Summer and Surfing

 

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Bei mir sind vor kurzem das Postage Collage Windows Stanzenset sowie einige der Postage Collage Silhouette Stempelsets von WaffleFlower eingezogen. Und wie so oft war ich dann erstmal überfordert, was ich denn zuerst einweihen wollte/sollte. Ideengeber war dann das kleine Surfer-Motiv aus dem Postage Collage Tropical Sunset Stempelset sowie eine meiner Töchter, die genau diesen Lebensstil lebt.

A few days ago the new  Postage Collage Windows die set and a few of the Postage Collage Silhouette stamp sets by WaffleFlower made their way into my craft room. And as usual I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to use first. I got an idea when I spotted the little surfer image in the Postage Collage Tropical Sunset stamp set and one of my daughters, that lives just that lifestyle. 

 

Nun, die Karte ist jetzt nicht unbedingt ein Meisterwerk - es musste schnell gehen. Aber sie bringt  sowohl  das Sommerfeeling als auch die Beach Vibes rüber, und das war mein Plan.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück blau-grauen Designpapiers mit Holzmuster, das mich an ein Beach Cottage erinnert. Ich habe die Ränder ein wenig mit Distress Ink Hickory Smoke gewischt. Unten habe ich als Boden einen Streifen braunen Woodgrain-Cardstocks von LawnFawn aufgeklebt, auf das ich ein weißes Stempelkissen gedrückt habe, um das Muster mehr hervorzuheben.

 

Well, this card might not be the most amazing masterpiece ever - I was short on time. But it has  a summer feeling and brings some beach vibes, exactly what I had intended.

The background is made from a piece of blue-ish grey patterned paper with a woodgrain pattern, that reminded me of a beach cottage. I inked the edges with some Distress Ink Hickory Smoke. At the bottom I added a strip of brown woodgrain cardstock by LawnFawn, that I pressed a white ink pad onto to bring out the pattern more, as the ground. 

 

 Ich habe zwei Fentser in die Cottage-Wand eingebaut, die den Blick auf einen tropischen Sonnenuntergang freigeben. 

Ich habe dafür mit den Postage Collage Airmail Stencils zwei der Rechtecke  mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry,  Wilted Violett und Blueprint Sketch auf weißen Cardstock gewischt und die Wolkenlage mit Dried Marigold und Villainous Potion aufgewischt. Dann habe ich Motive aus dem schon erwähnten Postage Collage Tropical Sunset Stempelset mit Versafine Clair Nocturne auf die Rechtecke aufgestempelt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann viermal das selbe Fenster aus dem Postage Collage Windows Set ausgestanzt. Zwischen je zwei Fensterrahmen habe ich im oberen Teil des Fenster Acetate eingefasst und den Hintergrund dahinter geklebt. Außerdem habe ich aus Vellum zweimal den Vorhang aus dem Set Postage Collage Windows AddOn gestanzt und jeweils an eine Seite des Fensters geklebt. Einen davon habe ich dabei aufs Gesicht gedreht, damit er in die andere Richtung weht. Bei Vellum geht das ja recht problemlos. Aus dem selben Set sind auch die beiden Topfpflanzen, die ich ins bzw. auf das Fenster gestellt habe. 

Oben quer über die Karte habe ich dann eine mit einer der Fishtail Banners von LawnFawn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzte Girlande aufgeklebt. Die Banner habe ich abwechselnd mit Spiced Marmalade und Picked Raspberry eingefärbt und die Schnur mit einem schwarzen Marker nachgemalt. 

 

 I installed two windows in my cottage wall, that give sight to a tropical sunset.

I used the Postage Collage Airmail stencils to stencil two rectangles with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch. The clouds I did with Dried Marigold and Villainous Potion. Then I stamped images from the already mentioned Postage Collage Tropical Sunset stamp set onto them using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. 

From white cardstock I die cut four of the same windows of the Postage Collage Windows set. Between two of the windows I put a piece of acetate, just behind the upper half of the window, then glued the background behind them. I also die cut two curtains from Postage Collage Windows AddOn from vellum and glued one onto one side of each window. To make them move in different directions I turned one on its face. With vellum that's pretty easy to do. From the same set are also the two pot plants that I put into and onto the windows. 

 Across the top of the card I've hung up a banner, die cut from white cardstock using one of the Fishtail Banners by LawnFawn. I inked these with Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry and colored the string with a black marker. 

 

Im unteren Bereich der Karte habe ich dann ein großes Surfbrett aus dem Lovely Layers Beach Bound Set von HoneyBeeStamps an das Fenster gelehnt. Das habe ich - wie alle Motive - aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. Dabei wollte ich es so aussehen lassen wie ein teilweise farbig lackiertes Holz-Surfbrett. 

Neben dem Surfbrett steht eine Topfpflanze in einem Ständer aus dem Postage Collage Windowsill Plants Set. Und weil der unteren Teil der Karte noch etwas leer wirkte - und so ein Surfer einen treuen Freund braucht - habe ich hier noch einen Hund aufgeklebt. Der ist mit einer Stanze aus einem Set von Action gemacht. 

Schließlich habe ich noch verschiedene Texte/Textteile aus dem Deliver Summer Vibes Set von MamaElephant mit schwarzer Tinte direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt. Es sieht fast ein wenig so aus, als hätte sie jemand auf die Wand  geschrieben. 

 

In the lower half of the card I propped a large surfboard from Lovely Layers Beach Bound by HoneyBeeStamps against the window. I die cut that - just like all the images - from white cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I wanted it to look like a wooden surfboard that's partly colored. 

Next to the surfboard there's another potted plant in a stand from Postage Collage Windowsill Plants. And because the bottom of the card still looked a bit plain - and because a surfer needs a four legged friend - I added a little dog here. It's from a die set by Action.

Then I stamped different texts/text parts from Deliver Summer Vibes by MamaElephant with black ink directly onto the background. I kind of looks like someone wrote these onto the wall. 

 

Die Fenster sind durch die Lagen ja bereits etwas dicker. Deswegen habe ich die Pflanzen mit dünnem, das Banner und den Hund mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar klar-irisierende Pailetten aufgeklebt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht. 

