Es gibt wieder eine neue Create a Smile Challenge - und nach dem gewohnten Rhythmus gibt es diesmal wieder einen neuen Sketch für Euch:

Ja ich weiß, Biene war schon mal Thema einer meiner Karten. Aber bei dem im Sketch eingezeichneten Hexagon konnte ich einfach nicht anders, denn das gibt die Bienenwabe ja schon fast vor.
Ich habe hier cremefarbenen Cardstock verwendet und erst das große Hexagon mit der Basic Hexagons Stencil und Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade und Wild Honey aufgewischt. Darum herum verteilt habe ich dann mit den Layered Hexagons Stencils - hier nur mit zwei der drei Stencils - noch einige weitere Waben auf dem Kartenhintergrund verteilt. Komplett füllen wollte ich den Cardstock damit nicht, deswegen habe ich die Stencil auch einige Male verschoben, um alle Waben mit genug Abstand zu der großen Wabe anzuordnen. Ich habe hier ebenfalls Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade und Wild Honey zum Wischen verwendet.
Anschließend habe ich ein wenig goldfarbene Metallic Watercolor über den Cardstock gespritzt.
Später habe ich den Cardstock dunkelbraun gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.
Yes, I know that I've already made a bee themed card for one of the challenges. But with this sketch and the included hexagon shape I just couldn't resist since it kind of looks like a honeycomb already.
I've used a piece of cream colored cardstock and first added the large hexagon to it using the Basic Hexagons stencil and Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey. Around it I've then added some smaller hexagons with the Layered Hexagons stencils - only using two of the three on this card. I didn't want to fill the complete cardstock and moved the stencils around a bit to get enough distance to the large hexagon. Again I've used Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey to add those smaller hexagons.
Then I spritzed some golden metallic watercolor over the cardstock.
Later I've matted the cardstock dark brown and glued both layers onto a white note card.
Aus dem großen Hexagon habe ich dann einen Shaker gemacht. Für den Rahmen habe ich die Negativteile der Hexagons, die ebenfalls mit der Stencil geliefert werden, verwendet um die äußere Größe passend zu schneiden und dann mit etwas Abstand dazu parallel zu den Kanten innen mit einem Cutter geschnitten.
Gefüllt ist der Shaker mit kleinen goldenen und gold-braunen Kügelchen und goldenen Pailetten.
Der Honigtopf, die kleine Blüte und der Honiglöffel sind aus dem Stempelset Hey Honey, die Margeriten aus dem Set Dicke Freunde, alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert. Ich habe sie ausgeschnitten und rechts an den Shaker gesetzt. Die Blätter im Hintergrund sind aus dem Set Wildflowers. Ich habe sie mit Versafine Clair Shady Lane gestempelt, den unteren Teil der einzelnen Blätter noch mit Rain Forest eingefärbt und nochmal abgestempelt, so dass die Blätter zweifarbig sind. Dann habe ich mit einem weißen Gelstift - auch auf den anderen Motiven - einige Highlights gesetzt und per Hand das Wort Honig auf den Honigtopf geschrieben.
Für das Wort hallo habe ich das Stanzenset Doppelte Hallo verwendet - wobei es in meinem Fall eher ein dreifaches Hallo ist. Ich habe die gefüllte Lage aus dunkelbraunem Cardstock gestanzt und dann erst den Aufleger aus orange-gelbem Cardstock gestanzt und aufgeklebt. Das war mir aber zu wenig Kontrast zum Untergrund. Deswegen habe ich diese Lage nochmal aus goldenem Spiegelcardstock gestanzt und versetzt oben auf die orangefarbene Lage geklebt.
Das Hallo ist auf die Folie des Shakers geklebt, darunter habe ich einen Streifen cremefarbenen Cardstocks gesetzt, auf das ich mit brauner Tinte und einem Stempel aus dem Set Dicke Freunde das Wort Fleißbiene gestempelt habe.
Darüber musste ich dann unbedingt noch die kleine Biene setzen. Die ist einer der Mini-Stempel, von denen man zu jeder Bestellung einen gratis dazubekommt. Der größere Bruder ist im Set Dicke Freunde enthalten.
Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch einige braune, herzförmige Pailetten auf der Karte verteilt.
I turned the large hexagon in the sketch into a shaker. For the frame I used one of the negative pieces that also come with the hexagon stencil to cut some hexagons in the matching size. Then I used a cutter and cut with some distance inside the hexagon to get the frame.
The shaker is filled with tiny gold and gold-brown beads and some gold sequins.
The honey jar, the small flower and the spoon are from the Hey Honey stamp set, the flowers behind it are from the Best Bugs set, all images are colored with Copics. The leaves behind the images are from the set Wildflowers. I've stamped these with Versafine Clair Shady Lane, then inked up just the bottom part of the leaf with Rain Forest and stamped the image again so the leaves are two toned. Then I used a white gel pen to add some highlights, also to the other images, and hand wrote the word honey onto the honey jar.
For the word hello I used the Hello Twice die set, but in my case it ended up as a triple hello. First I've cut the solid layer from dark brown cardstock, then the top one from an orange-yellow cardstock and glued both layers on top of each other. But that didn't provide enough contrast to the background. So I've cut the top layer again from golden mirror cardstock and glued it on top of the orange layer, shifting it a bit to the top right.
I glued the word hello onto the acetate that makes the shaker top, then glued a strip of cream colored cardstock under it, onto that I've stamped a "busy bee" image with brown ink.
I just had to add the tiny bee to my card. It's one of the free minis, that you get one of with each order, the larger brother is included in the Best Bugs set.
In the end I've added some brown, heart shaped sequins to my card.
