgeklebt. Normalerweise will man den Kleber hinter Vellum ja verstecken, ich habe ihn hier bewusst fleckig aufgetragen, so wirkt die Schrift unregelmäßiger und wie mit Kreide geschrieben. Den I-Punkt habe ich durch ein weißes Herz ersetzt und zwei weitere Herzen links neben dem Text angebracht. 

Oben neben dem Griffloch befindet sich eine weitere Zitrone. Außerdem habe ich ein Banner aufgehängt. Entlang der Oberkante habe ich weiß-helltürkises Twine aufgeklebt und an die Bannerenden jeweils eine Schleife daraus angebracht. 

Am rechten Rand der Tafel befinden sich dann noch zwei Windräder. 

 

In the upper half of the stand I placed more decorations and the text. 

I die cut the hello sunshine from vellum and adhered it with liquid glue. Usually we try to hide the glue behind vellum but here I applied it a bit splotchy. Now the text looks like written with chalk. I replaced the dot on the I with a white clay heart and added two more hearts to the left of the text.

Next to the handle I placed another lemon. I've also hung up a banner. Along the top edge I glued on a piece of white and light aqua twine and added a bow to each end of it. 

On the right side I added two pinwheels to the board.

 

 

 Die Tafel habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und auch einige der Elemente auf der Tafel sind damit hinterlegt. An die beiden Füße der Tafel habe ich jeweils noch einen Fleck Gras angebracht.

Auf die Blumenmitten habe ich kleine gelb-irisierende  Steine, auf die Mittelpunkte der Windräder gelbe  Perlen geklebt. Ein paar weitere davon habe ich als Deko  auf der Karte verteilt.  

 Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered  the stand to the background with foam tape and also backed some of the elements on the board with it. To the two feet of the stand I glued a patch of grass.

I decorated the flower centers with yellow iridescent pearls, the centers of the pinwheels with yellow pearls. I added a few more of these to the card.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Das erste Mal Craft Roulette

Kennt Ihr Craft Roulette? Es ist eine Mitmach-Challenge, die jeden Freitag auf FB live gestreamt wird, jedes Mal ist ein anderer Gast eingeladen. Per "Roulette"-Rad, gefüllt mit diversen Bastelvorgaben, wird je ein Parameter zu Projekt, Farbe, Element und "Random" ermittelt, die es dann gilt, auf einer Karte umzusetzen. Und Mary Gunn, die die Show leitet, und der jeweilige Gast tun das dann live. Als Zuschauer hat man bis Sonntag Abend US-Zeit, um eine Karte einzureichen. Das waren jetzt mal ganz grob die Basisbedingungen. 

Ich schaue die Show wirklich gerne - nicht live, denn zu der Zeit schlafe ich normalerweise - und manchmal ergibt das Rad die wildesten Mischungen. Bis jetzt habe ich, aus verschiedenen Gründen, nie eine Karte gemacht. Aber dieses Wochenende hat es sich ergeben. Und so kriegt Ihr von mir heute zu ganz ungewöhnlicher Zeit, die Deadline muss ja eingehalten werden, eine Karte zu sehen. Die Parameter der Challenge #319 lauten:

Und solange Ihr Eure Gedankengänge hierzu ausreichend erklären könnt, sind die Parameter recht frei auslegbar. 

 

Hello everyone!

Do you know Craft Roulette? It's a challenge, that gets streamed live every friday on YT, each time there's a different guest invited. Parameters for the categories project, color, element and random get selected by turning a "roulette wheel", filled with different craft items. And Mary Gunn, the host of  the show, and the guest are making a card with these live. As a viewer you have until sunday evening US time to submit a card. These are just the very basic informations.

I love to watch the  show - not live, because usually I am deep asleep at that time - and sometimes the wheel brings up the weirdest combinations. So far and for different reasons I have never submitted a card yet. But this weekend it just worked out. And so today I am posting at a very strange - for me - time to show my card before the deadline. The parameteres of challenge #319 are:

4 bar - wedding colors - sweet(s) - a touch of grey.

And as long as you can explain your choices the parameters can be interpreted pretty freely.

