Eine Explosionbox zur Geburt

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Meine Mädels brauchten eine Explosionbox zur Geburt eines kleinen Jungen. Die habe ich natürlich gerne gemacht!

My girls asked me for an explosionbox as a gift to a little newborn boy. Of course I've granted their wish!

Die Box ist aus weißem Cardstock gewerkelt, mit türkisblauem Cardstock und dann mit Designpapier mit Babykleidung auf Wäscheleinen beklebt.

The box itself was cut from white cardstock. Then I've added some turquoiseish blue cardstock and designer's paper with cloth lines full ob baby clothes.

Um den Deckel habe ich blaues Organzaband gewickelt und vorne einen Babyflaschencharm, einen Teddybärcharm und einen Schnullercharm jeweils an einer Kette daran befestigt. Oben habe ich noch etwas Tüll und gelbes Twine mit eingerbeitet.

Around the lid I've put some blue organdy ribbon and added a baby bottle charm, a teddybear charm and a pacifier charm, each put onto a piece of chain, to the front corner. At the top I've also included some tulle and yellow twine.

Als Deko auf dem Deckel habe ich eine Wäscheleine zwischen zwei Strohhalmen gespannt, dahinter befindet sich ein gelber Stern. 

Außerdem sind hier ein Schaukelpferd, Babyschuhe sowie ein paar Bauklötze zu finden.

To decorate the top I've hung up some cloth line between two pieces of a paper straw and put a star behind it.

There's also a rocking horse, some baby shoes and a few buiding blocks.

Das alles habe ich dann auf ein Doily geklebt und hier auch noch ein aus gelbem Cardstock ausgestanztes Hello und ein Baby sowie ein hellblaues Fähnchen, auf das ich sweet weiß embosst habe, aufgebracht. Die gelben Worte sind mit Glitzer überzogen.

Then I've glued everything on top of a doily and also added a hello and baby, both cut from yellow cardstock, and a light blue banner onto which I've white heat embossed the word sweet. The yellow die cut words are covered with some glitter.

Im mittleren Teil habe ich ein Babyzimmer dargestellt. Die Wände sind mit Designpapier, Cardstock sowie einer weißen Bordüre tapeziert. Da die Wände trotzdem irgendwie kahl aussahen, ich aber nicht noch mehr Deko anbringen wollte, habe ich hier einfach ein Hello, Little One und ein Welcome to the World mit grauer Tinte auf den oberen Teil der Wand gestempelt.

Als Teppich liegt ein weiteres Doily im Zimmer, darauf steht ein Babybettchen. Natürlich mit Betthimmel und Mobile.

In the middle area I've created a baby's room. The walls are "papered" with some cardstock, some designer's paper and a white border. They still looked a bit plain but I didn't want to add more images so I've simply stamped a Hello, Little One and a Welcome to the World onto the upper parts of the walls, using grey ink.

I've used another doily as a carpet and put a baby crib onto it. Of course it needed some proper decorations like a canopy and a crib mobile.

Seitlich am Bettchen hängt noch ein Strampler an einem Kleiderbügelcharm. Den Betthimmel habe ich aus Spitzenstoff geschnitten und an einem Gestell aus Papier-Strohhalmen, zusammengesetzt mit Heißkleber, befestigt.

On the side of the crib I've hung a playsuit on a hanger charm. The canopy was cut from lace and attached to a construction made of two paper straws, put together with hot glue.

In einem der aufklappenden Seitenteile befindet sich ein Kärtchen. Das Kuvert habe ich mit einer ausgestanzten und ein wenig colorierten Babyflasche sowie ein paar gelben Enamel Accents dekoriert.

There's a pocked on one of the opening sides. I've decorated this side with a die cut and lightly colored baby bottle and a few yellow Enamel Accents.

Auf der anderen Seite habe ich zwei gestempelte Babyfüße mit einem passenden Text auf einem Banner sowie Cheesecloth, einen weiteren Stern, einen Herzhintergrund und mehr gelbe Enamel Accents aufgeklebt.

To the other side I've glued two stamped baby feet with a matching saying on a banner and also some cheesecloth, another star, a hearts background and more yellow Ename Accents.

Eine einfache Karte mit Cupcake

Heute darf ich wieder auf dem Stampcorner-Blog posten. Und entstanden ist diese eher einfache Geburtstagskarte. Aber der leckere Muffin sollte auf jeden Fall im Focus stehen.

Today it's my turn again to post over at the Stampcorner Blog. So I've made this quite simple birthday card. But I wanted the muffin be the focal point.

Ich habe den Hintergrund aus einem Stück rotem und einem Stück weißen Cardstock zusammengesetzt. 

Auf den weißen Cardstock habe ich rote Konfetti aus dem Year 7 Stempelset von LawnFawn gestempelt, von der untere Mitte aus habe ich mit der Sunrise Radiating Rays Schablone von MFT und Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade die Strahlen aufgewischt. Ich musste die Schablone dafür schräg auf meinen Cardstock legen, da ich aber keine komplette Karte damit einfärben musste, war das kein Problem.

Auf den roten Cardstock habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte verteilt einen der Texte aus dem Stempelset Wir Gratulieren verteilt. 

Den Hintergrund habe ich dann mit hellblauem Cardstock gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.

