Eine Herbstkarte mit Glow-Stamping

Durch einen IG Post von Jennifer McGuire bin ich auf ihre Share Handmade Kindness Gruppe auf FB gestoßen - eine tolle Gruppe, in der es ums Basteln geht, und nur darum. Dramafrei, politikfrei dafür voller lieber Worte und toller Inspirationen/Werke. 

Dort gibt es einmal im Monat eine Challenge, bei der ein Technikvideo von Jennifer gewählt wird, mit der Technik soll ein Werk gemacht werden. Für September ist es "Glow Stamping" - und ich muss sagen, das ist ein Video, das absolut an mir vorbeigegangen ist. Kommt sehr selten vor. Also, die Technik musste probiert werden. Und das ist meine Karte.

Due to a IG post by Jennifer McGuire I found her Share Handmade Kindess group on FB - a great group all around crafting, and only about crafting. Drama free, no politics but lots of kind words and great inspirations/crafts.

They do a challenge each month where a technique video by Jennifer gets picked and you have to use that technique for a card/craft project. For september it's Glow Stamping - and I have to admit, I so missed this video. I have no idea how that happened, since I barely miss any of her videos since 2 years or so. So, I had to give it a try, and this is the card I ended up with.

Beim Glow Stamping wird ein Motiv erst mit weißer Stempelfarbe auf dunklen/farbigen Cardstock gestempelt, nach dem Trocknen kommt farbige Tinte darüber. Dadurch bekommt das Motiv eine Art von Leuchten. Ein toller Effekt.

Jetzt bin ich ja eigentlich eher der Cute-Stempler, der mit colorierten Motiven arbeitet. Und es war echt schwer, einen flächig stempelnden Stempel in meinen Schränken zu finden. Geworden ist es dann das Fall Flowers Stempelset von Clearly Besotted, in dem tolle flächige Blätter enthalten sind. 

Jennifer arbeitet in ihrem Video mit Hintergrundstempeln, was natürlich viel schneller geht, als ein Motiv abzustempeln, trocknen zu lassen, farbig zu stempeln und dann zum nächsten Motiv zu gehen. Hat sich schon ein wenig gezogen, aber ich habe die Zeit dazwischen für andere Projekte genutzt. Offenbar habe ich nicht lang genug gewartet, denn teilweise hat die farbige Tinte nicht so toll auf der weißen Farbe gehalten. Und weil es doch ein wenig gedauert hat, habe ich nur einige Blätter im Hintergrund quer über die Karte gestempelt. Aber das Leuchten sieht man, finde ich!

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop von LawnFawn aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt und die Ränder mit Distress Ink Vintage Photo und Ground Espresso gewischt, was auch die Holzlinien mehr zum Vorschein gebracht hat. Auf dem Hintergrund habe ich ein paar goldene Shimmer Watercolor-Spritzer verteilt. 

When Glow Stamping, you stamp a solid image with white ink onto dark/colored cardstock first, after letting the ink dry the image gets stamped again with colored ink. That makes the image kind of glow - a great effect.

Well, I am a cute stamper using mainly colored images and finding a solid stamped image in my stash was a challenge. But I had this Fall Flowers stamp set by Clearly Besotted with lots of great solid leaves.

Jennifer is using background stamps in her video, and that way her glow stamping is done way faster than when using an individual stamp, letting the white ink dry, stamp on top with colored ink and then move on to the next image. It took some time, but I used that to work on another project. Seems like I didn't wait long enough for the ink to dry because it kind of stamped off when doing the next image, but that's fine with me. I only stamped a few leaves across my background because it really was time comsuming that way. But I think you can see the glow on the leaves.

For the background I've die cut the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop by LawnFawn from brown cardstock and inked it from the edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso, what also brought out the stitched lines some more. Onto the background I splattered some drops of golden shimmer watercolor.

Hier sieht man die Blätter besser. Ich habe sie mit Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Fired Brick und Vintage Photo gestempelt und je dunkler die Farbe wurde, immer kleinere Flächen eingefärbt. Lustigerweise sind die Blätter, die ich mit Fired Brick gestempelt habe, nach dem Trocknen lila geworden. Passt aber auch, finde ich. Auf diesen beiden dunklen Blättern habe ich dann noch die Outlines und Blattadern, die extra Stempel im Set sind, aufgestempelt.

Rechts und links habe ich jeweils noch einen kleinen Tannenzweig aus dem Handlettered Holiday Greetings Set mit aufgestempelt und dafür Distress Oxide Peeled Paint und Rustic Wilderness verwendet. 

Vor die Blätter habe ich zwei Kürbisse gesetzt. Sie sind, ebenso wie das Wort Autumn, aus dem Stempelset Autumn Blessings von MFT. Ich habe sie per No-Line Coloring mit Copics und Polychromos coloriert. 

Für das Wort Autumn habe ich einige der Farben benutzt, mit denen ich auch die Blätter gestempelt habe, und das Wort im Ombre-Look gestempelt.

Die Texte sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Dann habe ich alle Elemente, teilweise mit 3D Tape in zwei Stärken, auf die Karte geklebt.

Und in einem Video von Sandy Allnock hatte ich die "Glitzerspur" gesehen. Naja, warum nicht, habe ich mir gedacht. Die Karte hier ist zwar nicht irgendwie "magisch", aber ich finde, sie macht sich dort trotzdem super.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar gold-glitzernde Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt und einen dünnen Rahmen, gestanzt aus goldenem Glittercardstock, aufgeklebt. Goldener Herbst, eben!

Here you get a better look at the leaves. I stamped those with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Vintage Photo onto the images stamped with white ink and inked up less areas the darker my ink got. Funny that the leaves stamped with Fired Brick turned purple after they had dried completly, but I think it goes great with the card as well. Onto those two dark leaves I decided to add the outlines that are an extra stamp in the set.

On the left and right I added a little pine branch from the Handlettered Holiday Greetings stamp set by MFT and used Distress Oxide Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness to stamp them.

Onto the leaves I added two pumkins. Those and the word autumn are from the Autumn Blessings stamp set by MFT. I did some no-line coloring here using my Copics and Polychromos.

For the word autumn I used some of the colors I also used to stamp the leaves and did the word in an ombre look.

The texts are white heat embossed onto black cardstock. Then I glued down all elements, using foam tape in two different thicknesses for some of them.

And in a video by Sandy Allnock I saw her adding these "glitter trails" with a white gel pen. Why not try it for this card, even if it isn't any kind of magic related. And I really like it!