 

Nun, ich habe einen Cupcake für Sweet(s) gewählt und weil ich den mit Blaubeeren dekorieren wollte, habe ich Lila und Creme als Wedding Colors gewählt. Eigentlich bin ich ja nicht der Lila-Typ, aber ich bin sicher, es ist eine beliebte Farbe für Hochzeiten. 4 Bar ist ein amerikanisches Kartenformat, das, leicht gerundet, 3.5" x 5" groß ist, das ist also einfach umzusetzen. Und auch der Hauch von Grau ist im Hintergrund sowie in der Coloration des Cupcake-Papiers  enthalten. Also alle Vorgaben erfüllt!

Mein Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Hickory Smoke den Birthday Background von MFT aufgestempelt habe. Dann habe ich die Ränder leicht mit dem selben Farbton gewischt. 

Den weißen Cardstock habe ich später noch ein wenig kleiner geschnitten, damit man den Kartenrohling dahinter sieht. 

Oh, und sorry für das nicht ganz so tolle Bild - ich musste mit dem Licht leben, das es gerade gab.... 

 

I went with a cupcake for Sweet(s) and because I wanted to decorate it with blueberries I've chosen purple and cream as my wedding colors. I am definately one who uses purple often but I'm sure it's a pretty comon color for weddings. 4 Bar is an american card size, rounded up roughly 3.5" x 5" large so that was easy. And also the touch of grey is included - in my background and in the coloring of the cupcake liner. So I can check off all the parameters. 

My background is made from a piece of white cardstock. With Distress Ink Hickory Smoke I stamped the Birthday Background by MFT onto it and then used the same ink to lightly shade the edges of the cardstock. 

Later I cut it down a bit to make the colored card base visible behind it.

And sorry for the  not so perfect pictures - I had to live with the light that was there when I took the picture. 

 

 Der Cupcake ist aus dem Lovely Layers Cupcake and More Set von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe alle Teile mit Copics coloriert und die Detail-Teile jeweils mit einer weiteren Lage weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt. 

Die Blaubeeren und die kleinen Blüten sind aus dem Cupcake Set aus dem Birthday Kit von Spellbinders. Der Cupcake darin hat mir nicht gefallen, aber die Deko aus  dem Set durfte auf die Karte.  

Aus dem Birthday Kit ist auch der Text. Ich habe ihn weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst, mit ein wenig Distress Ink Villainous Potion von unten gewischt und dann mit der passenden Stanze ausgestanzt. Den Text habe ich unten auf das Papier des Cupcakes und darüber hinausgehend aufgeklebt.

 

The cupcake is from Lovely Layeres Cupcake and More by HoneyBeeStamps. I colored all pieces with Copics and backed the detail parts with another layer cut from white cardstock. 

The blueberries and the small flowers are from the cupcake set from Spellbinder's Birthday Kit. I didn't like the cupcake from the set but the decorations made it onto my card. 

Also from the Birthday Kit is the text. I white heat embossed it onto purple cardstock, lightly shaded the bottom with Distress Ink Villainous Potion and cut it out with the matching die. Then I glued the text onto the cupcake liner, letting it overhang on the right side.

 

 Außerdem habe ich zwei Deko-Stecker in den Cupcake gesteckt um ihn festlicher zu machen, beide sind aus dem Set Sweet Cupcake von WaffleFlower. Bei dem Wort Celebrate habe ich den zweiten "Stil" mit der Schere weggeschnitten. Das Wort ist aus lilafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder mit Villainous Potion gewischt.

 An die Stecker habe ich dann aus silber und weißem Twine noch eine kleine Schleife gebunden.

 

I also glued two "picks" into my cupcake to make it more festive, both are from  Sweet Cupcake by WaffleFlower. I cut off the second "pick" from the word celebrate. I cut the word from purple cardstock and again shaded it with some Villainous Potion.

Then I tied a bow from silver and white twine to those picks. 

 

 Ich habe den Cupcake samt Deko mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und unten einen Schatten aufgemalt. So schwebt er optisch nicht so in der Luft. 

Als  Deko habe ich dann einige lilafarbene Sterne und ein paar silberne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und mit einem grauen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Und wenn ich schon mal lila verwende, dann richtig. Also habe meinen dekorierten Cardstock auf einen lilafarbenen Kartenrohling geklebt, der, gefaltet, die Maße einer 4 Bar Karte hat. 