I've created the background by putting together a piece of red and a piece of white cardstock.

Onto the white cardstock I've stamped some confetti from the Year 7 stamp set by LawnFawn, colored them red and then added some sunrays using the Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil by MFT and Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade. To add the rays the way I did it I had to turn the stencil about 45 degrees but since I didn't have to cover a whole card that wasn't a problem.

Onto the red cardstock I've stamped hip hip hooray several times using black ink.

Then I've matted the background with some light blue cardstock and glued it onto a white card base.

Der Muffin ist aus der Manufaktur-Reihe von Stampcorner. Ich habe ihn mit Polychromos coloriert, ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Tape auf einen schwarz gematteten Kreis aus hellblauem Cardstock geklebt. 

Unter den Muffin habe ich ein schwarzes Banner gesetzt, auf das ich weiß einen weiteren Geburtstagstext aufembosst habe.

The muffin is from the manufacturer stamp series by Stampcorner. I've colored it in with Polychromos, cut it out and then used dimensionals to glue it onto a black matted circle cut from light blue cardstock. 

Under the muffin I've placed a black banner onto which I've white heat embossed a birthday greeting.

MFT Sketch Challenge #450

It's wednesday (afternoon my time) - and so the new sketch challenge#450 starts over at the MFT Blog. For those sketch challenges I am a guest to join the DT for the month of august. And also this week's sketch is so inspiring:

Die Idee zu meiner Karte kam mir ganz spontan:

The idea for my card just popped up when I looked at the sketch:

Für meine Karte habe ich die tollen Stempelsets Call the Shots und Bedside Manner verwendet. Und ich habe damit auch mein eigenes "Designpapier" gemacht. Dafür habe ich die Spritze, Pillen und Medikamentenflasche aus den Sets verteilt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt und dazwischen ein paar kleine Herzen aus dem Set Carousel Horses gesetzt. Die füllten die kleinen Lücken perfekt. Da das Papier nicht die Hauptaufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen sollte, habe ich hier die Motive nur ganz leicht und rudimentär mit Polychromos coloriert. Dann habe ich den weißen Cardstock türkisfarben gemattet und auf eine weiße Klappkarte geklebt.

For my card I've used the great new stamp sets Call the Shots and Bedside Manner. And I've also used those to create my own "designer's paper". I've simply stamped the sringe, pills and medicine bottle from the sets all over my white cardstock and put a few small hearts from the Carousel Horses stamp set in between. These were perfect to fill in the gaps. Since I didn't want this paper to be the main attraction I just did some rudimentary and soft coloring using Polychromos. Then I've matted the white cardstock with some turquoise cardstock and glued it onto a white card base.

Für den Tag im Sketch habe ich den Tag aus dem Tag Builder Blueprints #7 Stanzenset aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und schwarz gemattet (die Mattung ist mit der Hand geschnitten). Mit dem Tiny Hearts Background und klarem Embossingpulver habe ich die Herzen auf den Tag aufembosst und dann Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade benutzt, um den weißen Cardstock orange einzufärben. Dabei habe ich die Farbe so aufgetragen, dass sie zum oberen Ende des Tags hin heller wird. Durch die klar embossten Herzen kann man immer noch den weißen Cardstock erkennen. 

For the tag drawn in the sketch I've used the Tag Builder Blueprints #7 Die-Namics. I've cut it from white cardstock and matted it black (the matting was handcut). Using the Tiny Hearts Background and clear embossing powder I've heat embossed the hearts onto the tag and then covered the cardstock with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade. I've applied the ink from the bottom, adding less on my way to the top to get a slight ombre look. Through the clear embossing powder you can still see the white cardstock.

Und hier ist die süße Krankenschwester. Die ist nicht nur toll für Gute-Besserungs-Karten, sondern auch super für Dankeskarten an Ärzte und ihre Teams. 

Ich habe hier mit No-Line Coloring gearbeitet und dafür das Motiv mit Tickled Pink Premium Dye Ink gestempelt. Da ich nicht mit Copics sondern mit Polychromos coloriert habe, ist diese Tinte perfekt. Die weißen Highlights habe ich mit einem Gelmarker gemacht. Und weil Krankenschwestern und Co ja schon länger nicht mehr nur in weiß gekleidet sind, habe ich ihr ein türkisfarbenes Oberteil angezogen. 

Den Text habe ich wieder weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und auf die Karte geklebt. Dabei habe ich im Vergleich zum Sketch die Position des Textes ein klein wenig verschoben, da er hier einfach besser passte. 

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar türkisfarbene Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt.

And this is the cute nurse. She's not only great for get well cards but also for thank you notes to doctors and their teams.

I've done some no-line coloring here and used Tickled Pink Premium Dye Ink to stamp the image. Since I didn't use my Copics here but worked with Polychromos instead this ink was the perfect choice. The highlights were made using a white gelly marker. And since nurses etc don't wear white only since quite some time - at least here in Germany - I've given her a turquoise shirt.

The saying is again white heat embossed onto black cardstock and glued onto the card. Here in comparison to the sketch I've changed the position a bit just because it looked better there.

In the end I've added a  few turquoise Enamel Dots.

Heute startet die neue Produktwoche bei Stamping-Fairies, diesmal stehen die Nuvo Mica Mists im Mittelpunkt. Diese Karte hier, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige, ist mein erster Versuch damit, aber ich finde den Effekt klasse.

