Frühlingsgrüße

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

So langsam neigt sich die Zeit  der Frühlingsblüher dem Ende entgegen - vor allem beim Basteln. Ich wollte aber unbedingt noch die Blumen aus dem Set Kleine Frühlingsblumen von CreativeDepot benutzen. Und so ist diese Frühlingskarte entstanden.

The time of those spring bulbs is coming to an end - especially in my crafts. But I really wanted to use the flowers from Kleine Frühlingsblumen by CreativeDepot. And so I made this spring card.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks. Den habe ich mit Masking Tape so beklebt, dass vier gleichgroße Rechtecke mittig  frei bleiben. Die habe ich dann mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers gewischt. 

Nach dem Abziehen des Tapes habe ich dann hellgoldene Metallic Watercolor auf den Cardstock gespritzt.

 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. I used masking tape to cover the cardstock, leaving four rectangles of the same size free. I inked these with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers.

After peeling the masking tape off I added splatters of light gold metallic watercolor to the cardstock.

 

 Die hellblauen Rechtecke sind nun der Hintergrund für meine Blumen.

Ich habe vier Blumentöpfe aus einem Stanzenset von MarianneDesign gestanzt, in die ich dann die Blumen gepflanzt habe. In den oberen Rechtecken sind das links Osterglocken und rechts Löwenzahn

Alle Elemente der Karte habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Ohuhu Markern coloriert. 

 

Those light blue rectangles are the backdrop for my flowers.

I die cut four flower pots from a die set by MarianneDesign and put the flowers into them. In those upper rectangles I used daffodils and dandelions.

I die cut all element on the card from white cardstock and colored them with Ohuhu markers.

 

 Im unteren rechten Fenster befinden sich Schneeglöckchen. 

Im linken habe ich dann ein wenig Ostern mit eingebaut. Ich habe kleine Hasenohren in den Topf gesetzt und davor einen Schokohasen und zwei Ostereier geklebt. Die Hasenohren sind aus Minihasenohrenset von Steckenpferdchen, der Hase aus dem Postage Collage Bunny Silhouette Set von WaffleFlower, die Ostereier aus dem Ostereier-Set von CreativeDepot. 

In diesem Fenster war dann auch noch genug Platz für meinen Text. Ich habe mit Stempeln aus dem Set Kleine Worte von Stampcorner "Frühlingsgrüße" zweizeilig weiß auf grünen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten.

 

In the lower right window there are some snowdrops.

With the content of the left one I added a touch of easter to the card. I put some small bunny ears into the flower pot and glued a chocolat bunny and two easter eggs in front of it.  The bunny ears are from Minihasenohrenset by Steckenpferdchen, the bunny is from Postage Collage Bunny Silhouette by WaffleFlower, the easter eggs from Ostereier by CreativeDepot.

In this window there was also enough room for my text. I white heat embossed "spring greetings" onto green cardstock and cut it out.

 

 Die Blumentöpfe habe ich dann mit dünnem 3D Tape auf die blauen Rechtecke geklebt und in jedes noch ein kleines weißes Herz eingebaut.

Den Cardstock habe ich dann hellblau gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the flower pots with thin foam tape onto the blue rectangles and added a white clay heart to each of them.

I matted the decorated cardstock light blue and then glued it onto a white note card.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Spring Fling ist das Thema der aktuellen LawnFawnatics Challenge - und hier ist von frühlingshaft bis österlich so ziemlich alles möglich. Da ich bereits genug Osterkarten gewerkelt habe - einige davon seht Ihr erst in den nächsten Tagen - habe ich die kleinen Maulwürfe in den Garten geschickt, um ihn nach dem kalten Winter auf Vordermann zu bringen.

Spring Fling is the theme of the current LawnFawnatics challenge - from spring-ish to easter everything is possible here. I've already made a lot of easter cards - you will see some of them in the next days - I've sent the little moles into the garden to make it all nice after the cold winter.

 

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks. Den habe ich mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Broken China und Uncharted Mariner gewischt und dann Wassertropfen darauf verteilt. Alles sollte ein wenig träumerisch aussehen. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich dann noch weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Im unteren Bereich habe ich dann eine Lage Gras aufgeklebt. Die ist mit einer Bordürenstanze gemacht und das einzige Element auf der Karte, das ich aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt habe. Dann habe ich es ein wenig mit Distress Ink Mowed Lawn schattiert.

 

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock. I inked it with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Broken China and Uncharted Mariner and then flicked some water onto the ink. I wanted to give the scene a bit of a dreamy look. After the water had dried I also added splatters of white acrylic paint.

In the lower area I added a layer of grass. I die cut that with a border die and it's actually the only element on the card I've cut from colored cardstock. Then I shaded it with a bit of Distress Ink Mowed Lawn.    .

 

Am Himmel habe ich eine Sonne aus Out of this World und einige kleine Wölkchen aus Butterfly Kisses aufgeklebt. 

Darunter wachsen schon ein paar große rosafarbene Blumen. Die sind mit Stanzen aus den Sets Big Blossom Backdrop Landscape und Big Blossom Backdrop Portrait gemacht, den Rahmen mit den Blüten selbst habe ich hier nicht verwendet. Die Blüten habe ich aufgedoppelt, damit sie schön voll wirken. 

 

 To the sky I glued a sun from Out of this Worl and some small clouds from Butterfly Kisses.

Under the sun there are already some flowers blooming. I made those using dies from Big Blossom Backdrop Landscape and Big Blossom Backdrop Portrait, the frame with the flowers itself I didn't use here. I doubled up the flowers to make them look more full.

 

 Und unten auf der Karte arbeiten die beiden Maulwürfe fleißig an der neuen Bepflanzung - alles unter den wachsamen Augen diverser Gartenbewohner.

Ganz hinten befinden sich zwei Baumstümpfe. Die sind aus Lift the Flap Meadow und Meadow Backdrop Landscape. Die kleine Raupe auf dem kleineren Baumstamm ist aus A Bug Deal, die Schnecke auf dem anderen aus Porcu-Pine for You. Zwischen die Baumstämme habe ich dann noch einige Grasbüschel aus All the Grasses gesetzt.

Die beiden Maulwürfe sind aus den Sets A Mole Lot of Flowers und A Mole Lot of Love. Aus diesen Sets sind auch die frisch eingepflanzten Blumen in den Erdhäufchen und die Blumen, mit denen die Schubkarre beladen ist. 

Damit sie sich bei den ersten Sonnenstrahlen im Frühling nicht gleich einen Sonnenbrand holen tragen beide Maulwürfe Sonnenhüte aus dem Set All the Garden Hats. 