 

I adhered the cupcake with all its decorations to the background using thin foam tape and added a shadow with markers. This way it isn't floating in the air.

As decoration I added some purple clay stars and silver pearls and drew a frame with a grey fineliner.

And when I used purple for a change I might add some more of it. So I glued the card panel to a purple note card that's - folded - the size of a 4 bar card. 

 

Ein Monster zum Vatertag

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich Euch ja schon eine Karte mit dem Monster aus dem Just Add Cake Kit von Spellbinders gezeigt. Als ich dann die Stanzen so durchgeblättert habe, kam mir die Idee, den Bierkrug aus einem der Sets mit dem Monster zu kombinieren. Entsanden ist dann diese Vatertagskarte.

A little ago I shared  with you the card I  made using the monster from the Just Add Cake Birthday box by Spellbinders. When I went through the dies I had the idea of combining the beer mug from one of the sets with the monster. That's how this father's day card was made.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück sehr hellblauen  Cardstocks, den ich von unten her mit Distress Ink Speckled Egg gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

The background I made from a piece of very pale blue cardstock. I inked it from the bottom up with Distress Ink Speckled Egg and then added splatters of white acrylic paint. 

Das Monster habe ich hier aus blauem Cardstock gestanzt - den Körper etwas heller, den Mund und die Arme dunkler. Auf den Körper habe ich dann mit Polychromos ein Fellmuster aufgemalt. 

Da die Karte ja eine Vatertagskarte sein sollte, wollte ich das Monster etwas älter aussehen lassen. Deswegen habe ich aus weißem Cardstock einen Schnurrbart und Augenbrauen gestanzt und mit Polychromos schattiert. Die Augenbrauen sind aus einem Santa-Stanzenset und eigentlich die Fellteile der Ärmel, ich habe sie ein wenig passend geschnitten. Beim Schnurrbart kann ich nicht mal sagen, aus welchem Set er ist. Es war der einzige, der passte. 

I die cut the monster from blue cardstock - the body a bit lighter, the back of the mouth and arms darker. I used Polychromos to add a fur pattern to the body.

Since this is going to be a father's day card I wanted  my monster to look a bit older. So I die cut a mustache and some eyebrows from white cardstock and shaded them with Polychromos. The eyebrows  are from a Santa set and oringinally the fur piecdes  of the arms. With the mustache I can't even tell where it is from but it was the only one that fit. 

 

 Der Bierkrug ist, wie schon gesagt, aus einem weiteren Set aus  der Birthday Box. Ich habe die Teile aus hellblauem sowie hell- und dunkelgelbem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics schattiert. Das herausspritzende Bier ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Sektflaschen-Set aus der Box gemacht. Außerdem habe ich das Bier mit der Schere schräg abgeschnitten und hellblau hinterlegt, damit die Neigung im Bierkrug zumindest ansatzweise passt.

Über den Glasteil des Krugs habe ich dann noch eine Lage Acetate gelegt, der Kleber ist hinter dem Schaum und den Händen versteckt. 

Und weil das Monster ja nicht in der Pampas stehen kann, habe ich einen Biertisch davor aufgebaut. Davon sieht man natürlich nur einen Teil der Tischplatte. Die habe ich mit einer der Barn Wood Planks Stanzen von HoneyBeeStamps gemacht und mit Copics schattiert. Darauf war dann, neben dem Bierkrug, auch noch Platz für einen Text, der ebenfalls in der Box kommt. 

 

The beer mug, as already mentioned, is from another set from the birthday box. I cut the pieces from light blue and light and dark yellow cardstock and shaded them with Copics. The beer, that's splashing out of the mug, is made using a die from the champagne bottle set of the kit. I also cut off  part of the beer at an angle and put some light blue cardstock behind it to make the mug and its  content look more realistic. Over the glass of the mug I put a  layer of acetate, the glue I've hidden behind the foam and the hands. 

And because the monster couldn't have his beer just in the air I put up a beer table in front  of him. Of course you can only see part of the table top here.  I die cut that using one of the Barn Wood Planks dies by HoneyBeeStamps and shaded them with Copics. And on top of that there was also room for a small sentiment, that also comes in the box.

