Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge im August 2026

"Food and Drink" ist das Thema der SSS IG Challenge diesen Monat. Und weil ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte, welches der beiden Themen ich umsetzen wollte, habe ich einfach beides auf eine Karte gepackt.

"Food and Drink" is the theme of the SSS IG challenge  this month. And because I couldn't decide which of the two  themes I wanted to put on my card I simply combined the two on one card.

 

Beim Durchsuchen meiner Essens-Stanzen bin ich auf die Taco-Stanze von SimonSaysStamp gestoßen. Die habe ich schon etwas länger, bis jetzt aber nicht eingeweiht. Na da wurde es aber Zeit! Und weil Tacos und Margaritas irgendwie zusammengehören, befindet sich neben zwei Tacos auch eine Margarita auf meiner Karte. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus lachsfarbenem Cardstock, den ich mit einem Embossinfolder  von Action geprägt habe, so dass er ein Konfettimuster hat. Die Ränder habe ich ein wenig mit einem leicht dunkleren Farbton gewischt und  dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.  

 

When going through my food related dies I came across the Taco die  by SimonSaysStamp. I have that since a bit of time but never used it so far. It was about time! And because tacos and margaritas belong together there are not only two tacos but also a margarita on my card.

The background is made from salmon colored cardstock, that I dry embossed with an embossing folder by Action so it has a confetti pattern now. I darkened the edges slightly with a bit darker ink of the same tone and then splattered white acrylic paint on top.

 

 Die beiden Tacos habe  ich mit dem Build a Taco Stanzenset gemacht. Ich habe die Teile aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und bis auf die Fleischstücke und die Zwiebeln mit Distress Inks in passenden Tönen etwas  schattiert. Auf die Taco-Hülle habe ich dann noch etwas braune, mit Wasser verdünnte Tinte aufgespritzt. 

Die mit Salat, Tomate, Fleisch, Zwiebeln und Käse gefüllten Tacos habe ich dann etwas überlappend aufeinander geklebt ujnd darunter jeweils einen Schatten aus dunkel-lachsfarbenem Cardstock in Form eines schmalen Ovals gesetzt.

Hier unten habe ich auch den Text meiner Karte angebracht. Die gestempelten Teile sind aus Henry's Build a Sentiment Sets, das Wort Taco habe ich mit dem Henry's  ABCs Stanzenset, beides von LawnFawn, gemacht. Das Wort Taco besteht aus einer grünen und einer schwarzen Lage, die ich leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt habe. Die gestempelten Worte sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

 

I made those two tacos  using the  Build a Taco die. I die cut the pieces from colored cardstock and except for the meat and the onions shaded them all with Distress Inks in matching colors. Onto the taco shell I also splattered some watered down brown ink.

I glued the tacos, that are filled  with lettuce, tomatoes, meat, onions and cheese,  a bit overlapping onto each other and then put a shadow under each. I made those from a bit darker cardstock in a matching color by die cutting some thin ovals. 

Down here, at the bottom of  the card, I added my text. The stamped parts are made using the Henry's Build a Sentiment stamp sets, the word taco is made using the Henry's ABCs die set, both by LawnFawn. The word taco is made from a black and a green layer, that I glued onto each other a bit offset. The stamped words are white heat embossed onto black cardstock. 

 

 Hinter den Tacos habe ich im oberen Teil der Karte meine Margarita aufgeklebt. Die ist mit dem Build-a-Drink Margarita AddOn Stanze von LawnFawn gemacht. Am Glasrand befindet sich eine Limettenscheibe, außerdem habe ich hier einen dünnen Streifen Clear Rock Candy Glitter von Ranger aufgeklebt. Der sieht aus wie ein Salzrand. Die Flüssigkeit habe ich aus hellgelbem Cardstock gestanzt und von unten ein wenig mit Twisted Citron gewischt. 

Hinter dem Drink befinden sich noch zwei Partygirlanden. Die sind mit der Fringed Scalloped Border Stanze von MFT gemacht. Beide Girlanden sind mit je einem Stanzteil aus schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. Die einzelnen kleinen Streifen habe ich mit dem Finger etwas nach oben gebogen. 

 

Behind the tacos, in the upper half of the card, I glued on my margarita. I made that with the Build-a-Drink Margarita AddOn by LawnFawn. There's a lime slice put over the brim of the glass. I also added a thin line of Distress Rock Candy Glitter along the brim because it looks like salt. The liquid I die cut from light yellow cardstock and inked the bottom with a bit of Twisted Citron.

Behind the drink I've hung up two party banners. Those are made with the Finged Scalloped Border dies by MFT. I added  a layer cut from black cardstock behind each banner, then bent the little strip upwards a bit with my fingers. 

 

 Die beiden Tacos und die Texte sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Als Deko habe ich einige rote Enamel Dots of der Karte verteilt, außerdem habe ich zwei rote Herzen in das O des Worts Taco geklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling angebracht.

 

I adhered the tacos and the text with foam tape. As decoration I added a few red Enamel Dots and also two red clay hearts onto the O of the word taco.

Then I glued the card panel to a white note card. 

 

Have a colorful birthday

Erinnert  Ihr Euch an das Bücherstapel-Monster, das ich Euch vor kurzem gezeigt habe? Ich hatte ja gesagt, dass ich das für meine Nichte zum Geburtstag gemacht habe. Ich habe gelogen! Nun ja, nicht wirklich. Als ich die Karte gemacht habe - und den Blogpost geschrieben habe - war das tatsächlich der Plan. Aber irgendwie fühlte es sich nicht richtig an und ich habe sie kurzerhand gefragt, ob sie einen Geburtstagswunsch hat. Es wurden dann letztendlich Coco Wyo Malbücher. Und weil ich den Gutscheinhalter dann nicht mehr brauchte, habe ich kurzerhand eine weitere Karte gemacht, die vom Thema her zu Malbüchern passte. Und hier ist sie.

