LawnFawn Challenge #87

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine einfache Karte für Euch, die nach dem Sketch der Challenge #87 von LawnFawn gemacht ist. Die genialen Weihnachtserbsen mussten doch endlich eingeweiht werden! Und der Sketch passte ideal zu dem, was ich im Kopf hatte.

Today I have a  simple card to share, made using the sketch of challenge #87 by LawnFawn. Those hilarious christmas peas finally wanted to see some ink! And the sketch was just perfect for what I had in mind. 

Ich habe hier zwei der singenden Erbsen aus dem Stempelset Peas on Earth und die Straßenlaterne abgestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich sie mit dem Erdkugelmotiv aus dem Set Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments Stempelset kombiniert - und sie oben aufgeklebt. Die Erde habe ich so coloriert, dass oben am Nordpol auch ordentlich Schnee liegt. Eine der Erbsen hat noch eine Sprechblase mit Musiknote bekommen, über der anderen ist der Anfang des Textes des Weihnachtsliedes "Oh Christmas Pea" zu lesen. Auch die Stempel sind aus de Set Peas on Earth. Der Name des Sets ist übrigens auch, was mich auf die Idee zu der Karte gebracht hat. Und ich könnte mich kringeln über dieses Wortspiel!

Erde und Erbsen habe ich dann auf einen Streifen Cardstock geklebt, auf den ich mit Distress Oxide Wilted Violet, Chipped Saphire und Black Soot einen Weltallhintergrund gewischt und mit Wasser sowie silberner Schimmer-Aquarellfarbe Sterne aufgespritzt habe.

Unter den Motiven habe ich dann zwei Banner mit dem Text "let there be" und "Peas on Earth" aufgestempelt habe. Alle Motive und die Textbanner sind mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Diesen Streifen habe ich dann auf grünes Designpapier mit weißen Punkten aus dem Let it Shine Papierpad geklebt. Nun, das Grün war mir ein wenig zu grell, die Erbsen sind irgendwie untergegangen. Also habe ich zwischen Designpapier und Galaxie-Streifen noch eine Lage Vellum geklebt. 

Here I've stamped, colored and cut out two of the singing peas and the street lantern from the Peas on Earth stamp set. Then I've combined those with the earth image from the Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiment stamp set - and glued them on top of it. I've colored the earth so there's plenty of snow at the north pole. Next to one of the peas I've added a speech bubble with a music note in it, above the other one you can read a line from the famous christmas song "oh christmas pea". Also those stamps are from the Peas on Earth stamp set - and the name of this set is also what gave me the idea for this card. And I just could laugh out loud every time I think about this play of words.

I've then glued earth and peas onto a strip of cardstock that I've given galaxy look by covering it with Distress Oxide Wilted Violet, Chipped Saphire and Black Soot and then spritzed some water and some silver shimmer watercolor onto it. 

Under the images I've added two banner with the words "let there be" and "Peas on Earth". All images and the banners are attached to the galaxy strip with dimensionals. 

Then I've glued the strip onto a piece of green designer's paper with white dots from the Let it Shine paper pad. Well, the green was too bright and the peas somehow got lost so I've added a layer of vellum on top of the designer's paper.