Today we are starting the new product spotlight week over at Stamping-Fairies. And for this months we've decided to showcase the Nuvo Mica Mists. This card, that I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today, was my first attempt at them and I just love the effect.

Vorweg gleich ein Hinweis: deckt Euren Arbeitsbereich wirklich großflächig ab, wenn Ihr mit den Sprays arbeitet. Ein DinA4-Blatt für eine Nicht-Ganz-A6-Karte reicht definitiv nicht. Und das Zeug lässt sich wirklich schwer bis gar nicht wieder abwaschen. Fragt mein Handy, es glitzert jetzt schön dunkelblau... ;) Handschuhe wären auch empfehlenswert, wobei es von den Händen nach mehrmaligem gründlichem Händewaschen doch fast komplett wieder abgeht.

Die Deckkraft der Farben ist fantastatisch, was man besonders bei dunklem Cardstock sieht. Ich habe hier dunkelblauen Cardstock benutzt und zuerst ein klein wenig des Nebula Blue Sprays aufgetragen. Dann habe ich eine Schablone aufgelegt und mehr des Blaus darübergesprüht. Die eingefärbte Schablone habe ich dann noch auf dem oberen Teil der Karte abgedrückt. Um die grüne Fresh Pear Farbe aufzutragen, habe ich etwas Noppenfolie mit der grünen Farbe besprüht und auf mein Papier abgedrückt. So sind die grünen "Blasen" entstanden.

Stempeln kann man auf die Farbe, zumindst mit Memento, nicht. Andere Kissen habe ich noch nicht versucht. Ich habe versucht, ein paar kleine Fische aufzustempeln, die aber nur dort zu sehen sind, wo sich kein Spray auf dem Cardstock befindet. Aber auf dem dunkelblauen Cardstock sieht man sie eh nicht so toll. 

At first a tipp: really cover all your workspace well when working with these sprays. A A4 sheet of paper definately isn't enough for a not-quite-A6 card. And this color is hard to get off of anything. My cellphone can tell you something about it: it now has a nice blue shimmer... ;) Wearing gloves woudln't hurt either, but the color is nearly gone after washing your hands with soap and water a few times.

The brightness of the colors is amazing and you can see that especially on a dark background. I've used some dark blue cardstock here and first sprayed a bit of the Nebula Blue on it. Then I've put a stencil over my cardstock and added more of the blue spray. I've also used the color on the stencil and put it on the upper part of my cardstock. To add the green Fresh Pear spray I've sprayed some of it onto a piece of bubble wrap and then layed it colored side down on my cardstock. That's how the green bubbles were made.

You can't stamp onto the spray, at least not using Memento. I haven't tried any other ink yet. I've tried to stamp a few small fish on my card but you can only see them where there isn't any of the spray. With the dark blue cardstock you can't really see them at all.

Um meine Karte zu dekorieren, habe ich eine der Stanzen aus dem Blueprint 33 Set aus Vellum gestanzt und auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Darunter habe ich etwas kupferfarbenes Metallikgarn gelegt.

Der süße Delfin ist aus dem Stempelset Friends with Fins. Es ist mit dem Ink on 3 No Lines Stempelkissen gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. 

Die Koralle und Wasserpflanzen habe ich mit den Under the Sea Stanzen von MFT gemacht. Gestanzt sind sie aus weißem Cardstock, den ich vorher ebenfalls mit den Nuvo Mica Sprays eingefärbt habe. Seht Ihr, wie anders das blau dort wirkt? Aus dem Stanzenset sind auch die Blasen, die ich aus dem Hintergrund gestanzt habe und durch die man den weißen Cardstock, den ich zum Matten verwendet habe, sehen kann.

Auf meinem Tisch lag noch die Hello Stanze, und da meine Karte auch einen Text brauchte, habe ich den gleich verwendet. Er ist einmal ebenfalls aus mit Fresh Pear bespritztem weißem Carstock und einmal aus purem weißem Cardstock gestanzt, leicht versetzt übereinandergelegt und aufgeklebt. Davor kam noch eine Wellenbordüre, die ich mit der Stanze aus dem Wiper Card Components Stanzenset gemacht habe.

Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar klare Nuvo Glitter Drops auf die Karte.

To decorate my card I've die cut one of the dies from the Blueprints 33 die set from Vellum and glued it onto the background. Underneath I've put some copper metallic thread.

The cute dolphin is from the Friends with Fins stamp set. He's been stamped with the Ink on 3 No Line stamp pad and then colored in with Copics.

The coral and the water plants are cut using the Under the Sea die set by MFT. They were cut from white cardstock which I've also covered with the Nuvo Mica Sprays. Can you see the difference in the blue color on the different backgrounds? From the same die set are also the bubbles that I've cut from my finished background and through which you can see the white cardstock I've used to mat my card.

I still had the Hello die on my table. And since my card needed a text I've used it. It's been cut from another piece of white cardstock, covered with the Fresh Pear spray, and once from white cardstock. Then I've glued those slightly off on top of each other  and glued it onto my card. In front of it I've added a wave border, cut using one of the dies from the Wiper Card Components die set.

In the end I've added some clear Nuvo Glitter Drops to my card.