In the end I added a few golden glitter Enamel Dots and a thin frame, die cut from golden glitter cardstock. It's the golden season, right?

Ein Hai zum Geburtstag

Der Freund einer meiner Töchter hatte Geburtstag, klar, dass er da auch eine Karte bekommt. Er surft und wakeboarded viel und gern - da war der geniale Hai von WhimsyStamps ein Must Have für mich und perfekt für diese Karte.

One of my daughter's boy friend just celebrated his birthday and of course I made him a card. He loves to surf and wakeboard - so this great shark image by WhimsyStamps was a must have for me and perfect for his card.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Sunburst Backdrop von LawnFawn aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire, Wilted Violet und Chipped Sapphire gewischt. Für den oxidierten Effekt habe ich ein paar Wassertropfen darüber gespritzt. 

Darüber kam dann die Aloha Cover Plate Stanze von HeroArts, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock. In der schmalen Linie oben steht eigentlich Aloha, daher der Name. Ich habe die Buchstaben hier rausgeschnitten und durch in der Größe passende für das Wort Happy ersetzt. Dafür habe ich das Captions Alphabet von MFT verwendet. Auch die Berge, die hinter dem Meer aufsteigen, habe ich weggeschnitten.

Den Sand und das Meer habe ich aus braunem bzw. türkisfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und hinter die Palmen geklebt.

Um den Text zu ergänzen, habe ich mit der Happy Birthday Script Stanze nur das Wort Birthday aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und auf den Hintergrund aufgeklebt.

For the background I've die cut the Sunburst Backdrop by LawnFawn from white cardstock and inked it up with Distress Oxide Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire, Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire. For the oxide effect I sprinkled a few drops of water over the cardstock.

On top I glued the Aloha Cover Plate by HeroArts, die cut from black cardstock. Oringially there's the word Aloha written between the two lines across the die - hence the name. I've cut out the letters and replaced them with individual ones in about the same size to write the word happy. I used the Captions Alphabet by MFT here. I also cut off the mountains that are behind the ocean in the original die cut piece.

I've die cut the sand and the ocean from brown and turquoise cardstock and glued those behind the palm trees.

To finish the text I've die cut the word Birthday from black cardstock using the Happy Birthday Script die by MFT and then glued it across the background.

Und hier ist der geniale Hai aus dem Stempelset Surf Shark von WhimsyStamps. Ich habe ihn mit Copics coloriert und für den Hawai-Hemd Look  ein paar winzige Blumen auf die Badeshorts gestempelt.

Dann habe ich den Hai ausgeschnitten und auf die Szene aufgeklebt.

And here's the amaing shark from the Surf Shark stamp set by WhimsyStamps. I colored him in with Copics and stamped a few tiny flowers onto his surf shorts for a Hawaiian shirt kind of look. 

Then I cut him out and glued him onto the scene.

LawnFawnatics Challenge #108

An der letzten LawnFawnatics Challenge konnte ich nicht mitmachen, da wir im Urlaub waren. Für die neue Challenge #108 aber habe ich dann wieder eine Karte geschafft.

Das Thema der Challenge ist ein Inspirations-Foto, das mich an einen Nachthimmel  mit Polarlicht erinnert hat. Ich zeige Euch das Bild mal:

We were on vacation so I didn't have a chance to participate in the last LawnFawnatics Challenge. But for the new challenge #108 I got a card done.

The theme is an inspiration photo, that reminds me of a night sky with polar lights. I am going to share that picture with you:

Ja, Ozean wäre auch gegangen, aber basteltechnisch bin ich mit dem Sommer irgendwie durch. Und so ist diese Karte mit interaktivem Element entstanden.

Yes, it could also be some tropical waters, but I am done with summer, at least craftwise. And so I made this card with an interactive element.

Ich habe hier endlich den Forest Backdrop eingeweiht - und so sitzen die beiden Eichhörnchen auf einer Waldlichtung und schauen in den Sternenhimmel. Und siehe da, da fällt eine Sternschnuppe! 

Ich habe den Forest Backdrop aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und den Rand entlang des Ausschnitts mit Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon ein wenig eingefärbt, so dass er zum Nachthimmel passt. Außenherum habe ich den schwarzen Cardstock sichtbar gelassen.

Aus zwei verschiedenen Grüntönen habe ich zusätzlich noch weitere Bäume sowie zwei Hügel gestanzt. Die Bäume sind im Set mit dem Hintergrund enthalten, für die Hügel habe ich die Slimeline Stitched Hills Stanzen benutzt. Den etwas dunkleren Cardstock habe ich jeweils von unten her mit Distress Oxide Black Soot, den helleren mit Forest Moss eingefärbt. Außerdem habe ich ein paar Spritzer Schimmer-Watercolor auf den Stanzteilen verteilt. Da ich keinen passenden Grünton hatte, habe ich gold und grün vermischt und für die dunkleren Teile noch etwas schwarz hinzugefügt. 

Die Bäume im Vordergrund sind mit Distress Oxide Forest Moss eingefärbt. Irgendwie hat der Cardstock die grüne Tinte aufgesogen, so dass nur die weißen Pigmente sichtbar blieben. 

Ich habe alle Teile mit 3D Tape aufeinander geklebt.

Here I finally used the Forest Backdrop - and so these two squirrels are sitting on a clearing, watching the night sky. And just in that moment a star is falling down!

I've die cut the Forest Backdrop from black cardstock and inked up the area close to the cut out with Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon to make it match the night sky. I left the black cardstock visible at the outer edges.

I used two different tones of green cardstock to cut more trees and two hills. The trees come in the Forest Backdrop die set, for the hills I used the Slimline Stitched Hills dies. I inked up the pieces cut from darker green cardstock with Distress Oxide Black Soot and Forest Moss for the lighter pieces. I also spritzed some metallic watercolors onto all these die cuts. Since I didn't have a matching green I simply mixed some gold and green and added a bit of black for the splatters on the darker die cuts. 

The trees in the foreground are inked up with Distress Oxide Forest Moss. Somehow the cardstock seems to have soaked up all the green ink so only the white pigments are left visible. 

I glued all pieces on top of each other with foam tape.

Für den Nachthimmel war ich ein wenig zwischen Alcohol Inks und Brushos hin- und hergerissen. Da ich aber ein wenig Angst hatte, dass die Alcohol Inks ein wenig klebrig bleiben und somit den Mechanismus stören könnten, habe ich mich für Brushos entschieden. Die fristen hier eh ein jämmerliches Dasein... Ich habe blaue und grüne Pigmente auf Watercolor Cardstock gestreut, Wasser darüber gespritzt und alles mit dem Air Blower von Tim Holtz verwischt. Ich denke, so habe ich das Inspirationsphoto ganz gut wiedergegeben. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe als Sterne über den Hintergrund gespritzt.