Zum Schluss habe ich auf der Szene noch ein paar Schmetterlinge aus Butterfly Kisses und Butterfly Kisses FlipFlop verteilt. 

Alle Motive auf der Karte habe ich mit einer Mischung aus Ohuhu-Markern und Copics - einfach weil es so schneller ging - coloriert und per Hand ausgeschnitten.

 

On the bottom of the card the two moles are working hard to plant some new flowers in the garden - watched carefully by some small garden critters.

In the very back I put up two tree stumps. Those are from Lift the Flap Meadow and Meadow Backdrop Landscape. The small caterpillar on the smaller tree stump is from A Bug Deal, the snail on the other one from Porcu-Pine for You. I put some bushels of grass from All the Grasses between the tree stumps. 

The two moles are from A Mole Lot of Flowers and A Mole Lot of Love. From those sets are also all the freshly planted flowers in the piles of dirt and the flowers, that the wheelbarrow is loaded with. 

To make sure the two moles don't get burned by the first warm rays of the sun they are wearing garden hats from All the Garden Hats.

Then I added a few butterflies from Butterfly Kisses and Butterfly Kisses FlipFlop.

I colored all images on this card with a mix of Ohuhu markers and Copics - just because I am way faster with these - and cut them out with my scissors.

 

Die Baumstümpfe sind mit dünnem, die Maulwürfe und frisch gesetzten Pflanzen mit dickem 3D tape aufgeklebt.

Und dann habe ich bemerkt, dass ich gar keinen Text auf der Karte habe - und auch keinen Platz, um noch einen einzufügen. Aber ich denke, den braucht es hier auch gar nicht unbedingt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. 

 

I used thin foam tape to adhere the tree stumps, the moles and freshly planted flowers are  glued down with thick tape.

It was then that I realized that there is no text on my card - and also no room left to add one. But I don't really think, it needs one, so I skipped it.

As the last step I glued the card panel to a white note card. 

  

Toi, Toi, Toi!

Inzwischen haben wir ja so einige Feste aus den USA - und anderen Teilen der Welt - übernommen, St. Patrick's Day wird für mich aber nie dazu gehören. Trotzdem haben mich all die Kleeblätter, die man momentan auf Karten sieht, inspiriert und ich habe sie auf diese frühlingshafte Karte gepackt.

We in Germany have taken in quite some holidays from the US - and other parts of the world. But to me St. Patrick's Day will never be one of them. But I still got inspired by all the shamrock cards I've seen lately and put some on this spring card.

 

Als Basis diente hier ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock, dessen Mitte ich per Ink Shmooshing mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean hellblau eingefärbt habe. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich einVideo gesehen, ich weiß nicht mehr von wem, in dem eine Art Knödel aus Zewa gemacht wurde, der dann in Folie gepackt wurde. Die Enden werden zu einem kleinen Griff gedreht. Damit wurde dann die mit Wasser verdünnte Tinte aufgetragen, was dann viel kontrollierter geht, als auf die herkömmliche Art. Ihr wisst ja, ich bin ein Kontrollfreak. Aber so macht auch mir das Ink Smooshing super viel Spaß - und 100 % kontrollierbar ist es trotzdem nicht.

Auf den hellblau eingefärbten Bereich habe ich nach dem Trocknen noch hellrosa Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

 

I used a piece of watercolor cardstock as the base here and colored its center a light blue by doing ink smooshing with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. A while ago I saw a video, and once again I don't remember who made it, where they made a ball from a paper towel and covered that with thin plastic. The ends were twisted and formed some kind of small handle. This was used to apply the watered down ink and that was so much more controllable than the usual way of doing ink smooshing. You know me, I am a control freak. But done like that even I can enjoy it, and it's still not completly controllable.

After the background had dried I splattered some light pink metallic watercolor onto the blue area.

 

 Die Wiese samt dem Klee habe ich dann mit dem Lots of Luck Stempelset von SimonSaysStamp gestaltet. Ich habe alles mit verschiedenen Stempelkissen von MFT und SU auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und per Hand ausgeschnitten. Und weil das Gras nicht ganz bis an den Rand der Karte reichte, habe ich rechts und links noch etwas davon direkt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt.

Und dann fiel mir das 4 Leaf Clover Stempelset von ColoradoCraft in die Hände. Der kleine Hamster, der stolz das gerade gefundene vierblättrige Kleeblatt in die Luft reckt, war doch das perfekte Motiv für meine Wiese. Ich habe es mit dem NoLine Kissen von InkOn3 abgestempelt umd mit Copics coloriert. Ich wollte lieber eine kleine Maus statt eines Hamsters, also habe ich Grautöne gewählt und beim Colorieren die Ohren minimal vergrößert. Für die Details habe ich dann Polychromos eingesetzt, die Highlights auf allen Motiven sind mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht. Auch dieses Motiv habe ich ausgeschnitten und die Kleewiese, in der der Hamster eigentlich sitzt, dabei weggeschnitten. 

 

I created the meadow with the clovers using the Lots of Luck stamp set by SimonSaysStamp, stamping it with different inks by MFT and SU onto white cardstock. Then I cut the image out by hand. And because the grass didn't reach to the edge of my background I simply stamped some more of it directly onto the watercolor cardstock. 

And then I came across the 4 Leaf Clover set by ColoradoCraft. This little hamster, that's proudly holding up the shamrock he just found, was the perfect image for my meadow. I stamped it with the NoLine ink pad by InkOn3 and colored it with Copics. I wanted a mouse instead of a hamster, so I went with greys and made the ears a tad bit larger. For the details I brought in my Polychromos, the highlights on all the images are made with a white gel pen. I cut this image out with my scissors again, cutting off the field of clovers this hamster is originally sitting in. 

 

 Für die Texte kamen dann Produkte von Create a Smile zum Einsatz.

Der gestanzte Text ist mit dem Set Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten gemacht. Ich liebe die Bordürenstanze, deren Kante der oberen Linienführung der gestanzten Worte entspricht. Ich habe sie hier aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und darauf dann die Worte, gestanzt aus grünem Cardstock, aufgeklebt. 

Die gestempelten Texte sind aus dem Set Glücksbringer und jeweils weiß auf dunkelgrünen Cardstock embosst. Einen dieser Texte habe ich unter den gestanzten Text, den anderen oben links auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

 

For the texts I used products by Create a Smile.

The die cut text is made with the Liebe Grüße mit zweierlei Schatten set. I love the border die, that matches the top edge of the die cut words. I cut it from white cardstock and glued the individual words, cut from green cardstock, onto it.

