Eigentlich bin ich ja nicht der Typ, der kleinere Papierreste aufhebt. Aber bei der Karte lagen auf meinem Tisch noch die ausgestanzten Reste des Wolkenhintergrunds und der Wellen - ähm, ja, eigentlich räume ich ja nach jeder Karte auf, eigentlich.... Und weil die so toll zusammenpassten, habe ich damit diese "Reste-Karte" gewerkelt, die ich heute auf dem Stamping-Fairies Blog zeige.

I am not that type of crafter that keeps every left over piece of paper. But I had those die cut pieces of the clouds background and the waves on my desk - well, usually I clean my desk after each project, usually... And since those went together so perfectly I used them to made this card I am sharing over at the Stamping-Fairies Blog today from scraps.
Für den Hintergrund wollte ich unbedingt die "Regenbogentechnik" mit Distress Inks und der Drifts and Hills Schablone ausprobieren. Ich habe dafür Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans und Chipped Sapphire (von oben nach unten) benutzt. Darauf kam dann meine Reste-Deko. Den Wolkenhintergrund habe ich schwarz gemattet und rechts davon die Palme aus dem Penguins in Paradise Stempelset geklebt. Auf den Wolkenhintergrund habe ich noch die beiden Vögel aus dem Piraten-Stempeset abgestempelt.
For the background I wanted to try the "rainbow technique" using Distress Inks and the Drifts and Hills stencil. I used - from top to bottom - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire. On top of that I've put the clouds background, matted using black cardstock. Onto the background I stamped the birds from the Pirates stamp set. To the right of the background I've added the palm tree from the Penguins in Paradise stamp set.
Unterhalb der Palme kam dann der Wellen-Rest zum Einsatz. Dahinter habe ich den Thank You Circle Frame gesetzt, den ich mit Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon ebenfalls eingefärbt habe. Die Wasserpflanze und die Schildkröte sind aus dem Mermazing Stempelset.
Und weil ich noch eine Element quer auf der Karte wollte, habe ich einen der Texte aus dem All About You Stempelset auf ein kleines Banner gestempelt und quer aufgeklebt.
Underneath the palm tree I used the left over piece with the waves. I've put the Thank You Circle Frame underneath it. It was also inked up with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon. The water plant and the turtoise are from the Mermazing stamp set.
I felt like there was an element missing so I stamped one of the sayings from the All About You stamp set onto a little banner and glued it across the card.
Für die Reste hatte ich übrigens den Wavy Coloring Book Background weiß auf weißes Papier embosst und mit Distress Ink mit Wassertankpinsel "ausgemalt". Die Wolken sind mit der Mini Cloud Edges Schablone gemacht.
For the scraps I had heat embossed the Wavy Coloring Book Background with white embossing powder and then used a water brush to color it in. The clouds were made using the Mini Cloud Edges stencil.