Do you remember the stack of books monster I shared with you a little ago? I had said that I made it for as my niece's birthday gift. Well, I lied. Okay, not really. Because when I made it - and wrote the blog post - that was the plan. But it didn't feel right to me so I just asked her if she has a wish. Of course she did and I got her some Coco Wyo coloring books. And because I didn't need a giftcard holder anymore I went ahead and made her a new card that went with the coloring books. And here it is.

 

Ich habe, von der Deko abgesehen, eine One-Layer-Card gemacht und die durfte richtig bunt werden. 

Für die Stifte habe ich den Hintergrund aus Just Write von SimonSaysStamp leicht schräg zweimal auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst. 

Dann habe ich die Stifte mit Distress Inks coloriert und dabei einen großen Stapel an Distress Kissen verwendet. Die einzelnen Kombis nenne ich Euch gleich. Nach dem Colorieren der Stifte habe ich die Bereiche dazwischen mit Seedless Preserves richtig dunkel eingefärbt und über alles mit einem Pinsel ein wenig Distress Mica Stain London Fog gespritzt. Ganz fein, es sollte nur ein wenig glitzern. 

 

Not counting the decorations I made a one layer card here and went really colorful.

For the pencils I white heat embossed the pencil background from Just Write by SimonSaysStamp twice a bit slanted onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. 

And then I brought out a big pile of Distress Inks to color the pencils in. I will let you know the colors I used for each pencil in the description of the next two pictures. After coloring the pencils in I used Seedless Preserves to color the areas between the pencils a very dark reddish purple. Then I used a brush to add some fine splatters of Distress Mica Stain London Fog - just to add a bit of sparkle.

 

 Die Stifte auf diesem Ausschnit sind - von oben nach unten mit Twisted Citron und Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed und Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet und Aged Mahogany sowie Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner coloriert. Für die Radiergummi-Enden habe ich Tattered Rose und Worn Lipstick, für die Holzteile Antique Linen und Brushed Corduroy verwendet. Die Metallteile zwischen Radiergummi und Stift sind mit Hickory Smoke eingefärbt.

Nach dem Trocknen habe ich nur entlang der embossten Linien die Schatten mit Polychromos verstärkt. Damit habe ich dann auch eine leichte Maserung auf die Holzteile sowie einige Linien auf die Metallteile aufgemalt. Außerdem habe ich auf der linken Seite und unter jedem Stift einen feinen Schatten aufgemalt. 

 

The pencils on this close up are - from top to bottom - colored with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany and Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner. For the erasers I used Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick, for the wooden pieces Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy. The metall pieces between the eraser and pencil I colored with Hickory Smoke.

After the panel had dried I used Polychromos to deepen the shadows just along the embossed lines. I also used these to add a wooden pattern to the wooden pieces and some lines to the metall pieces. I also drew a drop shadow on the left side and under each pencil.

 

 Die Stifte im unteren Bereich sind dann mit Scattered Straw und Fossilized Amber, Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers sowie Mowed Lawn und Rustic Wilderness coloriert. 

Auf die Stifte habe ich dann an die Stelle, auf der normalerweise der Name des Herstellers eingebrannt wird, kleine Texte aufgestempelt. Auf dem gelben Stift, der quer über die komplette Karte läuft, habe ich den Haupttext untergebracht. Die Texte sind aus den Stempelsets Itty Bitty Birthday und Itty Bitty Celebrations von MFT, nur das Wort "colorful" ist aus dem Set Brilliant Day von HoneyBeeStamps. Die Texte habe ich alle mit Versafine Clair Nocturne aufgestempelt. 

 

The pencils in the lower half of the card are made with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber, Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness.

In the area where usually the pencil brand is written on I added some small texts and put the main text onto the yellow pencil that goes all over the card. The texts are from Itty Bitty Birthday and Itty Bitty Celebrations  by MFT, only the word "colorful" is from Brilliant Day by HoneyBeeStamps. I stamped the texts onto the pencils with Versafine Clair Nocturne. 

 

 Auf die Metallringe der Stifte habe ich mit einem Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen einen metallischen Schimmer aufgetragen, der aber die Details der Coloration nicht überdeckt.

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Sterne sowie klare Glitzersteine auf dem Hintergrund verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Penon the metall rings on the pencil, that adds some  metallic shimmer but doesn't cover the details in the coloring.  

I added some white clay hearts and clear rhinestones as decoration and then glued the card panel to a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte zur Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge. Das Video diesen Monat ist über die Peek-a-Boo Karte. Wer schon länger stempelt, kennt die auf jeden Fall, denn vor einigen Jahren waren die mal sehr in. Und von etwa dieser Zeit ist auch das Video, das das Thema diesen Monat zeigt. Und wie es der Zufall will, hatten wir dazu auch auf dem Stempeleinmaleins eine Anleitung. Die musste ich zwar etwas suchen - mit den deutschen Namen der Karten bin ich noch  nie zurecht gekommen - aber ich habe sie gefunden und hatte so auch gleich die Anleitung in Zentimetern zur Hand.

Today I am sharing with you my card for the Technique Throwback Thursday challenge. This month's video is about the peek-a-boo card. If you've been stamping for any length of time you for sure remember these, a few years back they have been all over the stamping world. And that's also when the video, that shows this month's theme,  was released. Luckily we from Stempeleinmaleins also had a tutorial back then - I had to search for it because I never was good in remembering the german names of special cards- but I found it and that meant, I had the metric measurements at hand.

 

Auf der Vorderseite meiner Karte sieht man - einen Teil - des großen Blumenmotivs aus dem Set Sunflower Garden von SimonSaysStamp. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte auf das Vorderteil der Karte gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Da ich hier anderen Cardstock benutzt habe, als ich es üblicherweise beim Colorieren tue (der war einfach nicht stabil genug für eine komplette Karte) war es eine ganz schöne Herausforderung, das Motiv zu colorieren. Die Farben schauen ja auf jedem Papier etwas anders aus, und was beim einen zusammenpasst, muss das nicht auch bei einem anderen Papier tun. Aber letztendlich habe ich es doch geschafft.

Ich habe auf die fertig colorierte Front hellrosa Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt und außerdem einen dünnen Rahmen mit einem schwarzen Fineliner aufgemalt. 