Runder Geburtstag die Erste

Ein runder Geburtstag stand an - der Name des Geburtstagskindes sollte auf die Karte und er arbeitet gerne mit Holz. Hm, da hatte ich ja mal gar nix da. Und googelt mal nach Schreiner-Motiven! Aber dann fiel mir die Pinocchio-Reihe von Impronte d'Autore ein und siehe da, Meister Gepetto war perfekt!

There was a milestone coming - the name needed to be included and the one celebrating loves to work with wood. Well, that's something I really didn't have a stamp for. And try googling for carpenter stamps... But then the Pinocchio series by Impronte d'Autore came to my mind and Master Gepetto was just perfect!

Ich wollte das Thema Holz ganz groß aufgreifen. Also habe ich einen Rahmen mit einer Magnolia-Stanze gemacht und ihn auf braune Wellpappe geklebt. Also Deko kam ein gezackter Kreis aus Holzmuster-Papier sowie etwas Werkzeug auf die Karte. Oben links in die Ecke habe ich ein Holzschild mit einem mit dem Dymo gemachten Happy darauf "angeschraubt" (die Schrauben sind aus einem der Mini-Sets von MarianneDesign). Oben rechts habe ich eine Partygirlande aufgehängt, damit etwas Geburtstagsfeeling aufkommt.

I really wanted to pick up the wood theme. So I've die cut a frame using a Magnolia die and glued it onto brown corrugated cardstock. For decorations I've added a spiky circle cut from designer's paper with a wood pattern and some tools. To the top left corner I've added a wooden sign with a Happy made with my Dymo glued onto, "screwing" the sign down with some tiny screws made using a die set by MarianneDesign). To the top right I've added a banner for a touch of a birthday feeling.

Das Motiv habe ich links auf ein Stück Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Daneben habe ich versucht, eine 60, die gerade aus einem Holzblock geschnitzt wird, per Hand dazu zu malen. 

Das Motiv habe ich schwarz gemattet und etwas Cheesecloth darunter gelegt.

Ober- und unterhalb des Motivs habe ich die Worte Birthday und Gerhard aufgeklebt. Die habe ich mit dem Wedding Alphabet von X-Cut aus einem anderen Designpapier mit Holzdruck gestanzt und mit kleinen schwarzen Punkten versehen, so als wären sie angenagelt.

I've stamped the image on the left side of some white cardstock and colored it with Copics. Next to it I've tried to hand draw a 60 that the carpenter is just carving out of a block of wood.

I've matted the image black and put some cheesecloth underneath.

Above and under the image I've glued the words Birthday and Gerhard. Those are individual letters, cut from a different designer's paper with a wood print and using the Wedding Alphabet die set by X-Cut. Then I've added some tiny black dots so it looks like they were nailed down.

Eine Karte mit den Regenschirmen von SF Stamps habe ich noch für Euch. Und ich habe ja bereits mit der letzten bewiesen, dass man mit dem neuen Release nicht nur interaktive Karten machen kann. Und so ist auch diese eine eher einfach "one layer card".

I have one last card with the umbrellas by SF Stamps. And with my last card I've already proven that you can't only make interactive cards with this new release. And so this is a pretty simplye one layer card.

Ich habe hier mit Distres Oxide Peacock Feathers und einer Schablone Regentropfen auf weißen Cardstock gewischt. In den unteren zwei Dritteln habe ich die Mitte freigelassen, so dass der Regenschirm seinen Job machen kann. In den oberen Bereich kamen zwei dunkelgraue Wolken.

Unten auf die Karte habe ich ein Danke aus dem Mitten ins Herz Stempelset geklebt. Es ist türkis auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, mit orangefarbenem Designpapier hinterlegt und aufgeklebt. Quer darüber habe ich noch etwas orangefarbenes Twine gewickelt und zur Schleife gebunden. Und zwei orangefarbene Enamel Accents haben auch noch Platz gefunden.

Here I've used a stencil and Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers to add raindrops to a piece of white cardstock. In the lower two thirds I've kept the middle white so the umbrella can do its job. To the upper area I've added some dark grey clouds.

To the bottom of the card I've glued a stamped "thank you". I've used turquoise ink to stamp it onto white cardstock, then matted it with some orange designer's paper and tied some orange twine around the bottom, tied to a bow. There was also room for two orange Enamel Accents.

Den Regenschirm habe ich aufgestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Für die Außenseite habe ich ihn nochmal auf orangefarbenes Designpapier mit weißen Punkten gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und mittels Paper Piecing und 3D Pads aufgeklebt. So erhält die Karte zumindest etwas Dimension.

I've stamped the umbrella directly onto my cardstock and colored it in with Copics. For the outside I've stamped the umbrella again onto orange designer's paper with white dots, cut it out and did some paper piecing, glueing the top down with dimensionals. That adds at least a tad bit of dimension to the card.

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner-Blog eine Karte für eine gute Freundin.

Today over at Stampcorner Blog I am sharing this card made for a good friend.

Sie sieht auf den ersten Blick recht einfach aus - und so, als ob ein Papierboot auf einer schwarzen Pfütze schwimmen würde. Aber das stimmt so nicht ganz.

It looks pretty simple at first look. And a bit like a paper boat is floating on a black puddle. But that's not all there is.

