Eine kleine Leonie hat das Licht der Welt erblickt und ich wurde gebeten, eine Karte zu machen. Und das ist sie.
Hello everyone!
A little leonie just made her entrance to this world and I was asked to make a card. Well, and this is it.
Ich habe mich für eine Slimlinekarte entschieden, auf der ich in groß den Namen des neuen Erdenbürgers aufgebracht habe.
Für den Hintergrund habe ich mit einer der Stanzen aus dem Slim Window Dressings Stanzenset von MamaElephant ein Stück weißen Cardstock ausgestanzt und auf den dann mit Distress Oxide Spun Sugar und diversen Wolken-Stencils ganz zarte rosa Wolken aufgewischt. Darüber habe ich dann zart-rosafarbene Schimmer-Wasserfarbe aufgespritzt.
Mit einer weiteren Stanze aus dem gleichen Slimline-Set habe ich dann die von der Größe her perfekt passenden Mattung mit gewelltem Rand aus dunkelrotem Cardstock ausgestanzt und den Wolkenhintergrund darauf geklebt. Anschließend kamen beide Lagen auf einen weißen Slimlinekarten-Rohling.
I decided to go with a slimline card and put the name of the new baby onto it.
For the background I used one of the dies from the Slim Window Dressings die set by MamaElephant to die cut a rectangle from white cardstock. Then I put some soft pink clouds onto it with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and different cloud stencils. I also sprinkled some soft pink metallic watercolor onto it.
With another die from the same slimline set I die cut a matting from dark red cardstock, that's just the perfect size for the rectangle. I glued the cloud background on top and then both layers onto a slimline card base.
Die Buchstaben habe ich mit dem Impact Alphabet von MFT gestanzt - einmal aus pinkfarbenem und einmal aus dunkelrotem Cardstock. Ich habe die einzelnen Buchstaben leicht versetzt übereinander geklebt, weiße Highlights mit einem Gelstift hinzugefügt und die Buchstaben quer über die Karte angeordnet.
Die kleinen Baby-Accessoires sind, wie auch der Storch, fast alle aus Stempelsets von LawnFawn, nur die Babyflasche mit Schnuller ist Teil eines Stempels von Lili of the Valley, der Bär Teil eines Stempels von Clearly Besotted und die Bauklötze von MFT. Alle Teile sind mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape um die Buchstaben verteilt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar dunkelrote Nuvo-Drops auf der Karte verteilt.
The letters I've die cut with the Impact Alphabet die set by MFT - once from pink and once from dark red cardstock. I glued the letters on top of each other a bit offset, added some white highlights to the pink ones and then put them across the card.
The little baby accessoires are mostly from stamp sets by LawnFawn, as is the storch as well. Only the baby bottle with the pacifier are part from an image by Lili of the Valley, the bear is part of a stamp by Clearly Besotted and the building blocks are by MFT. I colored them all in with Copics, cut them out and glued them around the letters with foam tape.
The text means "welcome to this world" and is a stamp by SU.
In the end I added a few dark red Nuvo Drops to the card.