 

 

Oben auf der Karte war Platz für meinen Text. Der ist mit Stempeln aus dem Set Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring von LawnFawn sowie einem weiteren Text aus der Birthday  Box gemacht - beides und der Text unten auf der Karte  ist weiß auf dunkelblauen Cardstock embosst. 

Dem Monster habe ich dann noch einen Partyhut aufgesetzt, auf dem oben ein weißer Pompom befestigt ist. Rundherum fliegen noch Luftschlangen, die wieder aus dem Set mit der Sektflasche sind. Die habe ich jweils einmal aus hellem und einmal aus dunkel gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebgt. Um alles herum fliegen dann noch ein paar Konfetti. Selbst die  sind aus der Birthday Box. 

 

In the top half  of the  card there was room for my text. I  made that using stamps from Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring by LawnFawn  and another text from the birthday  box. All of them, also the one in the bottom of the card, are white heat embossed onto dark blue cardstock.

I put a party hat onto the monsters head and glued a white pompom to its top. Around  the monster there are some streamers, those are again from the champagne bottle set.  I cut them from light and dark yellow cardstock and stacked them a bit offset. And even the confetti, that are flying around on the card, are from the birthday box.

 

 

Beim Zusammenkleben kam dann wieder 3D Tape zum Einsatz, auch das Monster ist mit dünnem Tape auf dem Inneren des Munds angebracht. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

When putting the scene together I used foam tape, also the monster is adhered to the inside of the mouth using thin foam tape.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Monstermäßige Geburtstagskarte

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich Euch ja eine Karte mit Sektflasche gezeigt, bei der ich mich von einer der Stanzen aus dem Just Add Cake Birthday Kit von Spellbinders  habe inspirieren lassen. Und in dem Post hatte ich noch groß getönt, dass ich das Kit nicht kaufen möchte. Nun, getreu nach dem Motto "was interessiert mich mein Geschwätz von gestern" habe ich es doch getan. Schuld ist dieses Monster, das ich einfach genial finde und das ich mit anderen Stanzen nicht nachbilden konnte. Und so gibt es heute eine monstermäßige Geburtstagskarte.

A little ago I shared a card with you with a bottle of champagne and the inspiration for this card came from one of the die sets from the Just Add Cake Birthday Kit by Spellbinders. And in that post I said that I won't buy the kit. Well, what do I care about what I said yesterday.... And yes, I bought it anyways. I blame this little monster, that I just fell in love with and that I wasn't able to kind of re-create with other dies. So today I am sharing with you this "monstrous" birthday card.

 

 Na und wenn ich das Kit schon habe, dann kann ich hier auch noch weitere Produkte daraus für meine Karte benutzen, oder?
Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück dunkel-rosaroten Cardstock mit dem Embossingfolder aus dem Kit embosst. Die Ränder habe ich dann mit dunkelroter Tinte und Distress Ink Black Soot gewischt und anschließend ein goldenes Stempelkissen über die erhabenen Stellen gezogen, damit die Konfetti und Luftschlangen besser zu sehen sind.

 

Well, since I have the kit, why not use more products from it for this card, right?

For the background I used the embossing folder from the kit to dry emboss a piece of dark pink cardstock. I inked the edges with dark red in and Distress Ink Black Soot and then dragged a gold pigment ink pad over the raised areas to bring out the confetti and streamers more.

 

 Das Monster habe ich aus verschiedenen Rosatönen gestanzt und alles mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Im Set sind ein Muffin und ein Stück Pizza enthalten, die das Monster halten kann. Bei mir musste es einfach Pizza sein. Auch diese Teile sind mit Markern schattiert.

Den Partyhut habe ich aus dunkelrotem Cardstock sowie goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und nach dem Zusammenkleben oben einen pinkfarbenen Pompom aufgeklebt. Die Brille habe ich aus dunkelrotem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und mit zwei Lagen aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann das Polaroid aus dem Say Cheese Set von LawnFawn gestanzt und per Partial Diecutting verlängert. Ich wollte das Monster, das keinen kompletten Körper hat, nicht so abgeschnitten auf die Karte kleben. Also schaut es nun aus dem Rahmen heraus. 