Die Sterne und der Mond sind auch aus dem Forest Backdrop Stanzenset. Ich habe sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Die beiden süßen Eichhörnchen sind aus dem Stempelset Happy Hugs. Ich finde, die beiden passen einfach perfekt zum Text, den ich für diese Karte verwendet habe.

For the night sky I was torn between using Alcohol Inks and Brushos. Since I was afraid the Alcohol Inks might stay a bit sticky and so disturb the mechanism I went with the Brushos. I really use these like once in two years so it was time again... I sprinkled some blue and green pigments onto some watercolor cardstock, misted the cardstock with water and then used my Air Blower by Tim Holtz to move the color around. I think I kind of got the look of the inspiration picture. After the ink had dried I spritzed some white acrylic paint as stars over it.

The stars and moon also come in the Forest Backdrop die set. I've die cut them from white cardstock and colored them with Copics.

The two cute squirrels are from the Happy Hugs stamp set. I thought those two go great with the sentiment I used on this card.

Zwischen die Tannenbäume im Wald habe ich noch ein paar Pilze und Grasbüschel verteilt. Ja, auch die sind im Forest Backdrop Set enthalten.

Für den Text habe ich drei Stempel aus dem Set Dandy Day kombiniert. Die sind eigentlich geschwungen. Ich habe sie so gerade wie ich konnte in mein Misti geklebt und dann auf grünen Cardstock abgestempelt. Anschließend habe ich den Text weiß embosst. Er ist noch ein klein wenig wellig, aber ich finde, das fällt kaum auf.

Between the trees I added a few toadstools and grass. Yes, also these come in the Forest Backdrop die set.

For the text I combined three stamps from the Dandy Day stamp set. Oringially these are a bit curved. I placed them as straight as possible into my Misti and stamped them onto a strip of green cardstock. Then I white heat embossed the text. It's still a little bit wonky, but I think it's only visible if you know it.

Für den Mechanismus habe ich das Swish and Pop Stanzenset benutzt. Der Mechanismus ist hinter den Hügeln versteckt, der bewegliche Arm ist aus Acetate gestanzt. 

For the mechanism I used the Swish and Pop die set. The mechanism is hidden behind the hills, the moving arm is die cut from acetate.

Verrückt?

Heute wird es verrückt! Und dem armen Huhn hat keiner geglaubt, dass es Aliens wirklich gibt... stattdessen wurde es in eine Zwangsjacke gesteckt. Aber auf meiner Karte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner  Blog zeige, könnt Ihr den Beweis sehen!

I'm getting a bit crazy today. No one believed that poor chicken that those aliens have long landed... Instead it was put into a straightjacket. But on this card, that I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today, you can see the prove that it was right!

Für den Hintergrund habe ich wieder Distress Sprays verwendet - hier Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans und Chipped Sapphire. Die habe ich auf ein angefeuchtetes Stück Watercolor Cardstock gesprüht, getrocknet, nochmal in den Rest Farbe getaucht und ganz zum Schluss nochmal ein wenig Wasser darüber gesprüht. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich noch Sterne mit weißer Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

For the background I used Distress Sprays again - here Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. I sprayed those onto a piece of watercolor paper, slightly covered with water, dried it, pressed it into the drops of color left on my watercolor mat and in the end I sprayed some water over the whole background again. After the paper had dried completly I splattered some white acrylic paint over it. 

Ihr habt es sicher schon erkannt - das verrückte Huhn ist aus dem Stempelset Sensenmann. Ich habe es hier auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit einer der Strahlenstanzen aus dem UFO Set von WhimsyStamps ausgestanzt. Unten habe ich ich mit der selben Stanze den Strahl ein wenig gekürzt, so dass alles schön auf meine Karte passt. Dann habe ich Strahl und Huhn mit Copics coloriert und für die weißen Highlights/Details einen weißen Gelpen verwendet.

Kombiniert habe ich das Motiv hier mit den süßen Space Minions von WhimsyStamps. In die war ich ja sofort verliebt. Ich habe sie aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt, mit Copics ein wenig schattiert und hinter die Augen schwarzen Cardstock geklebt.

Für den Boden habe ich mit einer gestichten Hügelstanze ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock gestanzt und unten auf meinen Hintergrund aufgeklebt.

Für die Texte habe ich Stempel aus den Sets Sensenmann und Nur kein Stress kombiniert. Ich habe sie mit schwarzem Embossingpulver auf Vellum embosst. Schwarzer Cardstock war mir zu dunkel, weißer hätte zu hart gewirkt. Aber durch das Vellum kann man den Text gut lesen und trotzdem den Hintergrund durch das Vellum hindurch sehen.

This amazing chicken is from a stamp set by Stampcorner. I stamped it onto white cardstock and then used one of the ray dies from the UFO die set by WhimsyStamps to cut it out. I used the same die to shorten the ray a bit so it fits nicely onto my card. Then I colored the ray and the chicken with Copics and added some highlights/details with a white gel pen.

I combined this image with the cute Space Minions by WhimsyStamps. I immediately fell in love with those. I've die cut them from green cardstock, shaded them a bit with my Copics and glued some black cardstock behind the eyes.

For the ground I used a rounded stitched border die to die cut the top edge of a piece of black cardstock and then glued it onto my background.

The saying on this card means "Crazy? Yeah, man!". I black heat embossed them onto Vellum. I didn't want to glue two strips of black cardstock across my card, but white cardstock would have been too hard here. Now the text is visible and you can still see the background through the vellum.

Und natürlich muss der Strahl auch irgendwoher kommen. Deswegen habe ich das Ufo, ebenfalls aus dem Stanzenset UFO, oben an den Himmel geklebt. Ich habe es aus schwarzem Cardstock und matt-silbernem Metallik-Cardstock gestanzt und die Lichter mit grünem und pinkfarbenem Cardstock hinterlegt. Und am Steuer sitzt ein weiterer grüner Alien.

And of course the ray has to come from somewhere. So I glued the UFO, also from the UFO die set, onto the sky. I've die cut it from black cardstock and matt silver metallic cardstock and put some green and pink cardstock behind the lights. The UFO is flewn by another green alien.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Der Titel dieses Posts passt sowohl zum Motiv/zur Szene meiner Karte, als auch zur Karte selbst. Denn das ist wahrscheinlich die größte Karte, die ich jemals gemacht habe. 