 

On the front I used - part of - the large flower image from Sunflower Garden by SimonSaysStamp. I stamped it with black ink onto the card front and colored it with Copics. Since I used a different cardstock than I usually do for my coloring - that one was too flimsy to make a full card from it - it was kind of a challenge to get the coloring done. The colors look different on each cardstock and a combo that works on one might not on another one. But I managed to get it done.

I added splatters of light pink metallic watercolor over the colored card front and also drew a thin frame with a black finelienr.

 

Der Text hier auf der Kartenfront ist mit dem hello aus dem Set Delicate Garden von AlteNew und einem Thinking of you aus Greetings and Salutations von MFT zusammengesetzt. Ich habe beide weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ausgeschnitten und aufgeklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch drei kleine rosafarbene Herzen aufgeklebt. 

 

The text on the card front is made with the hello from Delicate Garden von Altenew and a thinking of you from Greetings and Salutations by MFT. I white heat embossed both onto black cardstock, cut them out and glued them down.

As decoration I added three small pink clay hearts.

 

Wer die Peek-a-Boo Karte kennt, der weiß, dass sich hier ein Fenster auf der Karte befindet, dessen Inhalt sich nach dem Öffnen der Karte ändert. Ich habe mein Fenster in der Blumenmitte der Blume oben rechts "versteckt". Fällt so erstmal kaum auf. Wenn man die Karte dann öffnet, sieht sie so aus:

 

If you know peek-a-boo cards you also know, that there's a window on the card front, the changes when you open the card. I've created mine in the center of the flower on the top right. It's kind of hidden at first, but when you open the card, it looks like that: 

 

 Auch hier habe ich das große Blumenmotiv aufgestempelt, dannn aber nur die Blume mit dem Fenster coloriert. Auf der linken Seite könnt Ihr übrigens das Fenster, das in die Vorderseite der Karte geschnitten ist, sehen.

Auch hier habe ich hellrosa Metallic-Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

Again I used the large flower image but only colored the flower with the window. On the left side you can see the window that I cut into the card front.

Again I splattered pink metallic watercolor over the cardstock.

 

 Und in der Blumenmitte, die auch hier ein Fenster ist, erscheint wie von Zauberhand ein kleiner Marienkäfer als Glücksbringer. Und ja, wenn man es genau betrachtet, bräuchte man die ganze Technik gar nicht und hätte innen einfach eine weitere Blume mit Käfer aufstempeln können. Aber der Effekt, wenn das Motiv wie durch Magie ins Fenster gleitet, ist einfach toll. Das war das kleine bisschen mehr Arbeit wert.

 Übrigens kann man die Karte innen natürlich auch komplett anders gestalten als auf der Vorderseite, so wird der Überraschungseffekt noch größer. Aber mir gefällt es so sehr gut. 

 

And in the flower center, that's again a window here, a little ladybug as a lucky charm just magically appears. And yes, if you think about it, of course I could have skipped all the technique and just stamp another flower, this time with the ladybug, onto the inside of the card. But the effect, when the image magically slides into the window, is just great and worth the just a bit more work.

By the way, of course you can create the outside and inside of the card completly different and make the surprise even bigger. But I liked the more subtle effect.  

 

Hier im Inneren habe ich ein wishing you lots of luck aus dem Set Lots of Luck, ebenfalls von SimonSaysStamp, als Haupttext verwendet. Aus dem selben Set ist übrigens auch der kleine Marienkäfer. 

Und dann konnte ich mich nicht entscheiden, welchen Zusatztext ich dazu kombinieren wollte. Zum Glück ist im Inneren der Karte jede Menge Platz, deswegen habe ich einfach zwei aufgeklebt. Die sind wieder aus dem Set Greetings and Salutations von MFT und weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Und auch im Inneren der Karte habe ich drei kleine rosafarbene Herzen aufgeklebt.

 

Here on the inside I used a wishing you lots of luck from the set Lots of Luck by SimonSaysStamp as the main text. From the same set is also the little ladybug.

And then I just couldn't decide which subtext I wanted to use. Luckily there's lots of room on the inside of the card and I simply added two. They are again from Greetings and Salutations by MFT and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. And also on the inside of the card I added three small pink clay hearts as decoration.

 

Toi, Toi, Toi!

Inzwischen haben wir ja so einige Feste aus den USA - und anderen Teilen der Welt - übernommen, St. Patrick's Day wird für mich aber nie dazu gehören. Trotzdem haben mich all die Kleeblätter, die man momentan auf Karten sieht, inspiriert und ich habe sie auf diese frühlingshafte Karte gepackt.

We in Germany have taken in quite some holidays from the US - and other parts of the world. But to me St. Patrick's Day will never be one of them. But I still got inspired by all the shamrock cards I've seen lately and put some on this spring card.

 

Als Basis diente hier ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock, dessen Mitte ich per Ink Shmooshing mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean hellblau eingefärbt habe. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich einVideo gesehen, ich weiß nicht mehr von wem, in dem eine Art Knödel aus Zewa gemacht wurde, der dann in Folie gepackt wurde. Die Enden werden zu einem kleinen Griff gedreht. Damit wurde dann die mit Wasser verdünnte Tinte aufgetragen, was dann viel kontrollierter geht, als auf die herkömmliche Art. Ihr wisst ja, ich bin ein Kontrollfreak. Aber so macht auch mir das Ink Smooshing super viel Spaß - und 100 % kontrollierbar ist es trotzdem nicht.

Auf den hellblau eingefärbten Bereich habe ich nach dem Trocknen noch hellrosa Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I used a piece of watercolor cardstock as the base here and colored its center a light blue by doing ink smooshing with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. A while ago I saw a video, and once again I don't remember who made it, where they made a ball from a paper towel and covered that with thin plastic. The ends were twisted and formed some kind of small handle. This was used to apply the watered down ink and that was so much more controllable than the usual way of doing ink smooshing. You know me, I am a control freak. But done like that even I can enjoy it, and it's still not completly controllable.

After the background had dried I splattered some light pink metallic watercolor onto the blue area.