Vielleicht habt Ihr auf dem ersten Bild den Tab am unteren Ende der Karte entdeckt. Zieht man daran, sieht man, dass unter dem Papierboot noch ein Wurm aus dem Stempelset Watt'n Wurm steckt! Und der kommt nun aus seinem Loch heraus.

Maybe you've spotted the tab at the bottom of the card. If you pull  it you'll see that there's a worm under the paper boat. And he's now making its appearance.

Und da ist!

Ich habe ein Stück leicht gemustertes Designpapier schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße Grundkarte geklebt. Etwa über die Hälfte kam nochmal ein Stück brauner Cardstock, unter dem sich Wurm und der Ziehmechanismus verstecken. Für das Loch habe ich einfach ein schmales schwarzes Oval auf die Karte geklebt und die Hälfte des Ovals auch noch aus dem braunen Cardstock gestanzt. 

Das hello ist aus dem selben Designpapier wie der Hintergrund gestanzt und schwarz hinterlegt. Darüber kam ein Banner aus Vellum, auf das ich den tollen Text gestempelt habe. Der passt so toll zum auftauchenden Wurm, finde ich. 

Also Deko habe ich ein paar pinkfarbene Enamel Accents aufgeklebt sowie in den oberen Bereich der Karte zwei Wolken. Deren Outlines sind aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, innen sind sie mit Vellum gefüllt. Wenn man genau hinschaut, sieht man es. 

And here it is!

I've matted some slightly patterend paper with black cardstock and glued it onto a white card base. About half of the designer's paper is covered with brown cardstock under which the worm and the pull tab mechanism is hidden. For the hole I've simply die cut a narrow oval from black cardstock, glued it onto the designer's paper and cut about half of the oval from the brown cardstock also. 

The hello is die cut from the same designer's paper I've also used in the background and also matted black. Across its bottom I've added a strip of vellum onto which I've stamped a saying meaning "best people in life are those that you've never been searching for but found them anyway". I think that works so great with the worm showing up out of nowhere. 

For decorations I've added a few Enamel Accents and also two clouds to the top of the card. Those are die cut from white cardstock and filled with vellum. If you look close you can see it.

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Kennt Ihr das - Ihr schleicht immer wieder um ein Stempelset herum, habt es aber bisher nicht erstanden. Und dann kommt Euch auf einmal DIE Idee und so muss/darf es doch bei Euch einziehen. So ging es mir mit dem Loads of Fun Stempelset von Lawn Fawn. Aber, wie gesagt, da war diese Idee. Und die zeige ich Euch heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog.

Do you know this - there's a stamp set you've been eyeballing with for ages but just didn't buy it. And then you get THE idea and so you finally have to buy it. For me it was like this with the Loads of Fun stamp set by Lawn Fawn. But, as mentioned, there was that idea popping up in my mind. And over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog I am sharing today what idea I had.

Wäschewaschen gehört ja nun nicht unbedingt zu meinen Lieblingsbeschäftigungen (wobei Bügeln noch schlimmer ist). Aber in so süßer Form macht sogar das Spaß.

Ich habe hier mit Distress Oxide Stormy Sky und der Brick Wall Stencil von MFT auf weißen Cardstock ganz dezent eine Mauer aufgewischt. Unten am "Boden" habe ich etwas Hickory Smoke verteilt. Darauf kam die Deko.

Doing the laundry isn't particularly one of my favorite activities (ironing is even worse). But when it comes in such a cute form even laundry can be fun.

Here I've used Distress Oxide Stormy Sky and the Brick Wall stencil by MFT to softly add a brick pattern to white cardstock. For the floor I've used Hickory Smoke. Then I've added the images.

Ich habe die Waschmaschine mit verschiedenen Teilen aus dem Stempelset gefüllt und sie übereinander maskiert, damit die Maschine auch voll aussieht. Dann habe ich sie coloriert und ein paar Muster mit weißem Gelstift hinzugefügt. Die Unterhose im Vordergrund hat ein Zwinker-Gesicht und rote Bäckchen bekommen. Damit sich die Wäsche drehen kann, habe ich den Teil extra rund ausgestanzt und auch das Fenster aus der Waschmaschine herausgeschnitten. Dafür habe ich hier dann, damit es echter aussieht, eine Lage Transparentfolie hinter die Waschmaschine geklebt. Die Maschine ist dann mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt, damit die Wäsche darunter Platz zum Drehen hat.

Auch das Waschmittel und der Wäschekorb sowie die aufsteigenden Seifenblasen sind aus demselben Stempelset. Ich habe alles einzeln ausgeschnitten und teilweise ebenfalls mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Die Blasen schillern auch ganz leicht in Regenbogenfarben, aber das hat die Kamera nicht so richtig festgehalten.

Der Text, der hier so wunderbar zu meiner fröhlichen Wäsche passt, ist aus dem Carousel Horses Stempelset von MFT. Ich musste den Text auf zwei Zeilen aufteilen, damit er auf meine Hochkant-Karte passt. Der Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und mit türkisfarbenem Cardstock hinterlegt.

