Heute zeige ich eine weitere Weihnachtskarte auf dem Stampcorner Blog. Neu im November gibt es ein süßes Stempelset mit Mäusen - und dieser kleine Kerl hier hat es mir besonders angetan. Er ist auf jeden Fall in Weihnachtsstimmung und fängt gerade mit der Weihnachtsdeko an.

Today I'm sharing another christmas card over at the Stampcorner Blog. They have a cute stamp set with mice new with their november release - and this little cutie just wanted to go on a card immediately. He's in a christmas mood and so is just about to start decorating for the holiday season.
Ich habe hier ganz bewusst eine One Layer Card gemacht. Ja, manchmal reitet mich der Teufel... ;) Basis war ein Stück hellen craftfarbenen Cardstocks, auf dem ich die Szene gestempelt bzw. per Hand gemalt habe.
Unten auf diesen Cardstock habe ich mit weißem Embossingpulver ein deck the halls - also "dekoriert die Säle" - aus dem Stempelset Deck the Halls von LawnFawn aufembosst. Das war irgendwie der einzige Text in meinem Fundus, der zu meiner Szene passte.
Den Cardstock habe ich mit einem Stück rot-weiß gestreiften Designpapiers aus dem Cool Collab Paper Pad von MFT hinterlegt und dabei den Cardstock mit der Szene mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Dann habe ich beide Lagen auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I used a piece of light craft colored cardstock onto which I've stamped and drew the scene.
To the bottom of it I white heat embossed a deck the halls text from the Deck the Halls stamp set by LawnFawn. It actually was the only text I had in my stash that went with my scene.
I matted the cardstock with the scene with some red and white striped patterned paper from the Cool Collab paper pad by MFT, using foam tape to glue the scene onto it. Then I adhered both layers to a white note card.
Hier ist die süße Maus mit ihrere Käsegirlande! Ich habe sie abgestempelt, maskiert und dann die Christbaumkugeln um sie herum verteilt auf den Boden gestempelt.
Das Mauseloch ist, ebenso wie der Boden und die Zierleiste, per Hand gemacht. Für das Mauseloch habe ich eine Arched Window Stanzen von CraftEmotions verwendet und mit einem Bleistift nachgemalt. So wurde der Bogen schön gleichmäßig.
Coloriert habe ich die Szene mit Copics. Der kraftfarbene Cardstock ist sehr fasrig und somit eigentlich nicht so toll für die Coloration mit Copics geeignet. Ich habe die Farbe jeweils gut trocknen lassen, bevor ich einen angrenzenden Bereich coloriert habe. Anschließend habe ich einen weißen Polychromo benutzt, um einige Stellen ein wenig aufzuhellen. Durch den kraftfarbenen Cardstock wirken die Farben immer ein wenig dunkler. Ich habe mit dem Polychromo nur ganz leicht die Stellen übermalt, die ich aufhellen wollte.
Das Fell an der Mütze sowie die Highlights auf den Christbaumkugeln habe ich mit einem weißen Gelpen gemacht.
Anschließend habe ich die Maus und das Mauseloch maskiert und den Bereich unterhalb der Randleiste an der Wand ebenfalls mit Masking Tape abgedeckt. Mit einem feinen Blender Brush habe ich dann die Wand hinter der Maus und rund um das Mauseloch mit weißer Stempelfarbe gewischt.
Here's the cute mouse with its cheese garland. I stamped it, masked it and then added the baubles around her on the ground.
The mouse hole is added free hand - as is the floor and the trim on the wall. For the mouse hole I used one of the Arched Window dies by CraftEmotions and followed the outline with a pencil. That way the arch got pretty even.
I used Copics to color this scene. The craft colored cardstock I used is very fibrous and not really made to color onto with Copics. So I let each area dry completly before I colored one next to it. Then I used a white Polychromo to light up a few areas. Copics always look darker when used on colored cardstock. I used a very light hand with the Polychromos in the areas I wanted to light up.
The fur on the hat and the highlights on the baubles are made with a white gel pen.
I masked off the mouse and the mouse hole and also the area under the trim with masking tape. Then used a small blender brush to apply some white ink to the wall in the background.
Und hier sieht man noch, wie das 3D Tape unter dem Cardstock mit der Szene der Karte einen tollen Touch verleiht.
And here you can see how the foam tape I used to attach the cardstock with the scene adds some dimension to the card.
