Gute Besserung

Die Schnupfen-, Grippe- und Co-Zeit ist in vollem Gang. Also dachte ich mir, ich mache für den Fall der Fälle mal eine Gute-Besserungs-Karte....

We're in the middle of the flu season. So I thought I make a get well card, just to have one in case I need one....

Nun muss ich hier ein wenig ausholen. Die Idee zu der Karte kam mir, als ich auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Motiv durch meine Stempel gegangen und auf die Langen Freunde von Create a Smile gestoßen bin. Und da fiel mir die Begegnung mit Wiebke auf dem letzten Mekka wieder ein. Sie war am überlegen, ob ein Schal-Motiv von Cats on Appletrees wohl zu der Giraffe von Create a Smile passen würde... Nun habe ich dieses Schal-Motiv nicht, aber wir sind ja kreativ. Und das ist dabei dann herausgekommen....

Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein Stück cremefarbenen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Brushed Corduroy und Ground Espresso gewischt und dann noch ein wenig Black Soot aufgetragen, da mir das dunkle Braun nicht so recht gefallen hat. Zuvor habe ich mir die ungefähre Lage meines Motivs mit einem feinen Bleistiftstrich markiert und diesen Bereich als meine hellste Stelle gewählt. Anschließend habe ich einige Wassertropfen und goldene Metallic Watercolor auf den gewischten Cardstock gespritzt. Aber irgendwie fehlte mir noch irgendwas. Also habe ich den Twinkle-Stencil von Create a Smile benutzt und mit weißer Stempeltinte die kleinen Glitzersterne aufgewischt. Die sind schön dezent, füllen aber den Hintergrund doch. Und überraschenderweise funktionieren sie super für diese Karte. 

I have to tell a little story first. I had the idea for this card with I went through my stamps, looking for an image I wanted to use for this get well card, and came across the Lange Freunde by Create a Smile. And that's when I remembered how we met Wiebke during Stempelmekka last september and how she was just trying to find out, if a scarf image by Cats on Appletrees might fit this giraffe... Well, I don't have this scarf image, but hey, we're creative people! And that's how this card came together.

For the background I inked a piece of cream cardstock with Distress Oxide Brushed Corduroy and Ground Espresso and then added a bit of Black Soot because I didn't like the dark brown. Before inking the cardstock I had used a pencil to lightly mark the area where my image will be, then chose this as my lightest area. Next I flicked  some water and some gold metallic watercolor onto the background. But I still felt like there was something missing. So I brought out the Twinkle stencil by Create a Smile and inked those little stars with white ink onto the background. They are pretty subtle but fill the background - and surprisingly they work great on this card.

Der armen Giraffe geht es wirklich nicht gut, die ist ganz blass, nur die Nase leuchtet rot.... Und weil man in so einem Zustand auf jeden Fall denKop hängen lässt, habe ich den langen Hals beim Stempeln etwas gebogen. Außerdem habe ich sie mit einigen Accessoires ausgestattet. 

Da wäre natürlich erstmal der Schal - und bei einer Giraffe muss der natürlich extra lang sein. Ich habe den Schal eines der Monster aus dem Set Fröhliche Schreiertage benutzt. Da eigentlich eine Lichterkette mit dem Schal um das Monster gewickelt ist, die aber hier natürlich nicht gepasst hätte, habe ich das Motiv dreimal mit hellpinker Tinte abgestempelt und nach dem Colorieren mit einem schwarzen Finerliner die Outlines aufgemalt. Dann habe ich die Schalteile ausgeschnitten und auf die Giraffe geklebt - dabei habe ich eines der Teile auf den Kopf gestellt, so sah es stimmiger aus. Die Decke und das Fieberthermometer sind vom Hasen aus dem Set Gute Besserung. Die Decke habe ich ohne die Füße des Hasen gestempelt am Rand oben rechts etwas an die Giraffe angepasst und auch hier die fehlenden Stempellinien mit einem schwarzen Fineliner ergänzt. Darin hat sich die Giraffe dann eingewickelt. Darunter habe ich dann den Schwanz der Giraffe nochmal an eine passende Stelle unter der Decke gestempelt.

Neben der Giraffe steht eine Medizinflasche - ebenfalls aus dem Set Gute Besserung -, eine Taschentücherbox aus dem Set Tierisch Vielseitig sowie jede Menge zerknüllte und benutzte Taschentücher aus dem Set Wenn Du Nicht Da Bist. 

Bei dem Eisbeutel auf dem Kopf - oder ist es eine Wärmflasche? - bin ich fremdgegangen und habe sie dem Nilpferd aus dem Set Männergrippe von Stampcorner geklaut.

Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift hinzugefügt.

Unter den Motiven habe ich noch einen ovalen Schatten, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, aufgeklebt.

The poor giraffe really isn't feeling well, she's very pale, only her nose is bright red... And since you for sure aren't happy in this situation, I bent her long neck before stamping her to make her hang her head. I also dressed her up with quite some accessoires.

Of course there's the scarf - and for a giraffe it has to be a very long one. I used the scarf from one of the monsters of the Fröhliche Schreiertage stamp set. But there are christmas lights wrapped around it, too, which of course didn't fit here. So I stamped the image three times with light pink ink and used a black fineliner to re-draw the outlines after the coloring. Then I cut the scarfs out and arranged them on the giraffe's neck, turning one of them upside down because it just looked better this way. The blanket and thermometer are borrowed from the bunny from the Gute Besserung set. I didn't stamp the bunny's feet, matched the top right with the shape of the giraffe and again used a black fineliner to add some missing stamp lines. The giraffe is wrapped in the blanket. Then I stamped the giraffe's tail only onto a spot under the blanket.