I've "filled" the washing machine with different laundry pieces from the set and did some masking to make the machine look full. ThenI've colored them in and added some patterns with a white gelly pen. The slip in the front got a winking face and some red cheeks. To make the laundry turnable I've die cut them in a circle and also cut out the area inside the window. Instead I've glued a layer of acetate behind the machine to make the window look more real. I've glued down the machine with dimensionals to leave room for the laundry to turn.
Also the soap and clothes basket as well as the soap bubbles are from the same stamp set. I've cut out everything individually and added it to the scene, using dimensionals for some parts. The bubbles are very lightly colored with a rainbow pattern but the camera didn't really catch that.
The saying, that goes so wonderfully with my happy laundry, is from the Carousel Horses stamp set by MFT. I had to divide the text into two lines to make it fit the upright position of my card. It's white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock and matted with some turquoise cardstock.

Sommerzeit ist Eiszeit

Der Titel sagt es ja schon - Sommer und Eis gehören einfach zusammen! Und ein Gutschein für ein gemeinsames Eisessen ist immer ein willkommenes Geschenk. Und der will natürlich schön daherkommen. Wie das in meinem Fall aussieht, zeige ich heute auf dem Kulricke-Blog.

The titel reads "summertime is time for ice cream". So a giftcard from an ice cream shop is always welcome. Of course it needed a nice box to go into - and that I am sharing over at the Kulricke Blog today.

Als Basis habe ich hier die Streichholzschachtel-Stanze verwendet und sie aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich sie mit einem der Papiere aus dem Designpapierblock Pirat Mädchen beklebt.

Für das Banner habe ich die Gutschein 2 Stanze aus einem Banner aus rotem Cardstock ausgestanzt und auf ein etwas größere Banner aus weißem Cardstock geklebt, also das Negativ verwendet. Das kleine Innenteil im S habe ich wieder aufgeklebt und in das E den eigentlich eingestanzten Strich mit einem roten Marker dazugemalt.

As the base I've used the matchbox die here and cut it from white cardstock. Then I've covered the box with a pink designer's paper with white dots.

For the banner I've used the negative of a die cut voucher text die, cut from a banner made of red cardstock. Then I've glued it onto a slightly larger white banner. I've also added the small piece inside the S and handdrew the line in the E that usually gets cut.

Und da die Deko der Box ja etwas mit dem Geschenk zu tun haben soll, habe ich das Stanzenset Eis verwendet, um die leckeren Steckerleis zu stanzen. Ich bin ja nicht so der Fan von cremigem Sahneeis, ich stehe mehr auf das gute alte Wassereis oder Sorbets. Und so habe ich auch Wassereis gebastelt. Dafür habe ich die Teile aus rotem und hellgrünem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics die typischen Rillen aufgemalt. 

Die beiden Eis habe ich dann mit 3D Tape übereinander geklebt und das grüne Eis noch mit einer rosafarbenen Schleife dekoriert.

And since the box needs to relate to the gift I've used the ice cream die set to create those yummy popsicles. I am not a huge fan of ice cream since it's just too fat for my taste, I prefer popsicles and sorbets. So I've made those here as well. I've die cut the pieces from red and light green cardstock and used my Copics to add the lines to them.

Then I've glued the popsicles on top of each other using dimensionals and added a pink bow to the green one.

MFT Sketch Challenge Nr. 449

Bereits gestern durfte ich ja am August Release Day das MFT DT als Gast unterstützen. Aber es geht noch weiter - diesen Monat bin ich auch Gastdesigner für die wöchentlichen Sketch-Challenges. Ich liebe es generell, nach Sketchen zu arbeiten. Besonders toll finde ich es aber, wenn die Sketche auch noch Raum für eigene Ideen und Interpretationen lassen. Genau deswegen liebe ich die Sketch von MFT! Heute startet Challenge Nr. 449 mit einem weiteren tollen Sketch.

I've been a guest for the big MFT and Friends August Release Day yesterday. But the fun even continues: this month I will also be a guest designer for their weekly sketch challenges. I love to work with sketches. But I enjoy it even more when the sketches also leave room for your own ideas and intrepretations. That's why I love MFT's sketches. And today sketch challenge #449 is starting with another fun sketch.

Ich habe ja schon öfter erwähnt, wie sehr ich Halloween-Basteleien liebe. Und da kam das neue Best Witches Stempelset natürlich wie gelegen. 

Für den Hintergrund habe ich orangenen Cardstock mit einem Stück Cardstock aus dem Black and White Stripes Papierblock gemattet und diese Kombi dann auf eine weiße C6-Karte geklebt.

I've already mentioned several times how much I love those Halloween crafts. So the new Best Witches stamp set of course was completly my kind of stamp set.

For the background I've matted a piece of orange cardstock with some paper from the Black and White Stripes paper pack and then glued both onto a white C6 card (which is slightly different in size than the american A2 size, but not much).

Den Bogen auf dem Sketch habe ich durch eine Halloweenszene in gleicher Form ersetzt. Dafür habe ich aus hell-lila farbenem Cardstock das Peek-a-Boo Wheel ausgestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Wilted Violet und der Mini Cloud Edges Stencil Wolken aufgewischt. Die Sterne sind mit einem weißen Gelmarker hinzugefügt. Auf die Karte habe ich dann nur etwa die Hälfte des gezackten Kreises geklebt.

Davor habe ich eine Graslandschaft, gemacht mit der Tucked-In Horizontal Stanze, geklebt. Und weil Halloween und Glitzer so toll zusammenpassen, habe ich hier schwarzen Glittercardstock verwendet. Zum Einsatz kam übrigens nur etwa 2/3 der Grasstanze. So passte die Größe zum Sketch und für mich die Anordnung der "Hügel". 