 

Because of the layers the windows are alreay a bit raised. So I backed the plants with thin, the banenr and dog with thick foam tape. I added some clear iridescent sequins as decoration and then glued the card panel onto a white note card.

 

Das erste Mal Craft Roulette

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Kennt Ihr Craft Roulette? Es ist eine Mitmach-Challenge, die jeden Freitag auf FB live gestreamt wird, jedes Mal ist ein anderer Gast eingeladen. Per "Roulette"-Rad, gefüllt mit diversen Bastelvorgaben, wird je ein Parameter zu Projekt, Farbe, Element und "Random" ermittelt, die es dann gilt, auf einer Karte umzusetzen. Und Mary Gunn, die die Show leitet, und der jeweilige Gast tun das dann live. Als Zuschauer hat man bis Sonntag Abend US-Zeit, um eine Karte einzureichen. Das waren jetzt mal ganz grob die Basisbedingungen. 

Ich schaue die Show wirklich gerne - nicht live, denn zu der Zeit schlafe ich normalerweise - und manchmal ergibt das Rad die wildesten Mischungen. Bis jetzt habe ich, aus verschiedenen Gründen, nie eine Karte gemacht. Aber dieses Wochenende hat es sich ergeben. Und so kriegt Ihr von mir heute zu ganz ungewöhnlicher Zeit, die Deadline muss ja eingehalten werden, eine Karte zu sehen. Die Parameter der Challenge #319 lauten:

Und solange Ihr Eure Gedankengänge hierzu ausreichend erklären könnt, sind die Parameter recht frei auslegbar.

Do you know Craft Roulette? It's a challenge, that gets streamed live every friday on YT, each time there's a different guest invited. Parameters for the categories project, color, element and random get selected by turning a "roulette wheel", filled with different craft items. And Mary Gunn, the host of  the show, and the guest are making a card with these live. As a viewer you have until sunday evening US time to submit a card. These are just the very basic informations.

I love to watch the  show - not live, because usually I am deep asleep at that time - and sometimes the wheel brings up the weirdest combinations. So far and for different reasons I have never submitted a card yet. But this weekend it just worked out. And so today I am posting at a very strange - for me - time to show my card before the deadline. The parameteres of challenge #319 are:

4 bar - wedding colors - sweet(s) - a touch of grey.

And as long as you can explain your choices the parameters can be interpreted pretty freely.

 

Nun, ich habe einen Cupcake für Sweet(s) gewählt und weil ich den mit Blaubeeren dekorieren wollte, habe ich Lila und Creme als Wedding Colors gewählt. Eigentlich bin ich ja nicht der Lila-Typ, aber ich bin sicher, es ist eine beliebte Farbe für Hochzeiten. 4 Bar ist ein amerikanisches Kartenformat, das, leicht gerundet, 3.5" x 5" groß ist, das ist also einfach umzusetzen. Und auch der Hauch von Grau ist im Hintergrund sowie in der Coloration des Cupcake-Papiers  enthalten. Also alle Vorgaben erfüllt!

Mein Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit Hickory Smoke den Birthday Background von MFT aufgestempelt habe. Dann habe ich die Ränder leicht mit dem selben Farbton gewischt. 

Den weißen Cardstock habe ich später noch ein wenig kleiner geschnitten, damit man den Kartenrohling dahinter sieht. 

Oh, und sorry für das nicht ganz so tolle Bild - ich musste mit dem Licht leben, das es gerade gab.... 

 

I went with a cupcake for Sweet(s) and because I wanted to decorate it with blueberries I've chosen purple and cream as my wedding colors. I am definately one who uses purple often but I'm sure it's a pretty comon color for weddings. 4 Bar is an american card size, rounded up roughly 3.5" x 5" large so that was easy. And also the touch of grey is included - in my background and in the coloring of the cupcake liner. So I can check off all the parameters. 

My background is made from a piece of white cardstock. With Distress Ink Hickory Smoke I stamped the Birthday Background by MFT onto it and then used the same ink to lightly shade the edges of the cardstock. 

Later I cut it down a bit to make the colored card base visible behind it.

And sorry for the  not so perfect pictures - I had to live with the light that was there when I took the picture. 

 

 Der Cupcake ist aus dem Lovely Layers Cupcake and More Set von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe alle Teile mit Copics coloriert und die Detail-Teile jeweils mit einer weiteren Lage weißen Cardstocks hinterlegt. 

Die Blaubeeren und die kleinen Blüten sind aus dem Cupcake Set aus dem Birthday Kit von Spellbinders. Der Cupcake darin hat mir nicht gefallen, aber die Deko aus  dem Set durfte auf die Karte.  

Aus dem Birthday Kit ist auch der Text. Ich habe ihn weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst, mit ein wenig Distress Ink Villainous Potion von unten gewischt und dann mit der passenden Stanze ausgestanzt. Den Text habe ich unten auf das Papier des Cupcakes und darüber hinausgehend aufgeklebt.

 

The cupcake is from Lovely Layeres Cupcake and More by HoneyBeeStamps. I colored all pieces with Copics and backed the detail parts with another layer cut from white cardstock. 

The blueberries and the small flowers are from the cupcake set from Spellbinder's Birthday Kit. I didn't like the cupcake from the set but the decorations made it onto my card. 

Also from the Birthday Kit is the text. I white heat embossed it onto purple cardstock, lightly shaded the bottom with Distress Ink Villainous Potion and cut it out with the matching die. Then I glued the text onto the cupcake liner, letting it overhang on the right side.

 

 Außerdem habe ich zwei Deko-Stecker in den Cupcake gesteckt um ihn festlicher zu machen, beide sind aus dem Set Sweet Cupcake von WaffleFlower. Bei dem Wort Celebrate habe ich den zweiten "Stil" mit der Schere weggeschnitten. Das Wort ist aus lilafarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und wieder mit Villainous Potion gewischt.

 An die Stecker habe ich dann aus silber und weißem Twine noch eine kleine Schleife gebunden.

 

I also glued two "picks" into my cupcake to make it more festive, both are from  Sweet Cupcake by WaffleFlower. I cut off the second "pick" from the word celebrate. I cut the word from purple cardstock and again shaded it with some Villainous Potion.

Then I tied a bow from silver and white twine to those picks. 