Next to the giraffe there's a medicine bottle - again from the Gute Besserung stamp set -, a box of tissues from the Tierisch Vielseitig set and a lot of used tissues from the Wenn du nicht da Bist set. For the ice on the giraffe's head - or is it a hot-water bottle? - I had to use a stamp by Stampcorner and have  stolen it from the hippo from the Männergrippe stamp set.

I colored all images with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.

As a ground under the giraffe I die cut an oval shadow from black cardstock and put it under the images.

Der Text besteht aus drei Textteilen - alle mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Das Kopf Hoch ist aus dem Set Ausflippen, das Alles wird Gut aus dem Set Keine Sorge und das Gute Besserung wieder aus dem Set Gute Besserung. Als Deko habe ich noch ein paar kleine rote Herzen mit aufgeklebt.

The text is divided into three parts - the mean "heads up, everything will be fine - get well soon". I white heat embossed them onto strips of black cardstock. I also added three little red hearts.

Alle Elemente hier sind direkt auf den Cardstock geklebt, ich bin also mal komplett ohne 3D Tape ausgekommen. Zum Schluss habe ich alles noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

All the elements on this card are glued directly onto the background - I actually didn't use any foam tape on this card. As a last step I adhered the cardstock to a white note card.

Stampcorner December Daily #17

Im heutigen Türchen der Adventskalender Aktion von Stampcorner versteckt sich ein weiterer Ernst, das süße Nilpferd aus der Feder von Oma Plott. Und der arme Kerl hat sich erkältet. Für Männer kann das ja einem Todesurteil gleichen....

Behind today's shutter of Stampcorner's advent calendar release there's another Ernst, the cute hippo drawn by Oma Plott. The poor guy catched a bad cold! And this can be like a death penalty to men...

Ich habe daher eine Taschentuchverpackung gewerkelt - wie in der Werbung, in der die Ehefrau dem fast sterbenden Gatten eine Medizin aufs Bett wirft. Das ist dann doch optisch etwas schöner, und auch sehr viel liebevoller!

Den Außenteil meiner Verpackung habe ich aus braunem Cardstock gewerkelt, die Schublade, in der sich die Taschentücher befinden, ist aus rotem Cardstock gemacht.

I made a tissue box - there's a commercial in Germany where a sick man lays in bed and tells his wife to please call his mum. Instead she's throwing a box of pills on the bed. There's a "please call my mum" text in this stamp set, that I used on my box. But I really think this box is a lot nicer than a box of pills - and a lot more loving.

I made the outside of my box from craft colored cardstock, the drawer, that holds the tissues, is made from red cardstock.

Ich habe einige Zeit überlegt, mit was ich meine Box bekleben soll. Dann habe ich mir kurzerhand einen Bogen voller Hatschi! ausgedruckt und das als Designpapier verwendet. Bevor ich die Teile aufgeklebt habe, habe ich die Ränder mit Distress Ink Ground Espresso gewischt und dann noch rote Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt.

I really wasn't sure what I wanted to cover my box with. Then I simply printed a sheet full of rows of Achoo! and used that as my patterned paper. Before adhering it to the box I used Distress Ink Ground Espresso to ink up the edges and also flicked some red metallic watercolor onto the paper.

Auf dem Deckel der Box klebt der arme kranke Ernst! Den habe ich mit Copics coloriert - mit fiebrigen Backen und einer roten Schnupfennase. Die Wärmflasche und den Schal habe ich in braun gehalten, auf den Schal habe ich mit Polchromos noch rote und weiße Streifen aufgemalt.

Ich habe hier zwei der Texte aus dem Set kombiniert, allerdings die Anordnung ein wenig abgeändert. Das ich habe steht eigentlich über dem Wort Schnupfen, ich habe es davor gestempelt. Sonst hätten die Texte so nicht auf meine Box gepasst. Zum Abstempeln habe ich schwarze Tinte verwendet und einige Worte - bzw. das "es geht zu Ende!" - mit Rot hervorgehoben. Dann habe ich die Texte schwarz gemattet und auf die Box geklebt.

Ernst habe ich mit 3D Tape befestigt und hinter ihn ein Stück Cheesecloth gesetzt.

On top of the box there's poor sick Ernst. I colored him with Copics - with fevery red cheeks and red runny nose. The hot-water bottle and the scarf I colored in browns and added some red and white stripes to the scarf using polychromos.

The text means "I have a runny nose - it's going to be my end! Can you please call my mummy?". I stamped the texts in black and highlighted a few words in red. Then I matted the strips black and adhered them to the box. 

To attach Ernst I used foam tape and put a piece of cheesecloth behind him.

Öffnet man die Box - sie wird vorne an der Schmalseite mit zwei Magneten verschlossen gehalten - dann befindet sich im Inneren ein weiterer Text und die Öffnung, aus der man die Taschentücher entnehmen kann. Und auch hier ist alles mit dem selbstgedruckten Hatschi!-Papier überzogen.

When you open the box - it gets held close with the help of two magnets on the front flap - there's another text on the inside and of course the opening, through which the tissues can be taken out. And again everything is covered with the home printed Achoo! paper.