 

 Die Wiese samt dem Klee habe ich dann mit dem Lots of Luck Stempelset von SimonSaysStamp gestaltet. Ich habe alles mit verschiedenen Stempelkissen von MFT und SU auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Und weil das Gras nicht ganz bis an den Rand der Karte reichte, habe ich rechts und links noch etwas davon direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

Und dann fiel mir das 4 Leaf Clover Stempelset von ColoradoCraft in die Hände. Der kleine Hamster, der stolz das gerade gefundene vierblättrige Kleeblatt in die Luft reckt, war doch das perfekte Motiv für meine Wiese. Ich habe es mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt umd mit Copics coloriert. Ich wollte lieber eine kleine Maus statt eines Hamsters, also habe ich Grautöne gewählt und beim Colorieren die Ohren minimal vergrößert. Für die Details habe ich dann Polychromos eingesetzt, die Highlights auf allen Motiven sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Auch dieses Motiv habe ich ausgeschnitten und die Kleewiese, in der der Hamster eigentlich sitzt, dabei weggeschnitten. 

 

I created the meadow with the clovers using the Lots of Luck stamp set by SimonSaysStamp, stamping it with different inks by MFT and SU onto white cardstock. Then I cut the image out by hand. And because the grass didn't reach to the edge of my background I simply stamped some more of it directly onto the watercolor cardstock. 

And then I came across the 4 Leaf Clover set by ColoradoCraft. This little hamster, that's proudly holding up the shamrock he just found, was the perfect image for my meadow. I stamped it with the NoLine ink pad by InkOn3 and colored it with Copics. I wanted a mouse instead of a hamster, so I went with greys and made the ears a tad bit larger. For the details I brought in my Polychromos, the highlights on all the images are made with a white gel pen. I cut this image out with my scissors again, cutting off the field of clovers this hamster is originally sitting in. 

 

 Für die Texte kamen dann Produkte von Create a Smile zum Einsatz.

Der gestanzte Text ist mit dem Set Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten gemacht. Ich liebe die Bordürenstanze, deren Kante der oberen Linienführung der gestanzten Worte entspricht. Ich habe sie hier aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf dann die Worte, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. 

Die gestempelten Texte sind aus dem Set Glücksbringer und jeweils weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst. Einen dieser Texte habe ich unter den gestanzten Text, den anderen oben links auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

For the texts I used products by Create a Smile.

The die cut text is made with the Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten set. I love the border die, that matches the top edge of the die cut words. I cut it from white cardstock and glued the individual words, cut from green cardstock, onto it.

The stamped texts are from Glücksbringer and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I adhered one of them under the die cut words, the other one to the to left of the background.

 

 Die Wiese mit dem Klee ist direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Maus ist mit dünnem, der Cardstockstreifen mit dem gestanzten Texte mit dickem 3D Tape angebracht. Beim Kleeblatt, das die Maus hochhält, habe ich  nur die Blätter mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, so dass das etwas weiter hervorsteht. Und auch den Text oben auf der Karte habe ich damit aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich dann ein paar kleine rosafarbene Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the meadow with the clover directly onto the background. I backed the mouse with thin, the cardstock strip with the die cut text with thick foam tape. I put a piece of that just behind the shamrock, the mouse is holding, to make it stand up a bit more. And I also put thick foam tape behind the text strip in the top left of the card.

I added some pink clay hearts as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

The theme of Simon Says Stamp's IG challenge is "shaker card". The Snack Attack series by HeroArts came right in time for that - chips always make such a great sound inside the bag...

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück blauen Cardstocks mit dem All Star Burst Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp Strahlen und Sterne eingeprägt. Die Ränder des Cardstocks habe ich mit Distress Ink Prize Ribbon abgedunkelt und dann ein goldenes Metallic-Stempelkissen über die erhabenen Stellen des Designs gezogen, um das Muster besser hervorzuheben.

 

For the background I dry embossed stars and rays into a piece of blue cardstock using the All Star Burst embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp. I inked the edges of the cardstock piece with Distress Ink Prize Ribbon and then dragged a gold metallic pigment stamp pad over the raised areas to bring out the pattern more.

 

 Schon als ich die Chipstüten-Stanze von HeroArts das erste Mal gesehen habe, war ich in sie verliebt. Nun war sie endlich auch hier bei uns zu bekommen - und ja, natürlich habe ich mir gleich das All That Bundle mit Stanzen, Stencil und passendem Stempelset gekauft. Alles drei kam hier zum Einsatz.

Ich habe die Chipstüte einmal aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock und einmal aus normalem weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Außerdem habe ich die oberen und unteren Teile aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt.

Von der weißen Tüte habe ich die versiegelten Kanten weg- und außerdem in den mittleren Teil ein Fenster geschnitten. Die hellblauen Teile habe ich zuerst mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean schattiert und dafür den Stencil benutzt. Anschließend habe ich hier etwas klaren Nuvo Aqua Shimmer aufgetragen. Dadurch ist leider der Kontrast der Schattierungen verloren gegangen und ich habe sie kurzerhand mit Copics nachgemalt. 

Die Chipstüte habe ich dann ein weiteres Mal aus Folie gestanzt und auch hier die Kanten oben und unten weggeschnitten. Auf die Folie habe ich dann mittig mit schwarzem StazOn das große Chip Chip Hooray aufgestempelt. Und weil die Strahlen größer als der Mittelteil sind, habe ich sie mit schwarzer Tinte auch noch deckungsgleich auf die hellblauen Streifen der Tüte gestempelt. 

Auch die Chpis sind in dem Set enthalten - ebenfalls mit passenden Stencils. Ich habe sie mehrfach aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen gelben Cardstocks gestanzt und dabei normale und geriffelte Chips gemischt. Das Muster habe ich mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed und Fossilized Amber aufgewischt und anschließend feine Spritzer von Brushed Corduroy auf den Chips verteilt. 

Einige der Chips habe ich unten auf/hinter die Tüte geklebt, die übrigen habe ich verwendet, um den Shaker zu füllen. Zusätzlich habe ich einige gelb-irisierende Pailetten eingefüllt. Der silberne Metallic-Cardstock ist durch das Fenster zu sehen und sieht aus wie die Innenseite einer Chipstüte.