 

 Ich habe den Cupcake samt Deko mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und unten einen Schatten aufgemalt. So schwebt er optisch nicht so in der Luft. 

Als  Deko habe ich dann einige lilafarbene Sterne und ein paar silberne Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und mit einem grauen Fineliner einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

Und wenn ich schon mal lila verwende, dann richtig. Also habe meinen dekorierten Cardstock auf einen lilafarbenen Kartenrohling geklebt, der, gefaltet, die Maße einer 4 Bar Karte hat. 

 

I adhered the cupcake with all its decorations to the background using thin foam tape and added a shadow with markers. This way it isn't floating in the air.

As decoration I added some purple clay stars and silver pearls and drew a frame with a grey fineliner.

And when I used purple for a change I might add some more of it. So I glued the card panel to a purple note card that's - folded - the size of a 4 bar card. 

 

Eisige Geburtstagsgrüße

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Auch wenn es der Posttitel vermuten lassen könnte - die Geburtstagsgrüße auf der Karte kommen natürlich von Herzen. Aber sie sind buchstäblich "eisig", denn auf der Karte tummeln sich viele lecker gefüllte Eiswaffeln.

I named this post "icy birthday greetings" - and even if "icey" in german also means frosty, those birthday greetings are of course really warm, coming right from the heart. But they are literally icy because there are lots of ice cream cones filled with yummy flavours.

 

Endlich ist es wieder wärmer, die Sonne lockt nach draußen - die Eiszeit hat begonnen! 

Ich esse eher selten Eis - vor allem, weil ich jemand bin, der immer und überall friert. Und wenn mir dann doch mal warm ist, möchte ich das genießen und nicht mit einem Eis gegenarbeiten. Bei meinem Mann ein wenig am Eis mitschlecken geht natürlich immer. 

Nun aber mal zur Karte. Die ist zwar recht voll, aber  wenn man genau hinschaut,  sieht man, dass es sich hier acht Mal um ein und das selbe gestanzte Motiv handelt. Ergänzt habe ich das dann nur durch einen Text.

 

It's finally  warmer, the sun is calling us to come outside - and ice cream season has started!

I don't eat ice cream too often - mostly because I am someone who's cold always and everywhere. And if not, I want to enjoy that feeling and not cool myself down with ice cream. Well, helping myself to some of the ice my husband is eating is something different...

But now on to the card. It's pretty full but if you look closely you'll see, that there's the same die cut image put on it eight times. I only added a text.

 

 Für die Motive habe ich hier die Eis-Stanze aus dem Lovely Layers Cupcake and More Set von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt und jedes der vier Teile jeweils acht Mal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich sie mit Ohuhu-Markern coloriert. Ja, das war ziemlich aufwändig, aber der Rest der Karte war ja schnell gemacht. Und Spaß hat es auch gemacht!

 Nun, Das Aussuchen von Eissorten ist für mich immer eine Herausforderung - sie sehen alle so lecker aus! Auf meiner Karte durfte ich mal in die vollen greifen, allerdings habe ich mich dabei sehr von den Farben, die ich verwenden wollte, leiten lassen. Und weil es für mich nichts schlimmeres gibt, als dieses Eis, das aus Pulver hergestellt ist und seinen Geschmack nur von künstlichen Aromen hat, sind meine Eissorten voller Frucht- oder Schokostückchen. 

Entlang der oberen Kante sieht man Kirsch, Vanille - wie man an den kleinen Punkten, die ich mit einem dunkelbraunen Fineliner aufgemalt habe, natürlich mit echter Vanille gemacht - und Mint Chip. Seitlich sind dann Tiramisu mit Kaffee-Swirls und Erdbeere zu finden.

 

For my images I used the ice cream cone die from the Lovely Layers Cupcake and More set by HoneyBeeStamps and die cut each of the four elements each cup is made of eight times from white cardstock. Then I colored them with Ohuhu markers. And yes, it took quite some time, but the rest of the card was done quickly. And it was a lot of fun, too!

Picking an ice cream flavor is always a challenge to me - they all look so yummy. On my card I was able to pick eight flavors, but  I got influenced by the colors I wanted to use. And since there's nothing worse for me than those ice creams, that are all made from the same powder and got their flavor and color only from adding more powders, my flavors are full of chunks of fruit and chocolate. 

Along the top edge of the card there's cherry, vanilla - as you can tell from the tiny dots I added with a dark brown fineliner made with real vanilla - and mint chip. On the sides there's tiramisu - with coffee swirls - and strawberry.

 

 In der unteren Reihe findet man dann noch Pistazie - das mochte ich schon vor dem ganzen Dubai-Alles Hype -, Mango und Schokolade. 

 

In the row along the bottom edge there's pistacchio - I already loved that before all that Dubai-Everything hype -, mango and chocolate.

 

 

 In der Mitte der Karte und all der Eiswaffeln befindet sich der Text. Der ist aus dem Treat Cart Sentiments von LawnFawn - und wie Ihr sehen könnt, konnte ich mich auch hier nicht so recht entscheiden. Eigentlich hätten wohl die drei oberen Texte gereicht, aber ich kann einem Wortspiel einfach nicht widerstehen. Die Texte sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

In the center of the card - and all the ice cream cones - I added the sentiment. It's put together from stamps from LawnFawn - and as you can tell I also wasn't able to pick just one here. Most likely the top three would have been enough, but I just can't resist a pun. I white heat embossed the texts onto black cardstock.

 

 Ich habe die Eiswaffeln entlang der Ränder eines Stück weißen Cardstocks angeordnet und sie dann mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Entlang der inneren Kanten habe ich dann einen hellgrauen Schlagschatten aufgemalt. Die Texte habe ich mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt.  

Als Deko habe ich ein paar schokobraune Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I arranged the ice cream cones along the outer edges of  a piece of white cardstock and adhered them with thin foam tape. Along the inside I added a drop shadow with grey markers. The texts I glued on with thick foam tape.