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich das Best Pun Ever Stempelset erstanden - und seit dem Moment, als ich es hatte, wusste ich, dass ich damit eine solche Karte machen möchte. Jetzt habe ich viele sommerliche Karten gemacht, immer in der Hoffnung, der Sommer würde doch endlich noch Fahrt aufnehmen. Hat er ja leider nicht wirklich. Und nachdem ich schon die ersten Halloweenkarten gemacht habe, war mir auch danach, dieses Herbstthema umzusetzen. 

Die Karte sieht aus wie eine Slimline Karte - aber sie ist knapp 30 cm breit und 11 cm hoch. Aber wenn es Mini Slimline Karten gibt, warum nicht auch Maxi Slimline Karten?

Keine Angst, ich habe sie "in Stücken" für Euch fotografiert, damit Ihr die Szene auch gut erkennen könnt.

The title of this post goes perfectly with the scene on my card, but also with my card itself. This is the biggest card I've ever made.

Some time ago I got the Best Pun Ever stamp set - and from the moment I had it in my hands I knew I wanted to make this scene with it. Well, I have been making summer-ish cards, always hoping that summer would decide to really kick in here in Germany. It didn't, and since I already made a few Halloween cards I finally also felt like making this fall-ish scene.

This card looks like a Slimline Card - but it's nearly 12" wide and 4" tall. But since there are Mini Slimline Cards out there, why not a Maxi Slimline Card also?

Don't worry, I took several close ups to really show the scene.

 

Ich habe durch Partial Diecutting und mit der größten der Stitched A2 Frames einen Rahmen aus braunem Cardstock für meine Szene gestanzt. So wird alles eine Einheit. 

Im Hintergrund befindet sich weißer Cardstock, den ich mit Distress Ink Broken China gewischt habe.

Ich hatte die Karte an dem Tag angefangen, bevor wir in den Urlaub gefahren sind - und wollte sie unbedingt fertig machen. Denn nichts ist frustrierender, als in ein absolut chaotisches Zimmer zurück zu kommen. Aber alles wieder neu auspacken, wollte ich dann auch  nicht. Deswegen ist vielleicht ein wenig weniger Wischen und Spritzen und Co auf der Karte integriert. Aber ich denke, das braucht sie auch gar nicht. 

Ganz im Hintergrund habe ich zwei Hügel in die Landschaft gesetzt, gestanzt mit dem Hügel aus dem Leafy Tree Backdrop Stanzenset aus dunkelgrünem Cardstock. Auf einem der Hügel liegen ein paar Kürbisse aus dem Spooky Village Stempelset.

Davor befindet sich eine Lage hohen Grases, das ich mit der Cattails Border Stanze gemacht habe. Die Rohrkolben habe ich dann einfach herausgeschnitten. Diese Lage ist mit Distress Ink Peeled Paint ein wenig von unten her eingefärbt.

 

I did some partial diecutting with the biggest of the Stitched A2 frame dies to create a frame from brown cardstock for this scene, which brings it all together.

In the background I used some white cardstock and inked it up with Distress Ink Broken China. 

I started this card the day before we left for vacation - and really wanted to finish it that day. There's nothing more frustrating than coming home to a complete mess. But putting everything away to only bring it out again later wasn't an option either. So this card may have a little less ink blending and color spritzing than usual, but I don't think it needed it since I like it the way it is.

In the background I placed two hills, die cut from dark green cardstock with the hills die from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die set. On one of the hills I placed some more pumpkins from the Spooky Village stamp set.

On top of that I put down a layer of high grass, made with the Cattails Border die. I simply cut off the cattails after die cutting and inked up this border die cut with Distress Ink Peeled Paint, keeping it dark at the bottom and lighter towards the top.

Ich habe den Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape zweimal aus kraftfarbenem Cardstock gestanzt, einen davon "auf den Kopf gedreht und jeweils eine seitliche Begrenzung weggeschnitten. Die beiden Teile habe ich dann an den Längsseiten leicht überlappen lassen und habe so einen breiten Rahmen mit je einem Baum links und rechts erhalten. 

Als Blätter habe ich gestitchte Wolken aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann in Rot-, Orange und Gelbtönen mit kleinen Punkten coloriert, so dass das Laub schön bunt wirkt.

Im linken Baum springt ein kleines Eichhörnchen, das sich die Siegerehrung beim Kürbiswettbewerb nicht entgehen lassen will und aus dem Baum besonders gute Sicht hat.

Here's the left side of the card.

I die cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape twice from craft colored cardstock, then put one of them upside down and cut off the side edge. I placed both pieces next to each other, overlapping the top and bottom edge just a bit and this way ended up with a frame with a tree on each side.

For the leaves in the trees I used some stitched cloud borders to die cut these from white cardstock, then colored the leaves by making a bunch of dots with some red, orange and yellow Copics.

In the left tree a little squirrel is jumping around, wanting to have the best view onto the scene above and the winner of the pumpkin contest.

Auf der rechten Seite habe ich, inspiriert durch das Acorn House und das Mushroom House, versucht, ein Kürbishaus zu gestalten. Naja, irgendwie sieht es ein wenig schönkellos aus, aber doch auch süß. Ich habe dafür mit der Pumpkin Frame Stanze aus einem orangefarbenen Bogen aus dem Watercolor Wishes Rainbow zwei Kürbisse ausgestanzt. Aus einem habe ich nur den mittleren Teil ausgeschnitten und dann mit 3D Tape auf den kompletten Kürbis geklebt. Zuvor habe ich die Teile des kompletten Kürbis mit Distress Ink Dried Marygold von unten her eingefärbt, für den mittleren Teil habe ich Spiced Marmalade verwendet. Die Tür, Fenster, Schornstein und Treppe sind mit verschiedenen Stanzen aus den Mushroom House und Acorn House Stanzensets gemacht. Ich hoffe ja, dass es im neuen LawnFawn Release ein "echtes" Kürbishaus geben wird!

Neben dem Kürbishaus habe ich zwei Sonnenblumenaus dem Stempelset Happy Harvest gepflanzt.