The stamped texts are from Glücksbringer and white heat embossed onto dark green cardstock. I adhered one of them under the die cut words, the other one to the to left of the background.

 

 Die Wiese mit dem Klee ist direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Die Maus ist mit dünnem, der Cardstockstreifen mit dem gestanzten Texte mit dickem 3D Tape angebracht. Beim Kleeblatt, das die Maus hochhält, habe ich  nur die Blätter mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt, so dass das etwas weiter hervorsteht. Und auch den Text oben auf der Karte habe ich damit aufgeklebt.

Als Deko habe ich dann ein paar kleine rosafarbene Herzen auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I glued the meadow with the clover directly onto the background. I backed the mouse with thin, the cardstock strip with the die cut text with thick foam tape. I put a piece of that just behind the shamrock, the mouse is holding, to make it stand up a bit more. And I also put thick foam tape behind the text strip in the top left of the card.

I added some pink clay hearts as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Happy Spring Day

Also so langsam dürfte der Frühling mal kommen, ich bin mehr als bereit und sehne mich nach Sonnenschein und wärmeren Temperaturen. Zur Einstimmung habe ich heute schon mal eine Frühlingskarte für Euch.

Spring could really make its appearance now, I am more than ready and yearn for sunshine and warmer temperatures. To get a bit in a spring mood I have a spring card for all of you today.

 

Der Hintergrund meiner Karte ist aus einem Stück blauen Cardstocks gemacht, den ich von unten her ein wenig mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean gewischt habe. 

Da meine Hasen eine schöne Landschaft brauchten, hatte ich die Idee, eine Art "Tunnel" aus frühlingshaften Büschen zu machen. Ich kenne diese von Pflanzen überwucherten Gänge noch von früher. Wolkenstanzen boten sich da natürlich an. Ich habe die beiden großen Stanzen aus dem Cloudy Sky Scene Set von HeroArts aus zwei verschiedenen Tönen hellgrünen Cardstocks gestanzt und dann mit Copics mit kleinen Punkten coloriert. Damit es auch aussieht wie Büsche habe ich dann noch einige feine Äste aus dem Branching Out Set von Memorybox aufgeklebt, hier reichten jeweils die Spitzen der Äste. 

 

I created the background for my scene from blue cardstock that I inked from the bottom up with a bit of Distress Ink Salty Ocean.

My bunnies needed a nice spring-ish landscape and I got the idea of creating some kind of "tunnel" from bushes. I remember those overgrown by plants ways from back then. Cloud dies seemed perfect. I used the two large ones from Cloudy Sky Scene by HeroArts and cut them from two different shades of light green cardstock. Then I colored them with Copics by just covering them with lots of little dots. And to make sure these look like bushes I added a few branches from Branching Out by Memorybox, only using the very tips of the branches.

 

Eigentlich wollte ich ein ganz anderes Motiv aus dem Schrank holen - die Karte damit zeige ich Euch demnächst - und bin dabei über die süßen Hasen aus dem Happy Day Set von ColoradoCraft gestolpert. Ganz spontan habe ich mich dann umentschieden... 

Ich habe sie mit dem Jellyfish Kissen von LawnFawn gestempelt und dann mit Copics coloriert. Zum Schluss habe ich dann mit einem schwarzen Fineliner die Schnurrhaare und Augen aufgemalt und außerdem einige Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt.  

Das Gras hinter und neben den Hasen habe ich mit dem Greener Grass Set von ColoradoCraft gemacht. Ich habe die Hasen maskiert und die Grasbüschel direkt mit auf den selben Cardstock gestempelt. 

 

I wanted to bring out a completly different image - I will share the card I made with that a bit later in the month - and came across the cute bunnies from Happy Day by ColoradoCraft. That made me change my mind...

I stamped the images with the Jellyfish ink by LawnFawn and colored them with Copics. Then I used a black fineliner to add the eyes and wiskers and also added a few small details with Polychromos.

The grass behind and next to the bunnies is made with the Greener Grass set by ColoradoCraft.  I masked the bunnies off and stamped the grass onto the same piece of cardstock.

 

 Beim Abstempeln der Motive hatte ich noch nicht so genau im Kopf, wie die Karte dann am Ende aussehen sollte - und hatte unter den Motiven tatsächlich nicht genug Platz für meinen Text. Ich wollte unbedingt die Spring-Stanze aus dem Great Greetings Spring von HoneyBeeStamps benutzen und das braucht dann doch einiges an Platz. Also habe ich aus hellgrünem Cardstock noch eine Grasbordüre ausgestanzt und die als zusätzliche Lage unter die Motive gesetzt. Damit sie zum Rest des Grases passt, habe ich auch den Cardstock ein wenig mit Copics schattiert. 

Das Wort Spring ist einfach aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Das "happy" und das "day" habe ich dann weiß aufembosst, beides ist ebenfalls aus dem Happy Day Set. 

Und damit das Gras hier nicht so langweilig wirkt, habe ich noch kleine Osterglocken aus dem Small Daffodils in Pot Set von Gummiapan in die Wiese gepflanzt. Auch die habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Die Blumenzwiebeln am unteren Ende habe ich einfach weggeschnitten. 

 

When stamping the images I didn't know yet, what exactly I wanted my card to look like - and didn't leave enough room for the text under them. I really wanted to use the spring word die from Great Greetings Spring by HoneyBeeStamps, and that needs quite some space. So I die cut a grass border from light green cardstock and added it as an additional layer under the images. To make this layer go with the rest of the grass layers I shaded the cardstock with some Copics.

The word spring I simply cut from white cardstock.  The words "happy" and "day" I then white heat embossed onto the cardstock, both words are from Happy Day, too.

The grass layer looked a bit plain with just the text on it. So I added some daffodils from Small Daffodils in Pot by Gummiapan. Again I cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics and cut off the bulbs at the bottom.

 

 Damit der Busch-Tunnel auch schön plastisch wirkt, habe ich die Wolken-/Buschlagen jeweils mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Die Hasen sind direkt auf dem Himmel befestigt, die extra Graslage habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch  drei kleine weiße Wolken am Himmel verteilt und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To make the tunnel of bushes dimensional I added the clouds/bushes with thick foam tape. The bunnies I glued directly onto the sky, the extra layer of grass I backed with thin foam tape.

At the end I added three small clouds to the sky and adhered the card panel to a white note card.

 

Hello Spring

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

 Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, ist bereits vor einiger Zeit entstanden, an einem Tag, an dem ich nur wenig Zeit zum Basteln hatte. Ich habe hier die Butterfly Blossom Stanze sowie die Butterfly Texture Stanze von WaffleFlower benutzt, mit der auch schnelle Karten problemlos möglich sind.

