Bereits in den letzten Jahren habe ich für meine Mom kleine Giveaways für die Teilnehmer ihrer diversen Qi Gong Kurse gemacht. Diesmal fehlte mir die zündende Idee - noch dazu, weil ich 130 Stück davon machen durfte. Beim Aufräumen eines der Ordner auf meinem PC bin ich dann über ein Bild gestoßen, das ich mir letztes Jahr - oder sogar früher - als Idee gespeichert hatte. Leider war darauf keine Quellenangabe, so dass ich der Bastlerin, die die eigentliche Idee hatte, nicht verraten kann. Wenn Du das liest, melde Dich gerne, dann verlinke ich Dich hier.

Also in the last years I made little giveaways for my mom for her to give to the students in all the Qi Gong classes she's holding. This time I didn't have an idea of what to make - the more since I had to make 130. And then, when I went through a file on my computer I came across a picture I've saved last year - or was it even longer ago? - as an idea. Unfortunately there wasn't any information of where I got that pic from and so I can't give credit to the one who originally had the idea.
Es ist eine - bzw 130 - Streichholzschachtel(n), die außen weihnachtlich dekoriert ist. Natürlich habe ich die Deko komplett nach meinem eigenen Geschmack gemacht und die nicht auch noch geklaut! Ich habe fertige Blanko-Streichholzschachteln bestellt - und mich erstmal wahnsinnig geärgert. Offenbar werden die in Heimarbeit gemacht und somit nach Stückzahl bezahlt. Für mich wäre das trotzdem kein Grund, die Boxen irgendwie und ohne Rücksicht auf die vorgerillten Linien zusammenzuwurschteln. Anders kann man das wirklich nicht beschreiben. Von 130 Stück musste ich die inneren Teile bei 120 nochmal komplett auffalten, die total verknickten Teile irgendwie glattstreichen und alles neu zusammenfalten. Teilweise hielten sie nur noch durch Kleben. Bei dem Aufwand hätte ich sie gleich selbst stanzen können - und hätte dafür dann wohl weniger als 20 Euro bezahlt. Aber gut, nun war das Kind in den Brunnen gefallen und ich musste da durch.
Die äußeren Teile der Schachteln habe ich mit Designpapier beklebt, darauf kamen dann ein Label aus goldenem Glitzercardstock, ein Kreis mit einem aufgestempelten Text von Whiff of Joy und darauf dann ein längliches Label mit einem weiteren Text von Kulricke. Als Deko habe ich Ilexblätter und eine grüne Pailette verwendet.
This is a - or better 130 - match box(es) that is decorated christmas-sy on the outside. Of course I did the decorations completly after my own style and didn't copy this also!
I've bought finisehd white match boxes - and was completly disappointed. Seems like those are made from those that work from home and get paid by piece. But still this wouldn't be a reason for me to put the boxes together without even taking a bit of care of the pre-scored lines or how I put this together. I really don't know how to describe it. From those 130 pieces I had to unfold 120, try to somehow straighten the crumbled up corners and put them back together. Some of them only held together with glue after that. With all this work I could easily made them myself - which also would have cost me less than the 20 Euros I paid for them. But well, I already had ordered them and so I had to go through it.
The outer part of the match boxes is covered with a strip of designer's paper, then I've glued a label punched from golden glitter cardstock and a circle with a christmas text stamped on it. Then I've added another label with some stamped on christmas wishes. For decorations I went with some holy leaves and a green sequin.
Das süße an der Schachtel ist das Innenleben. Hier habe ich den Text so übernommen, wie er in meinem Ideen-Geber stand und nur die Schriftarten geändert. Die Texte sind mit dem PC gedruckt und nach dem Zuschneiden in die Box geklebt. Dazu befindet sich ein goldener Stern, ebenfalls aus goldenem, schwerem Glitzercardstock gestanzt, in der Box. Ist die Idee nicht süß?
The cute thing about this box is the inner part. There's a text glued to the bottom of the box which means "A shooting star for you. Let it fly and make a wish!". The text was printed with my home printer - okay, since I only have a black and white one I had to use one of my daugher's - and after cutting it the matching size glued to the bottom of the box. Inside the box there's also a golden "shooting star", also cut from heavy golden glitter cardstock. Isn't that a cute idea?