On the right side I tried to create a pumpkin house, inspired by the Acorn House and Mushroom House dies. Well, it looks a bit plain, but also cute. To create it I've die cut two of the Pumpkin Frames from an orange sheet of the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper pad. From one of them I cut off the sides and then glued this on top of the complete one with dimensionals. Before I glued them together, I inked up the complete pumpkin with Distress Ink Dried Marygold - again just the bottom of it. For the middle part I used Spiced Marmalade. The door, windows, chimney and stairs are made with different dies from the Mushroom House and the Acorn House die sets. I'd really love them bringing out a "real" pumpkin house with their new release.

Next to the pumpkin house I planted two sunflowers from the Happy Harvest stamp set.

Und hier ist der eigentliche Star der Szene - und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Das süße Eichhörnchen freut sich wahnsinnig, dass es den ersten Platz beim Kürbis-Wettbewerb gemacht hat! Gerade eben schafft er es noch, den schweren Pokal in die Luft zu heben. Sein Gewinner-Kürbis befindet sich auf dem gelben Wagen hinter ihm. Der ist so groß, den konnte er nicht mal tragen. Kein Wunder, dass er damit gewonnen hat. Und eine Urkunde gab es für den ersten Platz natürlich auch!

Daneben sieht man die anderen Teilnehmer des Wettbewerbs mit ihren Kürbissen - alle freuen sich mit dem Sieger.

Ich habe hier Stempel aus den Sets Happy Harvest, Best Pun Ever, Let's Go Nuts, Plan On It School, Spooky Village, Pick of the Patch und Forrest Feast verwendet. Ich hoffe, ich habe in der Aufzählung kein Set vergessen.

Und im Hintergrund habe ich für das Maisfeld eine Technik ausprobiert, die ich vor kurzem in einem Video gesehen hatte. Dort wurde der Stempel mit einem Pinsel mit Watercolor eingefärbt und dann abgestempelt. So ergibt sich der tolle verwaschene Look, der den Eindruck erweckt, als stände der Mais weit entfernt. Also habe ich Distress Ink Peeled Paint mit Wasser gemischt, auf den Stempel aufgetupft und den abgestempelt. Die Maiskolben habe ich mit mit Wasser vermischtem Fossilized Amber dann direkt "coloriert". 

Alle anderen Motive sind mit Copics coloriert.

And here's the star of my scene - literally. The cute squirrel is over the moon to have made the first place in the pumpkin contest! He just barely can lift the golden cup. His big pumpkin is loaded on the yellow waggon. It's that big, he couldn't carry it. No wonder he won with this one! And of course he also got a winner certificate!

Next to him are all the other participiants of the contest - and they all are rejoicing with the winner.

Here I used stamps from the sets Happy Harvest, Best Pun Ever, Let's Go Nuts, Plan On It School, Spooky Village, Pick of the Patch and Forrest Feast - I hope I didn't forget to list one.

For the corn field in the background I tried I technique I recently saw in a video: The stamp gets inked up with a brush with watercolors and then stamped. That creates the wash-y look and the look of the field being in the distant. So I mixed some Distress Ink Peeled Paint with Water, dabbed it onto the stamp and stamped that on the background paper. For the corn I used Fossilized Amber, also mixed with water, and "colored" them directly.

All the other images are colored with Copics.

Und dann fehlte noch ein Text auf meiner Karte. Zuerst hatte ich überlegt, hier schmale Cardstockstreifen mit aufembosstem Text aufzukleben, mich dann aber dazu entschieden, den Text direkt auf den Himmel zu stempeln. 

Das Congrats ist aus dem Set Big Scripty Words, das "you did it" darunter aus dem Set Jump for Joy. Nach dem Stempeln der Texte habe ich noch ein paar kleine Wolken aus dem Set Spooky Village rund um den Text aufgeklebt.

And then my card needed a greeting. First I thought about adding cardstock strips with the text embossed onto them, but then decided to stamp it directly onto the sky.

The congrats is from the set Big Scripty Words, the "you did it" under it is from the Jump for Joy set. After stamping the words I added a few little clouds from the Spooky Village stamp set around the text.

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Ja, der Herbst ist da, das ist nicht mehr zu leugnen. Und auch wenn die Blätter noch nicht wirklich bunt sind, man merkt es bereits stark an der Stimmung draußen... Und so zeige ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog diese Karte, um den Herbst willkommen zu heißen.

Yes, fall is here, we can't deny it anymore. Even if the leaves aren't really colored yet, you can feel and see it when you're outside... And so I'm sharing this card over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today to welcome fall.

Bestimmt habt Ihr auch schon die vielen tollen Karten mit einem komplett selbstgestalteten Hintergrund gesehen. Ich finde die klasse und wollte mich auch mal an einer versuchen. 

Naja, in meinem Kopf sah es anders aus, und ob ich das öfter mache, stelle ich mal dahin. Ich glaube, das Stempeln liegt mir dann doch mehr. Aber zumindest schön golden-herbstlich ist meine Karte geworden.

Ich habe für meine Karte den Hintergrund mit Wasserfarben gestaltet - ja auch nicht unbedingt meine Königsdisziplin. Ganz vorne habe ich den Blätterhaufen aus dem Stempelset Pile of Fun von MFT zweimal abgestempelt und ihn dabei so gedreht, dass in der Mitte ein Weg frei geblieben ist. Dann habe ich alles mit Watercolors in Gelb-, Orange- und Rottönen coloriert und dabei die Farben bunt gemischt. Die Blätter auf den hinteren Ebenen habe ich einfach durch kleine Punkte in einem dunkleren Farbton gemacht. Die Baumstämme habe ich mit brauner Farbe über die Karte gemalt, für den Weg habe ich ein Grau-Braun verwendet.

Nun hatte ich anfangs nicht bedacht, dass man Watercolors ja nicht mit Watercolors komplett überdecken kann. Deswegen habe ich die gelben Blätter mit Acrylfarbe auf die Baumstämme getupft.

I'm sure you too have seen all those beautiful cards with a completly self-made background. I always look at these astonished and really wanted to try one myself.

Well, it looked a bit different in my head and I'm not sure if I'm going to do it more often or stick to good old stamping. But at least my card turned out beautifully golden-fallish.

I used watercolors to create the background of my card - also not really a medium I know lots about. I stamped the pile of leaves from the Pile of Fun stamp set by MFT twice to the lower left and right corner of my card, turning the stamp to keep a path in the middle. Then I used yellow, orange and red watercolors to color all the background in, mixing the colors for more different shades of each color. The leaves on the ground on the back hills are made by simply adding tiny dots of a bit darker shade of color. The tree trunks are drawn all across the grounds with a brown tone, for the path I used a grey-ish brown.