The card, that I'm sharing with you today, I made already some time ago, on a day that I didn't have much time to craft. I used  the Butterfly Blossom and Butterfly Textures die by WaffleFlower here, that make quick cards quite easy to make.

 

 Ich habe den Hintergrund, der eine komplette Stanze ist, aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Hilfe der passenden Stencil mit verschiedenen Distress Inks eingefärbt: die Schmetterlinge in türkisblau, die Blumen in koralle und hellem rot, die Blätter natürlich in grün. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt und auf die Blüten Details mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

Die Schmetterlinge habe ich nochmal mit den Schmetterlingsstanzen aus dem Set Butterfly Blossom aus Vellum gestanzt - die halb verdeckten Schmetterlinge habe ich mit der Butterfly Blossom Texture Stanze aus Vellum gestanzt und dort ausgeschnitten - die Körper aus schwarzem glänzendem Cardstock. Das Vellum habe ich von unten mit der türkisblauen Tinte eingefärbt, die Details mit schwarzer Tinte. Und dann habe ich die Punkte im Muster der Schmetterlinge oben auf dem Vellum nochmal mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen nachgemalt. 

Dann habe ich noch die Blumenmitten aus matt-goldenem Metallic Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt.

 

 I die cut the complete background from white cardstock and  used the coordinating stencils to ink it with Distress Inks: the butterflies a turquoise-blue, the flowers a coral and light red and the leaves - of course - green. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint on top and added some gel pen details to the flowers.

I die cut the butterflies again from vellum using the Butterfly Blossom set - the partly covered ones I cut using the Butterfly Blossom Texture die and cut them out -, the bodies I cut from black shiny cardstock.  I inked the back of the butterflies with turquoise ink, the details with black ink. Then I used a black glaze pen to draw the dots on the wings on the top of the vellum.

I also die cut flower centeres from matte gold metallic cardstock and glued them on.

 

 Für den Text habe ich die Hello Spring Word Die benutzt. Die Schattenlage habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Buchstaben für das hello aus schwarzem Cardstock. 

Das Wort spring habe ich dreimal aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, die Lagen aufeinander geklebt und die oberste Lage in koralle und rot eingefärbt. 

For the text I used the Hello Spring Word die. I cut the shadow layer from white cardstock, the letters for the word hello from black.

The word spring I cut three times from white cardstock, stacked them and inked the top layer in red and coral.

 

 Den Text habe ich mittig auf die Blumen geklebt und die Fühler und Köpfe der unteren Schmetterling obenauf gelegt. 

Als Deko habe ich nur auf dem Text einige goldene Perlen verteilt und eine davon auch auf den I-Punkt gesetzt.

Aus schwarzem Cardstock habe ich die Piercing Panel Stanze gestanzt und außenrum etwas zugeschnitten. Darauf habe ich dann mit 3D Tape die Blumenlage geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the text to the center of my flower panel, tucking it under the heads and antennas of the bottom butterflies. 

As decoration I added some gold pearls just to the text area and glued one also onto the dot over the I.

From black cardstock I cut the Piercing Panel and cut it a bit smaller. Then I adhered the card panel onto it with foam tape.

As the last step I glued everything onto a white card base.

Im letzten Release von LawnFawn gab es ja auch wieder ein Mäuse-Set. Und ich denke es ist kein Geheimnis, dass ich die absolut zauberhaft finde. Also musste ich das Set natürlich haben - und auf dieser Karte habe ich es eingeweiht.

There was again a mice set included in LawnFawn's latest release. And I think it's no secret that absolutely love them. So of course I had to get this set - here I used it for the first time.

 

Der Frühling ist endlich da. Habt Ihr gewusst, dass die Mäuse Vogelliebhaber sind? Nun haben sie gehört, dass sich zwischen den zurückkehrenden Zugvögeln eine seltene Vogelart versteckt haben soll. Also sind sie in die Natur gezogen und versuchen nun, einen Blick auf diesen seltenen Vogel zu erhaschen. Aber es ist gar nicht so leicht, den zu erkennen. Hatte er jetzt orangefarbene Flügelspitzen, einen orangefarbenen Bauch, etwas Orange am Kopf oder gar eine Kombi aus diesen Elementen? Wie gut, dass eine Maus daran gedacht hat, ihre Notizen mitzunehmen. Die studiert sie aufmerksam - und ich wünsche den Mäusen viel Glück, dass sie ihre Mission erfolgreich zu Ende bringen können.

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück hellblauen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Ink Salty Ocean leicht gewischt habe. Anschließend habe ich etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Darauf kam erst ein Hügel, gestanzt aus einem Bogen aus dem Watercolor Wishes Paper Pad, und obenauf der Spooky Forest Backdrop. Den habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und die Bäume mit Copics coloriert. Die großen Grasbüschel am unteren Ende habe ich einfach weggeschnitten.

Auf den Himmel habe ich dann noch ein paar kleine Wolken, gemacht mit dem Platform Pop-Up Cloud Inserts Set, aufgeklebt.

 

Spring is finally here. Did you know that the mice love bird watching? They have heard rumor, that there's a very rare kind of bird mixed into those migratory birds, that just come back from the warm south. So the mice went on a field trip, wanting to get a look at this rare bird. But telling it apart from all the other birds is not as easy as they thought. Did it have orange wing tips, an orange belly or some orange on the head? Or even a combination of some or all those characteristics? Luckily one of the mice thought of bringing his notes. He's studying it carefully - and I wish those mice all the luck they need to finish their mission.

The background is made from some blued cardstock, that I shaded with Distress Ink Salty Ocean. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint on top.

On top I first put a hill, cut from a sheet of the Watercolor Wishes paper pad, and then put the Spooky Forest Backdrop on top.  I cut it from white cardstock and colored the trees with Copics. The large grass at the bottom I cut off with my scissors.

I adhered  some small clouds, cut using a die from Platform Pop-Up Cloud Inserts set, to the sky.

 

 Hinter und auf die Bäume habe ich dann die Blätter der Bäume geklebt - gemacht mit den Wolken Border Stanzen und Designpapier aus dem Flower Market Paper Pad. Die Idee hatte ich im Introduction Video von LawnFawn gesehen und fand sie super. Die einzelnen "Wolkenteile" habe ich ein wenig mit Mowed Lawn gewischt.

Und dann tummeln sich hier all die verschiedenen Vögelchen. Und Ihr müsst zugeben, die verschiedenen Arten sehen sich schon sehr änlich...