Mit Stempeln aus dem How You Bean Money Add-On Set von LawnFawn habe ich noch den Text auf dem unteren Teil der Tüte gestaltet. Das "treat yourself" ist mit schwarzem Cardstock auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt, der Text darunter ist weiß direkt auf die Tüte embosst.

Oben habe ich die Tüte mit drei kleinen Sternen aus gelbem Cardstock dekoriert. Außerdem habe ich hier noch den Preis aus dem Comic Book Cover Stempel von WhimsyStamps, schwarz auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt, aufgeklebt. Ich fand, der passt hier super.

 

As soon as I saw the bag of chips die set by HeroArts I was hooked. It was finally available here in Germany and yes, of course I had to get the All That bundle with the dies, matching stencil and a stamp set. I used all three on this card.

 I die cut the bag of chips from matte silver metallic cardstock and from regular white cardstock. The smaller upper and lower pieces I cut from light blue cardstock. 

From the white die cut I cut off the sealed strips at the bottom and top and also cut a window into the center. The light blue pieces I first shaded with the stencil and Distress Ink Salty Ocean, then covered it with a clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen. That let the shaded areas fade out and I simply used Copics to draw them on again.  

I cut the bag of chips again from acetate and again cut off the sealed strips. Onto the center of the acetate I stamped the large Chip Chip Hooray using black StazOn. And since the text was too large to fit the center piece I stamped the ends of the rays onto the light blue pieces, also, making the postion match the one of the text on the acetate.

 The chips are also included in the set. I die cut them from two different shades of yellow cardstock, mixing both regular and rippled ones. I shaded them with the stencil and Distress Ink Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber, then added some fine splatters of Brushed Corduroy. 

I glued some of the chips onto and behind the bag and used the others to fill the shaker, putting some yellow-iridescent into the mix. The silver metallic cardstock is visitble behind the actetate, looking like the inside of a real bag of chips. 

Using Stamps from How You Bean Money Add-On by LawnFawn I created the text on the bottom of the bag. I stamped the "treat yourself" with black ink onto yellow cardstock, the text under it I white heat embossed directly onto the blue cardstock.

The top of the bag I decorated with three small yellow stars. I also added the prize tag of the Comic Book Cover by WhimsyStamps, stamped black onto yellow cardstock. I just thought it worked great on that bag of chips.

 

Ich weiß ja nicht, wie es Euch geht - aber wenn da eine offene Tüte Chips vor einem liegt, dann muss  man einfach hineingreifen. ;)

Um der Tüte den geöffneten Look zu geben, habe ich die untere Verschlusskante nochmal aus dem matt-silbernen Metallic Cardstock gestanzt, an den Seiten etwas gekürzt und mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter die obere Kante der Tüte geklebt. Zwischen die beiden Lagen habe ich drei weitere Chips geklebt. Und eines der Chips nimmt gerade eine Hand aus der Tüte.

Die Hand ist aus dem Crafty Hands Set von MFT. Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Dann habe ich die Hand am Chip befestigt und den Überstand des Arms weggeschnitten. 

 

I don't know about you - but when there is an open bag of chips laying in front of me I just have to reach into it. ;)

To add the opened look to the bag I die cut the bottom sealed edge again from the matte silver mirror cardstock and cut off a bit at the sides. Then I glued that with thin foam tape behind the top edge of the bag. Between the two layers I tucked three more chips. One of them is just taken out by a hand.

The hand is from Crafty  Hands by MFT. I cut the pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copics. Then I attached the hand to one of the chips and cut off the overhanging part of the arm.

 

 Durch den embossten Cardstock und den Shaker hat die Karte bereits einge gewisse Tiefe. Und auch auf weitere Deko habe ich verzichtet und habe nur mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen auf den dunkelblauen Cardstock gemalt. Dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

The card has already some dimension due to the embossed cardstock and the shaker. I also didn't add any more decorations and only drew a frame onto the background using a white gel pen. Then I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Winterkarte mit Frühlingstouch

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ich komme langsam an den Punkt - im Bastel- wie auch im richtigen Leben -, an dem ich mich nach dem Frühling sehne, auch wenn ich natürlich weiß, dass der noch ein wenig auf sich warten lassen wird. Aber immer dann, wenn ich an diesem Punkt angekommen bin, fangen draußen die Schneeglöckchen an zu blühen. Und genau das drückt meine heutige Karte aus. 

 

Hello everyone!

I am coming to the point - in real life as in my crafting - where I am longing for spring, knowing it will take a little longer until it's here. But everytime I reach that point, the snowdrops start blooming in my garden. And that's what I tried to put onto this card.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus dunkeltürkis farbenem Cardstock. Ich habe ein Stück, etwas kleiner als mein Kartenrohling, und ein weiteres Stück, dass ich passend zu dem Schneeflockenrahmen zugeschnitten habe, jeweils mit dem Pixie Snowflake Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp embosst und zwar so, dass das Muster fortlaufend ist, wenn das kleinere Stück mittig auf dem größeren liegt. 

Den Snowflake Frame, ebenfalls von SimonSaysStamp, habe ich aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock gestanzt und darauf das kleinere Stück Cardstock aufgeklebt. 

Auf die erhabenen Stellen der Prägung habe ich dann ein weißes Stempelkissen gedrückt, um die große Schneeflocke etwas mehr hervorzuheben. Außerdem habe ich die Punkte rund um die Schneeflocke mit eine klaren Glitzer-Gelstift nachgemalt. 

 

The background is made from dark turquoise cardstock. I cut one piece slightly smaller than my card base, another one I cut to go with the snowflake frame. Then I dry embossed the large snowflake into both pieces using the Pixie Snowflake embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp and making sure, that the pattern is continuous when the smaller pieces lays centered on the larger one.

The Snowflake Frame, also by SimonSaysStamp, I die cut from white pearlescent cardstock, and cut the smaller embossed cardstock onto it.

I pressed a white pigment ink pad onto the raised areas of the snowflake to bring it out a bit more. Then I put some glitter onto the dots, using a clear glitter gel pen.