Well, I hadn't thought of the fact that you can't cover watercolors with watercolors completly. So for the yellow leaves on top of my trees I used some acrylic paint.

Natürlich brauchte meine Karte auch ein Motiv - auch die sind aus dem Pile of Fun Stempelset. Das Mädel habe ich dann nicht mit Watercolors, sondern mit Copics coloriert. Und weil der Look irgendwie nicht so ganz zu den Watercolors gepasst hat, habe ich noch einige Details mit Polychromos hinzugefügt. Ich habe mich an den Farben des Hintergrundes orientiert und dann mit dem blauen Mantel einen Farbklecks hineingebracht, damit das Mädel nicht komplett mit dem Hintergrund verschmilzt. 

Ich fand, zu den rotbraun colorierten Haaren würden ein paar Sommersprossen prima passen. Die habe ich dann mit einem Fineliner aufgetupft. Mit dem habe ich dann auch die Hundeleine per Hand dazugemalt. 

Of course my card needed an image - these are from the Pile of Fun stamp set also. I didn't use watercolors to color the girl and dog in and went with my Copics instead. But somehow the looks of the watercolors and the Copics didn't go together too well so I added some details with my Polychromos. I used colors matching the background and then used blues for the girl's jacket to not make her blend into the background.

I thought a few speckles would go great with the reddish-brown hair I colored, so I added these with a Fineliner. I used it also to add the leash between the girl and dog.

Ich wollte, dass die Sonnenstrahlen im Wald sichtbar sind. Also habe ich am Ende des Weges mit einem Blending Brush weiße Stempelfarbe aufgebracht und sie strahlenförmig verwischt. Außerdem habe ich ein paar kleine Bokeh-Dots aufgemalt. Kennt Ihr das, wenn auf Fotos Lichtpunkte zu sehen sind? Das wollte ich auf meiner Karte auch haben.

Jetzt fehlte nur noch ein Text. Den wollte ich nicht als zweite Ebene auf meine Szene kleben. Darum habe ich den Text aus dem Stempelset Autumn Blessings einfach mit schwarzer Stempeltinte direkt oben in die Bäume gestempelt. 

I wanted some sunrays be visible on my card. So I used a Blending Brush and some white ink to draw the light source at the end of the path and blended it out in rays. I also added a few bokeh dots. Do you know those photos where there are little dots of lights visible? That's what I tried to picture here.

Now all my card was missing was a text. I didn't want to glue a strip with it across my card, so I simply used black ink and stamped the text from the Autumn Blessings stamp set directly onto my card.

Eine Box zur Geburt

Ich wurde gebeten, eine Explosionbox zur Geburt des kleinen Vinz zu machen - und dem komme ich doch gerne nach!

I was asked to make an explosion box to welcome little Vinz - and of course I couldn't say no!

 

 Die Box ist - ganz jungs-typisch - in Blautönen gehalten. Und sie ist ein wenig der Box, die ich zur Geburt meines Enkels gemacht habe, ähnlich. Einfach, weil die Vorgaben einfach zu gut dazu gepasst haben. Aber ich habe doch einige Unterschiede eingebaut.

Typically boy I used different tones of blues. And the box is kind of similar to the one I made for the birth of my first grandchild. Simply because they asked for so many things I had included back then. But I still kept it different in several ways.

Das Unterteil der Box ist aus hellblauem Cardstock gewerkelt. Ich habe die Seitenteile mit weißem Cardstock gemattet, darauf kam dunkelblaues Designpapier mit kleinen hellblauen Pünktchen. Aus der Mitte des Designpapieres habe ich jeweils einen Kreis ausgestanzt, durch den man den weißen Cardstock darunter sehen kann. In den Kreis habe ich jeweils einen aus hellblauem Cardstock gestanzten Kinderwagen von Alexandra Renke geklebt, das Herz im Kinderwagen habe ich dunkelblau hinterlegt.

Den Deckel der Box habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gemacht, um den Rand habe ich ein dünnes Organzaband in hellblau gewickelt und vorne zur Schleife gebunden.

The bottom box is made from light blue cardstock. I matted the sides with white cardstock, then glued some dark blue patterned paper with tiny light blue dots on top. From the center of these pieces of patterend paper I've die cut a circle through which you can see the white matting. Into those circles I glued a stroller, die cut from light blue cardstock. Behind the heart that's die cut from the stroller I put some dark blue cardstock.

The lid is made from white cardstock. I wrapped a piece of thin organdy ribbon around it and tied it to a bow.

Den weißen Deckel habe ich dunkelblau gemattet, darauf kam ein Stück hellblauen Cardstocks. Den habe ich mit der Sunburst Stanze von AveryElle ausgestanzt, die auch gleich die Strahlen in den Cardstock stanzt. 

In die Mitte des hellblauen Cardstocks habe ich eine Rosette aus dunkelblauem Cardstock geklebt. 

Auf der Rosette habe ich erst einen weiß gematteten Kreis aus hellblau-weiß gestreiftem Designpapier geklebt, darauf kam die Deko.

Das Wort Willkommen ist von SU, das Banner darunter, das ich dunkelblau gemattet habe, ist per Hand geschnitten und an die Rundung des Wortes angepasst.

Die süßen Motive sind von LawnFawn. Der Storch, der passend ein hellblaues Bündel im Schnabel trägt, ist aus dem Set Plus One, die Babykleidung aus dem Set Little Bundle. Alle Motive sind mit Copics coloriert. Die Kleidung habe ich am unteren Rand des Banners "aufgehängt" und anschließend die Wäscheklammern aus dem Little Bundle Set überlappend aufgestempelt.

I matted the white lid with dark blue cardstock, then glued a piece of light blue cardstock on top. I've die cut that with the Sunburst die by AveryElle, that also cuts the rays into the paper.

In the middle of the light blue cardstock I've put a paper rosette, made from dark blue cardstock. 

On top of the rosette I glued a circle from blue and white striped patterned paper that I had matted white, then glued the images on top.

The word in the banner means welcome and is made with a stamp by SU. The dark blue matted banner is hand cut, trying to match it the curve of the word.

The cute images are by LawnFawn. The stork, that's delivering a light blue bundle, is from the set Plus One, the clothes are from the set Little Bundle. I colored all images with Copics, then hung the clothes up on the edge of the banner. After glueing them down the clothes I stamped the clothes pins overlapping both the clothes and the banner on top.

 

 

 

Und so sieht die Box geöffnet aus.

And this is the opened box.