Auch den Text hier - ebenfalls im Stempelset enthalten - habe ich in schwarz und rot gestempelt, schwarz gemattet und aufgeklebt.

Zusätzlich habe ich als Deko noch ein rotes und ein braunes Fähnchen, versehen mit einem kleinen Herz, aufgeklebt.

The text on the inside of the lid - it says "even if the chances with man flu are pretty few: get well  soon" - is again stamped in red and black, matted with black cardstock and attached directly onto the patterned paper.

I also added two little banners, a red and a brown one, decorated with a small red heart to the inside of the lid.

Und wenn alle Taschentücher aufgebraucht sind, kann man einfach die Schublade, die das Innenteil bildet, aufschieben und sie neu befüllen. So eine Männergrippe kann sich ja ein wenig hinziehen....

And once all the tissues are used up the drawer, that holds the tissues, can be opened and get refilled. A man flu won't be cured within a day....

Stampcorner November Sneak #1

Momentan geht es Schlag auf Schlag hier - eine Karte folgt auf die nächste. Und heute zeige ich Euch bereits ein Sneak auf eines der neuen Stempelsets, die es am 01. November bei Stampcorner geben wird.

I have made so many cards lately, and of course I want to share all of them with you here on my blog. Today's card is a sneak at one of the stamp sets, that will be available in the Stampcorner shop november 1st.

Bei dem süßen Motiv mit dem Bär auf dem Regenbogen, war klar, dass ich eine farbenfrohe Karte werkeln würde. Und da Farben ja immer gute Laune verbreiten - und ich wegen der Grippewelle die ein oder andere Gute-Besserungs-Karte brauche - habe ich mich genau dafür entschieden. 

Ich habe hier mal zu Watercolor Markern gegriffen und damit auch den Hintergrund gestaltet. Für mich als Kontrollfreak ja immer eine Herausforderung, vor allem, wenn Ink Smooshing im Spiel ist. Und ich gebe zu, dass dies bereits mein dritter Versuch war. Bei den ersten beiden hatte ich mich Streifen in Regenbogenfarben quer über den Cardstock entschieden. Beim ersten gefiel mir die Ausrichtung nicht, beim zweiten der Hintergrund in Kombi mit dem Motiv. Also habe ich mir eine letzte Chance gegeben und die Farben nur entlang des Randes aufgetragen und dabei bewusst einen Teil frei gelassen. Und das Ergebnis fand ich dann klasse. Ich war versucht, goldene Glitter Watercolor darüber zu sprenkeln, hatte aber Angst, dass das zu dem Hintergrund einfach nicht passt und mich deshalb dagegen entschieden. So ist dieser Hintergrund gleich doppel ungewöhnlich für mich. 

Ich habe jeweils ein wenig Farbe auf ein Stück Folie aufgetragen, ein wenig Wasser darauf geträufelt und die Folie dann auf den Rand des Watercolor Cardstocks gedrückt. Beim ersten Aufdrücken entsteht ein relativ gleichmäßiges Ergebnis. Ich habe die erste Farblage jeweils getrocknet und dann die Folie erneut aufgedrückt, so entstehen die Flecken. Bei einigen Farben habe ich diesen Schritt noch ein weiteres Mal wiederholt. Wenn ich zufrieden war, habe ich mit der angrenzenden Farbe weitergemacht und dabei darauf geachtet, dass die Farben ein wenig überlappen. 

When I saw the cute image with the bear on the rainbow I knew, that I wanted to make a colorful card. And since colors always bring happiness - and since I need quite a few get well cards at the moment - I've decided to turn that image into one.

I went with watercolor markers here and used them to create my background also. That's always a challenge for me and my inner control freak, especially when there is ink smooshing involved. And I have to admit, this background was my third try. With the first two I had colorful strips across the cardstock in mind. Well, I used my cardstock in a landscape format for the first background and didn't like it. I did a new one in portrait orientation but then didn't like it in combination with the image. So I decided to give it one more try and only put the colors down along the edge of the cardstock, leaving a part of it free. And I really liked how that turned out. I really was tempted to sprinkle some golden metallic watercolor on top but was afraid that it wouldn't look good and so I decided against it. So this card is different from my usual ones in more than one way.

I used a piece of acetate and scribbled some of the color onto it, then added just a bit of water and pressed the color onto the edge of my watercolor cardstock. With the first layer of ink the color looks pretty even. I dried the first layer of color and then pressed the acetate down again, this way those speckles get created. I repeated that second step a third time on a few of the colors. Once I was happy with the color I moved on to the next, making sure to overlap the colors a bit.

Natürlich habe ich auch das Motiv mit Watercolors coloriert. Der Bär ist fast ein wenig dunkel geworden, finde ich. Aber er ist natürlich trotzdem zuckersüß! Vor dem Colorieren habe ich das Motiv mit schwarzem Embossingpulver auf Watercolor Cardstock embosst, so ist das Colorieren einfacher und die Farben laufen nicht so leicht ineinander.

Da der Regenbogen hier nur drei Bögen hat, habe ich jeweils zwei Farben pro Bogen verwendet. Der äußerte war Pink und Orange - das Orange hat das Pink aber eher ins Rote verschoben. Zur Reihenfolge des Regenbogens passt es natürlich trotzdem.