 As decoration I added a few chocolate colored clay hearts and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Shaker-Card in Autoform

Heute habe ich eine Karte voller Kleeblätter, das ganze in Auto-Form und mit eingebautem Shaker. Klingt kompliziert, ist es aber gar nicht. ;)

Today I have a card full of clovers to share, in a car shape and with a shaker. Sounds complicated, but it actually isn't. ;)

 

Für den Pick-Up habe ich das Stempelset PickUp Tailgate von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt, den habt Ihr hier bei mir ja schon öfter gesehen. Ausgestanzt habe ich ihn mit der passenden Stanze. Es gibt den PickUp auch von vorne - beide sind von der Form her identisch. Also habe ich eigentlich die Stanze zu eben diesem PickUp Cab verwendet. 

Die Karte ist auch die erste, bei der ich das komplette Motiv mit den Ohuhu Markern coloriert habe. Ja, ich lerne noch, aber ich wollte den PickUp in dezenten Farben und leuchtend grüne Kleeblätter. Und ich bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden. 

 

For the pick up I used the PickUp Tailgate stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps, I've used that several times already. I cut it out with the matching die. Actually, this car is availbale as a front and a rear view, both are identical in shape. So I used the die from the matching die set for this PickUp Cab. 

This card is also the first one, where I used only Ohuhu Marker for the coloring. Yes, I am still learning how to combine them, but I wanted this PickUp to have a subtle color with bright green clovers. And yes, I am happy with the result.  

 

 Die Ladefläche des PickUps habe ich dann mit vielen Kleeblättern gefüllt. Dafür habe ich die Klee-Wiese aus dem 4 Leaf Clover Set von ColoradoCraft benutzt. Den kleinen Hamster, der eigentlich darin sitzt, habe ich wegmaskiert und durch dieses Häschen aus Dandelion Wishes von MamaElephant ersetzt. Der Hamster war einfach zu groß - außerdem habe ich den erst vor gar nicht langer Zeit benutzt. Die Pusteblume, die der Hase eigentlich in der Hand hält, habe ich dann durch das Kleeblatt ersetzt, das der kleinere Hamster aus dem 4 Leaf Clover Set in der Hand hält. 

Die Fläche zwischen den Kleeblättern habe ich dunkelgrün coloriert und sie dann mit kleinen Kleeblatt-Konfetti sowie winzigen hellgrünen Perlen gefüllt. 

 

I filled the bed of the truck with lots of clovers. I used the clover field from 4 Leaf Clover by ColoradoCraft for them, masking off the hamster, that's sitting in it. I replaced that with the little bunny from Dandelion Wishes by MamaElephant - the hamster was just too large. And I had just used them not too long ago. I replaced the dandelion, that the bunny is holding, with the clover the smaller hamster from 4 Leaf Clover is holding up.

I colored the area betweenthe clovers in a dark green and then filled it with some small clover confetti and tiny light green pearls.

 

 Den Shaker habe ich in die Klappe der Ladefläche des PickUps eingebaut. Dafür habe ich den unteren Teil des PickUps erneut abgestempelt und nur die Kotflügel, die Klappe und die Stoßstange entlang der Stempellinien ausgeschnitten. Außerdem habe ich ein Fenster in die Klappe geschnitten. 

Hinter das Fenster habe ich Folie gesetzt, auf die ich den Text weiß aufembosst habe. Der ist aus dem Set PickUp Cab. Ergänzt wird er dann durch das "good luck" auf dem Nummernschild, das wieder aus PickUp Tailgate ist. 

Diesen Teil des Autos habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf das komplette Auto geklebt und den Shaker dabei mit weiteren kleinen Kleeblättern sowie winzigen silbernen Perlen gefüllt. Den Bereich hinter dem Shaker, der sich auf dem kompletten Auto befindet, habe ich dunkelgrün coloriert. 

 

I built the shaker in the tailgate of the PickUp. I stamped the lower part of the car again and cut out only the fenders, the tailgate and the bumper, right along the stamped lines. I also cut a window into the tailgate.

I put some acetate behind the window and white heat embossed the text onto it. The text here is again from PickUp Cab. I stamped the rest of the text onto the license plate - this text is again from PickUp Tailgate.

I glued this part of the car onto the complete on using foam tape and filled the shaker with more of the small clover confetti and some tiny silver beads. The area behind the shaker, that is actually part of the complete car, I colored a dark green. 

 

Auf die Kotflügel und neben das Nummernschild habe ich dann noch einige weitere Kleeblätter angeklebt und außerdem drei hellrosa Herzen als Deko auf die Karte geklebt. Das Häschen ist übrigens mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, so dass es zwar etwas erhöht, aber nicht so hoch wie die Ladefläche mit dem Shaker ist.

 

I added some more of the clover confetti to the fenders and next to the license plate and also glued down three light pink clay hearts as decoration. The bunny I adhered with thin foam tape. This way it's raised a bit but not as much as the clovers and shaker.

 

 Auch die Karte hinter dem Auto ist in Auto-Form gestaltet. Ich habe es dafür aus  oben gefaltetem, weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die Stanze dabei so aufgeklebt, dass die obere Kante der Stanze etwa 1 cm über den Cardstock hinausragt. Auf diese Auto-Karte habe ich dann das dekorierte Auto aufgeklebt.

 

The card behind the car is also made in the shape of the car. I simply cut it again from a top folding note card, moving the die up a bit. This way the top edge is outside the card base and the fold doesn't get cut. Then I glued the decorated car onto the car shaped card base.

Das Thema der SimonSaysStamp IG Challenge im März ist "monochrom". Nun mag es zwar fast ein wenig offensichtlich sein, da eine Trauerkarte zu machen, denn schwarz/weiß bzw. Grautöne ist ja meist das erste, das einem da in den Sinn kommt. Aber nach einem Todesfall in der Familie fühlte es sich für mich richtig an.

The theme of the march IG challenge by SimonSaysStamp is "monochrome". It may be a bit obvious to make a sympathy card as the entry,  because black and white or shades of grey is the first thing that might come to mind. But after the death of a familiy member it just felt right to me.

 

Ich habe hier ein Stück  hellgrauen Cardstocks für den Hintergrund verwendet und darauf dann mit hellgrauer Tinte einen Trauertext von Efco  aufgestempelt. Ich habe ihn zweimal nebeneinander gestempelt, die Naht wird von der Deko verdeckt.

Dann habe ich schwarze Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

 

Here I used a piece of light grey cardstock for the background and stamped a sympathy text onto it using light grey ink. I stamped it two times next to each other, the seam is covered by the decorations. 