Das Monster ist super süß, ja. Aber ich wollte von Anfang an eine interaktive Karte damit machen. Und die sieht dann so aus: 

 

I die cut the monster pieces from different shades of pink cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. There's both, a muffin and a slice of pizza for the monster to hold included in the die set. I really wanted to use the pizza. Again I shaded the pieces with markers.

The party hat I cut from dark red cardstock and gold mirror cardstock and, after putting it together, I glued a pink pompom onto the top. The glasses I cut from dark red mirror cardstock and backed them with two layers cut from black cardstock. 

From white cardstock I die cut the polaroid frame from Say Cheese by LawnFawn and made it taller by doing some partial die cutting. The monster doesn't have a full body and I didn't want to add it "cut up" onto my card. Instead he's now looking out of the frame.

The monster is really cute, yes. But from the very first look I got of him I wanted to make him interactive. And this is what it looks like: 

 

 Das Monster lässt sich die Pizza schmecken - und wie es Monster eben so tun, schaufelt er so richtig rein...

Der  Mechanismus ist gar nicht kompliziert. Ich habe die Arme nur am Pizzastück angeklebt - das Ende des gebogenen Arms habe ich hinter das Monster gesteckt. Unter dem oberen Ende des zweiten Arms habe ich ein Loch in das Monster und den Hintergrund gestanzt. Durch das habe ich einen kleinen Kreis aus aufgedoppeltem 3D Tape gesteckt, auf der oberen Seite den Arm und auf der Unterseite, hinter dem Hintergrund, einen gewellten Kreis aus schwarzem Cardstock angeklebt. Dreht man nun am Kreis, der rechts über den Rand der Karte hinaussteht, bewegen sich die Arme samt Pizza nach oben. Damit er sich die Pizza nicht in die Augen schiebt, habe ich in der niedrigsten und höchsten Position jeweils ein kleines Stück 3D Tape auf der Rückseite des Monsters befestigt, die als Stopper dienen. 

 

The monster is enjoying the pizza - and just like monsters do he's devouring it...

The mechanism really isn't complicated. I adhered the arms to the slice of pizzy only and tucked the end of the more curved arm behind the monster's body. Behind the top end of the other arm I punched a hole through the monster body and the background. Through this hole I put a small circle of doubled up foam tape and glued the arm to it. To the other end of the foam tape I glued a scalloped circle, that I cut from black cardstock and that is sticking out at the right edge of the card. When you turn the circle the arms move up and down. To make sure the monster isn't sticking the pizza into his eyes I used  a small piece of foam tape next to the bended arm in it's highest and lowest position. Those work as a stopper. 

 

 Igendwie musste ich jetzt die Pizza und den Polaroid-Rahmen zusammenbringen. Also habe ich ein Cheeese aus dem Set Elphie Selphie von LawnFawn weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und oben auf die Karte geklebt. Damit das Wort nicht zu lang wird, habe ich beim Stempeln eines der E wegmaskiert. 

 

I somehow had to bring the pizza and the polaroid frame together. So I white heat embossed the word cheeese from Elphie Selphie by LawnFawn onto black cardstock, cut it out and glued it onto the card. The word was a bit too long so when stamping it I masked off one of the Es.

 

 Der Text, den ich unten auf den Polaroid-Rahmen gesetzt habe, ist aus dem Stempelset, das ebenfalls im Kit enthalten ist. Und der passt hier natürlich wie die Faust aufs Auge. Auch er ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit den dazugehörigen Outline-Dies, die auch im Kit enthalten sind, ausgestanzt. 

 

The text, that I glued to the bottom of the polaroid, is from the stamp set that comes in the kit. And of course it goes perfectly with the monster. Again I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock and cut it out with the matching dies, that also come in the kit.

 

 Damit der Mechanismus unter dem Monster genug Platz hat, habe ich Monster und Rahmen jeweils mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige goldene Pailetten aufgeklebt und alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

To not risk the mechanism not working properly I used foam tape to glue down the frame and monster. Then I added some gold sequins as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

Eigentlich bin ich ja der "Schmeiß-die-Reste-Weg-Typ". Aber auf dieser Karte kamen einige Elemente zum Einsatz, die ich tatsächlich einige Zeit aufgehoben hatte, mit dem Ziel, sie auf einer Karte zu verarbeiten. Und das habe ich dann auch tatsächlich getan, sogar zwei verschiedene Reste. 