Ich habe das Motiv ausgeschnitten und mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

Die Texte sind aus den Stempelsets Gute Wünsche und Kleine Worte. Ich habe sie weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Das Banner mit dem Für Dich ist mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt. Dabei habe ich den unteren Abschluss des Regenbogens verdeckt, damit der nicht so in der Luft schwebt. Darunter habe ich dann den kleineren Text, wieder mit dem dünneren 3D Tape, aufgeklebt.

Of course I used watercolors to color the image, also. Well, the bear turned out a bit dark, but of course he's still super cute! Before I colored the image, I black heat embossed it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. This makes coloring easier since the colors don't run into each other that easily.

Since the rainbow only has three arches, I colored each of them in two colors. The outermost one is colored in pink and orange, but the orange turned the pink into more of a red tone. I don't bother since the colors of the rainbow are still correct.

I cut the image out and glued it onto the background with thin foam tape. 

The text means for you - get well soon. I've white heat embossed them onto black cardstock and then cut them into strips. I glued the larger one down with thicker foam tape, covering the ends of the rainbow so those have some kind of base ground. To attach the smaller text I used the thinner foam tape again.

Da so ein wenig Gold der Karte auf keinen Fall schaden konnte, habe ich zumindest einige goldene Sternpailetten in zwei Größen auf der Karte verteilt. Dann habe ich alles schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I thought, a hint of gold wouldn't hurt the card, so I added a few star shaped  confetti in two different sizes. Then I matted my cardstock black and glued it onto a white note card.

Have you seen this cute gnome mummy by Stampcorner already? I just love him. And that it can be used for more than just Halloween cards, that's what I'm sharing over at the Stampcorner Blog today.

Für meine Karte habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks schwarz gemattet und beide Lagen auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Und wie Ihr seht, ist es eine Gute-Besserungs-Karte geworden. Das Spinnennetz, das sich eigentlich an der Mütze des Wichtels befindet, habe ich einfach nach dem Stempeln weggeschnitten.

Und hier seht Ihr auch gleich noch einen der genialen Texte aus einem ebenfalls neuen Stempelset. Darin sind verschiedene Texte enthalten, alle in der tollen Schreibschrift geschrieben. Ich habe meinen Text mit schwarzem Embossingpulver auf einen Streifen Vellum embosst und den quer über die Karte geklebt - natürlich erst, nachdem ich den weißen Cardstock dekoriert habe.

For my card I matted a piece of white cardstock black and then glued both layers onto a white note card.

And as you can see, I used this gnome for a get well card. I've simply cut away the cobweb, that's attached to his hat, after stamping the image.

And here you also get a look at another new stamp set - or one stamp out of it. It's a set with lots of different texts, all in this beautiful script. This one means "get well soon". I black heat embossed my text onto a strip of vellum and glued that across my card - of course after decorating the white cardstock.

Auf den weißen Cardstock habe ich erst ein paar Mal ein "alles Gute für Dich" weiß aufembosst. Dafür habe ich zwei Stempelteile aus dem Set Wir Gratulieren kombiniert.

Anschließend habe ich die Watercolor Wash Free Form Stencil von MFT auf den Cardstock gelegt und mit Distress Oxide Barn Door eingefärbt. Die Farbe konnte ich hinterher ganz einfach vom Embossingpulver abwischen, so dass der Text weiß bleibt.

Neben dem Wichtel habe ich verschiedene Arzneien aufgeklebt. Dafür habe ich Stempel aus den Sets Germ Free Bear, Purrfectly Wicked, Plan on It und Get Well Before 'n' After von LawnFawn verwendet. Die Motive sind alle mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

An den Rändern des rot gewischten Hintergrundes habe ich noch ein paar kleine hellblaue Herzchen sowie kleine rote Glitzersteine aufgeklebt.

 

I white heat embossed a "all the best for you" text several times onto the white cardstock. Then I put the Watercolor Wash Free Form stencil by MFT onto the cardstock and inked up the inner area with Distress Oxide Barn Door. Afterwards I could simply wipe off the red ink off the embossed areas and the text was visible again.

To the left and right of the gnome I added different bottles of medicine. I used stamps from the stamp sets Germ Free Bear, Purrfectly Wicked, Plan on It and Get Well Before 'n' After, all by LawnFawn, to stamp these. All images are glued down with dimensionals.

Close to the edges of the red background I glued down a few light blue hearts and some tiny red rhinestones.

 

 Und hier ist endlich der arme Mumien-Gnom. Meiner hatte offenbar einen wirklich schlimmen Unfall und ist von Kopf bis Fuß eingebunden. Nur die Nase und der Bart sind noch zu sehen. 

Coloriert habe ich alle Motive wie immer mit Copics.

Nun ja, man mag mir nachsagen, dass ich böse bin. Aber kennt Ihr das - genau dort, wo Ihr nicht hinkommt, juckt es. Nun ja, der arme Gnom kann sich ganz offensichtlich so überhaupt nicht bewegen. Das nutzt die freche Fliege aus und kitzelt ihn an der Nase.... Sorry, ich konnte nicht widerstehen. Die Fliege ist aus dem Stempelset Toad-ally Awesome von LawnFawn.

And here's the poor mummy gnome. Seem like this one was in a really bad accident and now he's wrapped in bandages from head to toes. Only his nose and the beard are still visible.

I colored all images on this card with Copics.