Then I added fine splatters of black acrylic paint.

 

Die Deko habe ich mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Ich glaube, es war letztes Jahr, als Kelly Taylor eine Osterkarte gemacht hat, für die sie aus den Holzteilen des Wood Frame Builder Sets von HoneyBeeStamps ein Kreuz zusammengesetzt hat. Die Idee hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich sie hier nachgemacht habe. Ich habe die Holzteile aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern schattiert. Dann habe ich einen weißen Polychromo flach über den Cardstock gerieben, so dass die Maserung besser hervorkommt, und alles zu einem Kreuz zusammengesetzt.

Hinter das Kreuz habe ich einen runden Rahmen aus schwarzem Cardstock gesetzt, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock mit einer der Stitched Circle Frames von Create a Smile.

Außerdem habe ich ein schwarzes Band über das Kreuz gehängt. Das habe ich aus - etwas gekürzten - Teilen des Vorhangs aus dem Take the Stage Set von MFT aus dunkelgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Ohuhus schattiert. 

 

I attached the decorations centered onto the background. I think it was last year, that Kelly Taylor made an easter card where she used  the wooden pieces from Wooden Frame Builder by HoneyBeeStamps to put together a cross. I liked that idea so much that I copied it formy card. I cut the wooden pieces from grey cardstock and shaded them with Ohuhu markers. Then I used a white Polychromo and dragged it flat over the cardstock to bring out the pattern more and glued everything together to form the cross.

Behind the cross I put a round frame, cut from black cardstock using one of the Stitched Circle Frames by Create a Smile. 

I also draped some black "fabric" over the cross. I created that from some - a bit shortened - pieces from the curtains from Take the Stage by MFT, cutting them from dark grey carstock and shading them with Ohuhu again.

 

 Das Kreuz habe ich dann mit Lilien dekoriert, die ich in echt nicht wirklich mag. Nicht wegen Ihrer Form, sondern wegen des Geruchs. Trotzdem sind sie, neben Callas, die absoluten Trauerblumen für mich. 

Hier habe ich den Flower Lilly Stempel von WhimsyStamps benutzt und die Blüten nach dem Colorieren einzeln ausgeschnitten. Ich habe  sie  mit grauer Tinte abgestempelt, das lässt die Motive weicher erscheinen, und sie dann fast No-Line mit Ohuhus coloriert. 

Der Text darunter ist aus dem With Sympathy Stempelset von AveryElle. Mir  ist klar, dass ich hier deutschen Text im Hintergrund und englisch für  den eigentlichen Text gemischt habe. Aber mir macht das nichts, und so kleine deutsche Trauertexte fehlen mir. Die finde ich alle zu groß. Ich habe den Text hier weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I decorated the cross with lilies, that I don't really like in real life. Not because of their look but their smell. And still, besides Calla they are the perfect sympathy flowers to me.

Here I used the Flower Lilly stamp by WhimsyStamps and cut the flowers out individually after coloring them. I stamped them with grey ink, that makes the images softer, and then colored them with Ohuhu  markers. They nearly look like No-Line coloring.

The text underneath is from With Sympathy by AveryElle. I know that I mixed a german text in the background with an english main text. But it doesn't bother me, and I am really  missing small  german sympathy texts like that. These are all too large  for my taste. I white heat embossed the text onto black cardstock.

 

 Ich habe das Kreuz mit 3D  Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt und dann auch die Blumen damit auf  dem Kreuz befestigt. Als Deko habe ich dann noch einige schwarze Perlen auf der Karte verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the cross with foam tape to the background and then also backed the flowers with foam tape. I added some black pearls as decoration and glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Geburtstags-Shaker-Karte

Ich bastel ja gerne in Blautönen. Aber bei all den Winterkarten, die ich in letzter Zeit gemacht habe, bin ich des Blaus ein wenig überdrüssig geworden. Und deswegen habe ich heute eine Karte, die farblich mal so ganz anders ist.

I love crafting in blues. But with all the winter cards I have been making lately I am a bit sick of this color. And so today I am sharing a card with you that is completly different colorwise. 

 

Ich habe hier eine Geburtstagskarte in beige, rot und braun, in die ein Shaker eingebaut ist.

Als Basis habe ich zwei Stücke cremefarbenen Cardstock genommen. Aus einem habe ich einen der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower ausgestanzt. Bei diesem Cardstockstück habe ich die Ränder mit Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap gewischt und dann mit Frayed Burlap den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund von Create a Smile darüberstempelt. Der ist bewusst nicht perfekt gestempelt, er soll nur den Hintergrund etwas interessanter machen.

Beim zweiten Cardstockstück habe ich mir den Bereich markiert, der später durch den ausgestanzten Rahmen sichtbar ist, und ebenfalls mit den beiden Distress-Farben etwas abgedunkelt. 

 

I made a birthday card in cream, red and brown and included a shaker in it.

As the base I started with two pieces of cream colored cardstock. From one of them I die cut one of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower. This cardstock with the cut out frame I inked at the edges with Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap and then used Frayed Burlap to stamp the birthday text stamp Freude und Jubel by Create a Smile onto it. I didn't ink that up too carefully because I just want this text to add a bit of interest to the background.

On the second piece of cardstock I marked the area, that will be visible through the frame later, and inked that with the same Distress Ink colors.

 

 Innerhalb des Fensters habe ich dann mit dem Celebration Streamers Stempel von TheGreetery Luftschlangen aufgestempelt. Ich habe sie mit korallefarbener Tinte gestempelt und dann mit Hilfe des dazugehörigen Stencils und dunklerer Tinte die Schatten hinzgefügt. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Diesen Bereich der Karte habe ich dann in einen Shaker verwandelt und ihn mit rosegoldenen Pailetten gefüllt. Auf die Folie, die den Shaker abdeckt, habe ich mit schwarzem StazOn den Text aus dem Stempelset Konfetti von Create a Smile aufgestempelt.

Nach dem Aufkleben der oberen Cardstocklage habe ich  den Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame ein weiteres Mal aus braunem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt und oben auf die Folie aufgeklebt.

