Heute mal in Tracht

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hello everyone!
I am joining the JM Creation DT as a guest for the next three months.

Tracht geht hier in Bayern fast immer!

I know that October Fest ended last sunday. But for me as someone born and grown up in Munich the Dirndl Box and the Lederhosn Box were a must have. You can never go wrong with Tracht here in Bavaria. And so there are the first dies I've used.

The box is the same for both versions and is only delivered with the Dirndl. The Lederhose can be purchased as a extra part individually.
Here I've die cut the Dirndl from designer's paper with a flower pattern and used some blue organdy ribbon to "bring it in shape". The top is cut from white cardstock, underneath I've put the skin that is made with another die from the set. I've used my Copics to add some shading and details here in an important spot... ;)
The apron is cut from pink cardstock and I've wrapped some organdy ribbon in a matching color around it and tied it to a bow. The ones that wear a Dirndl more often know: this "lady" is still available...
To the neck I've added a Kropfband, the bavarian name for a traditional kind of choker, and added a flower charm/bead to it.

Also the masculine box in a Lederhose comes dressed up.
Here I've cut the shirt from some Sticky Back Canvas that I've glued onto some white cardstock prior to die cutting the pieces. The collar is folded so I had to die cut the end pieces that get folded over again from the back of the Canvas and then glued them on top of the folded ones.
Under the collar I've added a piece of red and white checked ribbon as a neckerchief.
The pieces for the Lederhose are cut from dark craft colored cardstock. Then I've used a white gelly marker to add some stitching. I've simply re-drawn the stitches that also get cut with the die. Only the ones at the bottom part are hand drewn.
The buttons are cut from dark brown cardstock and I've used a sanding block to bring out the white core a bit.