And well, some might say I'm bad. But do you know that - exactly the one spot you can't reach is itching. Well, this poor gnome obviously is kind of unable to move at all. And that fly is really taking advantage here and is tickling the gnome's nose.... Sorry, I just wasn't able to resist. The fly image is from the Toad-ally Awesome stamp set by LawnFawn.

Zwei auf einen Streich

In den letzten Wochen sind so viele Karten entstanden, ich komme mit dem Posten nicht hinterher. Deswegen zeige ich Euch heute gleich zwei Werke, die ein wenig mit Corona zusammenhängen.

I've made that many cards during the past weeks that I don't have time to post them all individually. So today I am sharing two cards that both somehow relate to Corona.

Die erste Karte ist, unschwer zu erkennen, eine Dankekarte für ein Krankenhaus. 

Ich habe im Hintergrund den Virus-Stempel verwendet und ihn hellgrau auf einen Streifen weißen Cardstock gestempelt. Den Streifen habe ich dann mit rot-weiß gestreiftem Designpapier gemattet. 

Dann habe ich ihn auf ein Stück weißen Cardstock geklebt. Da nur weiß als Hintergrund zu fad aussah, habe ich von der unteren linke Ecke aus gelbe Aquarellfarbe aufgetragen. Auf die rechte Seite habe ich ein paar einzelne Viren aufgestempelt.

The first card is - hardly not to notice - a thank you card that went to a hospital. 

I've stamped a virus background onto a strip of white cardstock using light grey ink, then matted the strip with red and white striped designer's paper. I've glued the strip onto white carstock, and since that looked  a bit plain I've added some yellow watercolor to the bottom left corner of the card and a few individual viruses to the right - of course before glueing the strip down.

Hauptelement ist natürlich die Krankenschwester! Die habe ich mit Copics coloriert, die blonden Haare passen zur gelben Aquarellfarbe. 

Das Danke ist mit den ABC Groß Stanzen aus rotem Cardstock gestanzt, das Und-Zeichen ist aus dem ABC 1 Stanzenset. Ich habe die Buchstaben mit weißen Highlights versehen und auf die Karte geklebt. Um den Text fortzuführen, habe ich einen Text, der mit der Krankenschwester im Set kommt, weiß auf ein Banner aus rotem Cardstock embosst und unter das Danke geklebt.

Of course the nurse is the main element on this card. I've colored her with Copics, making the blonde hair go with the yellow watercolor paint.

The big die cut word means thanks, cut from red cardstock. I've also die cut a smaller ampersand and added some white highlights to those die cuts. To finish the saying I've white heat embossed a "stay healthy" onto a banner of red cardstock and glued it underneath the thanks.

Und durch die Texte, die mit dem Motiv geliefert werden, passt auch diese Karte zum Corona-Thema. 

Hier habe ich Streifen in Regenbogenbogenfarben hochkant auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt und darüber dann ein etwas kleineres Rechteck aus Vellum geklebt. Den Kleber habe ich hier nur unter den Motiven aufgetragen, so ist er unsichtbar.

And due to the sayings here also this card goes with the Corona theme.

Here I've glued some strips of paper in rainbow colors onto a white note card. Then I've glued a slightly smaller rectangle cut from Vellum on top of this rainbow. I've applied the glue only underneath the images so it is invisible.

Auch das geniale Chamäleon ist in Regenbogenverlauf coloriert. Es ist so schön gechillt, genau richtig in so manch stressiger Situation. Ich habe das Motiv so coloriert, dass es aus einem Rechteck aus weißem Cardstock herauszuhängen scheint. Im Hintergrund habe ich ein paar Blätter aufgemalt, dafür habe ich Blätter einer Stencil von Create a Smile vorsichtig mit Bleistift übertragen und dann ohne Stempellinien coloriert. Den Rest des weißen Cardstocks habe ich blau-grau coloriert. 

Die Texte sind weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und einmal von links, einmal von rechts quer auf die Karte geklebt.

Also this great chameleon is colord in rainbow colors. It looks so amazingly chalm, exactly how you should react in stressy situations. I've colored the image in a way to make it look like hanging from a rectangle of white cardstock. In the background I've added a few leaves. Those were traced using a stencil by Create a Smile, then colored without outlines. The rest of the white cardstock is colored in a greyish blue.

The sayings mean "think positive" and "stay healthy". They are white heat embossed onto some black cardstock and then glued across the card, one coming in from the left, the other one from the right.

MFT Sketch Challenge #450

It's wednesday (afternoon my time) - and so the new sketch challenge#450 starts over at the MFT Blog. For those sketch challenges I am a guest to join the DT for the month of august. And also this week's sketch is so inspiring:

Die Idee zu meiner Karte kam mir ganz spontan:

The idea for my card just popped up when I looked at the sketch:

Für meine Karte habe ich die tollen Stempelsets Call the Shots und Bedside Manner verwendet. Und ich habe damit auch mein eigenes "Designpapier" gemacht. Dafür habe ich die Spritze, Pillen und Medikamentenflasche aus den Sets verteilt auf den Hintergrund gestempelt und dazwischen ein paar kleine Herzen aus dem Set Carousel Horses gesetzt. Die füllten die kleinen Lücken perfekt. Da das Papier nicht die Hauptaufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen sollte, habe ich hier die Motive nur ganz leicht und rudimentär mit Polychromos coloriert. Dann habe ich den weißen Cardstock türkisfarben gemattet und auf eine weiße Klappkarte geklebt.