Die Vögel sind aus den Sets It's a Bird und Heart Tree, beide aus dem neusten Release. Sie passten einfach so schön zusammen.

Außerdem war hier im oberen Bereich der Karte Platz für meinen Text .Das Adventure Awaits ist aus dem Set Car Critters Road Trip Add-On, der kleine Text darunter ist aus It's a Bird. Eigentlich lautet der Let's go Exploring und ist zweizeilig - ich habe ihn hier etwas abgewandelt abgestempelt.

 

Behind and onto the trees I put some leaves - made using cloud border dies and patterned paper from Flower Market. I saw this idea in one of the introduction videos by LawnFawn and really liked it. I slightly inked the individual "clouds" with Mowed Lawn.

And then there are all kinds of birds up in the sky and tree here. You have to admit, they all look so similar...

The birds are from It's a Bird and Heart Tree, both from the newest release. Those birds from the different sets work so well together.

Here, in the upper half of the card, was also enough room for my text. The Adventure Awaits is from Car Critters Road Trip Add-On, the small text under it is from It's a Bird. Originally that reads "let's go exploring" and is seperated into two lines - I simply changed that when I stamped the text.

 

 Im unteren Bereich der Karte sind natürlich die kleinen Mäuse zu finden. Sind sie nicht zu süß, mit ihren Hüten und Ferngläsern? Zwei von ihnen verstecken sich hinter einigen Büschen, in der Hoffnung, so von den Vögeln nicht gesehen zu werden. Die Büsche sind wieder mit Wolkenstanzen gemacht. 

Unten, an den Rand der Karte habe ich einen Streifen braunen Cardstocks als Weg gesetzt. Auf den habe ich etwas Distress Ink Vintage Photo sowie, wie auch die Büsche und den Hügel im Hintergrund, weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

Hier habe ich dann auch noch einige Grasbüschel, wieder aus dem Set Spooky Forest Backdrop, sowie einige Osterglocken aufgeklebt. Die sind aus dem ebenfalls neuen Set Spring Basket. Alles Motive sind mit Copics coloriert.

Zu guter letzt habe ich dann noch zwei Schmetterlinge aufgeklebt.

 

In the lower area of the card there are the little ice. Aren't they too cute with their hats and binoculars? Two of them are hiding in some bushes, hoping to be well hidden from the birds there. The bushes I made again using the cloud border dies. 

Along the bottom edge of the card I glued a strip of brown cardstock as a path. I splattered some Distress Ink Vintage Photo and - as well as the bushes and the hill in the background - some white acrylic paint. 

I also added some grass, again from Spooky Forest Backdrop, and some daffodils here. Those are from the also new Spring Basket set. All images are colored with Copics.

And last but not least I added two little butterflies to the scene.

 

 Natürlich habe ich die Szene mit dünnem und dickem 3D Tape zusammengesetzt und dann um alles einen der Stitched Rectangle Frames, gestanzt aus dem selben blauen Cardstock, den ich auch für den Himmel benutzt habe, gesetzt.

Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

Of course I used thin and thick foam tape to put the scene together, then put a frame, that I cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from the same blue cardstock I used for the sky, around it.

As a last step I adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die aktuelle "Spring Fling" LawnFawnatics Challenge. Ich bin etwas später als üblich dran, aber ich wollte unbedingt das neue Release für meine Karte einweihen, war übers Wochenende aber unterwegs. Aber hier ist sie nun.

Today I am sharing with you my card for the current "Spring Fling" LawnFawnatics challenge. I have finished my card a  bit later than usual but I really wanted to use products from the new release for the card and was out of town for the weekend. But here it is...

 

 Die Hasen genießen die ersten Sonnenstrahlen im Frühling, und auch der Karotten-Smoothie-Wagen ist nach dem langen Winter endlich wieder im Park anzutreffen. Da kann natürlich keine Hase widerstehen!

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück türkisfarbenen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Ink Peacock Feathers leicht gewischt habe. Dann habe ich weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Auf den Himmel habe ich dann erst einen Hügel gesetzt, auf dem Frühlingsblumen blühen. Der Hügel ist mit einer Stanze aus dem recht alten Set Flower Hillside PopUp AddOn gemacht. Den Hügel selbst habe ich aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness etwas gewischt. Die Blüten sind aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und teilweise ebenso wie die Blütenstiele mit Copics ein wenig schattiert.

Hinter und vor dem Blumenhügel steht jeweils ein Baum. Der ist mit dem neuen Stempelset Heart Tree gemacht und, wie alle Motive auf der Karte, mit Copics coloriert. 

 

The bunnies are enjoying the first warm days in spring and also the carrot smoothie cart is finally back in the park after the long winter break. Of course no bunny can resist a carrot smoothie!

The background is made from a piece of aqua cardstock, that I inked lightly with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint onto it.

Onto the sky I first adhered a hill full of spring flowers. I cut the hill from dark green cardstock using the quite old Flower Hillside PopUp AddOn set, then inked it with some Rustic Wilderness. The flower I cut from colored cardstock, then shaded the tulips and the flower stems with Copics.

Behind and in front of that flower hill I placed a tree. It's from the new Heart Tree stamp set and, like all the images on this card, colored with Copics.

 

 Auf den Blumenhügel habe ich dann einen weiteren gesetzt. Auch der ist mit einer Stanze aus dem Flower Hillside PopUp AddOn Set gemacht, die Blumen habe ich diesmal mit der Schere weggeschnitten, da sie auf diesem Hügel größer und einfach zu groß für meine Szene waren. Diesen Hügel habe ich aus heller grünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit ein wenig mit Mowed Lawn gewischt. Darauf befinden sich dann meine Motive:

Der Verkaufswagen ist aus dem Set Treat Cart, der Hase darin aus dem Set Coaster Critters Flip Flop. Außerdem steht da natürlich ein Mixer aus dem neuen Treat Cart AddOn Smoothies 'n Juice Set. 

Neben dem Wagen steht ein großer Korb voller Karotten - bei dem Andrang, der heute am Wagen herrscht, werden die bestimmt in Null-Komma-Nix aufgebraucht sein. Der Korb ist aus dem Set Apple-Solutely Awesome, die Karotten darin aus dem Set Carrot 'bout You. Außerdem steckt ein Schild aus dem Apple-Solutely Awesome Set darin, auf das ich den "get your vitamin C" Text aus dem Treat Cart AddOn Set Smoothies 'n Juice Set aufgestempelt habe. 

Rechts neben dem Wagen befindet sich noch eine Tafel aus dem Set Treat Cart, darauf habe ich dann das Angebot "Carrot Smoothies and Juice" - wieder aus dem neuen AddOn Set - mit weißer Tinte aufgestempelt. 

