Meine Mekka-Tauschis 2018

 Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
Last weekend Stempel-Mekka held place - the one stamp fair in Germany that you really should visit! And also this year I was able to attend - it's a pretty long distance away from where I live but hey, it's just once a year! I'll write an extra post about it but today I want to share the swaps I made.

Of course I wanted to make some swaps again this year - you meet so many people you either know since quite some time or meet for the first time. And these swaps are simply part of the Mekka. I wanted to make something mekka related and so didn't want to make a box again this year. So I went brainstorming - and came up with this shopping assistent. I guess because I had just bought the Reveal Wheel die set (yes, I already made my swaps end of june - what's done is done, right?).
I used a dark green cardstock rectangle for the base and put the Reveal Wheel base on top of it. This one was cut from turquoise cardstock and I've stamped the Postscript background by StampinUp all over it. The window can be cut together with the card which makes mass production a bit easier. I still "only" made 20 of these... ;)
The texts on the circle were made using my computer, then printed them out and die cut them with the wheel die.

I've decorated my swap with a wish bingo card by JoyCrafts, a Polaroid frame die by MFT and this cute snail by LeLo. Usually there's "stamped greetings" written on the paper the snail holds in its mouth. But I am quite unscrupulous here - and simply cut that word out to get an empty sheet of paper. To this I've added a handwritten Mekka '18. Of course I kept the "stamped greetings" and can simply put this part of the stamp back in if needed.
The snail was heat embossed with black embossing powder and then colored in with my ZIG brush pens.
The word next to the snail reads shopping assistent and I've printed this - as well as the "should I buy this?" put over the window on top - with my homeprinter.
To the top left I've included an eyelet, put some twine through it and tied a little bottle with a tiny dice in it to the twine. Somehow a decision has to be made, how often the wheel needs to be turned. I know these bottles with dices in them since I was a kid, but haven't seen those since a long time. So I asked in a FB group if anyone can tell me where to get them. Like no one even knew these (proofs I'm really getting old!) and I got the question "what should these be for?" more than once. But I didn't want to share my idea. So I went ahead and ordered some mini dices of  only 5 mm, planning to put them in some tiny bottles I had at home. Well, seems like my maths lessons were too long ago - if not I would have thought of the fact that not the length but the diameter of the dice needs to fit the hole in the bottle... I didn't find any smaller dices so I went ahead and ordered some larger bottles. But now the dice can be shaked properly in this larger bottle.
After putting everything together I stamped a "turn me" from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments set onto the dark green background.

On the back I've included some instructions. Those read:
"Everybody knows that situation - you're not sure if you should by a stamp, die, paper pad.... Some advice would be good here, but you don't always have someone with you. That's where my shopping assistent jumps to the rescue. And that's how it works:
Shake the bottle with the dice and turn the wheel forward as many words as dots on the dice are shown - the number of dots shown on top of the dice count. The word shown in the window afterwards is the answer to the question "should I buy this?".
Have fun!
The words in the window by the way mean "YES!", "definately", "of course" and "well, no". I know, it's a very supportive shopping assistant. ;)

And here I have a video for you:

Ich weiß, der Einkaufsberater ist sehr großzügig... ;)