For my card I've used the great new stamp sets Call the Shots and Bedside Manner. And I've also used those to create my own "designer's paper". I've simply stamped the sringe, pills and medicine bottle from the sets all over my white cardstock and put a few small hearts from the Carousel Horses stamp set in between. These were perfect to fill in the gaps. Since I didn't want this paper to be the main attraction I just did some rudimentary and soft coloring using Polychromos. Then I've matted the white cardstock with some turquoise cardstock and glued it onto a white card base.

Für den Tag im Sketch habe ich den Tag aus dem Tag Builder Blueprints #7 Stanzenset aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und schwarz gemattet (die Mattung ist mit der Hand geschnitten). Mit dem Tiny Hearts Background und klarem Embossingpulver habe ich die Herzen auf den Tag aufembosst und dann Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade benutzt, um den weißen Cardstock orange einzufärben. Dabei habe ich die Farbe so aufgetragen, dass sie zum oberen Ende des Tags hin heller wird. Durch die klar embossten Herzen kann man immer noch den weißen Cardstock erkennen. 

For the tag drawn in the sketch I've used the Tag Builder Blueprints #7 Die-Namics. I've cut it from white cardstock and matted it black (the matting was handcut). Using the Tiny Hearts Background and clear embossing powder I've heat embossed the hearts onto the tag and then covered the cardstock with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmelade. I've applied the ink from the bottom, adding less on my way to the top to get a slight ombre look. Through the clear embossing powder you can still see the white cardstock.

Und hier ist die süße Krankenschwester. Die ist nicht nur toll für Gute-Besserungs-Karten, sondern auch super für Dankeskarten an Ärzte und ihre Teams. 

Ich habe hier mit No-Line Coloring gearbeitet und dafür das Motiv mit Tickled Pink Premium Dye Ink gestempelt. Da ich nicht mit Copics sondern mit Polychromos coloriert habe, ist diese Tinte perfekt. Die weißen Highlights habe ich mit einem Gelmarker gemacht. Und weil Krankenschwestern und Co ja schon länger nicht mehr nur in weiß gekleidet sind, habe ich ihr ein türkisfarbenes Oberteil angezogen. 

Den Text habe ich wieder weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und auf die Karte geklebt. Dabei habe ich im Vergleich zum Sketch die Position des Textes ein klein wenig verschoben, da er hier einfach besser passte. 

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch ein paar türkisfarbene Enamel Dots auf der Karte verteilt.

And this is the cute nurse. She's not only great for get well cards but also for thank you notes to doctors and their teams.

I've done some no-line coloring here and used Tickled Pink Premium Dye Ink to stamp the image. Since I didn't use my Copics here but worked with Polychromos instead this ink was the perfect choice. The highlights were made using a white gelly marker. And since nurses etc don't wear white only since quite some time - at least here in Germany - I've given her a turquoise shirt.

The saying is again white heat embossed onto black cardstock and glued onto the card. Here in comparison to the sketch I've changed the position a bit just because it looked better there.

In the end I've added a  few turquoise Enamel Dots.

Wischi-Waschi

Nein, keine Angst, ich nehme das hier natürlich ernst. Aber in der Stamping-Fairies Produktwoche im Monat Mai möchten wir Euch zeigen, wie vielseitig Washi-Tape ist.

In the product spotlight of the month of may we from the Stamping-Fairies DT want to show you ideas of how to use your washi tapes.

Ich gebe es zu, Washitape kam bei mir bisher hauptsächlich zum Fixieren von Stanzen zum Einsatz. Aber es gibt so viele süße Motive, und die sind dafür natürlich viel zu schade. Also habe ich es auch mal auf Karten verwendet. Und da Washitape vor allem für schnelle Karten ideal ist, habe ich heute gleich 3 dafür aber recht einfache Karten zu zeigen.

I admit it - so far I've used washi tape mainly to fix my dies onto my paper to avoid the die from moving before I run it through my Big Shot. But there are so  many cute designs that are truly way too beautiful to be used for this. So I've used it on cards here - for the very first time, I think. And since washi tape is great for quick cards I have 3 cards to share today that are all quite simple.

Für die erste Karte habe ich ein paar Kaffeebecher auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und darüber dieses süße Tape mit Kaffeebechern und -bohnen geklebt. Unter das Tape habe ich noch Platz für einen Text gelassen, den ich direkt aufgestempelt  habe. Den weißen Cardstock habe ich dann schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.  

For this first card I've stamped some coffee cups onto white cardstock and then glued some of this cute washi tape with a coffee cups and coffee beans design across my cardstock. Under the tape I've left enough room to add a saying which was stamped directly onto the white cardstock. Then I've matted this piece of cardstock black and glued it onto a white card base.

Mit 3D Tape habe ich dieses süße Motiv aus dem Friends at first Sip Stempelset von MFT, aus dem auch die Becher und der Text sind, über das Tape geklebt. Darunter kam etwas schwarzes Garn. Als zusätzliche Deko reichten ein paar schwarze Enamel Accents. 

Using dimensionals I've glued this cute image from the Friends at first Sip stamp set by MFT, from which also the coffee cups and the saying comes from, on top of the washi tape, putting some black yarn under it. Then I've only added a few black Enamel Accents and the first card was done.

Auf der zweiten Karte habe ich das Washitape direkt auf weißen Cardstock geklebt. Bei dem leckeren Motiv auf dem Tape war klar, dass auch das Motiv irgendetwas mit Essen zu tun haben muss. Also habe ich zum Koch aus dem Recipe for Happiness Stempelset gegriffen.

