Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 30. Mai 2020

Heute gibt es wieder einen neuen Sketch beim Stempeleinmaleins. Der Sketch ist eigentlich recht einfach gehalten - aber irgendwie haben sich hier Blätter und Tiere verselbständigt. Herausgekommen ist diese Karte. Ich bin ja eher der "da geht noch was" Typ, aber hier muss selbst ich zugeben, dass es vielleicht ein bisschen viel ist, was auf der Karte gelandet ist.

Hello everyone!

Today we have a new sketch over at Stempeleinmaleins. The sketch is kept pretty simple - but somehow those leaves and animals escalated. This is the card I've ended up with. Craftwise I am a "more is more" type of person but well, even I have to admit that I went a bit overboard with this card.

Der Hintergrund ist noch recht einfach - ein Stück dezent gemustertes Designpapier, darüber ein Streifen dunkel-türkisfarbener Cardstock. 

The background is simple - a piece of designer's paper with a soft pattern and light colors, a strip of dark turquoise cardstock on top.

Nun, und dann gingen sie mit mir durch. Die eigentliche Idee war, diese Stanze mit dem Banner und den ober- und unterhalb angebrachten Blumen zu verwenden. Ich bin, wenn überhaupt, einmal pro Jahr bei Action. Und da habe ich diese Stanze mitgenommen. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert.

Irgendwie musste da ein Motiv drauf. Aus einem Motiv wurden dann viele Affen und Faultiere von Mama Elephant. Und weil die zwischen den Blumen irgendwie komisch aussahen, kam mir die Idee, noch ausgestanzte Blätter dahinter zu setzen. Da wurde es schon voller....

Im Sketch ist ein Oval über dem Hintergrund gezeigt. Da ich mir bei der Größe des Banners mitsamt Deko  nicht mehr sicher war, ob das als Ersatz für das Oval gelten würde, habe ich ein ovales Doily dahinter gesetzt. Und weil ich schon dabei war, kam auch noch ein wenig Cheesecloth ins Spiel. 

Unten rechts im Sketch ist der Text eingezeichnet. Mein Text ist ja eigentlich schon auf dem Banner enthalten, also habe ich ihn einfach auf einem kleinen Streifen Cardstock fortgeführt. Passt zumindest zu all den Tieren.

Well, and then I escalated. The original idea was to use this die with a banner and flowers and leaves at the top and bottom edge. I've die cut it from white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

Well, I felt like I needed an image. This one image then changed to a bunch of monkeys and sloths by Mama Elephant. And since those looked a bit strange between just the flowers I got the idea of putting die cut leaves in the background. So it got messier...

The sketch shows an oval for the image. I really wasn't sure if the large banner with all its attachments would count as replacement for the oval so I've put an oval doily behind the banner. And since I was at it I've also included some cheesecloth. 

At the lower right corner there's a banner for the saying shown in the sketch. My text is already on the banner so I've simply completed it on a small strip of cardstock. Well, at least the saying goes great with all those animals now.

Das Banner habe ich dann nochmal aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzt, etwas kleiner zugeschnitten und das Big Hugs von LawnFawn darauf gestempelt. Dabei habe ich den I-Punkt durch ein Herz ersetzt. 

Na, was sagt Ihr zu der Karte. Ich muss sagen - zumindest ist sie fröhlich-bunt!

I've die cut the banner again from light blue cardstock, cut it a bit smaller and stamped a big hugs by LawnFawn onto it, replacing the i-dot with a heart. 

So, what do you think of this creation? I have to say - at least it's bright and colorful!

Well, I really thought this card was ugly so I've given it a remodelation:

Ich habe einfach alles unter dem Banner mit den Blättern und Tierchen entfernt, das ganze Arrangement einfach auf schwarzen Cardstock geklebt und dann auf eine weiße Karte. Auch der Text ist an eine andere Stelle gezogen. Und so mag ich sie viel lieber!

I've simply removed everything under the banner with the leaves and critters, put it onto a piece of black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card. Also the text movig to a different position. And voilá, I really like it a lot better that way!
