Das Thema der LawnFawnatics Challenge #110 ist Spectacular Skies - das ist meine Karte dazu. Mir war nach einer fröhlichen Herbstkarte in warmen Farben. Nun ja, nachdem ich mit der Karte fertig war, musste ich feststellen, dass von dem "spektakulären" Himmel gar nicht mehr so viel zu sehen ist. Aber ich denke, die Karte passt trotzdem. Unter all den Motiven ist er ja dann doch noch vorhanden....

The theme for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #110 is spectacular skies - and this is the card I made. I felt like making a colorful autumn card in warm colors. Well, after I had finished my card I realized that there isn't that much left visible of my "spectacular" sky. But I still think the card fits the challenge. After all, there is the sky - somewhere under all those images...
Für meinen Himmel habe ich eine Wolkenstencil genommen und von unten her den Himmel mit Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold und Wild Honey gewischt. Darauf habe ich dann Sprenkel mit goldener und weißer Schimmer-Watercolor verteilt.
Und weil man es hier gerade so komplett sieht - als Rahmen für meine Karte habe ich den Fall Leaves Backdrop verwendet. Ich habe ihn aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und alle Blätter mit Copics coloriert. Obenauf kam dann noch ein Stitched Rectangle Frame, den ich aus einem der Bögen aus dem Watercolor Wishes Rainbow PaperPad gestanzt habe.
For the sky I used a cloud stencil and inked up some white cardstock with Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold and Wild Honey - from bottom to top. Then I added a few speckles of gold and white shimmer watercolor.
And since it's visible completly on this picture - as a frame for my scene I used the Fall Leaves Backdrop die. I've die cut it from white cardstock and colore the leaves in with my Copics. On top I placed a Stitched Rectangle Frame, die cut from one of the sheets from the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper pad.
Im unteren Bereich der Karte sieht man zwei Mäuse, die sichtlich viel Spaß bei der Arbeit in ihrem Garten haben.
Auf den Himmel habe ich erst einen Zaun gesetzt. Den habe ich aus kraftfarbenem Cardsdtock mit der Picket Fence Stanze ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich mit Distress Ink Frayed Burlap und dem Holzhintergrund aus dem Woodgrain Backdrop Stempelset die Holzmaserung aufgestempelt und anschließend den Zaun mit Distress Ink Walnut Stain ein wenig schattiert.
Als nächste Lage habe ich den Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt. Ich brauchte einfach einen großen Baum auf der Karte, von dem all das Laub, das die Mäuse da eingesammelt haben, stammen kann.
Als Boden habe ich dann einfach einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks von unten an den Zaun geklebt.
Vor dem Gartenzaun wachsen ein paar große Sonnenblumen. Die sind aus dem Stempelset Happy Harvest und, wie alle Motive auf der Karte, mit Copics coloriert. Da die Blumenstiele in dem Set viel zu kurz für meine Karte waren, habe ich einfach drei schmale Streifen dunkelgrünen Cardstocks geschnitten und als Stiele aufgeklebt.
Neben dem Baum steht ein Kürbis - ebenfalls aus dem Set Happy Harvest - und dort haben die Mäuse auch ihren Rechen abgestellt. Der ist aus dem Set You Autumn Know.
Wie man sehen kann, waren die Mäuse fleißig und haben einen ganzen Schubkarren voller Blätter zusammengesammelt. Und weil ein wenig Spaß bei der Arbeit nicht fehlen darf, hat sich eine der Mäuse oben auf den Blätterhaufen gesetzt und lässt sich nun von der anderen Maus durch den Garten fahren. Die Maus links ist aus dem Set Scootin' By, die Maus auf den Blättern aus dem Set You Atumun Know. Den Schubkarren haben sich die Mäuse von den Gnomen aus dem Set Oh Gnome geliehen. Und für die Blätter habe ich einfach den Herbst-Baum aus dem Set Tree Before 'n Afters verwendet und nur das Laub, das um den Stamm herum liegt, ausgeschnitten.