Auch hier ist der weiße Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt. Zuvor habe ich allerdings ein Herz aus dem Hintergrund ausgestanzt.

On this second card I've taped the washi directly onto some white cardstock. With these yummy designs I knew the card also needed a food-related image. So I've used this chef from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set.

Also here I've matted the white cardstock black and then glued it onto a white card base. But before I've die cut a heart from the background.

Das Herz habe ich noch 4mal aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgestanzt, aufeinandergeklebt, das aus dem Hintergrund gestanzte Herz obenauf und dann alles in die Ausstanzung im Hintergrund geklebt. Quer über Herz und Hintergrund kam dann ein Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks, auf den ich mit weißem Embossinpulver einen Text aufgebracht habe. 

Der Koch und Salz- sowie Pfefferstreuer sind dann auf dem schwarzen Streifen befestigt.

I've die cut the heart four more times from black cardstock, stacked them, glued the heart cut from the background on top and then glued the stacked hearts back in the space where I've cut the heart from the background. 

Across the heart and background I've glued a strip of black cardstock onto which I've white heat embossed a saying.

The chef and salt and pepper shaker were then glued onto the black strip across the card.

Bei der letzen Karte habe ich aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks ein Kreuz ausgeschnitten. Auf den roten Cardstock, den ich zum matten verwendet habe, habe ich Washitape mit Pflasterprint sowie einfarbig cremefarbenes Washi geklebt. Diesmal eher etwas kreuz und quer und nicht so gerade. 

Unter das Kreuz habe ich einen Text gestempelt und auf der Karte ein paar rote Enamel Accents verteilt.

For this last card I've cut a cross from a piece of white cardstock. Onto the red cardstock that I've used to mat the white one I've glued some washi with a bandaid print and plain creme colored washi. This time I've went a bit wilder and did not glue it down just straight.

 Under the cross I've stamped a saying onto the white cardstock and also added a few red Enamel Accents.

Den weißen Cardstock habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf den roten Cardstock geklebt, so dass das Washi nun durch den kreuzförmigen Cardstock zu sehen ist. 

Also Deko habe ich noch zwei Arzneiflaschen und einen Löffel aufgeklebt. Alle Motive hier sind aus dem Feel Better Stempelset. 

Then I've used dimensionals to glue the white cardstock onto the red one - the washi can now be seen through the cut out cross only. 

For decorations I've added two medicine bottles and a spoon. All images here are from the Feel Better stamp set.

I guess I won't use washi on all my cards now but when I'm in a hurry I will definately use it as a quick way to decorate a card.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 06. April 2019

Die Schnupfenzeit scheint dieses Jahr mal wieder kein Ende nehmen zu wollen. Darum zeigen wir Euch beim Stempeleinmaleins heute diese Karte mit Taschentuchspender - denn mit eine lieben Gruß zur guten Besserung geht das Genesen doch viel schneller.

It seems like cold season doesn't come to an end again this year. So we at Stempeleinmaleins are sharing a tutorial for this card with an included hankerchief box - because a card full of love and get well wishes recovering happens so much faster.

Ich habe hier seit langem mal wieder eine Tilda verwendet. 

Die Karte selbst ist aus kraftfarbenem Cardstock gearbeitet, beklebt mit rotem Cardstock, hellbraunem Designpapier mit Herzenprint und weißem Cardstock, den ich mit dem Embossingfolder der vor 2 Jahren im Halloweenkalender von Magnolia enthalten war mit Kreuzen beprägt habe.

Here I've used a Tilda again - for the first time since quite a while.

The card itself is cut from craft colored cardstock and covered with red cardstock, light brown designer's paper with a heart pattern and white cardstock that I've dry embossed with crosses using the embossing folder that was included in Magnolias Halloween calendar 2017.

 Die Tilda habe ich coloriert und anschließend ausgeschnitten. Das Häubchen ist eine Stanze, die ebenfalls in dem Kalender enthalten war und die ich nach dem Stanzen einfach aufgeklebt habe. Dann habe ich Tilda so aufgeklebt, als stände sie hinter dem Text. Der ist mit dem Gute-Besserung-in-der-Tüte Stempel von AEH Design gemacht - den oberen Teil habe ich, da es hier ja nicht passt - einfach nicht mit abgestempelt. 

Im Hintergrund habe ich Cheesecloth und eine Herzschlaglinie aufgeklebt, unten vor den Text noch die Arzneiflasche von LeLo und einen Löffelcharm.

Da oben gefühlt noch etwas fehlte, habe ich  noch den "Knuddelgruß" aus dem Osterset von Kulricke auf ein Fähnchen abgestempelt und aufgeklebt.

Tilda was colored and cut out. The hat is a die that was also included in the calendar. After die cutting it I've simply glued it onto her head.

Then I've attached Tilda to the card in a way that makes her look standing behind the text. There are different things that do you good when you're sick listed there. Like "drink lots of tea", "take lots of vitamins" and also "get well soon". 

In the background I've added cheesecloth and a die cut heartbeat line, at the bottom and in front of the text I've added a medicine bottle and a spoon shaped charm.

Since it felt like there was something missing at the top I've added some "hugs" here, stamped on a little banner.

So sieht die Karte dann geöffnet aus - mit enthaltener Taschentuchbox.