Die tollen Häuser und der Mond mit der süßen Spinne sind aus dem Stempelset Best Witches. Ich habe die Motive mit Copics coloriert und mit den passenden Stanzen ausgestanzt. Hinter das schmälere Haus habe ich auch noch den Eerie Tree geklebt. So ein kahler Baum gehört einfach zu  einer Halloweenkarte.

Der Text ist, wie so oft, weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. 

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch einen Streifen grünes Designpapier mit weißen Punkten aus dem Candy Lane Paper Pack unter den schwarzen Glitzercardstock geschoben. Wer hätte gedacht, dass Weihnachtspapier zu einer Halloweenkarte passt?

I've replaced the arch on the sketch with a Halloween scene in the same shape. To create this I've die cut the Peek-a-Boo Wheel from light purple cardstock and then used Distress Oxide Wilted Violet and the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil to add some clouds. The stars were added with a white gelly marker. For my card I've only used about half of the die cut wheel.

In front of it I've added a grassy landscape, made using the Tucked-in Horizontal die. And since Halloween and glitter go together so wonderfully I've used black glitter cardstock to cut the landscape from. I've only used about 2/3 of the grass die here. This way the size fitted the sketch and the positions of the grassy patches were perfect for what I had in mind.

Those great houses and the moon with the cute spider are from the Best Witches stamp set. I've colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies. Behind the smaller house I've also put the new Eerie Tree. A bare tree just has to go on a Halloween card!

The saying is, as so often, white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

In the end I've tucked a strip of green designer's paper with white dots from the Candy Lane Paper Pack under the black glitter cardstock. Who would have thought that papers from a christmas themed paper pack would work on a Halloween card?

MFT & Friends August Release

Eine der Neuheiten ist das Interactive Up and Down Stanzenset - und das finde ich so grandios, dass ich gleich zwei Karten damit gemacht habe. 

One of their new die sets is the Interactive Up and Down set - and I love this so much that I did not only make one but two cards with it.

Für die erste Karte habe ich das neue Carousel Horses Stempelset und das Carousel-Stanzenset verwendet.
Ich bin ja in München und somit mit dem Oktoberfest aufgewachsen - und dort gibt es ein uraltes, immer noch in Betrieb befindliches Karussell, und das hatte ich sofort im Kopf. Also habe ich eher gedeckte Farben verwendet, um ein antikes Karussell zu kreieren.
Ich habe das Karusselldach einmal aus dunkeltürkisfarbenem und einmal aus cremefarbenem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Copics ein paar Schatten dazugemalt. Dann habe ich das cremefarbene Teil entlang der geprägten Linien zerschnitten und sie so auf das türkisfarbene geklebt, dass ein gestreiftes Dach entstanden ist. Die Bordüre am Dach ist, ebenso wie die Stangen und der Rand an der Basis, aus goldenem Spiegelkarton gestanzt.
Ich habe noch eine Mitte, zusammengesetzt aus 5 Streifen, die ich ebenfalls etwas schattiert und mit der kleinen Blume aus dem Carousel Horses Stempelset dekoriert habe, zum Karussell hinzugefügt. Für den Boden habe ich dieses Teil einmal aus grauem Cardstock gestanzt und mit dem Rand aus dem goldenen Spiegelkarton beklebt. Dann brauchte ich nur noch alle Teile zusammenfügen und mein Retro-Karussell war fast fertig.

For this first card I've used the new Carousel Horses stamp set and the Carousel die set.
I grew up in Munich - and that means Oktoberfest was a part of my life. There's that carousel that's over 100 years old and still runs - and that was what I had in mind when I saw these dies and stamps. So I've used muted colors to create an antik look.
I've die cut the roof of the carousel once from turquoise cardstock and once from creme colored cardstock and used my Copics to add some shadows. Then I've used the embossed lines as a guide to cut the creme colored roof into strips and glued every second of those onto the turquoise roof to end up with a striped one. The border here, as well as the poles and the side of the carousel base, are cut from golden mirror cardstock.
I've also added a center piece to my carousel, made from 5 strips of cardstock that I've also shaded a bit and then stamped the small flowers from the Carousel Horse stamp set onto the strips.
For the base I've die cut that piece from grey cardstock and then glued the side, cut off base cut from the golden mirror cardstock, onto it. Then all I needed to do was glue the pieces together to have a nearly finished retrostyle carousel.

Und hier haben die Pferde links und rechts auf einmal Ihre Position geändert! Das macht die Up and Down Stanze! Im ersten Moment wusste ich so gar nicht, wie man die zusammensetzt - aber das tolle Video von Laura erklärt alles ganz einfach. Und das ist es dann auch.

And here the horses on the left and right changed their position! That's thanks to the Up and Down die! At first I had no clue how to put that together - but the great video by Laura explains it all so clearly. And it really isn't complicated at all.