Vor dem Wagen drängen sich diverse Hasen aus den Sets Treat Cart, Coaster Critters und Upon a Star. Einer der Hasen hält eine Möhre, der andere hat seinen Smoothie schon bekommen. Und auch den Wagen habe ich mit einer weiteren Karotte verziert.

Farblich habe ich hauptsächlich orange, grün und weiß für meine Karte benutzt.

Die unteren Ecken der Karte wirkten noch ein wenig leer. Deswegen habe ich den Blumenhügel noch zweimal ausgestanzt und jeweils nur ein kleines Stück davon aufgeklebt. Da der Hügel nur auf einer Seite auslaufend ist, habe ich eines der Stanzteile aufs Gesicht gedreht. 

 

Onto the flower hill I put another hill. It's again die cut using a die from Flower Hillside PopUp AddOn, I cut off the flowers here with my scissors because they are larger on this hill and were just too large for my scene.  I used lighter green cardstock for this hill and inked it with Mowed Lawn. On top I placed my images:

The cart is from Treat Cart, the bunny in it from Coaster Critters Flip Flop. Of course there's a blender on the counter of the cart, that's from the new Treat Cart AddOn Smoothies 'n Juice set. 

Next to the cart I put up a barrel full of carrots - with so many bunnies wanting to get some juice I'm sure they will be used up in no time. The barrel is from Apple-Solutely Aweesome, the carrots inside from Carrot 'bout You. I also tucked a sign from Apple-Solutely Awesome into the carrots and stamped the "get your vitamin C" text from Treat Cart AddOn Smoothies 'n Juice set onto it.

On the right side of the cart there's a sign from Treat Cart. I stamped the specials of the day - carrot smoothies and juice - with white pigment ink onto it. Also this stamp is from the new AddOn set.

In front of the cart there are many bunnies waiting to order. They are from Treat Cart, Coaster Critters and Upon a Star. One of the bunnies is holding a carrot, another one has already a cup with carrot juice in his hands. I also decorated the cart with another carrot. 

I used orange, green and white as the main colors for this card.

The lower corners of the card seemed a bit empty. So I die cut the flower hill again two times and only adhered the very end of it to the cart. Since the hill has a straight edge on one side I turned the die cut on the face to have the pointy end on both sides of my scene.

 

 Meine Text habe ich dann im oberen Bereich der Karte aufgeklebt. Auch er ist aus dem neuen Set Treat Cart AddOn Smoothies 'n Juice und einfach schwarz auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

Außerdem habe ich als Farbtupfer noch zwei Schmetterlinge oben auf die Karte geklebt.

 

 My texts I adhered along the top edge of the card. It's again from the new Treat Cart AddOn Smoothies 'n Juice set and simply stamped black onto white cardstock.

I also added two little butterflies to the top half of my card, just to add a bit of color there, too.

 

 Zum Zusammensetzen meiner Szene habe ich wieder 3D Tape benutzt und so vier Ebenen auf der Karte kreiert. Dann habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

To put my scene together I used foam tape and created four different layers. Then I adhered the card panel onto a white card base.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Habt Ihr auch so Tage, an denen Ihr unbedingt basteln möchtet, aber nicht wirklich viel Zeit dafür habt? So einen Tag hatte ich vor kurzem - und dass ich ein ziemlich langsamer Bastler bin (ich kann mich ewig in kleinen Details verlieren) hilft der Sache nicht unbedingt. Ich habe mich trotzdem hingesetzt und in gerade mal 2 Stunden diese einfache Frühlingskarte mit Huhn gemacht.

Do you have days, when you really want to sit down and craft but don't really have much time for it? I had such a day a little ago - and that I'm a quite slow crafter (I can get lost in details) doesn't help my case either. I sat down at my craft table anyways and made this quite simple spring card with a hen in a bit under two hours.

Im Hintergrund befindet sich ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock, auf den ich oben per Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Tumbled Glass einen blauen Himmel angedeutet habe. 

Anschließend habe ich hell-türkisfarbene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt und den Cardstock nach dem Trocknen mit einer der Rectangle Stitch Stanzen von Stampcorner rechteckig ausgestanzt.

In the backgound there's a piece of watercolor cardstock. I did some ink smooshing with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass to indicate a blue sky in the top center. 

Then I splattered some light aqua metallic watercolor onto the cardsdtock and cut it out with one of the Rectangle Stitch dies by Stampcorner.

Bei meinem Besuch im Laden von CreativeDepot bin ich über dieses geniale Huhn mit Gummistiefeln - passenderweise heißt die Stanze Verrücktes Huhn - gestolpert und war sofort verliebt. Hier durfte es zum Einsatz kommen.

Ich habe das Huhn und den Sonnenschirm - er ist aus dem Stitched Umbrellas Set von Poppystamps - aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und habe die Teile dann mit Copics coloriert. Der Griff des Regenschirms zeigt eigentlich in die andere Richtung. Da ich die Stange sowieso etwas kürzen wollte, habe ich sie unterhalb des  Schirm-Oberteils abgeschnitten und aufs Gesicht gedreht. So blieben die gestitchten Details im oberen Teil des Schirms erhalten und der Griff zeigt in die andere Richtung. Ich habe den oberen Teil des Schirms etwas tiefer wieder an die Stange geklebt.

Auf den Körper des Huhns habe ich einige Punkte mit braunem Fineliner gemalt und außerdem die eingeprägten Details am Hals mit einem weißen Gelstift nachgemalt. 

Das Huhn steht auf Gras, das ich mit einer Stanze von Leane CreaTief gemacht habe. Es besteht aus zwei identischen und leicht überlappend aufeinander geklebten Stücken. 

Außerdem habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Stitched Strawberry Frame von LawnFawn winzige Blümchen - eigentlich sind es Blütenmitten - aus korallefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt. Eine davon habe ich der Henne hinter das - nicht vorhanden - Ohr geklemmt. 

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich außerdem noch einige kleine Wolken ausgestanzt.

When I visited the store by CreativeDepot I came across this amazing hen with rubber boots - the die is named "verrücktes Huhn", crazy hen - and fell in love with it immediately. 

I die cut the hen and umbrella - it's from the Stitched Umbrellas set by Poppystamps - from white cardstock and colored the pieces with Copics. The handle of the umbrella originally faces the other direction. Since I wanted to make the rod a bit shorter anyways, I cut the upper part of the umbrella off and turned the rod and handle on their face. This way I was able to keep the stitched details on the umbrella top and turn the handle. I  simply adhered the rod to  the umbrella top again, moving the rod a bit up.