Ich habe die Karte innen mit weißem Cardstock beklebt und dann die Box gearbeitet.

This is the opened card - including a hankerchief box.

I've covered the inside of the card with white cardstock and then added the box.

In den oberen Teil der Karte habe ich noch Gute-Besserungs-Wünsche (beide von Kulricke) gestempelt.

Die Box ist wieder aus kraftfarbenem Cardstock gemacht und mit rotem Designpapier mit Herzprint beklebt.

In the top part of the card I've stamped some get well wishes.

The box was made from craft colored carstock again and then covered with red designer's paper with a heart print.

Gute Besserung

Eine Freundin hat sich vor kurzem den Fuß gebrochen - also habe ich ihr als Aufmunterung diese Gute-Besserungs-Karte gemacht, die ich heute auf dem Kulricke-Blog zeige.

A friend of mine broke her leg - so I made her this get well card that I am sharing over at the Kulricke Blog today. 

Die Karte ist nur 7,5 cm hoch und 14,5 cm breit, aber ich finde die Größe prima so. 

Die Vorderseite habe ich mit Designpapier mit Herzendruck beklebt. Ein "gute Besserung" aus dem gleichnamigen Stempelset ist auf ein Banner gestempelt und links auf die Karte geklebt. Darüber habe ich das Schild gesetzt und mit einem roten Kreuz und einem Pfeil "beschriftet". Oben sind noch zwei kleine Wolken aus dem Schneekugel-Stanzenset angebracht. Und für drei grüne Enamel Dots war auch noch Platz.

This card is only 7,5 x 14,5 cm but I really like that size.

The front is covered with a designer's paper with a heart print. A "get well" is stamped onto a banner and glued to the left side. Underneath I've tucked a sign with a red cross and an arrow. There are also two little clouds floating in the sky. And there was also room enough for three green Enamel Dots.

 Als Motiv habe ich mich für eine der süßen Schildkröten entschieden. Ich habe sie etwas abgewandelt - ich habe ihr einen Gipsfuß verpasst und außerdem die Mundwinkel nach unten gezogen. So liegt sie nun im Gras... Coloriert habe ich mit einem Mix aus Copics und Polychromos. 

Den Text, ebenfalls aus dem Gute Besserungs Stempelset, habe ich dem Kreis angepasst gebogen und geteilt über und unter die Schildkröte gestempelt.

As an image I went with one of the cute turtles. I've changed her slightly by giving her a bandaged leg and also changed her smile into an expression with a downward corner of the mouth. And like this she's lying in the grass now...  Coloring was done with a mix of Copics and Polychromos. 

The saying means "hope you're back on your feet soon". I've bent the stamp to make the shape match the circle and then stamped it, partially on top, partially underneath the image.

Hier sieht man, was passiert, wenn man die Karte öffnet - vor das Motiv schiebt sich ein anderes. Das Bild wurde bei halb geöffneter Karte gemacht.

Here you see what happens when the card gets opened - a second image goes on top of the first one. The pic above was taken with the card half opened.

Und so sieht die Karte dann ganz geöffnet aus. Ich habe hier einen weiteren Text links des Motives und drei weitere Enamel Dots aufgebracht.

And this is the card completly opened. I've added another saying and three more Enamel Dots to the left side here. The saying here means "it will be alright".

Und hier ist die Schildkröte schon wieder auf den Beinen. Sie ist ebenfalls aus dem Schildkröten Stempelset und diesmal nicht abgeändert. Mir gefiel die Idee, die beiden Motive und den kleinen Text im Kreis zu kombinieren.  

And here the little turtle is back on her feet. She's from the same stamp set and not modified this time. I liked the idea of combining those two images with the small saying.

Stempeleinmaleins - Ausgabe vom 01. Dezember 2018

Heute zeigen wir Euch bei Stempeleinmaleins die Diagonal Gate Fold Card. Die Karte schaut besonders aus und ist doch ganz fix gemacht.

Today we are sharing a tutorial for a Diagonal Gate Fold Card over at Stempeleinmaleins. This card looks special but is easily to make.

Ich habe meine Karte aus braunem Cardstock gemacht und mit türkisfarbenem Designpapier mit Holzlook sowie grau-türkisem Designpapier mit Schneeprint beklebt. Die Designpapiere sind jeweils weiß gemattet.

I've used brown cardstock for my card base and added turquoise designer's paper with a wooden print and grey-ish turquoise designer's paper with a snow print. The designer's paper is matted with white cardstock.

Auf der Karte ist ein Aufleger mit der Deko. Ich habe hier erst einen Schneeflocken-Kreis von Noor!Design verwendet und darauf den Get Well Soon Circle Frame and Window geklebt. Hinter den Ausschnitt in der Mitte des Kreises habe ich türkisfarbenen Cardstock mit Schimmer geklebt, darauf kam die süße Eule aus dem Warm and Feathered Hugs Stempelset. Mit ihrem dicken Schal sieht sie aus, als hätte sie eine dicke Erkältung. Da die Eule ja nicht in der Luft schweben kann - schon gar nicht in ihrem Zustand! - habe ich noch einen ausgestanzten Zweig quer über den Aufleger geklebt und diesen mit einer Schleife aus türkis und weiß gestreiftem Twine verziert. Zum Schluss kamen noch ein paar grüne Enamel Accents auf die Karte.

Innen in der Karte habe ich noch einen kleinen Gruß und ein kleines grünes Herz versteckt.