Und nun noch zu den Karussellpferden. Es sind drei verschiedene Pferde im Set - ich habe zwei davon verwendet und mit Copics coloriert. Die Mähnen und die Schweife sind mit Stickles überzogen, denn so ein Karussellpferd muss doch ein wenig glitzern, oder?
Den Hintergrund meiner Karte habe ich mit Distress Oxide Dried Marygold, Tea Dye und Victorian Velvet eingefärbt und dann mit der Card Sized Star Confetti Stencil die Sterne - im oberen Bereich mit Aged Mahogany, im unteren mit Victorian Velvet - hinzugefügt. So sieht alles noch ein wenig magischer aus.
Zum Schluss kam noch ein Text aus dem Karussellpferde-Set, weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, auf den oberen Teil der Karte.

And now let's talk about those great carousel horses. There are three horses in the set - I've used two of them and colored them with Copics. The manes and tails are covered with Stickles because a carousel horse needs some glitter, right?
For the background I've used Distress Oxide Dried Marygold, Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet and then used the Card Sized Star Confetti Stencil to add the stars - with Aged Mahogany in the upper area and Victorian Velvet in the lower. Now everything looks even more magical.
In the end I've added a banner with a white heat embossed saying from the Carousel Horses stamp set to the top of the card.

Und dann habe ich überlegt, wofür man die Up and Down Stanze noch verwenden könnte - und da fiel mir sofort eine Wippe ein. Klar, es gibt sicher noch zig weitere Möglichkeiten, aber die wollte ich dann auch noch umsetzen. Aber erstmal ein Video von den Karten in Bewegung:

And then I've thought about what else the Up and Down die could be used for - and immediately had a seesaw in mind. Of course, there surely are a bunch of other ways to use it, but I wanted to try the seesaw idea. But before we talk about that I have a video of both cards in movement:



 Sieht das nicht klasse aus - und ich rede hier natürlich über die Art der Bewegung, die man mit der Up and Down Stanze ganz einfach seiner Karte hinzufügen kann.

Doesn't that look amazing - and I'm talking about the kind of movement you can easily add to your card using the Up and Down die set.

Und hier nochmal die Wippen-Karte in Bildern. Hier musste ich ein wenig nachdenken, damit das auch so klappte, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Die Lösung war aber ganz einfach: Die Tiere - hier der süße Igel und sein Freund das Eichhörnchen  aus dem Stempelset Picnic Pals - bewegen sich auf der Karte ja "nur" auf und ab. Hätte ich sie also fest auf der Wippe angeklebt, hätte es nicht funktioniert, denn die Diagonale der Wippe ist ja länger als die Gerade. Also hätte sich die Wippe in gerader Position mittig gewölbt, hätte ich die Wippe an den Teilen in den Schlitzen angeklebt. Dann aber kam mir die Idee, einfach den T-Teil aus dem Stanzenset nochmal zu verwenden. Der hat die passenden Ausstanzungen, so dass die Wippe sich richtig bewegen kann. Ich habe einfach das T-Stück nochmal aus braunem Cardstock gestanzt, den kürzeren Teil abgeschnitten und das längere Teil als Wippe verwendet. Ich konnte es einfach mit dem Brad, mit dem auch der Mechanismus auf der Rückseite befestigt wird, auf der Vorderseite der Karte befestigen. Und weil so eine Wippe ja auch ein Mittelstück braucht, habe ich das abgerundete Dreieck aus dem Interactive Swing Stanzenset darübergeklebt und es dabei wirklich nur ganz unten angeklebt, so dass sich die Wippe darunter bewegen kann.

And here I have some pictures of the seesaw card. I had to put my thinking cap on to make this work as planned. But the solution was so simple: the animals - the cute hedgehog and his friend the squirrel from the Picnic Pals stamp set - are "only" moving up and down on the card. So if I'd have glued them directly onto the seesaw it wouldn't have worked since the diagonal way is longer than the horizontal. So the paper would have warped in the middle if I'd have glued the seesaw to the moving pieces in the slits. Then I had the idea of simply using the t-shaped part from the Up and Down die set again. It already has the perfectly matching cut outs to make the seesaw move right. So I've simply cut the t-shaped part again from brown cardstock, cut off the shorter part and used the longer one as the seesaw. And I even could attach it to the card using the same brad that holds the mechanism on the back. Since the seesaw also needed a middle part I've used the rounded triangle die from the Interactive Swing die set here and only glued it onto the card at the very bottom, making sure the seesaw can move underneath.

Der Igel und das Eichhörnchen haben ihre Melonenstücke aufgegessen - okay, ich habe sie wegmaskiert -, ihr Picknick beendet und haben sich auf den Weg zu einem nahen Spielplatz gemacht. Für den Hintergrund habe ich die Scene Builder Stempel verwendet, unten auf der Karte kam die neue Tucked Under Horizontally Stanze zum Einsatz. Unter das mittig ausgestanzte Gras konnte ich perfekt den Mittelteil meiner Wippe schieben. Daneben habe ich noch den Picknickkorb geklebt.
Der Spruch, wieder weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, ist wieder aus dem Carousel Horses Stempelset.

The hedgehog and squirrel ate their pieces of watermelon - okay, I've masked those off while stamping -, finished their picnic and moved on to a near playground.
For the background I've used the Scene Builder stamp set, at the bottom of the card I've used the also new Tucked Under Horizontally die. The position of the grass cut in the middle was perfect to tuck in the middle of the seesaw. Next to it I've put the picnic basket.
The saying, again white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock, is again from the Carousel Horses stamp set.