I used a brown fineliner to add some dots to the hen's ody and also re-drew the details the die cuts into the paper on the neck and head with a white gel pen.

The hen is standing on some grass, that I cut using a die by Leane CreaTief. It's put together from two identical pieces, that I glued together a bit overlapping.

I also used  a die from Stitched Strawberry Frames by LawnFawn to cut some tiny flowers - actually they are flower centers - from coralle cardstock. One of them I tucked behind the - non existent - ear of the hen.

From white cardstock I cut some small clouds.

Der Text ist mit Stempeln aus dem Spring Stempelset von HoneyBeeStamps gemacht. 

Das große Wort "spring" habe ich erst mit Versafine Clair Bali Blue auf hellblauen Cardstock gestanzt und dann klares Embossingpulver darüber gestreut. Dann habe ich das Wort mit etwas Abstand zu den gestempelten Linien ausgeschnitten.

Das "is here" darunter ist mit Versafine Vintage Sepia direkt auf den Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt.

 

The text is made using the Spring stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps.

The large word "spring" I stamped onto light blue cardstock using Versafine Clair Bali Blue and then covered it with clear embossing powder. Then I cut the word out with my scissors.

The "is here" underneath I stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia directly onto the watercolor cardstock.

 

 Anschließend habe ich alle Teile auf dem Hintergrund arrangiert. Das Huhn und das Wort Spring sind mit dünnem, der Oberteil des Regenschirms mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Als Deko habe ich noch drei rote Herzen auf der Karte verteilt.

Zum Schluss habe ich den Kartenaufleger, der um einiges kleiner als der Kartenrohling ist, mit 3D Tape auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt. Durch das 3D Tape wirkt das viele Weiß nicht zu flach.

Then I arragend all pieces on the background. I backed the hen and word spring with thin, the top of the umbrella with thick foam tape. Then I added three little red hearts as decoration.

I used foam tape again to adhere the card panel, that's quite smaller than the note card, to a white card base. The foam tape makes sure, the card doesn't look too flat, even with all the white.

Hello Spring

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Der Frühling kommt immer näher - und ich kann ihn kaum erwarten. Und wie jedes Jahr um diese Zeit, hole ich die Schneeglöckchen-Stempel hervor. Ich liebe Schneeglöckchen, sie sind für mich der Inbegriff von Frühlingsboten. Tapfer blühen sie, selbst wenn sie sich vorher noch durch eine dicke Lage Schnee kämpfen müssen.

Spring is coming closer - and I can't wait until it's here. And as every year it's about time to bring out my snowdrops stamp. I love snowdrops, they are the ultimate sign of spring to me. Bravely they start blooming, even if they have to fight through a thick layer of snow to do so.

Der Hintergrund besteht hier aus einem Stück hellblauen Cardstocks, auf den ich gelb-goldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt habe. 

Darauf befindet sich der Twist Pattern von PinkFresh, er erinnert mich irgendwie ein wenig an Sonnenstrahlen. Ich habe erst die Hotfoil Plate mit gelb-goldener Folie auf weißen Cardstock foliert und dann alles mit der passenden Stanze ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich sie so zugeschnitten, dass sie auf eine deutsche A2-Karte passt. Das war gar nicht so einfach, denn ich wollte das Muster mittig setzen. Beim Abschneiden blieb dann links und rechts nur ein ganz dünner Streifen der Plate übrig. Aber es hat gerade noch geklappt.

Ich finde, das Gold holt die Sonne auf die Karte.

The background is made from a piece of light blue cardstock, that I splattered some yellow-gold metallic watercolor onto.

On top I put the Twist Pattern by PinkFresh. that reminds me of sunrays. I first hotfoiled the pattern with the hotfoil plate and yellow-gold foil onto white cardstock, then cut it out with the matching die. Then I cut it down to make it fit a german A2 sized card base. It really wasn't easy because I wanted the pattern to be centered. That left just a really thin strip of the pattern on the left and right edge, but it just worked.

I think, the gold brings some sunshine onto the card.

Der Schneeglöckchen-Stempel ist aus dem Set Endlich Frühilng von Create a Smile. Ich habe ihn mit hellblauer Tinte gestempelt und dann quasi in No-Line Technik coloriert. Ich finde, schwarze Stempellinien passen einfach nicht zu den zarten Schneeglöckchen. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt und dann noch einige Bereiche mit Prismacolors definiert.

Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich einen Schneehügel in der Breite des Cardstocks gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Copics hellblau schattiert. Außerdem habe ich mit einem der Oval Shadows von MFT ein längliches Oval aus dem Schnee gestanzt und grünen Cardstock dahinter gesetzt. Direkt um Schneeglöckchen herum schmilzt der Schnee ja meist, und man dann das Gras darunter sehen. In den grünen Cardstock habe ich einen Schlitz geschnitten und das ausgeschnittene Motiv hineingesteckt.

The snowdrops image is from Endlich Frühling by Create a Smile. I stamped it with light blue ink and then did some kind of no-line coloring to color them in. I just think, black outlines don't go with the fragile look of those flowers. I used Copics to color the snowdrops and then re-defined a few areas with Prismacolors.

From white cardstock I die cut a snow layer in the width of the cardstock, then colored it a light blue with Copics. I also cut a long thin oval from the snow layer using one of the Oval Shadows by MFT, then put some green cardstock behind it. Around snowdrops most times the snow has melted so you can see the grass, that was hidden under it. I cut a slit into the green cardstock and tucked the cut out snowdrops into it.

Den Text habe ich mit einer der Hello-Stanzen von MFT - eine mit passender Schattenlage - gemacht. Die Schattenlage ist aus Vellum, der Text aus goldenem Spiegel-Cardstock gestanzt. Unter dem Vellum und auch unter dem goldenen Wort befinden sich jeweils zwei aus weißem Cardstock gestanzte Worte. Die bringen den Text ein wenig nach oben, ohne dass ich vorsichtig winzige 3D Tape-Stückchen hinter dem gestanzten Wort verstecken muss.

Das Wort Spring darunter ist aus dem Window Scene Spring Stempelset von LawnFawn. Ich habe es mit weißer Tinte auf hellblauen Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit pearl-gold Embossingpulver embosst.

The text is made using one of the hello dies by MFT - one with a matching shadow layer. I cut the shadow from vellum, the text from gold mirror cardstock. Behind the vellum and behind the gold word there are two layers cut from white cardstock. This raises the text without me having to fiddle with tiny pieces of foam tape, trying to hide them behind the die cut word.