Beim Öffnen bleibt eine Wand als Kinderzimmerwand stehen. Die habe ich mit den beiden Designpapieren, die ich auch schon auf dem Deckel der Box verwendet habe, tapeziert und zwischen die beiden Lagen einen Streifen hellblauen Cardstocks geklebt.

An der Wand habe ich ein Banner aus kleinen Dreiecken aufgehängt.

In der Mitte der Box befindet sich ein Podest, an dessen Rückseite die stehende Wand angeklebt ist, so dass sie nicht mit aufklappt. Das Podest habe ich mit Holzmuster bestempelt, damit es wie ein Fußboden aussieht.

When the lid is taken off one side, that creates a kid's room wall, keeps up. I covered it with the two patterned papers that I also used on the lid and glued  a thin strip of light blue cardstock between the two designs. 

On the wall I've hung up a  little banner.

In the middle of the box there's a podest, to the back side of it I've attached the wall to keep it up. I stamped a wood pattern onto this podest to make it look like a wooden floor.

In die Mitte des Fußbodens habe ich einen sechseckigen Teppich gesetzt. Dafür habe ich die Hexagon Thin  Frames von HoneybeeStamps aus hellblauem und dunkelblauem Cardstock gestanzt und jeweils abwechselnd aufgeklebt. 

Darauf steht eine Babywiege aus weißem Cardstock, für die ich mir mal eine Schneiddatei für die Cameo gemacht habe. Im Bett liegt hellblaue Bettwäsche mit kleinen Sternchen, auf dem Kopfkissen sitzt ein Teddybär.

An einem Stück festem Draht habe ich Tüll als Betthimmel befestigt. Und am Fußteil der Wiege hängt eine kleine Babyjacke. Dafür habe ich von einem Strampler von SU einfach die Füße weggeschnitten.

Vor dem Bett habe ich ein paar Bauklötze aufgetürmt, die ich mit einer absoluten Mini-Box Stanze von Gummiapan gestanzt habe. Das Falten und Zusammenkleben ist eine Herausforderung!

An der Kinderzimmerwand an der Rückseite habe ich noch ein wenig Spielzeug aufgestellt.

In the middle of the wooden floor I layed down a hexagon shaped rug. I've die cut the Hexagon Thin Frames by HoneybeeStamps from dark and light blue cardstock and then glued them down changing colors.

On top I placed a white baby crib, for which I made myself a cutting file for my Cameo some time ago. In the crib I've put a light blue blanket and cusion with white stars, a little teddy is sitting on top of the cusion.

I used a piece of thick wire to attach the tulle over the crib. On the end piece I've hung up a little jacket. I used a bodysuit image by SU and cut off the legs.

I stacked some building blocks next to the crib, made using a really tiny box die by Gummiapan. Folding and glueing these things together is a challenge!

In front of the back wall I placed some toys.

Auf den seitlichen Teilen der Box habe ich den Namen des Kindes samt Herkunftserklärung sowie die Geburtsdaten des Kindes wie Größe, Gewicht etc. aufgeklebt. 

Auch diese Seiten sind mit Spielzeug dekoriert. Alle Spielzeuge auf der Box sind aus den Sets Holiday Helpers von LawnFawn sowie den Sets Snow Globe Bitties und Little Elf Agenda von MamaElephant. Die Texte auf den Seitenteilen sind zum Teil am PC geschrieben und ausgedruckt, zum Teil mit den Captions Stanzen von MFT bzw. dem Handletter Alphabet von CraftEmotions gestanzt. Das "hurra ein Junge" ist wieder von SU.

On the sides of the box I attached cardstock pieces with the name of the baby and the birth dates like size, weight etc.

Also those areas are decorated with toys. All the toy images on the box are from the stamp sets Holiday Helpers by LawnFawn and the Snow Globe Bitties and Little Elf Agenda by MamaElephant. 

The texts on these are partially written on my computer and printed out or die cut with either the Captions dies by MFT or the Handletter Alphabet by CraftEmotions. 

Zum Schluss war noch ein Fach für einen Gutschein gewünscht. Dort habe ich auch noch ein kleines Kärtchen für persönliche Grüße mit eingeschoben.

Dekoriert habe ich dieses Fach mit einem Text von SU, den ich weiß auf ein dunkelblaues Banner embosst und hellblau gemattet habe.

In the end I was also asked to include an area to put a gift card in. I also added a little card for a personal messagt here.

I decorated the envelope with a light blue matted dark blue banner onto which I white heat embossed the text "congrats to your baby". 

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 4. September 2021

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Mit einer Sechseckbox meldet sich das Stempeleinmaleins aus der Sommerpause zurück. Und ja, bei mir naht Halloween... Die Box erschien mir einfach perfekt für die Brause-Mumie, die ich noch hier hatte. ;)

Stempeleinmaleins is back from its summer break with this hexagon box. And yes, I've decorated mine with a Halloween theme... This box just seemed to be perfect for this little mummy I had left. ;)

Meine Box ist aus orange-gelbem Cardstock gewerkelt, die einzelnen Seiten sind mit schwarzem Cardstock beklebt. Dabei habe ich die Cardstockstücke, die auf die Längsseiten der Box geklebt sind, vor dem Aufkleben mit dem Intertwine 3D Embossingfolder von Sizzix geprägt und anschließend ein paar gold-orangene Schimmer-Sprenkel darauf verteilt.

I've made my box from an orangey yellow cardstock, the sides are matted with black cardstock. The black cardstock pieces, that are glued to the long sides of the box, are dry embossed with the 3D Intertwine embossing folder by Sizzix, then I spritzed some golden shimmer watercolor over them.

Hier kann man das tolle geprägte Muster noch ein wenig besser erkennen. Das passt einfach perfekt zu einer Mumie, finde ich. 

Die Klappe, die als Verschluss für die Box dient, habe ich genauso hoch wie die restlichen Seiten geschnitten, da mir hier eine sichtbare Klappe nicht gefallen hat. Dafür habe ich einen Kreis aus dem orangenen Cardstock mit aufgeklebt,  so dass man sieht, dass die Box hier geöffnet werden kann. Ein Magnet hält die Box geschlossen.

Über die linken Seiten aller langen Boxteile habe ich noch jeweils ein Stückchen orange-schwarz gestreiftes Designpapier geklebt.

Here you can see the embossed pattern even better. I think this is perfect to go with a mummy.

The flap that closes the box is cut the exact same height as the other sides of the box - I just didn't want to have a visible flap here. I added a circle, cut from the orange cardstock, betweeen the box and the black cardstock so it's clear that the box can be opened here. A magnet holds it closed.

