Over at Stempeleinmaleins we are having a tutorial for a Popping Flap Card today. And to warn you - it's getting rainbow colored, glittery and all around girly on my blog today. I used the tutorial to make the card for my niece's 9th birthday. And they totally love all those things...
Ich habe hier einen lilafarbenen Kartnrohling gewählt und hellblaues Designpapier mit Sternchendruck darauf geklebt. Zuvor habe ich das noch mit Strahlen geprägt. Darauf kam dann der Mechanismus, der diese Karte besonders macht.
Here I used a purple note card and glued some light blue designer's paper with a stars print on top. Before I glued it down I even embossed a few rays into it. On top of that I glued the mechanism.
Den Mechanismus habe ich auch schwarzem Cardstock gewerkelt und mit Designpapier mit Regenbogenverlauf beklebt - auf dem Teil rechts von diesem geht der Farbverlauf weiter.
Das Du und auch das hast Geburstag sind von Stampcorner. Ich habe das Du pink coloriert und ordentlich beglittert. Dann habe ich es auf eine Comicblase - so nenne ich sie mal, denn Sprechblase ist es für mich keine - geklebt, die ich aus grünem Hologrammcardstock gestanzt habe. Dafür habe ich eine Stanze von MamaElephant genommen. Die stanzt eigentlich ein Bam! aus der Blase, ich habe die Buchstaben einfach wieder in die Ausstanzungen eingeklebt. Durch den holografischen Cardstock fällt das gar nicht auf.
Das hast Geburtstag habe ich weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und unter die Comicblase geklebt.
Das Lass' Dich feiern ist ein Stempel von JM-Creation. Eigentlich ist der dreizeilig, ich habe die ersten beiden Zeilen nebeneinander gestempelt. Gestempelt habe ich auf einen Reststreifen des Regenbogenpapieres, das passte hier farblich so toll.
Als Deko habe ich ein paar Pailetten aufgeklebt, die durften in dem Fall aber ein wenig dezenter sein.
I made the mechanism from black cardstock and covered it with a patterned paper in rainbow colors - on the part to the right of the one shown in the picture I used more of this paper.
The text means "It's your birthday - celebrate". I colored the You in pink and covered it with a thick layer of Stickles. Then I glued it onto a comic bubble - I call it like that because it somehow isn't an actual speech bubble to me. I've die cut this one from green holographic cardstock using a die by MamaElephant. It cuts a "Bang!" from the inside of the bubble but I simply glued the letters back into place. Due to the holographic cardstock you can't even see that.
The rest of the this part of the text is white heat embossed onto a piece of black cardstock. For the rest of the text I used a scrap of the rainbow colored cardstock which just fit perfectly here.
For decorations I added a few sequins, picking some in a more muted color.
Zieht man am Tab bzw. an der Schnur daran, dann klappt ein extra Element auf, das bis dahin unter dem Bereich mit dem Text verborgen war. Und so sieht das dann aus.
Ich habe es bei meiner Szene mit den Lagen ein wenig übertrieben und deshalb vorsichtshalber den Bereich, unter dem die Szene verschwindet, vorsichtshalber etwas höher gemacht. Darum wollte meine Szene nicht komplett flach liegen bleiben fürs Foto.
When you pull the tab or better the twine tied to it an extra element, that was hidden underneath the part with the text, pops up. And that's what it looks like.
Well, I went a bit overboard with all the layers on my scene. So, just to be no the safe side, I made the part with the text on it a bit higher. And that's also why my scene didn't want to lay flat for the photo.
Und hier ist die Geburtstagsszene, die ich in die Karte gepackt habe, - die Einhörner feiern eine große Party!
Die Szene ist inspiriert von einem der DT Mitglieder von MamaElephant. Die Szene auf der Karte war komplett mit Copics gestaltet, aber die regenbogenfarbenen Büsche und der Baum rechts sind von dort "geklaut".
Ich habe Wolken-Bordüren Stanzen für meine Büsche verwendet und sie dann mit Distress Oxide und der Hilfe von Wolken-Schablonen sowie der Negative der Wolken-Stanzteile quietschebunt eingefärbt. Außerdem habe ich sie ordentlich mit Glimmer Mist besprüht und mit Spica-Pens kleine Punkte als Schattierungen aufgemalt.
Der Boden ist aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Metallic-Wasserfaben in silber und schwarz besprenkelt.
Am Himmel habe ich mit weißer Acrylfarbe sowie pinkfarbener Metallic-Wasserfarbe Sterne aufgespritzt.
Und für die Deko kamen hauptsächlich die süßen Little Unicorn Agenda Stempel von MamaElephant zum Einsatz. Nur die Torte ist aus dem Set The Birthday Bash und auch der Ballon ist aus einem anderen Set von MamaElephant.
Auch die Hörner der Einhörner sowie einige Details auf der Torte sind mit Stickles überzogen.
Puh, ich finde die Karte ja nach wie vor viel zu bunt und "candylike", aber sie kam bestens beim Geburtstagskind an.
And here's the birthday scene I put on the inside - the unicorns are having a birthday party!
The scene is inspired by one of the DT members by MamaElephant. The scene on her card was completly made with Copics, but the rainbow colored bushes and the tree on the right were kind of copied from ther card.
I used cloud border dies to cut the bushes and then colored them with Distress Oxides and the help of different cloud stencils and also the negative pieces from the cloud borders. I really used a lot of different colors here and even topped that by spraying Glimmer Mist all over the bushes. I also added some tiny dots for shading to the bushes using Spica Pens in the color of each bush.
The ground is cut from light grey cardstock, then I speckled it with black and silver metallic watercolors.
To the black sky I added a bunch of stars, splattering white acrylic paint and pink metallic watercolor onto it.
As images I mainly used the Little Unicorn Agenda stamps by MamaElephant. Only the cake is from the Birthday Bash stamp set and also the balloon is from another set by MamaElephant.
I used Stickles again to add some glitter to the unicorn's horns and also some of the details on the cake.
Well, this card is still way too colorful and "candylike" for my taste, but the birthday girl loved it!