The word spring is from Window Scene Spring by LawnFawn. I stamped it with white ink onto light blue cardstock, then heat embossed it with some pearl-gold embossing powder.

Das Twist-Muster und dann auch die Schneelage sind jeweils mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Auch hinter dem Wort Spring befindet sich ein Stück davon. 

Als Deko habe ich dann noch ein paar kleine gelb-goldene Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I put thin foam tape behind the twist pattern and also the snow layer. There's also a little piece of it behind the word spring.

I added a few small yellow-gold sequins as decoration and then adhered the card panel to a white note card.

Frühlingsgrüße

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte für die Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge für Februar. Das Thema ist "watercolor" - und nachdem ich vor ein paar Tagen schon überlegt hatte, mal wieder meine ZIG Marker zu benutzen, kam mir das Thema sehr gelegen.

Today I am sharing with you the card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge for february. The theme is "watercolor" - and since I already thought about bringing out my ZIG Marker again a few days ago the theme came in very handy.

Am Look der Karte ist das Wetter schuld. Letzten Sonntag morgen war es eiskalt, -7 Grad, aber toll sonnig. Ich liebe mein Bastelzimmer und die großen Fenster, aber die Sonne hat so stark herein geschienen, dass ich Probleme hatte, überhaupt zu sehen, was ich da so mache. Zum Schluss wurde doch alles gut. Aber die Sonne hat in mir Frühlingsgefühle geweckt, und da wir auf den doch noch etwas warten müssen, mache ich ihn mir auf einer Karte eben selbst.

Hier habe ich für den Hintergrund einen Stempel mit verschiedenen Post-Stempeln mit hellgrauer Tinte auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und ganz soft mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina gewischt. Das Salvaged Patina hat dann doch einen etwas anderen Ton als der colorierte Hintergrund, da man davon aber eh nur ganz wenig sieht, macht das nichts.

Für das Motiv habe ich dann noch mit einem der Postage Rectangles von Create a Smile eine Briefmarke aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt.

The weather is to be blamed for the design of this card. Last sunday it was freezing - way below zero -, but very sunny. I love my craftroom with the large windows but the sun was shining through them so bright that I really had problem seeing, what I was actually doing. In the end everything turned fine. But the sun made me long for spring, and since we have to wait for that a while longer I simply created it myself with this card.

For the background I stamped a background stamp with lots of postage stamps with light grey ink onto white cardstock and very lightly inked it with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina. The Salvaged Patina has a bit of a different tone than my colored background, but since you don't see much of that postage background anyways I don't mind.

As a backdrop for the image I also die cut this large postage stamp from white cardstock using one of the Postage Rectangles by Create a Smile.

 

 Als Motiv habe ich mich für diese Narzissen entschieden. Eigentlich mag ich die in der Natur ja lieber in weiß mit gelber Mitte, aber hier habe ich sie doch komplett gelb coloriert.

Ich habe das Motiv mit der Fade-Out Ink von InkOn3 auf Watercolor Cardstock gestempelt und dann, wie schon erwähnt, mit den ZIG Markern coloriert. Ich watercoloriere ja eher selten und da mag ich das dosierte und genaue Auftragen der Farbe mit den Markern. Verblendet/vermalt habe ich die Farbe dann mit einem feinen Pinsel und ein wenig Wasser. 

Wie immer beim No-Line Coloring habe ich ganz zum Schluss noch Poychromos benutzt, nur um die Details auf den Blütenblättern und die Blütenmitten aufzumalen. Außerdem kam ganz dosiert ein weißer Gelstift zum Einsatz.

Den Cardstock rund um das Motiv habe ich in einem hellen Aqua gemacht, das mich an das Blau eines Frühlingshimmels erinnert.

Anschließend habe ich über  das Motiv ein wenig weiße Acrylfarbe  gespritzt.

As the image I went with these daffodils. In nature I like these white with a yellow center the most but here I decided to completly color them yellow.

I stamped the image with the FadeOut Ink by InkOn3 onto watercolor cardstock and then colored them with my ZIG Markers, as I already mentioned. I don't watercolor too often and so I really like how precise and well dosed I can put the color down with the markers. I used a fine brush and a bit of water to spread and blend the colors. 

As always when I do no-line coloring I used Polychromos at the very end, just to add the details on the petals and the flower centers. I also used a white gel pen in a few spots for some highlights.

I colored the cardstock around the image a light aqua, it reminds me of the wonderful blue of a spring sky. 

Then I added some fine splatters of white acrylic paint all over the cardstock.

Den Text habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte direkt unten quer über das Motiv gestempelt. Er ist aus dem Set Frühlingsgrüße von Create a Smile. Ich hatte überlegt, einen gestanzten Text zu benutzen, der hätte aber einfach zu viel vom Motiv verdeckt.

The text means "sending you spring greetings". But here in Germany we also say, that mother nature is sending us a spring greeting with those very first flowers. So I thought, the text was perfect. I stamped it with black ink across the bottom of the image. I thought about using  a die cut text, but that would have covered too much of the image.

Passend zum  Briefmarkendesign der Karte habe ich oben links einen Briefmarkenwert auf das Motiv gestempelt. Auch den habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte aufgestempelt und dafür Stempel aus dem Set  Klein und Fein von Create a Smile benutzt.

Rechts habe ich einen runden Poststempel sowie Entwertungsstreifen aufgestempelt. Die Stempel  hier sind aus dem Set Postage Collage von WaffleFlower, zum Stempeln habe ich Versafine Clair Morning Mist benutzt. Damit der runde Poststempel etwas heller ist, habe ich ihn per Second Generation Stamping aufgestempelt.Beide Motive habe ich sowohl auf den Cardstock mit dem Motiv als auch den briefmarkenförmigen Cardstock gestempelt. 

Matching the postage desgin of the card I stamped  a value onto the image. Again I used black ink and stamps from Klein und Fein by Create a Smile.

On the right side I stamped down a round postage stamp and some cancellation marks. The stamps here come from Postage Collage by WaffleFlower, to stamp them I used Versafine Clair Morning Mist. To make the round postage stamp a bit lighter I did second generation stamping. I stamped both images onto the cardstock with the image  and the white die cut postage stamp.

Ich habe das  Motiv und die weiße Briefmarke zusammengeklebt und dann beides mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund mit den Poststempeln geklebt. 

Als Deko habe ich ein paar klare Nuvo Drops mit goldenem Glitzer auf der Karte verteilt und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

I glued the image and the white postage stamp together and then adhered both with thick foam tape onto the background with the postage collage.

As decoration I added a few clear Nuvo Drops with gold glitter and adhered the card panel to a white card base.