In the lower area of my card you can see two mice having lots of fun while working in the garden.
Onto the sky I first placed a fence. I've die cut it from kraft colored cardstock using the Picket Fence die. Then I used Distress Ink Frayed Burlap and the wood pattern image from the Woodgrain Backdrop stamp set to add the wooden look. I used Distress Ink Walnut Stain to lightly darken up some edges of the fence for some dimension.
Next I glued down the big tree, die cut from dark brown cardstock with the Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape die. I just needed a big tree that produced all the fallen leaves the two mice just collected.
As the ground I simply glued a strip of black cardstock under the fence and above the tree.
Close to the fence some big sunflowers are blooming. Those are from the Happy Harvest stamp set and colored with Copics, as are all images on this card. Since the stems in the stamp set were way too small for my scene I simply cut three strips from dark green cardstock and glued those down as the stems.
Next to the tree there's a pumpkin - also from the Happy Harvest stamp set - and that's also were the mice put down their rake. This is from the You Autumn Know set.
As you can see - the mice have been working hard and collected a whole wheelbarrow full of leaves. And since you should always have some fun while working, one of the mice sat down on top of the leaves in the wheelbarrow and is now getting driven around by the other mouse. The mouse on the left is from the Scootin' By stamp set, the one on top of the leaves from the You Autumn Know set. Well, the mice had to borrow the wheelbarrow from their neighbours, the gnomes from the Oh Gnome stamp set. And for the leaves I simply stamped the fall tree from the Tree Before 'n After stamp set and only cut out the leaves that lays around the trunk.
Dann habe ich noch ein paar einzelne Blätter auf der Karte verteilt, die der Wind durch die Luft bläst. Dafür habe ich Stempel aus dem Set Happy Harvest verwendet und mit gelber und brauner bzw. hell- und dunkelroter Tinte zweifarbig abgestempelt. Und damit man auch sieht, dass sie fröhlich durch die Luft tanzen, habe ich hinter die Blätter noch ein paar gepunktete Schnörkellinien aus dem Set Tree Before 'n Afters gestempelt.
Eigentlich wollte ich außen auf meine Karte gar keinen Text setzen, habe mich dann aber doch dafür entschieden. Dieser hier aus dem Set Scripty Autumn Sentiments passt einfach so super zur Karte. Ich habe ihn mit brauner Tinte auf das Stück Designpapier gestempelt, dass beim Ausstanzen des Rahmens mittig herausgestanzt wurde. Dabei habe ich auf die hellste Farbe gestempelt, die einen tollen Kontrast zum oben dunklen Rahmen bildet.
Then I added a few single leaves that are blown through the air by the wind. I used stamps from the Happy Harvest stamp set and stamped the leaves in yellow and brown or light and dark red, using two colors for each leave. And to make it visible that those leaves are floating in the air I stamped a few dotted swirls from the Tree Before 'n Afters stamp set next to the leaves.
Originally I hadn't planned a text for this card, but then I decided to add one. This one from the You Autumn Know set just goes so great with the fall theme of my card. I stamped it with brown ink onto the piece of designer's paper that got cut out from the inside of my frame. I stamped it onto the light side, which makes a great contrast to the dark color in the upper area of the frame.

Hier habe ich nochmal einen Bereich mit Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon und Wild Honey gewischt. Darauf habe ich dann mit brauner Tinte den Text gestempelt, für den ich Stempel aus den Sets You Autumn Know und Scripty Autumn Sentiments kombiniert habe.
Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar weitere Blätter, diesmal nur in rot, aufgestempelt und mit einem goldenen Glitzer Gelpen ein paar Punkte verteilt.
Here I inked up an area with Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon and Wild Honey. Then I stamped the text on top with brown ink. I combined stamps from the sets You Autumn Know and Scripty Autumn Sentiments for it.
For decorations I added a few more leaves - this time only stamped in reds - and a few dots, made with a golden glitter gel pen.