 

Inside the window I stamped some streamers using the Celebration Streamers stamp by TheGreetery. I stamped them with coral ink and then used the matching stencils and a darker ink to add the shadows to the streamers. Then I splattered white acrylic paint on top.

I turned this area of the card into a shaker and filled it with rose gold sequins. Onto the acetate, that covers the shaker, I stamped a "today it should rain confetti for you" text using black StazOn ink. 

After adhering the top cardstock layer I die cut the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frame again from brown mirror cardstock and glued it onto the acetate.

 

 Natürlich darf auf so einer Karte auch ein Motiv nicht fehlen. Ich habe den Igel aus dem Heart Hugs Stanzenset von HoneyBeeStamp benutzt und alle Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Das Geschenk ist aus dem Set Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires von LawnFawn. Ich habe alles mit Copics coloriert und den Igel an die untere Kante der Karte geklebt.

Das kleine Happy Birthday daneben ist aus dem Set Bitty Birthday Wishes von MFT und schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Ich habe außerdem mit dem Curly Q Streamers Stanzenset von TheGreetery zwei weitere Luftschlangen ausgestanzt und sie mit den gleichen Farben, mit denen ich die Luftschlangen hinter dem Shaker gestempelt habe, eingefärbt. Okay, ich gebe zu, dass ich die Luftschlangen als Reste einer anderen Karte bereits aus weißem Cardstock "auf Lager" hatte. Ich hatte sie bereits vor einiger Zeit gestanzt und bei der Lagerung haben sie ein wenig gelitten. Deswegen sind sie nicht ganz so perfekt ausgefallen.... Die beiden ausgestanzten Luftschlangen habe ich links und rechts des Shakers aufgeklebt.

 

Of course there has to be an image on a birthday card. I used the hedgehog from Heart Hugs by HoneyBeeStamps and cut all pieces from white cardstock. The present is from Build-a-Critter Winter Accessoires by LawnFawn. I colored everything with Copics and adhered the hedgehog along the bottom edge of the cardstock.

The small "happy birthday" next to it is from Bitty Birthday Wishes by MFT and stamped black onto white cardstock.

I also die cut two streamers using the Curly Q Streamers die set by TheGreetery and inked them with the same colors I also had stamped the ones inside the shaker with. Okay, I have to admit that I had those streamers left over from anothter card, cut from white cardstock. I had die cut them some time ago and while they were laying around, waiting to be used, they weren't treated too carefully and look a bit ragged... I glued those streamers onto the background, placing them to the left and right of the shaker. 

 

 Die obere Kante der Karte habe ich dann noch mit Papier-Rosetten dekoriert. Die ist mit dem Layered Rosette Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht und mit den dazugehörigen Stencils gemacht. Ich habe wieder beide Koralletöne sowie Distress Ink Antique Linen und Frayed Burlap zum Einfärben benutzt. Ich brauchte hier nur eine Rosette zu gestalten, die habe ich dann zerschnitten und die Stücke entlang der oberen Kante der Karte angeklebt. Die überstehenden Stücke habe ich weggeschnitten.

 

The top edge of the card I decorated with some paper rosettes. I made these with the Layered Rosette die set by SimonSaysStamp and inked them with the matching stencils. I used the same two tones of coral, Distress Ink Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap to color the rosettes. I actually only had to create one rosette, then cut it apart and glued the pieces to the background. I simply cut off any overhang.

 

 Hinter den Rosetten, dem Igel, dem kleinen Text und der Luftschlange rechts befindet sich dickes oder dünnes 3D Tape.

Als Deko habe ich einige braune Herzen rund um den Igel und weitere rosegoldene Pailetten auf dem Rest der Karte verteilt aufgeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I put thin or thick foam tape behind the rosettes, the hedgehog, the small text and the  streamer on the right.

As decoration I glued  down some brown clay hearts around the hedgehog and more rose gold sequins on the rest of the card. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Winterkarte mit Frühlingstouch

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich komme langsam an den Punkt - im Bastel- wie auch im richtigen Leben -, an dem ich mich nach dem Frühling sehne, auch wenn ich natürlich weiß, dass der noch ein wenig auf sich warten lassen wird. Aber immer dann, wenn ich an diesem Punkt angekommen bin, fangen draußen die Schneeglöckchen an zu blühen. Und genau das drückt meine heutige Karte aus. 

 

Hello everyone!

I am coming to the point - in real life as in my crafting - where I am longing for spring, knowing it will take a little longer until it's here. But everytime I reach that point, the snowdrops start blooming in my garden. And that's what I tried to put onto this card.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus dunkeltürkis farbenem Cardstock. Ich habe ein Stück, etwas kleiner als mein Kartenrohling, und ein weiteres Stück, dass ich passend zu dem Schneeflockenrahmen zugeschnitten habe, jeweils mit dem Pixie Snowflake Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp embosst und zwar so, dass das Muster fortlaufend ist, wenn das kleinere Stück mittig auf dem größeren liegt. 

Den Snowflake Frame, ebenfalls von SimonSaysStamp, habe ich aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock gestanzt und darauf das kleinere Stück Cardstock aufgeklebt. 

Auf die erhabenen Stellen der Prägung habe ich dann ein weißes Stempelkissen gedrückt, um die große Schneeflocke etwas mehr hervorzuheben. Außerdem habe ich die Punkte rund um die Schneeflocke mit eine klaren Glitzer-Gelstift nachgemalt. 

 

The background is made from dark turquoise cardstock. I cut one piece slightly smaller than my card base, another one I cut to go with the snowflake frame. Then I dry embossed the large snowflake into both pieces using the Pixie Snowflake embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp and making sure, that the pattern is continuous when the smaller pieces lays centered on the larger one.

The Snowflake Frame, also by SimonSaysStamp, I die cut from white pearlescent cardstock, and cut the smaller embossed cardstock onto it.

I pressed a white pigment ink pad onto the raised areas of the snowflake to bring it out a bit more. Then I put some glitter onto the dots, using a clear glitter gel pen.

 

 Auf der Karte fliegt eine Taube. Aber statt einem Olivenzweig hat diese hier ein kleines Schneeglöckchen im Schnabel und verkündet so den nahenden Frühling.