 

 Auf der Karte fliegt eine Taube. Aber statt einem Olivenzweig hat diese hier ein kleines Schneeglöckchen im Schnabel und verkündet so den nahenden Frühling.

Die Taube ist mit dem Peaceful Dove Stanzenset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht. Ich habe sie dreimal aus drei verschiedenen Tönen türkisfarbenen Cardstocks gestanzt und dabei aus der hellsten Taube die eigentlich als Aufleger gedachten Dekoelemente am Rücken und Schwanz herausgestanzt. Am Rücken habe ich dann ein Stück aus dem mittleren Farbton eingesetzt, außerdem befindet sich eine komplette Taube aus diesem Farbton hinter der ersten. Ich habe alle Teile der Taube mit Copics ein wenig schattiert und sie dann leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Auf die Flügel und den Schwanz habe ich ein wenig Schimmer aufgetragen.

Das Schneeglöckchen, das die Taube im Schnabel trägt, ist eines aus dem Büschel aus Schneeglöckchenpracht Klein von CreativeDepot. Ich habe es aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

 

There's a dove flying on my card. Instead of an olive branch she's carrying a small snowdrop, proving that spring will be here soon.

I made the dove using the Peaceful Dove die set by SimonSaysStamp. I cut it three times, using three different shades of turquoise cardstock. There are dies that cut some decor elements for the tail and the back. I cut those from the lightest of my doves and put the piece on the back in, cut from the middle tone of cardstock. Then I glued that lightest dove onto a whole one, cut from the middle shade of cardstock. I shaded all pieces of the dove with Copics and then glued all three layers on top of each other, setting them a bit off. Onto the wings and tail I added a bit of a clear shimmer.

The snowdrop in the dove's beak is one from the bushel of snowdrops from Schneeglöckchenpracht Klein by CreativeDepot. I cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

 

 Auf der rechten Seite der Karte wächst ebenfalls ein Schneeglöckchen, diesmal aber ein größeres. Diese Stanze ist ebenfalls von CreativeDepot, diemal habe ich das Großes Schneeglöckchen benutzt. Auch das ist aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Der Schneehügel, aus dem es herauswächst, ist mit einer der Grounding Elements Stanze von MFT gemacht.

 

On the right side of the card there's another snowdrop, this time a larger one. The die is again from CreativeDepot and is called Großes Schneeglöckchen. I again cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

The pile of snow, that it's growing out of, is made using one of the dies from Grounding Elements by MFT.

Das kleine Hello ist aus dem Itty Bitty Baby Set von MFT und schwarz auf helltürkis farbenen Cardstock gestempelt.

Das Wort Spring darunter ist aus dem Stanzenset Great Greetings Spring von HoneyBeeStamps. Ich habe die Schattenlage aus helltürkis farbenen Cardstock gestanzt, das Wort an sich zweimal aus weißem Schimmer-Cardstock. 

 

The text I adhered to the bottom left of my card.

The small word hello is from Itty Bitty Baby by MFT and stamped black onto light aqua cardstock.

The word spring under it is from Great Greetings Spring by HoneyBeeStamps. I cut the shadow layer from light aqua cardstock, the word two times from white pearlescent cardstock.

 

 Ich habe den Schneeflockenrahmen mit 3D Tape auf den dunkeltürkis farbenen Cardstock geklebt. Darauf habe ich dann, ebenfalls mit 3D Tape, die Taube und den Text aufgeklebt. Hinter dem großen Schneeglöckchen habe ich das Tape dann aufgedoppelt.

Als Deko habe ich einige weiße Perlen auf dem Hintergrund verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the snowflake frame with foam tape to the background. Then I put the dove and text on top, using foam tape again. Behind the snowdrop I doubled up the foam tape.

I added some white pearls to the background, then adhered the card panel toa  white note card.

 

Eine Karte mit Watercolors

Ich coloriere eher selten mit Watercolors, aber hin und wieder steht mir genau danach der Sinn. Als ich auf der Suche nach einer Hintergrundidee für eine andere Karte über den Winter Floral Mix Background von SimonSaysStamp gestolpert bin, war die Idee zur nächsten, eher einfachen Karte geboren.

I don't color with watercolors very often, but every now and then I just feel like it. When I was looking for a background idea for a card I showed you some time ago and stumbled across the Winter Floral Mix Background by SimonSaysStamp the idea for this, a bit on the simpler side, card was born.

 

Ich habe besagten Winter Floral Mix Background weiß auf ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock embosst und ihn dann mit Distress Ink Refills coloriert. Wobei coloriert hier fast ein wenig übertrieben ist. Ich habe erst eine Lage Salvaged Patina auf dem gesamten Cardstock verteilt. Die Blumen habe ich dann it Peacock Feathers und Uncharted Mariner abgedunkelt, für die Zweige kam Evergreen Bough und Pine Needles, für die Beeren Rustic Wilderness dazu. Und ich habe hier nicht sehr genau auf die Outlines geachtet. Die halten die Farbe ein wenig in Schach, wenn sich aber die Farben irgendwo ein wenig gemischt haben, war das nicht schlimm. Um die Zweige und Beeren habe ich das sogar bewusst gemacht. 

Insgesamt ist der Hintergrund kräftiger ausgefallen, als ich geplant hatte, aber schließlich ist er auch der Hauptakteur auf der Karte. 

Auf den getrockneten Hintergrund habe ich dann weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Außerdem habe ich mit dem Poinsettia Stencil von  WaffleFlower mit klarer, matter Paste einige Blütenblätter entlang der Ränder aufgetragen. Den Stencil habe ich dabei immer partiell so aufgelegt, wie es mir am besten gefallen hat. In die feuchte Paste habe ich dann Distress Clear Rock Candy eingestreut. 

 

I white heat embossed said Winter Floral Mix Background onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and then colored it with Distress Ink Refills. Well, coloring might be a bit of an exaggeration. I first covered  everything with a layer of Salvaged Patina. Then I added Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner to the flowers, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles to the branches and Rustic Wilderness to the Berries. I didn't care too much about the outlines. They kind of hold the color inside an image but in case some of it escaped and mixed with another color I didn't care too much. I actually did that on purpose around the branches and berries.