 

Hello everyone!

I am the "throw-away-those-leftovers" type of crafter. But on this card I used some elements that I had lying on my desk because I might be able to use them on another card. That's what happened, and I even used two different types of leftovers.

 

Ihr ahnt es bestimmt - es sind die roten Herzen und die Punkte aus silbernem Metallic-Cardstock. Ich weiß gar nicht mehr, von welchen Karten sie übriggeblieben waren, sie lagen doch einige Zeit auf meinem Tisch. Bevor sie mich so stören, dass sie doch noch im Müll landen, habe ich ganz bewusst eine Karte damit gemacht, die tatsächlich auf den Resten aufgebaut ist.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück hell-türkis farbenen Cardstock, in den ich mit dem Head in the Clouds Embossingfolder von Spellbinders Wolken eingeprägt habe. 

Mit Copics habe ich unter die Wolken jeweils einen Schatten gemalt und oben auf die Wolken Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Das lässt sie noch plastischer wirken. Dann habe ich feine Spritzer weißer Acrylfarbe aufgetragen.

 

You might already have guessed it - the leftovers are the red hearts and the dots made from silver metallic cardstock. I even don't remember, what cards those were left over from, they were on my desk for quite some time. So before I get sick of them and they and up in the trash, I decided to use them and really  started the whole card with these.

The background is made from a piece of light aqua cardstock, that I dry embossed some clouds into using the Head in the Clouds Embossinfolder by Spellbinders.

I used Copics to draw a shadow under each cloud and a white gel pen to add some highlights. This makes them look even more dimensional. Then I added fine splatters of white acrylic paint on top.

 

 Die Herzen und Punkte habe ich dann im oberen Bereich der Karte alls Streifen schräg aufgeklebt, so als würden sie über den Himmel fliegen. Auf die  Herzen habe ich etwas klaren Nuvo Aqua Shimmer aufgetragen und dann klar-irisierende Glitzersteine zwischen und auf den Herzen verteilt. 

 

I glued the hearts and dots as a strip across the top of the background, just like they are floating by in the sky. I added a hint of a clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the hearts and then put clear iridescent rhinestones on and between the hearts.

 

 Unten auf die  Karte habe ich dann eine Maus aus dem Falling Star Set von ColoradoCraft aufgeklebt. Die sreckt beide Arme nach oben, so als würde sie eines der Herzen fangen wollen. 

Die Maus ist mit Copics coloriert, auf die Nase habe ich Glossy Accents aufgetragen. Dann habe ich sie per Hand ausgeschnitten.

Hier unten befindet sich auch der Text meiner Karte. Das Wort love habe ich mit der Swirled Love Stanze von Poppystamps gemacht. Es besteht aus drei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks mit einer leicht versetzten roten Lage obenauf. Den Schnörkel am Ende des E habe ich entlang des Rands der Kante weggeschnitten. Auf die rote Lage habe ich wieder etwas von dem klaren Nuvo Aqua Shimmer aufgetragen.

Das kleinere "is in the air" darunter  ist aus dem Spring Stempelset von HoneyBeeStamps und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

At the bottom of the card I added a mouse from Falling Star by ColoradoCraft. She's putting both her arms up in the air, just like she wants to catch one of the hearts.

I colored the mouse with Copics and put some Glossy Accents onto the nose. Then I cut her out with my scissors.

Down here I also added the text to my card. The word love is made with the Swirled Love die by Poppystamps. I built it from three black layers with a red layer a bit offset on top. The swirl  at the end of the e I cut off along the edge of the background. Again I applied some of the clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the red  layer.

The smaller "is in the air" under it is from the Spring stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps and white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

 

 Die silbernen Punkte sind direkt, die Herzen mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Hinter die Maus und dem embossten Text habe ich dickes 3D Tape angebracht.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the silver dots directly, the hearts with thin foam tape onto the background. The mouse and the embossed text I adhered with thick foam tape.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card.