Die Taube ist mit dem Peaceful Dove Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Ich habe sie dreimal aus drei verschiedenen Tönen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks gestanzt und dabei aus der hellsten Taube die eigentlich als Aufleger gedachten Dekoelemente am Rücken und Schwanz herausgestanzt. Am Rücken habe ich dann ein Stück aus dem mittleren Farbton eingesetzt, außerdem befindet sich eine komplette Taube aus diesem Farbton hinter der ersten. Ich habe alle Teile der Taube mit Copics ein wenig schattiert und sie dann leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Auf die Flügel und den Schwanz habe ich ein wenig Schimmer aufgetragen.

Das Schneeglöckchen, das die Taube im Schnabel trägt, ist eines aus dem Büschel aus Schneeglöckchenpracht Klein von CreativeDepot. Ich habe es aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

 

There's a dove flying on my card. Instead of an olive branch she's carrying a small snowdrop, proving that spring will be here soon.

I made the dove using the Peaceful Dove die set by SimonSaysStamp. I cut it three times, using three different shades of turquoise cardstock. There are dies that cut some decor elements for the tail and the back. I cut those from the lightest of my doves and put the piece on the back in, cut from the middle tone of cardstock. Then I glued that lightest dove onto a whole one, cut from the middle shade of cardstock. I shaded all pieces of the dove with Copics and then glued all three layers on top of each other, setting them a bit off. Onto the wings and tail I added a bit of a clear shimmer.

The snowdrop in the dove's beak is one from the bushel of snowdrops from Schneeglöckchenpracht Klein by CreativeDepot. I cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

 

 Auf der rechten Seite der Karte wächst ebenfalls ein Schneeglöckchen, diesmal aber ein größeres. Diese Stanze ist ebenfalls von CreativeDepot, diemal habe ich das Großes Schneeglöckchen benutzt. Auch das ist aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Der Schneehügel, aus dem es herauswächst, ist mit einer der Grounding Elements Stanze von MFT gemacht.

 

On the right side of the card there's another snowdrop, this time a larger one. The die is again from CreativeDepot and is called Großes Schneeglöckchen. I again cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

The pile of snow, that it's growing out of, is made using one of the dies from Grounding Elements by MFT.

 

Unten links habe ich dann meinen Text aufgeklebt.

Das kleine Hello ist aus dem Itty Bitty Baby Set von MFT und schwarz auf helltürkis farbenen Cardstock gestempelt.

Das Wort Spring darunter ist aus dem Stanzenset Great Greetings Spring von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe die Schattenlage aus helltürkis farbenen Cardstock gestanzt, das Wort an sich zweimal aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock. 

 

The text I adhered to the bottom left of my card.

The small word hello is from Itty Bitty Baby by MFT and stamped black onto light aqua cardstock.

The word spring under it is from Great Greetings Spring by HoneyBeeStamps. I cut the shadow layer from light aqua cardstock, the word two times from white pearlescent cardstock.

 

 Ich habe den Schneeflockenrahmen mit 3D Tape auf den dunkeltürkis farbenen Cardstock geklebt. Darauf habe ich dann, ebenfalls mit 3D Tape, die Taube und den Text aufgeklebt. Hinter dem großen Schneeglöckchen habe ich das Tape dann aufgedoppelt.

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Perlen auf dem Hintergrund verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the snowflake frame with foam tape to the background. Then I put the dove and text on top, using foam tape again. Behind the snowdrop I doubled up the foam tape.

I added some white pearls to the background, then adhered the card panel toa  white note card.

 

Florale Winterkarte

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine florale Winterkarte - es ist doch schön, mal was anderes als Eisblumen zu sehen. Aber die Karte hat mich Nerven gekostet....

 

Hello everyone!

Today I have a floral winter card to share - it's nice to see some other "flowers" than ice ferns, which are calles ice flowers in german. But this card really challenged me...

 

Fangen wir gleich mit dem nervenraubenden an. Das waren nämlich nicht die Blumen, sondern der Hintergrund. Und ich habe ettliche entsorgt, bis ich mit diesem hier dann zumindest einigermaßen zufrieden war. Da gab es gestencilte Schneeflocken (bei denen mir die Paste teilweise unter den Stencil gelaufen ist), Hintergründe mit Perfect Pearls, das aber auch auf den noch feuchten Distress Inks gehaftet hat, in Paste eingestreuter Glitter, der zu grob war...

Hier habe ich ein Stück olivgrünen Cardstocks an den Ränder mit ein wenig Distress Ink Forest Moss gewischt. Dann habe ich den Sternhintergrund von SimonSaysStamp mit Versamark aufgestempelt.  Auf die Sterne in der Mitte der Karte habe ich dann Perfect Pearls Confetti White aufgewischt - ein wenig Schimmer ist auch auf dem Cardstock rundherum zu sehen, aber das stört mich nicht. Und dann kam mir, auf der Suche nach irgendetwas, um den Hintergrund interessanter zu machen, das weiße UTEE unter. Das habe ich dann entlang der Ränder aufgestreut und geschmolzen. Dabei habe ich bewusst auch einige größere Körner in die Mitte der Karte gestreut und mir so das Splattern mit weißer Acrylfarbe gespart.

 

Let's start with was not working out for me. It wasn't the flowers, but the background. It took several tries until I ended up with this one, that I am at least kind of happy with. I had stenciled snowflakes (where the paste ran under the stencil), backgrounds with Perfect Pearls that also sticked to the still damp Distress Ink, glitter sprinkled over paste, but the glitter was too chunky...

Here  I inked the edges of a piece of olive cardstock with Distress Ink Forest Moss. Then I stamped the star background by SimonSaysStamp with Versamark onto it and applied some Perfect Pearls Confetti White to the center only. Some of the shimmer is left on the cardstock center where there are no stars, but that doesn't bother me. And then, when frantically searching for something to add more interest to the background, I came across my white UTEE. I appied that along the edges of the cardstock and melted it. I added some larger grains to the center of the cardstock, too, and this way saved myself having to add splatter with white acrylic paint. 

 

 Eigentlich sieht man von dem Hintergrund gar nicht mehr so viel, denn der größte Teil wird von den Blumen verdeckt. Aber glaubt mir, alle anderen Hintergründe waren einfach nicht tragbar.