On all the black carstock pieces I added a piece of orange and black patterned paper.

Die Deko für die Box habe ich auf die Seite geklebt, die bei geschlossener Box oben liegt. Hier habe ich etwas Cheesecloth auf das Stück Designpapier geklebt und außerdem ein Stück orange-weiß gestreiftes Twine um den schwarzen Cardstock gewickelt. Das habe ich dann neben dem Cheesecloth zu einer Schleife gebunden.

Der süße Geist ist aus dem Stempelset Booyah von LawnFawn. Ich habe ihn weiß auf ein Stück Vellum embosst und ausgeschnitten. Die Gesichter in diesem Set sind einzelne Stempel, was ich super findet. So hatte ich einen "nackten" Geist und konnte die Backen, Augen und Mund mit einem schwarzen bzw. pinkfarbenen Glaze Pen von Sakura auf den Geist abpausen. Die Süßigkeitentüten ist ein extra Stempel aus dem selben Stempelset. Die ist ganz normal auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, mit Copics coloriert und dann dem Geist um den Arm gelegt. Ich finde es toll, wie das Designpapier und Cheesecloth ganz leicht durch den Geist hindurch zu sehen sind, so, als wäre er ein wenig durchsichtig.

Auch die Texte sind aus dem Set Booyah. Ich habe sie mit schwarzer Tinte auf weißen bzw. orangefarbenen Cardstock gestempelt und unter das Motiv geschoben auf die Box geklebt.

I glued the decorations on the side of the box, that is on top when the box is close. Here I glued down a piece of cheesecloth onto the piece of patterned paper and also wrapped some orange and white twine around the black cardstock. Next to the cheesecloth I tied it to a bow.

The cute ghost is from the Booyah stamp set by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed it onto a piece of Vellum and cut it out. The faces in this set are individual stamps, I think that's great because I had a "plain" ghost. That made it easy to add the cheeks and face to the ghost by tracing the images with a black and pink glaze pen by Sakura. The candy bag is an extra stamp from this set. I stamped it onto white cardstock, colored it with Copics and then hung it over the ghost's arm. I love how you can lightly see the patterened paper and the cheesecloth through the ghost, just as if he'd be a tad bit transparent.

Also the texts are from the Booyah stamp set. I stamped them onto white and orange cardstock with blac ink and then glued the cardstock strips onto the box, hiding the beginning of the strips under the image.

Und so sieht meine geöffnete und gefüllte Box aus. Ich habe sie dick mit schwarzen Papiershreddern ausgepolstert und dann die Mumie hineingelegt. So wirkt die Box ein wenig wie ein Sarg oder Sarkophag.

And this is my box opened and filled. I put a thick layer of these shredded paper strips inside, then placed the mummy on top. It kind of looks like a coffin or sarcophagus.

Auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige ich heute eine weitere Karte mit Stanzen - und einem Stempel - von LawnFawn. Es gab im letzten Release ja auch zwei Stanzen, die ein fertigs Motiv stanzen. Ich war mir da nicht sicher, hab der Delightful Daisy Stanze aber eine Chance gegeben - und ich finde, sie macht als Motiv auf einer Karte doch einiges her.

Over at the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing another card with dies - and a stamp - by LawnFawn. In their last release there were two dies that create finished images. I wasn't sure about those but decided to give the Delightful Daisy a chance - and I think, it looks pretty good as the main image on a card.

Auf dieser Karte habe ich eine Technik probiert, über die ich bei den Splitcoaststampers gestolpert bin: die "floating stripes" Technik. Die Streifen unter meinem Motiv sind erst auf Folie geklebt, die dann mit 3D Tape auf die Karte geklebt werden. So sieht es so aus, als würden sie über der Karte schweben. Im Nachhinein denke ich mir, man hätte sie auch ohne Folie direkt mit 3D Tape auf die Karte kleben können, aber so spart man zumindest etwas Tape. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstock mit dem Leaf Veins 3D Embossingfolder von Sizzix embosst und dann ein paar bronzefarbene Spritzer Metallik-Wasserfarbe darüber verteilt.

Den Hintergrund habe ich schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

On this card I've tried a technique that I came across over at Splitcoaststampers: the "floating stripes" technique. The paper strips under the image are glued onto some acetate first, then glued onto the card with foam tape. Now it looks like they are floating above the card. Well, I am not sure why you wouldn't just glue them directly onto the card with foam tape besides saving on foam tape.

For the background I run a piece of white cardstock through my Big Shot with the Leaf Veins 3D embossing folder by Sizzix, then splattered some bronze metallic watercolor onto it.

I matted the background with black cardstock and glued it onto a white note card.

Die Blume habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, dann die inneren Teile nochmal aus jeweils passenden Cardstockfarben. Mit Copics habe ich die Teile ein wenig schattiert. 

Die Blütenblätter des Gänseblümchens habe ich 3D aufgebaut - die kleinsten nur einfach, die anderen dann doppelt bzw. dreifach und das Blütenblatt in der Mitte sogar vierfach. Ich habe sie jeweils nur oben aufgeklebt und die unteren Enden ein wenig nach oben gebogen. So bekomt die Blüte einen tollen dreidimensionalen Look. Dann habe ich die Blume ebenfalls mit 3D Tape auf den Streifenhintergrund geklebt.

Für den Text habe ich das "sending" aus dem Stempelset Virtual Friends Add-On mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und auf die Karte geklebt.

Das Hugs habe ich mit der Giant Sending Big Hugs Stanze aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und nur das Hugs draus ausgeschnitten/verwendet. Die Highlights habe ich mit einem weißen Gelpen hinzugefügt. 

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar orangefarbene Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt. 

I've die cut the flower from black cardstock and then inner pieces again from colors matching the part of the image. I used Copics to add some shading to them.

The petals are glued down as you would a 3D image - the smallest just once, the others twice or three times and the one in the center even four times. I only glued them down close to the center of the flower and bended the tip of the petals upwards. This way the daisy gets some beautiful dimension. Then I glued the flower onto the stripes background, again using foam tape.

For the text I white heat embossed the word sending from the Virtual Friends Add-On stamp set onto a strip of black cardstock and glued it onto the card.

The hugs is die cut with the Giant Sending Big Hugs die. I cut off the rest of the text and only used the word hugs. The highlights are added with a white gel pen.

In the end I added a few orange Enamel Dots to my card.