The card turned out darker than I had planned, but I am fine with that - after all it's the main element on this card. 

I splattered white acrylic paint onto the dried background.

I also used the Poinsettia Stencil by WaffleFlower to add some petals with clear pase along the edges of the cardstock. I simply used parts of the stencil, laying it down however I liked it. Into the wet paste I sprinkled some Distress Clear Rock Candy.

 

 Mittig auf die Karte habe ich meinen Text geklebt. Ein Teil bildet ein großes gestanztes Hello. Ich habe hier oben eine Lage aus weißem Perlmutt-Cardstock, darunter zwei Lagen weißen Cardstocks aufeinander geklebt. Darunter befindet sich die Shadow Layer, die ich aus Vellum gestanzt habe, und wiederum darunter zwei weitere Lagen aus weißem Cardstock. So liegt das Vellum nicht direkt auf dem Hintergrund auf.

Der Text darunter ist aus dem Set Baah, Humbug von LawnFawn und schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt. 

Rund um den Text habe ich einige Schneeflocken/Sterne aus Permutt-Cardstock sowie einige klare Glitzersteine aufgeklebt.

 

Onto the center of the card I adhered the text. Part of  it is a large die cut hello. I die cut it once  from white shimmer cardstock for the top layer  and put two layers of white cardstock behind it. Then I added the shadow layer, that I cut from vellum, and put two more white cardstock die cut behind it. This way the vellum isn't laying directly on the background. 

The text underneath is from Baah, Humbug by LawnFawn and stamped black onto white cardstock.

Around the text I glued down some snowflakes/stars, cut from white shimmer cardstock, and some clear rhinestones.

 

 Wieder mal sieht man hier den Schimmer und Glitzer viel besser...

Zum Schluss habe ich dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

At the end I attached the card panel to a white note card.

 

Warm Winter Wishes

Es geht weiter mit Winterkarten, diesmal aber mit einem heißen Getränk als Motiv.

I am continuing my series of winter cards, this time with a hot drink as the image.

 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mit einem Embossingfolder von Darice einen Schneeflockenrahmen in ein Stück grau-blauen Metallic-Cardstocks geprägt. Ich habe die Ränder mit Distress Ink Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire und ein wenig Black Soot gewischt - auf dem Metallic Cardstock wirken die Farben immer heller, da sie hier nicht so toll in den Cardstock einziehen können.

Und weil es sich um weißen, mit der Metallic-Schicht bezogenen Cardstock handelt, konnte ich hinterher mit einem Sanding Block die Schneeflocken an den erhabenen Stellen aufhellen. Anschließend habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

For the background I dry embossed a snowflake frame into a piece of grey-ish blue metallic cardstock using an embossing folder by Darice. I darkened the edges with Distress Ink Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Black Soot - the colors always look lighter on metallic cardstock because the ink can't soak into the cardstock.

And because it's a white core metallic cardstock I was able to bring out the raised snowflakes with a sanding block afterwards. 

Then I added splatters of white acrylic paint.

 

 Die Hände mit der Tasse habe ich mit dem Warm Mug Stencilset von SimonSaysStamp gemacht und mit den passenden Stanzen ausgestanzt. Die einzelnen Teile des Motivs habe ich mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers und Hickory Smoke gewischt. Auf die Hanschuhe habe ich dann jeweils weiß eine Schneeflocke aufembosst. Außerdem habe ich durch den Stencil hindurch das Strickmuster aufgestempelt und dafür wieder Hickory Smoke sowie den Close Knit Background von GinaK verwendet. 

 In der Tasse habe ich einen Shaker gestaltet. Dafür habe ich den inneren Bereich der Tasse herausgeschnitten und das Muster für die  Füllung auf einen Kreis aus braunem Cardstock gewischt. Dort befindet sich ein Herz, hier habe ich Scorched Timber und Black Soot benutzt.

Hinter das Tassenmotiv habe ich eine Lage Folie und - mit 3D Tape - dann die Tassenfüllung geklebt. Gefüllt habe ich den Shaker mit winzigen braunen Perlen und einigen weißen Schneeflocken.

 

I created the hands with the mug using the Warm Mug stencil set by SimonSaysStamp and cut it out with the matching outline dies. I used Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Hickory Smoke to ink the image. 

I white heat embossed a snowflake onto each of the mittens. I also stamped the Close Knit Background by GinaK through the stencil onto the ends of the mittens, using Hickory Smoke again.

I created a shaker inside the mug. I cut out the center of the mug and inked the filling onto a circle cut from brown cardstock. There's a heart, stenciled on with Black Soot and Scorched Timber, on this circle.

I put some acetate behind the mug and then glued on the brown circle with foam tape. I filled the shaker with tiny brown beads and some white clay snowflakes.

 

 Der Text ist mit dem Cocoa Cozy Stempelset von TheGreetery gemacht. Ich habe ihn weiß auf Vellum embosst und dann mit der Schere ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich ihn so über der Tasse angeklebt, als würde der aus der Tasse aufsteigende Dampf das Wort Warm schreiben.

Aus dem selben Stempelset ist übrigens auch die Schneeflocke auf den Handschuhen. 

 

The text is made with the  Cocoa Cozy stamp set by TheGreetery. I white heat embossed it onto vellum and cut it out with my scissors. Then I adhered it to the card, making it look like it's written from the steam coming out of the mug.

The snowflake I stamped onto the mittens is from the same stamp set.

 

Um die Höhe des Shakers auszugleichen, habe ich auch hinter die Handschuhe und das Wort Warm 3D Tape gesetzt.

Als Deko habe ich einige weitere Schneeflocken auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I put foam tape behind the mittens and the word warm to make those the same height as the shaker.

I added some more clay snowflakes as decoration to the card, then glued the card panel to a white note card.

 

Joy to the world

Ihr merkt es vielleicht - Joy to the World ist einText, den ich echt gerne verwende. Auch auf dieser Karte kam er wieder zum Einsatz - eigentlich ist er sogar der Hauptakteur.