Aus weißem Perlmutt-Cardstock habe ich den zweitgrößten der Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames von WaffleFlower gestanzt und mit 3D Tape mittig auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

You actually don't see that much of the background because most of it is covered by the flowers. But believe me, the others I had made just looked awful.

I die cut the second largest of the Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames by WaffleFlower from white shimmer cardstock and adhererd it to the center of the card using foam tape.

 

 Die Blumen samt Ästen/Zweigen sind alle aus den Sets Lovely Layers Mini Holiday Flowers und Lovely Layers Wildflowers von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe alles aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt - nur die Blumen sind aus hellgrauem und weißem Cardstock - und dann mit Copics schattiert. 

Auf die einzelnen Teile habe ich nach dem Zusammenkleben Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter aufgestreut, die Beeren habe ich außerdem mit Glossy Accents und ebenfalls ein wenig des Glitters überzogen. 

Die Pflanzen habe ich dann alle wieder mit 3D Tape auf die linke Seite des Rahmens geklebt.

 

The florals are all from Lovely Layers Mini Holiday Flowers and Lovely Layers Wildflowers by HoneyBeeStamps.  I die cut all the elements from colored cardstock - and used light grey and white for the flowers - and shaded them with Copics.

After putting the individual elements  I added some Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter in a few spots, the berries I covered  with Glossy Accents and also a bit of the glitter.

I adhered the florals with foam tape to the left side of the frame.

 

 Der Text ist aus dem Set Bitty Holiday Wishes von MFT. Ich habe ihn weiß auf einen Streifen dunkel-oliv farbenen Cardstocks embosst, mit einem Streifen des weißen Permutt-Cardstocks hinterlegt und dann unter die Blumen geschoben.

 

The text is from Bitty Holiday Wishes by MFT. I white heat embossed it onto a strip of dark olive cardstock, put a strip of the white shimmer cardstock behind it and then adhered the text across the flowers.

 

 Hier sieht man sowohl den Schimmer und Glitter als auch die Tiefe der Karte besser. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Here you can see the shimmer and glitter and also the depth of the card better. 

As the last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Winter in Pink

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich bin immer noch fleißig am Winterkarten basteln. Aber ich brauchte mal eine Abwechslung zu all dem Blau und Türkis. Also gibt es heute mal eine Winterkarte in Pink - macht sich auch gut, finde ich.

I am still making winter cards. But I needed a break from all the blues and aquas. So today I am sharing with you a pink winter card - works great as well, I think.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück rosafarbenen Cardstock mit dem Frosted Filigre Embossingfolder von HoneyBeeStamps embosst. Da der auf eine 5 x 7 Inch große Karte ausgelegt ist, habe ich den Cardstock rundherum kleiner geschnitten. Dadurch geht zwar einiges des Musters verloren, aber ich finde, man sieht immer noch jede Menge davon.

Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich dann mit Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry und Seedless Preserves gewischt. Dann habe ich mit einem Brayer weiße Stempelfarbe auf die erhabenen Stellen aufgetragen und dann hell- und dunkelrosa farbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich dann die Bäume aus dem Winterscape Trees and Deer Set von ScrappyTails gestanzt und zusammen mit einigen Schneelagen auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Und damit alles zur rosafarbenen Karte passt, habe ich auch den Schnee mit Copics hellrosa schattiert.

 

For the background I embossed a piece of light pink cardstock with the Frosted Filigre embossing folder by HoneyBeeStamps. It's made to fit a 5 x 7 card so I cut it smaller. That makes me loose quite  a bit of the pattern, but there's still enough of it left. 

I inked the edges of the cardstock with Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves. Then I used a brayer to apply some white pigment ink to the raised parts of the pattern and also added splatters of light and dark pink metallic watercolor.

From white cardstock I cut the trees from Winterscape Trees and Deer by ScrappyTails and adhered it onto the background, adding some layers of snowy ground inbetween. And to make the ground and trees go with the pink theme of this card I shaded the snow a soft pink using my Copics.

 

 Natürlich brauchte die Szene auch ein Motiv. Also habe ich den Briefkasten aus einem Freebie von Scrappytails aus rosafarbenem und weißem Cardstock sowie matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics schattiert. Die kleinen Schneehäubchen auf dem Fähnchen, dem Schild und dem Ständer gehören eigentlich zum Zaun des Vintage Post AddOn Sets, passen aber auch hier super. 

Die kleinen Vögel sind aus dem selben Set. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert - natürlich in grau und pink.

 

Of course the scene needed an image. So I die cut the mailbox from a Freebie set by ScrappyTails from pink and white cardstock and also some matte silver metallic cardstock, then shaded the pieces with Copics. The small piles of snow I added to some pieces of the mailbox originally fit the fence of the Vintage Post AddOn set, but they also fit the mailbox.

The small birds are from the same set. I cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics - of course in greys and pinks.

 

 Den Text für meine Karte habe ich oben zwischen den Bäumen aufgeklebt. 

Mit silbernem Embossingpulver habe ich "Brr, it's cold outside" auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und dabei Stempel von StudioG benutzt.

Der gestanzte Text darunter ist aus dem Winterscape Trees and Deer Set und lautet eigentlich "sending warm winter wishes". Das war aber zu groß für meine Karte, also habe ich nur den "warm wishes" Teil benutzt, der praktischerweise zusammenhängt. Ich habe drei pinkfarbene Lagen aufeinander und dann etwas versetzt auf ein schwarzes Stanzteil geklebt. Die obere pinkfarbene Lage ist wieder ein wenig schattiert.

 

The text I adhered at the top of the card, between the tree tops. 

I heat embossed a "brr, it's cold outside" with silver embossing powder onto black cardstock using stamps by StudioG.

The die cut text under it is again from Winterscape Trees and Deer and originally reads "sending warm winter wishes". But that was too large for my card so I only used the "warm wishes" part, that is connected. I stacked three pink layers and glued those a bit offset onto a layer cut from black cardstock. The top most pink layer is again shaded with Copics.

 

 Zwischen die einzelnen Baum- und Schneelagen habe ich 3D Tape gesetzt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann einige rosa-irisierende Glitzersteine auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape between the layers of snow and trees.

I added some pink iridescent rhinestones as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.