You might have guessed it already - joy to the world is one of my most favorite christmas sentiments. I also used it on this card - actually, it's kind of the main act here.

 

 Bevor ich Euch jetzt mehr über die Karte an sich erzähle, kläre ich auf, warum da eine Pinzette auf der Karte liegt. Die  habe ich nicht vergessen, zum Fotografieren herunter zu nehmen. Sie dient vielmehr dazu, die Christbaumkugel "in Schach" zu halten. Denn zum Versenden kann sie so flach zusammengelegt werden. Zieht man die Karte aber aus dem Umschlag, dann poppt sie so aus:

 

Before I talk more about the card I am going to  tell you why there are some tweezers laying across the card. I did not accidently forget to remove them when taking the pictures. They are there as some kind of paper weight to hold down the ornament. It can be made flat for mailing. But when you pull the card out of the envelope, it pops up and looks like this:

 

 Die Idee dazu kam - natürlich - von Jennifer McGuire. Ich meine, mittig gefaltete Stanzteile zusammenzukleben, um ein 3D Element zu erhalten, ist nicht neu. Aber auf die Idee, nur eine Hälfte davon auf eine Karte zu kleben, so dass sie flach gemacht werden können und dann von selbst aufploppen, darauf wäre ich nicht gekommen.... Und nachdem sie es Anfang November in einem Video mit einem großen Tannenbaum gezeigt hatte, musste ich es ausprobieren. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus schwarzem Cardstock. Den habe ich erst mit dem All the Star Burst  Embossingfolder von SimonSaysStamp embosst. Auf die erhabenen Teile habe ich dann mit dem Finger silber-schwarzes Gilding Wax aufgetupft. Außerdem habe ich nur am Rand weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

 

The idea for this came once again from Jennifer McGuire - who else? It's nothing new to stack some die cuts, that were scored along the center, to create a 3D element. But only she can take it a step further by adhering just one side of this element to a card so it can be folded flat and pops up by itself... After she shared that idea using a large pine tree die beginning of november I just had to try it out.

The background is made from black cardstock . I dry embossed it with the All the Star Burst embossing folder by SimonSaysStamp. I dabbed some black and silver gilding wax onto the most raised areas and added splatters of white acrylic paint just along the outer edges of the cardstock.

 

 Für die Christbaumkugel habe ich eine Stanze aus dem Set Filled with Joy von MFT benutzt, nur den Aufhänger habe ich durch einen von CraftEmotions ersetzt. Ich habe die Kugel 9 mal aus grau-blauem Cardstock gestanzt und 8 davon mittig gefalzt. Die habe ich dann aufeinander geklebt. In die neunte Kugel habe ich den Stern, der aus der Mitte gestanzt wird, wieder eingesetzt, allerdings habe ich dafür einen Stern aus matt-silbernem Metallic Cardstock verwendet.

Die Schnur habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, durch den Aufhänger gezogen und alles auf den Mittelpunkt der geprägten Strahlen geklebt. Auf die Schnur habe ich eine Schleife aus weißem Twine geklebt.

In dem Stanzenset ist auch eine Stanze für das Wort Joy enthalten, das war mir aber zu breit und niedrig. Also habe ich die Buchstaben J und Y mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT ausgestanzt. Die oberste Lage ist aus matt-silbernem Metallic-Cardstock, darunter befinden sich drei Lagen schwarzen Cardstocks. Und für die unterste Lage, etwas versetzt angebracht, habe ich die Buchstaben noch  aus schräg blau-weiß gestreiftem Designpapier gestanzt. 

Die Buchstaben habe ich mit einigen Ilexblättern, jeweils hell- und dunkelgrün leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt, dekoriert. Sie sind aus dem Ornamental Tag Set von TheGreetery. Als Beeren habe ich je zwei weiße Perlen aufgeklebt. 

Mittig unter mein Joy  habe ich noch den Rest des Textes aufgeklebt. Der ist aus dem Emerald Eve Stempelset von Kaiscraft und weiß auf blau-grauen Cardstock embosst. 

 

For the tree ornament I used a die from Filled with Joy by MFT, I only replaced the hanger with one by CraftEmotions. I die cut the ornament 9 times from grey-ish blue cardstock and scored 8 of them along the center. I stacked them and used the 9th as the base. In this one I put back in the star, that gets cut from the center, just using one cut from matte silver metallic cardstock. 

I cut the string from white cardstock, put it through the hanger and adhered everything onto the center of the embossed rays. Onto the string I glued a bow tied from white twine.

In this die set there's also a die for the word joy included. It just was too wide and not tall enough for my card design. So I die cut the letters J and Y with the Impact Alphabet by MFT. The top layer is made from matte silver metallic cardstock, under it there are three layers of black cardstock. As the base layer, glued on a bit offset, I used letters that I cut from blue and white slanted striped patterned paper.  

I decorated the letters with some holly leaves, stacking one each of light and dark green cardstock. Those are from Ornamental Tag by TheGreetery. I used white pearls as berries.

Center under the joy I adhered the rest of my text. It's from Emerald Eve by Kaisercraft and white heat embossed onto blue-ish grey cardstock.

 

 Da die Kugel und die gestackten Buchstaben eine gewisse Höhe haben, habe ich den embossten Text mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Mir fehlte irgendwie noch ein Element auf der Karte, also kam mir die Idee, einen Rahmen um alles zu setzen. Ich habe einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames von Create a Smile aus grau-blauem Cardstock gestanzt und dabei bewusst zu einer etwas kleineren Größe gegriffen. Ich habe den Rahmen aufgeklebt und dabei die Teile neben den Buchstaben weggeschnitten, so dass der Rahmen unterbrochen ist.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles mit 3D Tape auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Since the ornament and the stacked letters have quite some height I decided to bring up the embossed text a bit by adhering it with foam tape.

Somehow the card waas missing an element, so I had the idea of adding a frame around the decorations. I cut one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames by Create a Smile from grey-ish blue cardstock, picking a smaller size on purpose. I glued the frame onto the background, cutting out the areas next to the letters, so the frame is broken up. 

Then I used foam tape to attach the card panel to a white note card.
